Use Two Sets of Dumbbells You don’t need much equipment to commence a full dumbbell program at home. At a minimum, all you need are two sets of dumbbells: one heavier set and one lighter set. Use the heavier set for exercises in which you can manage more weight, such as squats and lunges for example.Using just a pair of dumbbells and this dumbbell-only routine you’ll be able to hit all the major muscle groups in your body, and build a stronger body in only 30 minutes a day. Why it works Dumbbell training allows you to workout one side of your body at a time, which is great for curing any strength imbalances you’ve developed.
Lie flat on the floor, holding a dumbbell in each hand above your chest with straight arms. Lower the weights towards your chest, then press them back up powerfully to return to the start. Why: Lying on the floor puts you in a stable position so you can attempt to go quite heavy with this move.It’s perfect for those who work out at home, travel and are on the road a lot, or beginners who are new to weight lifting. It can be performed as a complete workout program for up to 8 weeks.

Tough workout to complete with proper form. Felt like mostly cardio not much resistance unless you do it with heavy weight, but I’m not there yet. Definitely will come back to this until I feel I’ve mastered it. Thanks!

Bulgarian squats off the deck. That’s a single leg move that hits hard and works on balance too. Love what you all are doing. All 3 of my boys have been training with me here at home. My 11 year old put on a circuit training last night to the neighborhood kids next door. Burpees squats, mountain climbers, sprints. Him and the 7 year old want abs so bad. Lol. Keep up the good work.

I am a 15 year old and for our home work we had to do tabata so I thought I would take it to the next level
All the workouts you show are essentials and will help build muscle but I think this combo will be much beneficial: 1 compound exercise + 1 isolation exercise. For exemple, dumbell bench press + dumbell fly for chest. Pull up + bent over row for back. Overhead press + lateral raises for shoulders. Goblet squat + bulgarian split squat for legs and glutes. That will do 6 sets for each muscle a day and 18 sets total for the week.
for the single arm close to wide row, is it 6 high rows and 6 low rows each arm or 12 of each each arm?
Is it ok that I use the high knees as an active rest and not giving it my all on them

Why do only 10 reps if you can do more? Stopping before you’re fatigued or have form failure doesn’t maximize the benefit of the exercise.

Man I’m just not used to working back with dumbbells. A day later it gives me one hack of a lower back pain. Just so used to doing lat pulldowns or rows. I’m not sure how to work my back. İf I had like a bench to stabilize myself…

Nice video i have everything at home to workout with dumbbell bench commercial pull ups and dips stand commercial Olympic bench and lots weighs bars e-z curl bar Olympic bench press bar and lots of those weighs that you are using on the dumbbells on your video when you workout everything comes very easily even i always had fast speeds walking normal i can’t walk slow keeping your body up is a blessing ️♂️♂️
I’ve been on the fence about trading out my 25 pound dumbells for 50 pound dumbbells because I strongly prefer just using my barbell/bench and only use the dumbells on “off” day’s because it would kill me to go a full day without working out in some capacity, but this video series has sold me on them.
To anyone finding it difficult (like me) I changed how I drank my water through it so I would drink after 5 exercises then 4 then 3 then 2 and then I only had one exercise left I found this easier as the harder it got I got more water and it was something to focus on instead of the 15 mins
Question: I cant seem to keep my back vertical if the weight is to touch the ground therefore is it better to stay vertical with my back and not touch the ground with the dumbell or lean forward slightly so the dumbell can touch the ground???

The prone rows are great, can do just prone rows without the bent over rows, the former are safe for the back and easier to get the form correct.

If anyone else is like me and doesnt have heavy enough dumbbells to actually over load the back, start the workout by doing pull ups, bodyweight rows, basically the hard bodyweight stuff, cause after youre finished with those, trust me those dumbbells are going go feel heavier than they are, also try to do supersets and always control the movements
(For bodyweight rows i do then on rings, but if u dont have them, well first of all try to get your hands on them, they are amazing, makes everything so much harder and theres so many things you can do. But if not, do what i did, pretty much you take 2 towels, long ones, or any kind of a strong rope and hang them from a pull up bar, and then start doing rows, the lower they are to the ground and the higher your feet elevation, the harder the movement is gonna be)
Love the series keep it up, currently doing push pull leg split with bands in the backyard that might be something you can show us too!

All the stores closed for me to get some extra dumbbells. Using a broken 32lb weight (with 4 8lb weights on them) & two bags full of 16oz waters (roughly 15lbs each).

I think I’m just going to buy a squat rack that can be used as a bench press. The coronavirus has pretty much shown me I don’t need a gym. Just some heavy dumbells, my TRX kit, and that squat rack. Blame the government for that.

I’m an absolute beginner and have skinny arms with a fat gut due to years of alcohol abuse. I’m off the wagon and want to get in shape. I do jogging for cardio and have a calorie deficient diet to get rid of my gut. I want to put on muscles and get rid of the gut. Would this workout be right for me for that goal? And is it ok for me to have a calprie deficit and still gain muscle if I take in enough protein? I look forward to trying this one out:)

Feeling pretty awesome. This 52 year old did all 3 rounds with my 15lbs dumbells. Felt great so I decided to do a 4th round. Will use the 20lb ones next time.
You can rest your head on the back of an incline bench for stability during tricep kickbacks and back exercises… I’m just sayin” ;o)

The lower dumble row do not work on the lower part of the lats! The lats at this movment activated when you do shoulder extantion. The christmas tree created only because of fat%. The lats connected to your spine by the thoracolumber fassa and that creats the shape.

That last chest exercise looks like it will hit the shoulders more. I have neck issues and if I do something incorrectly I feel it in the shoulders and neck.

Did the workout this morning, perfect little routine to blast the entire body before the kids get up!
For example can I take turns between this workout and a 20 to 15 minute hiit cardio workout.
If I want to do this workout everyday to stay fit instead of a long workout 3 times per week what would be a good schedule in terms of this workout and cardio.
I use two 10lb dumbbells. I’ve dropped a few pounds and I feel great..thank you both for this great workout vid.

I would have the babies facing forward while doing goblet squat holding them as weights, otherwise if they suddenly make a kick it would be a total disaster.
Today I had little time to workout, so this 15 minute full body workout was the perfect choice. It was very challenging but, as always, I feel great after completing it!
