Do you know how long does the Apple Watch 5 lasts with GPS on? Thanks for the review!
may I ask what is your wrist circumference? (I am trying to decide if 6s or 6 is better for me (with 17cm wrist)
Interesting!!! Question. Did you have the GPS+Glonass on for the Garmin watch? I have found that the accuracy improves when you use that setting.
Solar is a gimmick, you’re better off investing in the Saphire version…at least you’ll have some use for it.
I’ve just bought a instinct from wiggle Garmin are offline bit of bad timing
What gps setting did you put the garmin on just gps or gps galileo or the other one
Hi, great review! What version as re you using in the review. I.e. what colour watch and band? Thanks
Dude, did you consider that Fenix 6 use more measurement to estimate your position, so its more sensitive to signal nosing (i.e. keeping near other watch?) If you want to prepare those tests just take one watch per one person then move the same path.
Thanks for the review! it’s always good for me to see these reviews on the smaller sized watches. Since I have a thin wrist it helps me gauge how it may look on me.
I got the Apple Watch series 5 recently but kept my Fenix 5 Plus to use for races and long runs as I thought it would be more accurate. After wearing both on a different runs I’ve found the opposite looking at all the GPS map tracks. The built in Workout app isn’t great as it smooths out corners but using good 3rd party apps like ‘Work Outdoors’ are far better and give you a GPS signal meter and faster sample rate. Also the elevation track was slightly better on the AW5 too. HR was a draw every time
Great review, thanks! How do you extract the data from the Apple Watch series 5? Did you used Strava? Or other application on the Apple Watch? Thanks
Comparing GPS quality where all watches are not perfectly aligned? Why not testing twice: once with all watches of a stick and once having them in good places to get proper HR readings? Love the comparison idea would love it more if this gets some tangible results.
Hehe bad timing, Garmin being hacked on the day this video was released…
I don’t know how these devices can share your ECG and meeting the heart without leaves of different angles of the heart beat from different positions like the atrium the bench, etc. etc. left right
Thank you for an interesting survey.
I have an Apple Watch5 and was wondering how accurate the GPS was because the later iPhones have really terrible GPS accuracy, their older phones, I also have an iPhone SE are really quite accurate.
I play golf and use an iPhone app for distances that was how I realised how bad iPhones have become which can easily be 40 metres out, short or long, in golf terms that is as good as useless.
I now use my Apple Watch5 when playing golf but I have been worried that they might still not be very accurate, your survey has put my mind at rest, thank you.
Hi, may I know how you link all your watches to Google map like this at the same time?
Theres a setting on the Garmin 6 to stick to. roads/paths. Maybe. chose that when not running off road
