I came across your channel about 15 min ago and I’ve already watched several of your videos. I subscribed and I am totally going to make this recipe this weekend. BTW I LOVE Weck jars. Just found a bunch of them on Homegoods this weekend and could believe people hadn’t taken them. Amazing videos!!!! ❤️
Just a tipadd cumin to taste (I use 1 to 1 1/2 tsp). It really brings it sooooo close to the original chilito! And for those saying no beansyes we get it, original didn’t have beans, but unless you want to cook this down for a loooong time while adding more and more liquid as you go, use the beans. The beans thicken it, and they don’t really alter the flavor. It’s a useful cheat! You will not have the consistency of the chilito without it. Awesome vid!
Mother of God! I’ve been wanting one of these for years since they got rid of it around my area. Making it this weekend for sure!
I just got one and there was very little filling and the price jumped up to $2.59. Will be making at home now.
Avenue Pub, St. Charles St, New Orleans. They got a good one
So I started making it without watching it through first (living life on the edge). Fortunately I had all the same ingredients and oh my goodness mate, this stuff is fit! I actually whacked it all in a food processor and put in some peppers too. I’ve never tasted Taco Bell but it was the best mexican I’ve made.
Yo man thanks for the video. If you ever make it to St. Louis MO. They’re at all the TB’s. Take care.
Made this for supper tonight for Cinco de Mayo. It is very good. I added shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and more cheese in the tortilla wrap. Will definitely make again. Thanks!
Looks so delicious and easy, Amy! Thanks for sharing. I hope you have a wonderful week. Love, Lynn
A slight addition I would do. Don’t brown the beef, BOIL IT! It comes out to a very fine texture like TB.
When I saw you add the refried beans a light bulb went off. That is why I loved the Chilito! They didn’t just put all the ingredients in there, they blended them together so it was completely homogenous. That was by far their best menu item ever. I will try this.
I usually watch your videos in the morning when I get up. It’s a nice way for me to start the day. I know it’s just youtube but.. in the morning the sun gets up on the other side of the building so I can’t see it. I could go to the other side of the apartment and watch it rise but.. My tv is on the other side:)
I’m a vegetarian but I can still make these without meat. Seriously I binge watch these videos. Can’t get enough! I wish the domestic geek was my sister.
I think all these vegans need to chill the heck out and respect other people’s eating decisions. Thank you so much for the video:-) I’m adding this recipe to my list soon:-)
No, this is a “tostada”. When you see a fried tortilla, it’s a “tostada”.
I’m 40, and I was trying to remember when taco Bell got rid of my favorite burrito. Does anybody remember what year they got rid of it? I think I was in junior high, so early 90s?
es algun tipo de combinacion entre taco y tostada (por la tortilla frita) jajajaja XD
For those in Indiana, The Taco Bell in Westfield has them but it’s not on the menu, you have to ask for them.
I will also try this recipe, looks damn good
What if you don’t like Football? lol what would be a good excuse to make this?
I lovedddddd the chili cheese burrito from Taco Bell! The only location they have it at still is off northwest hwy in Dallas Texas…. unfortunately I’m not there anymore so I cannot WAIT to try this recipe! Thank You!
I’ll have to try this. I’ve been making these with hormel chili no beans and cheese. Great but not the same.
Just made this today and it’s my favorite soup ever I’m obsessed
The chili cheese burrito is still available at Taco Bell all throughout the midwest I have it all the time…
SO. DAMN. GOOD.
I actually subbed ground turkey, doubled the cayenne and added finely diced green bell pepper… DEFINITELY going to be making this one again soon!
Looks fantastic. Cannot wait to try making this. Hated when TB removed this and the chicken baja gordita.
Man this looks like a great fire house meal after some alarms in the cold/rain/snow. BTW every taco bell we have in the St Louis/Metro East carries the chili cheese burrito. We’re pretty lucky.
Not a big fan of onions. Are they necessary to the flavor? Because if so I can deal if I have to.
wheres the lemon in the guacamole! Geez! Your “secret” chiclie is guacamole its nothing “SPECIAL”
Dude!!! I literally just came across his recipe…. Im definitely making it now!!
I def miss this at Taco Bell, it was my favorite! I’ll be making this soon
Does anybody know why the Chilito was dropped? It seems so Beloved. I was all in until the Fritos. I try to avoid as much Salt as possible. Otherwise so many ways to do this
Damn i would marry you Bella and you can cook!! Love your videos love
hi! im mexican this tacos looks good, but dont use that horrible yellow fake chesse, change it for gouda, chihuahua or manchego chesse so much better, and that canned beans we never use it in mexican dishes, we usually cook the beans its super easy and more delicious =) you only need water salt garlic onion and epazote (epazote i think is a difficult herb to find there but its not necessary) thanks for the ideas
Fun fact! They had to change the name from Chilito to Chili Cheese burrito because “Chilito” means “Little penis” in Spanish!
I’m a new subscriber, you have great recipes, also I love your energy and editing. I would like to see recipes for homemade mustard and ketchup.
Well, sir..idk. Wife worked at TB a while ago (like when it FIRST came out), and assembly was tortilla, chili (prepacked, so beans are unknown), sprinkle of WHITE onion, cheese; into steamer OPEN for a 8-10 second cycle, out, and fold n wrap. Gonna have to try this, but to me at least..the steamer softened the tortilla just right..
I love the serving with Fritos… so fun… I just learned a trick to making the best chili is with homemade chili powder… makes a HUGE difference
If you only knew the depth of my appreciation for you doing these recipes! My son has a rare medical condition that puts him on a very strict diet, and I get ideas from you that I can use or even tweek a little. Thank you for the time you put into these videos!
Jaxx, I really want this recipe but the link to the site isn’t working for me. Maybe it’s because I’m on my iPad. I found his blog,
https://erictheredbean.wordpress.com/ but this recipe isn’t on it.
We will love this recipe, Thanks so much for sharing with us at Full Plate Thursday,444 and hope you have a great week!
Miz Helen
Like the recipe gonna try this! Tip for the tomato paste, use the can opener to open both sides of the can, take the top off one side, and push the bottom all the way through the can. You’ll get out all the tomato paste without using a spoon! It’s awesome!
The one brand of chili that I use that is SUPER close to the chili cheese burrito from Taco Bell is: Armour brand chili with no beans. It almost tastes exactly like it! Your recipe looks great as well, I will be sure to give it a shot:)
For the love of all the cheesy chilli rolled up smashing into the face goodness!
Freakin phenomenal Jaxx!!
Oh my gosh, thanks for this! I used to love the original chilitos so much. I came by from Blogger’s Pit Stop.
Jaxx… Dude… I got to try that. Man I bet my kids would love these too. I would have to add a little sour cream (Just a dollop) on top of the fritos. Yum yum. You are right, that is Gucci haha. I got to go print this one out.
I am making this tonight hoping it’s not too spicy but I am going to try it
Something tells me it that it’s much better than Taco Bell. LOL!!! Looks great bro!
Oh boy, Amy! That is one terrific cooking video you just uploaded! I do like chili very much, and your recipe sure hits the spot those of us like me who are hearty eaters. Have a great day, dear Amy!
I’m from Amarillo and our Taco Bells do have them. But You are Right they are not as good as when they first came out and where called chilitos. My son Loves Them So I will Have To Try This! Thank you for sharing. ☺
I can already see the menu of your next backpacking trip. Night one Taco bell Chilitos, night two Sante Fe Cheezy beans and rice. Faux biscuits and gravy before you head back home.
Chipotle chicken is called tinga, can also be made with beef.
Love those things! I could eat 5 of them right here right now! Gonna have to make this, thanks for sharing Jaxx!
do you have a subsitute for avocados? I’m kinda allergic to it but this looks so good, is there maybe another fruit or veggie I could use?
I’m SOOO making this today! This is the Best site for recipes ever! They actually ALL turn out delicious for me so I’m super happy. Ty so much!!!
Making it tonight for dinner. It was my staple. Very hesitant about copycat recipes. Yours looked legit. Ill let you know of the outcome. Thnx for the recipe brother
Oh, damn that looks good! Yep I’m going to be making that. Thank you JAXX!
This video is blowing up here and on Reddit! Awesome recipe! Rock On Jaxx!
Hell yeah Jaxx! You and Eric nailed this. Looking delicious.
I would love a wife like you to cook Mexican food all week. I am a Mexican cook don’t use canned vegetables use fresh!
I wish i could have beans n corn! I’m thinking Paleo taco soup, but kind of boring! Lol The corn is what makes it!
I am making this for sure on my next days off, thanks. Subscribed!
They serve those up here with the Fritos in them. They are a buck. Tots worth it. Or at least the Beefy Frito Burrito looks like that to me.
what an amazing content. thumbs up.hope u check us too n sub back..we subbed u
MMMmmmm, Looks wonderful Amy!! I could go for a bowl right now….Great recipe! Have a wonderful day!
Amy, your Taco Chili looks so delicious. I love to make meals in one pot. They are so quick and easy to put together and very tasty as well. In Spain i don´t find Ranch dressing mix, what could i use instead of it?
Have a wonderful day my friend,
Love you,
Patricia.
Hi Amy! What is versatile? I usually learn a lot one of vocabulary words at my school. I’m actually a special education student. I’m not a regular Ed student because it’s too hard and I don’t know what can I do. This Friday is seniors last day at my school so I’m graduating next year cause I’m taking language arts next year cause I’m a 1st senior year. That’s why I won’t graduate this year, I’m so sorry about that. I shall get a diploma. Anyway was you canned of corn and beans undrained? I don’t know if water could help if I would drained those canned of something. Think me and my mom, and my brother could try this recipe.
I have a spatch like that! love it! Chalito! Not enough Fritos for PAPA in it! I am sure it tasted better Jaxx! Awesome!
This reminds me of a dish that my mother used to fix when I was a young boy. I can’t remember exactly what it was called. Maybe a Taco pot pie or something similar. But it seems that maybe it had something like cornbread in it.
Anyway This Taco Chili looks delicious.
Thanks again My friend!!
I will say that it does look good, a little different maybe but none the less it looks like a good hearty bowl of chili. So far Amy I have like all your recipes that I’ve tried and I surely will give this one a try because I’m a Chili-Head:). Thumbs-Up!!
@averagebetty Well Cheetos aren’t tortilla but they do have flaming hot fritos, or, chilli cheese(but that would defeat the purpose)
Amy your taco chili looks so delicious! And I am definitely going to give this recipe a try.
Looks great Amy! I love recipes like this:) You look beautiful as always. Love & hugs
Dear Amy, your Taco Chili looks wonderful. I love dishes like this! I hope you are having a terrific day. Love you always, -Betty:)
Hi, adorable Amy. That chilli recipe looks amazing. I am amazed at how it turned out. I have a question: what’s your all time favorite pumpkin dessert? Please let me know. Have a lovely day, sweet adorable Amy. I wish you well. God bless you.:)
It’s always so much fun watching your videos Amy. You put a smile on my face each time!! And the food always looks terrific! Nice touch adding the Ranch dressing mix to the chili. I bet it was tasty!!! Have a blessed week and hope your Mom had a wonderful Mother’s Day! All my best, Troy
Thank you!! I have so missed these! This recipe is perfect.
Only if you’d like to encounter a girl with a walking taco filled with asofetida too…
very good cooking
you food look always so tasty
yummy i come for pick up your food now to eat it
Ok so i made this tonight. I used to manage a Taco Bell for 2 years back in the 90s. We had the chilito on our menu. Though this recipe is close. And good. It Never ever had refried beans in it. The way it was made was using hot bunn water and a chili seasoning pouch. Then we added the Taco meat to it until it was proper consistency. And to tortilla with cheese. I always added sour cream too. Needless to say… This recipe Still was good. But I’m not a fan of the beans. Next time I’ll do the same way but eliminate the beans and reduce the water to 1 and 1/2 cups.
Ur “special” avocado onion tomato paste is AKA guacamole. And im 14 and can make a better guacamole than that
I really wanna show you how to make “swedish” taco “i” use flat bread and meet then cheese my special homemade sauce and pineapple cucumber salad etc.:D try it out and btw roll one half down and then to more towards the middle so one open space slot is open where you start to eat:D
I did a riff on this just this morning. I used some smoked pork shoulder that I cut up into small cubes. And because I didn’t have tomato paste, I used a half a cup of salsa. Pretty darn good.
Would it still be as good without the avocado? Or can I substitute something else for it? If so, what would you recommend?
Ok, stop please!!!! this might be your kind of taco but it’s not mexican food, is not even close to any food we eat seriously this kind of “mexican food” is sad!!! looks nasty
We love spicey. Looks like a great simple recipe!
Your friends at Las Palmas
nice guacamole man… if you don´t mind here is a small tip:
squeeze a few drops of fresh lemon juice that will avoid guacamole turns brown when you store it in the fridge
love your channel
i cut like this too, stable hands and concentrate wont go wrong + a leap of faith, i even chop onions (when need extra fine since i have no blender) by looking at it from a reflection from a glass window to prevent me from tearing, so i look to the right instead of downwards at the chopping board:D
Yum! Thanks for posting. I liked and subscribed because I hope you keep posting!
You make cooking look so fun and simple! Since watching your videos,, I’ve noticed myself becoming more mindful when I’m in the kitchen and enjoying little things like chopping veggies Also your replies to comments are so classy and genuinely kind! I’ve made a few of your recipes so far. Thank you for the inspiration!!
You used pre packaged seasoning? That’s like posting a video of you preparing a microwave TV dinner? And it is def not a taco. Needs to be a soft tortilla. That was more recreating Taco Bell if you ask me…
Love the Avocado recipe, in fact I appreciate the entire video… Too bad you sound so far away from the States, I bet I can simplify your Tacos even more… If you love tacos like me, you will need to try my Taco Cookware… Makes it all so much simpler over all… Take care brother… TacoRack.com is my site… Nicolas
It’s not a Taco, It’s Frito Pie, and glad you didn’t add beans. GOOD!
where’s the fresh lemon juice for the guacamole?? it looked good though and I live in texas and this is exactly how I make my homemade tacos….I don’t care to have tacos if I can’t fine good avocados to make guacamole….I also like a small amount of sour cream too! you did good my friend:-)
Why do you concern.. believe me… and not n.n A burrito here actually is made with a tortilla de harina.. A… flour tortilla? I dont know and well under the closed minded mexican statement of taco this is fried tacos but its a TACO!! just with a fried tortilla And I know no other country tacos are like our tacos lml But hey its the same this.. this is like… a calzone n.n Is a pizza but different xD (Note:Pizza and calzone are not tacos…)
Under this statement a “burrito”, “sincronizada”, “quesadilla”, all are tacos. You never call those tacos, do you? I’m really having my concerns about you being mexican.
I cannot agree more with equintanilla, you will NEVER see a “taco” like that in México. Tortillas are meant to be soft in your taco, if it’s crunchy it’s a “tostada”, and is served in a very different way. It’s like making an hamburguer with pancakes instead of bread, get it? It’s hideous. You should come to México more often.
Men this is not a real taco, you should taste a taco in mexico. However it looks great. Greetings 😉
I swear, 6 videos ago I was really adamant about watching the video where you make hamburgers… I seem to have misplaced my conviction. Everything just looks so good! I’m moving to your house:D
I didn’t realize that GUACAMOLE without garlic was a secret, but whatever.
Actually I mexican too and this IS a taco.. Taco is anything of.. well.. corn that contain food in it.. that container is like a folded tostada… and what is a tostada?. a toasted tortilla… but well you would know.. this are tacos de carne molida with guacamole xD But anyway its very delicious and one of my favorites recepies:3
im from argentina and you my friend are a genius!!! alll the things i know about cooking its thanks to you!!!! yanina!!!:)
I have a small suggestion. I work with shrimp a lot! Grew up on the coast of NC and used to go help out at the docks when the boats came in for reduced or free shrimp. High heat, and cook less yields a much better tasting shrimp. I cook most shrimp no more than a minute to make them perfect. Oh, and yes, I have checked internal temperatures and they are safe as well. Shrimp cooked like this are never rubbery. These recipes are amazing and I can not wait to try then ALL! Thanks again.
I’d say anytime you have a party crowd to feed and want to cut down on the mess it would be fun. I grant you permission:)
Hi guys! This taco soup recipe is a great healthy dinner recipe for any time of year, but especially as we head into fall. It’s hearty, filling and delicious. I love it and I hope you do as well! Lisa xo
dear god dude! tacos are made by tortilla! please first learn how to do mexican food and the you do videos about that
We had the taco soup last night, 5 servings?????? Two adult here and a 13 year old…the pan was void of taco soup after we demolished it. We need to get to grips with being sensible in regards to portion control, though it’s your fault it was delicious and moreish!
I was just a little overly imbibed but made the best of it! thanks, it was hard in the great out doors, but I’m a tad more civil at the home kitchen studio! Cheers Sara, all the best!
Your subtle humor is not wasted on us. You make me laugh out loud sometimes.
I made this today and am nowhere near any good in the kitchen, but this was so easy to follow even i could make it.
It was a bit thin so added more corn starch to thicken but it came out great. I have never had a Taco Bell because I’m in th U.K but it did taste very similar to a KFC Zinger Burrito. (Minus the chicken).
I also mixed in red kidney beans and a bed of basmati rice in the wrap.
Delicious .
I stumbled upon one of your videos early last week. I have watched I think all of them, taken notes, wrote down recipes, purchased things I never thought I would, made many of your recipes and best of all, I lost 5 pounds since following you!! I’ve also cleaned out and organized many of my cupboards and pantry! You are so inspiring!! ❤️❤️
I’m actually planning to make tacos next month, ohhhh dinner time is about to get more delicious and flavorful!
I told my grandma I wanted her walking taco for dinner and she called the cops
Walking tacos and frito pies are not the same thing. This is not a walking taco. Not trying to sound rude.
While it looks tasty, the real Taco Bell chili cheese burrito (which the still sell by me) has no beans in it.
……..:”get a pair????””” lol. Very good. Love the added humor bits. Good job!
Parece más una tostada doblada xD
Nada que ver con los verdaderos tacos, pero buen video de todas maneras ^^
I’ve been eating this since forever but we call it Frito pie in Texas
i feel like you got high while making this… good video either way
The chili recipe looks good, except I wouldn’t put the molasses…YECCCHH!!!:P
love that you use molasses instead of sugar or brown sugar.
I LOVE SPICY TACOS!!! I put some salt on them. If i want to get crazy i bring out the ketchup.
The complete recipe is on my website there is a link in “show more”:)
Lol people not from texas thinks frito pie is new..been eating these off ice cream trucks since i was 6 yrs old
What a Beauty you Cook Good & Look good to. do you also make your own Pizza Recipe
This was a huge hit tonight! I think the molasses is what makes it. It adds a deep, rich finish that no one could put their finger on, but everyone was talking about. You’ll forgive me if I didn’t share the secret! Thanks, Sara!
It’s ok. I know how to make a Gin&Tonic. Although I prefer it with a couple of slices of organic cucumber instead of lemon. Tasty.
Even though I am from another country, but I love this food! chustvuete smell mm…
you’re a real Housewife))))*
Made this recipe today and while it was extremely easy to put together, not much flavor, kinda bland.
Worchestershire sauce is pronounced “wooster sauce”, easy!:-PPP
If you tried them first in Texas then they may have been Waco Taco.
Oups!! Amy, your memory is getting short!!! you look like me when i want to say something i see and i forget right after…oups!!! Can this recipe be taking as a main dish or its a soup only??? It looks so delicious!!! The only thing i would do, is drained the kidney beans ’cause i heard once that the liquid has a bad taste; so, for me i would drained and rinced them and instead, add some tomato juice, what do you think about that Amy??? Anyway have a wonderful day and take good care of you!
No it doesn’t. It can be but it doesn’t need to & in fact i have never had a taco that bakes the cheese. Nachos yes:D
Well, good morning!! I need to do a breakfast recipe soon:)
It does sound made up, huh? I think you could definitely do Flamin’ Hot Cheeto Pie!
You can add beans if you like! I’d get in major trouble at my house if I put beans in the chili:D
Yes this is a taco. It may not be your taco or any taco you have seen but nonetheless this is a taco:D
Great idea Sara. Although, if you eat enough of those, and drink lots of beer, you will be running. Thanks, as always, great stuff
What a great idea.. I love it!! Saves on washing up too.. brilliant!!:) x
these all look amazing. For sure I am adding the portobello mushroom and fish taco to my rotation
Oh my goodness, my life has been made ;-;
Thank you so much <3 Your work is amazing.
frito pie is a TX staple. I sell a lot of them in my restaurant. my chili is house made and really full of flavor without the extra heat from peppers. I do have a “loaded” version on the menu topped with shredded lettuce, onions, chopped tomatoes, jalapenos, and chives.
Frito pie sounds like you made this whole thing up. But since it looks good anyway, have you ever cut down the hot chilli(make it more mild) and add flaming hot?
That chili looks delicious! I haven’t had Frito pie in a really long time…need to have some again! I love Austin, TX….lived there for 7 years! Hope to move back someday!
Hello Rebecca….great recipe! My grands love when we do tacos too. Thank you for your recipe for the seasoning…I will now be doing my own ( sadly I always used the prepackaged stuff☹). I was making your peanut brittle today, turned out great by the way, and you mentioned the cookbook the recipe was in. Can you please tell me how many books you have, their titles and where I could get them…..love your channel so much and I love how you teach/show and share. Love your relaxed attitude
Its “wooster sauce”. Be the American Celebrity Chef that makes tips the balance. Beat Chef John to it. 😉
I would love to make this. Do you leave the seeds in the jalapenos? Thanks
Hot and I think I had a corn chip that was about to poke through my cheek 😉 Heehee!
I think it’s so funny that you used the word “whilst” I just had a heated conversation last night about how exactly to pronounce it! Haha! And YOU are beautiful <3
Aww shucks <3 Thank you so much:) And yes just in case of emergency: double bacon!
I love your videos! They are really teaching to to cook throughout this quarantine. You make it very simple and easy to understand. Thank you so much!
I can’t wait to try them but I know I shouldn’t watch this at night because I am hungry. Love your videos. You make cooking look so easy and fun.
Wow! Thanks Sara for the tribute to my home Country! Tacos is by far my favorite food and you are one of the few that know the real preparation!! These must be tried with corn tortilla and not flour
Beautiful Ginger with sexual innuendos in her vocabulary making one of my favorite dishes = instant Sub
These tacos are very different from the Mexican tacos, however your recipes are very funny greetings from Mexico

made the chipotle chicken tonight to get rid of leftover chicken. it was fabulous!!!!! I’d love to see more ideas of what to do with precooked chicken (i.e. that was meal prepped earlier in the week). plus, i actually had guests over…so technically i served them leftovers. I also made your easy steak fajitas and black bean salsa and @mindovermunch ‘s veggie packed guac. home run meal!
About how many tacos can you make with this amount? Loved the video!
I love the way you say “classic” it sounds so classy
(See what I did there) no, but I actually meant that you say it in a really unique way, It almost sounds a little bit British ☺️
Just viewing since subscribing… so informative and the ingredients are absolutely lovely in presentation. Inspired, looking forward to implementing these upgraded ingredients for a bowl of yumminess!

Omg, the chipotle one is called tinga and it’s legit as mexican taco recipe!!!!!!! And the meatless one is similar to one called alambre (wire), which is also legit for mexican tacos:’)
Thk you soo much I’m making this today for a Mexican birthday party
You should do a collaboration with Chief John for Food Wishes.. You both look your puns…
They all look delicious but I have one little problem… I don’t digest spicy food:( do you lose much flavor if you leave the heat out? Are there any good replacement for chillies that pack lots of flavor without the heat? Love your channel Sara Lynn! X

It seems Eric’s website is not reachable right now, thanks Marjie for the heads up!

Super Yummy! Can you do a homemade puppy meal or stew series? just got a new puppy! Puppy Love Selection for the dog lovers!
I am a chilito connoisseur. The chilito actually came from a Mexican fast chain called Zantigo. My friends and I would attack Zantigos three or four times a week. In 1986, KFC who owned the chain, was sold to PepsiCo. Since PepsiCo already had a Mexican fast food chain, Taco Bell, they decided to close the Zantigos or convert them to Taco Bells. Zantigo’s menu was way better than Taco Bell’s menu. The only Zantigo menu item that survived was the chilito. I will definitely try this recipe!!!
Dinner tonight! Thanks for sharing, I miss these at Taco Bell
esa una imitasion de las frituras mexicana
https://youtu.be/vL5sZIfs8YM
They all look delicious. The mushroom one actually looks like steak or something lol
“Cook them until they are no longer pink” I think you meant cook them until they’re no longer gray…….or cook them until they are pink.:)
Love the fact that u dont forget vegetarians out there <3! Ur vids are great!
the only thing i’ll add is heating the tortillas before putting together the tacos!
lol i thought the title was 15 DELICIOUS WAYS i was like HOW in a 7 min vid haha
anw happy anniversary!!
Here in NM, the chili recipe is way different (this is Tex Mex), and I’ve never seen the bag opened on the top. You will see these for sale at school concession stands all over the state on game day and whenever the concession stand is open for school events. It’s a real favorite, and will make your concession big money.
Gonna have to give this a try. They quit selling this at the Taco Bells in my area years ago. I also miss their Enchirito. And the big beef meximelt. Seems the like to kill all of my favorites. Thanks for taking the time to share.
I am new to this channel! I am a videographer and wanted to say that your videos are well made, with different views. Oh, and of course, I can’t wait to try the recipe!
I just made you taco soup to the T except the kidney beans. I let it simmer for 1and 1/2 hours. It is really delicious! I topped it with celery leaves, avocado and Danish blue cheese crumbles. The toppings are what I had on hand.
Thank you!
i am a new subscriber and i absolutely love your channel. Your recipes are easy and your videos are so very well explained. I have been implementing a lot of your ideas into my newly adapted eating habits. Thank you for your awesome videos. God Bless!!
A fellow avocado lover.
We had an avocado tree in the yard, growing up.
It produced these large creamy fruits… Yummy
This sounds delicious and would love try but my other half unfortunately cannot eat chillies, spice etc is there any alternative or would that change the flavour too much?
Hello
Can u please do a video on ur homemade SPICE BLENDS???
Are you psychic, Jaxx? Love Taco Bell. I just hunted down a recipe for Taco Bell’s Bean Burrito and then, you followed that recipe up with this. Definitely one I’m going to add to my repertoire!
I made this tonight for dinner. I followed the recipe exactly (except I added slightly less water for a more hearty consistency) and it was soooooo delicious! Definitely a recipe to repeat again. I also made the taco seasoning as you instructed. I will never buy the little envelope of taco seasoning again now that I know how to make it. Thanks for this!
What do you use to write on your spice jar? Does it wash off? I’m looking for something that won’t wash off. Thank you.
Ha! I thought you had something against tacos! Glad I was wrong:D
Going to make this but with out corn as corn flairs up my RA and I love corn
Can you substitute anything for the meat? Cauliflower maybe?
Hi Lisa: I recently discovered your channel and wanted to say thank you for all the great recipes and tips. I have three of the same autoimmune conditions as you, so I really appreciate your perspective on health living. I wanted to ask: why do you not eat corn tortillas? Is it just because you don’t like the taste? I’ve noticed in a bunch of your Mexican-inspired recipes you mention going either tortilla free or using cassava flour ones, but why not corn?
I don’t like green bell peppers so I gonna use red bell peppers
I made this soup for dinner tonite and just had to come here to tell you that this was a hit! I get a lil nervous when I change the recipes for the foods we eat regularly but, I am on a quest to get my family a lil healthier, so I made the recipe just as is and added in some minced garlic. I am on a medical leave right now and am working on putting together a list of healthy go to dinners that I can semiprep on Sundays and have them ready to go during the week for when I go back to work. This is on my top 10 list, I plan on cooking the beef, veggies and seasonings ahead of time then have that ready for the week. So, thank you again Ms. Lisa! The time and effort you put into these videos is so greatly appreciated❤️. I wish you lived closer, I’d assist for food! Have a blessed day
How do I get your recipe on your website am new to your site I am really enjoying your videos.
Wow look at that chilli taco it looks absolutely mouthwatering, your an amazing chef!
Sure looked good to me. Make some homemade tortillas and you would never want to go to Taco Bell. Thank you for the recipe, Jaxx
I just made this and it is DELICIOUS! I topped mine with cilantro and a squeeze of lime. Thank you for the recipe!
You are terrific! Beautiful, funny, clever and informative. Love your video’s.
Heyyy… loves this recipe… what can I swap meat with if I wanna make this a pure vegetarian dish… please do let me know, I rely wanna try this…
Thanks you saved my time I will make my own taco seasoning..
Nice kitchen BTW!!
How do you wash that cutting board, do you have a different cutting board for meat’s?
What are the servings for the seasoning? I tablespoon or it doesn’t matter? Just make sure they are equal?
I love the shrimp taco idea but is there another way to season it besides lime or lemon? my family is unable to eat citrus
Can you cook the tomatoes? Because my dad is allergic to tomatoes when they are not cooked.
Interestingly the React channel is also doing a taco feature… All this food talk is adding to my craving for it…
now all i need is a recipe for their quesadilla sauce! (creamy jalapeno) my favorite is here but my hubby loves the queso’s!
this looks so good..and over some quinoa or brown rice! making this very soon
I have some spatula’s like that. I don’t think I had ever had their Chilito, but I just started going to a Taco Bell about 2 years ago. Keep stiring it up, don’t want no stickage! That looks like a hearty. We eat a lot of chili, cheese and fritos, but more in the cold weather. Good job Jaxx!
yes, i think that would be better. but ur recipe is good (:
You need to do healthy chili and how to make your own chili mix
I love that you are representing functional minimalism and functional veganism/healthy eating. Not everybody has the resources and time to throw themselves 100% into it, but your lifestyle makes it accessible and unintimidating:)
i keep coming back to watch this video just because they look sooo good lol
Thank you for actually making your taco seasoning from scratch unlike most others who just use a package.
Can’t wait to make it. Love the way you present your recipes! Clear and easy to follow!
I use a half mushroom half ground beef mixture for my tacos, and this looks amazing!
Had to stop by to tell u I made it this week and the whole family loved it! Sadly I came back for more recipe videos but u don’t have many similar to this one where it’s a whole meal. Looking forward to more:) Thank u so much.
Im going to make this on Sunday and have a Budweiser thanks a lot!
OMG girlz tv does anyone remember that show. It was on the discovery kids channel way back one. I knew I recognized her from somewhere. She is great!

I just came acros your channel immediately a new subscriber!! I ABSOLUTELY love all that your channel stands for!! And you’re so beautiful. Very inspirational. I really love Mexican fod too, but also not a huhge fan of too much tortilla, just because it’s not the healthiest thing in the world in large quantities. Thank youf or sharing!! Yulia xx
How much of each spice when making the taco seasoning, please?
Thanks so much for sharing this its absolutely amazing Love it!
this looks great, I love all the flavors. I could eat soup every day and this is definitely a winning recipe
What your doing is great, but please, if your promoting healthy food it would be great if you used whole foods instead of canned food.
Your kitchen is so well lit! Also this recipe looks delicious.
