I run with a Marmot Polartech Alpha 60 jacket in the winter here in Michigan. With a long sleeve shirt and a short sleeve under it, I’m completely warm in some very frigid temps. Love that brand.

For example I have a grey hoodie but not the other colors, but what’s cool is that you show different ways to wear it. NOW think of the following: you let us know an item to get, same grey hoodie, give us some time to get one, (that could be a video on its own) then another video of how to style that particular grey hoodie. What’s cool about this is that we can directly be involved in that video. Imagine 6 items per year, but then we have a more consistent closet because we got pieces with exact attires for. I wasn’t sure where to comment for a response, so I clicked randomly �� I’ve been diagnosed with ehler danlos syndrome and despite physio, I still experience multiple subluxations daily. As a result, I have osteoarthritis and my mobility has become somewhat limited. I have 4 young daughters including identical twins who are disabled. I’m rambling. I also have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and am struggling to bring my weight down. I weigh food and track calories. I generally eat 1,300 calories per day as I’m only hungry once a day. I am in the UK and whilst I adore the NHS, it’s hard to get appointments to discuss this. I’d appreciate you weighing in (pardon the pun) on this issue for me. I’d love to take the excess strain off of my joints so as I can do more with my young children. Thank you in advance if you get around to reading this:)

This is the problem with clothing companies…no disrespect to this man because he’s a good looking guy but look at his frame…he’s about 25 pounds underweight whether we’re talking fat or muscle for someone his build. Most men don’t have ‘boyish builds’ after there teens. Why are clothes made for someone 6’3 and 150 pounds when you’re average height and weight is 5’9/5’10 and (we’re talking in shape) at 175 lbs. I’m 5’8 and zero chance those sizes fit my shoulders/chest/arms yet the clothes would literally drape me in height.
I really wish cloaks would make a comeback, though. I find them incredibly stylish.

Hey Antonio, great video as always. I’d like some advice. I just bought a nice, navy overcoat that fits my budget, turns out it’s only 50% wool with the rest being polyester (it’s also lined though). I don’t often wear suits/sports jackets so i took one that fit well with just a shirt and sweater. My family loved the look so it’s a keeper. However, I Don’t think I’ll be able to wear it with the 3 piece suit i just ordered. My dad mentioned that you are supposed to swap the suit jacket with the over coat and not wear both at the same time. Have you heard that before or should I have gone for the larger size?

As a physiotherapist in a Nordic country WEAR PROPER SOCKS! Or at least boots long enough to not show naked ankles when your knees are flexed. Also jeans that are not ripped at the knee when it’s below 0 outside, leave those for rest of the year. You may feel hot and stylish in your sneaker socks and 7/8 chinos, but every winter I get more and more people come in for physiotherapy because of knee or ankle pain due to skin being exposed in cold temperatures and ligaments getting a chill.

100% agree about the shoes… I work in a Runnersneed doing gait analysis in London and I always give the same advice if they’re not comfortable as soon as you put them on your feet, rule them out! If you ever feel like you might want to try anything other than the Colombia trail shoes and you enjoy the Cliftons… you might also really enjoy Hoka’s Speedgoats.

Hiya, I’ve just restarted c25k but compared to when I ran before, I now have a lot more things I need take (a couple of keys, access card to my building and an inhaler) I’ve been wearing a coat with pockets but it’s not the most comfortable to wear, so does anyone know of anything that is comfortable to wear to carry these in? Thanks! x

Have you ever checked out Icebreaker or any other merino wool base layers, socks, wind jackets, etc.? I tend to need warmer materials here in Upstate New York for winter runs, as they are brutal! Merino wool is supposed to cool you off in heat and keep you warm in cold. It is also eco-friendly, as no animals are hurt to produce the products. It’s a whole different world once I discovered merino wool. I can run in the rain and snow now much more minimalist and tend to do it more often for this reason. Also, LOVE my Hoka Cliftons since the Clifton 1! Thanks for the review.
Ironic this came out now. I just bought two new winter dress overcoats, a beige Cashmere/wool one and a black wool one. The beige one was a previously-owned, only a year or so old, Ralph Lauren I picked up for $70. It had been $500 new! All it needed was dry cleaning and a button re-sewn. Im not normally a fan of Ralph Lauren as I find them ridiculously over-priced for what they offer, but this coat is sharp. The black one is a vintage solid wool and drapes all the way to my mid-shin for those really cold days. Its Super warm! Found it at a Thrift store and as I’m a very large, odd size was a true rare treasure. A dry cleaning and some vodka spray made to get rid of that “used clothes smell” and it was like new. Cost: 45!!!! Damn good deals that will keep me warm, cozy, and looking Stylish! Big Pretty accepts nothing less.
What do you do if your jacket has no hood and it rains. Umbrellas are finicky, not reliable, awkward to carry. A simple hood fixes this.
You might as well wear a pocket square and whatever else, because if you’re wearing that jacket might as well go full weirdo

No skins?? They are all I wear for running. The fit and compression are far supreme for me. I save the 2xu for the gym. They also do long sleeve tops which in Australia is generally all you need with a light weight rain or wind jacket if the weather is inclement. As for socks ‘compress sports’ are the best for saving toenails & preventing blisters.

No windproof in your kit list?
Every waterproof I’ve ever owned had left me a sweaty mess when running no matter how breathable it claims to be. A simple pertex windproof shell layered over a long sleeved running top might not be absolutely waterproof but keeps you warm enough and much more comfortable overall than any rain jacket will
