Homemade Pitta Masala recipe: Turmeric 1 part, Cumin 1 part, Coriander 10 parts, Fennel 10 parts
In Korea, where I am, this bread is called gonggalbbang. I’m feeling empty. I like this bread because it is so delicious.
Thank you for providing good info.
where do you buy rose petal jam. i would like to get some in toronto area. please advise.
No way there is 2 TBSP of yeast. 2 TBSP is like half a cup, huge amount. You obviously meant 2 TSP.
And also, if you started using metric for Flour, it would be so so much more useful to use grams for the rest of the recipe.
These TSP, TBSP are such a mess.

Hi, can I use only all purpose flour? I can’t find whole wheat flour? Thank you for the recipe.
regardless of what this bread is called in India, Turkey, Lebanon, etc, etc,. this is and awesome recipe. I made it in my Breville food processor and it couldn’t be any easier. Beautiful, soft bread had to double my recipe the second time around because everyone enjoyed it so much. I had no problem adding yeast as directed, dough rose beautifully. Thanks a bunch.
My bread didn’t rise like that on the pan. Maybe I pressed to hard and made the dough sticked together.. Great recipe by the way..
Eewww…Why duster?? U cud have used any other good quality cloth
I’m from India nd I’m here after watching the show “ask laftan anlamaz”..I’m trying to know about Turkish dishes and everything about Turkey..
Love the bread!! Made it twice already! Now I want to try the semolina recipe that is following the bread recipe. Any idea where I can find it? Thanks!
For the yeast: 2 tablespoons, or 2 teaspoons?
Just asking because tablespoons seems like a lot.
would this recipe work if i used spelt flour or gluten free flour
I Ende up throwing everything away because it didnt reallywork lol
Loved it. Made it 6x already. Just like khamiri roti for us. Great with chicken doner
It’s so yummy. Have made it 5x at least. Also tried with multigrain flour for some fibre N it was just as nice. I make at least 10 pieces
Why would Pitta bread be made in an oven!!!! It never is!!! Duh!!!!
Super amazing description! I like how you explain everything little thing in detail. I tried your rawa cake recipe and it turned out super. Hence following your other recipes too. Keep describing the way you do, it helps a lot!
I did it and it didn’t work? Mine didn’t rise in the pan. What did I miss?
ok, I’ve tried this some times now. It does not rise in the skillet. Just to test I put them in the oven, and they became pufferfish! Should the skillet be very hot, or medium hot?
The last one we call it “mhadjeb” or “msemen” the recipe is so famous in algeria (north of africa ) it’s a traditional recipe
Was planning on a documentary about geopolitics, ended up with bread baking ♀️
Here is a tip from a turkish person: put feta cheese mixed with parsley before folding it to square. We call it ‘gozleme’ and it is amazing.

The moment I saw the burn scar on her hand, I knew she has mastered baking. These scars are like medals for bravery, like black belts… like Super Bowl Rings. And it did not disappoint.

Its luke warm water and luke warm milk..
don’t use hot water and milk
it burns
can I just add 3 cups of apf instead of 2 cups of apf and 1 cup of whole wheat flour? will it not change the texture of my dough if I will follow your method on your video? I have no whole wheat flour at the moment. And this will be my third time making pita bread..
1st try: I used may pan. It did not puff.. And twas hard.
2nd try: My bread was fine and soft but it did not puff. I tried in pan did not work. I tried few in my oven some parts of it puffed but most of em are flat bread no puff.. no pocket..
This is going to be my third try… I hope my third try will work.:(
And also if I am using Active Dry Yeast or Instant ones and I will let my dough rise it smells like sour or alcohol beer.. is it normal for dough to smell like that?
I just need advice. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing friend love it!God bless your Chanel….more power
Splendid video! Great examples and attention to detail. Thank you for all your hard work!

It’s the first one to show problems of not puffing
I love your way… Wish you the best luck
I like how in the description they claim that you won’t need to knead the dough, but later on in the text, they tell you to “knead for 10” minutes.
fken clickbait

Thanks in advance
Loved your video. Good demonstration, problem solving example. I will definitely try it. Thanks.
I had a tiring time this evening trying out all the steps you showed, seeing the dough puff up to an almost round though was a sweet reward!! Thank you!
i think i just fell in love with the commentator
she has a most charming personality
Thank you for sharing a piece of your culture love from New Orleans
I am saving your recipe for sure. Looks pretty easy to make.
Thank you.
if i do not have whole wheat flour, may i use all purpose flour for the entire recipe? thanks!
I just made these and they were amazing. Even though I only did a half batch, I still had enough for 6 good sized pieces. And they were a perfect bread to go with menemen. The only thing I’d recommend is an extra sprinkle of salt after applying the olive oil at the end.
So no one else found the dough incredibly dry? After kneading aggressively for 10 minutes nothing was coming together. Had to eventually add 1/2 C water. This brought the dough barely together. What the heck did I do wrong?
looks delicious. i have allergy on white flour, is it possible to make it with kamut khorasan or spelt flour?could you show how do you mix your spices, or your homemade curry mix. thank you.
one of the best pita tutorials I’ve seen so far, is there any chance you have converted your recipe into metric?
This video and music is just like meditation.. I want to eat this but also want to sleepand yes it is mouth watering. craving it badly
Where can I purchase the spice mix that has just the following ingredients, which I found on this website: http://www.vedicsociety.org/pitta-is-the-most-challenging-dosha-to-treat-a-338.html
1 tumeric

Thank you ma’am. This was really helpful and appreciate the detailed step by step instructions.

Really I love this video, I have searched several time to see the PITA Bread making video, finally I got this one, I want to wrap this bread with shawarma
Bazlama (tr.: Basmak = push) = pushed in
Tip for lazy ones like me: You can just press the dough down no need to roll it flat
Excellent way of communicating with anyone keep it up. I made exactly the same way and was amazed to see how beautiful it was to make the pita bread at home. Thank you so much looking forward to many more recipes.
