Brooks left the Ghost 11’s outsole unchanged from 10, and it continues to perform well on a variety of terrains and conditions. What about levitate 2 and glycerin 16? I’ve been having a lot of leg pains and think I need a softer cushioned road shoe and yes I’m going to forfeit looks.
Was half paying attention then I realized she’s at Landa Park in New Braunfels which I run at regularly.
Seth, I have run in the Brooks Glycerin, which have a very comparable interior to the Ghost. I run in Smart Wool and have never had a problem with slippage.
i did buy the glycerine. 17 but im not sure is a good one. is very soft. is a good one for speed? or only soft training? is it good for for food running or more middle foot running? tell me ur experiences pls. thx. take care. frank
soooo did the runner have any thoughts on the shoe whatsoever?
Running at Landa Park, I see… love the vids, bro! Quick question, do you prefer the Peg 35 or ghost 11 for more casual runs (3-5 miles)
Your videos mean so much. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Did any of you notice heel slipping in this shoe? When I tried this shoe on, I noticed slippage when I did a short test run, even when adjusting the lacing (though I did not try heel-lock lacing), more so than the Ghost 10s, which felt more secure. Hoping I can get this sorted out if I decide to buy the 11s in the future because I like everything else about the shoe.
She’s a running coach but her technique is shitI guess people just like her for her ass
Been using my Ghost 11’s for about 80+ kms now and I’m loving em. Hope you’ll like yours too, Seth!
I’m not sure if your thumbnail is supposed to tempt runners or Perverts. Did anyone notice the Shoes though?? . By the way everyone I did try running once. I’d just got a new watch and I though I’d do one of them 5k things with it… I didn’t!! . Lovely video though buddy. I love Reebok pump!!..it wasn’t about Reebok Pump Was It??
I tried the shoes, but unfortunately 12mm drop was disturbing for me personally.
I wore the brooks ghosts for a while, went through 5-6 pairs. 5 pair were the ghost 10 and 1 pair was the ghost 11. I liked them except my shins were always hurting in them, so I decided to try something with a lower drop and just like that my shins stopped hurting. I won’t go over 8 mm for drop ever again, I just find it too aggressive and inhibits natural running form. Would love the shoe if it were a tad lighter and with a 8mm or less drop. 6 mm just feels so much easier and smooth to run in.
Just bought the glycerin 18 a couple hours ago, I got the wide option because I have low arch/wide feet. They feel snug on the upper but once I get going it starts to feel soft, I also have a mid strike and the response is great. Thank you for the review sir!!!
#Jami‘s
Solar glide boost or UA hovr sonic?
I’ll use it for 10k run a day. Thx man
My daughter is a xcountry runner and she actually has a pair of both that she swaps out to help prevent to much wear
Dat ass brought me back… It’s been a ghost town over here. Welcome back ✌️
Brooks has the Ghost 11 and the Ghost GTX 11. Does any one knows the difference?
I’ve had Ghost 7, 9 and Glycerin 15, 16 all in 10EE. Both Ghosts have been wider than both Glycerins. Actually having issues on the lateral edge of the Glycerin 16s. Might not be a problem as I’m a big fan of the Hoka Napalis.
Awesome review as always! Are you going to do a review on the New Balance Beacon? I’ve seen a lot of people hyping them up.
About the Brooks Ghost, I ran in the Ghost 10 last year. Lasted for 3 months before I injured my ankle. I agree, the drop is way too high and my ankles were too far from the ground and I never felt really stable in the heel.
I use them for walking shoes now. At least the upper is comfortable.
Love the peek at the end showing the filming that’s some work! You should do a ‘behind the scenes’ someday since you have a pretty unique style to your videos.
I saw no imperfections…. I mean on her not the shoe. The shoe on the other hand is a big hunk of rubber and cloth badly put together
Great review (comparsion) guys!! I just watched more of your reviews, great! I started with Glycerin 13, 14 and just finished now year 2018 with 15s! Never tried any of Ghost model yet, but this is going to change I guess! Actually I was dissapointed with the last Glycerin 15, because I am a runner that is more extreme to the outside and the 13 and 14 series wear seemed to be better than the last 15. Anyway I just ran 1381km in 2018 with them (863miles+) which is pretty much for the shoe. Thinking also about to try out the Brooks Levitate but I’m a bit sceptic about cushioning, because I seldom ran less than 10km and I do some Half marathons per year, planning to run soon the whole Marathon. First I need to fit the Ghost 11 on my feet in the shop and then I Will make a decision for my 2019 running shoe!
Do some reviews with forefoot strikers some shoes are comfortable for heel strikers and some for forefoot
I’ve been buying nothing but Ghosts since Ghost 9. They were so awesome that I bought a total of 9 pairs of them thinking that I’ll never find a better shoe and I’ll just use these up over the next decade without needing to shop for them anymore. I felt so vindicated when I tried out a pair of Ghost 10s and Ghost 11s when they came out. The Ghost 9s are still so much better IMO. I felt i had found the perfect running shoe at least for me. However….. The Ghost 12s are actually a little bit better. They are a fantastic running shoe. I only have one pair, but I’m thinking of getting one or two more when they go on sale and before they go out of stock. Can’t speak about the Glycerins, but this video reinforced what I thought might be the case. I’m going to stay with the Ghosts. If you get a chance, try out a pair of 12s. They are really awesome.
Are they worth the swap from the 10’s? You can get the ghost 10 for £85 or the 11 for £115 is to update really worth the extra?
Hi Seht. You did again a very good video.
A short story:
I was running last Sunday the Freiburg Marathon (black forest in Germany). After training through the winter watching your videos my original plan was to run looking for a personal best, but 3 weeks ago I caught a severe cold. I couldn’t train during these weeks.
I decided not to run the 42.2 km, but go for the half 21 km.
On sunday we had a cold and rainy start. I was thinking which shoe should I take for thrse weather either my very new trainers Brook Ghost or my also new Nike Pegasus 35 Turbo. I took the Nike turbos and they did very well. Although I am still recovering from my illness and ran carefully feeling my body, I finished close to my best time.
My question of the day:
How do you decide after been ill to return to the training or as in my case, to compete?
Unfortunately I will not have the time to watch the Boston marathon, but I will look at the results. Answer D.
Best regards.
I pick C! Always an exciting race. My son likes the same Brooks shoe! Although he’s had knee problems off and on the last year. Not sure if it’s the shoe or his mechanics or both. Didn’t realize how high the drop is on it.
I prefer the glycerin for my long slow easy miles to save my knees, and switch to lightweight racers for fast days. Ghosts are nice for that use too though
Favorite running? Idk about that, but this is my favorite thumbnail and vid so far HAHAHA
Hey Jami, new follower here. Great review. Brooks and the Ghost line hasn’t let me down yet. Being based out of Texas, do you have something tips for not dying in the heat? I’m from Houston and waking up at 5am is sometimes hard. Thanks!
Sorry for the lack of uploads. I have a lot of videos recorded but been very busy and these vidoes take “forever” to make so please be sure to SUBSCRIBE and hit the notification bell so you can know when they’re ready to go!
In contrast to popular opinion, I LOVE the big heel drop in these things. I find having the high heel drop / offset helps alleviate my achilles issues and works really well for me, and I use them regularly for my speed, interval and track sessions. I run in slightly lower shoes for trail runs, but for everything else, high drop works wonders for me after years of niggling problems.
QD:B…. and YES Boston Marathon is well know around the world:-) including Poland, Europe, where I’m from. You are doing great job with you everyday vlog!!!
Ghost 10 or 11? Is there a huge difference? Ghost 10 on sale is why.
I can’t find this color any where. Do you know what its called?
I have these in 11.5 mens and it’s a nice soft runner. 195lbs.
I have brand new pairs of the Ghost 12 and Glycerin 17 which I am going to run side-by-side for the next 1000kms and compare them over that time. Initial impressions though are that there is very little real discernable difference in construction save for the separate “sock” arrangement inside the Glycerin with the “tethered tongue”.
I have been running in the past year in Ghost 10’s and 11’s with absolutely no issues so it will be interesting to see how the 12’s compare with those and how the Glycerin 17’s compare with the Ghost 12’s.
I run is a UK 9 (US 10, EU 44), the wide 2E version. I note that the Ghost weighs in at 297g left, 298g right but the Glycerin at 326g left, 324g right. Not huge but still the Glycerins are noticeably heavier.
My own long term test starts on August 1st.
Interesting comments. I have recently bought a Ghost 12 and a Glycerin 17. Both are US 10, UK 9, EU 44 size and both wide (2E) fitting which I prefer. The Glycerin weights 26g more per shoe than the Ghost.
I intend to use these side by side for my next 1000km of running and will interchange them for duties on different runs and keep comparing them.
To date I have been very happy with Ghost 10, and 11 versions but I got the Glycerin 17’s at a bargain price so I thought, why not?
Love my wide fit Ghosts! I’ve been running for just over a year and a half and have just ordered my 3rd pair. Just wish Brooks would make a wide trail shoe too…
I have a pair of Ghost 10’s and while the 11’s are a hair different (not much), these shoes are puzzling to me. The most comfortable shoe I’ve ever put my foot in at a running store so they win the comparison tests there, however they don’t feel right on my easy and long runs. I’ve also experienced the slipping around and I’ve personally had a much better running experience (speaking in terms of “trainers”) in the New Balance 880’s.
I haven’t tried the Glycerin but I love my Ghost they are so comfortable
A big point of difference between both of them is that the Ghost is offered in 4E width while the Glycerin is not.
I’m late to this video but I love my brooks 11 I don’t notice the 12 mm maybe cause I’ve had them for awhile but they give me amazing cushioning I recommend it if you have knee pain
The weight is 10.9oz? CMIIW, this is heavier than Ghost 10 and is closer to the levitate. Did it bother you in the run?
Also, will you make a review for Brooks Ricochet?
Came here for the glutes, stayed for the review. Keep them coming!
Thanks for your review! With all of our stores closed right now with COVID, I’m ordering all sorts of shoes and sending them back. I have high arches and you mentioned these aren’t aggressive with the arches, but I want some with high arches. I would love to know your recommendations! I also would love a general tutorial on what the different shoe terms mean, like springy vs cushion and the reasons for racing shoes vs training, etc. I have run 6 marathons and training for my 7th, so I’m not new to running, but I’m learning a lot about shoes trying to find the right fit since my old favorites have changed too much.
Didn’t know y’all did review of other products other than mattresses. Nice. Along with shoe reviews do you have any athletic sock reviews?
never tried them, so I don’t know, but I might now based on the video
What are some other neutral shoes that are similar to the ghost 11?
Great review, thanks! I’m used to running in Glycerines but am looking for a neutral shoe with less of a cushiony landing. I love Brooks so I’ll be trying the Ghost model.
Back when Rizknows made videos of things other than mattresses
I had a few pairs of glycerin 14 and 15. I tried out the ghost after and felt they didn’t run true to size. My right shoe felt a half size bigger than left. I ignored at first but realized I should have returned them. Anybody else have this issue? I prefer the glycerin but I know everyone is different
12mm is what attracted me to the Ghost…If you have achilles issues you will appreciate the 12mm! Slipping around inside the shoe because the interior fabric is too slick? Princess and the Pea dude!
You lost me at the 12mm drop. Great video as always. I always think we start at a high drop and work our way down yo a 4mm-6mm drop shoe.
Sabrina rules… But RRS needs to fix their videos. All the recent ones say they are good for flat feet and overpronators, regardless of the shoe or whether it’s neutral or stability class. This is just going to muddy up the waters for people new to running.
been using ghost 10 for 5 or 6 months love them! just bought a pair of glycerin 16 ( 94.00). wanted to see if i like the extra cushioning. i dont think you can go wrong with either pair. i always buy last years models when they go on sale. you always save by doing that.used to use asics but they have gone to crap. love the brooks! best shoe i ever owned! when i slip them on its like ahhhh to my feet.
How would you compare this to the Pegasus? Just switched from Pegasus to these guys only bc the store didn’t have Nike… thoughts and experiences w both, please share. Thanks!
I bought both the Ghost 12 & Glycerin 17, took them to the track, it’s very hard to differentiate between the two.
I’m a novice runner
Stay strong, John!
Good luck with Boston, good luck with life. For all of us.
Keep running
I have both and even if the glycerin were a little lighter, I’ll prefere the ghost ones for running and for long distance, are so much comfortable and with better stability and cushioning. The drop difference between one and another make the big difference. I’ll choose the ghosts.Thank you for your comparison, it was very useful.
I plan to switch back to the Glycerin from the Ghost. In Ghost, I noticed ball of my left foot get calluses. I prefer cushioning.
Just downloaded your app and the prices are great, but are the products new, refurbished, or both?
The Brooks Ghost 11 leaves me with a mixed reaction, and perhaps a cautionary note. I have been running in the Brooks Ghost series since around model 7. Over the years, the shoe has performed well for me (up until I max out their mileage). While they provide decent cushioning, they have felt bulky and somewhat heavy: I never recall them feeling particularly fast. Unlike previous versions, the Ghost 11 does feel like a faster shoe. The cushioning is decent but not exceptional: if you were to run 10 miles all on a paved surface, and your shoes already have some mileage, your legs might feel more beat up than if you had chosen a shoe with more substantial cushioning.
There was a point last year when I increased my running mileage too much, too quickly, too often on pavement, and without enough easy days. I began experiencing a hamstring issue that was new to me, and then about a month or so after that, I experienced what was either a stress reaction or a stress fracture in the metatarsal area of one foot (never had stress reaction/fracture previously), leading me to shut it down for 5 weeks. Now, were the causes of the injuries improper training and recovery? Very likely! Did the Ghost 11 have anything to do with them? Correlation does not equal causation… Even so, I was often running in those shoes around the times I became injured, and the fact these shoes have a 12mm drop has me wondering if this drop puts undue pressure on your forefoot and perhaps messes with your form in other ways as well. (For those who are not heel-strikers, and who already land with primary force on the forefoot, I wonder if the impact reaches dangerous levels with high drop shoes?) I plan to use the remaining miles of the Ghost 11 pairs I have mostly on grassy, trail types of surfaces if the run is longer, and though I have done some speedwork in them since the injuries, I am leery and considering only shoes that have less than a 12mm drop. FWIW.
I’m using ghost 11. That is nice running shoes for me. But haven’t try glycerin yet.
Ghost 9, 10 and 11 all the way for running and Glycerin 15 and 16 for casual and walking for me. 5’10 250lbs 20-30 m/week
Just heard you say its a daily trainer but not a high milage shoe…. I have a high arched foot and I own about 5 Ghosts 8 12’s…. and suggestion for me to move into as I know run marathons and my first Ultra
It’s worth adding that the Ghost is the more stable ride of the two. Yes, both neutral shoes, but the flared heel and slightly firmer cushioning on the Ghost provide a more stable ride than you’ll get in the Glycerin.
I actually ended up getting both Ghost and Glycerin. For women, this year’s Ghost comes in a huge number of great colors, and Glycerin comes in fewer and they’re more drab in my opinion. But if I’m doing something high-impact, I find that I do really appreciate the little bit of extra cushioning of the Glycerin.
I really like UA can you do a review on the UA hover phantom
Literally buying the Ghosts right now because of your recommendation. I ordered (haven’t paid yet) the Levitate 2 at my local running store today, but after watching your reviews I just can’t commit to anything but the Ghosts. Too many positives to pass it up. Thank you for the clear cut and honest (and quick seriously thanks for not taking an hour to explain yourself) review. Can’t wait to run in my new Ghost 11’s!
I just bought the Glycerin 16. Coming from the Ghost 9. Been doing Half Marathons for two years now with the Ghost and now, have just ran 3KMs with the Glycerin. One thing that makes me choose the Glycerin over the Ghost is the slightly bit extra cushioning. I am a plus size person. And the extra cushioning help for longer runs. Helps me with foot pains. Not by much, but it does help a bit. I’m not a fast runner by any means, so, it helps for longer runs.
own both, two of the ghost and one pair of Glycerin, really like ghosts for a minimalist shoe, the Glycerin I flat out love, a little more to them but super comfortable. both are great but will be buying Glycerin’s again!!
I love my ghosts 10 & 11’s but I think my arches are too high and I need more support, any advice?
I have been using Glycerins since the Glycerin 4’s. I tried the Ghost once and didn’t like it as much as the Glycerin. I ended up using the Ghosts as just an everyday shoe, not my running shoe. I’m a low arched person that under pronates (rolls out) and the Glycerin stopped the outward roll better (at least for me). I’ve also tried a few other running shoes throughout the years and have repeatedly returned to the Glycerins. I’m on my second pair of 16’s and will have to order 17’s soon.
I love Brooks! I’m currently running in Brooks GTS. I have a Brooks Ghost too but hasn’t tried it for running yet.
Prediction: we’re going to see a pair of low mileage Ghosts appear in an upcoming giveaway.
Seth is the only runner i know who a 10 mph tailwind actually slows down!
Just got fitted for some of these at Fleet Feet. I guess they know what they are doing.
The ghost seem like a better shoe overall plus save some money
Without having had the experience yet I’m guessing based on this video that the ghost is the better shoe if you want a combination shoe that is good for walking, running and also standing. Anyone can vouch for this please do!
I have a pair of glycerin in D I think that’s wide? Having trouble finding them in a normal.color scheme so I am looking at ghosts. I am not a runner, mine are simply for theme park trips. I wore the glycerin last trip to universal and had NO pain from all the walking. Will I be disappointed in the ghost since I think the cushion made the glycerin so perfect for long standing and walking?
I’m 240 lbs and getting more endurance as the days go by (started running consistently and a start weight of 300 lbs. I have a pair of GTS 15’s and didn’t really wear them but they also feel bulky with not enough cushion. I went with the adidas alphabounce but now I definitely need something more comfortable that is going last me and help as I continue to lose weight. I was looking at both of these but conflicted. What do you all recommend? Currently I am averaging over a 5k every week but noticing a change in endurance which is allowing me to run further distances.
Had to return Glycerin 16 for having over a thumb’s width on the toebox, yet being way too narrow on the midfoot.
Didn’t try wider or even bigger version tho, since can’t test beforehand.
Jamison, I really appreciate the RnB and Hip Hop tracks in the backgrounds of your videos, loving Bartender on this one
I like the ghost but I personslly havent worn either yet. Will update if i do.
Good vid. Ghosts usually have a bigger toe box and a wider profile.
Love my Brooks Ghost 11s…I slipped around in them with thin socks. Switched to thicker socks and no problem. Gonna run in them next week at the San Diego RnR Half Marathon.
Sadly, ever since Nike sponsored Colin Kapernick I have scratched them (all products) from my purchase menu (forever).
I’ve tried on both of these and I like the Ghost for sure, he said they fit true to size but the Glycerin fit too small at my size 11 and the Ghost fit true.
Hi to you and your great team. Thanks a lot for giving us reviews on products that we might want to buy. May i request if you can make a review of “nobull project running shoes”? I am a runner and i am thinking to buy this shoes to replace my old ultra boost hope you can help me decide. Thank again.
Yo out of all your running shoes
Which one would make a great walking shoe. Would last a really long time with every day use
Seth, you have by far the best running you tube Chanel on the web. love it keep it up! Question: I’m a slow runner/jogger and I was wondering what would be a better cushion shoe to use, the Ghost 11 or Peg turbo 35. I run for time about a hour and half 4 to 5 days weeks. I’m a 42 yr male 135lbs.
I love the ghosts series, but the heal to toe drop is way too high. It’s almost 13mm. For me it does take away from the running experience.
What are the best walking shoes for someone who has flat feet, a bunion in each foot, hammer toes and has Plantar fasciitis in each foot?
Today I was very happy with my purchase! Got the glycerine 14’s for $100 as they were on clearance from $250 as I am extremely happy with the heavy discount (AUD)
I use both and the slight difference I feel is (maybe perceived) a little bit more lateral support with Glycerin.
Hi Seth, still sort of new to running, started last July and done a couple of half marathons since then.
I am asking for your opinion, as your an advanced running with a lot of experience and knowledge, I have my first marathon in October (CHICAGO).
I would like to purchase two new sets of running shoes, I would like a pair for the longer distances runs and a pair for the actual marathon itself (lite weight pair), I currently wear the ASICS gel nimbus 20s, as was getting shin pain when wore the Hokka I purchased.
I also wear the Nike shield Pegasus for my efforts/speed sessions, but I need a lighter pair for when I do races, as tend to get heat spots wearing the Asicis in my longer runs and they nearly have 400 miles In them.
Would appreciate your opinion on a couple of options you think are worth the £ (I’m in the Uk), I am neutral runner and are good for the options I need 1) longer runs,2) for efforts/speed and races lite weight, as stuck with so many different and new shoes coming out recently.
Much appreciate
Katie
Ghost seriously don’t look that bulky at all. And it feels great on it.
Will you live stream the London marathon too? It would be fantastic to have your commentary on the race between Mo Farah and Kipchoge!
With Brooks shoes I personally like to go a half size smaller.
Jami, Nike made a zoom elite 10. And it’s $20 cheaper. My life is complete.
The cushion of glycerin is very soft, kind of like the adidas boost. Too soft for my taste. The ventilation is better in ghost as well.
Ghost 11 would be my selection for longer distances from 21km upwards. I have had one of the previous versions of this show and it was the most comfortable shoe I have ever run in! Looking forward to trying these new ones
The thumbnail brought me here.
Heal to toe drop sweet spot for me is 5-8, though. Great vid as usual.
Your Mizuno’s are a 12mm drop too, right? I like to work 12mm drop shoes into my rotation because I have had a lot of Achilles trouble in the past and the higher drop helps. I feel like 6-10mm drop shoes run smoother most of the time, but I’d say there is still a market for 12mm drop shoes.
awesome video, I like the production a lot… not too much & very useful
pretty sure the Pegasus is the most popular running series. and it deserves that title. the ghost is way too heavy and stuff and the 12mm drop is way too much. Pegasus has a slightly lower drop, and the support of the upper and smoothness yet responsiveness of the midsole is something that can’t be beat. the Pegasus is definitely a better shoe overall. but I haven’t tried the ghost so idk how it actually feels.
Hi Seth! Did you ever make not to 50 miles w the Ghosts? Just wondering since I can’t find that review
Dude, the Ghost 12 is already on sale. Your review of the ghost 11 comes one year late
own mostly brooks. Putting them on now amf….that was a nice piece about John, don’t know how he did but I suspect he’s alright:)
Great video. For now, I only have Ghost 11 for marathon and I feel great with ghost 11.
What is your actual foot length, and what size of running shoes usually you use?
Ghost all the way. Most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, especially for extended runs
I’m just gonna be straight up Seth, I have the Ghost 11 and also many different pairs of socks, with all different textures to them and I have never had a slip. I can imagine that you experienced that because they’re brand new. most new shoes (in my experience) have a slippy feel to them. I hope you learn to enjoy them!
Seth, always coming with the realness:) Just picked up the Hoka Speedgoat 3 amazing shoe, the Brooks Cascadia is next on my radar, option Aaaaaa in my Fonzie voice lol
You’re literally my favorite YouTuber, such good content!!!!!
I bought a pair of Ghost 11 and sent them back. Fit not great and didn’t enjoy high heel toe drop. Went for a pair of the new ON running cloudswift.
brooks ghost line up is the most comfortable distance running shoes
B: I’m racing. However I’m dealing with a late developing injury that came up during the taper that might prevent me from running. Very frustrating.
oooh boy ohh man ohh…ohh! would you be going back to that running shoes store?!
I’ve also noticed some “slickness” in the Glycerin 16 inner shoe, but not to the point of being distracting. I tried the Ghosts but the 12mm drop is too much for me. 10mm is the max that I can do.
Hello Seth, you have many shoes, so can you share to us how do you rotate your shoes so you can maximize usage of all shoes that you have? thanks!
always suprises me how people recommend the wrong shoes. I pronate extremely but run neutral shoes strictly. why? because I have bow legs and get severe pain in my knees when running stability shoes. so Glycerin and Ghost are also shoes for over-pronating runners. you should mention that!
Seth that is why I wear Tabio socks they have rubberised pads on the sole they just don’t slip..
I bought the glycerin 18 and my heels were killing me right away. Are the older models any better?
Total beginner here. What’s the issue with a 12 mm drop? Why would a 10mm be better? Learning everyday. Thanks
The Ghost is available in all black. I ordered a pair for sight-seeing on vacation. I think that the Ghost shoes will be less conspicuous with dress pants. That said, the Glycerin is an amazingly comfortable shoe.
I prefer the ghosts over the glycerin. The ghost has more reinforcements in the upper and has more cushion around my feet in the upper. Plus, dare I say it, it’s a little bit more of a balanced ride. The glycerins are softer. The glycerins have more room on the inside and run slightly longer. The inside cushioning on the inside of the upper isn’t the same though; the ghost is softer in that respect. The glycerin is also lighter. The upper also isn’t as “tough” as the ghost in my opinion. I love how the ghost feel on my feet, especially the recent ghost 12. I also feel like the ghost 12 is a little more updated than the glycerin 18. That’s my 2 cents.
Surprised you didnt like the kinvara 10. My kinvara 9s have similar feel as the peg turbo just a little lighter and mire responsive. Squishy like the peg turbo but not mushy like. Springier! great 10k shoe
you talked about the ghost that propel you forward. I am very interested about a video that gives a top 10 best shoe in that regards. I love a shoe that is light, comfortable, cushioned, neutral and that propels you forward, giving more energy or boosting your mood in a way, for walking or running.
lol, just yesterday I commented under your Mizuno Waveknit video that it would be great if you tested Ghosts. I just love the coincidence.
Truesox have a lot of grip maybe you can try them with the Ghost 11
The ghost seem awesome! If I weren’t so flat footed I would give those a try

I like that you chose the brooks! I actually bought the same pair. I thought the midsole and the upper were great. Keep grinding Seth!!!
Hi Seth, I have 700+ miles in Brooks Ghost 10, they weren’t my first choice when i went to the local shop but i was persuaded by the comfort i felt the first time i put them on. I’ve found them to be exactly as you said a perfect “everyday trainer”. I was also concerned about the 12mm drop as i run a lot in Altra and zero drop shoes but I have to say i really like the Ghosts and the drop hasn’t caused me any issues. I look forward to your full review. Just one thing i have noticed and may be worth mentioning, the Ghosts do NOT grip well on wet roads i get a lot of slip from the push off if its been raining and i live in England where it rains a lot lol. Keep up the good work on the inspiring Vids. Thanks Max
I ran a Thanksgiving Day 5K in these and they just felt GOOD on my feet.
John, stay strong my fellow Michigander!! I am pulling for you!!! Life is wrought with challenges. Hang in there young man. You got this!!!
Does Glycerin 16 feel high in the back too? I usually like an 8mm drop but have been wanting to try the Glycerin
I would probably go with the ghost because of the energy return
Go get it John! I can wait to watch it at the Runners Roost Denver watch party. I’ll be tracking a lot of friends and pros
I put on my gray Ghost 11, turned on the computer, and Seth buys the exact same pair!
Good luck at Boston John, rooting for ya from Wales UK
i have had the ghost 11’s for a couple months now and they are the best long run shoes ive ever had.
I love Brooks but I’ll stick to the Adrenalines and Ravenna… and FYI she has very talented Glutes
I do not know if this is still true, but I had heard that Brooks is the most popular brand sold in specialty running shoe stores
I am looking for a shoe that allows me to be comfortable while I am at work. I work in retail so I am generally on my feet standing, running, and walking around upwards of 9 hours constantly. I have been looking seriously at the Ghost 11, Glycerin, or the Adrenaline 19 to help me to stop my feet from hurting. Anyone have any advice on the right shoe to be looking for or any tips? Thank You.
Which would you choose for long comfort runs? This shoe or the glycerin 16?
Ghost 11 is better than glycerin 16 but it skids on wet floor….
I would say c but now I may be streaming and watching tv! Lol! I will qualify for it eventually!
B. I am racing Boston this year. Shooting for a 2:48 2:45 finishing time. Super excited.
C for Boston, anyone have opinions on the Brooks Cascadia? I usually wear light to moderate support but they stopped making the ASR so I thought I’d try it out.
My work make me stand, walk and sometimes run for 10 hours. Which pair should I have?
You make me wanna run more thank you! Is there a Link to watch the BM live?
How do you think brooks compares to asics? They seem pretty different but are both popular running shoe companies.
Part of my top 3 rotation, for some reason I don’t feel the 12 degree drop much but I’m a heavy person
I’ve done every single run for the past 6,000+ miles in Brooks ghost 11-12’s lol. I race marathons in them as well!
Super bummed about the new design of Glycerin. I ran in two previous models and they felt great! The new design feels smaller and the toe box feels tight. I haven’t run in Ghost in a few years now; I think I will give them a try.
Ghost option D i have those shoes and have ran 400km in them. The outsole still looks new but the upper is coming away from mid sole. The furthest run i have done in them is 10 miles and i dont think i would run further than that in them
D. I really enjoyed following it closely last year, especially with the weather conditions (showed a lot of toughness from the runners). Also, great editing on the videos lately! Have a good one Seth!
Like and Subscribe and we will keep making more Review videos. Hopefully this helps if you are looking into the Brooks Ghost 11 running shoe. Thanks for watching!:)
