Double checked everything I did and can’t come up with what went wrong. So, I tried making this, and two to three minutes before finishing baking they were rising alright, but after that they just collapsed over themselves. Furthermore, they spread out completely and didn’t keep the cookie shape at all, and I ended up with something that looks like a oatmeal touille! Does anybody have a clue as to why that happened? I don’t have a mixer, and I think I couldn’t cream the butter properly, so that’s my only guess…

These were the best cookies I’ve ever made! I’ve never really liked raisins, so I swapped them out for 1/3 cup of mini semi sweet chocolate chips and a 1/3 cup of chopped walnuts, as well as used 1/4 cup of white sugar instead of 1/2 cup. They turned out amazing and I will definitely be using this recipe again!! Thank you!!

Gemma these oatmeal cookies are delicious and healthy. I never preferred to give my 3 years old cookies as I thought they don’t do much good on nutrition part. btw sausage gravy is kind of a mild spicy tang and its salty and peppery. i know you’ve probably never had it before, but try getting vegan sausage or seasoned temphe instead of beyond meat patties. Or maybe vegan chorizo would work? Either way, its kinda got a cajun flavor to it but its more peppery, just so you know. And it’s very thick and ‘floury’ in consistency.
If you have friends that aren’t vegan, try having them get a real thing of of meat-based sausage gravy to compare. You don’t have to eat it but it’d be a cool and challenging recipe to develop!

There’s a mistake in the measurements. You put 1/2 cup for one sugar and write 3 oz in brackets. And for the other sugar you put 1/2 as well but write 4oz.

It was bit sweeter for my taste though, will probably cut sugar into 3/4cup in total next time. And you know what, for those who like a little more crunch and still has softness in it, let it sit for 1-2 days. Man, i even loved it even more. Mine stayed few days because i cant finish those cookies alone ♀

Used Blended oats and ground almond instead of rolled oats.
I just made the 2nd recipe and they came out pretty descent, except mine was a bit dry but still chewy. I wonder if adding a tbsp or two of applesauce would help with that.

This is a great recipe however I would add half the amount of sugar, and if using coconut sugar I would add an extra tablespoon, also a teaspoon of vanilla would be delicious too. I reside in Australia and I found that alot of American recipes call for a lot of sugar, compared to recipes elsewhere. Could you please consider adding metric measurements to your recipes for us who don’t reside in the US.

i made these cookies they were delish!! they didnt spread out while baking so i pushed them down with a spoon, and i baked them for 15 min. love the recipe. the cookies are way better than the vegan cookies from tasty

The chocolate chips ruin the healthy part I think. They are mostly sugar instead of chocolate. Why not use pure cacao powder?

I made this today with 2 medium bananas a tiny bit more oats, chocolate chips and peanut butter, then baked at 160c fan for 16 minutes and they were fab. So far my healthy eating is going to plan, thank you.

could you make vegan biscuits and sausage gravy? I’m not vegan but I’m very interested to see how this would be interpreted by a vegan. Also I think sausage gravy has dairy in it, since i’m lactos-intolerant it’d be nice to have a ‘vegan’ alternative.
I gave these a try bcuz I was making the double chocolate chip ones weekly to satisfy my cookie addiction but kinda realized that I developed a problem. These are delicious and I don’t feel too bad about eating them bcuz they’re somewhat healthier lol

My cookies were good and looked just like yours but I think they were to too flat in the middle. I did add two small eggs instead of one large one. And I don’t like raisin in my cookies so I left them out. Help
