Shoe sales/discounts are where it’s at! Might need to try the Adios line or Boston. If it doesn’t work I’ll just ship it to the Philippines (there’s a guy in the comments just DYING to try some Adios or Boston)
I’m running in the adios 4 and the Boston 7’s and really enjoying both. when it comes to upgrading I’m pretty sure I will stick with this line.
I was surprised to see that Adidas also has a range for trail shoes although reviews online are super scarce.
I have the brooks ghost 12 and the Nike Pegasus and my feet be killing me! I mean 3 mins in a 2 mile I can’t feel my feet
Picked up the SL20 for $44 shipped based off your main review, going on my first run in them tonight!
This is probably unpopular due to most reviews out there, but I recently picked up the peg 37s and as a heavier runner (14st9lb) and ex rugby player with less that ideal knee health, they just really work for me! Plus I got them with 15% off for under £90!
As I’m currently suffering with a bunch of foot issues I’m focussed more on shoes that reduce my pain levels.
Out of all my 15 or so pairs, the clear winner is the Reebok Panthea. It’s been a revelation. I don’t know why but both my plantar and seismoid pain is geatly reduced in them. For comparison I struggle to run more than 10k in the Triumph 17 without problems.
Honorable mention to my old Brooks Ghosts. 800km in and still comfortable…,I can’t comment about the ‘80s or ‘90s. I regard anything after ‘79 as the future!
just got bondi 6s after owning several pairs of “boost” (lol) they dont last 5 minutes!upper shreads to bits and the tread wears out fast resulting in the boost not working as it should(injury shoes for real)
the last hoka clifton 3s i owned lasted 1000km. im ready for hokas again
Go to Jami reviews, Eddbud, or Kofuzi for good reviews and opinions. This video SUCKS!!!
Mine are: 1. Brooks Hyperion Tempo 2. 1080v10 3. Brooks Revel 3 4. Nike React Infinity 5. Saucony Triumph 17. Looking forward to trying more speedy shoes to have a more diverse list later this year!
My favorite shoes:
1. Asics Glideride
2. Saucony Endorphin pro
3. Asics Metaracer
4. Asics Evoride
5. Asics gel Kayano 27
Hi Kofuzi, I’m looking for the next pair of marathon daily trainer shoes ( mainly for long run and easy run). I had a pair of Pegasus 36 which was great but it’s over 900 km now and need a change. Would you recommend to get another Pegasus 36 or Boston 8 / adios 4 would be better option? I’ve never run in adidas shoes before. The price are quite similar between them now. Thanks!
1. Nike zoom Pegasus turbo2 is a easy No1 spot for me 2. Nike vaporfly next% 3. Nike zoom fly 3 4. Adidas sl20 5. Nike fly flyknit
Adios4 by far the best marathon racing shoe.
Plenty of stability for the marathon distance compared to other racing flats. Amazing stability, ground contact, and fits like a glove.
Other racing flats either are too flimsy or lack the lockdown necessary to feel “racy”.
My Brooks Glycerin still the best shoe i’ve put on my friend got blisters after running on SL20
1. skechers speed elite
2. nike Pegasus turbo 2
3. nike Pegasus 37
Just picked up the Reebok FloatRide Run Fast 2 (same colourway as your pair) and the adidas SL20 in black and orange. Bought both pairs for under £160. I call that a bargain.
I’m one of those that just didn’t feel the SL20 had the cushion necessary for daily miles or anything over 13 miles. I would of liked to see the drop of 10mm go to 8mm and give the forefoot that 2mm in stack height cushion. Outsole was perfect as you would expect from the continental runner. The upper felt cheap and overall length with all adizero range was short. So the weight of 230g for a 8.5 was actually 230g for a size uk8. Basically strip the heel cup down a bit, add a softer upper material’s, drop the drop and add the stack height in the forefoot. Other than that like you said the price to shoe ratio is astounding
I think the reason adidas SL20’s got early discounts is the SL series historically coincides with the Olympic years (eg SL72, SL80). With the Tokyo Olympics moved to 2021, I think it messed up the project/concept. So there might be an SL21 instead, or whatever new model which will serve as a replacement.
what is a GREAT running shoe for a mile run or short distances?
Top shoe for me has been the Nike Peg Turbo 2! The midsole feels great. Makes me wonder what the Next% feels like.
Another brilliant video. Regarding the Beacon V3, I’m not so sure about the durability. I purchased for Beacon V2 a couple of months ago and completely loved it at first. But now, I’m finding exposed midsole is getting pretty chewed up and has lost much of the bounce the it had initially. I’m probably only around 100 miles in the shoe. The midsole pattern looks slightly different on the V3 but not sure if it will have the same issues
The Reebok Floatride Run Fast must only be selling cheaper in the men’s version never seen it at those prices for women ☹️
Ed, what is the sizing like on the SL20? I fancy getting a pair but usually find Adidas to be on the small side. I’m a UK 10.5 in the Saucony Triumph 17, a 10.5 in my Zoom Fly 3 but 11 in New Balance Rebel. Not sure whether to buy these in an 11 or an 11.5 if they are even smaller than usual?
One of top 5 videos of Ed… It ws good compilation for the year…no signoff fav recommendations I thought something got deleted while video upload
Great video Edd. I love my Boston 8’s and look forward to trying the SL20’s.
Thanks for this very interesting video! You mention that it is not trivial to run a marathon with the Adios 4. Do you think that it would be bit more “accessible” to use the Boston 8 for a Marathon? Or in general, do you consider the Boston 8 a good alternative for a Marathon? Thank you very much for the high-level contents of your channel!
Love the way you describe the runners with humour, makes one listen. Which one is good for someone who needs a stability runner as have high arches. Dont run like I used too but with this video want to get back in the race again.
Ran Chicago in the boston 8 and just ordered a new pair($54) during adidas 30% off sale. Race day(or faster training days), I always prefer the adios and bostons
Adidas haven’t made one of those carbon fiber plates on the midsoles or Nike patented those?
No Peg 37 Ed, its the best shoe i’ve put on this year and will do absolutely anything!!!
Great vid again my friend. That’s a really nice wish list too I do really fancy getting the Saucony Endorphin Speed when they come out, whenever that will be
I don’t know anyone who produces as many videos as you, Edd. I’ve had to quit my job just to keep up with them!
Looked for the SL 20 couldn’t find it less than £70plus where is it £50
I snared the Endorphin Pro today the moment they were released, and am eagerly awaiting them in the mail next week. Luckily I was quick off the trigger because they only had one pair my size in stock. I will find out if this shoe will be in my top 2020 shoe list.
For now my list is:
1. FuelCell Rebel
2. Novablast
3. Rincon
4. 1080v10
Picked up the Boston for the first time a few weeks ago (thanks, adidas website sale). Leaps and bounds better than the ultraboosts I’ve run in so far
Digging the Endorphin Pros, but shocked that SL20 is in top 5 let alone #1. I picked up the Boston 9s to replace my 7s (661 miles) but found it inferior and cheap feeling. It’s like I put on a pair of slippers and am slapping around like Ariel on land before she got
whacha call them? Oh yeah, feetI’m afraid I’d get shin splints from a longer run. Same light strike midsole, although the heels are boost I think. I didn’t return them bc it was also so so cheap ($79 US) that I was coerced by the price to hold onto them. I don’t really have a place for them in my shoe rotation, and there really is no big difference between it and SL20 in terms of use at least. Endorphins now take over, but the 7s are going strong and I’m still keeping them in my rotation for medium runs only (4-8 for me). You’re the best, Edd!…just discovered yet another Adidas Boost shoe…think this is the only one “Made In USA”…Speedfactory AM4…no idea how it fits in with the other models…so confusing!!!
Adidas for me it’s always be football I really struggle to consider their running shoes. And the ultraboost cost £160. To much for just a daily training shoes. And for the long run just don’t feet so for this money I can bought asics nimbus or Brooks ghost or hoka Ricon. Adidas just don’t keep up, it’s just a very rich brand that can afford to have good athletes under is brand but I don’t see many runner wearing Adidas in the street and even less in race.
“You have outdone yourself with this video Ed!” I’m digging the vote for Pedro shirt.
1. Saucony Endorphin Pro
2. Skechers Speed Elite (late 2019)
3. New Balance Fuelcell TC
4. Reebok Floatride Run Fast 2 (wish it was just a bit wider in the toe box)
5. Skechers GOrun Ride 8 Hyper (late 2019)
What are your thoughts about Allbirds Tree Dashers? The brand is getting popular in USA.
I have been on a mission to find a long run shoe that will hold up for 20-30..so far I’ve tried most of the ones I’ve heard reviews recommended to date..in order of the ones that my feet can tolerate without causing excessive heat or pain to bottom of feet..some can’t last 3 k before I want them off
1.Skechers razor 3
2.NB rebel
3.Hoka rincon
4.Hoka clifton 6
5.NB beacon
Those that failed,some drastically..
Saucony triumph 17
Acsics nova blast
Every nike from next% down
Most hoka-most NB-all skechers except razor 3
Racing will start for me on july 18 with 1/2 marathon..will be a lot of races to meet my normal 40 a year..best of luck to all as races start up again..cheers
that’s attractive. but I’ve just bought a boost uncaged. maybe next year I will buy boston 8!
Shoe seller: so, for this season we have almost 1000 color schemes. So which colorfull shoes do you want?
Konfuzi: BLACK
Maan your life is Blacker than my asian black eye.
Great review Edd . New balance fuelcell tc my favourite so far for faster and longer runs.
Sorry guys Hoka Bondi is a much more comfortable running shoe over the long haul. Brooks Glycerin is not even close.
You video is not balanced and lack looking at other brands, which are much better.
This video must have been really difficult to make because you’ve run in so many shoes this year.
My list 1. Novablast 2. Hoka clifton 6 ( only got it in Feb). 3.Reebok forever Floatride Energy 2.0. 4.New balance 1080 v 9 ( only bought in Jan got me through the wet winter). 5.Brooks Ghost 12( Technically last years model discounted due to impending release of the 13). I was looking at the SL20 they are practically giving them away. But I was put off by reviews of them being not cushioned enough.
I refuse to budge from 1996, I’m with you Edd I’ve not run in the SL20, but does it really deserve to be above the Endorphin Pro!??
Just wondering, do you have the plan to test Adios 5 and Adios RC? Both of them have Adidas’ new midsole LightStrike. I’m so looking forward to it:)
I picked up a pair of the Adidas Adizero Prime for my wife from Amazon for a whopping $27. They seem to be pretty similar to the adios family, so at that price I figured it was worth a shot!
1980s Endorphin Pro? I don’t know about that. I was wearing the canary yellow Nike LDV and had a tone of them bought from every shoe store that still had them stocked and gathering dust in their backroom. No, no, the Endorphin Pro is a fast looking 2020 shoe in my eyes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRDdsImH4Ws
Alternating between 2 Rincons-first go with Hoka-Love them. Thinking about throwing some Carbon X in the mixare they similar to the Rincons?
Wow!!! I feel like I’ve just won the lottery. I have a pair of SL20’s coming today, and they only cost $59.98. I was paying that much for running shoes 30 years ago.
Watch the New Ultraboost 21 here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyNs-bBuVI4m5yafwussm4g. Just found it by chance.
My Reebok’s are due any day, cant wait! and picked up for £75
Nice selection, I’m intrigued by the SL20 but am worried about the amount of cushioning. Two good choices
Hey, I’m training for half marathon in 3 months, which shoes should I get? There are too many options nowadays and I get overwhelming. Thanks in advance.
No DVD’s or CD’s today. I was looking forward to seeing another pick from my collection showing up in yours!
I liked the solar boost until it got to the end of its life. Once they go, you HAVE to replace them because they become unusable
1. Asics Novablast
2. Nike Turbo 2
3 Nike Vomero 14
2021 will be a two shoe rotation, max cushion type and a tempo shoe. I don’t race but if that endorphin pro ever sells for half off, it seems versatile enough for a tempo shoe. It is the best looking shoe of 2020 for sure.
At 90kg+ would you recommend the NB over the Adidas?! Looking for an all rounder really! NB have a 15% off code on their website if you sign up to their newsletter for anyone looking to get them! Thanks
Looks like a solid list.
I didn’t have 5 shoes for viewers’ Top 5, but I posted my 3.
✌♂️
Picked up ultra boost 19 for 75 dollar’s, my second pair, very comfortable
I got the entire line… Adios 4, Boston 7, Solar Glide and Ultraboost 19. Yes the are almost the same shoes by the look, but have a different feeling. My favourites are Adios 4 (which I have 2 pair and a Adios Prime (a.k.a. Adios with Primeknit) which sometime I do rotate with Reebook Floatride Fast and NB890v7. Well Boston and NB890v6 are my other favourites. Supernova / Solar Glide are my fav for daily trainer… For Ultraboost, it is too heavy and notfun enough to run with. You know the different is like driving a sport car against a luxury car.
Top notch @eddbud. Agreed on the list. The Endorphin Pro will be worth picking up for sure. Excited for that Adizero Pro too!
Hey Ed! Thanks for this video! But what about the infinity reacts? I thought you loved that one?
What shoe would you recommend for long runs? I don’t like my Gliderides so much and the Novablast could be a bit unstable.
I can’t comment on many 2020 vv shoes Edd but the endorphin pro have my vote✊
Why did they remove the beacon v3 from all selling websites in ?
Wow Edd TC honourable mention? I go to bed with mine on!
And Endorphin Pro 2nd still the fact that you placed a Nike shoe so far down your top 5 says a lot about the quality of the competition! As always, a great review.
What about the AM4 speedfactory? Those are affordable, and has tons of boost.
BTW 30-40% off those adidas prices right now with code FRIENDS
I love Adios. Great value shoe (when on sale), very durable, good aesthetics, and the traction is excellent in wet and dry road conditions. I hope Adidas keeps this or a very similar line for many years. I have zero interest in using heavier shoes for faster training and races.
I can get solar boost 19 for around 30 $ cheaper than ultraboost 19, what should i choose please tell me I plan to use it for playing table tennis for like 2 hours at max, and for casual wear.
Hi, I’m looking for a running shoe that provides good cushioning as I have previously had problems with my knee. This is what attracted me to the ultraboost shoes but I also heard that they are quite heavy and I didn’t want the excess cushioning to impact my running. Is there a pair that would be a good balance of cushioning and performance?
I was never into the Adidas running line because I always thought that “Boost” was just a fad thing and not for serious runners. Now I’d like to try out their entire lineup.
Great list edd. Good to see value came into play on this one. So, how’s the dealeo sounding on the 32 piece set?
In my experience, the claim you make about the lighter weight ground contact Eva foam does not hold up. I wore down those foam sections in 200 miles in the model 3 which has the same sole as the model 4. It is a shame since they also use a stronger Eva base on other sections of the outer sole that last longer. Even with this fault, these are fantastic stability shoes.
Interesting video. Where do your good self and others buy the top end running shoes? I live in the North East of England and no one stocks any of the shoes mentioned. Iv tried dozens of different shops and outlets and they don’t stock any of the top rated shoes that’s constantly on you tube videos. Any idea why?
Great breakdown! On a totally different note, what are your thoughts on barefoot/minimalist running shoes?
the pict adidas, but there is no adidas in this video
I have the Adizero Tempo 9 which are my main training shoe. It fits right in the middle of the Boston and Solarboost in my opinion. They were my first brand new pair of running shoes when I started 6 months ago and I have even run my first races in them end of last year. Great shoes!:)
Thanks for the video, It gave me a better understanding about these 4 running Adidas tennis. I just bought an Ultraboost 19 because of my age, I think I need more cushion instead of speed.
Ran my first half marathon in the adios 4 and my legs took a pounding by the end of it but it really is a speedy sho. I’m 170lbs, what would you recommend for a daily trainer? I’m thinking the new balance beacon or Boston 8
Ultraboost 19 just arrived today, can’t wait to try them tomorrow! Looking forward to exploring the brand more in 2020!
Nice review man! Im a lot heavier at 190lbs so I really like thick cushion. I think we experience the same shoe a lot different. Also I’m a totally casual runner just for exercise.
I actually have the endorphins and the SL20 in the mail
Great review… Looking for a new pair of runners and this makes it easier to do
Which one is the most comfortable to run with long distance mileage,
Solar boost 18 or solar boost 19?
Hello, may I use this video for my website about running shoes?
Interesting choices especially with no sign of the Metaracer or NOVABLAST which surely would be FOD Runner’s #1:) I perhaps am going to be boring and still put 2 shoes first out last year NEXT% 1st as I just love running it and works well for me at all up tempo paces and have bought more pairs of them then anything else of late. 2nd is Turbo 2 which have had 3 pairs of going strong. Good for pretty much anything apart from perhaps race day with the NEXT%. 3rd think will say TC. Initially did not like but has proved a good option for long runs. SL20 is an interesting one. I might put it higher than 4th but as it only goes to a 12.5 I feel I would like a bit more room but agree for the price it is a very option. TBH I think it is low as adidas have lost their way and spent far too long thinking everybody still wants an Ultra Boost what 7 years after they came out. If I had them the Endorphin Pro, Metaracer, Hyperion Tempo (although on the way) may well be in there but as not yet tried them can’t really vote for them. 5th might be toss up between NOVABLAST, 1080v10, Peg 37 as all similar if somewhat unexciting daily trainers. 1080v10 was working well but last run in got a huge blood blister and not worn since although could have been the socks. As such perhaps will lean towards the NOVABLAST for 5th. So of the shoes have used this year then NEXT%, Turbo 2, TC, SL20, NOVABLAST. AlphaFly not found fantastic yet and the NEXT% just fits me better and yeah I have run in it and I do feel the extra weight almost 60g for me in a UK13.
I love your reviews. I love the Boston 8. Now I am curious about the Adios. These shoes are also SO affordable. Have you tried the Cloudform? Just trying to think about what to try next
Hey I’m looking for like all around type shoe. I’m currently training for a half marathon but also track is coming up so I need that speed work but also one that can put in the mileage. Any suggestions? (Btw price doesn’t really matter)
Witch is the best recomendation in your plan fof the endorphins pros?
TODAY ONLY! Adidas is running a 40% off sale, Ultra Boost 19 $75, Adios 4 $55. STEALS!
Are the sizing of all these shoes the same? as the ultraboosts I have fit so perfectly in an 8. So will the adios 4 fit me in an 8 as amazon reviews say they’re smaller than expected.
Got my Sl20s for £40 off of the Addidas Store, what an absolute steal. They were aready half price and then i found a promo code so got them down from 50 to 40.They arrive tomorrow and Im itching to get a run in them.
What would you say is the difference between the Arahi and Gaviota?
Eddbud: If money isn’t an obstacle which would you buy for training the Endorphin Pro or New Balance TC?
Good prices. I just got a pair of Boston 8 on Amazon for $61
Quick question firstly love the review I am thinking of getting this or the brooks gts I am currently running in under armour hovr and keep getting shin pains ( i do have flat feet) can you recommend which one should I get from the site. Cheers.
Got to try on the Adios, Boston and Solar… oh my, the Adios just felt like i was stepping onto a plank under the forefoot, granted it was just in the shop.
Either i’m soft or i just need a bit more under foot.
It would be cool to make a video comparison of boost and lightstrike!
I think i asked u before already…can u make your full shoes collection??
I love Adidas! Really appreciated the breakdown and your thoughts on them. Boost is still life to me
A big minus is the Adidas website. It can be so difficult to have your payment be accepted. Looks like a lot of people have this issue. When I called customer support they said that their system is very “strict” and had no reasoning why or solution for me other than try other payments (which did the same thing) and that my account could be cleared by Adidas to allow payment to go through which would take DAYS…not a happy camper during the recent sale.
BUT TIP! Link your credit/debit card through your Paypal and that does the trick. So happy I found that suggestion on Reddit. Wanted to pass it on to you guys because the Adidas website checkout is no fun.
Im currently running in the Adios in collab with Undefeated. The grey camo ones. Bit different but still feel like an Adios.
Don’t forget that the Adidas Adizero Adios 5 is launching world wide in January 2020!
In this year I got super impressed in a good way with the Adios 4 and for high cushioning the Nike Vomero 14 destroyed the competition and the Vomero 13.
Thanks for your cool review. Could you tell me what is difference between solar boost 19 and solar glide 19 and which one you recommend as equivalent to pegasus 35?
The only Adidas running shoe that has me interested is the Terrex Two Parley. Mostly because of the Parley for the Oceans collaboration knit upper made out of recycled water bottles in a full bootie with integrated gaiters. I haven’t made the purchase because I don’t see myself actually running in them.
Brilliant video. Been looking forward to to getting an overall review of your Adidas 2019 range a while. Totally agree about the Adios 4. Pick of the bunch for me. Its a phenomenal shoe but similarly my feet wouldn’t be strong enough to wear for a Marathon.
2 kids, day job, hundreds (thousands?) Of miles a year, daily vlogs/action cam cuts: one of the hardest working YouTuber out rn
I wish Adidas had a serious alternative to boost foam like Nike has with React, Zoom, Zoom X etc. Btw is that your dog snoring in the background?
Low almost flat arch and wide feet. Went with the saucony guide 13s that’s what my runner store suggested me but had to fit them in wide. Interested in.these too
What about the Adios SUB2? This is an amazingly light and exciting sleeper-shoe in the Adizero lineup, and the BOOST Light mid-sole gives Nike’s ZOOM X some serious competition. Kofuzi, I think you will really enjoy this shoe…
Boost is life…nothing compares to it. Solar Glide for long/easy runs is so comfy but at the same time snug! Boston 8 for tempo runs and marathon, well you run with a smile on your face, it pops all the time…always alive! Adios 4 for track speed work outs, just looks cool and it is fast!
It’s a bit late comment here. But does the fit of Ultraboost 19 is similar to boston 8?
im a lil confused between SL20, Adios(5) and Boston(9), on how exactly are they tiered, and what are their intended good for (distance/comfort/plush).
All 3 have seems to have low stack height
How is sizing for you with Adidas compared to Nike? Looking at some CM chart is seems like a Nike 11.5 translates to an Adidas 10.5 but it feels a little weird to go down an entire size. (I am looking to pick up a pair of the Boston 8’s so mostly interested in that sizing.
)
I’m also confuse with Adidas but thanks, because I love running I also use it for my rotation.. keep running Kofuzi
Hope adidas sticks with the SL20 concept and does not botch up future models. Would like to see more colorways too.
Thanks for the reviews!
Thanks for the video! I really appreciate reviews like these. I love the adios, but now I’m looking at trying out the Boston after watching this
I really love the Adios 4’s. Your opinion is spot on.
It’s my first time running in Boost. How durable is the foam. I got 125 miles in mine. Do you think it will last to 300?
For new runner shoes may be issue later after time it doesn’t matters..
Wrong title for this video. Should be 2019. Nike Pegasus 37, Brooks Ghost 13 and Glycerin 18 are the 2020 running shoes out now. The ones in this video are all the 2019 iterations.
Just bought a pair of Boston 8 for $55 from Jackrabbit based on your reviews. Looking forward to it. Thanks!
I have been thinking about giving the Adios a try. I think you give me a good reason to get off the fence. Another great video, thanks.
Bought these runners last week, after put 10 miles into them now, and there giving me awful blisters on the inside of my feet,
you should check out the stuff Tinman Elite has been doing they are a running team endorsed by Adidas, they have a youtube page and an instagram,
I still think ultraboosts are for lifestyle. It looks pretty good thou.
Great review! Although I’m excited for your best 2019 models… I think 2020 will be something to look forward to as well. (Saucony endorphin series, Asics Novablast, Reebok floatride grow and Skechers performance 2020…oh and Nike has the new Ekiden series and Infinity reacts as well). Keep on making great videos!
Great video, Edd!! I have to get my hands on the SL20 to give it a crack. If you get a chance I’d recommend you try the Saucony Ride 13 I’m realllllllllly enjoying it. the Ride 13 may be my favorite shoe of 2020 so far and that’s with me owning a pair of the endorphin pros just because of the versatility and price point. The Endorphin pro is of course miles ahead of it in almost every aspect, but it’s a pricier and specific shoe that I can’t enjoy as often.
The different iterations of Supernova and Glide boost shoes are still my favorite daily trainers. I have a couple old ones still in rotation. When it comes to the more up to date stuff I love the Adios and Pure boost DPR.
Kofuzi you That boost is the best cushion sedup in running shoes
I picked up the solar drive on bf sales and am very impressed with it after 3 10ish km runs. It appears to be just the solar boost without the torsion thingo so might be pretty much the same fit and feel but i must say it’s looking like my new favourite daily trainer. It was super cheap too.
I think Adidas still has the right shoes out there as you mentioned. They are just taking a different direction from Nike, which is going the Hokka route. Still think Adidas/NB has the upper hand with their minimal racing shoes, but Nike has the edge on the longer, cushioned and fast shoe.
Now I can’t wait for Saucony’s line. Looks like it will be very interesting.
Great video and very informative @kofuzi
I had a terrible experience with my nike pegs, the midsole got separated from the upper as well as the outsole while running. The glue came off probably.
I’m looking for a new durable pair of shoes for my daily runs. I’m considering adios, boston and solar boost. What do you suggest?
I read somewhere that boost layer is reduced by as much as 7mm for 2020 ultraboost. Hope this is true. I am edition7 boston fan.
You should have a review on one of the adidas racing shoes, Takumi. Fast and lightweight!
Do any of the other Hoka models apart from the Bondi come in wide ( 2E) fittings?
Couldn’t agree more on the SL20. I’ve used it for miles anywhere from 9:00/mile to 6:00/mile pace. Feels great.
I just tried on the UltraBoost 19 today at the store and it does indeed feel heavy. Didn’t get a chance to run in them but maybe I will pick up a pair if the colorway I like goes on sale…I can’t help but feel if someone like Nike had come out with the Boost material they would have done a better job of integrating it into their shoesand marketing it…but they certainly kept pace with Adidas once Boost came out with the Pegasus shoes. Let’s see how Saucony get on with the new improved Boost material (PWRRun+). A direct comparison between the Saucony Triumph 17 and UltraBoost will reveal all. Speaking of Saucony, the Kinvara is named after a small seaside town on the west coast of Ireland in County Galway. I like the Kinvara name. Really enjoyed the video…and thank you for trying to clarify the extremely confusing line of Boost shoes!!
One point on production: Your consistent disclaimers tell me that you have a professional mindset. That buys you trust, at least with me. You have the attention of retailers & brands. But, your not on anyone’s PR team. This one small point puts you at the top a the believability scale. I may disagree with your honest opinion. But, it’s your honest opinion. Thanks and keep up the great work.
ever run in brooks? curious about your opinion about them… your reviews have been helpful in trying different shoes. great work
Excellent top 5 Ed, really nice range, recently purchased Adios 5, do you see much difference between it, the SL20 and the Takumi??
Just bought pureboost dpr for about 50usd, trying to find discounted solarglide or solarboost for my daily trainer
1. Vaporfly Next% so light, so fast!
2. Nike Zoom Pegasus 35 Turbo (Yes; it’s from 2018 but I have 6 pairs, sadly my 7th was lost in transit from Nike:( )
3. Hoka One One Carbon X (I don’t normally like a firm shoe but after a few kms into a run these are set it and forget it)
4. Asics Novablast (Great all-rounder)
5. New Balance FuelCell TC (It would be a little higher if it was more stable)
Honourable mentions:
Nike Epic React Nice fitting upper and good for most runs.
ASICS GlideRide superb upper, smooth ride
New Balance FuelCell Rebel great tempo and intervals shoe
New Balance 1080v9 solid daily trainer and long run shoe.
Hey Mark great review perfect timing im looking to get into running and wanted to get a pair of shoes i looked at these and also the Nike react infinity run…………………..would you have any preferences between the 2? My feet are very flat and im a tall guy 6,2 so looking for something with that added cushion
I have wide and flat feet and these shoes killed my feet. The arch area just dug up in my foot. Once I hit six miles I quit; I had to walk back home and return the shoes.
Could you review the adidas senseboost as wel? l it’s in between the Boston 8 and the solar boost 19 in term of boost foam i loved my pureboost go. But they stopped making it.
Picked up adios 4 and boston 8 for 55 each, HUGE steal. Adios feels amazing. Probably going NB1080v10 for easy/recovery over the ultra/solarboost
Thanks for great review! Your review is always good. Which is more stability? this or nike infinity run?? I’m mild pronator and have some problem on my achilles, calves
