Stand tall on your right leg, with left knee bent and left foot off the ground. Hold the medicine ball overhead in both hands for 30 seconds. While continuing to balance on your right leg, move the ball over into your right hand, hold for 30 seconds, then move it overhead into your left hand, and hold for 30 seconds. How to: Sit holding a medicine ball with your legs extended and a slight bend in your knees. Place your heels about two feet away from your butt, driving them on.

You’ll do this by slightly bending your knees and driving your hips back. Your hands and arms would usually be at your side, but since you’re holding the medicine ball, they’ll be in front of you for this exercise.Medicine balls are most commonly used for something called ballistic training, which is a form of strength and power exercise. It aims to improve explosive strength as the idea is usually to toss or move the ball as fast as possible.
Workouts with a Med Ball can be grueling. The Med Ball is a great tool for developing strength, improving conditioning, strengthening the abs, legs and arms. See how versatile the Med Ball is.
Grasp the medicine ball in both hands, holding it close to your body. Press the ball straight up overhead. Squat down to recover the ball, completing the repetition. The 4 lb Valeo medicine ball is high quality and has great texture so you don’t drop it.
It bounces so you could use it for exercises like the squat, dribble and toss.; The 6 lb Spri Xerball Medicine Ball is a huge favorite of mine because it, too, is very high quality and it has a great bounce.; The 8 lb ZoN Soft Medicine Ball is great because it’s soft, so it doesn’t bounce.

I want to know how to regress and progress these exercises? please answer me, I have rehab exam soon and the worst thing to do is regression and progression.
Dynamax 14 lb ball. Weight of the ball is visable at 7:09 point of video, when ball is resting on feet.
0:23 practicing some Twerking Here Aye!!
Well yeah who doesn’t want to be a part of “Twerking Competition” when you have a medicine ball.
The red ball looks about two inches short for Bob cause his knees are a bit high.
I shoot a basketball into the air where like it just goes straight up and then down to practice my shooting at home I was wondering if it will help if I use a med ball than a regular basketball will this increase my strength for shooting?
Nice choice of music, and these look like fun drills to do, I can only imagine the amount of sweat drawing out of my body post workout.
Omg. U guys are to cool. And funny. Going to try these techniques today.
300,000 subscribers that’s quite an accomplishment. Congrats
Im only a 12 year old kid. Can lifting medicine balls that are about 4kgs stunt my growth?
Thanks for the videos, and especially thanks for consistently pointing out to not do it if it hurts and to listen/customize to what your body’s telling you.
Take care!
Good drills but I’m curious on what specifically is this making you better at
I love how the drills also teach and reinforce being strong and aggressive with the ball. so important for the younger developing players. keep the awesome videos coming.
Bob& Brad, please consider putting the GoFundMe me link for Liz in your new video descriptions. We can get that $$$ much higher. So far I believe it is only in that one video where you 1st mention it. Thanks for everything guys.
Really important to get the right size!! I can barely go in opposite direction but practice helps.
Wow, highly superior collection of drills. Perfect for the sport of basketball. I love also how he does some supercompensation (same movement without the MB) immediately after sometimes.
True pros.
Heyy! I really like stronger team and the advice and workouts you guys send out of how to improve basketball athleticism. Just wondering how i can implement these drills in my workout regimen, in terms of sets and reps. I’m really working hard to improve my over game, skill, quickness, vertical, strength, everything.
Great looking exercises Coach! Even for us 35 year old guys who still want to play ball, your exercises have extended our fake basketball careers:)
My grandma had this pain then it passed to my mom when she was young and now I have it I’ma kid
But this helped a lil thanks!!
No, proper age-appropriate strength training does not ‘stunt growth’…
Oh cool! A pretty trainer with a sweet voice… like honey
Hi
Earlier I commented about chin tucks hurting. I tried today right after I woke up, in bed, with a pillow! Did not hurt! Yeah!
My question, is this the same exercise working the same muscles? And will I improve to being able to not use the pillow?
Thank you so much for your inspiration! You have no idea the good you are doing. Kisses
this has been bothering me alot, does weight lifting stunt growth?
Amazing video & I love how the beats are always special & great!
Not sure, sorry. We get all of our beats from a DJ overseas…
Love you guys personality and chemistry on camera. Plus your advice has my back feeling much better!
Would it be good for a stroke victim for the right hand hopefully & eventually be able to use for the left hand therapy?
Hey guys im a 5’6 going into my senior year of high school,my coach wants me to be more of an defensive player cause of my lateral quickness, is there any good drills to help get and keep me in a good defensive shape? I wanna to be the best defensive player in my school. P.S. Any really good ball handling drills?
Just bought my first ball and looked on youtube to learn how to use it. I found ya’ll!!!! Thank you for not being boring! You had me laughing through my workout. Keep being you! I sent this out to a dozen folks: )
Great stuff y’all. I’m about to use some of these in my training today! Great sport-specific motions!
if it wasn’t for the loud music, this vidéo would have been perfect!!! nice workout tho!
HI, great exercises!! Can I ask what is the weight of the medicine ball you are working with?
Thanks for your feedback, that is great to hear. Just do the upper body portion of the strength/power PDF…
I have a question please.. I saw one of your videos before and you showed how not to do some forms of sit-ups, I do sit-ups from supine position with legs straight (only bent very little) with my physical therapist (without restricting the legs) and I only sit upright till becoming 90 degrees not all the way to touch the toes.. so can this still hurt the spine or may cause any harm to it? I also do bridging. So is it OK to do that form of sit-up since I do bridging and strengthening the back as well? [when I do sit-ups I try to not use momentum and not pull on my neck and try to keep my feet fixed on my own with the bed since I do it on a bed not the floor]
I used one dumbell and a light ball for the floor slides. This was great. Sweating like crazy.
Is there an alternative to the slams? I don’t want to upset the people that live in the flat below:)
Idk if anyone ever mentioned athlean-x as another physical therapist on the internet. Not to demean your guys channel but he just has a larger following. However he does have a wider variety content so idk if he’d count lol.
I’ve done this workout twice now and really enjoy it! Love Ariel’s energy and coaching through all the moves.:)
Thanks for your help. What can one do for a low back pain? Thanks
was almost convinced it wasn’t green screen. this video was ahead of its time.nice work
I’m going to try this. I have carpel tunnel n arthritis. Learning guitar has been a super hard challenge.
This was a great workout! Love all the moves that combined upper and lower body to make the most of 30 minutes.
Is a picture of Buddah on the baoding balls rare or something? cause i have searched everywhere and I seem to the only person with them.
I think we are too closed minded. Science has proven healing frequencies I think. Plants grow healthier when spoken to in a positive tone, crystals grow better with music, etc.
Western cultures know too little about the body other than what western medicine teaches. I would not be so dismissive about cultures that are thousands of years old. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the video.
Hey, I’m new here but this looks great. Definite . Keep it up man!
I have five sets of differing sizes. I can’t go to sleep with out them.:) I like the glass/stone ones (large marbles) that don’t ring. They are NOT like fidget spinners at all. The trick is to breathe, relax the hand, and allow them to move freely without allowing them to ‘clack’. Certainly do not drop them onto any hard surface. I keep mine under my pillow yup, all five sets, and i can find the ones i want just by feel!:)
I like this video. I just got an exercise ball yesterday and I looked up exercises I could do on it. This video is perfect for my lower back. We were on a stay at home order for 3 months. I got lazy and just sat around and watched my tv apps and played games most of the time. My lower back hurt so much I couldn’t hardly do anything. So I did a few of these exercises yesterday. Just the easy ones. I did some again today. My lower back feels much better already. So I’m going to keep doing the easy exercises every morning. I’ll try the harder exercises in a couple months. Thank you for this video.
No, the gentleman who films, edits and directs these videos uploads them for me. I simply mastermind the content along with Blair and Matt!
Hi guys. Can you recommend some exercises stretching for pregnant women. Thanks (:
I think haveing two brains working, “different ideas is perfect”.
I think your work is awesome. Thank you for your wonderful ideas.
In 2020 in these times when going outside is a no no your work realy stands out. Hope you and yours get through the Coronavirus happy and healthy. All the best from Australia.

Coach, I entered me email for the free vertical jump workout but I did not receive any email with the workout. Is it possible for you to send it to me, as I have had these issues in the past. (I already read the daily newsletters and am a spring type jumper
As a viewer I can say: I’am seriously also a real Fan of the two B’s.
Your excercises are good but your presentation is to usually, I don’t know who to follow, both are doing excercises at the same time, anyway thanks!
I don’t t think you guys babble, I enjoy listening to what you have to say.keep up the great work boys!
These worked for me. I had two ‘trigger thumbs.’ I used these several times a day for a couple weeks or so, and did not have to have surgery! Two things: the first few days, my forearms got very sore. And 2: how do you measure what mm to get? I don’t ‘speak’ mm. My first pair was bought at a festival, because they were beautiful. I didn’t actually use them until my trigger thumbs appeared about 10 years later.
Thank you both so much for your very helpful and well-explained videos!
A little advice for the athletic crossover stance you should place you hands on the ball like you would getting ready to take a shot so this can make you a triple threat situation and for people that don’t know what this means triple threat means you can take a jump shot dribble or pass
I had a problem on layups.when the defender tries to knock me I try the hand rotation layup then finish at the rim.should the 5kg ball is suitable for the hand rotation drill?
great stuff man, could definitely use some of this stuff for exercising

A new use for those ben-wa balls that have never had their proper use.

I just subscribed your channel..wow!!and today I bought a Swiss ball..such a wonderful coincidence..
are these exercises good for those with foraminal stenosis?
great video:)
my gym is surrounded with mirrors and the roof is not high.is this workout as effective as tossing the med ball?
your comments about ball height are very interesting, but run against all the advice I am getting from other experts. Who claim that the hips should be slightly higher than the knees with both feet flat on the ground.
this isn’t just for fitness, but for everything. basketball channels always provide excercises and content, but they don’t provide schedules for those excercises. For an unexperienced person with time management like me, I watch all these videos but do not know what to do with them.
I personally love this channel and everything it provides but I’d love to know which excercises are daily, biweekly, or bimonthly in order to maximize the efficiency of my overall (b-ball & fitness) training.
Maybe you guys could consider this comment as a suggestion? I’ve rambled on long enough, but case and point: I really need help with 1. training & 2. Time management for that training, maybe this is something you could include in your videos?
Is this also ideal for those who have ruptured and or herniated disks in lower back?

Quick Question. I have one workout left on the 12 week strength and power pdf. Next week I start the jump manual. The jump manual’s mostly lower body workouts so I need a new program to work my upper body. The problem’s that you’re not supposed to do other strenuous running activities while on the jump manual. Which program works the most on upperbody? The 8 week pre season strength and conditioning pdf or the 8 week bodyweight pdf. Thanks and I’ve gotten a ton stronger with your offseason pdf.
