@lesrambles1 They’ve gone now finally:) aw i hope i goes away soon and yes they suck big time x
Thanks a billion! I saw my mistake…thank you the confirmation
This video couldn’t have come at a better time! I suffered some awful heel blisters while filming my hike this past weekend. A lot of times, my blisters come in two places and at two times: the heels going up steep inclines and the toes going down steep declines. This usually occurs when I switch from running shoes for speed marches and runs to boots for true hikes. I am definitely going to employ your tactics to help me in the future! Thanks again for putting this out!
I have 4 blisters now from my flip flops:( they’re in the most awkward places
Went on a long walk in Keds. Very bad idea. Two blisters at the back of each heel.
If you need that much tape buy proper boots…. Don’t copy that folks
Once you have drained the blister and then used some ‘Friars Balsam’ in the blister (this hurts) then as the Friars Balsam dry’s it dry’s sticky and then you can stick the two layers of skin together. cover with a blaster and you will be OK to go. Results are better if done the night before. Clean equipment is a must. if the blister goes forms again the repeat the process, if it liquid goes ‘milky’ you have the start of a infection, clean and use iodine in blister (now this really hurts)
I bought Nike revolution shoes and they gave me blisters. Very bad experience
I heard the music and pulled out the lotion instead of the razor blade.
Simple and informative video! I have no issues with blisters in ‘regular’ daily activities BUT I am having ‘trouble’ with blisters as I prepare for a 100km / 24hr road walk for charity. Can you add to and/or suggest any additional information (to the video) specific to my situation? Thanks in advance.
My school shoes rubbed and now i have a blisters it looks like a hole
Rebecca, thank you very much for your prompt reply, I will be heading over to the links you have given and at least experiment with them, can’t be any worse in what I endure at the moment!
Thank you again.
Colin
MoleFoam works ALOT better then moleskin, i used it when i went back packing in new mexico, loved it
8tdydtididurdfgifkhcI have a blister on my index finger and I suck at typing-_-
I have this blister covering my entire index finger and it actually is pretty comfortable for drawing on my tablet, weird
Nice video and taping technique. I shall try it out… Thank You:)
many thanks for info.in a few months I have a 3 month desert walk, bolivia some 4000 sq miles solo.dry desert hard surface.,what are your thoughts on the best tape to treat any blisters. rob ireland
How long does it usually take to heal or for the skin to be dry enough to peel?
I can’t help it but I keep deroofing my blister and it’s prob gonna make it worse but it’s only a small one
the narrator has such perfect enunciation.
also! i wouldn’t recommend antiperspirant. anything that impedes the natural processes of the body can’t be good for you. instead, sprinkle some baby powder in your shoes before and after wearing them. the powder will absorb most of the moisture, keep your shoes smelling good, and won’t do any damage to your feet! win-win-win.
Great info. I always get blisters when my run lasts more than 3 hours. Will use some of these advises to mitigate those annoyances. Thank you for sharing.
My problem is actually with blisters in my instep/arch area. It seems to vary a lot depending on the shoes I wear, and is basically only on my right foot. Some shoes I have no problems (10-12 mile runs with no blisters), some shoes I end up with a blister in as little as 3 miles.
oh my gosh i have a blister for the first time in my life wearing these running nike shoes.:(
my kayana’s shoes have wear on the ankle padding brace. i wish i knew how to fix it because i am getting blisters from it.
Excellent. Short, to the point, effective. Going to use this technique. Have seen others that take way longer and not as good.
I never got blisters while wearing nikes or jordans but when i played ball in my adidas D-rose i got blisters
Wow! Thanks for the information, coach Holly! Having blisters on toes or any part of feet is one of the most painful injuries that deter us from running.:( I’ve been a huge fan of Hoka One One shoes for all those years, and I always go half size up to give my feet sufficient toe box space. (Since I am kind of underpronate, I go for neutral shoes with enough cushioning as well. ) Thank you!!
Do not do blister, once your on blister its very hard to get off of. Rehab is a good option or something that will help the pain and suffering when trying to get off as to not relapse and get right back on blister.. blisters are bad mmkay.. dont do blister.. if you suddenly feel the blister coming on make sure you have your kit so you can avoid that feeling. Dont go into blister ridden areas and avoid old friends that could lead to blister by old habits,, the first step to getting rid VM of blister is admitting you have blister..
^ better info than what this video said and i was just talking about drugs… (for the people who didnt get it and need to open the box theyre stuck in..)
I have 2, one on each foot. What can i do to make them go away?
I’m In football and the bottom of my toe is scraped off is this good for me to copy this lmao
just watched this to see if i can apply tape to my toe..thanks for the help
i guess i am the only guy on earth that has 4 blisters one on top of the other to both my feet..:(
I’m disappointed you didn’t even mention the #1 blister-prevention tip of all time…VASELINE THE HELL OUT OF YOUR ENTIRE FOOT SURFACE! No amount of gear or training advice is anywhere close to being as effective as this simple, quick, easy and, most importantly, CHEAP trick.
How many of u came here to see beautiful leg….? None..!! Sp shutbthe fuck up and give her some respect she is trying to help u all by wasting her time..
Some additional tips from me: re-tying your shoes after about 5 kilometers/3 miles, pick the right sock thickness and apply magnesium to your sore spots beforehand
@fulltimespy Stop masterbating so much. Also, switch hands every other time so the same parts don’t get rubbed every time.
@nAngryKitty Wait until they harden into calluses and then scrap them off with pumice.
What exactly is the tape? is like band-aids here in the states or is it completely different? Thank you.
…So, by the time I’m 70, I’ll have size 15 fucking feet??!!
Summary:
1wider shoes, find a better fit when our feet are swollen
2higher cadence ; decrease contact time with ground
3zeasorb powder, toe socks
4fixing your feet book
5tape (second line of defense)
Great video thanks:)
why dont u just took a needle with a cottonstring through that blister? the cottonstring would absorb the water… no cutting…. and much faster… and u can desinfect the blister with 3%h2o2…
Next time don’t put on cheap porno music so we can hear your voice superstar.
TURN THE MUSIC DOWN TURN THE MUSIC DOWN WE CANT HEAR A DAMN WORD YOUR SAYING!!!
Is it possible that development of these blisters have got something to do with insoles of the shoes? I am getting the blisters below my 2 nd toe from many years. Specially when breaking in a new shoe! Also I have noted only few types of insoles give me this. Those insoles are slippery and my socked foot keeps slipping on them. I feel like the insole isnt giving good friction to provide a better grip to my feet! Dont know how to solve this. Because giant companies like adidas make same kind of insoles(very slippery). I liked the insoles of reebok walk lite. They gave perfect grip(good bond between sock and insole) so no slipping inside shoes so no blisters. But you cant get those insoles seperately! I am using adidas socks by the way! I searched for anti skid socks but no luck! Any solutions for me?
Thank you for making this video Holly!!
I have had blisters on both feet that became ulcerated and got infected. I’ve been under the care of a podiatrist and unable to run for the best part of 2 years. In fact, I just starting running again last week. I’ve got some new running shoes and I have special insoles. I have ordered quite a few pairs of specialist blister proof socks from manufacturers like Wrightsock, Balega, Feetures, Runderwear, Smartwool, Stance and Rockay in the (desperate) hope that it will help stop the return of these blisters that has killed my running and has blighted my life. I’m very interested in the foot powder, the swabs and the book. I’m very grateful for any tips and ideas to help stop the return of blisters. I’m hoping that I can continue my return to running hopefully injury free.
Spray deodreant on your feet before you put new shoes on it will be fine
Nice. I ran challenger 5’s last summer. Just picked up some speedgoats. Have blister issues on both big toes too. Thank you.
I wish you uploaded this earlier, I have blisters from my volunteer work T_T
Ha! I have the same problem. Mostly in summer time and longer runs. So I bought 2 pairs of the Injinji toe socks. Seems to be doing their job well. Will see soon enough. Great vid!
Folks, I highly recommend ArmaSkin. In my view, nothing else compares. Like a wetsuit for your foot! https://www.armaskin.com
I have ran a few ultra marathons now but always struggle with blisters on the balls of both feet if the conditions are wet underfoot or raining etc, especially when I am on my feet from anything between 5 and 16 hours. Would this technique still be of benefit in these types of running conditions or would you recommend some other type of treatment? (Already do the change socks thing, vaseline and trainers that drain water! etc!)
i only get blisters when i wear my flats, am i also supposed to wear socks?
FYI!!!! That is not tape, that is called coverall. We use it for the athletes, I️ do sports medicine. Real tape is called zinc oxide tape or kinesiology tape, kinda feels like cloth. Do not get them both confused, if you use kinesiology tape for that you’ll most likely get more blisters because that’s not how you use it. USE COVERALL FOR THIS NOT TAPE, or second skin or a foam circle pad if you already have one
Altras are not even wide enough for me (blisters on both sides of the feet). Been wearing Vivobarefoots (even wider) on trail (done multiple ultras in vibram five fingers) and after about 300km my feet are causing the Vivos to blow out the sides but no blisters:). Hokas were even worse for me than the Altras. I think I might be a mutant.
Anyone tried this to see if it worked for a Ruck run? I always get blisters on my heal and the arch of my foot. It’s always just my left foot too.
@xXxlibbybethxXx
4 blisters? poor girl. i have 1 blister.
blisters suck.
I get blisters where he didn’t tape .
I’m a forefoot runner so get them on the balls of my feet under my big toe and occasionally on my little toe. Also, if you are taping on top of you foot you may get tendonitis if wrapped too tightly.
Soo after gym i realized that i got a blister and it already popped. It burned.
I panicked because i once had an infected blister and it got so bad that it lead me to a surgeon to cut it off…
so anyways.
I got the gym’s medkit and wrapped the first bandage i found around my toe. I hurried home, showered and then disinfected my blister with a spray and applied a disinfecting ointment with a band aid. How long will it take to heal if i change the band aid daily?
Yes!!! Thank you!!! Never occurred to me to use this powder or try wider shoes. For tape, I recommend leukotape! It’s very sticky so you can use it alone without having to use those swabs you mentioned.
these feet also suffer from a fungal infection, taping is the last thing you want to do with them.
You might benefit from using our Anti-Blister Socks: https://operatorscoffee.club/armaskin-antiblister-sock-short
Most horrible video ever….but I think I got it…
1. Don’t get a blister
2. You may get a blister sometime.
3. Well…that about sums it up.
This video:
Dont get a blister, you can prevent them. Prevent them. If you do get a blister, deal with it.
Good points, good vid, good explanations. In summary don’t buy shit shoes for YOU, get barefoot shoes and transition
Omggg it’s a dudeee i thought it was a woman till i heard it voice I’m deaddd
Jusy wrap it up and ignore the pain like a real man! *Kidding
Advise this you do not have to do wear my parents come from the treat it whit a type of flower and then the juice of it turns the blister very ruby so then you can just bill it off
but did not mentioned what type/kind of tape>? we can’t just use packing tape,,,:(
complete nonsense, blistering is caused by few factors, depending on the problem blisters appear in different spots on our feet. Well fitted boot and socks changed regularly during the walk prevent most problems. If blisters are on the sole of the foot it indicates that we are not used to either the distance or the weight of the bag = we need more training. no “blister socks” no magic or spitting over the left shoulder.
i had a blister one time and it was cuz i theese tight shoes all the fucking time lol it was a small blister i popped it and put odeeee shit on my foot to clean it
omg i got a blister waiting for you to get to some real help. get to the point you moron
Just tried a new-to-me brand of socks called Wrightsocks that claim to prevent blisters. I was skeptical but after a 10 mile run I gotta say their claims seem to hold true. I was impressed.
I find it better to use a 1ml syringe to inject it straight into the blister after it has been drained, only a small amount is needed. Then apply direct pressure for at least a minute(make sure the skin does not crease) until the flap has stuck down. it hurts like hell for a short time but it’s better than suffering for a long journey.
I just cut the whole circle off, then I have a raw flesh circle left behind, but hopefully my feet will slowly turn into leather after enough of that:/
Holly, I’ll have to check out the Alta shoes. Got a new pair of Brooks but seems to be good to have at least 2 pairs. Notice you guys have several pairs of running shoes.
lol the music you out to pop your blister:) lol i got blisters on my toes from dancing:( they hurt so bad how long did it take to heal???
