And them finish it off with some beautiful extra virgin olive oil
Hi!! Very good recipe my friend…We like cooking with many vegetables… it seems very tasty… Congratulations… greetings from the family of LA CUISINE DU COQ!! Bye bye…
Hi Since anybody can watch ur vdo…PL give alternative name of the millet….ur recipe seems to be excellent….can be part of diet food
Dairy is no longer an option, dairy farms cause too much water contamination and suffering. Do you really want to eat something from a diseased, miserable, abused tortured cow who looses her babies right after they’re born? Vegan is the only way
I like when a woman likes to eat food. Women I know dont like eating.
I do like it vey much. (btw, did you say “recepli” at 4:00?)
Great video. Very informative. Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you very much for taking the time to teach us! Love, Toni from Scotland.
She is a very annoying host. Will not be watching future videos.
I tried this and I have to say, I’m not a fan of overnight muesli. I don’t think the soaking breaks down the oats enough. At least not for my taste. I opt for Jamie’s porridge method with pre made muesli and it comes out delicious! Plus if you have dried fruit in the muesli, it will reconstitute and sweeten the porridge. Delicious!
Ss I tried with bannana and brown sugar….with the masked tinge of sourness tasted great.
I was out of honey or that’s what I would have added.
“Massive protein boost.”
Chia seeds have roughly 16g protein per 100g. A tablespoon of them as in this recipe would be roughly 2g of protein. Hardly what I’d call massive.
You’d be much better starting your day off with an omelette. Now that would be a massive protein boost.
Thanks for the knowledge! What can I use besides yogurt if I don’t consume cows milk?
Sorry, but this absolutely is NOT Bircher Müesli… and if you are going to call it that, at least find out how to pronounce it properly first. I make Bircher Müesli semi-regularly with no added sugar, it’s really not needed as all the sweetness comes from the fruit. I really don’t understand why you would put maple syrup or vanilla essence in this?
in Malaysia, we rarely eat cereal for breakfast, but we have NASI LEMAK that would complete your food pyramid
this muesli is so wicked and interesting! im gonna try it for sure
Wherever i try this method, which i strictly do now, it makes the oats easier to digest. Aside from easy bowel movements, I have little or no bloating or gassiness. I use water and vinegar, let it sit for 1 to 2 days, rinse thoroughly and cook in milk, serve with butter and peanut butter, voila! Great, smooth and very hearty!
All almond milk products in Denmark are contaminated with added poisons, the organic ones too, they ahve been sprayed with chemicals even when it says it hasnt. I get intense migraine from ALL non diary alternative milk products so far, so be careful if u are sensitive alr. Sad they ruin the healthy prodcuts, but hey thats Denmark for us:l
Sry Mam but this basil is called holy basil ( tulsi ) and this is not used in cooking food. This is only used in hot beverages like tea or chai fir boost your immune system.
Looks yummy! Can I use coconut milk? I allways eat oats for breakfeast, do you think quinoa is better? I have hypothyroidism so I try to eat high fat low carb diet
Cool, I love Bircher Müsli, but didn’t know how to make it… I’ll save the video!:)
Does fermenting oatmeal cause intoxication. Does it give you a buzz? Can old fashioned oats? Can I drink the steep liquor?
I didn’t know that you could soak the oats overnight and just have it like that!!! I thought you had to cook them!
Enough antinutrients for your liking? Lol jk but still
If that were fermented (just as easy), it would be healthier, taste so much better (richer, more complex), and would last longer. “Overnight oats” are missing out on a great opportunity…
Me encanta su canal, suscrita!!! No sé cómo llegué aquí, pero me encanta, aunque no se hablar inglés jeje
Would it be ok to use raw milk instead of yoghurt?
And is it necessary to boil the oats or can I just rinse them after 24 hours and eat them this way?
381 kcal!, i wonder how many hours does it keep full?:D
Am I wrong? Almond milk has not at all extra protein compared to normal milk or soy milk
Fermented oatmeal! How awesome. But you will kill the friendly bacteria the second you cook them. I don’t even eat my rolled oats cooked. I just soak them in warm water for a long time. So I will ferment them and not cook them, and then I will get the benefits of the probiotics in the oatmeal. People make the same mistake when they cook miso soup. The miso paste is loaded with probiotic bacteria to build your healthy microbiome. To avoid this, just make your soup without the miso, wait til it cools down to under 118 degrees Fahrenheit, smear the miso paste around in the empty bowl, then pour the warm soup into the bowl and mix in the miso paste!:)
To everyone saying you kill the good bacteria when you cook them this is about making the oats easy to digest and nutrient-dense. If you want the bacteria just eat some of the yogurt/kefir you used in the first place. Healthy compounds are produced when fermenting the oats which will still be consumed, and the dead bacteria will serve as a fantastic prebiotic to the gut. Not to mention heat-killed probiotic bacteria have been found to have beneficial immune-modulating properties in their own right.
Don’t put too much chia in there you will be unbelievably bloated, they expand in water!
IDK if I’m allergic to oats or if my mom force-fed me them so long as a child that my throat seals shut. but I can’t eat them! I wish I could.
Just tried this, and am eating it now. Absolutely delicious! Well worth using almond milk for the taste if nothing else:)
was hoping this was good… pretty disappointed after trying it
For those of you not comfortable with the syrup just add honey.
muesli already has a lot of sugar in it, see the label. not a very healthy option I guess, after reading about it.
i really thought she gonna eat all that birch at once hahahahahahahahha
I was with you until “overnight”.
Ain’t nobody got time fo’ dat.
I swear whoever thought of this breakfast is a genius. Also I have to try those oats your using, as I normally buy the cheaper ones. great video
Rolled oats cannot even be fermented because it’s processed (steamed)
Yes. I LOVE this recipe! Thank you for sharing!!!! Hugs, LA
I’ve used this recipe several times and love it! I change up the fruit depending on what I want and what’s in season, but it’s been great! Thank you!
Good point, seeds should definitely be fermented, soaked, or sprouted before consumption, but soaking will not completely eliminate phytic acid. Even doing so for days does not, and definitely not in 24 hours. Also, depending of the mineral content of the soaking medium, minerals diffuse into the water, so you should not discard it.
i always cook the porridge don’t know why but I’m scared of eating raw food so can anyone please tell me which kind of oat should i look for that don’t need boiling? thanx in adv
So a fermentation of any kind of food for about 12-24hours works everytime just on the kitchentable?(18°C-20°C)
What I have everyday for breaky is my own museli. Soak oats, chia seeds and flaxseeds in fresh homemade sugarless watermelon juice overnight, then in the morning add yoghurt grated apple and mango.
I eat it with chestnuts and chocolate and milk and its so good
But
it gives me a lot of gases and i fart a lot in class and THANK GOD all of them are silent and without a smell
There is nothing “healthy” about this. And it is not full of energy. Try to go for a long run or bike ride after eating this breakfast and then tell me if there is “energy” in it.
The vanilla flavour will probably give us goodness of stomach cancer
So you do the pear fresh but only use half of it. Sooo then you use it the next day? When its not fresh. This video smells like bs
I liked your recipe! That’s great! I try this immediately ))))) *******))) Я тебя люблю. sweet Anna! ))
Hello,
Do you drain away the water after soaking the oats and cook it with fresh water?
Those green pods are they spicy? Would like to know to not add them since its for my little one too.
I like cardamon but not for breakfast, and I hate Cinnamon.I will try it with vanilla extract, and maybe add some nutmeg, and honey.
but if you cook the fermented oats you will kill the friendly bacteria?!!!?
Are there nutritional differences between soaking vs cooking on the stove? Both reach the same creamy consistency…
Nice recipe but this is something I would do on the weekend. Weekdays I like something quick so probably make porridge with banana or something
my secret recipe breakfast is coffee and toast.. when i can be bothered to make it
After fermenting do I drain off the liquid and cook with fresh liquid? What’s happening to all that phytic acid that was originally in the seed/grain?
legumele astea recunosc că folosesc vase românești? va e dor de vremea când erați un imperiu și călcați oamenii pe cap și nici macar nu sunteți capabili să va ascundeți. penbililor
For those who are not comfortable with sugar -Just add a mashed banana instead of sugar
I had hot oats with vanilla rice milk this morning. I like to cook a banana in with the oats. Brings out the sweetness of the banana and if you’re trying to save money and don’t wanna be buying oats all the time it creates the illusion of having more oats in your bowl. Chia seeds do that too but I make chia pudding to take with me on work days so I try to save my chia seeds for that. I cook the oats, milk, and banana together and then I add whatever toppings I want. Today it was raspberries that I warmed up, granola, and pecans. When I mixed it all together it was like pink dessert in a bowl. I did add a little bit of stevia but not nearly as much as I would have if I hadn’t cooked the banana or the raspberries.
Good day I was watching this video and then my neighbor came and we watched it together. He said this post really changed his life and it touched my heart. My village people are so grateful. Am proud to say cool post wow thanks for sharing your valuable knowledge from the villagers of kikambu
Yes I do like your breakfast..I’m very into healthy breakfast to..yesterday had oats pumpkin seed chopped Brazil nuts..and mixed berrys from my allotment..with soya milk and a good drizzle of maple syrap..
Today had mixed mousele..can’t will spell it! With pumpkin seeds chopped almonds rhubarb chopped coconut raisins and a good drizzle of maple syrap..delicious!
I put a splash of cultured whey I filter from my Kefir cheese in my 24hr soak.
What is the point of soaking the oats if you cook them in the same water or milk, its still has the Phytic acid in the soaking liquid. Shouldn’t the water be diskard and cooked them in fresh new water or milk?
Jesus Christ is coming for His perfect, sinless church Are you a part of it? Are you ready?
Hi everyone, I hope you’re doing well. If you’re reading this and you’re alive and breathing then this message is for you: God loves you so, so much, you can not fathom His love for you! It doesn’t matter what’s you’re gender, your luck so far in life, or what you have done in your past, God came in the flesh in a man named Jesus Christ and gave His life to take the punishment that should have been yours. God is waiting on all of us to repent so He can have mercy on us, and so He can reveal Himself to us (Luke 11:1-13, and Matthew 11:27-30). God’s love for you is the strongest force in existence. Stronger than gravity, and stronger than whatever you’re going through right now. If you’re already a believer, then never forget what you just read! And make sure your relationship with the Heavenly Father is active, real, honest, alive and well. Not lazy like most of us Christians are with God. People, you should NOT be talking to God “weekly” or “every now and then.” God is looking for a holy people, who know Him, who hear His voice, who live for Him, who love Him, obey His commandments, and who overcome all sin, and ONLY people who do these things will be saved (John 14:21-23, Matthew 7:21-23). If you’re still in sin, repent! Any and all sin will drag you straight to hell (Luke 13:1-9). If you’re a nonbeliever, humble yourself before God and go and see for yourself if what I’m saying is true or not, in the Bible and in prayer. God never rejects anyone who comes to Him (John 6:37). I didn’t come to argue, I was sent to change. Make a change, Christians! You aren’t meant to hang around and live for yourself like everyone else! Repent! Jesus is coming soon, and the Great Tribulation is about to start! God bless you all!!
Can you please tell me why are you soak your quinoa overnight first? Is it easier to digest that way or??
i just couldn’t stand that vanella extract that she added.. it ruined everything
Instead of syrup I use a very ripe banana and smash it into the oats. Gives it a very sweet flavor.
but wont fermenting for 48 hrs and later cooking and boiling the oats not destroy its good bacterial content? The same good bacterias formed in the 48 hrs fermentation period?
Honey and Maple syrup are just as bad as refined sugar. Step this up a bit with some blackstrap molasses or date sugar.
Actually since I’m Swiss i grew up with Bircher Müesli. In this recipe something incredible important is missing: The grated apple! You have to add it to the Bircher Müesli, it’s giving the Müesli its significant taste and texture.
I have had terrible reactions to flour products. I can soak whole or rolled grains, but how do you prepare flour for making bread, etc.?
This might be a dumb question, but since the milk is optional, can I make it with just oats, water, and salt?
