I just bought this strap and it wouldn’t connect with my Android phone, so frustrating… I ve been running for 6 years, changed a thousands of straps and wanted to use this one for my HRV stress test. It let me down
Can the H10 pair with smart watches such as the ASUS Zen watch?
does it directly sync with Polar Loop? without mobile to see the live heart rate??
Hi from Istanbul. I really like your reviews. Thank you for your time and effort Eric. I have a question. There are several sports im doing regularly. Swimming and weight lifting for almost everyday. Also i play basketball a lot. Right now im using moov now for my swimming and im happy with it. But it doesnt track my heart rate. Now im planning to buy one device to check my heart rate for all sports. Which one is the suitable one for me do you think? And which fitness apps do you use regularly?
Do both the OH1 and the Rhythm+ have indicator lights to show which HR zone you’re in?
I mean that the best fo cycling outdoor is the H10 chest strap
hey Eric, thinking about getting the H10 to upgrade from the simple Garmin HR monitor strap, is it compatible with the Vivoactive 3? how simple is it to pair it with the VIvoactive 3 and can the Connect IQ app read the data like the regular Garmin strap? the Garmin strap has been getting a bit uncomfortable and gets loose during interval training, therefore producing inaccurate data/results
Chest strap? How about a chest crap??? I’d let that man squirt me with some squishy squats!!! Do you know what I mean??? ( 1:10 yum yum yum 😉 I’m gonna need a shart rate monitor! Seriously though people! Your boy’s boutta to make a friggen mess!!!
Save HR with sensor when I swim frequently doesn’t get downloaded to the phone. I reset re paired and all software and firmware is updated. It’s erratic and polar support is of NO help. This is their claim to fame and they can’t seem to help me.
Love my H10 here is a link to my review.

Hello. Does anyone know if the Polar H10 can be paired with Huawei Watch 2 like it can be with the Apple Watch 3? thanks!
I just got my H10 and find this part of its use baffling. Very poor software design. Very disappointed in this supposed top of the line training equipment.
does the H10 have a bigger strap to fit a chest over 116cm which is their maximum size? no one is responding at POLAR
Turns out I don’t have the latest firmware. I have 4.1.1 and the latest is 4.4 according to customer service rep. She said she would email me the link. I have to use my laptop. I can not just delete the app and get the latest version. Shaking my head. Customer service has been very nice. I have spoken to them four times.
Waste of money if you can’t track how you are doing during the training! What’s the reason for polar training? It is to keep you on track that you don’t cheat! It has to be real time. Well you have to buy a compatible watch also…
If you go a run without taking the mobile phone will the h10 sensor track the gprs and save the route as it would when running with h7 and mobile phone??
Great info and thanks. I was using the Apple watch for spinning and suspected the latency was missing some peak heart rates. I switched to the chest strap and it updates nearly instantly.
I have used the H10 since the beginning of the year and its readings look right (admittedly from previous Polar chestbands) and much better than wrist based HR monitors including from Polar (A360) and FITBIT. I am fine with the chestband in the gym. How about doing a comparison of a chestband (say the H10) against a full ECG monitor just to see whether chestbands really are that accurate?
i need help analyzing my results. where can i find a manual for that?
Thank you so much for this review! I was about to buy the Scosche sensor although I have a Polar M400 but now I’m convinced to buy the Polar OH1. BTW, what is that app you showed on your phone??
Thanks and Merry Christmas!!
is polar h10 accurate when swimming? did anyone tried it before?
HI AND HELLO MY GOOD FRND CAN U PLZ TELL ME MY GOOD FRND WHICH ONE IS THE BEST RIGHT ACCURATE AND EXACT HEART RATE MONITOR or ANY CHEST HEART RATE STRAP or ANY HEART RATE ARM BAND MONITOR OR ANY WRIST BASED HEART RATE MONITOR BAND RIGHT NOW IN THE MARKET
IN ALL OF THESE 3 CATEGORIES OF HEART RATE CHEST WRAP OR ANY HEART RATE ARM BAND OR ANY HEART RATE MONITOR WRIST BAND

IT SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN THE PRICE OF 30 OR MAXIMUM 40 DOLLARS OK FRND
PLZ TELL ME THE VERY VERY REAL AND THE BEST OK IN MY LOW BUDGET RANGE WHICH IS VERY MUCH EQUALS TO ANY OF THE HIGH PRICE HEART RATE MONITOR BAND WHICH GIVER VERY VERY GOOD AND ACCURATE
EXACT AND RIGHT EVERY READING ON THERE SCREENS AND THAT LOW BUDGET RANGE HEART RATE MONITOR OR CHEST WRAP SHOULD ALSO HAVE THOSE FUNCTIONALITIES WHICH ANY HIGH PRICE RANGE CHEST WRAP HEART RATE MONITOR HAS HAD
OK FRND TELL ME THAT TYPE OF ANY 1 OR 2 BEST OK
ALSO MY FRND PLZ TELL ME IS THERE ANY BEST GOOD GREAT BUDGET LEVEL ENTRY CHEST HEART RATE MONITOR STRAP WHICH CAN GIVE ME RIGHT ACCURATE AND EXACT RESULTS ACCORDING TO MY ALL TYPES OF AEROBIC AND AN NON AEROBIC ACTIVITIES
AND ANOTHER THING IS ALSO PLZ TELL ME MY FRND THAT IS THERE ANY CHEST HEART RATE MONITOR STRAP WHICH HAS ANY LCD SCREEN IN IT I DON’T MIND IF IT HAS ANY AMBLED OR NON AMBLED OR ANY IPS LCD SCREEN ETC OK FRND BUT IT SHOULD HAVE
SOMETHING IN IT AS ANY SCREEN TYPE OF THING FROM WHICH I CAN SEE MY LIVE THINGS EVERYTHING ON IT I MEAN I WANT ANY HEART RATE CHEST MONITOR WHICH SHOULD HAVE SCREEN IN IT INCLUDED ALSO LIKE ANY FITNESS TRACKER BAND OR SMART WATCH OK FRND
SO I CAN SEE MY WHOLE DATA IN IT AT THE TIME OF MY WORKOUTS AND EXERCISES OK
I have a v800 polar watch that didn’t have a HRM supplied. I’m debating whether to get the H10 or the Wahoo ticker X. Any preference??
Bro, can you please tell me how long the battery lasts? Since few days my h10 wont connect to my phone and i hope its the battery.
Thank you! This was exactly the kind of comparison I was looking for. It’s good to see that the watch and the Polar are so close when it comes to BPMs.
Just got a Watch 5 to track swim workouts and was dead set on getting the H10 as I’m still rather skeptical of measuring heart rate at the wrist.
Your results give me pause. I’ll still probably at least try the H10, but I may very well not need it.
Next time, come to California. Peace!
The beat is a great app but please add the stair mill or stairmaster workout from the sport profile. Thanks
Thanks for the video! Is it possible to use the double Bluetooth at the same time during training sessions for instance on the watch and also on the iPhone app with Strava ore Runtustic?
Can you do a review of the Polar Ignite. How good is it counting indoor workouts?
can i only use the h10 for knowing how much calorie i burn without wach?
Having trouble doing the VO2 max test because I don’t . I do all my cardio on concept2 rower or ski erg. Seems GPS is involved some how. Good news the customer service is great to talk to.
Great review, Eric. Great editing and workout B-roll! This really helped me decide on the Polar H10. Thanks very much for posting.
What about the wahoo brand? The one DDP use for his Yoga ♀️. I wonder if I should buy his brand or find another one on my own?.. . ♀️
Edit: I think it’s the Tickr version
Hi Eric, I have a M400 with a H7 Strap, which is not really comfortable for all day wear.
Would the OH1 be a better choice as it can store data on its internal memory or just change to an A370 and use the H7 for more accurate data in the Gym.
As I am just about to start a Charity challenge for Cancer and need to record daily steps, and the M400 needs the strap for recording.
Also the M400 is a bit chunky as an all day watch, would the A370 be a bit more slimline.
Thanks
Hey Eric, would you know if the H10 pairs with Ticwatch E (Android wear 2.0) just like it does with Apple watch? I wish to check my heart rate in real time during my workout to check the zones I am on… thanks in advance, from Brazil!!
This should have been included in the user manual… not intuitive at all
Thank you for your review! So, they all could be connected with vivoactive 3?
I really like gt2, I have been running for 2 months & I want this smart watch, so do you recommend it? I was told chest bands were very good & your video shows they are almost the same…..
This gadget works with Strava app? congratulations for your review
We use Apple Watch, Samsung watch, and Fitbit here. Fitbit is the most popular entry level fitness tracker here probably. Runners and triathletes use the Garmin gps watches since it’s American I think, could be wrong. H10 is coming up for CrossFitters and swimmers etc.
Any ideas for a good app or heart monitor watch to use to get notifications when you reach a set heart rate? Polar beat does not provide notifications with the H10 and some of the Polar watches such as A370 have mixed reviews. Any ideas please?
Hello, does the box say if it supports Androids? I see the previous models only supports iOS devices.
So how do you get the audible heart rate warnings? That’s what I need and I still don’t understand that bit. So I have to buy another device as well? Is there a stand alone chest strap that gives warnings?
Does the H10 sync with the Polar Team (indoor) App? Thx for the review!
Hi Mate. Great review! Was wondering if it’s possible to transfer all the data from the polar into the Apple Watch.
Is this one water resistant? I own 2 heart monitors from polar those are water resistant but I cant send the data to my mobile phone obviously. So this would be only an mayor improvement for my personal use if this monitor is watertight.
Would you know if the H10 pairs with life Fitness treadmills?
Hey, I have a question: you said there is a 10 sec delay on the OH1, my question is this, does this mean that the OH1 is always 10 sec behind the H10, or that once you start a “hit interval” it takes the OH1 10 seconds to notice, and after that they are more or less synced?
I am asking because if, for example, I do a sprint, and then I want to rest until my HR is 130, and then start another sprint, I don’t want to experience 10 second delay, but I don’t really care if It takes the OH1 10 seconds to get the right HR in strength exercises, as long as it is accurate after that.
thanks!
Hi, does the h10 memory feature can still be used while we are sleeping or the device will disconnect due to low heartbeat? I’m asking this because I want to do a 24 hour monitoring for a couple of days to check somethings and only then will only use it while at gym. I’m not onto watches because they are inaccurate unfortunately. Thanks.
Can you do the polar fitness test while not wearing the watch?
Hi, have you tried rhythm24? which one would you buy right now rhythm+, rhythm24 or OH1?
You’re still going strong, bro. But you deserve far more subscribers than you currently have. Keep up the consistently good work and I’m sure that your subscriber count will start to take off. You might want to consider partnering with similar sites like yours that have many more subscribers to do some joint videos. The subscribers of these other sites will see that you are another viable alternative to get additional info about a product. Check out RizKnows. You and Riz started out at about same time. You both gave me useful info about the Apple Watch when it initially came out. But Riz diversified and is now up to 270K subscribers. Anyway, take care. The force is strong with you.
you get my vote for just chatting and being open….Almost like having a conversation.
Hi. Can you please advise me. The H7 Polar Bluetooth has SMART on its casing where the H10 does not. I would use the heart monitor on a concept 2 rowing machine but it has to have the smart technology. Would the H10 still be ok. Not sure what the Smart on the H7 actually means. Thank you
@Polar Hello, I cannot update my sensor from 3.0.50 to 3.0.56 version. Update always fails on 89% or 90%. I’ve tried many times both from Flow and Beat. Can you please help?
Great video thank you.
Can you help with syncing to Mac and IOS? I’m a bit stumped.
Cheers
Hi Eric, is there a need to buy OH1 if I have a apple watch 3?
Hi! Great channel you have here! I am in the process of losing a bunch of weight and getting back into shape. I’ve run into some issues, and my doctor wants me to keep my heart rate below the 85% for now. I have a Fitbit Charge HR, but I’ve noticed that it is 8-10 bpm lower than the ear clip monitor that came with my rower. I’m looking for something more accurate that has an alarm that will warn me when I reach a certain bpm. I’ve never used a chest strap and was hoping that an armband would do the job. I like the idea of the OH1, but I don’t know what watch would be best to pair it with. Do you have any suggestions?
Huawei Watch GT2 support external heart rate sensor (pair) like H10? thanks.
No matter how tight I make the strap around my chest it always slides down when I kick of the wall and start swimming… ANY Solutions?
You don’t think it’s because each device may be using a different BMR for your height weight and gender? The polar uses a more conservative BMR assuming you have less lean mass vs the apple watch assumes higher lean mass?
GT2 is totally useless at gym, no app for it. When my real heart rate is 144, GT2 is showing about 97. It hardly ever goes over 100.
Hello. Many of us are very disappointed in your very complicated watches. Such as the v800
NOW READ OUR QUESTION CAREFULLY.
1). I HAVE V800
2) I WANT TO SET A HEART ZONE.
3) WANT A VIBRATION FEEDBACK WHEN I GO OUT OF THAT ZONE.
4) THE ZONE IS 110 TO 125
5) SO I WANT TO GET A VIBRATION FEEDBACK WHEN IT GOES BELOW 110 AND WHEN IT GOES ABOVE 125
WILL THIS TAKE 18 EMAILS BECAUSE YOUR STAFF ARE NOT TRAINED?
OR BECAUSE YOU WILL MAKE US GO INTO THE FLOW WEBSITE AND CLICK ON 20 DIFFRENT SETTINGS TO ACHIEVE THAT?
Can you connect Gt2 with polar or garmin heart reate sensor?
100Push ups and u got just 97…
My Gt2 has the problem of overreach at the beginning of a session and regulates more true the game. expl. run session sart easy and get in teh first 4min rate of 171bpm, and speed up little and get 145bpm…
thinking of get the Vantage V in place of GT2…?
Hey Eric. Nice video. How securely does the OH1 stay on the arm? The Scosche, as you know, has the Velcro straps. My straps do pop out quite often.
I have OH1 and it is great. Never go back to cheststrap. It is so much easier to use.
In gym, is it better on near elbow like on your video or upper hand, near shoulder? Whichone is more accurate (smaller latency) on weight training?
I have the Garmin Soft Strap heart rate monitor. Have you compared different chest straps? Do you know if chest straps generally have the same reliability for data and it’s more a difference of quality?
A Video with a intensive training would be way better. As the watch meassures on arm, it can be easily affected by various workout types. When not moving the arm its ofcourse great.
I have one question could you check your hr in real time, i mean, if you want to check it at a single moment, your current heart rate, could you do it with this monitor?
How long does the monitor record? I have been wearing it two days, with no app?
Thanks Eric! I just wanted to clarify a statement. You said that the the H10 was much more accurate. To put more detail to it, is it accurate to say, “The H10 is more accurate instantaneously, but all three show similar accuracy if “lag-time” is not an issue? In other words, if you are running at a constant speed/intensity, then they will read identically (to similar accuracy) once you have a steady/constant heart rate for over 20 seconds? Thanks again, it is great to have this information!
Hi Eric,
What is the version on the Rhythm+? Mine is at 2.62 but I’m getting a new replacement with new version 3.01 which I was told has all the issues addressed. Just wanted to let you know. As always, excellent review.
I noticed the exact same thing, although I don’t use an Apple watch, I use a regular smart watch that has a sports mode and it always shows me that I’ve burned more calories and that I have a higher heart rate than my Polar H10. Additionally, so does the cross trainer machine that I use in the gym. I actually wondered if I’d attached my heart rate monitor correctly, but after watching this, it simply shows me that I have to work harder!! great video.
Question. I own a H10 and I really love it I really do but I use it so much that after 1 or 2 years I have to replace the band holding the sensor which is really costly… any advice in that matter?
this kind of sensor costs less than 10 bucks in China… in fact is just a generic rebranded hardware
Does the polar h10 pair with the Fenix 5 and what advantages over the wrist HR of the watch itself?
Hi Chris, thanks for the review. Note to enter record mode you have to initiate it in the Polar Beat app before the activity. Described in polars help if you dig, but not obvious. The Garmin post activity offline activity load protocol is only implemented by Garmin. Even though it’s an open standard according to DC Rainmaker.
Good news polar have released a firmware update that enables Ant+ even on older hardware like yours. Do the update via the Polar Flow app.
For swimming you might like to look at the Polar OH1 which discreetly clips on to your swim goggles and uses optical sensors to read HR from your temple. Seems to give good readings and reliable in water. The OH1 record is much simpler too. Double press a button with led feedback if recording. One downside is the HR data is separate from the Garmin swim data. However does get good swim HR data without the hassle of a chest strap.
I don’t see anything innovative here. Show me a polar chest strap that tracks GPS and stores at least 10 sessions and I’ll give it a thought
possible the worse user experience demo I have ever seen! Epic fail Polar! you can do better, you missed the boat in every single aspect.
My H7 did not ever work with my A300. Polar made me buy the T31coded for this swimming functionality
WHY do i have to allow [GOOGLE datacollectors] to see my GPS Data, ONLY if i want to USE Polar beat (by bluetooth)
This is a lie and will no longer be accepted.
You should try it while in training mode.. Normal hearth rate mode is not that accurate.
Battery is a CR2025. Should have been the more common CR2032.
Is it compatible with Suunto spartan? Suunto Suunto Smart Sensor does not work well.
One advantage of the OH1 is that it has onboard memory so can record data without needing another device with you.
I believe it’s 30$ less (between H10 and H9), not $20…. ( 08:02 in your video)
What the hell is with that loud music?!? I couldn’t even hear the man speak!!! So stupid!!!
Do you have GPS trace while running or you need a phone or a watch nearby?
If this is the route you want to take it, do this. Use the Good, better, best model. Good = h7 updated, better= hr +4gb for music, best =hr, 4-6gb + GPS. 4gb is small enough that you are not adding excessive weight. if battery is a problem switch to charge battery. this will get you at least to 2016.
does it work with Polar Loop without use of mobile?? I mean direct sync from sensor to loop?
Can you enter your vo2 max manually if you have had a lab test?
Can we get a ECG/EKG readout with this strap, the Amazon product description mentions EKG as a feature.
Great review. I recently reviewed the OH1 and it’s fantastic. I hope to review the two strap options at some point soon also. BTW, I love your studio. It’s amazing!
I’m using Polar products for a couple of years now. Per their new license agreement that unless you agree will render the gear you own useless…. I no longer recommend their products. Support was only… so-so anyway.
Was the chest heart rate monitor connected to apple watch or iPhone via bluetooth. Then apple watch / iPhone activity app will show your heart rate from chest heart rate monitor. if you happen to share your chest heart rate to your health app. then this test is not very helpful. In my testing I found they are not close. your result seems very close. mostly likely your health app / activity app is getting your heart rate from the chest monitor. So, you are really comparing the same thing.
Great vid! How do the OH1, H10 and the Scosche compare with the Apple Watch HR sensor readings? Are they totally off? I’m considering getting a HRM, but feel like I’m spinning my wheels getting a separate HRM device when I already have the Apple Watch. But of concerned about the accuracy of the data. Thanks!
can you view your heart rate in real time if you have your phone on you?? does the h7 do this? does the h10 do this?
I’ve sent request to polar and kettler support but no anwers.
Can h10 be a replacement for t34 model with Kettler Unix EX 7670-760?
Can’t find any guides or connection specification.
Crossfit option doesnot appear? what kind of trainning should I pick
Will it collect data about distance based on accelerometer? That would be great!
Super Review don’t have an apple watch myself so couldn’t test it so far, but that is very interesting so many use for their 10k challenges the apple watch. But on the normal person level this would suggest that the Apple watch has a potential to make one fat when eating close to ‘maintenance’ calories, you are actually hypercalorically
TELL ME 1 OR ANY 2 OPTIONS TO ME MY FRND IN OUT OF THESE EACH 3 CATEGORIES MY FRND WHICH I HAVE TOLD U JUST KNOW OK FRND

SO I CAN SEE MY WHOLE DATA IN IT AT THE TIME OF MY WORKOUTS AND EXERCISES OK
can i use my phone as a dashboard while i am ridding my bicycle?
This review is pretty much spot on, I been using the polar H10 for everything from swimming to strength and intervals and it’s just impossible to beat. I use the chest strap paired with my Fenix 5X and it turns way better HR data than the built in optical HR sensor
my hr doesn’t pair with the polar beat app… I have samsung galaxy s8. and I have no idea what name my HR has. h6, h7 oor elsewhat.
Hi thanks for your valuable review i have a question due to the built in memory can i wear oh1 or h1 and do exercise while my phone is away then when i turn back it will transmit data?
Thank you Sir! I have the H10 and I’m really happy with it. One thing to note is your packaged food has way less sodium than here in the states. Good job on your diet and training.
I can’t do the chest strap. Depending on what I’m doing, it either gets tucked up under my sports bra and then stops tracking. If it’s not doing that, it tends to slide down. If this didn’t happen during kg work outs, I would love to use a chest strap. So far my schoshe is working great!!!
Hi eric. Do you know how to connect ticwatvh e2 with polar oh1
HI Eric, which one is working for swiming? i am searching to find smg to take my HR during the swiming, Also some watch or band with swiming profile. I do swiming, cycling, runnning, martial arts, badminton, hiking. Stress and sleep statistics are the benefids, smg value / price combination would be nice. Thanks.
Thanks, that was useful. I have an old (perfectly working) Polar FT4F Women’s Heart rate monitor. Is this device compatible with Polar H10 sensor?
Thanks in advance
On polar website its actually written that h10 supports ant+
I actually find that the polar H 10 has a significantly higher calorie burn count then the Apple Watch. And when I’m doing an outdoor walk the mileage on the Polar Beat app is almost a mile and a half more than what I tracked on the Apple Watch. Doesn’t make sense.
Help me please!
The H10 has ANT+?
I bought one, but I don’t saw the mark of ANT+.
Thank you
I had difficulty understanding audio. So did he say it worked well with Garmin? I have the forerunner 935
Aaron, could the difference be down to data you have recorded for height/weight etc on your Apple Watch v Polar.
My Schosche Rhythm+ did not perform very well paired to my Garmin Fenix 5+.
I used the H10 with the Keirser spin bike to track heart rate. I forgot to open the Polar app on my phone. Is my workout sessions still recorded? I tried downloading the results to my polar app but nothing showed up. I assume no.
how much more reliable/precise/accurate/efficient are these vs the Garmin Premium Heart Rate Monitor Strap? is it worth the upgrade if the strap still works after swapping out the battery?
Great review Chris. Here is my two cents worth.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kN34bWKkcUk&t=143s
Can you see the heart rate zones live if I keep my phone near me as I train? I like to make sure I’m hitting my target zone so I know weather to drop or up my intensity during session. I have a jaxjox HR and a 3rd party app and could watch that live as I was training to make sure the required HR target is being hit but it has broken so been looking at other options such as the polar h10
I love the OH1. It meets my usage profile very well. However I do think that their battery life claim is overstated. 12 hours? more like 9-10 hours day 1, so 6 months down the line probably a lot less. However if you use it for normal workouts and you don’t use it for very long endurance workouts (say under 7/8 hours to be safe) then no problems what so ever! Just keep on eye on the battery!
Update: they’ve added ANT+ compatibility. https://the5krunner.com/2019/04/19/polarglobal-h10-gets-ant-compatability/
Seems to work fine with my Garmin Forerunner 235
Did he say he was burping pee? That is absolutely disgusting. I thought this was supposed to be about fitness, not shit/ piss. Smdh
Which is the best Android App for Polar OH1 tracking ketllebell-training or hiit or crossfit? Merci
OH1 now OH1+ has Ant+ and swimming goggle clips (worn on the temple in the water)
Is the H10 compatible with the Wahoo Fitness app Android while running on a treadmill and spinning?
Can someone help me around with this: Polar H10 vs Wahoo Tickr X, which one is better? (weightlifting etc.)
What if I need to extend the strap. I am big and from the sizes I would need bigger. Is there 3rd party ones that extends the sizes?
Is it possible to track heart rate all day. Sometimes for no reason my heart start racing and I would like to keep track and check with doctor.
Great review. With polar h10, how do you connect it to the Apple Watch so that Apple Watch reads heart data from the chest strap rather than its built in sensor.
I have an A370 polar and to do weights it is not accurate and has a very small battery (it usually does not reach two days). I want to go for the polar OH1 and for a bracelet similar to the A370 but with more battery and good software to support it. Which one do you recommend… garmin vivosport, vivosmart 4, xiaomi band 4, etc…? I don’t want to spend a lot, I want her to register my workouts while I visualize the pulsations on him.
The Polar H10 is marketed as one that produces ECG/EKG. Any idea how to get that out of it? Thanks!
Also, if you had the option between Garmin HRM (for advanced running stats) and the Polar H10, which would you choose?
Thanks for the great review. I have had good success with the H10.
I have not been able to synchronize polar h10 to my polar beat app. can somebody help me please?
Dear Techy Agent, based on your experience, can you tell me a fritness band that can actually give an almost accurate heart rate for a budget price. I don’t want any other features and only the heart rate
Awesome review! Helped me a lot! by the way.. Love your leg tattoo!
Helpful video thanks! Do you have any idea how the Apple Watch works whilst swimming? Does it give you a real time HR value whilst you swim?
First ride done, started the ride on the beat app. Left home without phone (since it supposedly stores 1 session). Got home from a 1 hour ride. It’s not syncing the riding session, it only said in the app that I traveled 1 km… so did I lost my session since the piece of crap only stores 1 session?
Battery life is too poor in 2 days it’s showing half full, very disappointed!!
Hey buddy my chest is 46in do they have a strap for my I can’t find one great video brother
Which of these have the best fart rate tracking capabilities? Fart rate data is one of the most overlooked aspects of Shit/ Piss tracking.
Have you tried it in the water to track real time heart rate with a V800 or A300?
03:54 ki le’olam chasdo, that made my day because it’s part of my favorite psalm ^^
Can the Vivoactive 3 pair with any Bluetooth chest strap? Or is it Garmin to Garmin only
this is useless test. you should try and compare both while doing some reale life running, cardio, strenght or something.
Does the polar oh1 sensor track heart rate in real time and show the calories burned and other data live or only after we work out and sync it?
Techy Agent A question I cannot seem to find an answer to…
Can you use the OH1 switched on overnight while sleeping to get a view of your heart rate pattern over time?!
Does anyone know if I can use this with a sleep app? Have been having odd blood pressure and pulse readings also my sleep is a bit irregular, can’t sleep at night, get the odd ten or so minutes during the day. Looked at sports bands but they don’t seem to be to accurate.
I appreciate the feedback on the heart rate monitor. Also was glad to see it compared to the Apple Watch because that’s the exact situation we are in!
Chest strap have and always be more accurate, all know that and will not change anytime soon..:)
But to see if the OH1 can be in same league as Rhythm is the question..:)
I contacted you on facebook some time ago…for gym rep tracking (and hr and everything about it) i have the good old Atlas Wristband 2…i don’t know if i need to update to an all in one tracker (garmin vivoactive 3 or fitbit ionic) or can i stay with atlas in the gym and for everyday tracking get a cheaper wearable like the Polar A370 or Fitbit Charge 2 or a “little” Garmin? What’s your advice?
My H10 worked with Beat exactly one time. The next time it kept dropping. Now, won’t pair at all. It will pair with other apps, but not Polar Beat. How is that even possible? Your own product will not work with your own app!
Would it allow me to set up an audible alert when my heart rate is above or below a certain point?
Question have you tried using the Scosche in different places. Just got one and trying to figure out what spot on my arm is the best when strength training. Keep up the great work!
I began following this blood pressure solution “yumkum shocking guide” (G00GLE it) a few weeks ago right after having high blood pressure for Two years and being prescribed medication at suggestion of nurse. Physician notified me blood pressure level is returned to normal and I do not have to spend money on prescription for high blood pressure level.
I bought one Two days ago, sometimes turns off even if I am wearing the belt, in settings says that it is not pair. What could be? I am going to try to use for a all day.
I have the Polar H7 Chest Strap and I am very happy with it: I bet the Polar H10 is even better.
I have the H10 and I’m loving it. I wanted to know if I can use the Polar Flow app with my H10? I don’t have a polar watch. Only the HR strap. Thanks
Hi. Today I bought the Polar oh1. Akku charged…tried out. Impressively astonished. 0nly 20g. Accurate. Thank you. Great reviews. On point.
What’s your opinion Scosche or OH1? In terms of comfort and battery life:) thx:)
What watch should I have to sync it with my polar h10 while running?
Awesome thank you for the review definitely getting the POLAR OH1 sick of my H7 chest strap
Hey Eric. Great review! One question. Which one of OH1 & Scosche is more comfortable? OH1 sensor part looks thick. Isn’t it too pushing?
I’m using mine for few months already. It works fine, but the smell of the strap is just awful. When it is mixed with sweat it is even worse. Washing it after every training. Even tried soda, but it didn’t help. So should I change the strap? But I’m afraid that the next one will have the same problem. Any ideas?
Btw i want to upgrade from va hr and i am confused between apple watch, gear sport and ionic. My need is accuracy of steps, distance, speed and heart rate.Looks will be secondary
Which one u recommend?
Thanks. What is the most basic watch (polar, I guess) that can be paired with this for real-time viewing whilst swimming?
thanks for video! i just got my h10 yesterday and ill test it today=) cant wait
Hi, I have the polar H7 and I am thinking about upgrading to the polar H10. Do you think its really worth it? I mean, Is it actually better in terms of accuracy?
can you explain me that the calories these apps calculate seems not too accurate to me letsay ı do 95 mins interval cycling it says 1200 calories burn average hr 135 do you thınk thıs ıs possible??
Hello, please if somebody can reply to my question. I wear shirt size L, I see that size of the strap is maximum 93cm, when I measure my chest it is 94cm. So I’m bit confused how the size of the strap is rated M-XXL and I wear L and the size doesn’t match?
Thanks for the product review!
TWO QUESTIONS:
1) H10 and OH1 Plus.
Would you recommend buying both the H10 and OH1 or just one of them?
I am asking b/c I am unsure if the OH1 Plus would be more comfortable or easier to wear for weight lifting and Crossfit activities while the chest strap would do well for running and walking.
2) H10 and OH1 Data Feed Source.
What is your favorite data system or app to send your H10 or OH1 heart rate data to?
I am unsure if its better to compliment the devices with a Polar watch in order to track and analyze the data.
I personally want to be able to more accurately count my calories burned for weight lifting and cardio activities in order to tailor my nutritional intake for muscle gain with simultaneous fat loss.
Thanks from the UK for the great review, I have just ordered the H10 on Amazon.
H10 is actually slight improvement over H7. I didn’t manage to make the Gopro pairing work…
Hi, I’m wondering if you could recommend a affordable, quality Bluetooth watch that this would be compatible with? I’m currently using the polar beat app but I hate having to constantly open the app on my phone to check my HR. I’d rather check it with the flick of my wrist while working out. I’d rather get something less expensive than a polar watch as I already have a fitness tracker (Fitbit charge 2). Thanks!
Thanks man. It was exactly as I expected. One of these days optical heart monitoring will catch up to the reliability and accuracy of electrical chest straps, and possibly even surpass them with the adoption of red LED sensors which can even measure your hydration levels. Todays green optical sensors do fine for me in general because I’m an outdoor runner and cyclist, not much of a gym person but I do sometimes use my Wazoo (or is that Wahoo ) Tickr X which tends to be a lot less, er, optimistic in it’s readings and updates almost instantaneously.
Do you think that the OH1 would work well with P90X? My Vivoactive 3 is way off, and I’m trying to decide arm or chest to get a good idea of my hr during the workout. Thanks!
How accurate for the heart rate sensor in reporting calorie burn in a workout? I am really surprised that it shows I burned 550 calories in a 35 mins workout on a Arc Trainer.
They key is test these 2 with hiit and strength training. Then comeback and compare.
Does this device record heart rate data in real time? The reason I ask is that I want to use this device to monitor Bradycardia, or low heart rate, but need to have a record of the events.
Can you recommend one for me if all I need is a warning of my heart rate goes too high? Do I have to wear a watch as well? I just want to know what my heart rate is, very accurately as I exercise. I don’t need any other features. Tristan can you offer a recommendation? Maybe someone else knows of one?
Now that techy agent has done the review, I can finally purchase the polar OH1. I was eagerly waiting for this vid, thanks Eric!
Nice review!!! I’m almost getting a OH1 because of your tests.
The only missing points are the accuracy test during swimming and perhaps the standalone use of the OH1 without using a watch or phone.
Hi all. Please, allow me to ask…, what is the application we see on the phone of the guy in the gym, who tests the monitors?
Very good points! I have found the polar oh1 to be awesome! I had issues with the scosche rhythm plus and went through 2 of them in 2 months. I have had the polar oh1 for over 2 months, it is perfect for me. Chest straps are too uncomfortable for me.
