Are u meaning to say Twinings sells tea dust? Tea dust is clumped together and sold as Mamra which most Indians except those born in East India use to boil their tea with spices. The East Indians generally like to use leaf tea unflavoured. They understand the importance of the clean flavour of tea and are loathe to ruin it with flavoring, except ginger etc for a cold or some other medicinal purpose.
Big Famous Tea companies, buy different teas and make their own flavours by mixing and matching. I refuse to believe Twinings, Ahmeds, etc sell tea dust. Maybe Liptons, or PG Tips, or Typhoo, Tetley.
Tea dust! Ugh!! Always use whole leaf. Numi and rishi both organic are favorite brands found at Whole Foods.
I kind of disagree with leaf tea vs granulated tea…it all depends on how you make the tea…If you want to blanch the tea leaves in hot water (cover with a lid of the kettle and turn off your stove) for a two or three minutes and decant the hot water (Note: don’t steep for too long or you’ll find your tea has gone bitter). That is generally how English people and Chinese drink their tea. That is how you should drink green tea but that is not how the other parts of the world drink tea. Ceylon tea or Darjeeling tea are leaf tea and have a distinct flavor, aroma and high antioxidant content. Thus, it is preferred to drink them blanching the tea in hot water as I mentioned above. But, there is also a variety that is called black tea like the Assam tea which is generally granulated mixed with some leaves, you boil it in water with ginger and cardamom, then add milk…boil more and that is classic Indian tea or Iranian tea (different procedure but same ingredients) for you. This type of tea is usually (meaning not always) found in tea bags, rather than in loose leaf form. Technically, Darjeeling tea is for flavor (usually goes well without milk and sugar) and Assam tea is full bodied, strong with a malty flavor and high caffeine content (usually goes well with milk and sugar). I will add here that, though Ceylon tea is black tea it is also found in loose leaf tea form which has a very beautiful citrus aroma and the granulated ceylon tea can be used similar to assam tea as in tea bags or loose. The final quality of the tea depend on many factors – soil, climate, plant, leaf type, harvesting time, processing methods and much more. For example: Assam orange pekoe and Assam CTC have a very different flavor profile than Darjeeling tea or ceylon tea or other black teas. All these pumpkin tea, hibiscus tea or turmeric tea etc, are nonsense tea…that is for amateur tea drinkers, who don’t even know what tea is. The taste and flavor of tea should never be masked with other things. Similarly, I am pure black coffee person and thus goes without saying I am not a fan of Hazelnut Coffee or Pumpkin Spice Coffee. Simplicity is an art!!

I been drinking tea for 12-13 yrs and have learned through trial and error. The only problem I have with this video is that I would never buy tea from the grocery store, even if it is organic. Tea purchased from grocery store is low grade.
Find a tea shop that sells bulk and do your homework, talk to the owner and ask if they take trips to China and visit the farms, and are they talkIng to the tea farmers and asking about their farming practices.
I have been to seven Chinatown’s and I have found good tea. “The Chinese Tea Shop” in Vancouver, BC is my absolute favorite shop and with the owner being a tea master he knows his tea and it is high grade. He does ship anywhere and offers free shipping over $75

Ok so try this one out! Buy Taj mahal or Red label from any Indian store and here it goes
Boil 1cup of water put 1 TBsp of tea powder and 1.5 Tbsp of sugar let it be rolling boil add 1 cup of whole milk! Let it boil to get a nice color don’t overboil though add a pinch of cardamom powder and dash of grated ginger( Avoid if you r allergic to any) let it just get one more final boil switch off the flame and filter into the cup!! Relax and enjoy! A day that starts with T is a BeauTful Day!!

Coco cola bought honest tea in 2011. I use to love honest tea when i tried it recently it tasted watered down and really sweet and in my local store it was now in plastic! I also knoe Coke owns Fairlife milk. So do your homework and if taste or quality changes see if its ownership changed hands. Thanks for this video in the future you may want to include the mfg of the brand.

Don’t buy plastic like tea bags, they can release plastic particles when brewed in hot water.
Unless I haven’t seen it yet, maybe you can do a kid specific video…this is when you should start good eating habits and be able to recognize it.
If you want to pay 4x for your tea, then get the whole leaf. If you are drinking for health benefits, and don’t mind a little bitterness, then buy what you can afford.
I just started following you. Now I’m not by any mean doing keto but I’m trying to limit sugar and trying to eliminate as much items with harmful ingredients and lab infused flavorings. I feel like I need to create my own cheat sheet for what to look out for in the ingredients. I wish I knew what was an okay ingredient if I’m not strictly on the same food preferred list as someone on Keto.
Either way I shop at cost co frequently so I’m definitely going to start buying some of the items that you approve. Some items I can’t afford as we are going to be a family of 5, the budget just doesn’t allow it.

I’ve had a dairy allergy for two years now and I am also a major ice cream lover. Needless to say, I’ve tried a million different dairy free ice creams and I’m confident in saying that they literally chose the worst ones on the market. The Ben and Jerry’s peanut butter and cookies is absolutely spectacular and the Haagen Dazs salted fudge truffle is better than some regular ice creams. Some people probably like some coconut based ones too but I don’t like my ice cream to taste like coconuts. I also love homemade banana ice cream! There are so many options out there if you’re dairy free!

Y’all forgot to try Tofutti’s ice cream! That’s the best one! Not only does it taste delicious, but it’s so easy to scoop it out of the container. No need to microwave the spoon or the container.

I have to disagree with Bobby on the importance of organic with tea. Many high quality teas I’ve had from tea houses were not certified organic. Just because it’s certified organic does not mean it’s good quality.

so much misinformation. foods imported from china undergo heavy metals and contaminant testing the same as any food grown in America. organic vs non-organic really does not matter in terms of toxicity. an organic farmer can grow their crop in naturally high-lead soil just as easily as a non-organic one. I am also highly skeptical of there being an enviromental benefit to organic farming. I recommend learning about the Haber process you may be interested to learn that without ‘inorganic’ fixation of nitrogen from the atmosphere, modern human life is likely impossible. 80% of the nitrogen in your body actually comes from the Haber process.
really, if you are concerned about food being potentially harmful towards your health, just don’t eat anything from the oceans and don’t drink alcohol. both of these have proven neurotoxic potential.

I actually hate the brand coconut bliss, and it is one of the most expensive brands here in Canada. The best dairy free ice cream is so delicious cashew. Cashew based ice cream is best.
once tried dairy free yogurt. i think it was coconut milk instead of normal milk, i am assuming the last two ice creams tasted like the yogurt
I swear they interview vegans and say “what are the absolute worst dairy-free ice creams you’ve ever had?” and then use those flavours… Because the stuff I eat, nobody has ever had a negative reaction to it… Silk vanilla soy, so delicious caramel cashew, ben and jerry’s any flavour, like…. get with it.
I’m allergic to eggs, coconut, lactose-intolerant.
So it’s sucks that there is ice cream I can eat cause it’s milk free but can’t cause it has coconut.
I can’t remember which but I’m allergic to two brands of ice cream. They both taste really bad to me and it doesn’t have egg in it, and I’m fine with milk. It didn’t have coconut so I’m allergic to a few other things too.
Coconut so far is my worst allergy.
I can’t inhale it, touch it, eat food it. Unless it’s very little like Chips-A-Hoy Oreo Creme filling cookies.
And today I had a reaction to my friends lotion that had coconut oil in it and it came into contact with my skin and I had to itch. So I ended up with two giant rashes on my arms. I didn’t even know it had coconut until after scratching my skin off, quite literally.
Egg I can inhale it, cause my mom cooks it all the time. But if I have an allergic reaction to egg or coconut from digestion, then my body because “sensitive” for about a week, meaning I have to avoid egg and coconut. Dairy too if necessary.
So since I ate a cookie with coconut, and passed out, my body became sensitive to my allergies, and I had a reaction to a lotion I was fine with before. That’s what I mean. It’s horrible loving this way but better this way than no way right?
I also get nosebleeds if my body temperature or my environment is too hot. Or from laughing to much and too hard(like today).
My friend wore that lotion before and I’m sure I was fine, but two days ago my friend gave me a cookie filled with coconut. The packaging said White Chocolate cookie.
Worst day of my life.
I don’t have medication or E-pens. I don’t have an allergist cause I have a very unreasonable fear of the doctors. My brother is diagnosed with his allergies. Im not. So living is harder for me because I can’t get prescriptions.
I passed out that same day two hours later after I got home after eating the cookie. At 2:30 and didn’t wake up till 4:50 in the morning.
As I am typing this, stomach acid is repeatedly going up to my throat like I’m going to vomit but it won’t come out. Vomiting sounds better than this burn. I can’t lay down.
I didn’t understand why bagged tea is not good even if it’s organic ��

What water filter do you use and suggest? Nowadays mostly water filter pitchers are made from plastic. Need we avoid it?

Rice dream is vegan. If it says it’s manufactured in the same place it serves as an allergy warning, it’s basically there for legal reasons. It’s not because it’s actually in the ice cream. You can eat it if your vegan but probably not if you have a severe allergy

Please talk about why you would opt for Yerba mate, English Breakfast, camomile, Earl Grey, Matcha, or Hibiscus. That all have their uses. What about picking your own flowers or pine needles? I love your show!
Tawra and Mike are right. I work in healthcare. And a lot of people that are truly homeless have some form of mental illness that makes it hard to maintain a full time job or even staying on top of bills if they get social security. Without real family support a lot of mental health patients fall through the cracks and end up homeless unfortunately.
Not Vegan, the label says sugar, not organic sugar. White refine cane sugar is processed with bone char to make it white.
You should have gone to walmart since most people are not near the stores you mentioned. As for buying vanilla…I think its okay but chocolate is way better. Walmart has Halo and Artic Zero with only 160 calories for the entire pint. Halo had like 360 for the whole pint.Calories do matter you should have told us that as well. Love the videos btw.

They should’ve tried Ben and Jerry’s dairy free ice cream. Ben and Jerry’s dairy free ice cream is the BEST! I am lactose intolerant but I love ice cream so I always buy Ben and Jerry’s because it tastes exactly like regular ice cream but less calories and no stomach ache.

This week I tried your vegeburger recipe. I didn’t have tomato juice, so I substituted ketchup. Then added a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and some garlic. They were delicious. Even my 5 year old carnivore loved it.

We don’t always have (raw) milk from the dairy (it’s quite a drive out to get it); I often mix sour cream or yogurt with water in place of milk for baking muffins, pancakes, biscuits etc. Works well:-)

I’m 64 & widowed for 20 years. I stopped cooking like you do. Then when I saw what was happening about 3 wks ago, I got scared. I went & bought baking supplies, rice& beans, lard, boxed milk from dollar store, canned meats, condiments & spices. Today in Mich, we are on essential travel only status. We can still go to get groceries but according my nieces the shelves are empty. I am so glad I had the foresight to get essentials so I can provide food for them as well. I think it will be only days that we will be on total lock down. Both nieces were sent home today from their jobs in RV industries in IN. They both have children and are devastated. I will be buying your cookbook for both of them as they can now appreciate cooking over fast food!��Thanks for your videos!

I put 2 gallons of coconut oil in the freezer. I took one out and it is now half gone and works the same as before freezing it. That True Lemon is amazing stuff.
Please do not buy pre ground flax seeds. The begin to go rancid as soon as they are ground. Grind them as you need them.

So you think processed stevia sweetener is healthier than the organic cane sugar? Since I am not obese, I rather choose organic cane sugar.
