Tomatoes, all squash and eggplants are fruits; latter classified as berries. Doesn’t that make a difference? And what about avocados, how do they stack up?
…dip mine in ghee or dark chocolate chips…no more than 2 minutes of hear
MOST IMPORTANTLY
what are the oxalate levels
In these vegetables.
Spinach, kale, very high oxalate
Hi nice beautiful video I’m Pakistan please help me job forms labour please help
I will incorporate more veggies down the track, at the moment my digestion is loving animal based only, my bone broth has veggies in it of course for flavour and aroma.
Working wonders for my joints after 30 plus years of dodgy shoulders and inflammation.
52 feeling 30 again. I still drink too much beer and wine though.
Thank you for always giving us good tips! I really love your channel!
Wonderful video Dr Becky! Thank you! Sausage with sauerkraut looks like something I will definitely add to my meal plans.
Did you add nutrients on day 1, or did you wait until after germination was complete and it was time to put them under the light?
You’re the goat I’m starting my vegan diet and I wanna make sure none of my greens go to waste
Thank you Dr. Becky. I love Kimchi as an alternative to sauerkraut.
I love potato french fries; What are some good alternative choices? Thank you
Time to make a shopping list! Is it ok to put cheese on some of those?
Hi, will you be able to tell if bleach is used in the so called sanitized water?
Does the sauerkraut still have the health benefits if it is cooked?
Do you know the carb count for celery root? I found a Keto recipe for like French fries but using celery root.
Loved this video! Got the veggies down. What else would be good if you don’t eat a lot of meat?
Thank you for a great video. I wish I’d found you sooner! Very informative and helpful. I immediately subscribed and clicked the bell to be notified when you post again (which I rarely do). I know for purposes of this video you spoke about some of my favorites in the like the summer squash. As we are going into fall, and eating low carb can get expensive, eating vegetables that are in season can help cut costs. Could you talk about some of those and the best ways to fix them? I love butternut squash, but don’t know if it’s good for low carb. If you already have one like this, if you could just share the link, I’d be very grateful:-).
I make an asparagus omelette with garlic, onion, butter and eggs. Top it with parmigiana. This is a good supper meal, with a salad.
Thank you Dr. Becky for another informative video. I really enjoyed this video because most videos on YT regarding low carb are focused on Keto and tend to leave out info on veggies…so Thank you again!! ❤
Most garlic products sold in the US, especially those in the big box stores, come from China.. I NEVER knowingly eat anything that comes from Chinatheir food safety and quality standards are abysmal. Garlic is easy to raise.. US grown garlic products can be purchased online if none are available locally.. Avoid all fish and shrimp raised not only in China but also all of Asia.
Yummy! I just love sauteed spring mix. I just made some for lunch and threw some cooked shredded rotisserie chicken in it. Delish!
Wonderful array of delicious foods included in this video. Thanks Dr. Becky. Cheers!
Wow! Please don’t stop making videos! They’re so good and helpful!
Great video! I’m trying to get my Dr. Berg 8 cups of greens in. Any suggestions on salad dressing and what to put as toppings. (Keto friendly)
Thanks Doc. We have great vegetables here in Amish county of Pennsylvania.
I LOVE Cauliflower broccoli and cabbage but for the past two years I’ve stopped eating them because they caused me so much gas and discomfort and bloating is there anything you can recommend so I can eat those again?
the issue with measuring in cups is you cannot compare two different ingredients because they weigh different amounts. It’s much easier to compare 100 grams of this and that to each other, luv your content Becks
Wow. All the vegetables that I love and crave turn out to be the ones that help with the health issues I tend to have.
They say cauliflower cabbage broccoli are not good for hypothyroid people
Wouldnt it be great if eating veggies made you feel the same way eating sugary, fattening foods does? Salads are not good at reducing stress much. Oh well, I make a big salad, add some mixed nuts and dressing and it is not so bad. Then I eat my main meal and I am not as hungry after working through the massive salad. Salads dont give you that insulin rush, but I feel good eating them bc of the micronutrients and fiber. Vegetables are the key to health along w exercise, vite D, having a productive passion, good sleep, and minimal stress producing situations!
I need to finish up a bag of spring mix. I don’t want to make another salad. This is a great idea!
Another great video. Lots of product not getting to the containers.
Dr Becky could make a meditation or relaxation tape about just vegetables and it would soothe and send me off to a peaceful slumber.
Could be a new niche to open up.
I don’t understand why it can’t be used. Can you explain it again. The salad mix looks amazing. What went wrong?
Fantastic video… concise, accurate and well presented without drama
Great video with lots of really good information. Eating fresh vegetables (the right ones) is something I try to do every day. Thank you, Dr. Becky!
I peel my eggplant, broccoli, and asparagus when needed. This seems to reduce the bitterness.
I have found that veggies hurt my stomach, due to fiber, I have recently gone from keto to keto/carnivore, almost a month on animal products only and my digestive system has improved drastically, no more bloat, no more pain
I don’t like asparagus, just can’t eat it…. I can eat almost anything except asparagus and lobster( saves me money I guess)…LOL… God Bless…
Awesome, thank you. BTW, your husband is a lucky guy for having suck a smart and beautiful lady.
Thank you for pointing out that cruciferous veggies can cause inflammatory issue. Not an RA’s best friend. I alternate spinach and kale in my smoothies in the mornings.
Dr Becky! Still love you and Keith’s videos. Have you guys done any research into the harmful aspects of consuming plants? I’d love to know your thoughts on this. You also mention lowering cholesterol. Is this really a necessity anymore knowing what we know now about the benefits of cholesterols in our blood and that it’s more about calcification from inflammation of the arterial walls that causes damage. You guys are so great at communicating. I know your followers would appreciate it.
Thanks for another very informative video! I did not know, that radishes are in the cruciferous family. Since adopting a more low carb way of eating I have come to love brussels sprouts. They are always on my shopping list, my son loves them, too.
This is great because I eat less salad in winter…more hot meals with vegetables grazie Mille ciao
Meat, fish and eggs is our natural diet, stop promoting this bullshit, look at all the failing vegans.
I’ve incorporated more veggies in my diet and they have helped me with my digestion. I enjoy hearing your voice. So soothing and calm. Don’t stop making videos.
Collard Greens are my favorite vegetable. The stems are so tasty lightly fried/steamed in butter with black pepper. Do you use your stems? Broccoli and Brussel Spouts have very tasty stems?
I noticed in your into you have a half tray of burlap? If that’s burlap, what were your thoughts on it in testing?
Who else came here after hearing that a rat was found in the salad bag from subway
in the last days I make ” rice” from califlower and the smashed version the taste is amazing good! what I also like scrounged carrots, zucchini and radish
with a potato peeler) you need a pan of oil and fry the “noodles” with salt and pepper a vew minutes fantastic!
Broccoli saved me from my rice addiction. I no longer eat rice just rice it
Great vid! How about a Brussel Sprouts vid, assuming this is harvested near you.
Hey can you guys test the bio straight with a small mesh food grade screen on top of the bio straight and the seeds on top of the screen?
It realize everyone says green peppers are just less ripened yellow, orange or red peppers, but I’ve grown sweet peppers for years and I grow different colors using specific seeds for each color (green, yellow, orange, red and purple). They start and end in pretty much the same color. I’ve also let my green peppers go until they’re starting to wilt and they never change colors. Sometimes you can get seeds that are mixed (like green and yellow) but I’ve never understood this myth that all sweet peppers start as green.
Thank you so much for this informative and helpful video. Hope your week is going well.:)
On harvest day, with the cotyledons being so big, would that cross the threshold of being a micro?
And
What’s with the robot?
Occalates? The older you get the worse these & the other anti nutrients will be in your body…
Carrots/Broccoli/Cauliflower/Red Onion……and (canned) Sardines (in water)…..every day!!…My failures….?….Sweet/tooth (Coffee, Chocolate….)…..and BREAD….I’m a spaniard….BREAD w/everything!
Your husband has a great idea! Veggies in Alfredo sauce. Yum
Would it be a good Idea to get soak salad mix seeds, the small seeds?
Sad to note that most zucchini and yellow squash, I believe, too, are genetically modified.
Dr, Becky, could you give me a brief description of how you prepare your sausage and sauerkraut dinner, please?
Can you steam it like fresh spinach? I got extra left over I don’t want to waste it.
Hi Judi. Can you saute other types of lettuce, such as romaine, for instance?
