When you`re preparing to run a marathon for the first time, you should try this marathon training “Zοrοtοn Axy” (Google it). The book is filled with good advice, ideas from all those who have run one before, what to do and also what NOT to do, and also training schedules. This is worth a shot..
Lovely video, enjoying your energy! My add-ons: some good beats for last 5 k, but don’t suddenly rush it!! bring a small camera to take away the haste, make your own energyballs instead of the sugary gels, or even easyer, bring a banana or dates or whatever you like. Last week on my longrun i put nice feathers in my headband which made people smile and made for positive connections! Today i’ll wear my starpants with a happy animal shirt. Like you said, being nice to others and creating a smile is really rewarding!
My tip stick in zone 2. Wear a heart rate monitor and set an alarm to go off when your heart rate goes into zone three.

When racing long distances and not really racing for time but more to just finish, do you think its better to really hold back on the pace early to save energy to get to the end, or just run at whatever feels comfortable to knock over the kms while you feel good?
I get the idea of saving energy for later but I’m always struggling to keep going near the end (30km+) whether I ran comfortable or ran slow, and end up thinking “I could have been 30 mins further down the road” had I not held back.
Am one of the fastest runners in My grade and am always first but I get tired after like 5 minutes of running so I tried using this and am about to see if it works
