Peter, I have tried many salmon recipes and sauces and I tell u your recipe is the best among them all. Keep it up. Thus, I tried the salmon fillet in a grill following the same steps and it was awesome. Maybe you can post something regarding grilling salmon fillet.
Great Video. The Chicken looks very appetizing. I am interested in seeing a Pork Shoulder prepared as Burnt ends. Thank you.
The skin is delicious and crisy. Just make sure it has been de-scaled first though. That would make it too crunchy 😉
Don’t know what palsey is, but S&P is for seasoning.
Looks good! How about frying up some soft shell crab and doing something with some oysters!
This looks like my dad’s. Gotta find his recipe
Fast edit: His is a bit more complicated as in taking 4hrs do make the dish
Can’t wait to try. Thanks for the share. I would like to see few more smoking videos. I too have a channel and working on the tweaks to bring it up to your level.
My mom never puts oil to fry the salmon because she says that the salmon releases its own natural oil as it cooks….btw it looks great!
looks delish!! Leisel! you should make your own channel like Beth! also, could you possibly do a lemon herb grilled chicken recipe?
This looks super yummy. Salmon is one of the few fish that my daughter will eat.
It couldn’t get any easier nor delicious than this! Thanks for sharing:) ( cooked it this evening ) Loved it!
I think this is a very useful video.
Why do you put flour on the skin side of the salmon? If you do not plan to eat the skin, should you still use flour?
+babypam79 the garlic would go in the yogurt sauce, but is optional if it’s too strong a flavor for you:)
Great video. I love camp cooking, I normally take chicken legs, marinade them overnight in litehouse zesty italian dressing, cook them on a tripod grill over oak wood, while cooking we brush melted butter and season with salt only. Nothing better than the true outdoors, food and family. Thanks for the video
Tried this tonight. Delicious and so easy. Thank you for sharing!!
This looks SO good, Liesl. I love salmon and that yogurt sauce looks amazing. Dill is one of my favorite flavors lately!
I can finally let go. I’m able to unsubscribe now. I’ve waited. I’ve waited for so long. I thought maybe it was just a phase? But no.. It wasn’t. I have lost all my hopes..
Goodybye KinCommunity, maybe we’ll see each other again one day.
That looks so good! Thank you for the recipe!:D Any tipps for mums who want to incorporate fish in a child’s lunch?
Not for this recipe. Make sure you have removed the scales first though. Trust me, it’s delicious 😉
I just used your recipe for my family over a dark green salad, and we all loved it. Thank you for sharing!!
HEY!!! ANNIE!!!!!!! You said Fish sause You Forgot lemon juice!!!. Before Milk Add juice from 1 lemon ‘let it for few seconds to start Boiling and then the other staff’.. And less Pepper!!! Thank Me Later!!!!!!!
my salmon was to die for. however, I tweeked it just a little. ie. didn’t have sourcream so I used honey mustard and a tbl. of garlic oil. yum yum. Thanks for the video
You must have a snazzy oven, as we only have one setting for grills here in the UK (ON HOT). Just a quick side note here to avoid any confusion: Grilling (UK) and Broiling (US) are the same thing. Placing food UNDER a direct hot heat. Cooking on the grill (US) is the same as ‘cooking on the BBQ’ (UK). Placing food ON a direct hot heat. Hope that helps as the same phrases with different meanings can be confusing. But with both, remember to keep an eye on the food at all times to avoid burning.
People asking “what if I don’t have this or that” obviously doesn’t have experience with cooking.
What I one? That’s awesome!! Chicken looked nice and moist, I love greek flavors so I know it’s gotta be good.
Very helpful video. Can’t wait to try out my cooking skills with the help of your instructions. Thanks
Casey GreatChefs
I love this video only because of the great sauce it taught me to make. Now I make this sauce all the time when serving fish. Much tastier than store-bought tarter sauce.
placed the sauce a little to off to the right, messed up the presentation..but who cares right lets eat looks good
You do if you want it to taste the same as the sauce in the video 😉
Dude, if the salmon is fresh enough, you can eat it raw with no problems. That’s what sushi is. 4-6 mins each side is plenty. I like it pink in the centre but have it well done if you prefer.
Great job Jeff, nice to see you cook over an open fire. I would like to see a Florida fresh catch cooked up. BTW them Cats are looking to good!
Beautiful, simple recipe that gives delicious results. Just the way it should be, Well Done!
@PhysicsTowerTeam Yes, just the outer zest of half a lemon.
Its making my mouth water just watching!..going to get a salmon now!!
@Skate4life12396 Make sure you make it crispy! It is the crispiness that tastes good!
@Gndmsddstny100 The lemon juice goes into the sauce, and it’s acidity helps cut through the rich salmon.
I have never ate fish in my 25 years of life believe it or not. So today will be my first time trying it and I’m trying this recipe. I hope I like it…. If you could recommend something for someone who has never ate fish I’d appreciate that. Thank you….
This one is my favourite:) especially that sauce, Delicious:D:D
Looked tasty, would love to see some chicken or beef satay.
If you do not plan to eat the skin, then you can remove it before cooking. Without the skin, it will take less time to cook, so keep an eye on it.
This looks so delicious. My kids love salmon, too, so I’ll definitely try this!
I Cooked this last night and it was Great Thanks for the post.
The video shows how to cook a salmon cutlet with the bone in. Do you mean cooking a whole salmon? I normally poach whole salmon in a special kettle with onions, herbs and wine.
No, because the initial frying is just to crisp the skin,. The center of anything (meat, fish etc.) will always cook slower than the outside.
Not from any movie. It’s called ‘Moving On’ from my royalty-free music collection 😉
Looks good and easy enough. Running wild makes some great stuff, almost time to get more cherry rub too
i have to learn how to cook salmon today i have a special guest and i looked at other videos but this on looks so gooddd
just a question on cooking steaks. I’m assuming you can eat the skins, but if you do not, what does it take away nutrients, macros, tastes?
No annoying intro, no drawn out background information, no tacky music…just the goods! Thanks!
I gotta hand it to you buddy. Excellent job! I am not a cook by any standards, and yet this simple recipe was so easy to follow and the SAUCE is DELICIOUS! I’m eating it right now, and I just had to thank you for this absolutely fantastic recipe. Was so fast to make! Two thumbs up.
the skin is the best bit if its nice and crispy…dont be put off by the clowns who dont eat the skin! to be honest they dont know what they are missing! cheers
I am in love with salmon. It’s delicious, healthy, Mmmmm…. Your recipe is very good, thank you. Can only yoghurt be used for the sauce? I don’t eat mayonnaise. I’m not fond of it, it makes one fat and raises bad (LDL)cholesterol through the eggs.
Try that Greek seasoning on some lamb. My girls love it when I c[k a leg of Lamb on the Rotissierie with Rosemary and Olive oil.
Yeah, it’s delicious when it’s all crispy like this. Just make sure you have removed the scales first though.
salmon doesnt take that long to cook max 8-10 min on each side unless u like dry fish?
An amzing dish. Salmon is my favourite fish. I had a fantastic salmon dish in France. I really thought you would be in the finally of Masterchef and I went to Saint Malo, I go every year in that direction, and that dish really made me wanna go back sooner rather than later!
Hahaha Sexy Drizzle of Olive oil, love it. This dish is one of my favourites:) i’ve cooked about 4 times now, and i never get tired of it:), and every time i do, the skin is better each time, so crispy and tasty:D and that yogurt sauce yummm.:D:D
@Omgtheykilledme You can eat raw salmon as sushi or sashimi if it’s really fresh. Adding lemon or lime juice to strips of salmon ‘cooks’ the fish as well (Great for salads). ‘Hot’ smoked salmon does actually cook the fish, but ‘cold’ smoked salmon is really just a preservative. All are equally delicious:-)
I love your “hotel room on wheels” style of camping haha. The older I get, the less I want to sleep in a tent! Gonna try this recipe soon, looks really good.
great video but I send your videos to my Spanish friends, could you add in numbers the temp for the oven with a little pic of an oven and the time. thanks
eating this right now:) I don’t have dill on hand so I used chives!
No way in hell would I EVER cook on a campground or park grill. Nope nope nope. Those things have been peed and pooped on by everything around there, including idiot drunks.
Komik bir video eğlenceli. Yalnız yunan baharati benim ülkemde yok. Ama ben chef paul seasoning kullanıyorum bu baharatlari Amerikadan sipariş vermiştim toplam 5 adet büyük kutu baharat. Teşekkürler güzel tarif.
Can I pleeeaaaaasseee have a shoutout
I’m literally your biggest fan❤❤❤❤❤❤
greek rub? absolutely a must as it will make winter feel like summer whether I can grill or not…
Great video once again. I would like to see a smoked ham with a spicy apricot glaze, or some kind of spiced up glaze lol
Try that seasoning on some pork ribs and glaze with some oyster sauce….yummy!!
Next time marinate the chicken in some Greek Tzatziki sauce and add a little of the rub while cooking. I hope you cleaned that grill
when you were done.
Jeff That look really good, really good, it also go good in a pita bread.
How about a chicken taco salad recipe like (El Rodeos) i can’t seam to get the right flavor profiles
Looking mighty tasty…. Cook what you want I enjoy all your cooks
Thank You so much for this recipe. Love from India. Btw, can we use dry dill instead of fresh Dill, we don’t really get dill here. Or is there any other herb we can use?
I don’t normally eat the skin on salmon steaks, as they don’t get any direct contact with the grill or pan and aren’t crispy. The skin on the fillet gets cooked directly on the pan and get really crispy and delicious (Just make sure the skin is descaled first). Enjoy:)
Campin cooks! We camp a lot and always looking for new digs!
I would like to see a fish cooked inside a watermelon. ROLL Tide
I love salmon a lot, just bought some steak today for lunch. =) Thank you for showing how to prepare it, it’s very helpful.
Oh man..Tom and I are thinkin about getting a camper…travelin…cooking…this is awesome Jeff and congrats to Jaxx!
I don’t think I’ve ever been to a Greek restaurant. Would like to give this flavor a try. I like the camping vids, so anything camping cooking. Thanks Jeff.
That sounds like a really nice seasoning:)
Aligator would be fun to see if you like it:)
Looks great. Maybe be nice to do some kind of dessert on the grill
@Folkboat11 Yes. Might be a bit too crunchy if you don’t 😉
Food looks great as usual. How about a duck recipe. The Chinese and French make great ducks.
Damn. Wish I didn’t have to work a thousand hours a week so I could go camping
Hi, I wonder at which step of the salmon or the dip does the minced garlic as listed in the description box do we add?
Looks great. Thank you for the season you sent me I can’t wait to use it
Hi Jeff,
Nice video and would love that seasoning.
Would you do another dish using the Dicada Disc?
That is a cool way to cook.
Thank you!
Pete
How about a good ole spatchcock chicken in the masterbuilt smoker!
Gonna try it for my salmon steak. Wish it goes well with some lemon
Jeff, I wasn’t aware that the St. John’s ran south to north, but I am aware of its potential for 10 lb+ bass. Are you sampling any of the fishing there? The chicken looked good. The only Greek food I’ve had is gyros, but I do get them on occasion and enjoy them. It’s good to go somewhere nice AND still stay away from the crowds, isn’t it?
I would love to see a nice HOT TexMex recipe! Greek flavor is awesome, I had some greek sausage for breakfast that blew me away! Love your vid’s.
What is the difference between a Kosher salt and a regular table salt?
