Better grip improves your ability to get up to speed and stop which can get you that head start on your defender and quicker direction changes to make it harder for your marker to stay with you, your boots can improve your shooting power, accuracy and spin for curved precision shots etc simply getting that extra on the ball increasing the chance of beating the goalie or be enough of a difference to have the ball go post in instead of post out with that added spin without changing your strike like hitting it harder at a greater angle to create that harder spin at the cost of power because your shoes suck or not ideal for football like your casual pair. Not necessarily game changing but it does boost your abilities for better results.

I understand that the Predator offers way more grip but based on reviews the Future seems to provide decent grip as well, with the added benefit of comfort and the netfit system. Would the future be a better choice if I want a comfortable boot for touch, passing and shooting with some dribbling involved?

I’ve worn both brands and I’ve found adidas and UA cleat plate design are great for artificial grass or turf. Nike cleat spike plate, like the diamond/square on vapor untouchables, are great for real grass fields. I jump between the pairs depending on the field and never have a problem.

I love the current Venom and Vapor. They are pretty much interchangeable; Although, I think the vapor accommodates better at the toes somehow.
Small changes in my opinion: Morelia Neo II Beta for Venom, Furon 6 leather instead Puma Future 5.1 ( in view of my preferences more flexible soleplate, more agressive studs and the upper is better form me than in knitted boots).

Bro I’ve been Nike so far, but playing Receiver the bottom of my last cleats just completely came off, I used it for like 3 months and shit wasn’t even games, just off season and pre season drills. Same thing happened to a previous cleat but took a little bit longer. My next one is gonna be Adidas so I can see if same shit happens

I had the 8.0s last year and they were amazing. I recently got the 9.0s and there is more cushioning on the ankles and the soles are more comfortable but they are tight. If you are going to get the 9.0s please get a half size to a size bigger because my toes are crying in pain. Other than the bulky heel and tightness, this cleat is good. But 8.0>9.0
