Hi Vishen, if you are using your phone to film these, you can tap and hold on the screen while in video mode (before you start record) which will shut off autofocus. Otherwise there should be an easy way to shut off the autofocus or look up AE/AF lock. It’ll eliminate all that camera zooming/focusing thats happening. Thanks for the episode!
Netflix, Stevia,… sounds to publicity, but those aren’t healthy neither
Great video. Always looking for ways to boost my immune system.
As a kiwi who now lives in Australia Thankyou for exposing Milo. Why shouldn’t we sue Nestle I used to buy a big tin a week for my daughters n hubby weekly. We also grew up drinking it ourselves.
I stop listen when he said he wanted the young people to listen. Jajajaj
Hey Vishen could you please make video on addiction of movies
Hi. What fantastic video information of food.
Man will only take notice almost once it’s to late!
Meat eaters die about 10 years earlier than non meat eaters……
Meat eaters have about 13% LESS testosterone
Meat eaters are stuck in 1972 and will suffer the consequences
…………and if you’re just going to invite people on so they can push their own agenda which isn’t backed by good science… well, no point in staying subscribed to this channel… buh bye!
Please tell me what that plate you are using is on your stove? If looks far more versatile than an cast iron pan. I really like your videos, they are a joy to watch.
Rice is great make sure it is brown rice not refined white rice
We should eat red meat. That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
CitrusΒ fruits.
Red bell peppers.
Broccoli.
Garlic.
Ginger.
Spinach.
Yogurt.
Almonds.
Thing is here, if the beef was compared to other plant they would look far healthier.
These are the most packed saturated ones on the market for the imitation I’d say.
But to me, besides the sodium (which again could be the same, or worse in the beef depending how that’s done), I still think the plant ones fair better all considering
I must have been living under a rock because I hadn’t heard of these!! Quorn is really popular in the UK. Do you have any stats on that? We love it because as much as home made burgers are healthy, having something in the freezer we can just throw in the oven after a busy day at work is so much easier. I guess I could batch cook and freeze the black bean burgers though
Your channel is amazing thank you so much for breaking things down and educating us all
Thanks for the info! I hope you didn’t forget the soy video. I don’t know if it’s good eating textured soy protein. Looking forward to it!
I imagine you also often put salt on an animal patty before putting it in a burger, it you do that, maybe the salt level will be about the same as beyond/impossible.
Your videos are incredible!! So much great information to really help people eat and live better!:)
Lol, seriously most of our fast food consists… out of plants, bagels, croissants, deep fried chips and fries. Even if your replace it the oil with plant sources it is way to fatty and contains too many empty calories. Why do you think a good nutritionist propose WHOLEFOOD not processed crap. Yes the imitation meat is a good direction for a better planet but for your health it is still make it your self foods which beats anything.
I heard that the impossible/beyond burger have loads of estrogen in them which can lead to gynecomastia… Is there any truth to this?
Thank you for allowing me to share your video on my blog. I am still working on it. I will let you know once it is ready. Thanks.
I like your Videos, thank you so much for this. A video about antibiotics on meat would be so nice from you!!! Keep up the good work ( 2 Tipps for the video: Use a simple Jingle or something that gets your trademark, maybe some easy jazz stuff or something would match you at the beginning and ending. ( just an advice because i think the music dont fit your intellect or style ) And are you using a greenscreen with a picture of your room?:D I liked the videos with the art in the background! Wish you all the best!!! ( pls don’t overrate my opinion, its just what i felt ) Ps: I really like your sense of humor…but this music, make my ears bleed
I don’t get it… saturated fats are bad for you, in this burger around 7g still zero grams cholesterol
How comes? Wasn’t cholesterol made from saturated fats?
Maybe I’m confused
I’d really appreciate if you could explain or point me to where I can get more info
Great stuff Gil. I think in the comparison with animal meat you didn’t stress the empathy for the animals themselves, which was my main reason for going to, not only a vegan diet, but a vegan lifestyle meaning no leather, etc. Lets see how long we stay out of prison in this country if we raise and slaughter cats and dogs in industrial (heartless and cruel…dairy industry too) farms. I think the shift in conscienceness and the resultant good it would engender in this world is THE greatest benefit of all. ” As long as there are slaughterhouses, there wil be wars” Leo Tolstoy.
I’m binge-watching your videos at the moment.:-)
I just have a minor point of critique (which might be a bit subjective): presentation-wise you got your priorities wrong I’d rather have very good (or at least good) audio and I can totally do without the nice background, green-screen, whatever stuff. Your content is about information (transported by audio, not video), so please reconsider the prioritization of effort.
Personally, as a vegan, I wasn’t excited about these burgers because they are “healthy”, quite the contrary, I was excited to be able to have junk food like burgers again. lol
Never trusted any processed food whether it’s plant based meat based or whatever name you wish to give. Humans food touches are not to be trusted to also find your taste back to what you were previously eating hmmmm for some reasons you are missing that taste and might fall a step back discover new taste new meals spend more time in your kitchen you’ll see it’s fun!

you eat plant’s i live better thank you
So are you telling me that there is no industrial burger that I can feast on everyday while staying absolutely healthy? How outrageous.
This was an amazing video, very well put together, entertaining, and informative. I really appreciate it. I would really appreciate if you made another video, if you would include the wild game aspect. They are a lot of people that either Hunt or eat meat from people who hunt as well as now finally organic farms, which as well as I know very few were actually organic. But the wild game aspect really does change the nutritional content of meat, Not saying there’s not a negative, just a thought.
This is a good informative comparison!
Can you do a video on autoimmune diseases? I’ve heard stuff about how veganism can cause hashimotos and other autoimmune diseases and I’ve been vegan for 2.5 years and would love to prevent that however possible. And I’ve heard people tend to combat these diseases with keto which I don’t think I could ever bring myself to do
I think the Impossible and Beyond Meat burgers are only attractive only in terms of environmental or animal “cruelty” concerns.
If meat is so terrible and so gross why are we trying to make everything taste and look like meat.

It takes more energy to process the GMO base of this product than to feed Bessy in the pasture..oh and up to 28 grams of fat per burger
Excellent video. I felt you were transparent and non biased with your focus being nutritional education.
I can make fake cheese that tastes like real cheese. In my own kitchen.
I just don’t understand this fear of saturated fat. I’d like to prevent Alzheimer’s and have no desire to eliminate saturated fat from my diet, thanks. Curious, does Dr. Barnard recommend anti-Amyloid drugs fro Alzheimer’s disease? If so, I wouldn’t just walk out, I’d run away at all speed. Cholesterol is one of the most important things our bodies produce and no, our bodies aren’t trying to kill us.
No one is stupid enough to eat these products “for health”. What are you basing that assumption on?
I might be weird, but I actually like the taste of bean burgers even better.
Dear Sir,
English is not my first language, so I might have misheard you.
At 4:05 is it:
“About half to a gram” of trans fats
“About half to a milligram”?
It says 0.6 0.9 mg in the table.
Thanks for your explanations.
One thing he did not mention about fake meats non of the nutrients can be absorbed by the human body.
overall not eating meat is clearly the healthier way to go. i’d eat a vegan burger every blue moon and mostly veggies and grains.
So I am going to tell you my story. I am 44 years old and I had high cholesterol, high triglycerides, IBS, high blood pressure and taking meds, pre diabetes, and ED. I stopped eating meat, eggs, and milk. I eat a lot of these fake meats and now all of my top ailments are gone and now it is perfect. So I can tell you that it is healthier than meat. Oh and still eat cheese so that is the only dairy I eat.
Violife cheese is delicious. I like the smoked provolone the best. I full on agree with the black bean burger-for so many reasons, one of which is to continue supporting the smaller companies who have been making vegan and vegetarian foods for decades already. Well said! And thank you for the video.
Quality beef, 100% natural, healthy highly nutritional, imitation burger, highly processed poisonous oestrogenic omega 6 peasant slop.
Heme iron, hormones and antibiotics in meat are a huge issue that you can’t just casually pass over. Studies show that heme iron from meat increases risk of stroke, type II diabetes, coronary heart disease, etc… https://nutritionfacts.org/2017/06/15/plant-versus-animal-iron/ Factory farms are driving the growth of antibiotic-resistant organisms that cause human diseases. https://nutritionfacts.org/2016/03/10/antibiotic-resistant-superbugs-in-meat/ In other words disease risk is improved.
but did a sentient being die making the beyond and impossible meat? and 2nd nobody will eat beyond or impossible meat 3 times a day, my familly eats meat, eggs, milk, cheese 3 times a day….
the plant vs stuff is bs its based on organic veg vs conventional beef the second ya start to look at shipping and processing the numbers flip not to mention much of the food must be shipped across the country most of the year and some of it has traveled further than you will in a life time the whole mcvegan is all about processed goo waste products industry gets to convince the fda is food then bill gates throws billions of dollars to tell ya how great it is lol bs
Since the imitations use canola oil which can have trace amounts of trans fats from the extraction process as canola is highly volatile, the actual value would be more like <0.5mg for the mock meats
One thing that wasn’t mentioned was casein, animal protein, and the links to cancer. Dr. T. Colin Campbell talks about his concrete findings on turning on and off cancer cells with the amounts of animal protein. Referring to the comparison of eating 5% to 20%. Casein is the main protein found in milk. Similar to other animal proteins, casein is a complete protein, providing generous amounts of essential amino acids. None is obviously best and all these processed burgers are still processed. Not good to eat seems to be the conclusion. Eat whole foods. Thanks for this video and the great comparison. Come on Black bean burgers for health!
Cholesterol is not a problem,, aren’t you reading the research?
One of the not so commonly ocurring sane voices here on YouTube (or all media outlets for that matter). Thanks!
Soo the take away IS stop tottally 110% needlessly slaughtering and eating Subjecive beings and eat WFPB beans…. Got it
Lol if anyone is getting a burger to be healthy they need to rethink their thought process. Of course none of these are healthy. I never thought of health when eating these. It was only about reducing env impact and animal suffering
Is the sodium comparison apples to apples though? Are people really not going to add salt to their beef burgers? I can’t imagine the typical burger eaters to be so health conscious and not season their burgers. People’s taste buds are accustomed to a certain level of saltiness. When the ingredients don’t come pre-seasoned, they’ll add it themselves.
What about IGF-1? Insulin like growth factor one promotes cancer growth and is not found in plant based burgers.
I just had my first Beyond Burger tonight and I must say it was very good. I don’t eat red meat I usually eat just chicken but lately I’ve been eating Don Lee Farms veggie burgers I get from Costco but now I look and see that have 380 mg of sodium. I was thinking that this is a healthier choice than chicken but now I’m beginning to wonder. Anyway great video appreciate all the information. Thanks again
Moms across America sent the Beyond burger out for testing. Of course its GMO soy and tested positive for glyphosate. No thank you.
Great video, I still like to have a beyond burger once every few months. Transitioning to a vegan diet I think these are great foods to fill a void until you are on the Whole Foods Plant Based track.
why do you have to throw your hands in the air all the time?
Both of are great fantastic fabulous delicious marbles delicious
Lmao.. lab grown fake meat.. if you want to be a vegetarian or vegan just eat fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans, soy, etc.
I don’t think the point about sodium is very accurate. You’re talking about the amount of sodium on unprepared beef burgers, I made a quick search and I found out that prepared beef burgers averages 380mg of sodium which is almost the same as plant-based burgers.
“in Hamburgers. The average fast food single-patty plain hamburger contains 378 milligrams of sodium. That’s 16 percent of the daily 2,300-milligram”
limit” https://healthyeating.sfgate.com/much-sodium-average-hamburger-7064.html
And we have to understand that the composition of plant-based burgers are always improving including their nutritional profiles, beyond burgers from 10 years ago fared much worse. 5 years from now we will probably see a lot of improvements on the plant-based burger industry whilst the meat burgers will be the exact same thing.

I also think the point about antibiotics should have much more emphasis:
“On a global scale, the U.S. and China are the largest users of antibiotics for food production. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), 80 percent of the total antibiotic use in the U.S. is in agriculture, with pigs and poultry receiving five to 10 times more antibiotics than cows and sheep.”
“Antibiotic resistance is a global public health crisis. In this Spotlight feature, we look at the use of antibiotics in animals and its consequences for human health, covering research presented recently at the London Microbiome Meeting.”
“According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), antibiotic resistance is responsible for 25,000 annual deaths in the European Union and 23,000 annual deaths in the U.S. As many as 2 million U.S. individuals develop a drug-resistant infection each year.”
“By the year 2050, some researchers predict that antibiotic resistance will cause 10 million deaths every year, surpassing cancer as the leading cause of mortality worldwide”

The high volume of antibiotics in food-producing animals contributes to the development of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria, particularly in settings of intensive animal production. In some countries, the total amount of antibiotics used in animals is 4 times larger than the amount used in humans. In many countries much of the antibiotics used in animals are for growth promotion and prevention of disease, not to treat sick animals.”
“These bacteria can be transmitted from animals to humans via direct contact between animals and humans, or through the food chain and the environment. Antimicrobial-resistant infections in humans can cause longer illnesses, increased frequency of hospitalization, and treatment failures that can result in death.
Some types of bacteria that cause serious infections in humans have already developed resistance to most or all of the available treatments and we are running out of treatment options for some types of infection. Bioaccumulation of pesticides in meat:

So when you order the impossible burger or beyond meat burger at a restaurant they serve just the patty? Wouldn’t you also get it with a bun, condiments, and sauces that would also raise the sodium levels?
Beyond is the best! since impossible dont sell outside US. And I thought that Capitalist companies all about making profit and conquering new markets..
Anyway, since I went plant based, I need to sleep like 6.5 hours, before I slept about 8.5.. is it a health risk of plant based diet? sleeping less than 8 hours is not good for you..
1g of sodium is skyrocking? In Germany most people would considere that very little.
I’m not a big fan of processed veg food, but honestly once or twice a year I would love to eat one of these burgers.
I’m looking forward for the soy video!
Love your videos!!! Very informative always. Can’t wait for the Soy video.
Also, can you make a video on how nitrates from greens can bind with the hemoglobins in our bodies and what cause of side effects may occur?
I was working in a company which is now developing a lot of vegan products and to be fair I will not put a single piece of crap in my mount. It’s mixed powders, oil( the type of oil depends on the price, if it’s expensive it will be coconut oil, because it can imitate the look of the real fat of the real burger,) and water mixed together and if they want the burger to have more structure the add soy granulate. The price on which afterwards the products are selling are way to high, because I know how cheap it actually is.
Great video. Excited for soy video. A topic ive been looking into.
As always funny and informative. You can always get a “Bro” for your man boobs.
Very well done, thanks.
As a veg’ my (all things considered) go-to burger is Morning Star Farms ‘veggie’ burger. For the last 20 years, a better ‘stack-up’ in the categories you’ve outlined but does contain soy and is relatively heavy on sodium a non-issue for me.
Was going to comment on not mentioning the delicious black bean burgers and then there it was!:-)
I hate that he is walking on a treadmill. It prevented me from sharing the video it’s so annoying.
Excellent video again, a great mix of science and sense! In designing any product everything is a tradeoff. If the main concern is to leave consumers with the view that the non-meat burgers look/smell/taste/etc. just like meat then other things like nutrition will receive less emphasis and will almost certainly suffer. Something like a black bean burger doesn’t really try to mimic meat so the nutritional elements can shine. Just like a remake of an iconic song is never as good as the original, it makes sense to me to not try to replicate meat with meatish things…simply go explore the wide range of great new tastes and nutrition that are plant-based.
Great work!!! I had a ton of questions and concerns after watching ‘Game Changers’ & ‘What the Health,’ and the more I dug for answers the more I got confused (way too much contradicting information out there). I happened to chance on your video regarding Game Changers and I loved the no frills, fact based, research backed approach and have been watching a lot of your videos for answers. You’re making a difference! Thank You!!! Now can’t wait for your soy video and then maybe I can start enjoying some cereal again or not
Bullshit!! Coconut oil lowers ldl!!!
Dietary B12 is not absorbed.
It is produced by bacteria in the gut.!!!
As i focus on cutting down processed food it doesn’t make sense for me to replace meet with something with such a long ingredient list. And in addition i am always sceptic when something tastes like something that it is not. I want my food to taste as natural as possible
Surely no one actually thinks switching out one burger for another is healthy
The impossible burger contains 44mg of estrogen.
When “men” want to transition into mentally ill females, the dosage of estrogen given is up to 10mg per day.
The impossible burger contains more than 4x the amount of estrogen needed to transition “men” into “women”.
I can’t wait for that soy video, I recently stopped drinking cow’s milk (I use it everyday in smoothies) and I’ve started using soy milk instead after a little research
Just love how you emphasise on not forcing eating choices on people and not expecting people to be absolutely disciplined but rather conveying facts and suggesting a logical and an effective approach.
I could listen to you all day long. Keep making such videos. You’re doing really great and my best wishes to you for all your endeavours and life in general.
Wait what? @ 10:05 You live in Japan? (forgive me if I should know this already but I haven’t been following for that long) I will be out there this coming March/April. Would be awesome to run into you and have a friendly chat about this kinda stuff!
They are treat foods to eat every once in a while. WFP is the way to go most if not all of the time.
There’s an audio issue with this video. The right side is distorted, had to watch the video with only my left headphone on.
Great video again. Love how how you back all your claims with peer-reviewed science and that you are delivering backed-up facts and not “truths”.
I must be living under a rock because I didn’t know anything about these burgers.
Your American bro is good, but a little too well-spoken and respectful. Dig it though. π
Did you say “fat loss burger” or “phallus burger”? Isn’t phallus burger just a hot dog?
Dude I have been so confused
Saw you do that Chad voice and thought that was your actual accent. It’s so good that I didn’t know which one was real
Love the Jamie Oliver voice the most, had me cracking up when you did the chicken upside down again
Man that was really really thoroughly awesome you’re such a vegan hero! Love your work man and I know that you put a ton of work into this because I’ve been busting my ass trying to do similar things and you’re like light years ahead of me! But that’s okay because it allows me to focus on doing other things that are more my forte rather than trying to emulate what you’re doing:-)
If you sous vide your lean patties you’ll never complain about dryness again.
Lol so weird listening to you without your accent. Wheres chad from tho?
When hungry jacks has ads of burgers in between the video.. Pretty sure we wanna see zacs burger that’s why we are here
When he said “Oil them Bitches” that is when I fell out my chair laughing. Damn I love Zac’s Videos. Best advice and tips around and with lots of laughs.
thank you so much man! if you ever get a chance to go to denmark, VISIT ME!
#MASSIVEFAM
I cannot stress this enough… I.. fucking cried at not only your Jamie Oliver voice but when you put it to your ear and said sounds good had me in bloody stitches
I was very confused when the guys with the yellow tank came in…. who is he
I always assemble my burger buns the wrong way too hahahahaha
In your next video could you talk about, if your cutting soy, dairy and gluten out, what is a good diet for that cheers?
Should I eat normal and do cardio 5x a week as well as bicep and triceps on Monday and Tuesday then legs on Wednesday and Thursday then chest Friday Saturday rest Sunday and then abs every day? Help needed I’m 14 160 body fat 35
Another note for toasting the bunsβyou can actually toast them dry under the oven broiler which cuts out the calories from the mayo when browning them on the griddle. It actually gives you a more even toast than you get on the griddle, too.
omg the chad voice how do u do an american accent so well lmao
F*%k those buns sound good bro! LOL! Ps Wade ain’t eating no burgers without a monster to chase it down with hahaha!
Are these slider brioche buns? Because a normal sized brioche bun has 280 to 300 calories. So that would make 80g of chicken, oil, perinaise, cheese all under 80-100 calories.
Never realized us Americans sounded so droll And I’m not sure if it was intended but that was a spot on Jaime Oliver
Please stop using gloves, it’s so contaminating!!! if you’re so disgusted to touch try not eating them (at least please do something vegan for us to see as well). NO HATE JUST OBSERVATION
I was confused when he said “we will get chad to make the other ones”
Fucking killed me when that american dude came out, had to hide my gf and protein powder
With guns like those and you still need a spotter for the pepper
looks so delis damn. I’m making some good cheat meals myself too, always feeling good to eat some every once in a while. Btw I’ve tried this product with my supplements and it worked pretty well. https://reviewbykeng.com/blog-2-odd-5-sec-water-hack-crushes-food-cravings-and-melts-fat/. Has anyone tried it yet?
I hear that Paul Russel in the background. I see you Zac
How the fuck does Zac not have 1 million subscribers yet, wtffff??????
Actually screamed multiple times during the Jamie Oliver segment, too funny!!!
Bro, you’re crazy. But great recipe. Keep going like thatβ
Holy fucking shit mate your American accent is on point bro when it changed up i thought you were lowkey and american
Did the King just say “plug ya arteries burger” Ha I was out lmao!
Please bhai make a videos for weight gain bulking diet plan cooking recipes
When you said set a timer for 6 minutes you actually turned my Siri on
Why does zac look exactly like Jamie Oliver at the end of the video. Ik Jamie’s bigger, but, still.
Wonder which one Mic the Vegan thinks is healthier? At the edge of my seat, excited to listen to another dummy standing stupid pile of studies. Eat a handful of mushrooms and find out how much you don’t know
The Impossible burger is laced with crack because I can’t stop eating it
Keep up the good work, but it is “fewer” animals, not “less” animals.
Awesome! Please do a follow up comparing a Beyond Meat burger to a cow muscle burger.
There’s 18 million times more estrogen in an impossible burger…
Those meat substitutes contain soybeans which increase estrogen(a HORMONE) in people so yes it has hormones like beef.
Do you ever make comparisons with 100% grass fed beef or pasture raised proteins? I keep reading different things in terms of health. I’m at a point where I don’t know what to eat anymore. Not sure if I should go vegan or keto, paleo?!?! I’m trying really trying to do my research in choosing a healthy diet. I keep reading that foods with few ingredients but a lot of vegan foods have a lot of of them like egg substitutes or cheese substitutes. Why has food gotten so complicated?!?! from my research, pasture raised beef is really healthy and a lot of studies that support the vegan diet use feedlot beef for their studies which is not totally valid. Thoughts?!?!
Can you make a review on Gardein products?
I just heard about them through a friend and they seem pretty good
Vegan burgers aren’t going to have heme iron, neu5gc, heterocyclic amines, or igf-1 which can promote diseases like cancer. And even though it does have coconut oil which contains saturated fat, it’s been proven that animal fat from meat and dairy is actually worse. So in that respect, I will say it’s at least some what healthier.
Its fine to consume as a treat once in a blue moon…I only wish they’d bring this to burger kings in Alberta already! Dying to try it.
TOTALLY BEGGING YOU TO DO A VIDEO ON THE WHOLE “VEGANS ARE PRONE TO HEMORRHAGING STROKES MORE THAN OTHERS”
Awesome Ethan! I’d love you to do a take on
Pizza
Lasagna
Pasta and meatballs
That’s a kick off point because most people enjoy those foods!
Great, but the impossible burger isn’t vegan as its tested on animals.. how is no one picking up on this?
I loved the Linda mccartney ‘burger’ when I was a vegan. I just compared it now to a real beef burger and legit felt sick after the first mouthful of the vegan burger. The vegan burger was dry in appearance, no juiceness. No pun intended but the vegan burger literally looked DEAD, I couldn’t wait to wash it down with a glass of raw milk. The beef burger on the other hand:D
I say, for an occasional burger it’s not a big deal if your diet is mostly WFPB. I mean, you don’t usually eat a burger for health anyway amirite?
The impossible burger tastes disgusting. But then, so does beef. I choose neither.
Thanks, Mic! I just want to point out that if the impossible burger is made of soy, then it does contain phytoestrogens, which can have an effect on the human body. That’s one reason why people are wary of soy, right? So, the Impossible Burger is not necessarily free of hormones?
Nice video, check out my Rescue Dogs Impossible Burger Challenge video. I recorded her choosing her favorite!
This guy is pathetic! He’s comparing two products and when the product he obviously favors comes up short he compares it to something worse, like sodium in soup.
lol, love how you say ground up cow muscle to make people feel bad:P it isn’t working.
To be as thin as Mic the Vegan is to be on a whole food vegan diet, so I’m trying it since I’m not quite thin yet, in the hope that I’m eating health foods, so I say thank you to Mic the Vegan.
They both are Dr.Frankenstein’s monster burgers made of sh!t beyond your imagination. You talking like you “REALLY KNOW” about these things.I would not eat any of that sh!t.
Hey Mic what I like about you is your stand on whole food!
Isn’t everything that is alive going to die? Do I want less of a thing to die that is inevitably going to die? I’m on the fence.
I find it interesting the you did not mention that all the soy products in the burger are from GMO Soy therefore being extremely high in Glyphosate (round up) as well as obviously being genetically modified. That has to be healthy???
The thing I don’t get is. Who are theses burgers really for. Your basic long term vegan does not really care if the food tastes like real meat because they probably don’t remember it or never had it. New starting out vegans may try and like them but it isn’t suitable to only eat these burgers and still be healthy. Meaning if the are only doing it because it tastes like meat they are still unwilling to eat actual healthy vegan foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables. And when they do become malnourished they blame veganism in general instead of blaming the fact all they ate was this burger. And meat lovers are not going to bother.
Yes, the impossible burger wins, but how am I going to get the important nutrition from bovine feces?
The fake burger was made by a company with 7th day adventists ties… you folks in the vegan community need to distance yourselves from the church… unless you’re funded by the church… In that case carry on π
Seems you’re doing the good work of the church of the 7th day adventists https://youtu.be/FTe-eitOJGA
30 and more random chemicals is healthier than real meat lol lol lol
Lovin your channel and binge watching you for days now. Greetings from Germany
Speaking as a vegan myself, I have changed my mind on “meat substitutes” such as the ‘Impossible Whopper’…and ‘veggie burgers’ in general. I used to consume them every day…even multiple times a day. Then……..I read the ingredients a bit closer, and realized that they have a heck of a lot of OIL in them, which is not the greatest thing for a human to eat. Now, I view meat substitutes in much the same way as Methadone is used for folks trying to ‘get off’ of hard drugs: veggie burgers are fine for that ‘buffering’ time in between eating rotting animal corpses & a true, plant based vegan lifestyle, but, IMHO, they should not be eaten in the long term. Will I still consume meat substitutes? Yes….once in a while. My two boys, and my Grandson, still (sigh…….) eat the flesh of rotting animal corpses, so when I go out with them to BK, I’ll get an “Impossible Whopper”.
Burger King’s ‘Impossible Burger’ Has Massive 44mg of Phytogestrogen Compared to Regular Burger’s 2.5ng of Estrogen
Burger King’s Impossible Burger may cause men to grow breasts if eaten in sufficient quantity.
I think we can all agree that mock meats are not ment to be health foods, but should be seen as much safer cruelty free options that we so desperately need. It’s certainly a step in a better direction and a tremendous tool for helping those transitioning to a vegan diet. Obviously whole foods will be better for us but I am certainly not going to hate on progress.
Makes me happy to see Burger King, Carls Jr and Del Taco all jumping on the alternative meat wagon!
I’m sticking to my whole organic local farm sourced veggies thank you very much. Not a fan of processed food of any sort even if it is plant based.
Do you have a video about “Just Eggs”? It would be interesting to compare it to eggs.
I tried it and yes they are good, but I am glad at these types of comparisons. Thank you
I’m new to plant based food. Just started transitioning last November. I tried the Impossible Whopper without cheese a few weeks ago. It was really good but I didn’t know it came smothered in mayo which is not so good. This video is eye opening to just how little nutrition I was getting on a meat based diet. No wonder I was feeling sick. So glad I’ve been making the change to plant based!
Most long time vegans realise that fresh from scratch food makes you feel good so eating these kind of foods can make you feel a bit icky in comparison. But great to have the choice there
the impossible burger is made with GMO soy and contains glyphosate (roundup)
Coconut oil and butter LDL study the page does not exist. Please fix it
I think I missed something: A natural product made by nature (assuming a grass-fed, organic beef cow) is less healthy than something made in a factory? Eh? I don’t get it.
I know this much if I eat a burger made of beef or if I eat a burger called an impossible Burger the equally make me feel the same heavy bloated in the jested with too much grease in my stomach and a slight Touch of heartburn raw vegetables raw fruit I feel great energetic and I can eat a little more of it later on with no problems
The soy grown in the U.S. is GMO. The estrogen contained in this garbage food will decrease testosterone in males. No thank you.
Im vegan but I gotta say I had an impossible burger from fatburger and it ruined my entire day and night. They are both bad for you. Ill be sticking to beyond meat instead I find that way better overall.
Never bought Impossible Burger.
BLACK BEAN, CHICKPEA,LENTIL,
Is my thing.
and if I was not allergic to SOY, it’s still SCARY LOOKING!
Love you Mic!
This is a bit misleading video, but I do appreciate the content.
First off, as a meatatarian, I do appreciate what is being done with the Beyond Meat and Impossible formats. I hope one day we can eat plant based foods that do give us the health benefits of eating meat. Ironically, despite eating meat, if I could eat plants that offered the same nutrition as meat, at the same price, I would pick the plants because I do think that animals should be allowed to live happily (though that’s not necessarily an ethical thing as many animals kill/eat other animals as well).
But this is definitely a vegan channel as the areas in which the vegan burger lost to the meat burger, great care was taken to defend that (as with the sodium, which btw is NOT unhealthy). But, there were issues with things like saying a beef burger has trans fats beef has 0 trans fats as this does not exist in nature. Pre-made/processed/frozen burgers may have this however, but so do most vegetarian burgers. Compare this to real beef please.
As for heme iron, it’s one of the big advantages to eating meat that a vegan based lifestyle can lack as heme iron is essential for proper health. As for the cancer argument, that’s an old argument based on incorrect data and flawed studies. It’s been shown you would have to eat ginourmous amounts of incorrectly cooked meat to increase cancer risk and even then the numbers are read incorrectly. Studies may claim a 20% increase in cancer if you eat this amount of meat, and misinformed vegans/vegetarians will believe that would mean that if 1/100 people get cancer eating veggies, then 21/100 would get cancer eating meat this is incorrect. In fact, that would mean 1.2/100 people would get cancer. Watch the Youtube channel “What I’ve Learned” or “BioLayne” for more on this stuff.
And, far, FAR more humans get sick or die of food borne illness each year from vegetables than meat. Most food recalls are for vegetables each year (by a long shot) than for meat.
But again, with all this said, I am happy to see these options available.
“A.k.a. ground up cow muscle” aaaand that’s when I stopped watching. God damn you’re unfunny. You’re not making us feel guilty, you just make us associate veganism with douchey self righteous hipsters. Even more, I mean.
Send this to Joe Rogan. He said The Impossible Burger can cause liver failure
The impossible whopper is so much like meat to me I sometimes worry if I actually was given meat until I look back at the special plastic wrapping
Hey Mic,
When you get a chance can you do a video about the collagen hype? Is it just all hype? My guess is going to be yes????
Impossible burger 2.0: Water, Soy Protein Concentrate, Coconut Oil, Sunflower Oil, Natural Flavors, 2% or less of: Potato Protein, Methylcellulose, Yeast Extract, Cultured Dextrose, Food Starch Modified, Soy Leghemoglobin, Salt, Soy Protein Isolate, Mixed Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Zinc Gluconate, Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1), Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Niacin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Vitamin B12.
Beef burger: Beef.
Yeah, sure. The first one must be healthier Mic. I’ve lost hope for humanity.
Really? You dare say that a “burger”made with CHEMICALS is better then just a slab of meat? You have really lost your marbles here!
Joe Rogan is trashing Andrew Yang for suggesting everybody to eat vegetable and get rid of animal agriculture. @t
Use your popularity to endorse Andrew Yang and come to his defense. you shall get millions of hits from the yangang.
im thankful for this community, vegans get bashed so much and it makes me sad how so many nonvegans are highly misinformed nor want to even consider trying vegan because “it’s so bad omg”. okay well, go eat your mcdonalds and imma go munch on my veggies. thank you.
The one thing that puts many people off veganism is that many of us are so self-righteous about it and act as if we were superior to other people. I am a vegan but I do not try to “convert” others, it is a choice. Many people like you are acting in the same way as the religious zealots. You are claiming the higher moral ground. Veganism is not a religion. Stop making us a disfavour. People who eat red meat are less healthy but people who eat no meat at all are also less healthy. I am a vegan by choice but I understand the risks I am taking. Speak to all doctors and researchers. Shame on you. Horrible videos.
I’m not a vegetarian or vegan but I did try these items and I have to say… neither plant based product wow-ed me. Anything tastes great if seasoned properly. I’m talking consistency and such. Thank you for showing people that nutritionally they weren’t much different than meat. I know too many “vegans” that swear the plant-based meats are so much better. No one believes a carnivore though. Lol
funny how every time the impossible burger loses he goes into the weeds to make it win
We so appreciate you Mic the Vegan! Why would you walk up and kill a living thing just chillin if you dont have to?? eating meat nowadays is just barbaric and prehistoric. I have never heard of a doctor telling someone that is sick with disease to eat more meat and milk. Keep up the great work! Vegan for Life!
LDL is correlated with decreased mortality. There is no health risk in LDL. Stop destroying your arteries with carbs and the cholesterol wont need to go fix it.
Both bad junk foods but at least with veagan burger no animals suffer
You’re awesome thank you so much for the analysis! Super helpful!!
I guess…the 298 dislike for this blog…are solely meat eaters…
You are NOT VEGAN if you:
BUY items tested on animals
USE/INGEST items tested on animals
PROMOTE items tested on animals.
Impossible burger tested on animals therefore it cannot possibly ever be vegan. Mic is promoting it and he is not vegan; he’s an apologist who probably wants better welfare for animals in cages instead of opposing them being in cages at all.
Piss off, mick. Stop being an apologist.
Tried it. Not healthy vegan food, but great for carnivores looking to eat less animal…
Well, these are great news for people who go vegan and need meat taste in their life. I remember when it came to the market, and I read ingredients, I was concerned due it to be basically pea powder mixed with coconut oil… For me, a 20 years vegan it tastes terrible. I had it once because somebody wanted to make me food surprise, and I felt bad to reject the meal somebody prepped especially for me, and bite after bite it did taste worse for me… ugh. So fatty oily and terrible in texture. It maybe just me not eating meat 20 years, haha, but honestly, I have no idea why whoever would like to eat it… Bean burgers are way better imo, and they can be oil free:)
The impossible burger is vegan junk food no different than french fries and Coca-Cola. You can say it doesn’t have hormones but it’s not quite honest because processed soy is notorious for an unhealthy, unbalanced, fiber free, assortment of phytoestrogens.
The likely reason that beef varies so much in protein is that it varies so much in fatless that more protein, more fat less protein.
The only reason they’re not selling much healthier and probably much better tasting marinated tofu and tempeh instead of the impossible burger, is branding and they can’t patent and exploit those foods nearly as effectively. It’s all about corporate profit.
This kind of high oil vegetarian junk food has a very poor track record for its impact on health. This stuff is super high on omega-6 fatty acids, and void of omega-3s. We can’t forget that often people who are on this kind of vegetarian junk food diet would be far better off health wise on a Mediterranean diet that isn’t even vegetarian because at least it has some omega-3s plus raw ALA. To really promote veganism, you have to promote a diet that people are actually going to see results from. And they can’t use very much of this kind of food. It must be made absolutely clear that this is junk food, not a center of a diet. If it helps people in the interim get off of meat and on to a whole plant-based diet that’s one thing.
Been plant based since 2003 so I want to believe in this product, but how do you not address the issue of estrogen in the Impossible? There have been some ominous claims made by some in the Food industry about this and while I’m not saying they are correct, it’s worthy of mentioning if only to alleviate the concerns of potential consumers, particularly men.
What are you? Insane?
You are comparing a chemichl waste with a natural product?
i mosty eat a vegetarian diet, barely eat meat and don’t like beef. impossible burger is a joke, can make better “meatier” meals than that.
“fat is bad”
“cholesterol is bad”
“carbs are good”
No wonder you look like you died three days ago
Imagine thinking eating animals is bad. have you heard of the eskimos?
Hey Mic! Video suggestioncould you do a video on liver flushes? More specifically, Andreas Moritz’ liver and gallbladder flush. I personally find it very interesting and I think others will as well
Ok…..
Great for all the claimed “wins”, but is your body absorbing all of these nutrients out of its natural state? Many studies about that not brought up here at all. A beef burger is way more of a whole food than ground up plant protein.
Otherwise hey, why don’t we stop eating actual foods and just pop supplements instead? If that’s what this “contest” is about…
Processed plants are super unhealthy. Eat foods the way nature intended: whole.
The rise of veganism is the biggest reason we have all these frankenfoods our bodies cannot process, great job guys!
Vegans are participating in a big science experiment of which they don’t know the outcome. I’m really really scared of the toll these trends are going to take on our health 10, 20 years down the road.
I love it sponsored by the animals not because they paid me but because I can sleep at night. β€οΈ
Hey Mic, what’s the brand of winter coat you had on your channel a few times? Thanks
Guarantee this will be a 1M+ channel within the year. Deservedly so. So insightful, yet down to Earth and relatable… Never change Ethan. You are a legend. Your channel is actually what good YT is all about.
You, Babish, and Joshua are the holy trinity of YouTube cooks. Proud of y’all for what you have achieved
Personally I have trouble with dairy so I used MFP to see how many calories the low-cal burger would be if I used 80/20 beef and no cheese and I got 529 calories. I think this is a great idea for those who want a meatier taste.
He is like scientist and i started make my own breads. I always cook my own meal from other youtube channels but when i found you bro i forgot the others you are like amazing… underrated very underrated so much underrated best besttt
I love how you didn’t lie and say the lower calorie one tastes better, but instead that it’s a suitable substitute!
if I took out all the stuff I don’t like out of this burger, such as mayonnaise and onions, I could save quite a few calories
I’m a new subscriber. Does Ethan have a video where he goes into detail about his philosophy around eating / training / weight / etc.?
Can you please help me find a way to make ground turkey burgers not disgusting? The texture is always terrible. PLEASE HELP
Man, you are definitely putting work into your videos and website! Thanks for the recipe Ethan.
You should have added some beef flavoring to the leaner meat
Replace the butter with mayo replace mayo with the fancy sause
I watch foodie videos just about every day. You make the highest quality videos around. I hope you stick with this because I’ll keep watching.
New to your channel and have to say that I love this series. This is definitely original and gives great instruction versus simply making an artistic-forward video.
Doctor gregor strolling. Reminds me of one of his speeches “…5000+ hours in the gym and not as good as strolling vegans at fighting cancer”
ethan, i have a doubt for a few videos, do u let the food u prepare cool down to do the taste test?
Damn… I already skip the mayo and use a mustard/ketchup mix on my fries too and use lean beef..
When I’m feeling naughty I’ll sometimes use 9 grams of mayo. Such a thrill.
What about estrogen? Apparently the impossible burger has tonnes, is that true?
I’ve had several of these burgers….probably 7 or 8. I had to stop eating them because. I realized that the charbroiled taste must come from some kind of liquid smoke…a known carcinogenic.
I’ve been doing this for the past couple of months while in a cut, using low fat cheese, and I add turkey bacon too
could you also use a non brioche bun? i’m generally not a fan anyway
Instead of making a new sauce, why not just use light mayo? I’ve never been able to tell a difference in taste from regular mayo and it’s usually only like 35 calories per serving.
if you wanna go even lower on calories. use extra light mayo (hellmans is good), no sugar added ketchup and instead of brioche a lower calorie burger bun (brioche is loaded with butter)
Imma keep it real with you chief, and I say this with love, but having tuned in and out of your channel throughout the past few weeks, I felt that your channel was lacking something. Until this point, your videos felt very familiar… almost like I’ve seen them done by Babish, Kenji, and Weissman many times before, and unfortunately pulled off better by them.
However, this low cal series has really taken your channel in a complete 180, IMO! I really think you have something with this series. It’s personal, I can tell you’re passionate about it, and most importantly it’s unique to you! Whereas I felt like you were mostly repeating the words of other trusted creators in many of your past vids, you’re now the source of authority in this series. People will soon be citing your videos in their content.
Anyway, just wanted to say, great job! Wild improvement. Keep up the good work:)
Just made it, absolutely delicious, fantastic recipe. Only thing I would say is that the Dijon mustard in the UK must be a lot stronger than what you get in the US, as it was a bit too much in the sauce. And I am a dijon fiend! Great series concept, keep em coming
He didn’t make the mistake of trying to bullshit his way in a “my low cal version is as tasty as the full cal”, like so many internet chefs do… That’s an upvote right away.
once you’re more used to home cooking than eating out, you can cut this down even more. I make my patties with 90% lean beef and i make them smaller, i cut the cheese myself instead of using pre-sliced which are about twice as thick. And i use way more lettuce and a sauce made on greek yogurt, and it tasted amazing! 10% less beefy-ness does not bother me, once you become better at cooking you learn to make things juicy and delicious with less fat. But then again I’m not american so I’m not all that used to eating smash burgers, my body can only handle one of those a month xD
Man thank you for your content! I love it! Cheers from Italy β€οΈβ€οΈ
Damn boi! that’s one hell of a transformation between 2011 and 2020, the epic mustache just seals the deal
One thing I started doing when I started eating healthier, eat the burger but go with no/super healthy sides. 700 calorie burger alone isn’t that bad until you throw in another thousand calories in fries and soda.
this channel is nicely blowing up right now 45k subs in a week
This is amazing. I’ve lost 42.5kg in 18 months through strict calorie control and as I get closer to switching to maintenance calories, this sort of content will help me re-normalize my eating habits and rediscover cooking for pleasure. Subscribed, please keep it up.
you can add something to the lean meat to make it more tender
You should apply pressure with something with your other hand (like a wooden spoon) to the top of the spatula as you smash so you can get it super thin and you really want to smear out those edges to get a nice lacy crispy edge
Dude, I am Czech and the fact that your name literally means Breadowski is beyond amusing to me. Good recipe man, keep it up.
EDIT: em bed et spalling
Could just not use butter or mayo to brown the bun, and get lowfat mayo and lowfat/fat free cheese. Like the idea of this channel though, i’m always trying to make these popular dishes as low fat as possible
the low cal burger is higher in carbs so even more unhealthy. Sugar/carbs are extremely unhealthy. Don’t be fooled.
Thank you for the video. This is a winning concept for attracting people who are on a diet/who counts calories. I am counting calories and started subscribing to you because of that! Really hope that you keep making these videos! Good editing and filming also!
hold up, what is that sauce/paper towel magnetic rack on the fridge? does anyone know that brand?
Hahaha loved it. You’re the Funniest man I know couldn’t stop laughing
The sound of the video wasnt good.
I like what Dr. Barnard said: “Coconut oil is only good if you shine your shoes with them”
I dont care about the “Beyond Meat” burger. Have tasted it. It tastes toooo much like meat.
The same with the Impossible Burger.
This is really for meat eaters who want to slow down on meat consumption or vegans who are struggling to transition into a proper plant based vegan diet.
Just come here from meme felix video with this video combind
Sorry for badass english
i’m subscribing just so you can afford a good vent hood (Unless this is an apartment I guess). Keep up the good work man!
I have a question, wouldn’t it be better to put the patties right on top of the bottom bun? So it lays flat and won’t tear apart while eating
She says the way god grew it… god made cows and other animals/edibles so what’s the problem
Fresh meat ground up with some salt and pepper. Cook it over an open flame. That’s your healthy burger. Get rid of the processed chemicals and the preservatives.
Thumbnail, font and video in general seems like not Binging with Babish inspired, but straight up ripping off
I think that your videos would be better with more originality, we already have Babish if we want Babish videos
This video feels well-thought out, authentic, and nuanced. Let’s promote content like this to fix the YouTube algorithm.
You could also add pickled red onions (they take 5 mins to make). They have 0 calories and add another layer of flavour:)
Why don’t you toast the bun without any butter or mayo? Zero extra calories.
This is some really high quality video. You notice that he loves doing this as he even puts the video into different segments!:) Greeting from Germany
3:41 the tiny cleaver you used to slice butter is awesome! where’d you get it?
My god. I just love it when I see this level of quality content on youtube -or anywhere for that matter. No mainstream “OMG this burger is 10 TIMES TASTIER than the original” bullshit. Just honest, human and all the rest goodies. Subscribed!
Do you know what I love about these videos? Is it the amazing recipies, the entertaining delivery, the accessibility and attitude?
Nope. Those are great but what I love is the TIMESTAMPS IN THE DESCRIPTION. SO CONVENIENT.
Your content is seriously underrated. You’ve helped me streamline my meal preps.
love that you use metric system for all cooking. just as it should be.
I was not able to access the Nutrition Table notion page. It said I did not have access. Otherwise great video! I think it could benefit from have a side by side stats comparison inside the video tho. Thank you!
Love seeing RP making it into videos made for more of a general population and not an exclusive fitness audience!
Hey man nice channel just found it out!! Keep up the good content and a piece of advice for your EU subscribers use also metric measurements too even if they are at the description.
Like any other vegan burger it’s loaded with sodium. Yeah, lets get kids started on a high blood pressure diet.
God didn’t intend for chickens and cows to be stuck with antibiotics and grown to adult size in half the time lady.
Bullshit, and sugar is the main risk to people’s health, the whole saturated fat thing has been largely debunked.
You won’t anything unless it is created by God? newsflash lady, there is no “God”
Listen, I could care less thar he’s a doctor’. The Impossible burger tastes like actual meat! There is no fucking doctor in the world that can tell me what my taste buds interpret. It’s a fantastic burger for those including myself that are starting a vegetarian diet.
This interview would have been a lot better if the interviewer wasn’t so biased and angry
He spends time talking about the down side of the impossible burger but doesn’t mention any alternatives that are better.
Wouldn’t Vegetable fat be safer than animal fat??? I guess I better look into coconut oil
This Dr is pushing the agenda of the FDA which is to keep making people SICK by eating animals that are FULL of antibiotics and hormones that cause cancer! There is NOTHING wrong with coconut oil! It has been proven!
I bet this MD is a meat lover! Doctors give us OPIODS, yet they think an Impossible burger is NOT,…NOT good for you? So much for me taking the advice of medical doctors. If you like the impossible burger, AND I DO, do not listen to hack of a doctor.
Yeah.. Its impossible to have a burger with 44mg of ESTROGEN! hope you men wanted a sex change.., 10 impossible burgers will do the trick! https://www.infowars.com/washington-post-denies-claim-new-estrogen-packed-impossible-whopper-will-make-men-grow-breasts/
Excuse me Dr. Barnard coconut fat isn’t necessarily BAD for you. This fat DOES NOT GREATLY INCREASE YOUR INSULIN LEVEL. This is quality fat which burns as energy MORE efficiently than CARBS. 1 gram of fat has twice the calories for energy than the same amount of carbohydrates.
Pretty sure it is made of processed dead baby fetuses… they are next to planned parenthood, just saying it is a possibility right?
Do you really think this is going to be healthy a product that they clearly don’t tell you the truth on how they are making it, scientists are selling you this product anyting to take your money and you for a ride
Who is this clown? What a hack. Glad he’s not in charge of carnivore diets around the world.
Soooooo y’all just skipped right over that fact of the estrogen levels huh? woooow fake ass doc, he with the cause too.ββοΈ
Great.Lead me to an early grave with all the fat and who knows what else as long as the animals are safe..Gee good going doc.
What about the Glyphosate on the plants and the land? How can it possibly be better for our health and the soil? What about GMO? I can’t imagine how consuming pesticides in foods can be healthy.
I listened to this video because I’m interested and want to try plant base diet. So as Dr. Bernard stated this could be the begining of the transition… “that’s a good move”, that’s the star, I will then follow up with better and smarter choices. However Mrs. Hiner comments make her sound like she feel is at a higher level in life than us “meat eaters”. Her comments sounds very dispective and Fanatic, glorifying her actions and descicion. This platform could bring more people to the light, we just need to be conscious that not all the listener will be smarter as she is on the subject, some of us are just learning, and that’s why we listen…
Sorry doctor you now medicine I know economics. To make more soybeans we have to cut down more fields.
I’m not sure looking at raw fat content is accurate. With the traditional 80/20 burger you render a lot of the fat out.
Worse than the original for diabetes because it has more carbs and only 30 Calories less than the original.
Stop knocking burger king…… damn.Β They are doing something great for the environment whether it’s for the right or wrong reason.Β It’s always about money….OK we get it.Β Burger King isn’t going to go from the Whopper to a heath food burger and be able to stay open and employee people.Β Yes there are issue and extra fat from coconut oil…….. chill and let this evolve into something great.Β Shame on you people……. it’s YOU hollier than thou Vegans that makes me ashamed to tell anyone I’m a vegan.
This doctor is an IDIOT!!! Saturated fat doesn’t clog arteries or cause heart disease!! Heart disease comes from high insulin, which causes high BP, diabetes and obesity. It’s the vegan, high grain GARBAGE that doctors like HIM push that causes the high inflammation and insulin resistance. The Carnivore and keto lifestyle WORKS! Put down your garbage vegan frankenfood and cook yourself a good fatty STEAK with butter, ghee or beef tallow. Your brain, muscles and heart will thank you. These government paid HACK doctors pushing this anti-saturated fat and high grain, high gmo, high insulin and inflammation diets are KILLING PEOPLE!!!
!!WARNING!! That Impossible Whopper has a 18 million times more estrogen than a regular Whopper!!
Eating that can literally cause men to grow Breast! https://youtu.be/Zt9NuzgR2tQ
It’s massively unhealthy, extremely dangerous… extreme estrogen, man boobs, cancer growth like crazy! This “burger” is a foul, disgusting mess of trash in the human system. No, just NO!
It’s made in a Factory / laboratory where they extract the genetics of beef and Infuse it with the soy plant. soy is not as healthy as people think. High levels of estrogen can lead to forms of cancer. especially breast cancer. Soy does not supposed to be consumed on a daily basis. Why do you think when you go to restaurants if they have it.they advertise The Impossible Burger separate from the veggie burger?
I have read that they are made from algae, and are positively full of estrogen, phthalates, and other endocrine disruptors, which reverses the reproductive systems of both men, and women.Β (meaning that men will produce hormones, and women will produce testosterone).
If there are B12 in meat, why do I not see it on the nutrition facts of meats when I check?
If don’t want to die for a hear attack watch sodium in your food. Because it’s impossible burger meatless isn’t mean healthy this burger has a lot of sodium on it. I still eating meat and watching what I’m eating.
They replaced the wheat protein with soy, and the coconut oil with sunflower oil in the mass production version, so it’s very bad for you now…
What the fuck is this interview lmfao shes so angry about this burger
Cut the calories on a second burger and then eat both, WINNING!!
Shes one of those people ya’ll… she talking about gluttony, that has nothing to do with why people want to try it, clearly she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. And he lost me with coconut oil, I’ve known people that uses that for cooking.
Dr. STOP talking about the damn better for the “Environment.” I would buy the damn thing for all others reason other than the environment and or cows farting and hurting the environment…LOONS…..
What’s bad about consuming organic coconut oil? , there’s more positive information about organic coconut oil.
Its just gluttony what a prude.. This is the type of person who wants to impose their will on others to make them miserable.. It’s not enough that it isn’t meat for her..
For Pete sake if meat eaters are eating a non meat burger they otherwise would never touch…its a good thing.
Impossible patties are made from soy protein concentrate and potato protein, with fat from coconut and sunflower oils, all bound together with methyl cellulose, a laxative.
All veggie burgers, besides Beyond Meat and Impossible, taste like shit.
For me I would probably give up the bun and keep the higher fat beef. i am a strong beliver in higher fat meat cuz there is no comparison. or I would do a slimmer bun or 1 bun
You do realize that Leghemoglobin is GMO (Genetically Modified Object) don’t you. Also this new ingredient was only give a 28 Day test on rats only before given the green light by the FDA no testing at any time was done on humans….. So I guess Burger King is conducting the human research on a national scale for the FDA. Have fun being the guinea pigs people.
Did he really fail to mention that the key ingredient is a protein called soy leghemoglobin (SLH), which is derived from genetically modified (GM) yeast, and grown in a vat?
Derp…”To me it sounds disgusting.” I can’t stand narrow-minded machoism.
That Dr. sounded very intelligent. The woman sounded dumb as shit.
You have a video here that is supposed to be about whether the impossible burger is healthy or not, and the woman keeps throwing in her own opinions. We don’t care if you don’t like fast food or sausage, or if you won’t eat food unless it’s the way God made it.Seriously.
Better for the environment, are you fucking insane? Just more global warming propaganda.
Not bad at all. In fact I would have never know it wasn’t 100% beef. Can’t wait to see where this goes in the future.
Of course it’s not healthy look at the saturated fat content and the sugar content as well as the sodium. It’s nothing different than the other burgers. I’m talking about the one from Burger King
MY DAUGHTER HATES fast FOOD but SHE LOves THIS BURGER……
I tried it and it tastes like shit and made my stomach hurt. People just get so caught up in jumping on a bandwagon they forget to be honest.
$$$ is the main barrier to veggie burgers. I’ve eaten them. Some are better than others. However, they just cost too much.
I actually just had one and it tastes just like a Whopper. That being said with all the saturated fat and ingredients from coconut oil. I don’t know why the burger has so many calories. In it. I’m trying to figure out how many calories does Patty itself has the burger has about 630 calories
“It sounds disgusting and I wouldn’t order it”
I mean if you dont like fast food you’re not gonna like it lmao. I’m not vegan or vegetarian but I wanted to try it and I thought it was really good! It tastes good and gives vegans an alternative option if they are with their friends on a Friday night and they dont wanna feel left out if everyone wants some fast food. I dont see a problem with this at all (what he said about coconut oil is a good point though)
These people are nuts the impossible burger thastes amazing and it is the best veggie burger I’ve ever had and I’ve had many. It’s way more then marketing. Now I’m sure it’s not the healthiest but it tastes like meat and there is nothing wrong with that. This woman is foolish. Nothing about how we live is natural lol any form of cooking is processed having fake hotdogs is not bad.
I was floored when I tried the impossible burger it was so good. I went back the following week to get it again after not having set foot in a Burger King in almost 20 years. I started doing keto last week though so I am not sure if I will indulge any time soon. I use coconut oil in my chicory root “coffee” though to burn fat and coconut oil is also used for oil pulling for gum and teeth health I am using sesame seed oil for that at the moment so organic unrefined coconut oil is not all that bad.
Don’t be a sheep..Don’t fall for the bullshit*t sheep no MORE
Is it me or does it sound like she’s bragging about her veganism.. everything that she doesn’t eat if you notice is disgusting and it has to be perfectly silhouetted out of the ground in its original state. So annoying
Coconut oil gets a bad rap because of saturated fat but it’s actually great for you if it’s part of a low-carb diet cards and sugar is what’s killing America
Why not also discuss the treatment of the animals as it pertains to these burgers? If they can replace the mistreatment of cows but still deliver the unhealthy yet delicious product to humans, doesn’t that add tremendous societal and moral value?
I’m a big fan of Neal Barnard but I can’t say it’s just the name that makes it better, it is better than most vege burgers I’ve had tastewise. At least that is if you actually enjoy the taste of beef like me but don’t eat for moral reasons. People aren’t buying the impossible brgr for health reasons, of course it’s not healthy, highly processed full of saturated fat and probably sodium, but it is convienant. And as a vegetarian who’s worked many construction jobs, it’s nice to have options rather than eating a bunch of potatoes and getting constantly picked on. I’d really like to hear a better breakdown than this.
In all reality, it tastes similar yet a little better than the actual whopper.
Sorry, Dr. Neal does not know what he is talking about. The impossible burger tastes 100 times better than any veggie (vegan) burger on the market. Not even a little close. Dr. Neal should really leave his opinion on taste out of it. Rather give us the facts, good or bad. Seeing the amt. of fat and saturated fat, this burger is processed junk food.
Im down for plant based anything. I feel way better since I cut out meat and sugar.
Finally, people are waking up about all the saturated fat (from coconut oil) in the Impossible burger.Β People who crave saturated fat from coconut oil can buy a jar of coconut oil from Walmart and eat that.
Good video β so much easier to digest than text writeups! There’s an article I wrote that’s pretty relevant: https://blog.bunting.com/shopcasting-vs-youtube-c1a. Full disclosure; I work for the company hosting it, however I think it’s useful here, so with your permission I’d like to share!
Feel free to remove this comment if you feel it’s not appropriate
Everything in moderation people…its better for you than a fatty burger. Let’s face it fatty meat always tastes better…struggling cheating vegan here.
And why does wanting to eat a juicy burger = gluttony? So wanting a burger is a sin? What is this Woman trying to say?
Neil Barnard Sound so old-fashioned saying that fat “snaps your arteries shut”. Does he really believe this?
It’s on the market becauseβ¦.people will buy it and the the shareholders will earn a profit. No other reason. Be serious. It’s not better for the Environment and it’s not better than meat.
The question is kinda stupid.
Nobody goes to eat burgers for health reasons. so that’s out of the factor.
BUT, it’s a great way to convert people to become more eco-friendly and maybe also even Vegans.
So, that’s a great positive way.
Vegie-burgers don’t convince hardcore meat-eaters to change.
Cheeseburgers are a slice of heaven. Plant based that mimic real meat is a damn fine idea.
Her logic about vegan meats is ridiculous. The good flavor comes from spices. It’s only another preparation method. I make my own.
Just found you and subscribed today. I am loving your videos! (I have watched at least 5 already) Could you do some Asian food? And maybe Middle Eastern, too?
For me the impossible burger taste so much better than other vegan burgers and coconut oil has the best ratio between omega 6 and omega 3. Also I do not add mustard, ketchup, or cheese to my burger.
Impossible is very similar to beef, both in taste and unhealthiness. I love it.
Becoming vegan was the best decision of my life! Totally recommended!
Hi there, I want to know if Custokebon Secrets, will work for me? I see many people keep on talking about this popular fat burn diet plan.
Has anyone tried Fenoboci Diet Plan? (search on google) I’ve heard many awesome things about this popular weight loss methods.
Calories are measures of energy. If you are eating right food calories are burned as energy not stored as fat. There is no need to count calories or even think about them. If you are eating nutitionaly dense raw fruits as and vegetables with only a an occasional prepared meal you body will tell you when to eat and how much.
why do you have a bald man as a screen saver & keep talking to him? what a waste of utube space!
Heya, the very best results that I have had was with Adams fat code (you can find it on google). Absolutely the most successful diet that I have tried.
It’s hard to get people to understand that when you eat plant based, you need to eat more. I had a 30 minute conversation with a co-worker last night that tried to tradition and said he felt like shit. I asked “what did you eat”? He said, an apple and some carrots. Then latter made a smoothie with one banana and half a cup of blueberries. He was shocked when I told him my smoothies have 6-7 bananas and a cup of frozen fruit.
hey hey! Have you tried Bison Fat Loss Genie (do a search on google)? I have heard some incredible things about it and my m8 got great results with it.Β
Nice meeting you, Tino! I’m psyched about these videos interviewing Dr. Greger, and this is a great topic-nice work.
Great video! I agree 100%. I did a video de-bunking this new non-sense fad called IIFYM (if it fits your macros). Basically it’s a license to eat cheat meals and so forth. My final conclusion: Don’t count calories, make your calories count.
We love it when people say: “YOU HAVE TO EAT MORE!’:D (more health food of course)
Okay, I paused the video at 35 seconds in and just realized you must be exercising and not just swaying back and forth like a weirdo.:p
How come that there is nothing as satisfying as low-bulk low carbohydrate high fat meals?
This man is a shrieking clown…!
In the first 2 seconds I thought he was getting comfortable in a chair.. but he didn’t stop
What about 2,000 calories of fresh fruits primarily, along with greens and nuts and seeds. That’s a lot of calories. What is it that is involved in retaining fat. I presume fiber is important. 2000 calories of meat or 2000 fruit has a different outcome I would presume.
He probably just called them up, introduced himself, and asked.
YAY! Love this man Michael Greger! And he WALKS the talk! thanks for this video!!!
Dr. Gregor is walking on his treadmill. LOL He did a video about the dangers of sitting at a desk all day and showed how he strapped his computer to his treadmill. He literally “walks” his talk. Pun definitely intended! LOL:-)
My money’s on the fapp’n ;D Kidding, love Dr. Greger and his videos:)
PAAALEEZE, CLOWN, YOU’RE A LIGHTWEIGHT TROLL, WHO POSSESSES NO ANALYTICAL SKILLS, ALL YOU’RE DOING IS STRINGING LAME TROLL PHRASES TOGETHER AS YOUR PERFORMANCE IN THE PRETEST I JUST PRESENTED YOU WILL DEMONSTRATE. OFCOURSE I WOULD REPEAT WORDS BECAUSE I’M TALKING TO A MORON…AGAIN TROLL LET’S SEE HOW YOU FAIL WITH THE PRETEST YOU TURKEY. BASICALLY ALL YOU’VE GOT IS A BUNCH OF WHINING AND TROLLING
ANSWER THE QUESTIONS OR FUCK OFF DUMBASS:
1. NAME ALL THE CELLS & ORGANS IN THE BODY, THEIR QUANTITIES AND FUNCTIONS.
2. NAME ALL THE ECOSYSTEMS IN THE EARTH’S ENVIRONMENT.
3. DESCRIBE THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE EARTH AND ITS ORBIT AROUND THE SUN AND THE SUN’S ORBIT WITHIN THE MILKYWAY AND THE MILKYWAY’S RELATIONSHIP TO THE OTHER FEW HUNDRED BILLION GALAXIES IN THE UNIVERSE.
4. EXPLAIN HOW A LIBERTARIAN GOVERNMENT COULD RELATE TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND PERSONAL HEALTH.
5. EXPLAIN WHY YOU SUCK
and you said ‘finally loser’ twice btw.. and I am elementary..? haha get over yourself.
HAHAHAHAHA You are hilarious. Really.
‘you’re apparently all about celebrity ass kissing and sheeple behaviror.
3. your interpretations and valuations are worthless than worthless.’
‘you’re pathetic with your fake sheeple, obamazombie crying, get lost loser you really suck.’
LOL Again, learn how to string a sentence together logically and I might consider your criticisms.. until then.. Your just pissing in the wind.
and btw Im far from an ‘obamazombie’ I am an anarchist thanks.
Great topic and great video! Good job getting an interview with Dr. Gregor!
Blood flow tends to be good in vegans.
Unlike the paleo/primal followers with numb bananas π LOL!
Great video man as always love from India, can you make a video about sprouts, legumes and beans and how to eat them(boiling or soaking), asking for non-soy vegan protien rich whole foods and best ways and time to eat eat them.
YOU’RE A MORON, READ POINTS 1 THROUGH 10 OVER MAYBE TEN TIMES BEFORE YOU GET IT….I GOT IT THAT YOU’RE VERY SLOW BECAUSE YOU’VE GOT SHIT FOR BRAINS.
Word salads are meaningless. Come back when you can string a sentence together logically.
10. finally loser, one of the most important parameters at certain time unfortunately is politics, because a lot of zombies like yourself have advanced mobocracies around the world, where mobs of zombies live off of government welfare and warfare…so that’s the deal, moron there are many parameters of health, which should be identified, valued and correlated, which takes time. this is why the myopic approach can become very limiting, inhibiting and circumventing…got it dummy?
9. to put this in perspective captain stupid, i looked at a couple of your dummy videos and your green smoothie using wild greens was a great idea. but your 5 parameters of health is a window on the myopic nature of your ignorant mentality. there are 100 parameters of health, which vary in importance and priority through time, which could range from anything from posture to financial planning..you’re just a newbie, just beginning to recognize some of the parameters and their relationships
6. i like bananiac because he’s about humble research and analysis, which is great.
7. my prob with greger is that his analysis is just too myopic and elementary for me, not for you because let’s face it everything about you is myopic and elementary.
8. finally loser, i don’t represent anything about the “vegan movement” to use your “we are the 99%” kind of idiocracy. like bananiac i’m just another person approaching these issues. I simply happen to posses a great deal of intellectual resources.
what a loser you are:
1. i’m all about science, objectivity, creativity and liberty.
2. you’re apparently all about celebrity ass kissing and sheeple behaviror.
3. your interpretations and valuations are worthless than worthless.
4. you remind me of that scene in korea when kim whatever his name was died and the masses of oppressed people were doing their fake crying.
5. you’re pathetic with your fake sheeple, obamazombie crying, get lost loser you really suck.
I see your messages everywhere.. I just want to let you know, I think you are an embarrassment! Dr Greger is doing some really good stuff for people.. all you are doing is trolling comment sections making a fool out of yourself and damaging the reputation of the vegan movement. Ive seen you say some pretty gross stuff on freelee’s channel too. I think the best thing you can do to help get the vegan message out there, is to shut up. -Just my opinion. P.S. Dr Greger is KING.
My definition of obnoxious is unpleasant. I didn’t feel that. Kinda creepy at the start, I didn’t realize who it was and the lighting:P
Each to their own but as someone who is vegan and won’t eat animal products due to the cruelty, I couldn’t get past his big push on red meat. It doesn’t matter how the cow was raised, they are all killed and their meat harvested in the same manner. There is nothing humane about that.
that’s incorrect, he’s obnoxious just like you and the cyctroll are obnoxious. he does these boring little demographic analyses, which are fine for the great unwashed like yourself, but for serious people always on the quest for clarity and correlations like myself, the guys kind of a waste of time. for example the useful data he presented in that dumb interview could have been done in far less than a minute, without having to look at some dopy obnoxious bald buy with glasses jumping up and down
Thanks for the interwiev Bananiac. Dr Greger is an amazing man.
I’m guessing he asks for them, a little preparation and manners goes a long way. Plus he isn’t obnoxious like that dude who does the park fun runs, I doubt they would grant him an interview or take him seriously.
Oh wow, I just thought he was hypo from all the sugar in his vegan diet.
I agree RonPaulgirls Like you I much prefer the paleo marketing over this hippy plant based wuwu guru diet. Is it even healthy to live on a lettuce leaf or celery stick? no wonder people end up with a meat deficiency in a day or two.
i agree, he’s not obnoxious at all. why always so much pompous negativity from our resident champion of liberty and freedom? tino, great question for the doctor!
This guy is amazing, he needs to collaborate more with the raw food/high carb people to back us all up with medical science, peace.
I love how he is walking on the treadmill during this interview!! This guy is great and SO informative. It’s so awesome you interviewed him!
Bananiac, I love your channel!!
How the heck did you get interviews with these guys (McDougall, Greger, etc.)? You must have some family connections or something.
why is that guy always so semi obnoxious. the message was ok, but jesus, he’s bouncing around on some god damn tread mill or whatever i’ve seen his lectures and his channel, i think i’m subscribed..but anyway, too bad their isn’t one super smart person who can lay it all out in a fascinating and all encompassing manner other than myself.
