My dad didn’t belive you need sun for vitamin d now he knows
I thought I had chronic pain from years of dance.I got my blood work and have low vitamin D.smh.Why wasnt this a thing generations ago?Possibly are genetically modified foods and environments.
Sugar is very inflammatory to the body. I gave it up Lang ago and people never believe that I as old as I am. It ages you. I always did Atkins but the past 2 years I’ve done Keto. Love it! Check out Dr. Eric Berg YouTube videos. Sounds like she is doing a lot of what he advocates.
low on vitamin D? just eat carcinogenic meat or dairy and get those levels up! that way you’ll have energy for chemo!!
They forgot to mention all the other symptoms of low vit D like….
Shortness of breath
Palpitations
Tingling in hands and feet
Exhaustion
Headaches
Knee pain
Heavy legs
Dry eyes
Heaviness in your head
Vit D deficiency is no joke people!
Excellent video, and very eye opening. I would like to request a video on auto immune diseases, like lupus. Doctors are so quick to prescribe medications like plaquenil or steroids even when I have never exhibited symptoms.
As for “many people are eating plants and doing just fine” I don’t think so. People are not “doing just fine”. My argument is:
people have all sorts of problems but we don’t know about them cos they don’t tell I had many problems and people thought I was doing fine, I wasn’t telling anyone abut my problems;
you don’t just get problems over night, it takes years, little pain here, headache there, when you are over 40 this, when you are over 50 that etc. I don’t know ANY old person without any problem/illnesses, problems arrive sooner or later.
Paleomedicina knows this when someone comes to their clinic and they are ill, they always test their healthy partner, too. And what they ALWAYS see is that partners have the same gut permeability, they just haven’t developed any problems/illnesses yet. But in the future they will. Gut permeability guaranties you’re gonna get ill with time. Why do you think there’s so much cancer these days? All those people diagnosed with cancer are “doing just fine and thriving” until they don’t anymore and get cancer and die. Or something else. And one more thing all those people “thriving” are fairly young, wait until they get older.
Just FYI: depending on where you live, your skin can only produce vitamin D between 11am and 2pm in the warmer months (April September).
#endthewarongluten. “I eat ezikial bread, but don’t eat gluten”
Been carnivore for 2 months, life is great these days. The trick to successful carnivorous diet is obtaining 60-80% of calories from fats. Beef suet is delicious and a staple in my diet. It is packed with vitamins, unlike mct oil or butter.
I am surprised that none of your supplements are from Young Living since you love YL products so much and they offer such great, high-quality and well-tested ones. Would love to hear more from you about that!
Bret, You are an amazing interviewer! Where did you learn your technique?
“Actuall my lab tests were all lost by the company that took them” hmmm.
What a fabulous interview! I love Amber and I love Dr. Scher! Amazingly well done. I have been nervous about going carnivore because of my cardiovascular indicators (high CAC, high triglycerides, low HDL, high CRP). But after listening to this interview I’m thinking that the potential benefits (for things like the chronic inflammatory response I have in my body to long term Lyme) might outweigh the other unknowns. Wow. Just Wow. I want to share all of Dr. Scher’s podcasts on my FB timeline!
David Feldman did the lab on his carnivore diet and he has found something very interesting on how his eating impacts his triglyceride and cholesterol. Please google him.
Great video! Please keep sharing this valuable life enhancing/saving information! Blessings
Thank you so much for your video! I wish you would make a longer one of a store walk through haul!!:)
Her story is so interesting. I feel fine eating mostly plant based so I have no incentive to change. Hopefully we figure out how to fix this problem so people can be well and enjoy the delicious flavors of plants. I suspect it’s all about the microbiome, dead processed foods, antiobiotic use. Also wondering about allergies, how avoiding exposure to peanuts is what made peanut allergies more common. Low dose exposure over time lowers the allergic response. Jordan Peterson said he’s become much more sensitive to many foods since going carnivore, that sounds risky to me. To become incapable of digesting a huge array of foods means less survival resiliency during hard times. Not always going to be able to find enough meat if things collapse. It’ll be hard enough to food ANY food in a total collapse. I want to remain able of digesting a wide variety of foods, so I figure keep eating those foods. I wonder if eating food from a healthy natural garden helps populate our guts with the kind of microbes to digest those foods. Might have to get a fecal transplant to become capable of digesting plant foods if you’ve become totally incapable of it. So amazing that it can cure antibiotic-resistant c. diff.
Is the carnivore diet evidence based or anecdotal? I’d like to read some peer reviewed studies on this…
I love Amber….she has helped me so much in my getting healthy journey
I have suffered from Lyme’s Disease over 20 years and been on Carnivore for about 8 weeks. I no longer use a cane, my hands no longer lock up, I no longer wake up in pain. I love this!!!! It has changed my life. Not going back!
Carnivore or a meat based keto diet both work extremely well. Carnivore is also keto since you are in ketosis when eating carnivore. Great talk. The bacon experiment is an easy way to dabble with zero carb.
Hi Shea, I love your channel and your videos. Medical/health information is a tricky topic especially if you are giving advice when you are not in the medical field or have some other special qualification. People can check/look up supplements on Consumerlab.com (this site is by subscription but worth it for your health! I am in no way affiliated with it, I subscribe and have been floored at what real lab testing reveals compared to what we are sold on labels.) They conduct neutral 3rd party testing for consumers not the supplement companies. People can even send in their supplements to have them tested to verify if they really are what they say on the label. I looked up the MegaFood Balanced B vitamin and it is NOT approved! I did not look up the others. Please be careful giving advice outside of your wheelhouse.
Until I found Amber’s blog and other work, carnivory looked to be an “extreme thing” only for the body building “bro” types. They take steroids too so how healthy can this be? But now having tried it myself for the past year, I am so glad I found her as well as Dr Georgia Ede. Keto helped me reduce my seizures quite a lot but going carnivore made them go away completely. The weight loss was a nice side effect.
Evolutionary speculation has no place in a logical fact-based scientific discussion. 1:05
We also don’t know what types of plants our ancestors may have eaten. People on the paleo diet have discovered a multitude of plants that we don’t eat in the western world. 22:00
The availability of food can vary by location and time in history. 34:00 But animals are at times more readily available than plants. And a carnivore diet is more suited to intermittent fasting then low carb.
Yes we didn’t need freezers. In the summertime the Intuit would just let the fish get stinky but some Indians did dry their fish and other meats like she says.
After watching a few of your podcast I can see you’re more comfortable with CEOs and public officials than you are with carnivores but as a cardiologist I guess I can’t blame you.
Thank you for all of the helpful ideas. I enjoy your video’s…
Look forward to reading the new book cheers to everyone’s brain health!
I’m exactly the same…I can’t eat any plants. Even if this way of eating does pose some sort of a risk, I’d rather live a quality shorter life than a longer one full of suffering. My mental health has never been better. This is such a wonderful podcast!! Thank you both for all of the great information! <3
Hey it’s common in winter’s agreed but what about monsoons? The sun is less so does this effect as well with levels of vitamin D going down?
I’m still waiting for scurvy. Isn’t that supposed to kill us carnivores?
Sun exposure? I am much more concerned about skin cancer than low vitamin D, especially since it can be addressed with food and supplements.
I’ve been told by my Dr. to take 5,000I.U. of vitamin d3 and to get my levels checked again in 3 months. My numbers were very low.
Some say plant based foods are good, some say carnivores good, some say ketogenic diet good, some say eat a little bit of all is good, I don’t know what to do..
For acid reflux try bicarbonate of soda, one half teaspoon om a little water after night meals.
I’ve spent the last 18 years in Pharma. Pay attention to one key observation. “Pills are developed to address symptoms.” 1000% true in many cases. What turned my T2D around? Intermittent fasting, low carb, plant based foods. Still on medication but with a goal to eliminate them. My fasting blood sugars this am were 91. Waiting on my labs from this morning. I’m hoping my A1c is at least close to 6.0. I’ve dropped 10lbs in the last few weeks and feeling pretty good. I will never take a statin as a precaution as they also raise blood sugars. Dr Northrup and Dr Jason Fung are my go to channels. But don’t blame Big Pharma. Look toward personal responsibility. If you think taking a pill is a better choice than changing your habits or lifestyle, that’s on you.
Well done. A good introduction to the carnivore diet. Lots more to learn is a statement of the obvious! If it does work for people with depression could be a useful part of a strategy. Good to see clear thinkers like Psychiatrist Geogia Ede writing and speaking about her experiences with patients
22:10 how do you know we ate nose to tail? I’m sorry, but caveman would NOT have thrown away perfectly good animal parts. We also know that early humans smashed up the bones for the marrow bone.
It’s amazing that she started this in 2008. Wonderful insights. I’m learning!
Love the comment about being in the driver seat of our health, not Dr.! I say question everything and do your own research. Thank you for taking the time to put out these videos!!
Oh wow, I had the SAME experience with a lady in the front row who looked like she was hating my presentation…at the end, she thanked me, and that was just how her face looked. I thought she was thinking “this presenter sucks…the whole time!!” Funny how our brain works.
Thank you so much, absolutely amazing, inspiring.. there are so many people that need you.. great thanks:)
You probably have asymptomatic dry mouth. That leads to dental decay way more than regular people, regardless of what you eat (though limiting sugar is super helpful). I have it too..sometimes symptomatic, sometimes not, but it’s really hard to go to the dentist and not have a cavity.
19:50 “Supplementation usually leads to more problems than it solves.”
ThxU for sharing such helpful, knowledgeable, life enhancing advice; especially when (some) GYN Drs unfortunately are persuaded to push certain drugs as quick fixes in exchange for $$$ . Pls. Continue sharing ur knowledge w/ us. & saving our lives!!!!..Now that’s true healing
I like this video. You are more casual and not so over-the-top. You seem more “real”. This is meant to be a compliment, so I hope you take it that way.
Great video Priceless information Thank you so much. Liked and shared ❣️ I’ve been trying to tell about the danger’s of these chemicals, now I have someone with knowledge and authority to tell them. I pray they listen and learn
…it’s hard to unlearn what one perceives as a truth. Great perspective of an alternative. Still boggles my mind how ignorant we are about human physiology and nutrition. Love this video.
Love this and completely agree with you on the fruits. I also do very minimal fruits, breads and sugar. Lots of greens
The cultivation of grain began in Mesopotamia; modern day Iraq & Iran.
So this just popped up as I was watching your new videos, do you still use these supplements/brands? I’d love to see an update because I’m thinking of finally starting to take supplements, being 30 hits differently haha
I was looking at an old, out-of-print book recently. It talked about studies in cats, where they were fed only muscle meat. The cats eventually lost bone mass and developed deforming osteoporosis. The concluding observation was that wild carnivores also gnaw on bones, the calcium from which supports their bone structure. As a result now, in zoos, carnivores are given either bone meal with their meat, or bones to gnaw on. Humans aren’t cats obviously, but I worry about the risk of bone breakdown in human carnivores. Since bone weakening isn’t ‘felt’ it could easily be happening despite feeling good.
Great interview. No dogma from any side. Just a pleasant informative talk. Amber is a sweetheart.
What I took from it: keep an open mind and heart and do whatever works for you specially of you are sick.
People always say “talk to your doctor” but most of these doctors know nothing, especially about vitamin D deficiencies
Does exposure to a UV-Free 10000 Lux LED Therapy Light make up for the needed intake of vitamin D?
Thank you so much Tana and Dr. Amen for your dedication to sending a REAL life line into the abject suffering endured by so many.
As someone (young) diagnosed with cancer last year, I wish I had done 1,2&4 sooner!! Very smart to do it before you get sick!
I bet this is why when I lived in Vegas my hair and nails grew long, and my face was glowing. Came back to cold ass Cleveland and now I just feel sick and depressed. My hair is dry, coming out, and significantly shorter. I miss that Vegas sun.
I wonder if alongside beer and the opioid effects of grains, if ergot was also involved?
I’m Vitamin D Deficient so my doctor has me taking 4000 units of Vitamin D a day. I feel so much better now that I take it. No more out of sorts days, my BiPolar is under control and I feel healthier. If you think your Vitamin D Deficient you should get it checked out you will feel better knowing. This is the only vitamin I have to take and taking one vitamin a day is really no big deal and better than not feeling well all the time. Thanks so much for sharing this video.
Don’t forget to take Vitamin K2 mk7 too, to prevent calcium entering your arteries. Also magnesium, they all work together.
Great interview, carnivore 5 mo… Serious back pain is cured, mental strength regained, so much more.
what are the recommendations for esophageal ulcer if you don’t recommend PPIs?
What about insomnia? I got an infection (maybe Coronavirus, not sure). Had a fever for 3 days and then on day #5 BAM insomnia hit me. I haven’t slept properly in 3 months.
Late comment but I just love your channel so much. I can’t eat gluten or diary which means no milk chocolate or ice cream so I think I’m doing pretty good!
I was a cardiovascular pharmacologist way back when the first statins came out. Real cholesterol scientists from the medical school couldn’t believe that cholesterol was being demonized. None of us in research would take the stuff. We followed the marketing and it was devious. Glad you made that drug #1. But each time you mentioned the next drug you wouldn’t take, I said ‘Oh yes!’ You are so right on! And you put everything you say in clear language. Great going and thanks for your work!
As a holistic practitioner I have been guiding my clients with the same information you share so beautifully in this video. I so appreciate you doing this! I can use this as a tool to get my message heard. I can’t thank you enough. Many blessings.❤️
I am glad to have found you Dr Northrup. Everything you have said makes sense. I stopped taking the statin drug my doctor continued to prescribed despite of my cholesterol now back to normal. I felt like I was ageing rapidly and I started having difficulty with my legs, they felt heavy and uncomfortable just getting out of the car. Since I stopped taking the statin my legs are back to normal and I have more energy. I am 72 years old, and I do not drink alcohol or smoke. I try and follow a low carb, moderate fat diet with lots of fruit and vegetables. Thank you for your inspiration. Lots of love XX
I have found that melatonin before bed not only helps with sleep but also has kept my refux at bay for a couple years now.
Mammograms starting at age 20 until? Thermograms? Ultrasound alternatives? Pap test of exams for ovarian cancer?
Decent advice doc. Interesting the way a lot of these drug studies are framed to look good when in fact as you point out, many cause harm to aid only a few that might benefit. If one reads the actual studies or small print they can often find the true effects of such drugs. Oddly, most doctors seem hesitant to tell their patients, they just don’t know or care. Either way the drug companies win while most of us pay the price.
Love your channel girl!!Just a caution to others about your Egg recommendation, I’m not a nutritionist, but I have heard many stories of how eating Eggs cause Acne and higher cholesterol.
Absolutely LOVE your videos and the wealth of invaluable knowledge you impart. Thank you so much.
Vit K2 from K-vitamins.com prevents osteoporosis WITH D3 AND Magnesium. I take 10,000 D3 per day….
oncologists are complaining because breast cancer is DOWN 30 percent….due to D3 and K2
so what’s the recommendations for those who do have low bone density?
And they are talking now of putting children on statins for God’s sake!! These people are demented!!!
So glad I researched back in 2012 about all these drugs and what they do to your body…the ONLY pill I ever take if absolutely necessary is an aspirin…I accidentally stumbled on your channel…sooo glad I did you are a breath of fresh air lady!! My goodness and breaking your information down to laymen’s terms…bless you! Thank you for caring about people and their health…I personally try to stay off of processed sugar in any form….love your information will definitely pass this on to my loved one’s and friends..happy in Az
my hat goes off to the cardiologist… he has a lot to lose just by being open to other ideas
my doctor told me i had low vitamin d a few months ago and gave me me pills to take everyday. but i forgot to take them for 2 months and now I’ve had horrible headaches and been sick for weeks
Thanks ma’am you speak words of wisdom, I just subscribe to your channel, I need to watch more of your videos.
I can confirm about statins, made me feel like a zombie, muscle weakness and pain, felt depressed, never take those again.Cinnamon, magnesium, kurkuma are my medecine, and stop eating processed foods, they have sugar added, and other junk.More vegetables, less carbs, almost no sugar, mostly from fruits, avocado with kale or spinache and banana or blueberry smoothy.Walking or biking for exersice, some weight training. The statins are not needed.
i just came across this and i already know i have a Deficiency cause of blood work but i also have celiac disease so like can my life get any worse with all those symptoms
Drugs r really Killn us.
Ok YUK ON ANYBODIES OR THINGS URINE!!! REALLY
It’s really hard to say though cause my body may not be good with 1 thing & that 1 thing might be good for the next person’s body…. J/S
On the hormones just eat tempeh! I had issues with PMS when younger and upon suggestion of my sister in law to eat Tempeh and problem solved. Now at 49 years of age and told I should be having all kinds of menopause symptoms I have not had any. “Menopause” has been a nonevent for me thus far!!! Now the Dysgraphia I have that is another issue!!!
I have been listening to Dr. Northrup for many years. Brilliant, phenomenal lady. I am at a roadblock w/knowing when to stop bioident. Hormones. NO Dr. in my area has a clue. Help!!
She needs to get on Joe rogans podcast. Great interview, very balanced.
my vitamin D level is 8.20..n for this prblm dctr told me to take injections..
A very sensitive interview…nice and calm and very informative…I have followed her for some time now and I think she is a very endearing lady…I like the expression plant free…as a 2 yr carnivore it’s a term I will start using for myself now…well done!
Great video! 2 years later this is all so Relevant! Did you go to school for nutrition?
Bless you doctor!! All of my healthcare “providers” have tried to strongly encourage me to take statins no matter what I originally visited them for. The great news is since last August, I’ve reduced my cholesterol by 60 points!! Yet my doctor STILL wants me to take those statins!!
Speaking my language! Yes magnesium and exercise! No to statins and all these unnecessary pills. Advocate for your body and how you feel! Don’t just take what pharmaceuticals and some doctors push on you. Glad I never took any purple pill.
Excellent video!
I sent it on to my daughters and suggested they subscribe as well.
This Info is always being left out. If you have had your Gallbladder removed, then you will have D3 Deficiency along with all the OTHER fat based. vitamins. The Gall is the only Source of Bile in your body to break down Fat based Vitamins. Having lap band also. Taking OX bile AKA Bile salts, With every meal esp when used with a spoonful of GOOD fats Avacado, Egg yolks Or Pure Olive oil. D3 Needs to be taken every day at 20.000ius with Magnesium Glyc or Mal and M7-K2, Whole foods Vitamin C, No Corn based GMO C. Hope this Helps others.
Thats kinda irresponsible. You are not a nutritionist.
You should stick to fashion.
Excellent video, and very eye opening. I would like to request a video on auto immune diseases, like lupus. Doctors are so quick to prescribe medications like plaquenil or steroids even when I have never exhibited symptoms.
Shawns story is awesome way to achieve a healthy lifestyle! Brain damage or not, brain health is so important!

Could u cover methotrexate/dmards (ra, lupus, fibro) in a upcoming episode?
Thank you so much for your knowledge, wisdom and perseverance for getting the word out. You are helping so many people ❤
Wat do u do when ur allergic to the sun n the doctor isn’t really helping?
So many possible dick jokes here!!! Luckily for me, my bf takes care of my vitamin D intake.
Please, it would be very helpful to upload the videos with the option to configure subtitles… thank you very much!
Thank you so much for selflessly providing the downloads and for providing accurate knowledge
Not sugar not pie, not meat not fruits, people what life you have???? What you do at CHRISTMAS OR EASTERN
being vegan has nothing to do with vitamin D deficiency. its all about the sun
K2 is a dangerous supplement to take. Just get good K1 with good gut bacteria, your gold. It allows your body to make what you need. Taking K2 in supplement form can lead to easy toxicity.
How would someone with a cochlear implant go about getting a brain imaging scan? I am at my wits end, not being able to help my 23yo child as she grapples with depression, sinking from a spirited, vibrant person to someone barely functioning
Do anyone felt that a dramatic change on the skin I started getting random dry area, tired all the time, wierd dream, a lot of brain fog felt like someone was controlling me, back pain, and not a lot of motivation
Moved to Seattle from LA and after a year… I was feeling super highly fatigued… much more than normal. I didn’t have a choice but go to the doctor. Turns out my Vitamin D level was 12 ng/mL. Normal levels should be between 30-100. I had vitamin D deficiency. Now I’m taking 50,000 UI per week for 12 weeks. I’m currently at week 4 and I do feel better and every time the sun comes out I try to take as much as I can. Even 10-30 min of sun per day makes me feel super energetic!!!
I do have to admit I don’t like the sun and even when I lived in LA, I didn’t take much sun at all. However, in LA you will get sun somehow so you will be having that vitamin D. In Seattle that’s not the case.
So now I know when winter comes, I will be taking vitamin D supplements yes or yes!
Summarized list:
statins for high cholesterol
bisphosphonates for osteoporosis
synthetic hormones for menopause
proton pump inhibitors for acid reflux
aluminium and calcium containing antacids
Not just beauty, but brains too! I got several cavities after having my children too, and since then I have done everything that you talk about in this video. I guess that is why people think I am 20 years younger than I am. I recently turned 50! I was married to a pilot too. I enjoyed the schedule and the time to myself. But I guess that is why I am single now ha ha!
I wear hijab and my hair has thinned out a lot over the years, im wondering if its lack of vit d
Vitamin D helped me Treat and then Cure my “untreatable” condition, Chronic urticaria: This is my story: http://nutrainfo.net/chronic-urticaria-cure/
Yes it’s true…I had all the problems..my vd was 10..every winter I had irregular menstruation non stop bleeding more than 5 month..until I took birth control it wasn’t stop..last year same problem and also vibration under my left breast, twitching all over my body…and with all these symptoms that show in this video..I dont have pcod or any health problems…so my dr check my vd just because my bones were hurting…so my vd was 10…after taking vd all problems were gone in a month…and my period is regular now..
If u are extremely low on vitD getting vitD from health shop etc will not make u catch up where u should be with it u need high doses from doctor on prescription.then u can keep it topped up from health shops also a lot of people are advising to take k2 with it but its not always the case. My doctor has given me high doses of vitD but my body is high of calcium which has caused a tumour in my throat which i am shortly to undergo an operation for.so always be sure ur not too high in calcium before taking k2.Stay well guys
question of eating nose to tail is???????? 20 hunters kill a deer what do they do? lets divide the liver up into 20 pieces! really! tell me why in the keto world we do not hear eat your liver? was keto for 10 months and never heard you have to eat nose to tail. but you go carnivore you hear this. here is a quote from the FAT OF THE LAND”
The way in which Eskimos divide, for instance, a caribou between men and dogs has been described with some detail; here the fact is emphasized that the organ commonly spoken of as richest in vitamins, the liver, is nearly always given to the dogs—as are the sweetbreads and, indeed, all things from the body cavity except the heart and kidneys. The kidneys.are usually given to children, somewhat as if they were •candy.
I just switched from coffee to tea. In one day my esophageal pain, burning and spasms stopped! I had been denying the possibility that coffee could really be a culprit. Ok, believer now!
I really enjoyed this video, it was very helpful. I wondered if you mentioned anywhere in a reply or another video, listing the additional supplements that you take? I would love to know…. thanks!!!!!!
I’m 60. Excellent health. Muscular. Abundant energy. Never eat veggies. Never liked them. Could never get myself to eat them. My blood panels just came back with great numbers. Just realized that if I’m at this stage of my life and I feel great and strong and testing shows no sign of trouble, veggies must not be that important. Never thought about that until watching this video.
I’ve been taking a PPI since, after a year of choking on food and regurgitating then progressing to even liquids on occasion, I had a scope and was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis. It responded well to PPIs, thus why I take them. I already have been through 9 months of elimination diet guided by a nutritionist. I have a hiatal hernia and lost 120 pounds to a healthy weight. Three years later after gaining 30 pounds back, I have changed my diet to intermittent fasting and keto to lose that 30 pounds. I am a 63-year-old woman, diabetic (now off meds for that), taking med for hypothyroidism, a statin (even with statin and a whole food diet for years, cholesterol levels JUST got to a good place) (bad genetics), Lyrica for fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis (really bad but take nothing for it) and Prozac because I have suffered with dysphoria since childhood. I would love to get off the Prozac and statin. I am exploring natural herbals and mindfulness to help with osteoarthritis and Fibro pain but not there yet. I’m scared to take the statin yet scared not to. Even eating only healthy fats bad cholesterol really high and good really low.
I was diagnosed with Vietnam D deffisoins (sp). Once I started taking a supplement and I feel better.
Shea, Where did you get your shirt?? I was hoping it would be in the links. Ive been looking for one like that, soft denim material. Thank you. BTW, I just started watching your videos about a week ago and I’ve already spent $800 at Miranda Frye, love it!
No single vitamin can be to blame…. it’s unclean water, unclean air, lack of real minerals like Celtic salt. To much processing in food, toxic exposure like deodorant and toothpaste… fluoride and aluminium are deadly…. So if you test for vitamin d. YOU WILL without a doubt test low….. and the drug company will recommend their drug… thus is how they sell. Do your research before you trust in anyone else to promote your own health…. they prey on the sick..
Do anybody know about Hybetez Remedy? Does it really work? I hear a lot of people cleanse their high blood pressure issue inherently with this high blood pressure secret remedy.
Vitamin D3 and K2…..along with enough magnesium and calcium in the diet! Doesn’t work just to take D.
This video is so awesome, super informative thank you! I suffered for too many years with low d without knowing it, and going on a goose chase trying to figure out my body and digestive woes, all to find incredible improvements with vitamin d (plus co-factors) and iodine! If you’ve been feeling run down, don’t ever give up, you can and will find solutions that will work for you:)
I’m in Michigan so I’ve been prescribed 50,000 units per week. Makes me sad to know DURING the winter I can expect depression and low levels of energy. it’s December. Just took 5-2000 units. I’ve been doing this 5 times per week to equal the 50 NEEDED.
They forgot to mention the excessive head sweating that’s what made me see my doctor.
Gave this a thumbs down because you emphasize diet too much and you really cannot get enough D through diet. If that had been the case, I would not have ended up with a pretty low vitamin D level which was adversely affecting my mental and physical health.
Umm, yes there IS vitamin D in my vegan diet, thanks for your concern and spreading mis-information!
Not being fully awake..no emotions and cognitive impairment describes me so well
Eggs are so unhealthy that they legally can not be be called a health food! And we should Stop eating something that came out of some ones but!
YouTube chicks laying eggs
Despite the references to “recent studies” this is all old information. Guess it’s worth repeating however.
I take vitamins by Pure Encapulations on Amazon. These are the most pure, Vegan and free of fillers and other bad ingredients. I had the some major deficiency symptoms. I had no energy, depressed, hair loss, lots of pain in my back and joints. I started taking vitamin D3 5,000 IUD and Magnesium Glycinate liquid (the one that doesn’t make you go to the bathroom). Make sure you take magnesium 30 minutes before bedtime bc it helps you relax and sleep. You must take vitamin k2 with the vitamin D3 bc vit. D3 will not go to the correct places in your body and can cause kidney stones and other major problems. You must check your vitamins and see wich ones are fat soluable (eat fat like eggs, beacon, etc…)or water soluable (take with water and drink plenty throughout the day. I also started pro-10 probiotic by BioTrust and this has caused my stomach to shrink down to nothing in just 2 weeks. My life has changed tremendously. I am also going to order potassium BC my muscles are spasing and are weak, I am also ordering Acetylene cysteine which has many benifits and increases energy drastically. Liposomal Vitamin C 1,000 mg is another amazing vitamin most people are deficient in.
I don’t have vitamin d but that also means I don’t have the D….hehe
Medication free for 9 years pretty much speaks for itself. Thank you Amber for sharing that. JP
last time I was tested mine came in at a whopping 6 so my doctor put me on 50000 units for 3 months and then start taking over the counter regimen
Very good information,Dr. Northrup my doctor flipped out over my cholesterol,I’ve been doing keto for five months and my sugar numbers have been coming down. But she gave me a prescription for statins said I was going to have a stroke or heart attack.Scared me.I don’t know what to do.
I found out about my severe vitamin D deficiency in March and in two months my levels went upto 33 ng from 7. I am aiming for 55ng.I started with 4K IU of d3 then went on to 10k IU along with magnesium, Vit K2, fish oil. It was life changing! I also had to correct my severe B12 and iron deficiency with shots and infusions respectively.I took a zinc + b complex capsule too. I also made some dietary changes by limiting dairy, gluten and sugar. I am a different person now. I used to have extreme hair fall, fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, poor balance, bone pain, weak teeth, numbness in my toes, lack of concentration, poor memory, depression, anxiety and brain fog. My career, social life, relationships everything was suffering for so many years. I feel like over 75% of my problems are gone. It didn’t take too long, only a few months for this entire transformation. Please do not ignore nutritional deficiencies. I hope this helps people
It was so hard to get over my brain telling me I need vegetables, along with family and friends.. But I feel so much better not eating them. I bloat after a salad, was very telling. I eat veggies a couple times a month mainly just for certain recipes.
My level test came back as a 7. After two years it’s up to 27. Why?
FINALLY I KNOW WHY I HAVE BEEN SICK FOR SO LONG!!! I have had a cold for like a month, and it’s friggen June! Also, my back has been hurting when I cough. THANK YOU SO MUCH.I feel. better already.
Watching this in 2020 and all I can say is you’ve come a loooooong way Shea ♥️
I love it! Retired nurse. I just am a difficult patient because I subscribe to your beliefs. I just will not take all of the junk they want to subscribe.
agricultural sign lean nfqapdx credibility farm unity collapse headquarters.
Please get someone else to narrate your videos. Your voice is so annoying!
When u wanna watch but ur British so u pronounce vitamin differently so it sounds too weird
She’s, Please share the other supplements you take. This was very interesting.
I love this podcast, this episode in particular. Dr. Bret Scher always seems to ask the questions I would want to ask, and he does so in a logical order. And of course I listen whenever L. Amber O’Hearn talks. Her answers here (and in her lectures at various keto/carnivores forums) are always well-reasoned, evidence-based and eloquent. She is a joy.

I bet they didn’t even consult doctors or specialists, they just consulted Dr. Google
Dr Amen, I love your videos, totally packed with value. Can’t believe the rest of the psychiatry arena doesn’t yet do SPECT scans, it seems so barbaric, almost like blood letting, to not look at the brain. Thank you for all that you and Tana and your team do.
Great video…Thank you! I am experiencing a horrible side effect of blood pressure medicine and hoping your knowledge can help.
I have high blood pressure! and have been taking Amaloapin inconsistently for a few years.
Due to a recent rise in my pressure, I was prescribed an additional beta blocker, and suddenly my thick hair is shedding like crazy and becoming thin and dull, in researching and finding an alarming number of people going bald from these medications is horrible!
I was told by my MD because it’s a hereditary trait of my family I will be on the meds for the rest of my life.
Your expertise on these drugs would be greatly appreciated.
It’s awesome hearing an open minded, rational discussion without dogma or assumptions.
God made fruit so I eat that and my vegetables no bread no meats and no pasta high protein shakers
I have gone to a low carb diet, dramatically cutting sugar and adding good fats. I have lost 40 lbs in a year and I have come completely off heartburn medication. I am still arguing with my physician about statins. I was on them for eight years and suffered with joint pain. No more. My blood pressure and AC1 are good.
Hi. Shea..i love your channel and come across this one. However, this was two years ago. May you can update this video with the suggestions in the comments, and you were so serious here..i love the your bubbly and happy aura.
Shea we need a update video of this one please especially in this time that everyone is trying to stay as healthier as possible.

I loved it!!!
Excellent information….
Thanks for sharing.
Can you do a “prediction of fashion trends for 2020” video? I love your channel
Who’s going to listen to a computer scientist about nutrition? Let’s get more random people off the street who are not scientists or even have proof. There are lots of unhealthy vegans because they are still on a diet with refined sugar and refined carbs. Does she just eat meat and no veg? Or was it the refined carbs and sugar that done it?
I’ll put my house on it that it’s worked because she gave up sugar and refined carbs.
Super outdated diet info, check out Nutritionfacts.org for evidence based info about all types of food
Soaking with vinegar should be done also for beans lentils and chickpees
Here’s a question.
Mushrooms?
We can eat them and be plant free.
Anyone have any thoughts on mushrooms?
An updated supplement routine/work lunches/what you eat in a day videos would be super helpful!
I can tell its older but I’ve been really loving your videos
You are amazing ( and beautiful:) Thank you for all of your information.
Class act interview by both! Amber O’Hearn is definitely someone to follow, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen to!!
Amber is the queen of carnivory. I had been keto for a while before I stumbled on her interviews back in 2017. I then heard Dr Baker. I tried carnivore (from keto), and within 3 days back pain gone….. I can recreate the back pain any time I reintroduce them. carnivore for nearly 2 years now and never felt better, nor will I ever change
Agree with all you are sayinghave had bad experiences with Nexium. Stopped taking that after having a terrible reaction (I told my doctor NO). Will continue to resist taking the bisphosphonates for osteoporosis. But am made to feel bad by my internist, as if I am being irresponsible… Have had friends on the osteoporosis drugs who had breaks, fractures, and they are totally off of these. It is a mine field out there, so education is indeed key!! Love your books and videos, Doctor Northrup. We need doctors like you.
Good God woman! Live a little! I’m 58 years old with good health and good teeth. Why deprive yourself for heaven sake? Well, to each his own. But seriously, you could gain some weight. Eat CAKE
Thanks for this video. Hair up looks different. Used to seeing you with your long hair
Amber is an intelligent & Beautiful lady, I learned so much from her.
Thank you Doctor for having her.
Actually the theory of alcaline food and D3 works the other way around with cancer. It’s cancer that produces the acidic medium where it lives, it’s not that it’s starts to grow in a acidic medium, and it consumes D3 so that’s why it’s low in cancer patients. The actual reason for eating vegetables is that it’s filled with vitamins and minerals so it’s good for you. And you should be eating all the fruit that you want, you can’t cut that out.
Inspiring video, thanks Shea!
I subscribed two videos back after binge watching your vids for about a week now!!
Just wana quickly say; I can’t believe how highly strung some people can get in the comments section tho!?
the meat thing doesn’t hurt you. look up the keto diet. bread has carbs and it turns into sugar as soon as you consume it.
Could you please tell me where you got that adidas sweatshirt. I got my boyfriend the same one in men’s and cannot find a womens one anywhere online
I enjoyed this vid so much! I have always done the “palm” rule of thumb myself with meats! And my mom used to talk about eating colors of the rainbow! So funny! It’s a good way to remember to eat color! Side note, I love your makeup in the video!!! Xoox
This was one of THE most respectful and informative interviews I’ve ever seen. On anything. Dang. Excellent questions by Scher and O’Hearn is always so well-spoken and thoughtful. Thank you for this!
Shea, were you brushing twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste such as Crest, using a good soft toothbrush, flossing at night, using a fluoride mouthwash, and visiting the dentist 1-2 times a year? I do those things and I haven’t had very many cavities in my lifetime. I think I’ve only ever had 3 cavities and I’m 28. I eat sugar, drink tea, and do not take vitamins. ♀️ My guess is it was not your diet but how you cared for your teeth. Its also important to get a second opinion. I have heard of dentists scamming patients and saying omg you have x amount of cavities and need them filled now. Luckily I go to a very good southern country dentist who has been in practice for nearly 30 years and is not in it for the money.
Please show us a “what I eat” in a day or recipe ideas. You look great and you always have great energy! Gotta get motivated so wanting to see your recipes!
Did you learn some of these points from the Weston Price diet? The phytic acid stuff is very familiar! Its cool that you know about it!! Do you get your calcium from the darker greens?I know Weston Price diet is heavy on fats and dairy so people dont like it but Im just curious what you do for calcium. Thanks!
10k UIs daily, along with 100mcg of K2-mk7, also Selenium (Se), Iodine
(I) and Magnesium (Mg). I would say ´´never talk to your Md about
supplementing´´.
Oh my goodness, WHYYYYY didn’t I find this earlier? After my kids, my perfect teeth became susceptible to everything I ate and I went from never having a cavity to all of a sudden having 10 at 30 years old. I eat much like the way you do now, but I started too late and needed a root canal a few months after changing my diet. Ah…hindsight… le sigh
Hi Shea, Can you share what vitamins are the best for growing children?
Oh my goodness! This video was sooooo good! If everyone did exactly as you said, we would have one heck of a healthier USA! There is not a single person who would not benefit!
Thank you for this just adding that people who take vitamins need to have their blood tested regularly to see what they are missing. The doctor can help guide you and prescribe the blood tests
A lot of people do not realize that there is such thing as too much vitamins… In fact it can cause some really serious health problems. So I highly recommend talking with your doctor before starting any kind of vitamin regimen.
Plants don’t grow very well in the snow. They ate what’s available. Fish is now poisoned and is not sustainable and the Inuits are suffering from health problems now. But that’s also with the introduction of western processed foods.
Hi Shea,
I know this is an old video but I was wondering if you could suggest some vegetable juice recipes.:)
You’re a baby in here can you update this video for 2020 please!
Oh, and I am an RN with several MD friends, so I can back up everything you recommend.
Hi! Would you do an updated video of your health routine and tips? Thanks so much!!
I like her term, “plant-free diet”.
It allows animal derived foods other than meat, and suggests ‘liberation’ from plant foods.
I’ve been dabbling with the term “faunivore”, as in “flora and fauna”.
Excellent video, brilliant guest and wonderful interviewer.
Thanks heaps.
Amber>Gold
I love Ambers mind! The diet Doc is irritating as he is constantly looking for ways to disprove the Carnivore eaters! I really wish I was a smart man and started eating Carnivore 40 years ago!
Great video per usual! I know this one is a while back, but I’ve noticed you mentioned your teeth health in some of your newest videos too. My teeth are terrible even though I care for them properly. Was wondering if you have considered doing a video on your teeth care. What you use and eat to prevent cavities and even heal them. Thanks! Love your videos ❤️
I’ve been carnivore for almost 6 months. Tried to incorporate some carbs and plants back into my diet but my depression and arthritis came back and hit me harder than ever.
Thanks for the interview. I love Amber.❤
Looking at some new research and science, a completely new way we look
at supplements. Its about supplements that are not manufactured for the
masses, but specifically for you and what your body is actually in need
of. If you are interested feel free to email me at
joshua.p.jane@ gmail.com
BELOVED Dr. CHRISTIANE NORTHRUP WE are SOOOOOO ABSOLUTELY BLESSED by YOUR BRILLIANT, AUTHENTIC, LOVING,CONSISTENT LIGHT that has EMPOWERED YOU to INSPIRE US to HEALTH and WELL BEING for ALL of these MANY MOONS. As YOU PERSONALLY DEMONSTRATE to US YOUR AMAZING AGELESS HOLISTIC BEAUTY. THANK YOU for being OUR EARTH ANGEL ♂️❗
You mention no idea for lunches or dinner sides
Everything else sounds like pretty good options
You should deff do a more detailed video for foods
Amber is a fantastic source of knowledge, also a great balance between science and human understanding. She inspired me to adopt a primarily carnivorous diet.
The sun gives us D so called vitamin D is a hormone and we aren’t getting as much because they spray the fuking skys and block the sun!
Get the meat out of the diet and the oil…don’t agree with Dr Northrop on her views on supplementation…glad she is speaking up about drugs though!
I normally love your videos but this one I have to disagree with.
Some of the things you recommend are not really that good for you. Eggs, for example, are still an animal protein and it has been shown that eating two eggs per week increases one’s chance of becoming diabetic among other diseases.
Limiting your fruit intake to two pieces of fruit per day is also misleading ; fruit has sugar but it also has a ton of fiber and the benefits in nutrients and antioxidants outweigh the sugar content.
These videos have helped me so much. Knowledge is indeed power.
Wow Shea you are surely a very smart person.
Been watching you for a while and decide to go back in time and see your older videos.
You are my favorite you tuber indeed!!
Congratulations on your success!!
Hello from Miami.. when are you vacationing here??
Hi Shea! Great video. I’m trying to quit sugar (I read the book I Quit Sugar), but honestly I’m finding it really hard. I’m wondering if you could do a video just about quitting sugar-how you beat cravings, how you maintain the no sugar approach long term, etc? Thanks so much!
