The Short Version
I’m a healthcare professional, elite martial artist and someone who has spent the majority of his life analyzing literature and research studies on fitness and nutrition.
A quick and accurate way of describing myself would be type A personality, perfectionist, competitive elite martial arts athlete, and a lot of pressure to excel at everything possible…
That recipe has ultimately allowed me to create this website to share my knowledge and experience with everyone.
A Passion for Fitness
I pretty much became obsessed with fitness upon entering my pharmacy career in 2008.
I began lifting weights and digesting every bit of information I could find on enhancing athletic performance, bodybuilding, nutrition and exercise.
Shortly after, my main interest became directed towards weight training. My goal was not to only build muscle, but to enhance my athletic abilities by developing my speed and strength to its fullest capacity.
I started reading books and analyzing scientific literature. Something that really surprised me was the amount of false information on fitness (otherwise known as broscience) that was poisoning the minds of the ignorant.
Through personal experience and research, I’ve found evidence that completely contradicts recommendations given by so-called fitness gurus and dietitians around the world.
The bottom line is that there is an immense amount of incompetence in the areas of fitness, nutrition, weight loss and weight training. I aspire to change that and this site is part of my mission.

As far as fitness is concerned, it is all about balance; fitness should be integrated into your lifestyle and enhance your living rather than consume it.
Interestingly enough, a simplistic approach to training, nutrition and essentially everything in life will allow you to attain much greater results than the conventional “sweat ’till you drop” approach.

The first step before anyone else in the world believes it is that YOU have to believe it. There’s no reason to have a plan B because it’s a distraction from plan A. Remember, he who says he can, and he who says he cannot are both correct.
Greatness is not a Godlike feature that only the special among us will ever taste. It is something that truly exists in all of us. If this is what you believe and you’re willing to die for it, then you will achieve greatness.
