If were running conjugate shouldnt you max out twice every week??
@Whats Up Dude: Really liked this video of yours. I had one question: When you got to nutrition (#5 at 2:15), you showed a visual of different foods, none of which were a red meat (I don’t think). I understand that red meat can be over-consumed and is not as protein-rich per calorie as poultry or fish, but were you suggesting it be altogether avoided? Perhaps other videos answer this. Again, thank you.
I thought basketball was an anaerobic sports game, isn`t it?
So wait if we need that much time to rest then how are we suppose to train 3 to 5 times a week? Love ur vid btw
The best thing I did on max efforts days is have phases of ‘heavy efforts’ and phases where i try to get a true max on. Max effort day doesnt always mean it is a test day. Plus hit a 5-10lb pr and just move on, leave a little bit of something in the tank
Matt, I’m just getting into your content so I’m sure you’ve covered it
I’m preparing myself to try out for Special forces in the Army. Been in already for 7 years
I don’t want to give up lifting for calisthenics completely but was wondering if you had information / content on program structuring that included muscular endurance
I run 3 times a week and throw a ruck march in there. Looking to do a conjugate style 3 days a week that involves endurance for upper body
Thanks mate
I can’t eat 200g protein in potato chips, but I would like to try!
Matt…been doing the Wenning Warm Ups for over two months and yes it makes a huge difference. Thanks for your videos!
Hey Matt, but isnt max effort all about maxing every week? Different exercises but still maxing out and breaking records.
Hello Matt, been doin 5×6’s for a month and a half now. I am 50yrs old and currently lifting 280 for 5×6. Should I be doin 5×6 weekly? What could you suggest for optimal programming. I have noticed that My recovery week to week is taking longer. Maybe back off on the weight? Keep up the great videos

I live in an old house with no central AC and its too hot for me to sleep my best at night
Been studying for the CSCS exam, and it’s refreshing to hear some of these key programming tips from an actual person
How do you NOT max all the time if you’re doing Max Effort method??? Confused….
Best video I’ve see on training I’ve seen in a long time, covers it all in a nut shell
I love the Wenning warm ups for training sessions but they aren’t practical for a meet. What to you recommend?
Total maverick with a very high quality info per word ratio. I’m looking forward to finally doing a proper warm up with the Wenning warm up. Much appreciated
Wonderful video. Amazing explanation regarding exercise programming. Awesome job.
My biggest issue is recovery.
Always sore and when I step into my bed and put my head on my pillow, I am completely *OUT*. Does it means my body is overly exhausted? This overcomes me every evening.
