The soap taste is in their genes it won’t taste like cilantro like most people taste them.

Hello Dani!
I really <3 your channel!
Could you please make a video on how to make an organic homemaid kefir grains and kefir?I could really use this
Thank you! much <3!
The only way to truly smell a tortilla is to slap yourself in the face with it…been there..done that
John, fav Cole slaw dressing as a side for fried fish or oysters… 1 head of green cabbage to 1/2 head red cabbage (shredded); 1 bottle of Kraft Coleslaw Dressing, small can (or 1 cup) of pineapple chunks (or more to taste), 3/4 1 cup dark raisins, S & P to taste. Marinate in fridge a couple of hours. That’s it! Enjoy and you’re welcome! Huge fan here. Rick
What can you use to replace the peppers if you are allergic to all hot peppers
sounds like you and “someone in the house” have nothing in common.
bitchhhhhh this was so easy! im definitely making tomorrow night!
Love that sauce idea. This is a very nice, easy and fresh meal to make. Especially if you make your own tortillas or flat bread which I do. Thank you Dani you are the best. ❤️❤️
Red onions always work super well with all Mexican dishes and salsa! Too many use white onions or yellow onions and they’re too juicy and less sweet to the point that the dishes taste mainly of strong onions and all herbs and flavors are over powered. Then they end up over spicing the food to compensate and it confused the palate. The best Mexican dishes are those that balance out the spices and don’t use too many. Red onions help you balance that out without having to use high sugars to balance out the flavors. Red onions balance that out with the little bit of sweetness it add. Then no sugar needs to be added. Just a splash of apple cider vinegar and lime with garlic salt really creates a balanced flavor. For more of a chili taste you can add pinches of cummin to taste. It’s great for tacos. I’m so glad you use red onions. It shows you know how to balance that wonderful Mexican taste out. As for to coleslaw add a teaspoon or so of ranch flavor with some freshly homemade bacon bits and a nut like sunflowers with the normal citrus flavoring with slaw. Add a hint of horseradish it the slaw and no vinegar. All plants soak up vinegar way more than anything else. This is why plain white vinegar is a good way to kill weeds in your yard. It doesn’t pickle with cabbage like it dies on other things. It cancels out other flavors. So use your citrus dressing with a table spoon of ranch dressing. Then all more crunch with a meaty flavor with finely chopped almond or with sunflowers. I also all fresh finely diced make and that helps a lot. Broccoli in a slaw is good, but raw finely chopped kale really balances out the tardiness of the slaw and makes it more manageable for those that don’t like slaw normally. I have a lot of ppl over that don’t like slaw, but with that bit of ranch dressing in it they love it and eat it up.
This guy’s alright. Def gonna try this over the weekend with some fish I need to use up. Never technically had fish tacos though.
A recipe made & explained in a simple easy way. Not to mention that I DON’T have to “deep fry” the fish. It’s Monday 6/22/20 & I’ll be doin this here fish taco thing for my Sunday dinner! 6/28/20 (Lord willing) Thank U for sharing, peace & blessings to U & yours!

Happy Friday, CDFam! I hope you are doing well… staying safe and healthy. These fish tacos are SO good. They would be perfect for Cinco De Mayo, Taco Tuesday or literally any night of the week. Enjoy!
Seriously straight to the point videos Dani you’re the best
Totally different from your usual stuff. This is my kind of recipe for sure! I’ll definitely have to try it soon.
Thank you so much for your perfect recipe. My husband, who partly works in Los Angeles, asked me for fish tacos. I’ve tried to cook them here in Russia as you recommended and it works!
Dani love this recipe! Can’t wait to try! Have a question though, I’ve heard you should not eat Tilapia as it’s not raised to be a healthy food source. What are your thoughts?
First of all pico the gallo is not salsa, and for sure it doesn’t go with garlic. Second who toll you to use pumpkin oil and kosher salt? jeez.
Thanks for getting right to the recipe I’ll be making this tonight
COLEY FOLEY GOT: YOUR MESSAGE… HAHAHA! (YOU’LL GET FUCKIN THROWN IN THE SHOWER IF IT’S EVER LIKE THAT… HAHAHA!)
I wanna see this guy in a movie where he plays himself as a cook during the day, but at night hes a “for hire” assassin.
I agree with the someone else in your house about the cilantro yuck
Hello. I definitely want to make this. Can I use another herb to replace the cilantro. I was thinking parsley?
Thank you Dani! It looks so delicious! I should try it, and I love cilantro.
Why do people like cold tortillas for fish tacos? Every recipe i have seen, they don’t care that their tortillas are just sitting somewhere getting cold
Dani, a true breath of fresh air, so versatile and always inspiring! I do not eat animals but will try this with grilled tofu or grilled halloumi cheese. Thank you Dani for yet another winner. You and family stay safe and please keep those recipes coming! x
This video is underrated. These are the best god damned fish tacos in the world.
Vijaya, Thanks for the recipe. My wife and I made the fish tacos tonight and it was amazing. Better than restaurant quality. Keep up the great work.
Made them yesterday for this hot summer weather!!! The Crema !!! Super quick!!!
My 11 year old son enjoys cooking and baking. So grateful for the clean and simple dishes you upload for us to try. Now how to tackle the grocery shopping part
Whoa. Great video. I’m hungry now. I love a good Canadian cheese on my tacos
What brand is your knife that you are using to cut the fish?
This sounds wonderful but I believe you left out the cilantro in the taco sauce? Am I wrong? There isn’t any in the taco sauce recipe. Maybe it’s my brain fog…….
I’m trying this recipe tonight. The printed recipe does not have cilantro listed in the ingredients for the sauce but the video calls for 1/2 cup. Did I miss something. I’ve added the cilantro to my sauce. Can’t go wrong. Thanks
Please make a video on your go to homemade marinades. please make videos on marinades. It would help me use up what I have at home without having to go to the store.
This is actually really close to how we prepare fish tacos here in Baja California! nice and tasty. btw cant believe your husband doesnt like cilantro, its so delicious!
Just a tip I have learned from being a “fish monger” you should trim out the dark meat of any fish that you use before cooking. This darker meat acts like a filter for the fish and contains a much stronger taste than the rest of the fish.
I love your video so much, simple yet straightforward! Subscribed:)
Cilantro tastes like soap to me also. Kisses me off because I feel like I’m missing out on it, but it tastes like soap.
alright. okay. this. is. actually. deliSSSSSHHHH! git damn!! So, I just have to change up a few things. I think I put quiet a bit of salt and I used sea salt. also, I changed up a bit the marinate sauce. I added some good ol old bay seasoning and some lemon pepper, but again I think I added too much salt or is it because I used sea salt? next time i’m just gonna leave lemon pepper out. anyways, it is DELISH!!! I could also change up the pico de gallo..find the right jalapeno and the right tomato.
Just discovered your channel (from the banana oatmeal breakfast cookies video) and I am in LOVE! Your recipes are all SO accessible and no weird fancy/expensive ingredients you make healthy living and eating easier for all of us! Thanks so much, lots of love for this channel!
Awesome!!!! Tried this recipe earlier this week! Would love a blackened fish recipe
I would use Catfish it is easy to fry not Founders too easy to burn too fast.
Could I substitute the jalapeño for a bell peppper and leave out the radish and cabbage
May I substitute flat leaf parsley for the cilantro? I’m allergic
Just made this for dinner the sauce is AMAZING!
Thank you so much!
Your recipes always have such a great combination of ingredients. Mahi Mahi is one of many fresh ingredients I miss since moving from Florida. Keep up the great videos Dani and be safe.
Oh my goodness, these have become my favorite fish tacos! The sauce puts them over the top. Outstanding!!
I made this today. It was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much. Will definitely make again and again.
Camilla Alves no mayo Cole slaw is delish. Cannot wait to make these today
I’m going to try these soon. I’ll let you know how I like them.
Hello! This recipe looks delicious! I have a question about where you purchase your fish? For me, good fish is hard to find. Do you order it online? Thank you so much!
Fish Tacos Crunch…
Picture a hot summer day at the Hawaiian Islands Kona, or the Big Island of Honolulu, at the Huki Lau freshly Mahi-Mahi fish, beautiful limes, aromatic cilantro chopped up, spicy jalapeños, and the crunchiness of red cabbage, radish, scallion, and delicious avocados, tortillas, and home made cream, light, packed with flavors, simply the best Day of your life.. Aloha
John, I’ve just discovered you and already am a huge fan. Great sense of humor, super natural in front of the camera, and, oh, did I mention seriously cute? Your hubby is a lucky guy.
Your videos are amazing. I was inspired by your videos and even started making cooking videos and tried making pancakes for the first time and it did turn out very good. I am so happy to have found your channel❤️
Omg Dani!! I love your recipe…thanks for your videos!!
P.S. any ideas how to make vegan rice pudding?
Thanks again
Love it! Gotta make these fish tacos with or without avocados they look delicious! Keeper recipe! The colors look amazing in contrast to the tortilla. Thanks John.
Cilantro tastes like mint or lemon sometimes to me not sure why its weird.
They do look super good. But without the avocado I’m sad haha
Made these fish tacos for dinner the other night, so easy and my family loved them. I used tilapia because my husband doesn’t really like fish, it came out perfect. The cilantro sauce is amazing, I made another batch the next day just to have it for salad dressing. Thank you for the recipe.
OMG, OMG, your recipe is so GREAT, hummmmmmmmmmm, please, give me some piece, special kiss for you and have a nice day
Its time to ditch some friends! Lol
Thanks. I never knew radish can go with my soup. I will try that. Thanks. Your great.
This looks delicious:) thank you!
Random question, is it me or Dani’s voice sounds like Halle Berry’s?
Es un consejo no calientes las tortillas directas en la lumbre de la estufa porque te asen daño cómprate un cómala mexicano
Guys, do not throw away the stems of cilantro! That’s where all the flavor is stored! Since we cant use them in this recipe, just chop them up nd use them in literally any savory dish to brighten it up.. I love cilantro stems with my fish stew or veggie pancakes. Love it!
What can you swap for yogurt not including soy or dairy free yogurt.
Do you guys turn your head to eat a taco, turn the taco, or both?
Did anyone else got excited when he was using his hands to flip the tortillas?!
Hispanic signature there!! ☺️
Hi Dani, I don’t normally eat tacos, and I hardly ever eat fish, but your video was so attractive I had to try the recipe. OMG! It is so good. I especially love your tip about the tortillas. I never made them this way before. Thank you. Love your recipes so much, can’t wait for the next video! xo
It looks so delicious, I’m making them tomorrow.. wonder what kind of tortillas are they?
This looks so good just one question is it possible to eliminate just jalapeños from the sauce? Because unfortunately, I am allergic to them..
Everyone says that my mom’s coleslaw is the best they’ve ever had I have to agree. I’ll get her recipe and post it as soon as I see her.
FYI…The printable version of this recipe doesn’t include the cilantro in the sauce. I made it from the printable recipe and the sauce is white. I will go back and add the cilantro although it isn’t too bad without. I’m sure the cilantro will give it that vibrant green color as well as bump up the flavor a lot.
You are incredible, your videos are so helpful, creative and full of yummy and healthy food. I really love to watch you
Looks like the print version has been updated now. I printed it several days ago so the cilantro wasn’t there. Also noticed that below where it says Taco Sauce…combine… the cilantro isn’t there either. Added the cilantro and this really is as good as Dani say it is!
What a delicious healthy sauce!
Slaw looks so easy to make.
I just love your recipe.
Thank you
I made them today and they were wonderful. Used home made tortillas using Garbonzo Bean/Tapioca flour and I used tilapia. I didn’t have a bullet, so I used my food processor and it all turned out wonderfully. Love the freshness and the little kick in the sauce.
Made these tonight. They were easy and super delicious!! Thank you.
0:55 HOGWASH! that’s not Mahi Mahi, you tilapia man!! PFF! haha
I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to see if he said that was Tilapia lol I Googled fish tacos and he came up 1st
So happy with all ur meals especially the fish dish, but I was wondering do u do vegan red meats meals? Great job.
Made this last night. That sauce I didn’t have much faith in but gave it a try anyways. Very very good. Thank you. Will make this again. I did however add some crunch with some shredded cabbage.
Hiiii I loved the recipe and I’m fanning over your emerald ring. Plllleaaaasse tell me where you got it frommm
Quick video. Like the format. Skip the garlic in the pico de Gallo.
Hi Dani, thanks for the recipe! I love your channel and look forward to it every Friday! My fiance and I are starting to build our wedding registry and would love a video about your kitchen essentials (cookware, bakeware, utensils, etc.). What products do you like and what brands?
Great fish tacos! Love the combination of veggies and fish! Thank you for sharing this, something to try it out next time!
I followed your formula tonight…except with lingcod. My wife pulled the wrong fish out of the freezer, which is my fault because I didn’t label after catching and packaging.
It turned out fantastic! A great blend of flavors. I bailed on the single corn tortilla over flame, not because my fingers are heat sensitive, but because my first taco disintegrated before I could eat it. For me it worked better with two tortillas warmed in the microwave. A big shout-out to Westport Deep Sea Charters and the crew on “The Slammer” for making my first rockfish/lingcod fishing trip a huge success.
What a great recipe! We love us some spicy fish tacos! Thanks for this awesome recipe ❤️
I’m a big fan
You remind me of our youngest daughter. Looks great
I love your enthusiasm.
I’m an old guy about to reach 70 and you cross all generations and ethnic barriers with your recipes
I made these the other day. They are great. A big thumbs up from my hubby and son too:) One benefit during this awful time has been finding your channel and learning to cook and bake! My husband has lost 8lbs so far.
https://youtu.be/XMYH-ikZF9g y’all should watch this just saying
why are white people so hellbent on celebrating cinco de mayo? what do you celebrate? us mexicans don’t even celebrate. make the tacos. eat them. and be done with it.
I make my slaw with cider vinegar mayo sugar and a can of crushed pineapple with my shredded cabbage
Sorry, can’t digest radishes. Everything else is the way to go.
Wow. That really looks delicious. Super crunchy and with the mild, yummy fish (We call Mahi “dolphin” in the south the Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin is called a “porpoise”). Perfect looking and mouth watering!
Are you out of your mind? Can’t believe someone would remove tomato seeds.
Love your channel!! Can so relate to having “someone in the house” who doesn’t like things ahahah
Just made this for Valentine’s Day Dinner. This guys knows what he’s talking about. The only difference was that I just mixed in the radishes with the mixture and added crumbled feta cheese on top of the tacos. Otherwise great recipe. Roasting the tacos on the open flame was a nice touch too. Turned out awesome.
Love fish tacos but hate frying anything in my tiny apartment.
Delicious! I’ve been an instagram fan of yours for a while but just stumbled upon your goldmine youtube channel!
I made these. Loved it. Love the sauce. Thank so much. I’m wondering if can make sauce and keep it in the fridge for few days because I like it so much. I want to use on other things too
