WOW WOW WOW!!!!!EXCELLENT HARVEST. Can you sent me 1 please I would like to try one:)
mind all what i tell ya is based on mt my grand mas teaching not on historical text
Good to learn that fruits like apples, strawberries and peaches can also be enjoyed as dry fruits. Your technique is similar to dehydration, can this be done in a solar dehydrator too?
Two and a half days in the dehydrator. Seriously. But these are really good! (Of course they are, with all that sugar!) Can’t wait for the follow up video on all these projects so I can show you this one.:)
Lead, I’m interested in the Fuyu persimmon, would you share a couple of cutttings with me???
Farmer Nettie,
The persimmon. fruits are so pretty and I think I remember eating some from out of my grandmother’s backyard in Jackson, Mississippi as a very young girl age 5 or 6.
I will grow one in my backyard in a large pot.
Thank you. Hi
What a lovely idea for my road trip with the grandbabies. Thank you! I love these videos.
What an incredible harvest! I can’t wait for my tree next fall. Still a baby tree but hoping.
Fantastic harvest, brother Lead! Lady Lead got your back!
Rob
Nice harvest lead. I finally got my first one this year…. just one lol. I just received my Jiro and another Hana from Starks today. It’s my new favorite fruit.
Plz talk to the point… every body knows the benefits of fruits…
WOW you got food/fruit for storage! Bonita Apple Baum, you gotta put me on…
Handy to know how to do this without using sulphites. Thank you
Persimmons are delicious! I tried some for the first time this year when I saw them at my local Oriental market shop. They’re more orange-y in color and like an oval-round shape. I’ll have to remember this for next year when they come back.
50 degrees? Yeah right! My room is around 70 degrees! And drying fruits in 1-1 1/2 hours is ridiculous! It takes a day or more, with heat and a fan!
Bonita is beautiful. I never had a persimmon but they look so delicious.
My oven temp can’t be turned down to 50 degrees. Minimum is 150
So do they need to be consumed right away? Or can you store or can them once they’re dried?
Plz do not try to harm me and change my opinion. My family has already suffered a lot. Muds mera naseeb hai… I hv to be with him till I die. Unko bhi bas yehi matter karta that I shld not harm his image in society…. bas!!!!
Can you plant piece of persimmons tree limb for a quicker yield. I would like to plant one on a pot. Thanks for all you do farmer.
we used soft ball as the point for fruit to be invited to the party
Big like here, very informative, thanks for sharing ang more uploads please.
Those are beautiful! Can I grow a Fuyu in Connecticut? I saw a bag of sad persimmons at the store the other day. I just walked on by.
Great harvest! I’m going to get me a persimmon tree soon. They were my mom favorite.
Amazing Harvest Lead!! I Missed the Live, But I Enjoyed The Replay!! Banita Is a BEAST!! Beautiful FRUITS!!

heaven clections
reallya amazing info thanks alot
plz tell me how long we can store it? and thanks again
Lead, you can’t compare home grown with what’s being sold in supermarkets. Your Fuyu look beautiful. God bless!
U might try dipping in boiling water for 10 seconds (then drying) before hanging. This sterilized and may reduce the incidence of mold.
Bra what you gonna do with all those fruit..you can’t possibly eat all that( i mite be speaking to soon)
i a way they do most all candie in the 18th were hard candie and that takes hard ball
I’m in 10b. Never seen / ate a persimmon. Guess I gotta travel north to try one.
I would absolutely love to try this. I’ve never had a persimmon, and I want to change that next year. (Btw, persimmons remind me of the wonderful 2003 film The Same River Twice. Have you seen it? I definitely recommend it.)
I know this is November 2019 Video of Bonita She was beautiful and pregnant with tons of Persimmon Fruit. Very Productive. Understand your grief even better after the Tornado took Bonita down. I am gonna Trust and Believe along with you that Bonita is not Dead she still has life in her and God can bless her to come back fully again and be more productive A
MEN
That’s why you grow fruit right there Lead. Just for the excitement of picking and eventually enjoying them.
What about making the fruit into a tablet size so this way it might save more and holds longer by just swallowing 3x a day?
Great harvest! I just went to fast growing trees and they have one called the Giant Fuyu Persimmon. I think I might have to drop that $139.95 to get one!
It was a healthy video
And useful for everyone and tasty
Thank you so much, i Will surely try. Greetings from Belgium
I looovvveeeee dried fruit its the best way to shut my mouth from candy/sweets
Title: “How to Make Dried Fruit…”
First minute and a half of video: “Benefits of dried fruit”
….
R.I.P Miss Bonita!!! WOW she did give you one MEGA harvest before she succumbed to the storm…So SAD! I have nver tried the Persimmons…I now must!
I’ve never had one before. But they look so good. Bonito is really fertile this year. Thanks for sharing.
So what’s with the fan in the background? the 60 cycle hum was annoying…. maybe wear a microphone? not so expensive…
would have been more useful to not ramble for 1/2 the video. Also, maybe give specifications for temperature and cooking times for various fruits right from the start.
Wow! Watching your videos gives me so much hope and excitement for my fruit trees! Thanks for sharing.
LOVE IT IM GONNA BE DOING THIS ONE TO ADD TO MY PREPP STASH!!!
I planted mine a year ago and I have 2 persimmons and I got them protected in organza bags. They are starting to look like yours.
Why don’t u included how to grow & cultivate them,, to make the video even more longer…
I think I would cut them down to smaller pieces so they might take less time to dry… Thanks for sharing.
I loved seeing this process again. I hope to help some more next season.
Wow what a great harvest! I have never tried one before but I think I’ll wait until I grow my own.
grams had a dehydrator it was a box with a glass pane over it she had pops paint it black in side and she put the fruit on glass on a wire rack and set in the sun for 24 to 48 hrs dont recall it ever going to a 3rd day now mom put in an old broken station wagon other wise same concept
Sound easy! But it is not! I was used dehydrator to do it! But the colour and the textures very hard to control ! and the temperature and time is the key! Finally I give up!
Wow! Lead Those Purcimmons are beautiful, wish I had the space for a tree in my yard, It truly is a premium fruit to have, nice little profit if you sell it.
Peace and Blessings ❣️
I do not understand what are you trying to explain. My husb fixed my career to make his bhabhi happy, He took d charge of 2nd marriage to make bhabhi happy, He bullied me and my entire family to make bhabhi happy, I begged him saying my bro, dad, sis mother r in depression but he left me fr 3mnths n suggested divorce to make bhabhi happy, He is now ruining my relation to make bhabhi happy, He loves money, success, fame like any other person but come on its at the cost of me. He didnt evn want fatima evn after 2 n 1/2 yrs of marriage to make his bhabhi happy…… Do you get this!!! Meri bachi ko mujhe khush rakhna hai…. he is not a kid but hez a devil who brings me to his feet!!!!!!!!
and that is what my grand ma taught me as candied fruit any fruit
thanks Angela for posting. Looking forward to seeing the final results.
Haven’t even seen the video but I had to give it a “like” right off the bat once I saw the name “BONITA” in the title, MAN SHE IS A BEAUTY!!!
HAS ANYONE DONE THIS YET? I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IF IT REALLY WORKED?
Ummmm this must have been an English way. Sounds more like canning peaches.
VA recipes 17th and 18th century used fire place, no sugar, then draft or hung by fire place for 3 days sometimes 7, no soaking in water and kept peel. Fire place is a dry heat, Done. Looks like a odd colored raisin. Same for figs… Worked in George Washington birthplace colonial kitchen for 12 years. Never used sugar unless I was making a glaze or GW ginger snaps Mary’s recipe. Martha liked sugar in hers and Mary (GW mom) used apple sauce type, for sweetness. Lots of VA recipes usually call for fig water. Which is boiled down fig syrup.
thank you kindly.. i figured the oven would be pain..esp in summer..its so hot.
I wish I was close by. Their charging $3-$4 for one here in TX. So beautiful. The persimmons at the Asian store look like crap.
Poor Lead, Bonita got him singing “I don’t wanna leave u, but I gotta go right now, I’ll be back 2 hold u down.” I ❤ed watching u collect ur harvest, I have been binge watching u since I subscribed a few days ago.
Did you leave them out to soak in the sugar solution, or did you place them in the fridge?
Nope it takes more then 1-1,5 houers, More like 8-12 houer, Sometimes 12-24 houers depends of what u gonna dehydrate.
Hello from Indonesia. Your video is great! Is it possible to make the dried fruits into powder? i want make face mask at home
thanks for the upload you always bring good stuff to the table thanks once again,
Great harvest Lead! Think you’ll be reducing her height this winter or you’re going to end up with a 30 foot tree and you’ll never harvest half of the fruits. In Japanese commercial persimmon orchards some of the growers keep their persimmons to a maximum of about 8 feet and let them get wider
For how many months can we keeo this in the room temperature?
we ( my grand ma and i ) used to save the lite syrup to can fresh fruit of same as was processed in first place waste no want not
Thank you for sharing this, and especially for showing the book!
Hello new friend! YT just recommend you to me and i’m glad it did! I love your enthusiasm about this fruit! This is video #2 of your i’m watching and i’m hooked. I’ve heard of a persimmon tree but never ate one before. I want to grow my own food asap and grabbing all the knowledge I can from you guys on YT. I’m tuned in to you and ready to learn all your giving out in your videos. Catch you on the next one!
OK now that is very interesting. I love peaches, but the fur on the outside is like fingers on a chalk board. I never knew you could boil then, then cold rinse them to remove the skin. That alone made the video super cool neato!!!! (1960’s Minnesota for “thumbs up”)
When they come out of the dehydrator, are they kind of rubbery? I have seen some dried fruit that is chewy, but not dried to a freeze dried state.
All I could think of was a real nice granola, steel cut oats, and some brown sugar, then put on the peaches, and serve warm with ice cream!!!!!
I really like these videos thank you!!!!
