Thank you so much for these easy yummy healthy recipes!! I tried the 1st two over the past weeks and I loved it. I’m trying the rice recipe tonight. Keep em coming
These look amazing! Always struggle to think of meat free meals, so will definitely be trying some of these x
I subbed bc this looked good then unsubbed when you didnt share the spice list
This has nothing to do with the recipe, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen wear anything but a crop-top not a mean comment at all just something I’ve noticed. But I guess so would too if I had your body hahah
Made this today (omitted jalapeños and cut down some of the chili powder). Amazing!
I was going to show this video to my mom for a chili recipe, but theres no way i can actually do that with your outfit. You’re barely even wearing a shirt, and your belly button ring is in like all the shots. You should think about your outfit being appropriate for all viewers, not just young people.
It is good to smash the garlic. It activates whatever tht stuff is.
Beautifully Spoken, delicious-looking dish, cute outfit, beautiful girl. Amazing hairdo
I’m not a great cook but this sounded both good and easy to make so I made it for me and my mom (who is not a vegan) and she not only said it was really good but she said I’d have to make it again!!! She’s never said that before about my cooking… Definitely a recipe for the books, so thank you!
Great video! I can tell I’ll be living off these all weekend. The cashew cream is a lot nicer with nutritional yeast it helps balance the flavours
The recipe links don’t work, anyone else have this issue? Could you update them? thanks, I really liked the video
Ughhhh…
Idk I hope this is a good one at work Friday for our “chillie cook off” lol
✌️
I just made this right now!! Super easy! I will update after we eat!
Girl I just found you’re channel and all I can say is wow! You’re dishes are amazing! You have so much “sazon” (flavor) to you’re dishes and i love it! Thanks for sharing you’re recipes with us!
I use a little less beans and throw 500gram tofu into the mix. ✌
I’m obsseded with your channel ❤️ ❤️ such great personality, so professional and amazing videos ❤️ you’re literally making me to try go vegan
I forgot I’m new to You Tube community and transitioning into Vegan add my channel please
Just found your channel and I love all your recipes thanks for the variety of vegetables because I love all vegetables but need a different recipe for them and you always come thru thanks
We didnt have bulger or masa but we did use a can of Great Value Organic lentils. It gives you that missing texture/bite you get from ground meat. Fantastic recipe though, it was a hit in my house.
Your are the first fitness youtuber that actually cook realistic meals for a family. your food is not simple and boring!
Please can you maybe a video about your clothes like your favourite shop? I love your style, always look amazing.
This looks prefect for a winter cold night here in Canada.:)
Hi Maddie,
I tried your recipe today and it turned out to be amazing. Super easy, quick and simple. I never knew my quinoa could take so much better
Delicious my favourite dishes are pots sandwiches and wrapsand well… All you cook!!
Made this tonight for dinner was such a huge hit! Thank you ✌
I’m not vegan, but these recipes are quite budget friendly and seem excellent so thank you for that! I love how you use a lot of ingredients that aren’t ”exotic”, cause these are much cheaper and easier to get a hold of.
The good thing abt being vegan is the hubby gets home cooked meals.
This looks yummy. What brand of vegan sour cream did you use?
I just have to say, I love you and your channel!!! Firstly, I tried veganuary a couple of years ago and found it quite hard so gave up, but over the last few years I’ve suffered with IBS and other health issues which have lead me back to looking at a plant based diet.
I’m starting with cutting out dairy but looking to soon cut out meat too.
I just love that you’re English (sometimes it’s hard with Americans using different foods etc!!) and living in London so it’s not always boiling hot and sunny .
These recipes have my mouth watering, and I’ve been watching all your vids about how to go vegan etc and everything is so helpful. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You’re wonderful!!! ❤️
Well done on creating a good, informative cooking-video, and putting it on YouTube for everyone to watch. All of the five meals that you prepared looked easy to cook, and they all looked like they would taste delicious too!
Great recipe! I also add 2tbs red miso, 1tsp. Organic cocoa powder, and 1-4 tsp smoked paprika. Sublime!
Ew. Vegan. Disgusting. Discrimination.
Edit: it takes pretty good
Hey Maddie and Kyle! I just made this for my parents, brother and I and I liked it so much! I’ve been watching your videos for quite a while and I just wanted to say that you guys seem to be very nice and a lot of fun. Hope you’re having a good time!
I finally did the Harissa paste dish and it was nice. I did put veg stock in and regret it. A bit too runny. Next time just tomatoes. I think I may have cooked it too long as well because it did taste nice but not banging nice. next time I will set the alarm. I am always overcooking. Rachel you mentioned the taste of chilies. Was that from the paste or did you put some chili peppers in? I will do it again though because the ingredients are the ones I usually buy with the exception of Aubergine. But when I see them in the reduced section at Tesco I will know what to cook.
I just made this and it is a HIT with the family. I did add a little garlic infused hot sauce when serving and it was perfect
I live being vegan because there’s so many opportunities of trying different foods that you try and Unix the taste and texture of actual meat. I have a YouTube channel that follows around reviews of vegan foods and my life
This looks so delicious! I’m definitely going to make some this weekend!
Hi Rachel I wanted to ask if you know of any really good recipes that do not contain tomatoes ☹️ I’ve just developed a allergy to tomatoes to the point it’s anaphylaxis. This is really hard for me as I honestly love tomatoes and I’m trying to find things without it.
I am turkish and we do make shakshuka as well. You do not need to use eggs. I never ate them with eggs, even before I went vegan. Some people put meat in it. But I always knew it as without anything animal. Was so happy, when I realized how much vegan food I already had in my life:D
Thoughts are energetic. Some are challenging to digest accept, forgive and give thanks to your body and its messengers. Allow these challenging energies to pass easily. Expect healing. Eliminate the oats and grains and enjoy greens and healing herbs.
Can I skip the sausages (they are way expensive where I buy them) or will that screw up the recipe?
love it man but well hold the garlic as it is medicine to us and would react with our meds other than that thnx a TONGB ya manI wonder if sweet beans would add a little sweet to this recipe sir with your permission let me BAM it up Northern Canadian style oh and a tbsp or Maple Syrop…I was a chef for over 50 yrs and my life has changed 100% because of the folks like you teaching an old codger tyty
Loved this video as always! But I’m an unrelated note, what are your hair details and how did you do the install? Crochet? Individuals? I really want to attempt this style.

Looks so yummy going to have to try this, look like a chilli
Thank you!!! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. 100% the best vegan meal I have made to date.
I had a coworker who’s mom was vegan and she said that she started taking Collagen peptides
And I said ” No kidding, it’s not vegan, it’s animal bone”
I just wanted to say thank you for the recipe, it made a great dinner for the family tonight! I made cornbread with it and no one knew the meal was vegan! Thanks for the video again, have a good one!
Can I just say you look great! This pasta is making me hungry btw.
I hated trying new recipes as a vegan but you, oh my gosh because of you I just want make everything. And no matter what other vegan channel I look at for recipes yours are always so simply and interesting. I think it’s just your energy in the kitchen. I just love you and your goofy personality so raw and real I reply appreciate that about you.
Omg Veggie Rose I made this and it tasted just like Wendy’s chilli! My carnivore step dad who eats pigfeet and all types of ham and such tasted it and said ” this is so so delicious! He ate three helpings! Lol thanks so much for this recipe! It is so good and filling…I forget it’s vegan! Lol loving it…new subscriber here!
Great recipe!
I just uploaded a chili recipe on my channel, check it out!:)
I’ve stopped eating plants, because I believe they suffer when they’re harvested. I’ve switched to a water and air diet only, supplemented with plants that have already died. Please consider stop killing the beautiful plants. They don’t deserve to die.
Steaming white rice under the chili with non dairy yogurt would be soooo good
Great recipe! Can’t wait to try and add this to my list! Thanks for sharing
This turned out amazing, though I modified it with oil, butter, cilantro, and more salt. And I added a can of El Pato instead of tomato sauce.
i want to watch this but the music is… so annoying i really cant
Apparently onions and garlic are major foods to avoid if you have IBS as they cause stomach upset. I know, I was very sad to hear as well but definitely noticed that it was true after reading
can i replace the quinoa with rice? and cook it the same way
Great recipe!
I just uploaded a chili recipe on my channel, check it out!:)
Made this earlier this week. Left out the lentils since I didn’t have any, used McCormick’s chili seasoning packet, and used some homemade vegan sausages. Turned out great!! Thanks for the super easy recipe:)
This recipe is fantastic, but you truly only need 1/8 cup chili powder, not 1/4 cup as that’s way too much. I’m from New Orleans, and we love spice, but everything in balance. Highly recommended!
Subscribed. It is great to see an older person doing vegan. Love it.
Your body is goallllls I cant wait to try this chili mañana looks so gooood!
Begining my vegan journey! Your recipes look so tasty, and easy! Thanks for making me feel a little more comfortable with my new decision of ditching all animal products:D. I’m clearly going to continue watching your awesome videos:)
I want more one pot recipes. I am a nursing student and i barely have time to cook.
Woah! I just found your channel and I already love it! Vegan AND sustainable!
Yummy. I’m gonna be starting my plant based lifestyle today..
The “mexican rice” is just like my mom’s “Spanish rice”.
Its a perfect dish for busy marthoners.
Put a match stick between your teeth to help from crying while chopping the onions!
I like my chili sorta soup like, like watery. Should I add more tomato sauce and maybe broth to thin it out?
Can someone please explain the vegetable stock amounts to me for the risotto? I don’t understand but it looks delicious!
Veggie Rose is the best!! I trust her recipes more as she makes from scratch mostly and just throws love into her cooking
My favorites you and the one pot wonders. Hey Rachel Ma love you.
I made the 1 pot Mediterranean style
1 pot dish. Nailed it!!! Love love love you!!
I love how energetic she is and that she’s not afraid to show/tell us what she did wrong while cooking this. It’s really fun to watch her! I’ll have to check out more of her stuff
Made this for my family and it was a home run!!! Thank you so much ❤️
Hey chuck first time viewer and just wondering were the refries beans canned refried or canned beans you refried? Nothing better than fresh out of the pot beans with a bit of fresh tomato, onion and jalapeno!!
“clearly, once again, rachel needs a bigger pot” hahaha, thats so me! every. single. fucking. time! 😉
I’m going to make this in my Crock-Pot. I’m bet it will be great.
My wife used to LOOOOOOVE A&W chili…. I will have to make this tomorrow!
Thanks!!!
This looks like the best vegetarian chili on YouTube! Thanks I’m going to try it tomorrow. What is the best non soy vegan granules?
Look up the gordan ramsey how to cut oinions video!!! he shows you how to cut itt without crying
Hey Rachel just discovered you in my search for plant-based food for my family, in my bid for us all to eat less meat. Kicked off with this recipe for a quick after school, sports and work week night dinner (or tea as we say up North) and it was quick, easy and DELICIOUS! A huge hit with my husband and 13 year old son.
Just used two types of beans and no lentils and there’s still two portions left, it’s so filling (this never happens!)
For a crunchy twist we’re going to try adding some tortilla chips to the top with cheese next time.
Can’t wait to try some of your other recipes.
Thanks for sharing keep up the good work
I had bought like 20 packs of the sausages when they were on markdown at the store long time ago as they have been sitting in my freezer for the longest time… I just couldn’t figure out what to use them with anymore! Once I found this video I could reunite with them and enjoy them again! Thank you (:
My cooker is broken. And so it my fridge freezer, I’ve been eating like shit for a couple of months and feel horrendous. Always used to make things like this just realised how much I missed it. I’m making a mushroom veg and ale pie for me for Christmas day at my mum’s tho and I can’t wait
Wow…glad I found you. I’m new to the lifestyle and your recipes are really helping out. Thank you.
Love it, will be making this later, I would love to have seen the finished cooked chilli in the pan:-)
I was an absolute carnivore till 3 days ago untill I learned about how posionous meat and dairy are, an the profit corporations are making off peoples death and world destruction it’s disgusting
I made the sweet potato and carrot thai soup yesterday and it was so GOOD!!!! I added extra spices and added some greens at the end before serving. thank you for the suggestion!! I’m going to make the mushroom risotto sometime this week:)
I made this tonight. Followed the recipe to the letter. I’m a beef in my chilli guy and for this being a a vegan hippie dish, this is a 8/10 for sure (I was very surprised).. Plenty of texture, plenty of heft, plenty of flavor. You really won’t even notice the bulgar in it, just a bit more texture but does nothing to the flavor. I did’t use the jalepeno’s but just a small squeeze of sriracha on my bowl cause my kid doens’t like spicy. It was VERY good. My thoughts. First, you won’t need the corn flour. It will be thick enough when you add the refried beans. I actually had to add about 3/4 cup more broth to thin it down a bit. Second, use ALL of the chilli powder. No joke. I don’t know if it’s the refried beans or what but this really needs that extra and doesn’t heat it up. Third, top with some fresh chopped onion and a dollop of sour cream. I make a very good from scratch chilli and this one is actually contest worthy. Also note if you don’t have the corn flour, you can take a handful of corn tortilla chips and spend a few minutes with a mortar and pestle and get the same effect. Just grind till it’s a fine powerder. I used the ground tortilla chips as a topping with the onions and it was spot on. Great recipe, easy to make, and very tasty. Yeah food!! P.S. You could add a small can of green chillis to this, or even a half can of corn. Use your imagination. It will take all of what you want to give it. As a matter of fact, because you can add to it without taking anything away from the recipe, i’m chaning my rating to a 9/10. Your tummy will be happy.
First time seeing you, this looks colorful and nutritious. You’re beautiful, thank you for sharing. God bless you.
I’ve noticed after a few recipes now that you haven’t used tofu or soy, or at least not that I’ve seen yet. Just wondering if there’s a reason:)
In my opinion some soft or medium tofu would have been perfect for the eggs instead of the cashew mix, but it still looks so tasty!
I love how you do make Caribbean African versions. I’ve tried your dishes always turn out tasty and flavoursome. Not a vegan but I like to use vegetables in a creative way
Can someone explain nutritional yeast? Where to buy, why it’s added etc
I made this meal today (4/7/2020) because of the colorful favors and I wanted to try something new. Well, OMG!!!!!! It was so good. I cut up an avocado to place on bottom of my bowl and cashew nuts cheese on top. My 17 year old isn’t vegan but he cleaned his entire plate. The flavors were bold and hearty. What a great combination. Thank you for sharing this dish. I wasn’t even hungry and didn’t need to eat anything but oh my. The sauce was what really set this off. Thank you again.
I’m not a vegan or vegetarian but I wouldn’t hesitate to try and make this for my husband and I one night:)
I made it and absolutely loved Shakshuka. forgot to soak the nuts but the dip was amazing. I made a meat one for my family but next time I will only do a vegan one. Want to send you a picture
This is so delicious! I split the recipe into two parts and used TVP instead of quinoa for the other half, and it was sooo good!
Made this today, but added chao tomato cayenne cheese and it tastes amazing!!!! Awesome job!!!
I’m making this right now, I hope I don’t make a flop #prayforme
I just tried this and it’s amazing!! Thank you so much for the amazing recipe, I just adjusted the spice level and amazing!
The first recipe would be amazing the next day cold in a wrap with lettuce and cucumber for crunch.
This recipe reminds me of the Vegan Spicy Black Bean and Quinoa Chili from Souplantation, which I thought was so delicious that I decided that I would attempt to find an oil-free version of the recipe. Then, with no intention of finding it, Maddie uploads another amazing video for almost exactly what I was looking for! When I make this recipe, I will most likely tweak it a bit. Thank you Maddie for the great content and daily vlogs! ❤️
Thank you so much! This looks so yummy I’m going to try and make it right now ❤️
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS
I got a little boujee and put this on chia pasta, and omg was it absolutely fabulous
If i dont have a vegetable stock cube can I use the vegetable water
Also if I dont have pak Choi or bok choi can I use anything else cus the big heb that has that is far away
Today, I made quinoa with sauteed onions, squash and small sweet peppers with spinach. It was a hit with family. Thanks for the ideas.
I made this at a chili cook off at work and won 1st place. vegan chili won, couldn’t believe it. Look out meat lovers here we come!!
I’ve just made this for the second time, this time using Textured Vegetable Protein for the “meaty” texture. It’s so delicious! Here’s the most impressive thing it’s one of the only (non-baking/pastry) recipes I’ve ever followed that is perfectly seasoned as written. That’s AMAZING. I’m a confident cook, and I like things well seasoned, so I always add and fiddle until the flavor is where I want it… but, this, I didn’t have to at all. Well done, Chuck!
I’m definitely making this. I loooooooove Mexican food and have little vegan style. Love the hair!
I can see that the food is absolutely delicious. Fresh coriander & avo to top it off:D
If you put the onion in the freezer for 10 minutes or so it shouldn’t cause tears. Love your recipes thank you.
Awesome video of course
May I list some recipes:Vegan
Stromboli
Vegan Meatball sandwich
Vegan Quesadilla
Vegan peach cobbler with vegan vanilla ice cream omg
Vegan enchiladas
I already made something similar to this and it was very tasty but this ones looks even better!!! especially with the jalapenos:) Thanks Maddie:)
I made this chili with vegan cornbread on the side. We loved it! Just made it for the first time.
But I had to make my own seasoning because I forgot to get a packet from the store lol
Thanks❣
The corn would give it away straight away is being vegan because corn is always in vegan chili and not in regular. Also organic is not vegan.
I’m disappointed how little garlic you used, I used a whole bulb haha!
I made this and oh my goddddd new staple dinner!!! It’s freaking delicious!!
I finally found a delicious chili! Made two other recipes before this one, yours is the best! Thank you!!!
Awesome and easy recipe, just wish i wouldve watched this BEFORE i went to the store cuz i dont have the veggie broth or the canned diced tomatoes .
Also, u definitely shop at Aldis dont u?! Haha, i recognize the brand of beans and the pepper cracker cuz i use the same ones from Aldis .
Great video. I’m glad I subscribed! I’ll be doing this tomorrow after work:) I know the point of the dish is Mexican, but I think I’ll sneak in some edamames hehe
You mentioned tamales in one of your videos. Would love to see your vegan version. I’m Mexican and my mother made the traditional ones with lard and pork but looking for a healthier recipe.
This is the feakin best vegan chilli. I have added ancho chillies and it takes it to another level too.
I love this! But could you make a meal prep video? I always get home so late that its hard to cook
/make wise food choices.
I wanted to do some recipes for the students out there that have messaged me about doing easy recipes with minimal equipment so ONE POT PASTA it is! Not just a basic one, an epic one hope this recipe serves you guys vegan comfort food dreams. Depending on your pot and how nonstick it is, you may need to stir every few minutes. I stired twice and was fine but just keep an eye on it xxxxxx
Looks good, but when I make Chile, I use WAY more spices, garlic, and peppers. This looks like it might be a little bland. But everyone had different tolerances for spice and heat.
Yes! I was just thinking I need to make some vegan chili for this Chicago weather (which I love).
Gurlllllllllll!!!! I’m drooling!! I’m gonna try this.
New sub! So glad I found your channel. This looks amazing!! Thanks for sharing!
Off topic…
Are there any vegan disclosing solutions on the market?? I brush and oil pull after every meal and snacks but recently had a horrid 11cavity dentist appointment! I want to retrain myself on proper brushing but I know food coloring has crushed bugs
This looks so good! I might make this on Christmas Eve! I bet vegan sour cream would be really yummy to top this off too. I’ve made a cashew based one that was delicious on chili.
I really enjoyed this video; it was relaxed and easy to watch. I’ve been considering a change in my diet lately, and have been looking at a lot of vegetarian and vegan meals (via video), and this is 1 of only a few that I’ve enjoyed, and really excited to try some of these recipes thank-you
Dear Rachel, thank you for your video’s. You have changed our lifes. I am defintely going to order your cookbook to:) But I have a question. I have been making quite some of your recipes…..but since me and my husband are first time mommy and daddy, we are still figuring out how to live normal with a baby (5 months old). Me and my baby’s health are very vulnerable. As a family we eat very healthy and I breastfeed my baby to give him best possible health. I found that when making your recipies, I extremely simplify them, because I still find them a hassle in our situation. I leave out half of the ingredients, or leave out a lot of proceedings. It becomes more like ‘Rachel Ama inspired’ food. But so so soooo delicious, OMG (or OMD:P). Are you interested in making recipes for people in my sort of situation? People who actually do not have time, because they are going through extreme rough periode in their lives. (children, healthcare, going through painful grief situations, etc.) When you think you are making something simple, then simplify it waaaaay more, and leave out more proceedings (like not putting in oven after cooking on stove for instance). Your food is so good, that it still tastes amazing doing that, I swear, we always cook your food like that and always amazing. I am just suggesting, do whatever you want. I can understand it might not fit you, love you anyhow:D Anyways I keep following your recipes and simplifying them and we love it:D
Where did you get the orange dish that you baked the shakshuka in?! I see it in your videos all the time and I love it!
You don’t use oil but used 4 types of canned beans and canned tomatoes which contain preservatives and hormone disrupters…
I’m not vegan, but I am vegetarian so when i make vegan recipes I use the dairy alternative
Maddie, this was a nice tutorial. You’d make a good wife. Just now subscribed to your channel. Greetings from Israel.
Love the recipes, love the fun personality and absolutely gorgeous as well. Got it going on! Thanks for all the recipes, love them!
Wow…looks so good! I like prepping 1 pot meals for breakfast since I don’t like oatmeal except for in baked goods. (what kind of a vegan am I?.lol).
Hi I am not a vegan but I would definitely eat that yummy delicious food
I think vegans should really start thinking about eliminating salt from our diet. Salt is a concetratd mineral and it’s not plant-based. Please consider abandoning salt from your diet. It does suffer when it is harvested.
Looks like taco chilli should be part of the name cause thats what it looks like
Does anyone know how long the nexcisn rice would need to cook of I used an instant pot?
Made this this evening and it was so good. A new one to add to my favourites. Thank you x
I have been advised not to eat tomatoes oats peppers bread. Do make sure you soak dried beans well and also soak your lentils and rinse well. They say no need to soak but please do.
Love your channel. Do you have a recipe for vegan butter? Thanks!❤❤
I haven’t tried the chili with the field roast sausage…neat idea. Thanks Nikki and please keep the videos coming. Btw…love the dark hair.
Beautiful. You are so adorable. The excitement you bring to vegan dishes is very helpful to someone like me who decided for health reasons to go vegan about 5 months ago. Thanks for your enthusiasm and creativity.
I made the first dish tonight for the family and OMG it was absolutely delicious!!!! Thank you!!!!
You didnt wash your quinoa. Quinoa needs to be washed atleast couple times or else it will be bitter!!
I’d make this for sure, but I’d use another sweetener besides agave.
Oh man! I wish smell-o-vision was a thing . Looks soooo goooood!!!! I LOVE black beans!
Love your easy recipes. Cheap and affordable for college students
Someone watching this can recommend what to substitute mushroom with in this recipes?
Really good and simple toutorial. My only suggestion as a chef would be to toast off your spices withthe onions and capsicum
Made this for supper, thinking I would have leftovers for the week. I served it over baked potatoes and my carnivore boys ate it up. Nobody noticed there was no meat. Thanks, Chuck! This one was a hit in my house!
Just had the first recipe for dinner and my husband and I loved it!!! He had his over brown rice. Some avocado on top was just right! Can’t wait to try the rest!
thank so much for this video…i have made the sweet Thai soup a few times and just now I tried making the stir fry noodles…they are sooooo tasty!!! thanks again
Not sure if you’ll still be answering comments on this video but worth a shot! I was just wondering where you manage to find black beans in the UK? I’ve been searching high & low & haven’t found them in any of the supermarkets, not even lidl’s!
I like the recipe, but i wish i wasnt distracted by looking at your belly button ring. It seems like your belly button shouldnt have spotlight over your cooking.
That looks delish! I’m going to make it next week and update you
How ironic that I made that exact same dish tonite so good on top of rice
I have tried the noodle stir fry today and it’s soooo good thank you <3
as soon as the video started my first thought was “wow she’s so pretty!”
I’m from New Mexico so I’m pretty picky about my chili. This looks soo good though.
Currently transitioning to a plant based lifestyle so I am definitely excited to try this
I can’t wait to try these recipes!!! Thank you so much for sharing. They look so tasty and filling!
Thank you for the food inspiration! I made the risotto with a few extra ingredients like white wine and Violife white block cheese, it was soooo tasty!
When you say a can of tomato sauce, do you mean tomato paste? Never seen anything other than paste sold in 8oz cans
yess please i have just moved into my accommodation and would love some vegan meals ❤️❤️❤️ thanks for posting this xx
Looks tasty I’m going to make this I’ll let u know how it turns out
I know this is about one pot chili, but i have to say you are gorgeous!
I have a bichon frise to lol, I did this recipie in a pressure cooker, it was so nice thanks.
The peel of garlic is actually healthy and can easily be incorporated in stews, etc. so you might want to keep it in chili. Also onion skins are healthy and they might also work. Might be worth a try to add nutritional value to the chili.
i recommend this recipe to everyone thats watching its really good and easy to make + cheap and very delicious if u havent tried it try it you wont be dissapointed 10/10 very good:)
Can you double the ingredients for a fam of 8? And can you add cheese?
Do you have vegan crockpot meals? It’s convenient for a college working girl
Delicious my favorite chili to date.. A definite “must try”
if you’re on a rush (e.g. school camp) what’s the quickest time that the chili will be ready by? also is the cooking time just so it thickens? thanks xx
I took inspiration from your garlic peeling. I didn’t like using my hand to smash, ouch, so I repurposed my meat tenderizer mallet thing, and gave it a good whack. Worked beautifully. Thank you so much for teaching your technique.
Those sausages are the most absolutely putrid thing I’ve ever tried.
I love making and eating chili, but using TVP is my favourite!:D although this recipe looks awesomely tasty too!
I…cant…tell…which…is..more…delicious. You…or…vegan..food. said in struggling stuttering voice
I am italian and I laughed a lot when you apologized to italian people keep going Rachel! I really love your channel and your recipes. ♥️
Don’t bother taking the skin off sweet potato. Just give them a wash with a scourer.
Looks delish.
the salt content looks high though.
#1 risk factor for death world wide is high blood pressure
been vegan 6 weeks and god damn you ain’t lying!! this is the best god damn chilli i have ever had my whole god damn life!!! yeeeeehaaaaaaa!!! thanks from the UK!!
Anyone else LOL when he said “boorrrinng” so fun to watch. Lots of little laughs. I can’t wait to try this recipe.
Food looks delicious but the music in this video is atrocious
Cut the top of your onion off but keep the root on and the onion will hold together while chopping it
I tried this two days ago, for dinner…here I am now having it for lunch, and I still have some for this evening too!!! Soo sooo yummylicious!! It’s sooo filling, full of nutriients, and Oh God the taste!!!!♥….thank you so much!!
I am not vegan yet, because my parents don’t want it. BUT I am searching for something easy to cook so I can cook at home and they can’t say anything so thank you very much
I can’t wait to try these! They’ll look delicious! I’ve never thought to do spaghetti without chopped tomatoes so that’ll be good!
I know you said the black beans were cooked. I was wondering if the kidney beans should be rinsed if they’re from the can.
I have almost the same chili recipe! I don’t add the can of pinto beans and I add a pinch of cayenne pepper. Either way you cook it, it is GOOD!! I also cook mine in a Instant Pot, start to finish is about 45 minutes.
Love your recipes!
Our nature garden version https://youtu.be/QgpIULtqcF4
i remember seeing this forever ago on pinterest some nice lady posted it im glad its getting attention xoxo
I love to see you cook you make everything look so tasty newly vegan learning my way in the kitchen ♥️
Refried bean are made with lard aren’t they? Maybe that’s just in a different state
This was SO GOOD! also very easy to make. One thing I would change is adding 1 cup instead of half a cup of water. Also adding oysters crackers took it from a 8 to a 10. Also the sausage substitute is good but not necessary if you’re trying to stay a way from vegan meats, I’ve had it both ways and it was delicious both way, without the sausage this is easily under 10 dollars. I LOVE THIS RECIPE!!
Hey Maddie! I was wondering if you guys ever make savory oats and how you like them? ❤️
Thank you so much! I’ve recently transitioned over to the Vegan life and Homemade Chili is one of my favorite dishes! I’ll definitely be trying your recipe
I made this last night and it was delicious! A big hit with my boyfriend and I.
Made this tonight, it was delicious and my whole family loved it! I couldn’t find bulgar so I subbed kamut wheat and it turned out awesome!! Thank you
Can I omit the refried beans? If not what can I substitute with?
im never going vegan but im trying to inform myself for my friends who are and I love this so much!! thank you!! Madeleine!!
Thanks so much for this. I made a version of this today and used brown rice instead of the quinoa. My kids loved it! I even stuff a sweet potatoe with the chili. I’ve been vegetarian for two years and my goal was to become vegan. Thanks to channels like this there is no shortage recipes and information for me and my kids to eat the best we can. Thanks
Get some onion goggles on amazon, I did a while ago and they really work
I truly did not believe this recipe would be flavorful but OMG was I wrong! Even my meat eating wife LOVED it! VEGGIE ROSE YOU ROCK! This recipe was fast and easy, it was delicious before I let it cook for 2 hours! Thank you so much! Gotta go eat some more chili!
I watch your videos all the time. One day i will make one of the recipes
I’m gonna make that chilli dish later today but use quinoa instead. Otherwise I might make the spaghetti dish but use barley instead, I’ve a lot of carbohydrate foods in my cupboard that need using up! D
This is so awesome. I’ve made this chili and it’s delicious. Plus, the southern accent chef cooking vegan recipes is just classic.
Lots of love from India..
Mexican cooking and Indian cooking is very similar.. we have an identical dish in India that has existed way before chilli beans..
It’s called “Rajma Curry” (Bean Curry)
we use the same spices in that dishChilli Powder, Cinnamon, Cumin and we also add more spices on top of that such as Coriander Powder, Fenugreek Power, Clinatro, Yoghurt.. and more..
I love the idea of these meals, but only the last had enough protein:( others I’d have to add something to these. They all look really tasty tho!!!
I love your cook! Kiss from france
Sorry for my bad english. Kiss
Yes i might add some cashew sour cream…a brother been craving some vegan chili
If your IBS hasn’t already let up try replacing nutritional yeast with something else in your diet
I make this constantly when I’m busy and my husband needs to eat. It’s ALWAYS in the fridge lol. Also, your body is just amazing.
Just made this. Wow! SO delicious my whole family enjoyed it!
Do you have any estimates on nutrition? Protein, carbs, calories and such
I feel like most vegan recipes have NO flavor in them but these look so rich I love it
On The Vegan Dish, we also made vegan chili! Check it out here! https://youtu.be/YJUHECS4qds
going to try this tonight. Looks delicious! new subscriber here.
You are absolutely beautiful!! And let me just say, I made the one pot Mexican rice and I LOVEEEEE IT!! It came out so yummy thank you so much! ❤️
Hey Rachel, I’m new to plant based. So thank you for this great idea! Your husband is a lucky man.
I was looking for something I could make with the ingredients I have here (the market is closed) and I don’t even have half of it. BUT NOW I WANT THIS CHILI SO BAAAD!
6:00 it gets even better if you roast the pine nuts first. You don’t need oil for this, just get a pan and let them get brown. I often make a similar dish and you absolutely have to roast them. It’s so good.
This looks delicious! I might make this tomorrow. Do you have any recipes for a vegan corn bread? I think that would pair really well with this dish.
very nice easy recipes. I am Italian and the risotto you did is as I would do it:) cooking doesn’t need to be complicated. the easy things are the best. Thanks for the video!!
As a uni student with exams coming up this will be a great thing to meal prep, thanks!
That chili sounds amazing! Now I really need some chili! Or a hearty soup!
Thank you so much for this…saw it months ago but going to finally try it today. I was tempted to use some Beyond Meat ground but decided to buy some bulgar and try it true to your recipe first. A few questions…1. any particular brand of chili powder? 2. you mention using vegetable broth instead of oil do you never use ol in your pan fry/saute recipes? Do you have a video on this? I have been using algae oil in a spray bottle for most of my pan cooking but will try veg broth…so much less calories! 3.Are you using medium or medium high heat throughout the cooking? for the simmer I assume you reduce heat, right? 4. If I were to try mixing in a scotch bonnet hot sauce, should I halve the chili powder amount or reduce it? Not going to try that this batch though…Thanks!, and sorry if I’m repeating previous questions. I’ve been lacto-vegetarian now for 23 years. I’ve always eaten a lot of veggie meats.
Can you put the recipe in the description? just easier when I come to make it
I believe you and it looks delicious but you lost count at 4 or 5? Lol you got a new subscriber at, “we don’t use oil”. Only healthy vegan cooking, or whole food plant based cooking. Thank you
made that stir fry and honestly i’ve never made something THAT good myself. absolutely heavenly!!!
Hi there! You mentioned the list of spices are in the comments. I couldn’t find it. Can you please relist them or let me know how to find them? Sorry, new to this:)
Looks good…minus the corn. I usually use tvp but I’m gonna give this a try.
Low fat and low sodium diet are absolutely detrimental to your health. You need to learn to include good fats in your diet and truth about sodium. Regular salt is bad for our health. However salt found naturally in foods and nutritional sources is good for us. I am going to make this recipe. Thank you. I am also going to include fat in my recipe and salt.
Just found your page, looking for something different and OMGoodness I made it tonight for dinner and AMAZING!!!
One year later, and I’m very excited to try some of these soonespecially that lemon and tomato spaghetti!!!
Hello Rachel, what is an alternative if you do not have the harissa paste or eggplant? Could I use potatoes instead of the eggplant? What another seasoning could I use if my local store doesn’t have the harissa paste.
Tried this 2 nights ago…REALLY excellent! I added smoked paprika and it helped even more…it came out nice and thick, probably due to the refried beans! So glad I tried it…I didn’t use the bulgur but might try that next time! THANK YOU!
That chili almost looks as good as you do! Gotta try this!!!
A tip is to throw in some lentils, chickpeas or tofu in these recipes. They seem really tasty and yummy, but they also lack a lot of much needed protein.
Just a friendly heads up for someone just starting veganism.
Yes pls make more meals you can freeze and eat later!! College student here
HELP!
Does anyone know if she cooked the beans first? I see they’re wet but that could mean they were canned… Any thoughts?
Nikki, Did you make that macrame window covering? I love it and if you could share how you made it or where you bought it I would really appreciate it! Your chili looks amazing… will have to give it a go! Thanks!
I made rice and bean burritos using your chili as the beans, with quacamole. You can pat yourself on the back, they were delicious!!! Thank you. I have subscribed with notifications.
Where I live there are virtually no vegan choices when eating out, so I have to make all my own food. This video made my whole day! I’m so excited! These recipes look amazing and delicious! Thank you so much for sharing!!
I love your pot so cute and has wooden handles. Simple and easy recipe
This is my boyfriends favorite and he is not vegan! I bypass the masa and bulger. Instead of jalapeños I added green chili’s (it’s what I had). Best chili ever!
Which kind of chili powder do you use in the video? The one I have from supermarket just says chili powder but its more red than the one in the video, doing this recipe I put half than you said and its impossible to eat because its too hot
Going to a Potluck and a coworker of mine is Vegan. Out of respect for her I’ve decided to make your Vegan Chili Recipe! Can’t wait to try it
I just made the Mexican rice recipe and it was SO GOOD!!
10/10 loved it!! <3
Thank you for the awesome recipe!
I didn’t have any caned diced tomatoes so I used fresh ones out of the garden and sauteed them with my onions, peppers, and garlic.
I used a whole can of refried beans.
And I didn’t have any of the fancy thicker you used, so I used the good old corn starch trick.
I also used garbanzo beans instead of kidney beans.
It was fabulous! Had it with vegan cornbread muffins.
Thank you!
This looks so good! I’m having breakfast right now but I really want to eat chilli now xD I am surely going to do the soup today, i LOVE soup ^^
Very delicious quinoa chili recipe! Love the combination of the ingredients in this food. Nice recipe and the presentation!:)
Delicious looking recipes, as always! I hope its not too weird to say but I am always so envious of your décolletage. Those collarbone! I must store fat in my upper chest area because mine barely show at all ☹
Where do you get your vegan cheese from? I can never find a good one
You damn vegan’s gotta go ruin EVERYTHING…UNAMERICAN FUCKS
I am making this for dinner tonight but had to swap field roast sausages for tofurky. I guess it’s fine because I never ate sausage before being a vegan so I won’t even have anything to compare them too hahaha! Great recipe I love your channel and The Vegan View!
Love this recipe!! I was just asking my mom if she can make me a quinoa with black beans as a chili! Thats crazy haha cant wait to try this
I’m gonna try browning the onions and peppers in veg broth first. good idea, thanks.
Only recently found your videos and absolutely love your meal ideas! I cook the same way as you do, just bung it all in and keep stirring it till it’s done
Can’t wait to try all of these recipes!! Thanks for sharing x
i made this today without the quinoa and it was deicious!!!!
Ok Rachel, I need you to come out with a cook book!♀️
So I’m not vegan, but this came across my feed and I clicked because it looked fantastic. I’m so happy I’ll be able to incorporate more fresh ingredients and veggie based meals into my diet. Also could the soup be made with butternut squash instead of sweet potato?
absolutely fantastic chili! I didn’t put as much chili powder, but added some sriracha to it at the end and wow! thank you for this recipe!
I noticed that you are using a microphone now these recipes look amazing! You just inspired me to get my butt in the kitchen
I have two Tofurkey sausages left in my fridge, perfect way to use them up. Shared on Twitter
that looks delicious. U kinda sound Jamaican when u said likkl bit
Looks great! It’s rainy in the DMV so this would be perfect today
I know this video was uploaded 2 years ago but I would just like to say that I made the quinoa chili recipe and it’s amazing. Thank you ❤️
YUMMY! So good that my husband woke up and ate leftovers for breakfast! Easy to make, quick and delicious. If meat eaters are in your family, separate out their part and add ground turkey to theirs.
These recipes look amazing! I suggest using brown rice instead of white rice, for better nutrition and flavor.
If I make this chili will I get abs like you? lol!! Girl you look amazeballs!!
This looks super delicious!!! Making my grocery list now. Can’t wait to try it!
I dont understand the use of the cups when you are not measuring, you are wasting food
Being from Texas I love some chilli I look forward to trying this.
Thank you this was delicious! Threw in some vegan chorizo tofu crumbles: https://itdoesnttastelikechicken.com/vegan-chorizo-tofu-crumbles/ Yummyyyyy
Please do more easy, one pot vegan recipes! I’m a student and I looove these. Thank you for this recipe Rachel!:)
Maddie I bet this would be great as a filling in soft shell tortilla/burrito, lay them in a pan, cover with a tomatoe type sauce or vegan cheese sauce and bake.? What do you think? I’m definitley going to try your recipe!
I adore the looks of that chilli! Definitely going to try this at home! Thank you so much for the inspiration, You’ve made my vegan journey so much easier!
Recipe looks amazing. Excited to try. What is the brand of pans you use in your videos? Where can I purchase? Thks
Haven’t tried vegan sausages in chili yet. Thanks for the tip! Typically add potato to thicken it up and also garnish with vegan sour cream. Yum.
This recipe is seriously DELICIOUS! My husband and kids loved it…and we’re talking a 2 year old and a 4 year old so that says something. Super excited to try some more of your recipes! And you look amazing! Thank you!
Those vegan grounds, 5 minutes in the oven and then sprinkled on top (after food is dished up), for added crunch, for when your cooking an “easy, but not quite so easy vegan chilli” . P.s. if you add baked beans, that’s haricot beans, tomato sauce and salt, 3 ingredients in 1 tin, if you wanted to make “even easier than easy vegan chilli” .
Awesome video Maddie…I love me a little 1pot wonder. I make your Dahl all the time but was wondering if you could do a little vid on more curries (indian preferably) if you can. Keep up the awesome work xx
PS I love your ebook.
i cant read the ingredients several times. pls overthink the color white
I need to start by saying that a very large pot is definitely needed. I knew Rose’s pot is a little larger than mine but I literally had to cook the vegan crumble on the side and add it in once I stored it to refrigerate my over size stainless steel bowl. Lol. Needless to say, this chili was INCREDIBLE. My son has been very particular since he decided to go vegan with me but this chili??? He goes back for seconds and thirds. Rose, you really outdid yourself.
How does she get her tomato in the consistency around 3:05? When I chop tomatoes they are just oozing thin tomato juice like water.
Looks amazing! I make a 3 bean chili as well! I add either sweet potato or butternut squash to mine though and the base is a homemade enchilada sauce. I don’t often eat faux meats but if I were I would have probably added veggie ground round. The sausage is such a good idea though. Wouldn’t have thought of using that! Definitely giving it a try!
I’m not sure where you’re from, but I’ve started watching your videos and noticed your use of red onion, peppers, and coriander. I’m Dominican and that’s the base of flavor for so many of our dishes. I’m starting my slow journey to becoming ideally becoming vegan; currently vegetarian with some seafood, and your dishes really look amazing. So often veggie dishes can seem so bland. Thanks for your tips and recipes!
I have a vegan blog if anyone watching would like to check it out! Love your channel! Here is the link- https://mysocalledveganlifecom.wordpress.com/2018/01/27/vegan-banana-chocolate-chip-muffins/
Looks so yumm! ALSO love your makeup in this video! Tutorial please!!
Please present a proper list of the ingredients. A simple bullet-point list in the comments should be fine. I’ve never heard of “bulgur” or “masa harina” (can’t find them on Amazon and certainly regular stores would not have them). Can’t wait to try it!
I made this for dinner. I added Impossible “meat” to it and oh my gosh, it was so good! Thank you for sharing!
Slow it down abit please, I like his Pacman t-shirt haha love the crunchy sounds and damn that’s wayy too much chilli! Jesus
Just started vegan 2 week ago after game changer on netflix im a bodybuilder and you have good quick protein receipe. Mine i add more vegan protein but still pretty good thank for your help
This is cooking on my stove top right now. Dinner request for tonight. Can’t wait to eat it with some cornbread…. Yum! Thanks for another delicious recipe.
To be honest that amount of Chili Powder makes me nervous. Is it extremely spicy? I don’t want to end up with a meal I can’t eat.
Super excited! I am transitioning into a vegan lifestyle and one of my fav meals in life is chili so I can’t wait to try this out.
I’m thinking of adding a wee bit of chopped celery to the initial saute of onion and pepper…..
I made this last week and it was ABSOLUTELY BANGIN. Already want to make it again. Thank you!!!
Omg I’ve always wondered how to make quinoa in a way that is not so dry. Thank you!!! Definitely trying these recipes
I made the Thai sweet potato and carrot soup when I first saw this video and I’ve been making it ever since. It’s AMAZING
New subscriber! I fell inlove with you so pretty sweet pretty & know how to cook marry me lol
Love Alex doing the tastingsput more of him in your videos! Recipes all look yum
Rose !! This looks incredible as always! Chili was something that I really liked before becoming vegan, along with broccoli cheddar soup so yummy !!! I need to recreate my own vegan version!! Anyway, love you and your video as always I’m so happy to see the #veggierosefam grow #teamveggierose #myveganplantpoweredhero
I just had to watch a beef jerky ad before the video. YouTube really should sort out their ad placement
Wow I can only imagine how much aroma fills up the area. Now I only need some cornbread and a couch afterwards. Great stuff!!!
Thank you for a delicious looking and healthy meal, until you added the agave nectar…
Agave nectar has 55% more fructose than HFCS…Fructose goes straight to your liver where it is stored as fat….Heard of fatty liver???
Exchange for pure STEVIA for sweetness…Keep up the good work…
That first recipe is just…Made double of it, as if my intuition said “You will not get enough of this”
Just made this today AMAZING!! Can’t Thank You enough for helping us all stay healthy with old favorites transformed. I think I might eat it again tomorrow with Lentil spaghetti or Rice noodles, definitely a one meal day. Whew it’s so filling and delicious that it checks off a few of those “craving” boxes.
I could not download this video to take it home with me. there is something wrong with the code….
Rachel!! do I love your recipes but this one here I’m not too crazy about because of the fact that you are supposed to rinse off the Pasta it’s like all the s starch being left in today into the food
Refried beans are usually made w animal fat did you refry them yourself? Thanks
Thank you for sharing your recipe. I followed your recipe with a few minor adjustments and my chilli was amazing!!!
I haven’t tried vegan sausages yet. Thanks for the recommendations!
I run my face near the cold pipethat’s why I use red onions
wow I am planning on going vegan very soon. so excited about it & you have some amazing recipes
I made the quinoa chili and LOVED IT but added 8oz crumbled tempeh to it. My chili has 94g of protein in it in total!!!! Crazy tastes so good my family loved it
I definitely want to try and make all of thesethanks for the video!
i reakon cashew cheese on top would be nice if people are not a fan of vegan cheese.:) i want to try this recipe looks yum!
“I recommend this guide:
phip.best/vegan/Pdb
So grateful it exists in 2020.”
I really liked this video! I’d love to see more videos like thisthey are just so easy and doable for evryone! It’s so easier to eat vegan and healthy when the recipes are simple, with ingriedients everyone has in their pantry. Also, can you please film an arm workout video?
I just stumbled across your channel…where have I been?? Living under a rock apparently, lol. This is the second video I’ve watched and already saved them both! My mouth is literally watering. This recipe is right up my hubby and I’s alley, we love one pot, comfort meals!! Looking forward to having a Rachel Ama marathon while my little one naps.
Not vegan, but they all got my mouth watering. So I’m gonna be trying all of them out this wk seeing as I have all the ingredients stocked (except for veggie stock and nutritional yeast) tnx for the inspiration 10/10!
Mary’s Test Kitchen has a microwave shakshuka recipe that uses soft tofu for the egg portion; I bet that would be really good in this sauce!
How many servings does this make i have a family of four? 2 adults, 2 children?
I see our video of chilli is very similar yet a totally different recipe. Thanks for sharing this video I’m glad I stumbled upon it and it is one we’re going to have to try! Is this your own recipe I’d love to know how you came up with it.
They all look SO good but the spaghetti is one I’ll be trying this week. Thanks for sharing!
Ahh I made this last night and it was delicious! A huge batch as well, got 2 in the freezer and another in the fridge for later in the week and that was after me and my fiance had a large portion each! Thank youuuu
they all look so good. I am not a fan of soup either but may try it sometime. My daughter and her family are also vegatarian. We plan to get together to cook sometime so I am thinking we will try 4 out of 5 of these, not so much the soup. I can’t wait. Looking yummy. I love your recipes because they are easy and not expensive and tasty. Thank you
This chili was VERY GOOD!! Thanks for sharing kind Sir. I enjoyed the the vid too, it’s straight to the point and super chill as well.✌
Chili powder can be dramatically different from brand to brand….what brand do you use?
i made everything except the soup and made it all vegan, my husband and I loved everything. making a slow change into a vegan lifestyle.
im pregnant and looking for yummy, healthy and easy meals to make for my future family that i can cook up in a minute and these are all perfect xo
This chili turned out really good! New vegan here so this recipe showed me there are delicious vegan food options! Thanks
Girl, this video is on time for this Sunday. How about a vegan Sunday roast video☺️
Cashew makes a great alfredo sauce:
Soak cashew nuts overnight or boil til soft with 2 gloves of garlic.
Blend with garlic cashew, nutritional yeast, seamoss( optional), lemon, salt, Italian seasoning, almond milk, salt.
Hmmm good
Yeeey, love these quick one pot recipesI’m a busy student so I love quick, easy &delicious recipesthank you, Maddie❤️
Hellooo, I loved the songs used in this video. I would really appreciate if you could list the songs for me (and those secretly wondering). Thanks and much love!!!

Your man looked so much better with short hair. He should keep it like that.
This looks DELISCIOUS!! But, can you add the cheese and put it back on the stove to melt it? I don’t like putting on the whole oven for just one pot food that is already cooked. Environmental reasons, and laziness, haha… Maybe on the stove with a lid and it will melt anyway?
Do you mean cilantro in US terms for coriander? Looks delish!!
I just subbed it looks soo good I’ll be trying this for shure.
