That being said, the HIIT workouts were pretty quick and painless.

I bought the BodyBoss program for about 6 months ago and I think it was really hard the pre-training. I tryed for a week but unfortunately I stoped. Now I’m looking foward to start training againg because I am quite sedentary nowadays,
I am 46 yo and I found out last year that I am in my pre-menopause wich makes me feel really down and without any strengh to do any kind of exercises, even yoga that I love the most. I really need to take the directions of my life back or I will be sick in a short future…
But as you said, when we (normal women, not models) are looking for training plans the only stuff that shows up are nice programs with photos of small sized girls, with a figure that we know is impossible to reach… The other thing are the diets that make people sickier instead of healfier…
Thank you again for your words and review, now I feel that to reach the end of the training is not impossible, and that it is possible to exercise without being the crazy one counting all the calories in the world. When I read about all those crazy diets I feel as I am obligated to write down even calories in the air…

Loved it. We just got our BodyBoss and this is great to start out and I can adjust to wear I need (which is way low right now lol) I’d love more beginner so I could rotate
I think it doesn’t matter what shape your natural body is, as long as you do your best to keep healthy and fit. I’m short and thin through genetics, but am not fit or healthy at all. I just got my body boss kit and am looking forward to feeling healthy and fit!

Very helpful! As someone who is VERY active and eat healthy, it was refreshing to hear from someone with a body type much more like mine. People do often “assume” things about you when you weigh 200-lbs or more. I am super healthy except for the my weight according to my doctor. I just have no metabolism. This is a great workout and you can modify as you need to.

I know the pictures are easy to follow, but just watching you in this video was already super motivating! Ahh! I couldn’t agree more! I love the hiit structured work outs but have been looking for something more body positive. Ie. I don’t want to hear about what this will do to my bikini body because I already put my body in a bikini!!!

However, I don’t pay attention to the about imaging self on a beach in bikini with Ryan Gosling 😉 I do agree that it would be nice to have not only thin women in the book but also pictures of curvy women….Women with curves are also sexy….

Hi! Thank you for this wonderful video.:) I came across BodyBoss as an add on IG, and have been wondering about it. I started reading reviews and watching videos, then I came across yours. I like it a lot! All of us women should realize that we all come in different shapes, size and even color… and there is not ultimate standard on how you should supposed to look, we are “our own” person and we should learn to love everything that’s given to us. We are beautiful in our own way.:) I’ve always felt conscious of my body, and what people think. I can easily gain and easily get stressed out that my metabolism slows down easily. I easily get self-conscious… I know it’s destructive and I know I can’t expect for things to change if I’m not willing to put the work into it. It’s expensive to go to the gym all the time and I wanted something that can guide me anywhere I am and I can continue at home. I don’t really know other kinds of exercise guide, but BodyBoss seems a good place to start.. Before I think that having a great body is priority, but now I think building a healthier lifestyle is way better.
How was the Bodyboss program for you so far?:)

I really like this video on the guide, especially your views on the body positivity! Was also really put off by the pictures in the guide as I’ll never look as “perfect” as them, and that bikini-comment really put me off when reading it too. I like how diverse and different this review is, I’m starting the pre-training on monday!

Hi thank you for sharing your story and this video. I just turned 39 and up until age 30 I was in pretty good shape. Since then I have unfortunately had to start hemodialysis due to end stage renal disease from type 1 diabetes. I was a ballerina for 15 yrs and stopped around age 19, wish I never did. However, I am really trying to get myself into better shape, I would like to lose about 20-30 lbs bc I am waiting for a kidney transplant and they recommend I lose weight for recovery, infection control from any issues with surgery and overall well-being. I am having a terrible time doing this. I eat fairly healthy and follow a kidney friendly diet but exercising is my biggest issue. I can’t seem to pull myself to do it. I came across body boss and it sparked something in me and seeing, reading and following people like you has really helped me plan to start this. I plan to save up to get this book bc like you, I need a manual lol. Anyway, thank you for offering your body positive opinion and showing me that I don’t need to be skinny or in super shape to feel good or be happy. I will keep you posted when I start and how I’m doing!

Thank you for posting this video. I’ve already bought BodyBoss a few months ago but it’s nice to see a body positive member do a truly honest review of the program and be very open about the challenges they faced doing the program. I especially appreciated that you mentioned the time it takes to complete the workouts, which are much longer than suggested, as well as the type of models they use throughout the book. When I was looking up the program a few months ago there were very few, if any women who were plus size like me, that actually did review the program and of course they don’t have any plus size and/or women of color models within the book.

What would you suggest for bar raises if you can keep you arms extended straight to eye level? I had the problem that after pop squats tor the last workout I would keep curling my arms even on setting 1.
Watched a few video from you and decided I’d order this online from S.Korea. With covid19, most gyms are closed or limited, so I’ve been looking for some legit hometraining items. I found similar products to Bodyboss with cheaper prices, but I couldn’t really trust them. After some research, I think Bodyboss will fit my taste! Looking forward to working out with it!

I found a really good review of Bodyboss on Google (I just searched ” Literateowl Bodyboss ” and after hearing all the negatives and the review even including a better/cheaper alternative and progress pics, I’m torn between the two programs. Has anyone else read that review? Which program did you decide to use?
Just tried this as my second workout, because I could barely do half of the first total body workout I did. This was tough but was so helpful. From someone who’s never been in a gym, I appreciated her walking me through everything as I had no idea what exercises are called what.
I’m actually looking forward to doing this tomorrow.

appreciate the beginner workout. I used to be in excellent physical shape, until I was diagnosed with lupus 6 years ago.. It’s changed my life unfortunately. My disease has progressed, but I don’t want to give up. How do I find out about additional workouts? It’s been hard to find these and follow your program.
This kicked my but as I would expect for a beginner. Had to do 1 or 2 of the exercises with the lightest selection but I pushed through. I would greatly appreciate some more beginner videos.
Thank you for this honest and fair review. I really appreciate your message. I purchased the bundle after Christmas because it was on sale, but I am MOST excited about the print guide because I sometime find exercise video pacing to be way too fast, difficult to follow, subject to decent internet connection and sometimes accompanied by distracting music (not the case with these videos, btw). But yes! Print guide! SO excited! I also really like how the program is structured and has an entire month of pre-training, thus helping participants to avoid injury and demotivaiton.
I’ll take some of your review to the next level: regarding the language, it’s not just problematic, it’s really sexist, ageist and kind of silly (Victoria’s Secret? Ryan Gosling? 50+ year-olds shouldn’t try it? Really?). As I read the guide I honestly felt that it was not a program meant for me (close to 40, active, but far from my 25 year old fitness level and not really interested in bikinis). A friend of mine encouraged me to ignore the language, try the actual exercises and set my own fitness goals, as opposed to weightloss goals. So, that’s where I am.
I think there’s actually a lot of health value in this program. It appears to be well-planned and requires no expensive equipment. However, I’d love to see more models like you in the videos, as opposed to just the ads. I’d also like to see suggested routine moderation rather than flat-out exclusive language. BodyBoss would expand its clientele and more people would benefit-and let’s maybe include some non-binary gender language as well!

This was my very first workout with the BodyBoss and I was a little intimidated by watching some of the more advanced workouts. Now I understand the settings people would talk about too.
I’m a runner who hasn’t done gym stuff before, so I am hoping I can improve a bunch of things, from my posture to my running with the BodyBoss.
Question, did you do each exercise twice, then move on to the next one? Or do you do each exercise then repeat all of them in sequence again?

Do I get anything wrong with Bodyboss Fitness??? I got the 7 day Free Trial Guide and it’s not 3x 24 minutes as said everywhere.
It’s 2x HIIT Workouts (47 Minute each including Warm Up and Cool Down), 1 Cardio Session (30 minutes), 1 Power-Up Workout (26 minutes) and 1 Recovery Session (40 minutes). If you want to change something you have to put a lot of time and effort in it, i know! But why is it advertised with the 3x 24 minutes when that’s not true?
Maybe you can explain if I’m not getting it.
