Genetically modified organisms plants and animals whose genes have been changed by scientists aren’t just thought over, they’re fought over. GMOs.GMOs are food items that have been made using genetic engineering techniques. They comprise 90% of soy, cotton, and corn grown in the United.Monsanto Co., the leading developer of so-called genetically modified organisms (GMOs), created a range of crops with a genetic trait that makes them impervious to the herbicide glyphosate.
Other types of GMO crops are genetically altered to be toxic to insects that might feast on the plants.1. What are GMO’sThere is a lot of talk about what is and isn’t a GMO. Essentially GMO stands for Genetically Modified Organism.
This means GMO isn’t a new crop or a new product it is a breeding technology used to enhance crops we already have. According to.Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are created when scientists take DNA from one species and insert it into another in a way that would never occur naturally. These genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are designed for many reasons, including: pesticide and disease resistance, drought/frost resistance, increased yields, enhanced nutritional content and.
GMOs Genetically Modified Organisms, or GMOs, are a major issue about which many of us know relatively little. We want to know what we’re eating, and we want to know how this issue is impacting the environment. Knowing more equips us to make the best decisions for ourselves and generations to come. But for now, confusion abounds: Today, just 28% of Americans say they are aware that genetically modified foods are being sold in supermarkets, and of the shoppers who know.
GMOs—or genetically modified organisms—are created in a lab by altering the genetic makeup of a plant or an animal. Here’s everything you need to know about USDA’s National Bioengineered (BE) Food In December 2018, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) finalized the standards for mandatory.GMOs are plants or animals whose cells have been inserted with a gene from an unrelated species in order to take on specific characteristics.
For example, plants might be.Genetically engineered crops are designed to be resistant to diseases and insects, or make them tolerant of herbicides. Soybeans, corn, canol.
A GMO is an organism whose genetic material has been altered. While that may sound daunting, purebred dogs that have been selectively bred to produce certain traits are considered genetically modified.Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are plants, animals or microorganisms whose genetic material has been altered in a way that does not occur naturally. GMO technology can introduce individual genes from one organism into another and even across species.A GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) is a laboratory process of taking genes from one species and inserting them into another in an attempt to obtain a desired trait or characteristic.
What kinds of genetically engineered traits have been added to our food crops?

The true story of corn, not GMO or other sudo science is humans, cows, chickens, a lot of the animals on earth should not be eating this plant period. Makes a good fuel but that ‘s about it. So Neil should go to Dubai, find Dr. Ahmed Hussein, and speak with him about Animal diets.Stop pretending to be expert on all subjects.
This world is pathetic we are nothing but a lab experiment we need our own land shut these clowns down this is murder.
Reason you didn’t cite the sources of the studies you mention about GMOs causing cancer? Also there are ways for things to kill bugs that are safe for us. It’s similar to why chocolate is bad for dogs but fine for us.
Funny. I’ve been eating clean for 5 years and anytime I eat out/eat something GMO I get diarrhea. I eat Non-GMO, Organic only and any everytime I make an exception, diarrhea and cramps/. EVERY SINGLE TIME over a 5 year span with several tests with it.
Guess it’s the poison
But when you transfer Wall street gen to plant you create monster!
YOU ARE SO PAID BY MONSANTO………..ITS SOOO CRYSTAL CLEAR HERE…
THEY ALWAYS FORGET…GROWING ANY KIND OF FOOD WITH DEADLY POISONS….YOU END UP WITH THE SAME DEADLY POISONS….!!!
Tyranny of the organic industry “Although GMOs are regarded as safe as their conventional counterparts by every major food safety authority in the world, the organic industry spends nearly $3 billion a year through over 330 different organizations leading with fear and “information spin” as an industry to sell their products. By creating an unfounded fear that requires tighter regulations on GMO crops, they are hoping to force them out of the food supply, thereby creating a bigger market share to sell more products in their more than $65 billion wheelhouse.
The unfortunate consequence of these [non-GMO] labels is that the food companies and lobbyists tend to create an unnecessary “us vs. them” divide. When food companies use fear against competitors to sell a product, farmers take it personally.”

Now why do you suppose organic food is so expensive?? Imagine what 3 billion dollars could do for humanitarian goals end a different disease forever every year…. End all hunger in at least one country…… Funding nasty propaganda? Really??
This problem with GMOs is the company behind it Monsanto has a very dark history. That’s why
GMOs cause no ecological damage? Can she be more misleading?! https://www.canr.msu.edu/news/superweeds-secondary-pests-lack-of-biodiversity-are-frequent-gmo-concerns
The solution has and always will be variey. If in Ireland they would have planted several different types of species of potatoes, a blight could only damage one type while sparing others. In Peru there are over 1000 different types of potatoes thus spreading the risk of contamination.
Very educational, thank you for putting this together so well.
So we have a scientist that is married to a farmer, hmmm very neutral indeed!
Real science and real truth right here -> GMO’s, by definition, are a novel life form with uncertain characteristics and effects. For a GMO producer to knowingly sell a GMO to an uneducated third party as an unadulterated, original plant or animal IS FRAUD!!!!!! What is going on is FRAUD and that is what people do not like. The only way we know plants are food is that we have thousands of years of experience of our children eating them with no ill effects. This experience does not exist with GMO’s so there is no way to tell if there are any possible long-term effects.

Wheat may not be GMO itself, but it’s withered with Roundup before harvest, to make harvesting easier. ALWAYS look for organic:
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/wheat-toxic/
It’s nitrogen that Sucks all the nutrients out of the soil to give us a lovely tomatoes and corn now that field is depleted of its nutrients however it will renew it’s self
Just because science has not been able to prove that GMO’s are bad does not mean they are good. Wile I understand the arguments in favor of GMO’s I cannot ignore the fact that there are to many unpredictable variables that science CAN’T say with 100% certainty that GMO’s are safe right now and specially in the future. Yes, there are all kinds of uncertainties that we all face but monkeying with life is asking for trouble! I also firmly believe that GMO’s from the get-go where driven by greed, just look at Monsanto. They tinker with our food just to make it bigger or more eye appealing which has NOTHING to do with “feed the world”! I think its undeniable that science is a 2 edged sword which has given mankind many wonderful things but it has also brought the entire world some horribly bad things as well. Ultimately its mankind’s blind trust in science alone that WILL result in its self destruction! All one has to do is take a look at the world today and see what science has given us. Was it really worth it?
Thanks for the video. GMOs have incredible potential, but they can pose problems in implementation. When I was in graduate school working on making GM plants I learned a few things. The people making them, for the most part, have no care about the flow of transgenes from their ‘product’ to native populations or other grower’s fields. This is genetic pollution. It seems that every time humans find some new ‘tool’ we rush headlong into it without worry for the future ramifications of our actions. I always wanted to talk about ways to control the flow of transgenes and no one understood why. Everyone had some great thing that was too important to take a little time and be careful to not make mistakes that are hard or impossible to undo. 20 years later and still no one cares. Just like how none of them cared 20 years ago when the first samples from heirloom strains of corn in “GMO free” Oxacao, Mexico showed they’d already been ‘infected’ with transgenes. These plants use WIND POLLINATION. How long until we decide to learn to walk before we run? Seriously.
:C oh please don’t mention the studies done on lab animals that were fed GMO food only and each generation became weaker and or unable to reproduce..due to offspring still births, but do go on using GMO’s and being a corporate shill, Neil DegrASSe
A new view to this GMO debate is environmental factors. For example, If we made the largest crops on earth pest and fungi resistant, what would happen to those pests and fungi? Would we cause extinction of an anthropod species? And if so where in the cycle of nature will be effected most? the less bugs around the less bugs there are for other organisms to eat and we know that when on class loses its food source, its only a matter of time till the next food source decreases and then the next.
One other major problem is how patent law and private seed saving are affected by patented strains. It creates dependence, and dependence is bad independent of the healthiness of the crop.
The truth about GMOs is that it is somewhere between the extremes. Some GMOs can be bad, but they are generally tested and the bad ones don’t make it to market. As genetic engineering advances, it will become easier and cheaper to very precisely make GMOs, which will make them even safer than they already are, and we need GMOs.
Why? The population is growing, dramatically. The climate is warming, dramatically. This means that there is and will be a higher demand for food in the coming years and simultaneously there will be a higher pest burden on crops in the coming years. Heirlooms are great, and I think they should continue to be grown by small local farmers and families, but for industrial production of food, GMOs should be used (with care). As time progresses, we will be able to increase crop yields, increase shelf life, increase taste, and decrease the need for pesticides and maybe even fertilizers. The current production per acre is way more than the production per acre just a hundred years ago.

also talk about the supposedly called climate change which is I think is a hoax!
The often reproduced image of rats with large tumors came from the fake scientist fraud Seralini. How dishonest can you get? The Seralini quack has been completely debunked and ejected from the scientific community for his lies about GMOs and rats. For starters, he used a species of lab rat known to always grow many tumors by age one no matter what it is fed! His fake ‘lab’ in France was funded by organic industry money. The EU launched a massive campaign 6 years ago to either verify or disprove all of Seralini’s claims from his organic farmer funded fake lab in France. Results? Not a single claim could be verified or reproduced, all study methods were found to be extremely faulty and misleading. Seralini will go down in history as the top anti-GMO fraud of this century! https://geneticliteracyproject.org/2019/02/20/seralini-pseudoscience-syndicate-lessons-learned-from-decade-long-assault-on-biotechnology-orchestrated-by-french-geneticist/ https://gmoinfo.eu/eu/news.php?news=BLOG-Misinformation-is-the-only-poison-the-end-of-the-Seralini-Affair

The affect of GMO on insects is not talked about, insects are extremely important for the environment.
1. Corporations have a history of lying and hiding the truth to maximize profits.
2. Government agencies have a revolving door with industry, so officials look the other way.
3. The public has lost trust in corporations and governments for good reasons.
4. Corporations lobbying against GMO labeling undermines consumer choice and trust.
Could nt they in bangladesh use rotinoin i forgot how to spell it be it is deturant it is made from chrisanthimums and other herbs and plants and is safe to use up to i think 3 days before eating even though there have been reports of alzheimers type symptoms if used in long periods of time but ive used it on crops as a back yard gardener for yeats and did not go through any changes i used to work a large backyard garden too do these people know about this organic pesticide???
Thank you for the info about BHT, I actually decided today not to buy the gluten free brown rice crispys cereal because it says BHT in the ingredients, so you helped me. Thanks
Fear mongers will have you, I seriously thought GMOs were the worst thing on the planet. Nonsensical people full of mucus In the brain.
just a bee keeper that did that with the leaves you have not and i do not piss up ropes ty
GMO’s aren’t the problem. It’s the companies like Monsanto making them. It is another unscrupulous US company completely focused on GREED. They don’t care one bit that people are starving to death in some countries, in Africa or India. Companies like Monsanto and Gilead should be eradicated and made illegal.
Thank goodness FDA and EPA testing of foods no longer finds dangerous levels of Atrazine, paraquat, DDT, fludioxonil, metolaclor, acephate and diazinon. Now they find minute traces of the least toxic herbicide ever formulated, glyphosate, which is 43% less toxic than table salt, and Bt, so non-toxic that organic farmers rely on it heavily. WHAT A DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT!!!! Anti-GMO idiots claim they want to go back to that nightmare list of much more toxic pesticides. Why???? I can’t imagine.
Bobby can you make a video about Juices? Thanks man you make the most honest videos!
Small veg farmer here. Was just watching this vid before going out to pick my summer squash. Passed my first tomato planting on the way and no surprise, all the leaves are succumbing to disease pressure as a result of recent heavy rains and now high temps and humidity. I’m all for GMOs to fight insects and disease but it certainly needs to be done wisely with best of intentions in mind, not corporate greed running the show. Human consciousness needs to evolve right along with the science. Thanks for an open minded look. I’m so tired of listening to people who’ve never held a hoe in their life, let alone raised a garden, espouse know it all opinions about growing food.
Is Organic Maltodextrin safe? My sister bought organic taco seasoning & everything was organic & then said “Organic Maltodextrin”?
GMO is a laboratory breeding method for seeds. It is never under any circumstances an actual food ingredient just as hybridization, grafting and seed selection are not food ingredients Lying organic thug trolls will try to use fear mongering to convince you GMO sourced foods are not as safe when in fact they are far safer. What is not tested, ever, for safety?? Organic, heirloom, hybrid and new truck farm breeds. They go straight to store shelves with zero testing and YOU are the guinea pig. Look at what has happened because of this fact that never happened with GMO foods: “A year ago[2003] in New Zealand, there was an outbreak of food poisoning from a “killer zucchini” that hospitalized a number of people. Environmentalists jumped all over the story until it was determined that the culprit was “organic” zucchini. Plants are chemical factories that produce a multitude of toxins that protect them. An outbreak of aphid infestation had minimal impact on conventionally grown zucchini. The more vulnerable “organic” zucchini was genetically inferior because of inbreeding. They expressed dangerously high levels of the toxin curcubitan. Had this been a transgenic plant, we would be hearing about it ad nauseam, but being that it was “organic,” it was quickly consigned to an Orwellian memory hole.” http://www.uh.edu/trdegreg/genetic_engineering_not_significantly.htm
Starlink corn had been approved only for livestock but not for human consumption when what company jumped the gun and brought it on the market. They do make sure things are fit for humans before letting it on the market Almost.
Organic industry tyranny for 32 years and counting: “Although GMOs are regarded as safe as their conventional counterparts by every major food safety authority in the world, the organic industry spends nearly $3 billion a year through over 330 different organizations leading with fear and “information spin” as an industry to sell their products. FDA launches “Feed Your Mind” website to educate about GE foods
“On March 4, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) launched its “Feed Your Mind” website, which is the first public-facing product from the $7.5 million that Congress appropriated starting in 2017 for an agricultural biotechnology education and outreach initiative. According to the FDA, the initiative’s goal is to “share science-based information that educates, informs and broadens understanding about agricultural biotechnology for consumers.” Congress (and the special interests that lobbied for the appropriation) clearly intended to use the authoritative voice of the FDA to increase consumer understanding of agricultural biotechnology and correct misconceptions and misinformation.
The initiative’s website includes fact sheets, infographics and videos. It will be followed later this year and in 2021 by additional materials for middle school classrooms, resources for health professionals and consumer materials.
In reviewing “Feed Your Mind,” one finds information that is scientifically accurate (with reliable references) and relatively easy for a non-scientist to understand. If you know nothing about GMOs and read the website’s contents, you will clearly be better informed about what GMOs are, although not necessarily about why GMOs have been so controversial. The question that remains is how this website (which is not easy to find from the FDA’s homepage, nor does it quickly appear when entering basic questions about GMOs into an internet search engine) will educate a significant segment of American consumers.
Will the FDA promote the website and its materials through an ad campaign? Will they send emails or postcards to Americans telling them to visit the website? I cannot imagine that the average American consumer visits FDA’s website with any great frequency. One can reasonably assume that the number of consumers who will search for the “Feed Your Mind” website, even if they know it exists, will be extremely small. So far, the FDA has only announced the website to its list of stakeholders. Much more outreach will be needed if the information they have generated is to have the impact Congress intended.” Article source: https://geneticliteracyproject.org/2020/05/06/us-government-launches-gmo-website-may-allow-gm-crops-in-some-wildlife-refuges/ FDA site link: https://www.fda.gov/food/consumers/agricultural-biotechnology?utm_campaign=CFSANCU_FeedYourMind_03042020&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Eloqua
GMO’s need to be studied before released. They’re not. What we consume effects us. In many ways. Today everything is about the dollar. You are worth less next to the dollar. This “pro” gmo video will get them paid.DOLLAR
You should make a video on Monsanto as well as Bayer of the Nazi pharmaceutical company
The biggest force i fear on this planet are dumb uneducated belivers people who belive they found the holy grail of knowledge somewhere within the internet. Sadly you find this kind of people in every topic. Nuclear Power, ClimaChange, Medicine, GMO, Mobile Network, Internet Privacy, etc. etc. etc. All the Discussions get destroyed by dumb uneducated people. In my opinion they are the biggest threat to our enviroment and society, not politicians, they.
GMO to reduce CO2 and xxx-zide Emissions are good. GMO that increse CO2 and xxx-zide Emissions are bad. It’s that easy. The health part is completly disconnected from that.
GMOs are being protested in some countries but in Uttarakhand ( india ) we really need the GMOs

That goes against what GMO are made for so they don’t have to be coted with glycosides.
There is no need for GMOs, The world’s population could fit in the state of Texas and have 1/8 of an acre of land.
People Strongly Against GMOs Had Shakier Understanding Of Food Science, Study Finds Jan 26, 2019 “People who most intensely oppose genetically modified food think they know a lot about food science, but they actually know the least, according to a peer-reviewed paper published in January in the journal Nature Human Behaviour.
GMOs are widely considered safe by scientists, but opponents have said they want more science on the potential harm so that subjective arguments aren’t part of the equation. However, previous surveys have shown that providing more scientific facts about GMOs to people doesn’t change their minds.
The survey, conducted by four universities, asked 2,000 people in Europe and the United States how much they knew about genetically modified food, what their opinion was and how intense it was.” Read the full coverage at: https://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2019/01/26/687852367/people-strongly-against-gmos-had-shakier-understanding-of-food-science-study-fin

“Biotech news coverage in English-language Russian media fits the profile of the Russian information warfare strategy described in recent military reports. This raises the question of whether Russia views the dissemination of anti-GMO information as just one of many divisive issues it can exploit as part of its information war, or if GMOs serve more expansive disruptive purposes. Distinctive patterns in Russian news provide evidence of a coordinated information campaign that could turn public opinion against genetic engineering. The recent branding of Russian agriculture as the ecologically clean alternative to genetically engineered foods is suggestive of an economic motive behind the information campaign against western biotechnologies. Concurrent with our investigation, there has been considerable popular debate about Russian meddling in western elections and the role that social media and online news may have played in these efforts. The accumulated evidence indicates that Russia is targeting western democracies with an ‘influence campaign’ drawing from a large number of seemingly unrelated social, political, economic, and environmental topics. According to recent declassified assessments by military agencies, this represents a new and more sophisticated asymmetrical war in which Russia is alleged to exploit a network of state-funded news agencies, trolls, bots, and activists to encourage dissent and polarize the electorate in service of eroding trust in western institutions (e.g., elections, government officials and regulatory agencies, capitalism, and an independent press6,7 and National Intelligence Council 2016). To date, much of the attention in the US has been on the use of social media giants Facebook and Twitter to spread highly polarizing, ideologically extreme, and conspiratorial propaganda.8 Although there has been less attention paid to the sources of disinformation campaigns,9 two Russian state-funded news organizations, RT (Russia Today) and Sputnik, were singled out by defense agencies as central actors in this influence campaign. Indeed, the US version of RT was recently directed under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, a post-World War II law aimed at preventing foreign influence from affecting US policy, to register with the Justice Department as a foreign agent. Twitter recently banned RT and Sputnik from purchasing advertisements on their network and more recently closed the accounts of several thousand accounts linked to Russian foreign intelligence operations. Other social media outlets, such as Reddit, have recently taken similar action.
We found that RT and Sputnik produced more articles containing the word ‘GMO’ (53%) than the other five news organizations combined (Fig. 1). RT accounted for 34% of the articles we collected, followed by Sputnik (19%), Huffington Post (18%), Fox News (15%), CNN (8%), Breitbart News (6%), and MSNBC (<1%). Article classification revealed that RT and Sputnik consistently portrayed genetic modification in a negative light. Among US news organizations, the left-leaning Huffington Post produced the most ‘anti’ articles, followed by CNN. Fox News produced the most mixed or neutral coverage of GMOs. Nearly all articles in which the term GMO appeared as ‘click bait’ were published by RT. These findings implicate Russian News as an important, if largely unknown, purveyor of anti-GMO information."

ohh dear god…. roundup does not kill bugs, it kills weeds. Please educate yourself. The plant does not kill weeds, Glyphosate does, but it wont kill the corn, because corn is immune to it. Bacteria in the soil will break down Glyphosate.
Please stop fear mongering, and get the basics right at least.
So, we have an astrophysicist getting to the bottom of GMO’s. What’s wrong with this picture. Tyson has little to no scientific credibility.
To me the biggest problem with GMOs is that they greatly reduce the genetic diversity of crops. Since all seeds come from a lab they are almost clones of each other and are more likely to suffer from a pandemic.
This is a big issue because the potato famine happened exactly because all potatoes were clones. Potatoes are reproduced by planting last year’s potatoes, not from seeds, thus not benefiting from sexual reproduction. GMOs have the exact same problem, and the ownership these companies have over the seeds ensures it will stay that way.
Wheat growers didn’t want roundup ready wheat NOT because they didn’t want roundup ready wheat.. They didn’t want it because it would disrupt markets that these people demonized and disrupted.
The lies are fat here
Seriously? “The Russians” are trying to make GMOs look evil by posting memes… I thought this was REAL science…
Science and logic is useless. With a theoretical IQ curve, 50% of the population falls to the left of the curve. That’s 50% of the world who are born stupid and breeding fast. These stupids are not afflicted with the condition called science. As long as it FEELS good, they’ll do it. Because BEING good is never their goal. BEING anything with this 50% is a genetic impossibility.
Cava and Hope are two brands of hummus that have good ingredients. Cava my first favorite and Hope is my second
How do I know if the beef is fully grass fed or if it falls under the only 4 months out of the year being grass fed?
WARNING Wheat is Always GMO!! I don’t really know where he Got that it isn’t! There are Dr’s way older then him speaking about GMO and how when their Families farmed the wheat was way different don’t Believe what he is saying about the wheat!
Another problem with GM is that Monsanto sells all the seeds which are all clones of the same crop leading to no natural resistance to an insect infestation from genetic diversity.
JUST STÓP LYING!! GMO,S WILL KILL YOU!! USE YOUR BRAIN!!! GENETICALLY…WOW…NEW WORLD ORDER…HOW MUCH DID THEY PAY YOU TO LIE???
I bought an Annie’s dressing that has good ingredients in it.
Gmos products are one of bill gates and company for world depopulation

Erik Osterling: The link takes you to an 80-page document, produced by the UN Codex Commission on GMO. http://www.fao.org/docrep/011/a1554e/a1554e00.htm It includes many safety protocols that GMO Corporate has actively been AVOIDING: This successful AVOIDANCE OF INTERNATIONAL SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS has made them $ Billions from a product that is an EXPERIMENTAL FOOD SOURCE IN HUMANS. That’s right, Erik, GMO Food-safety is scientifically UNTESTED in Humans, ever since sales were approved in 1996 in the US!!
Click the link, download the pdf, read it….Get some REAL SCIENCE FACTS about GMO Foods.
Monsanto provided agent orange in Vietnam and what you are not saying in this video is how they engineer these crops not to be affected by glyphosate which they saturate the crops in and is a cancer forming agent period.
Will GMO’s produce seed that will grow next year’s crop? Will GMO’s fertilise a neighbouring field of non-GMO plants, leading to the extinction of non-GMO’s? Why develop a rice with carotene for a people who rarely have oil to mix with the rice, and so cannot absorb the vit A?
I’m hosting a party on Neil’s NSF yacht, bring a good attitude
Another thing he is wrong about, is the beef and dairy cattle are not fed just corn silage. They are put out on pasture 85% of the time and when the get sent to the feed lot that’s when they feed grain and it actually provides better taste and marbling, farmers have to pay someone to buy grain as feed, but they can put cows on pasture for free, what he says just doesn’t make sense and his ignorance in the field shows.
HERE ARE 6 GMO FACTS:
1)ZERO CLINICAL HUMAN TRIALS, ZERO CONTROLLED EMPIRICAL / SCIENTIFIC DATA, UNQUANTIFIED HUMAN RISK IN GMO FOOD.
2) CODEX ALIMENTARIUS RECOMMENDS HUMAN SAFETY TESTS FOR GMO FOODS…NONE EVER DONE!!
3) THE PRO-GMO GLP BLOG: 8.7% OF GOV’T FUNDED ANIMAL STUDIES ON FDA APPROVED GMO CROPS ARE ‘LESS SAFE’ AND/OR CAUSE HARM
4) UN FAO STATEMENT: GMO IS NOT REQUIRED TO SOLVE THE WORLD HUNGER PROBLEM.
5) ISAAA GMO DATABASE EXISTS BECAUSE ‘GMO’ IS DISTINCT FROM EXTANT SELECTION / BREEDING METHODS.
6) US NAS 2016: NO SIGNATURE YIELD-IMPROVEMENT OF GMO ACROSS AMERICA, COMPARED TO NON-GMO.
We need GMO’S like we need another hole in our head. The first problem is CORPORATE ownership of seeds, just trust us its perfectly safe look at all the science we have backing up our claims. The second problem is CORPORATIONS claiming its their job to feed us. The third problem is what they are calling science isn’t objective its subjective and carefully crafted to reach the predrawn conclusion the CORPORATION intended before the first study was done.
And the CORPORATE interests are getting nervous and have begun to push the bigger AGENDA 21/2030 that strips all people of their natural born rights. Whenever you hear SUSTAINABILITY, CLIMATE CONTROL, GMO’S, UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME and that all those things are “needed” and endorsed by SCIENCE you are being lied too. It wasn’t too long ago these same mad scientists proposed LOBOTOMYS as the answer and these hacks today are no different. All their answers are a contradiction to Nature.
All the problems we are facing today begin and end at their doorstep. Like it or not we are going to have to deal with these terrorists and the sooner the better for all of us.
I don’t mind GMO because protects are crops from fungus, bacteria, others that harmful to humans.
White rice doesn’t contain micronutrients? I mean it does but okay…
i got to 7.56 mins, and thats when the bs hit the fan……………
This is why you should have to pass a tough logic test before being allowed to vote, all these idiots having a voice are setting the world back. It’s the same people who care about nuclear energy of lab grown meats. We need an absolute monarchy where people have no social place in politics.
Managed to talk about GMO’s for 20mins & tell you how “awesome” they are without providing a single valid point as to why
My name is Pawan Ramnarain. I want to remind readers of all the huge advantages of GMO crops:
1) The thing about GMOs is that they have been so completely tested clinically and by government safety agencies.
2) All research done is peer reviewed and findings are supported by all legitimate science organizations globally.
3) Companies that produce GMOs are a gift to humanity. NGOs run by the the smartest people on this planet also invest in GMO seed to be given away free to the poorest farmers. Farmers welcome this help graciously.
4) GMOs are the most affordable because they allow us to skip pesticide and herbicide use and avoid personal contamination by pesticides that are not applied thanks to modern crop science.
5) The pros mentioned in this video can not be achieved by conventional breeding so I respect that. We now achieve goals in better seed that was impossible before.
6) People are too poorly educated to understand modern crop science so we rely on our crop scientists to get the seed we desperately need.
7) People have stopped the bogus lawsuits because we learned it was a scam made possible by a huge bribe of organic lobby money delivered to the IARC.
I can keep going on with this list to show you why people are embracing GMOs due to all their advantages. But hey, farmers have the right to fail so there is no pressure. I’m glad for the new perfect plant based replacements for meats like beef, this is a sustainable move we have to make.
GMO’s is about control. Ever had an addiction? You will never be able to plant independently, it’s beyond shady.
I read in a book called “Lifespan” by David Sinclair that said, like most new discoveries that were brought to the masses way too early, is that the average person’s understanding of these new developments is limited to none, and that alone can inspire fear. Also, the term GMO has been ingrained in a massive part of the world’s population, not by years education and slow integration, but by the media, and in a very negative way. I feel like there’s a fine line between wanting to push new tech into the world asap vs spending time to slowly educate the world and waiting for these things to become common knowledge in order to avoid misunderstanding and irrational fear.
Now we’re faced with an even greater problem of having to REeducate the world, which is difficult in and of itself, let alone having to deal with the millions of people who are hell-bent on destroying everything about GMOs.
Nice and NDGT failed by AVOIDING REAL SCIENCE of the UN Codex Commission on GMO. They also ignored UNLABELLED GMO sale in America for over 2 decades (no traceability), they over-looked in-house (producer ONLY) testing that suffices for the FDA to sign a GMO crop off as GRAS (no conflict of interest, right? Boeing/FAA much?), they overlooked that the GLP / BIOFORTIFIED / GENERA finds that 8.7% -15% of animal safety tests on FDA-approved crops FAIL, they over-looked that there is ZERO post-marketing surveillance (thanks FDA!!). They over-looked that there has NEVER BEEN A SINGLE HUMAN SAFETY STUDY on GMO wholefood….WOW, Science! Like asbestos, right? Its the new MIRACLE…until it isn’t.
GMO Food proliferation is INSANE HUMAN EXPERIMENTATION.
We love you Art….but hope someday (after knowing how coke and other things are poisoning your body), you will love your self enough to quit eating the crap food!!! Said with love, because we want you around for a long time!!!
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT GMO LABELING IN 2020
You may recall, in 2017 the government passed a national Genetically Modified Foods (GMO) labeling law to have one uniform standard for labeling GMOs, also referred to as BE (bioengineered). Congress passed the National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard in 2016. This required the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to establish a labeling standard for GM food. These requirements were originally set to take effect by July 2018. But the USDA extended the implementation two years after a public comment period. On December 20, the USDA released the official law, which they will implement at the beginning of 2020 and require food companies to comply by January 1, 2022. You can read the entire current proposal here.
WHAT DOES GMO LABELING MEAN FOR YOU?
In the near future, you’ll start to see GMO/BE foods labeled in a variety of ways. While companies aren’t required to use the GMO label until January 1, 2022, you might start seeing the new labels sooner. Many companies have already started labeling their products and support this national labeling standard. The rule states, “bioengineered food … shall not be treated as safer than, or not as safe as, a non-bioengineered counterpart.” That’s because research has proven that bioengineered foods are safe. These new food labels are simply informative for the consumer, not indicative of safety or nutrition.
WHAT WILL GMO LABELS LOOK LIKE? Once put into law, you will see three different labeling methods:
Text on food packaging (example: Partially produced with genetic engineering)
A symbol that represents bioengineering
An electronic or digital link that can be scanned
Smaller food manufacturers with limited resources may also choose to label their GM foods using a telephone number that can provide additional information or an internet URL.
The law requires labeling only on bioengineered foods intended for human consumption that contain more than five percent GMO ingredients. Instances where GMOs do not have to be labeled include:
Foods derived from animals, such as eggs, meat and milk
Refined ingredients like oils and sugars
Food served in a restaurant
Foods manufactured and sold by very small manufacturers (local shops, etc.)
Any non-food products
While GMO labeling may be changing, the safety of our food isn’t. Just as before, food labels should guide to make the right choice for you and your family – not scare you into making a more expensive purchase. Farmers, parents and experts have shared their thoughts on GMOs and making the best choice for their family.”
Great video..thank you..only thing left in my fridge is some strawberries..
You do know that you have to always have to rebuy your seeds from the GMO supplier. Because you can’t reuse your seed because it isn’t fertile it is sterile. Which then makes them monopolize the farming industry and take from farmers hard-earned money and land right out from under them.
https://allianceforscience.cornell.edu/blog/2016/05/gmo-safety-debate-is-over/
Jefferey Smith believes the process of genetic engineering is inherently dangerous. He ignores every nature “gmo” and decades of mutagenesis and breeding that stands against this belief
Corn and Soy are NOT modified with roundup. Roundup is a chemical herbicide not a pesticide. It has no genetics so it can’t be included in the plant dna. The plants may be modified to be resistant to roundup, but roundup, once again, a chemical, is NOT part of the plant genetics. Get your facts straight before talking crap.
2020 in and amidst the pandemic issue, we filipinos cannot buy this rice anywhere. Can you help us give link? Where to buy the seedlings?
Creamy Jif peanut butter, claims on their label that they are Non-GMO, but list ingredients (less than 2%) ” fully hydrogenated vegetable oils, rapeseed and soybean”.
How can the manufacturers of Jif claim that Jif is non-GMO?
Dear Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s: Please allow FlavCity to put Bobby Approved stickers in your stores.

Dude I Can’t Believe you said Wheat is Never GMO!! Wheat is Always GMO!! Where the Hell did you get that from?? There renowned Dr’s that Speak out about the Dwarf Wheat that started when Monsanto took over and it use to not be that way!!
Wonderfully done educational production. Smooth sponsor transition. However the mention of Russian propaganda to defame GMOs is a bit on the nail, it would cause an quick bias for many american viewers due to politics so that part I wouldn’t have used but overall great video.
Bobby you need to go to Sprouts. Big in Texas and Southwest. Much cheaper than whole food competitors
The FDA has allowed farmers to feed their animals corn and call the meat grass fed, providing the starch is removed from the corn and of course the corn is GM corn. By the way the german co. BAYER now own MONSANTO and are selling Roundup in Europe after it waas banned there for years.
Thanks for spreading ignorance asswipe. Maybe say why you don’t believe in GMO grown pesticides instead of saying you simply don’t believe in them.
What do you think of possibly using genetic modification techniques like crispr on humans?
Just so you know GMOs have been around for 40 years and not a single case of illness or anything of the like has been caused by them, there are only 11 commercially available crops on the market which include, summer squash, soybean, corn ( field and sweet), papaya, canola, alfalfa, sugar beets, potatoes and apples. Also if there was never a Genetically modified papaya there wouldn’t be papayas on the market they would be extinct, read more here: https://foodinsight.org/how-gmo-technology-saved-the-papaya/ everything in this video is simply just wrong and misinforming, hopefully anyone that reads this has the courage to ignore what he says because there is no sources to back up his claims and he does no research on any of this.
anyone have some sources for Pamela Ronald’s comments? need for a report
So she lost me when she said that you control disease with insecticide.
I’m glad that Bobby acknowledges that GMOs aren’t inherently bad. GMO technology can be used to do good things, even make foods more nutritious, unlike what Monsanto is doing.
Aha! The cartoon astrology scientist talk about Gmo…
Thanks Bobby very informative video I’m in the store examining all nutritional information and labels
If we didnt create monoculture farms, the problems that wipe out crops would be less prevalent.
Fields of all potatoes means that a problem that kills potatoes and their edibility will become wide spread.
Variety is the spice of life.
The rich, wealthy, those who sell them and those who can afford to adjust their budget and buy organic do not buy GMOs they buy real food for their families. But the millions who can’t afford it and are poor are experimented on for the benefit of the big companies. All this while those on top know all along of the dangers. People must eat so they eat what they can afford. Sad facts.
The Kellogg’s brothers would be rolling over in their graves…considering they were in the business of health.
I’ve just started getting Butcher Box ground beef. Is it still ok to get the Walmart organic grass fed beef? Shouldn’t it be proven to be grass finished as well?
Life would be so much easier if we didn’t have to dodge Monsanto.
If you read any academic peer reviewed paper on GMOs including studies that are several years long (longer than the unverified independent studies), there are no negative health effects in any way. I would be careful spreading information that has been categorically reported false by the science community. GMOs science is as tested as climate science. We have over 20 years of strong data that would disagree with you. I am a big advocate of a healthy diet and love your videos but be careful when you separate from solid science.
Bobby knows his stuff. Hes teaching not promoting. And even if he was he’s doing these videos for the interest of the people
Can you recommend a good, healthy, less processed oatmeal with high protein? It seems almost impossible to find anything worth buying with all these hidden “natural flavorings” in there
I have seen the movie where the government tried to manipulate the mood of citizens. It didn’t end well
I still don’t trust any non-organic fruit, especially if you eat the skin. Even organic has different grades that allow certain amounts of chemicals to be sprayed on them. Always look for the circular Certified Organic symbol.
Two things you skip GMO for corn has now made it where only one company owns 99% of all the corn seed in the world. That company has now raised the price where farmers do not spray insecticide but that over fertilize in order to make the same $$$ from the GMO seed at the monopoly price. Many would rather take the chances with bugs than slavery under a monopoly that is very greedy!!! Step out of the plant and into the economy!! IT is all about $$$ not science for plants!!!
I believe the GMO is the future and the Savior of mankind, not just in food industry, but many others, like pharmaceutical industry
I’ve been writing a book about a blanket GMO ban, but I never thought any politician would be stupid enough to actually back one. I should have known better.
Things to buy from the middle isles: dry beans, tea, spices, sadly little else.
Nope, we don’t need. We choose to do but we don’t need. We need to return to growing our soil then our plants we put into the soil will be healthy and we can afford to share with the insects of the world. You can also put chickens in the garden or farm to help control the insects if you want. We want the easy way rather than the right way. We choose to spray our food with poison. So wrong on all levels. The deaths of pesticides in India are so high its hard to justify then growing a crop that is so deadly. Just stop. We don’t need all this pollution and poison in our environment.
Why do the 100% vegetable oils with the ingredients are soybean say no trans fats on the label
You know what is ridiculous is that you’re a big joke on you tube were your telling people to don’t buy drink or eat this cause it has GMO while you’re friend over there is drinking a GMO coca cola. How funny is that. Not only that you was just at the soda aisle telling people stop buying sodas who are you.
I dont believe this, because it has been scientificly proven that BT (the chemical you were talking about)
Is only poisonous to bugs and not humans. If you drink coffee you’re drinking insect poison,
If you eat chocolate you’re eating dog poison
No hate i respect your idea but science says that GMO corn and soy will not harm you
(edit): some medicine is GMO
there were cases in India regarding GMO crops. They needed more water and most of all, they can’t be planted for the next harvest. Farmers needed to buy again from the supplier. What happened after that? farmers suicides
Scientifically, there is called long term effect. has this GMO food tested for 20 years? Industry wants to enter the market ASAP, not 20 years later. So basically, there is no scientifically long term studies
Labeling it as GMO is not really bad. Why do they need to hide themselves to enter the market? Unless there is something they want to hide
The reason why they used poor countries to use GMO is to test the food effect on humans. Why don’t use it in own country and sell it domestically? Once the population can accept and no side effect then export it to other countries
We are OK if we are late to the technology for 20 years for this kind of adoption
the H1N1/SARS/GMO argument sits dangerously close to antivax rhetoric. These people are dangerous.
Those in the comments who can’t think beyond “critics are just monsanto trolls”: you guys are braindead. These people you listen are cult leaders, they sell books, fake medicines and paid conferences and they make a lot with it. That works because you guys love to shut off your brain when someone says “corporation is bad and pays people to say otherwise”, you love that stuff, even if there is no scientific basis to these claims.
They thrive on your belief. You make them rich. They don’t care about your health.
They’re cult leaders.
Time and money.
How ABOUT NUTRIENTS AND TASTE.
U TAKE UR FUKN cardboard FAKE fukn food. And shove it up ur krotch dumb bitch
Experts… Hmm. Jeffrey Smith, a dance instructor who practices “yogic flying” and really doesn’t know anything about science. Vandana Shiva claims to be a quantum physicist, but her doctorate was in philosophy and dealt with why philosophy said that a physics concept couldn’t be true that was eventually proven true. https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Vandana_Shiva She has no actual expertise in biology or genetics and continues to peddle lies that have been disproven time and time again. Caitlin Shetterly, I had no idea who this person is, but Wikipedia says “After being diagnosed with a supposed sensitivity to genetically modified corn, Shetterly wrote a 2013 piece in Elle called “The Bad Seed: The Health Risks of Genetically Modified Corn”, and her third book, Modified (Putnam, a Division of Penguin Random House).” Yeah, this isn’t a thing, there’s no such thing as a sensitivity to genetically modified corn or genetically modified anything. It makes zero biological sense, and no one but Dr. Nick from the Simpsons or a fake doctor like a “naturopath” or “energy healer” would diagnose anyone with this. Carey Gillam… I don’t know if she actually believes in what she says or not, but she’s a paid lobbyist for USRTK, an anti-GMO group. Her book that she is pimping here is a rehashing of her bad arguments that have been shot down repeatedly https://biofortified.org/2018/02/hogwash-review-whitewash-carey-gillam/
I look forward to The Real Truth About Health panel on what The Experts Want You To Know About Money featuring Bernie Madoff, a homeless guy from the alley, Al Capone, and MC Hammer.
Normal agricultural modifications, such as grafting and the like, do not alter basic genomes. Alter all you want, but keep it in the test phase for a couple of decades to better understand the complete overall ramifications of such modifications. “We fixed it, here, eat it.!” Not cool. Growth hormones in livestock was said to be safe, and today preteens are having babies. Coincidence? Sure it is. Such changes MUST be studied for years to understand what those changes will do in the long run.
Tortillas:( why why kind of new it but didn’t want to accept it . Thanks for your videos!!!!❤️
Regenerative agriculture is fast becoming the new understanding. Responsible farmers who’ve taken the time to study their soils over decades have shown clearly that GMOs are not relevant. The main purpose of GMO’s is to patent life, making a profit over some thing that is free to all humanity. Soil science has come along way since the 1800 a diversity of crops improves soil health and therefor plant health, many are waking up to the fact that monoculture practices are detrimental to soil building. Nature has been doing it way longer than us. Cultivating an attitude of observation and of reciprocity is a good place to start.
Russia is funding online articles that question the safety of genetically modified crops and biotechnology in an effort to hurt U.S. agricultural interests and sow public divisions, according to Iowa State University researchers
The researchers said that if Moscow was able to turn U.S. public opinion against genetically modified organisms (GMOs), it could hurt the U.S. agricultural industry, which relies heavily on genetically engineered crops, the Des Moines Register reports.
The researchers found more articles mentioning GMOs in the U.S. versions of the Russian-backed news sites RT and Sputnik than five other American news organizations — Breitbart News, Huffington Post, Fox News, CNN and MSNBC — combined.
Among the seven news sites, the two Russian news sites produced more than 50 percent of all GMO-related articles and usually portrayed GMOs negatively. RT published “nearly all” of the articles where the term GMO appeared as “click bait,” the researchers said.
The researchers said the anti-GMO effort was part of Russia’s push to grow its own agricultural sector, which is the country’s second-largest industry behind oil and gas, the researchers noted. Russia banned growing genetically engineered crops in 2016.
They also said the anti-GMO articles appeared to be trying to create divisions in the U.S. similar to efforts during the 2016 election.” http://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/375655-russia-trying-to-sway-us-opinion-on-gmos-researchers-say
When is someone gonna kick costco in the ass and start a real food store, call it gmo free store..
We grew plants normally for hundreds of years. I’m totally anti-gmo. Did you hear about the starving country we sent a bunch of free gmo seeds and they burned them? GMOs genetically pollute natural plants they cross with. I don’t think humans should be dabbling with the building blocks of life. There are SO many ways to use selective breeding to do what GMOs do (I’m a horticulture major). These GMO companies are evil, they are running around the globe patenting the genes for life in any country they legally can. They patent their seeds so farmers cant save seed and replant it (forcing them to go back to the company for seed yearly). They will control the food supply if we don’t stop this shit. And I didn’t even mention the bee problem
Remember to 100% Organic. Regular Organic only needs to be 90% Organic.
Are bananas on the clean or dirty list?
They aren’t mentioned on either.
Syntropic agriculture can turn a wasteland into a Forest, its basically terraforming, NO NEED for Cancer Cluster GMO…
Pro GMO video, engineering has always created pollution, GMO foods are engineering, Monsanto is engineering, this is not the only way ahead…. Do more research on other possibilities
So, Frankincense and citrus orange are the two best things I can think of for anxiety…best before tests too. Just make sure they’re the food grade FDA approved oils… I was told by a few people that lithium orotate also helps. Cheers and thanks Neil and et al!
Bobby, I’m just confused by why you said that wheat wasn’t a GMO. There’s virtually no such thing anymore as a non-GMO grain in the world. The grains of the world are all genetically modified, upon modified, upon modified… mostly for the last 60-70 years. It’s bad news and is linked to nearly every modern illness. Please, reconsider what you said, or maybe do a video on this subject. Thanks!
Art, you are terrible! I hope you enjoyed drinking those GMOs.
neil degrasse better stick to astro physics he lends is reputation to gmos being ok,nothing could be further from the truth, doubt what i am implying? then watch this and decide for your self
Jeffrey M. Smith Why It’s Imperative to Avoid GMOs And Roundup
The reason some European countries have “banned GMOs”, which really isn’t quite as you’d think, is because the governments involved bowed to pressure from misinformed consumers.
Talking about wealthy corporations and their lobbying pressure, what about the fact that the Organic Trade Association pulled in $30 billion, two times more than Monsanto earned, in 2014? Let’s be honest about the marketing efforts of industrial “organic” producers. They’re not saints, they’re corporations trying to manipulate the markets to be favorable to them in business so they can make more profits.
Let’s also ignore the 30 years long trillions of meals study showing that “GMO” crops do not have any negative health impacts on humans or other animals.
Moreover, one cannot be an environmentalist while opposing GE crops. GE crops require less water, less pesticides, and produce more food on the same amount of land as conventional crops. Fundamentally, so-called industrial “organic” though true organic farming doesn’t necessarily mean saying no to GE crops is the art of feeding hundreds from the same land that could feed thousands.
Did monsanto fund this vids?
What about the poisons going into the ground from the specific fertilisers and insecticides that the farmers are legally obliged to purchase?
It isn’t being used for good, it’s being used to create profit and control.
gmo is bad for people/nature but good for corps.
Please do a segment on survival freeze dried foods… Auguson farms, Mother Earth, wise, mountain farms, etc. planning on purchasing some to take on camping trips
Dear Bobby, I love what you do! I am also a food and health nerd, as well, but I just have to say this, as you’ve said it in a few videos: CLA is pronounced conjugated “lin-oh-LEE-ick” acid, not “lin-oh-ick” acid. I just don’t want people snickering behind your back, because your information is so important for everyone. I’d also tell you if you had spinach in your teeth:) Much love, xoxo
Thanks for another informative video. Look at the massive aisle of sodas no wonder we have so much diabetes and pre-diabetes which means a 4 fold risk of Alzheimer’s read the book “Sugar Blues,” it’s been around for a long time. I bake keto.

No effect on humans?! there is not a supported claim whatsoever that it is safe
Yah.make it real confusing.her voice even sounds genenectly modified
Looks like we have a bunch of pro-Monsanto trolls at work in the comments section, trying hard to discredit much respected panel…
Just compare the goals of ones vs the others…
Only a strong rule of law can make possibles strides to be taken into the future.
58:29 relieved to see a half empty auditorium for these discredited fringe pseudo-science fear mongering agenda-based activists. The anti-GMO movement is withering on the vine. The annual March Against Monsanto is all but history. Good riddance.
Panel: “Why aren’t we taken seriously?”
Also Panel: “GMOs caused H1N1 and SARS”
Why worry about seed if we dont have insects like bees and other species to pollinate them?
This was very illuminating and thank you for showing both sides of a very heated topic. I have a few criticisms but the main one is about Golden rice. You failed to mention that after three decades of research, development, study, and trials, they still haven’t gotten it right. In 30 years of r&d how many people in the target populations have died? so, well it’s a good idea with merit and should still continue to be researched, there must be something that can be done in the meantime. If I had the means to do it then I would gather crops, starts and seeds, that are rich in vitamin A like carrots and sweet potatoes, squash and many others. Not all would grow in the climates of the affected countries, but some would. I’d also have to make sure that introduction of the new plants wouldn’t mess with their ecosystems. Once all research and prep was done (which would take a couple years, not multiple decades) I would bring the crops right to where they are needed and teach the people how to grow and propagate them. This would feed the people that need the micronutrients as well as help their economy. It blows my mind that no one else has thought of this and done it yet. But since there’s no profit in the charity of giving, the big companies will never do it, so it’s up to people.
I love both fat Dairy but can’t eat it all the time because it messes with my sinuses.
Russian social media ‘bots’ push GMO-autism link, new report shows
“Social media accounts sponsored by the Kremlin have whipped up fears about western food and water supplies, analysis shows.
Scores of tweets sent from accounts controlled by Russia have portrayed genetically modified (GM) foods as dangerous, and attacked companies that deal in the technology. Most of the accounts purported to be run by westerners. Experts say that the tweets are part of a bigger campaign to spread disinformation in the West.
Accounts known to have been controlled by a troll farm linked to the Kremlin pushed baseless claims of a link between GM crops and autism. Dozens of the accounts also stoked unease over the safety of glyphosate, a common weedkiller. One tweet read: “Massachusetts Institute of Technology doctor reveals link between #glyphosate, GMOs and the autism epidemic.” One message suggested that fluoride in water caused cancer.
Renée DiResta, a specialist in disinformation who has advised the US Congress, said that the anti-GM messages were part of a tapestry of disinformation aimed at discrediting accepted science …. Analysis conducted for The Times suggests that discussion of GM online was being manipulated by automated social media accounts, or bots. Ms DiResta collected about 241,000 tweets and retweets from the discussion on Twitter about GMO over 60 days.” https://geneticliteracyproject.org/2018/10/09/russian-social-media-bots-push-gmo-autism-link-new-report-shows/

Vandana is spot on about how they’re experimenting on the people. No one knows what will happen in the long run. BUT professor Michael Skinner from Washington State Univ. conducted a study on generational toxicology and showed that 2 generations after being exposed to glyphosate rats showed dramatically diminished fertility. GMOs are showered with glyphosate. GMOs are specifically designed for glyphosate use. Smoking 10 packs of cigarettes wont kill you in a day. but we all know it is detrimental. Just because there isn’t immediate signs doesnt mean it is safe.
Been watching you for a while as my wife and I are starting farmers and eventually would prefer to go organic. That being said we ARE NOT against not chemicals… The market just “trends” that way. Do you approve of no-till? Is it truely better for the soils and is it truely better for erosion? I know people that do both conventional and no-till practices and no-til “at least in my area Southwestern Ohio” has some of the worst wash outs on no-till ground. Thanks!!
There is another reason why GMO is rejected nobody talks about….. IPR Patents that are solely made to benefit some few cooperative giants… PLZZZ explain that aspect also….. “ MONOPOLY “……….ITS EASY TO HIDE THE GREED BEHIND MORALS…..money vs morals…. you know who wins
Can you describe how Bt genes work in an insect gut and why doesn’t it effect in other species through a video? I know the action of Bt is specific to the pH in the guts of the lepidopteran larva. Why can’t we expect that pH in any other species for any other reason?
TV “news channel” RT (formerly Russia Today, which has its roots in Pravda), the Kremlin’s English-language propaganda arm, is the mouthpiece for Russia President Vladimir Putin’s agenda.
A report from the Office of the U.S. Director of National Intelligence (DNI) implicated RT in Russian hacking during the 2016 presidential election. It found that the network uses the internet and social media to conduct “strategic messaging for the Russian government” and that its programming aims “at undermining viewers’ trust of U.S. democratic procedures.”
Fake news about politics, and also about science and technology, is RT‘s trademark, as illustrated by its blatant disinformation attacks on the reporting of news by respected media outlets like the BBC. And according to the DNI’s’ report, RT became a platform to push anti-fracking disinformation in order to damage the U.S. shale industry. Genetic engineering in agriculture is a sector that holds intense interest for the Russians. Harkening back to the Lysenkoism catastrophe for agriculture in the Soviet Union, their expertise and current R&D in that area are virtually nil, and there is a ban on genetically engineered organisms from abroad entering the country, so they’ve adopted a strategy of trying to stymie its development elsewhere.
As Dr. Alex Berezow of the American Council on Science and Health pointed out: “RT has never been fond of GMOs (genetically modified organisms), which are largely the result of American innovation. A Russia-centered group concocted the bizarre FactorGMO scam, which billed itself at its 2014 launch as “the world’s largest international study on GMO safety,” as though that issue was still in doubt. The $25 million project has vanished into thin air. And RT has just released (May 23) a “documentary” film, “The Peril on Your Plate,” a propagandistic screed that presents yet again all the anti-genetic engineering memes and fake news. If the involvement of Russia and its notorious troll factories seems a stretch, consider the recent study by two Iowa State University researchers who looked at the source of articles containing the word “GMO” (genetically modified organism) and how genetic engineering was portrayed. They found that the Russia’s English-language propaganda outlets RT and Sputnik produced more articles containing “GMO” than five other major news organizations — Huffington Post, Fox News, CNN, Breitbart News and MSNBC — combined.
The two Russian outlets accounted for more than half of all the GMO-related articles among the seven sites (RT, 34%; Sputnik, 19%). “RT and Sputnik overwhelmingly portrayed genetic modification in a negative light,” the researchers wrote.” https://geneticliteracyproject.org/2018/08/01/prominent-anti-gmo-and-organic-businesses-partnered-with-russia-to-smear-american-agriculture/
I withhold snark & sarcasm since this is a video primarily for the kids.:-)
We understand that GMO’s are horrible.
We are being poisoned by our own corrupted government!!!!
How can we stop those criminals???
i love it that i learn a lot & at the same time you are so funnyi can’t thank u enough!! more power!!!!!
What kind of idiot click bait sucker thinks that what he needs to know could be found here on Youtube? You are a bunch of genetically illiterate losers who failed high school genetics and biology.
I did not see any “truth” here about GMO’s, just more of the same old lies and pseudo-science. Zero facts, and lots of total bullshit. So much bad information here that obviously nobody did any actual fact checking on. And of course, it only took like a minute to get in the obligatory “hate Monsanto” line.
Why do sick people who begin eating all organic food, improve their health drastically? Negative health issues either improve or go away. GMOs are still bad in my book.
Scientists are to corporations what the Egyptian priests were to the pharaohs. In both cases, they are the tool used by those who steal power and manipulate humanity. Scientists like priests turn theories into false realities and then they use the thirst to believe in something that humanity has, to domesticate and enslave it. Science is and will always be the best theory until we know the absolute truth. Doing genetics when we don’t know the matter, where it comes from, who we are, where we come from, and why we are here is as safe as giving matches to a group of people who are locked in a room without light and filled with explosives. You will notice that science is always the spokesperson for studies or research results and that it never takes full responsibility for what it advances. Most of us confuse science and knowledge. science is one of the many ways to achieve knowledge, but will never be knowledge in itself. science manipulates and can be manipulated, knowledge does not. Science believes while knowledge affirms. Science tries to convince, knowledge warns and gives advice. Science is experimentation and knowledge is the absolute truth. A scientist or someone who uses science to pretend that he or she has the absolute truth is a dangerous traitor and we should ban those who do so extremely severely. It should be forbidden to talk about science without mentioning that it is in ” theory ” and that there is absolutely nothing guaranteed. So between something natural, and something artificial, which you will feed your children??? FORGET THE CHOICE! geneticists have decided for us in the name of profits, money, corporations and when we take a closer look, they do it for the service of something much more obscure, ill-intentioned, harmful.
A little round up weed killer in our cereal couldn’t hurt? To all the suckers who buy into Bill and Neil’s BS on gmos, google Glysophate. You were dead wrong on gmos Neil.
For Brady Blacher: HERE ARE 6 GMO FACTS: (links below)
1)ZERO CLINICAL HUMAN TRIALS, ZERO CONTROLLED EMPIRICAL DATA, UNQUANTIFIED HUMAN RISK IN GMO FOOD.
GMO FOOD IN HUMANS IS EXPERIMENTAL.
2) CODEX ALIMENTARIUS RECOMMENDS HUMAN SAFETY TESTS FOR GMO FOODS…NONE EVER DONE!!
“ Principles for the risk analysis of foods derived from modern biotechnology “Pg 16. “46: ….. consideration should be given to the potential impacts on human health using conventional procedures for establishing the safety of such metabolites (e.g. procedures for assessing the human safety of chemicals in foods).” i.e. Human Safety Studies, YET: None ever.
3) THE PRO-GMO GLP BLOG: 8.7% OF GOV’T FUNDED ANIMAL STUDIES ON FDA APPROVED GMO CROPS ARE ‘LESS SAFE’ AND/OR CAUSE HARM
https://i0.wp.com/www.biofortified.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/GENERA-Safety.jpg?fit=2416%2C3066&ssl=1
4) United Nations Food & Agriculture Organization, FAQ on GMO: Excerpt:
“4) First, despite what is sometimes said, we do not need GMOs to resolve the current world hunger problem. There is enough food for everybody, but millions of people are poor and simply do not have the money to buy food – that is why access to food is a major problem.” http://www.fao.org/fileadmin/user_upload/biotech/docs/faqsen.pdf
5) ISAAA GMO DATABASE EXISTS BECAUSE ‘GMO’ IS DISTINCT FROM EXTANT SELECTION / BREEDING METHODS.
Google ‘ISAAA’
6) NAS 2016: NO SIGNATURE YIELD-IMPROVEMENT OF GMO ACROSS AMERICA, COMPARED TO NON-GMO.
“FINDING: The nation-wide data on maize, cotton, or soybean in the United States do not show a significant signature of genetic-engineering technology on the rate of yield increase…… ” i.e. GMO yield is marginally better than non-GMO. https://www.nap.edu/read/23395/chapter/7#100 Excerpt as above. USA NAS 2016.
So there is NO GMO IMPERATIVE (except $$$), it has incomplete due-diligence in Human Safety (per Codex Alimentarius), on average its yield is barely better than non-GMO…….aside from shareholder $$$$, GMO Food for Humans has NOTHING TO OFFER THE CONSUMER, EXCEPT UNQUANTIFIED RISKS.
Hidden BONUS FACT 7: There are nasty pro-GMO Shills lurking on social media…..stuffed shirts on morgue-duty…… LOLOL. Funny Fact!
Lots more, this is the tip of the Iceberg…..the full TRUTH about the lack of safety for GMO Foods for Humans is terrifying.
Hello, im neil the defake tyson, completely unqualified to talk about the science of bioengineering.
I agree with many below, when you look at GMO’s holistically, the system itself is part of the problem. The business model is wrong, look at what has happened in India Vandana Shiva can tell you some stories. Besides, there are already tons of naturally evolved seeds that we need to utilize and save from extinction. Look into TRANSPONDERS, how seeds are adaptable to their environment because they are ALIVE and somehow that makes them responsive to their environment that is where the focus needs to be! Seeds should not belong to corporations, it is just control and greed, and not ecologically responsible. Support organic farming and local cooperative community based initiatives, that is the ecological way to do things! CUT THE CRAP Neil, you attitude on this subject is not who you really are!
How come you never talk about the sodium in frozen foods? Do you know how many people are diabetic?
in a world where is all is trying to kill let be by poison or toxins gmos are not that bad we use them every day without noticing the issue lies with pattend dna and big company trying to get the more money they can
They don’t use less deadly pesticides, they use less volume of a much deadlier pesticide called Round Up. This stuff has been found to remain in the soil years later and causes cancer. There are a lot of large studies on this.
After he lied about religions with Danica Patrick lapping it up like CannedAss Owen, he’s just like Obummer
The problem are not the GMO crops itself, but the business around it. I live in Argentina, many studies here, demostrated the cancer related to gliphosphate, the hormonal change in toads and frogs and little mammals, abortions and malformations in large mammals, including humans, the 70 million bees deaths in Córdoba, and the declination in native species of birds and other bug eaters.
European Union green lights imports of eight GMO crops
European Commission | December 6, 2019
“[Nov. 28], the [European] Commission authorized eight Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), all for food/feed uses (maize MZHG0JG, maize MON 89034 x 1507 x NK603 x DAS-40278-9, maize MON 89034 x 1507 x MON 88017 x 59122 x DAS-40278-9, maize Bt11 x MIR162 x MIR604 x 1507 x 5307 x GA21, the renewals of soybean MON 89788 and of soybean A2704-12, the renewal of cotton LLCotton25, and the renewal of oilseed rape T45).
All of these Genetically Modified Organisms have gone through a comprehensive authorization procedure, including a favorable scientific assessment by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). The authorization decisions do not cover cultivation.”

I’m sure this spokesperson feeds her family organic vegetables and grain
Monoculture is never good for the environment, which is what GMO promotes, and destroys the smaller farmers. This is only good for humans (possibly or in the short term). Without biodiversity watch your wildlife decrease until extinction people. I would love to find some unbiased studies of the effects of GMO food on people. Anyone got any?
Marketing 101: Say that GMO is totally healthy. Make some sponsored research and you will get your “proofs”. Show that sponsored research as an ultimate “scientific” fact and you will get millions of followers who never really question anything. Congratulations you got lots of dollars waiting for you to get it.
Horticulturist here. Roundup ready plants and crops don’t kill any bugs. Glyphosate is a herbicide, not an insecticide. It’s so they can spray crops with Roundup to kill weeds. I’m not saying Roundup is good to eat but it’s not an insecticide.

Sorry, bullshit. Excellent job though. Really first rate bullshit.
Only in America can “leaning politically left” be misconstrued to being de facto anti-GMO. Sad to see even Neil shares this ridiculous bias.
Bobby, I watch you all much of the time. CONFUSING. Today we were at Trader Joe’s (rarely go, but my friends only shop there) which not much was organic, grass fed, pasteurized, expeller pressed, etc. We live on Long Island, New York. I am shocked how many years we have been “trying” to eat healthy and the food stores are selling MORE unhealthy food. Thank you for the true information.
two clowns and and two gate keepers. Awww fuk it Four gate keepers. Here is the point that they NEVER made: MOnsanto sold to Bayer. Bayer is at this very moment trying to PATENT SEEDS. Here are the implications to gaining the patent over seeds: INTElleCTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS! Thats right they own life. So imagine owning the BT COTTON seed which we use for all manner of product in our world, now you the corporation have NO competition. You have essentially cornered the market in the name of something being better for us? NOt to mention The pesticides used on GMO’s can change your microbiome. If you understand the body 80 % of your immune system resides in your gut. I could embellish further but it would lead to a much greater conversation that would take us right to pharmaceuticals and their being overused and abused here in the states. These guys are educated fools. Bought and paid for.
Why is an immunologist not being interviewed?? Why is an agriculture ‘expert’ is being interviewed about effects on human health?! The fact of the matter is that GMOs are not created equal. Round up ready GMOs as well as lectin (BT) based methods are what areas of concern in medicine as they are thought to be immunogenic in sensitive populations. To say that ‘GMOs’ have been around for thousands of years is simply intellectually lazy and not good science. Ecological consequences of round up ready are undisputed as super weeds have already emerged. Bee apocalypse is a very real thing and that has been associates w insecticide over usage particularly in the case of round up GMOs.
All eukaryotic cells contain what used to be an entire different organism (mitochondria/chloroplasts). Talk about a gmo!
There is another way to use nature as her own pest deturant companion planting like basel grown next to tomatoes marigoldsl work to but on a big scale i dont see it not working to in the old daysthe farmerwhen he was growing fodder for his cows he would let the hogweed and purslane and yellowdock grow in between the rows of corn then when it was harvest time grind all of the so calledweeds together and feed it to the cows u didnt have sore cow teets and the cows weremuch more healthy wre must learnfrom nature not fight it like in findhorn in scotland
As a geneticist, I have no issues with GMOs. You are pointing your finger blaming GMOs when it is not the dna of animals or plants in your crops that matters at all, but you are totally right about the pesticides. Shift your focus from blaming the GMOs because we have been doing genetic modification of organisms for thousands of years. You are totally on point with the dyes, some hormones, and pesticides, and also mono cultures are a huge problem. And yes, GMOs often have the most pesticides on them due to their altered genetics allowing them to be roundup resistant, but the problems don’t come from the fact that they are genetically modified. The problems come from the roundup. What you are standing for is totally legitimate and this movement definitely will lead to healthier and safer agricultural practices, but genetic modification is not the issue. Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.
At the beginning Tyson says the words “plant evolution” which would be a natural occurrence. What idiot would consider engineered plants to be an evolution? Maybe Tyson is getting paid well enough that he is bought and paid for by Monsanto
Pusztai released his results to the public and not the peer-reviewed scientific process. If he had done so, he would have found his statistical and experimental errors. It’s the same path as Seralini, going for fame over rigorous science. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pusztai_affair
It’s hard to believe how many straight-faced lies that chick could make in under 20 minutes. Anyone who doesn’t stop eating GMO and GE foods, WILL get serious longterm illnesses. GMOs will be banned. My only regret is that there might not be punishment awaiting the criminal scientists (at Monsanto and elsewhere) who have, through much trickery, gotten us to consume them, often even without knowing it.
Scrolling through the comments, it SOO OBVIOUS that GMO Corporate has professional Shill-Trolls defending their financial interests. Popeye Gordon, David Adcock: You are called out as LYING SHILLS….how else can you explain years of ‘interception’ of anti-GMO comments? Instead, JUST SHOW US THE HUMAN SAFETY TRIALS that meet UN CODEX safety protocols on GMO Wholefoods for Humans! What?? There aren’t any?? More than 11000 GMO studies, but not ONE Human Safety Trials?? Oh boy, watcha hiding?
Oky all this corn talk…..is maseca gmo free?????
This video becomes worthless April 2nd when all G+ comments vanish forever. So far there is no plan to support any comment thread feature. All you can do is place an email address or Facebook page ink in your video description.
So why do we need GMO? I still don’t get it. They say: to solve problems with foods, to use less pesticides, to feed people in poor countries.”
1. What problems do we have with food? For thousands of years human species were okay with food and now in 2000s we have a “HUGE problems “ like wtf?
2. Why do we need to use pesticides at all?? to solve the same “problems” as GMO is supposed to solve? What are these problems? Insects eat your crops so you can’t SELL more and make more money? Is it a problem for people that some agriculture company asshole owners can’t make extra money?
3. To feed hungry people in poor countries.
WHO made this countries poor? They lived naturally for thousands years! They didn’t need your help. People from west invested in future slaves and gave them more food and created disbalance in their population to make them DEPEND on western foods!
Tyson is a shill and is paid to say what those who pay him, want him to say, he is a lying disgrace of a human being…8 inches per mile squared, get on it house boy.
There is no immorality in science what is immoral is when greed drives science

I think that potato was not the endemic potato of Irland. It was introduced by the Romans i think not sure which.
bullshit!! what a joke! the art of taking people for idiots without shy. thank you to lie to us as it. we appreciate. thank you sooooo much!
Please talk about 5G and what is your take on 5G as well as the old planet is concerned meaning Earth and the health effects on human beings?
I good nutritional advocate on youtube has two important assets to protect. Their brand which is generally their format and personality and their credibility. You really fell down on the last one here. Setting aside the issue of whether or not GMOs are good or bad, what you have said here is embarrassingly wrong. “Round-up ready” seeds do not contain Round-up in the seed, the strain has been made resistant to it so that you can spray round-up without killing the crop. Round-up does not kill bugs. It is a herbicide, not a pesticide. It kills weeds, not bugs. I didn’t watch past that.
11:42 She nailed the truth. Thanks for clarifying I don’t need to watch the rest of this video
FWIW, Bill Nye the science guy looked at the science behind GMO’s and concluded that they are nothing to be concerned about. But if GMO free labels make you feel good…

Yeah, it’s all about marketing! 100%! I’m considered to be a democratic liberal, I guess. But GMO’s are not a problem. It’s just silly! It’s like pages of the encyclopedia got glued together. ♀️
This program is realy missing the point of GMOs and what companies like Monsanto are doing to humanity. Very fishy.
I guess we now know at least one of Neil Degrasse’s sources of income. I just lost all respect for him.
By the way I’m not sure how eggplant is the most vital plant in Bangladesh because the number one priority among us Bangladeshis is rice, then potatoes maybe but without rice Bangladesh will most likely starve so can you please explain that part about eggplants please
When food companies use fear against competitors to sell a product, farmers take it personally.”
https://www.agdaily.com/insights/farm-babe-label-trends-end/
Now why do you suppose organic food is so expensive?? Imagine what 3 billion dollars could do for humanitarian goals end a different disease forever every year…. End all hunger in at least one country…… Funding nasty propaganda? Really??

The people who complain about GMO’s are the same people who eat fast food daily.
GMO WHOLEFOOD FOR HUMANS IS BANNED ACROSS THE EU!!
The Popeye troll vs The UN CODEX ALIMENTARIUS: 1) Humans safety trials recommended (never done). 2) Labelling recommended, yet ACTIVELY OPPOSED by GMO Corp in America for more than 20 years. (Now the main culprit, Monsanto, is ‘gone’). Post Marketing Surveillance of the population RECOMMENDED, yet NEVER done.
Yeah Popeye, YOU eat that improperly tested SHIT, love every $-driven mouthful.
Enjoy your nutrient deficiencies, your decreased fertility, your liver enzyme abnormalities, your digestive system inflammations, your auto-immune diseases…Go GMO, Go Popeye!
The UN Codex (and EFSA, who embrace the Un Codex) KNOWs BETTER!
Which is why GMO WHOLEFOOD FOR HUMANS IS BANNED ACROSS THE EU!!
Not 100% sure. But in the Netherlands there are strict rules around GMO’s. So companies are producing GMO’s in a lab. Then they breed huge amounts of non-GMO’s until a desired mutation is present. Because of this, it can be sold as non-GMO while having the same DNA as a GMO.

WHY has GMO Corporate and the FDA ACTIVELY AVOIDED SCIENTIFIC SAFETY PROTOCOLS AS LAID OUT BY THE UN CODEX COMMISSION ON GMO CROPS? WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT??
LOL. Fact is: That is EXACTLY what they have done…….why do Americans TOLERATE the utter failure of their Public Safety Regulators?? Hahahaha,…a new molecularly manipulated Food is safe until proven otherwise?? Yum, yum…..munch away in the land of the free… just don’t bring that SHIT near me.
Thank you so much for taking the time in making these videos we so need to hear about the information.looking forward to watching more of the videos.
Thank you for bringing us this information and for standing up against the disgusting company and its directors
There are MANY cracks, holes, failings, LIES associated with the GMO Foods that are sold UNLABELLED to Americans since 1996.
The FDA only requires that the PRODUCER tests them in 3 ways: Substantial equivalence, Skin-prick allerginicity tests, short term animal feeding trials…then they get sold (unlabelled) to all Americans…. in the EU this is unacceptable: EFSA subscribes to the UN CODEX safety protocols (which the FDA has never met), this is why most EU countries BAN human GMO consumption: That shit is experimental, most Americans are unwitting participants in that experiment.
Codex: “ Principles for the risk analysis of foods derived from modern biotechnology “
Pg 16. “46: ….. consideration should be given to the potential impacts on human health using conventional procedures for establishing the safety of such metabolites (e.g. procedures for assessing the human safety of chemicals in foods).” i.e. Human Safety Studies, YET: None ever.
Pg 3, “19. Risk management measures may include, as appropriate, food labelling8 conditions for marketing approvals and post-market monitoring.”
Pg 10, “ 15: Unintended effects can result from the random insertion of DNA sequences into the
plant genome, which may cause disruption or silencing of existing genes, activation
of silent genes, or modifications in the expression of existing genes. Unintended
effects may also result in the formation of new or changed patterns of metabolites.
For example, the expression of enzymes at high levels may give rise to secondary
biochemical effects or changes in the regulation of metabolic pathways and/or altered
levels of metabolites”
Poor Americans, no wonder their health system is under such pressure….
What utter propaganda DRIVEL! Shill deGrasse & the shill bunch dishing out the establishments ‘educational info’ for retarded sheep.
When someone tell us something, whether it is true or not, we all look for the truth where we can find it, if we can find it.
Thank you so much for making this video. Tons of products I didn’t even think about being GMO that are. Side note: Please tell me that either you or someone in you crew is going back (off camera) and putting things back where you got them from
This is not correct information. The secret is minerals and micro organisimsv in the soil. It is impossible to understand the facts if you do not understand the secret of soil. At the end this video is very wrong.
Big difference between the internet and crops. You have to eat one to survive.
Blacher: ZERO HARM? StarLink Corn for animal fodder (Taco Bell Corn Shells) was a BT Toxin corn that ended up in the Human Food chain. People became ill, then it got recalled……. HARM FROM DIGESTION in Humans, not in cattle. How surprising: People aren’t cows with 5 stomachs….who knew? LOL Yeah, the SCIENCE IS INDEED IN, KZGT just chose to ignore some FACTS…..and present the standard US rhetoric instead.
https://www.wikiwand.com/en/StarLink_corn_recall
“Following the recalls, 51 people reported adverse effects to the FDA; these reports were reviewed by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), which determined that 28 of them were possibly related to StarLink…”
” In 2002, Aventis, Garst, Kraft Foods, Azteca Foods, Azteca Milling, and Mission Foods settled a lawsuit brought by two people, and the grandmother of a third, who claimed to have had allergic reactions to StarLink, for $9 million.[41]” “
I completely agree with this, but a great cautionary tale was the near release of K. planticola, which could have destroyed most of the life on earth, so we do need to use the strongest safety measures possible.
i say take all the anti-GMO, anti-vax and anti science people and ship em all to an island and let them fend for themselves and die off.
If we let the Left make agricultural decisions, we would still be using people as farm equipment. The right has always been on the right side of history, and science.
Fake food fake new cloning transgender OMG what’s new.. how ironic.. BYER Produces chemicals (poison) Roundup.. and they also manufacture medicine.. guess who they just bought out.. Monsantos they own the seeds and the world food supply.. Depopulation at its finest..
Who was it that said give us control of the oil. And will control the nations.
Give us control of the food supply and will control the people.. Henry Kissinger. Time to Wake up people..
Im so glad you talked about both the good and the bad. Im very pro GMO but its good to understand the arguments against it so I can have discussions about it without my bias of thinking the technology is perfect lol
Wow… I could not comment on Seeds of Death. I KNOW the dangers of chemical companies. My uncles and my father worked for DuPonts. One of my uncles died in 1968 in an explosion at DuPont Chamber Works ( yeah, good luck looking that up). My father narrowly missed losing his life because my Uncle ran back into the building and released pressure. My Father was, thankfully, able to move to waste water treatment. Probably why I still have him today. DuPont’s theme was “Safety First”. Yeah, right……
I’m disappointed to see Tyson pushing this pro GMO crap. Is he always so biased?
Just do indoor farming, no need for GMO (though they can help) or pesticides. It also uses less land, land that can be preserved for animals and the like. The only thing you need is electricity which can be provided by renewable resources
Eeeeewwww please give a warning next time before putting insect pictures and videos in the video the worms are grosssss
FACTS: The UN Codex Safety protocols on Human GMO consumption recommend LABELLING, SCIENTIFI HUMAN TESTING and POST-MARKETING SUREILLANCE……does that sound like completed science to you?? Utter BS.
Even the pro-GMO Genetic Literacy Project has an infographic of 200 peer-reviewed animal safety which show HARM at astounding levels: 8.7% safety FAIL for gov’t funded studies, almost 15% SAFETY FAIL for mixed funding studies….on FDA -approved, commercial crops!
UN Codex: “ Principles for the risk analysis of foods derived from modern biotechnology “
Pg 3, “19. Risk management measures may include, as appropriate, food labelling8 conditions for marketing approvals and post-market monitoring.”
Pg 18, “56: Gene transfer from plants and their food products to gut micro-organisms or human
cells is considered a rare possibility because of the many complex and unlikely events that would need to occur consecutively. Nevertheless, the possibility of such events cannot be completely discounted.6”
(Look into anti-biotic ‘marker’ genes and their risks if transferred to the host…)
Pg 10, “ 15: Unintended effects can result from the random insertion of DNA sequences into the
plant genome, which may cause disruption or silencing of existing genes, activation of silent genes, or modifications in the expression of existing genes. Unintended effects may also result in the formation of new or changed patterns of metabolites.

ZERO SCIENTIFIC HUMAN TRIALS > ZERO SCIENTIFIC SAFETY DATA > ZERO SCIENTIFIC HUMAN SAFETY. Easy scientific concept, ask any toxicologist, scientist, engineer, molecular biologist…
tho this video tried to be balanced by mentionning monstanto
and other herbicides sellers by using GMOs to make their plants resistant to herbicides, and those practices encourage damage to people and environement
but the other problems that the GMOs are supposed to solve like hunger and malnutrition are mostly problems caused by structural problems of economy, society and politics
for example the famine in Irland was because of monoculture, most of irland’s farmers only planted potatoes bc the british landlors were only interested in profit
and when the disease happened they didnt care, they had their loss but they didnt care if the farmers died because of the famine
about the golden rice, on the surface it appears like a good thing, but its another crop that just try solve a problem created by monoculture
monoculture destroy lands, and ofc, it favors spread of diseases and parasites, because same plant with same genetics is planted over hectars, the same parasyte or disease gonna spread like wildfire
and i’m not gonna even get started on intelectual property and patents, means people wont own those seeds and grains anymore
and if they cross polunate with native species, they are in big trouble
i’m not saying GMOs cause cancer, but the way they are being used by big companies that promote bad agricultural and economic practices is cancerous
Non GMO sounds like another gimmick. Non GMO not Roundup resistant crops including corn, wheat, peas, soybeans, flax, rye, lentils, triticale, buckwheat, canola, millet, potatoes, sugar beets, soybeans and other edible legumes. are being sprayed with Roundup ( Glyphosate). The 10-14 days pre-harvest crop desiccation use of glyphosate allows farmers to harvest crops as much as two weeks earlier than they normally would, leaving us with a product with plenty of herbicide residue.

I would just like to point out to all the aluminum hat wearing individuals that EVERY LIVING THING IS a GMO. There is not a single living organism today that hasn’t undergone some sort of modification from another organism sometime in it’s evolutionary past. Just because we facilitate what passes where makes no difference. Given enough time evolutionarily speaking it would have occurred naturally anyway.
bobby will you ans my question you say Norway farm practices are great infact its the worst.. can you at least retract this statement
I understand human population are so big that we can’t survive without GMO. But if we have enough money to buy non GMO foods, I suggest you not to buy GMO foods.
