Step 2 Dip each shrimp into egg and then coat with coconut mixture. The recipe for Low Carb Air Fried Coconut Shrimp. As mentioned, you will need a low carb bread crumb alternative for this recipe.
I have a few choices for you to choose from. There are some great low carb or keto friendly alternative to panko bread crumbs.. Nut crumbs is an alternative that has been rising in popularity lately. I am not a pork eater myself however, there are some folks who.Place shrimp on paper towel and make sure they are dry.
Mix coconut milk with egg in one bowl. Mix flour, coconut, garlic powder, salt and pepper in another bowl. Dip Shrimp.
In second plate, combine coconut flakes and crushed pork rinds. Set aside; Pat shrimp dry. Toss in arrowroot powder. Dredge shrimp in egg wash.
Dredge shrimp in coconut mixture. Use your hands to pat the mixture onto the shrimp so it sticks. Make sure they are well coated.
Heat coconut oil over MED HIGH heat in frying pan until sizzling. In a bowl, combine the shredded coconut, almond flour and spices. Whisk your egg into a second bowl. Dredge the shrimp in the egg, and then carefully toss them into the coconut mixture. Use a fork or spoon to carefully move the breaded shrimp from the bowl to the baking rack.
Melt butter and olive oil in a skillet. Saute onion or shallots on medium heat until they are softened. Increase heat to medium-high and add prepared shrimp and cook until they are just totally opaque or nearly entirely opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside until later.Combine Panko and coconut in the third bowl.
Dip the shrimp into the flour, then the eggs, and then dredge the shrimp into the coconut mixing, pressing gently to adhere. You want a lot of coconut on each shrimp. Working with one shrimp at a time, dredge it in the cornstarch mixture, then dip it in the egg white, and roll it in the coconut, making sure to coat the shrimp well. Place on the prepared baking sheet, and repeat with the remaining shrimp.
Peel and devein the shrimp. Rinse and dry well. Heat coconut oil in a large skillet over medium low heat. Add the garlic and pepper flakes. Cook for one minute.
Add the shrimp. Cook for 4 minutes or until done turning once. The shrimp will begin to turn orange and curl into a “C” shape when done.. Add the juice of a lime, stir and cook 1.
Instructions Whisk the coconut aminos, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and stevia in a bowl. Toss with shrimp and chill in the refrigerator. Toast sesame seeds in.
Place 4-5 shrimp into the coconut flour spice bowl and coat on both sides. Dip into eggs then coat in shredded coconut and pork rind mixture. Place onto a baking sheet and finish coating the rest of.Bread the shrimp. Dredge the shrimp in seasoned coconut flour, dip in the egg mixture, and press in the coconut flakes.
TIP: After breading, place the shrimp.Dredge shrimp in coconut mix. Use your hands to pat the mixture on the shrimp so that it sticks.
Make certain they are well coated. Heat coconut oil over MED HIGH heat in skillet until cool. Fry shrimp 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Take care to not overcook.

The buffet snow shrimp is my son’s favorite and he hasn’t been to the buffet since his dad moved away about a year ago. I promised him I’d finally stop by and pick him some up, but the buffet was unfortunately closed down.
I looked up with recipe with low expectations, but am AMAZED by how delicious and authentic this tastes. Soooo good! 100%!
Hi. Love all your awesome info. What do you think of Birch Benders Micro-Pancakery pancake mix from Costco?

crysLooks really delicious Coconut Shrimp
Bell Bell Bell
If I were to make this without using flour or breadcrumbs (I’m on a wheat-free diet challenge!) would it still be possible? I know it wouldn’t be even close to the crispy texture but is it possible to do it with just eggs and the air fryer? Thanks in advance!
OMG! So seriously I would love if you would do a silly video about ‘storage’. How to store, where to store and then for how long (ie., mayo, worstechire sauce, soy sauce, etc). I don’t buy many of those ‘condement’ items you have in your pantry because I don’t want to give up my refrigerator door space with silly things that I won’t use that often. PLEASE!!! I would buy more of the ‘specialty non everyday use’ items if I knew I could store in the pantry and not my coveted fridge! Thanks for all you do!
Question: What would be a good side dish with this? white rice and….?!
As long as shrimps are inside this recipe am in for chopping it.
I have done it this way before..how crispy was it After frying?
This is God’s Time/God’s Love dear

I love shrimp any time and any day. And this looks delicious
Pro Tip, put your shrimp in the freezer for 15 minutes after coating. They will stay together much better!
You can also test hot oil by inserting a chopstick into bottom of pot of oil. If it sizzles, it’s ready to fry.
Just made this and it was amaaaaahhhzing! I Bought the book last month and I’m working my way through it. Thank for your awesome recipes!

SUGGESTION: Need Rose” tasting video. Wine is expensive. I have been so disappointed in several of the organic wines. It would be great for you to do a video on Wines and save people a lot of money on “trying” baaad wine:)

Hello Mr. Bobby and your Wife, as well as your whole crew! I do live at El Paso Tx. I love your videos. I’m new doing this, I already started cocking some of your suggestions. The next one it’s going to be the Keto Loaf of Bread to use to make French Tost. Thank You for sharing with us about the Biggest Star Bucks right from Chicago!!
I love d mixture.shrimp is my favorite tin to eat.wow it came out beautiful 4 u
I received your new cook book last month. How is it so much talent resides in you folks? The book is gorgeous and flavor is out of this world. Never knew I could like cauliflower so much cauliflower mash, cauliflower rice, etc. Tell folks to NOT go to traditional nutritionists. After being on Keto, I lost ten pounds, lab results revealed 30 points drop in total cholesterol and A1C 6.1, and triglyceride took a nosedive. This is after having been treated for 20 years for diabetes and cholesterol. I have a bad addiction to carbs so sometimes it is difficult, but your keto breads satisfy me. Flank steak Delicious.
Nutritionists teach bad medicine. Keto rocks, my lab results don’t lie. Love you folks, Jeanne from Colorado
It looks yummy! This is totally new recipe for shrimp and I will give a try
When I go to the Chinese Buffet the Coconut Shrimp I see is breaded…. Do you have a recipe for that kind?
Hi! Im hoping you can still respond! But should i use Rum as in alcohol? Or rum extract or something?
WE LOVE YOUR COOKBOOK!!!! We want to cook our way through it! It is the easiest to read and the pictures are great. Thanks for your Awesome videos!!! Lane and Rhonda from Collierville Tn. Hey, Y’ALL!

Seriously Dude Norway has the best farming practices in the World????? I noticed you Slyly put off answering that question twice when you were asked where does it come from, you people out there better watch this video – https://youtu.be/RYYf8cLUV5E
Hello, thank you for posting such beautiful recipe, definitely going to make it.
One question: rum what it gives to shrimp? I know u say if u leave this out, it doesnt alter the taste much. But I want to know what it exactly does, what is the science behind this, does it make the shrimp softer like vinegar in meat, and can we substitute with vinegar? Thank you!
can take a regular recipe and turn it into a Keto friendly recipe?
Love your book! I made The Creamy Mushroom Chicken tonight! It was delicious!
What temp is the oven supposed to be at for the first 15 minutes its in?
I love the energy of Bobby and Art! They make a great team!!! I’m not on the keto diet but considering trying the cookbook out anyway!!
I really miss the shrimp’s taste. I am allergic to shellfish.
I absolutely love coconut shrimp. The flavors of coconut and shrimp are perfect for each other. These shrimp looks crisp, golden, perfect and yummy yum yum! Well done
Everyone beeeee careful with this Bobby Parrish guy. He advertises for Thrive Market which is a big scam. They advertise free trial which isn’t. They are going to bill you auto bill after 30 days. They took information and set up a Thrive account from my Paypal. I have had to notify Paypal in regard to this scam. Multiple phone calls chats emails they are refusing to cancel an account that I never authorized. Bobby’s link to Thrive is a link to hell. Bobby has to this point refused to do anything about it. Anyone that gets involved with Thrive will be charged $59.95. You can not cancel until after your billed so they are going to get their $59.95. You can not get a refund as they will not answer the phone or chat or email. Trained customer service agents trained to steal, stonewall, and lie. 2x they told me I didn’t even have an account. That was to trick me and they will just auto bill. BE CAREFUL with these crooks…
Did you ever include mommy’s milk in the recipe? You say mommy’s milk is the best..
I do not think that the statement about farmed salmon in Norway having the highest standards in the world is correct. If it is then farmed fish from other countries is even worse. Studies have shown salmon from Norway is the most toxic food. I don’t eat farmed salmon.
Could you please do a video on Macros and why they are so important on KETO lifestyle?
Watching from Massachusetts! You look great and sound great!
my coconut cream wasn’t all white. What type of coconut cream do you use and the name brand
It is Monday morning and woke up and noticed your book on my tv stand that a friend bought me. I was doing the amazing happy dance.
Oh my God this looks so bomb LOL… I would love to make this thanks for sharing I am artist on YouTube and I also like makeup…would love to connect become friends and support each other’s channels..
SUGGESTION: You need a compost bucket on the kitchen counter. You can make a spot in the back yard for the compost to be dumped each day. It makes great fertilizer for the garden and there is less waste.
The fact that the cookbook focuses on savory is a plus! Most cookbooks are half desserts and if you are on strict keto…less than 20 carbs a day and no chemicals or processed foods…recipes are hard to find. I have avoided buying most keto cookbooks because they are full of recipes with sweet potatoes, carrots, erythritol and other medium carbs or processed things I don’t want to use. I just found you today and I am loving it so far.:)
Salt questionwhere can I find that Utah salt you mentioned?
Another live stream?? An hour and a half. Yep not watching. Please bring back actual edited videos.
Expecting subscribers to sit through an hour to 2 hours of this…. really? Don’t have time for that, sorry.
If your awesome, short, entertaining and informative videos are gone, then that a damn shame.
Maybe use a fine sieve to pick up floating burnt pieces? I buy mine at an asian market.
I just watched this and shared it on Facebook. I looooove your videos…huge fan! Great foods and funny
I love love love coconut shrimp thanks for sharing looks yummy
Hey Bobby Happy Friday. You denigrated refined salt but there’s good reason to refine. Sodium when bonded is safe but it does not exist in nature alone and it’s a good thing. It’s a metal and volatile when water hits it. Earth would never have existed as livable. Earth would be burning and hot, hot, hot. When bonds are broken Sodium is a metal something like Mercury but sort of mushy. Toxic stuff. But Hashem wanted a place for life to exist. And that pretty pink Himalayan salt that all cooks seem to be enamored with most likely contains many heavy metals and various other toxins even if it is pink. That’s why NaCl is refined, hello. Go safer Kosher.
All the best to you, your lovely wife and beautiful new baby. What’s the baby’s diet going to be when weened?
Be careful…most cheap monk fruit options are actually using erythritol and if you are serious about keto…erythritol is not a good option. Pure Monkfruit is great and you just use less.
Definitely going to make this recipe this week! Love your channel and you are so pretty
Cookbook purchased. (Love). Pork rinds purchased () Getting ready to do this recipe 9/21/19. Wait, what? Need another flour? ❤️
Hi Bobby. What will be a gluten free substitute for people who dont eat pork rinds.

My fiance goes crazy for this dish and crab rangoon. It is a hour drive to the neatest place that serve creamy coconut shrimp. I love forward to surprising her.
Thank you so much for sharing this easy dish, I make it all the time to my kids delight. -Jessica
Can you reply with the list of ingredients? I’m having a hard time trying to understand the ingredients from the video.
Hi. I’ve become a big fan of your videos (especially the haul videos). Thanks for putting out such great content! Quick question regarding the left over ingredients from making the shrimps, what do you do with them? Do you have to toss out the left over coconut flour, and pork grind/panko flakes(since it was in contact with raw shrimps). And what about the left over avocado oil? How would you store it? If you were to throw out used oil, what’s the best way to do it without making a mess? Thanks in advance.
Wow My mouth is watering thanks for sharing
thanks for the recipe sir been searching for it on how to cook this
the link provided for the printable doesn’t work, any way we can get the recipe?

Chai looking so appetizing and neat..the end result is amazing
hi, would not using vanilla extract make a big flavour difference. I only have the thin vanilla essence not the creamy extract. Can I use that as a sub and how much should I use. Thanks your recipe looks delicious
I am so intrigued by this recipe, I’ve never even heard of the dish and I can’t even imagine what it tastes like.
Thanks for your videos, Rose is so adorable she looks like a very sweet little girl, I’m happy for you both
My dad owns a Chinese buffet he saw this recipe and thought he would try it. So many great thoughts about the recipe.
Only thing you need is 2 eggs and the coconut and shrim that’s what I do for mines and air fryer period
I think you should make the slaw before you make the shrimp. it looks so good. can’t wait to try this.
Love it Ken, I’ve made this and it’s better than the traditional…hope you don’t mind if I share my dipping sauce with you. To make a low carb sauce that pairs wit the fried coconut shrimp, combine mayonnaise, grated garlic, lime zest & juice, and sriracha in a small bowl. You can adjust the amount of sriracha based upon how spicy you like it.
Ok, I ordered your cookbook on Kindle. I’m so excited because you do bring the flavor! And thanks for mentioning a sub for the pork rinds… we don’t eat pork as well!
Time to flip da shrimps, otherwise they’re overcooked, tough
These guys are crooks be careful. GET A JOB Bobby stop scamming people.
Every blue moon I cook, but my mom is coming over in the morning..
and even though I love to eat coconut shrimp, I have never made it, so I am excited to be making it tommorrow
So the plan
make creamy coconut shrimp, my version I will have $2 already cooked (25 big)shrimp, add $1 scallops (30 tiny scallops)from dollar tree, ravioli with shrimp inside (never cooked it before), $1 (10 small) egg rolls, with rice..(my version the shrimp are done but need to be warmed up, but I do need to cook the scallops in butter and boil the ravioli/shrimp) and lobster sliders
I really like how the video was done. Very peaceful and looks like a good recipe for this styled shrimp. Thank you.:)
You’re making me wanna go keto instead ofvplant based!!!
Love this kind of Coconut Shrimp. Thank you for sharing the recipe and your skills. It is a shame you seem to no longer be making your cooking videos, as I see it has been 2 years since your last video. Hope you are well and hope to see more of your videos some day. Thank you.
I have coconut whipping cream…do I still have to mix it with heavy cream or whole milk? I got coconut heavy whipping cream from Sprouts:)
I’ve been looking for this recipe forever.
Everything I found was mayo-based recipes, but this hits the spot.
