Thank you for sharing this beautiful video with us, my relatives from Kerman are baking a similar cake, but I can’t wait to try your twist of using whole oranges! it looks delicious!
Great recipe and of course, a highly entertaining video! And a little education about Passover! Thanks!
I love your channel! IT AMAZING!!!!!! Can you also add the amount of ingredients we need for the recipie?!
These look so good. Cherry, almond and chocolate is a winning combination
This year at 7 months pregnant I can NOT go crazy with the menu. I’m sticking to Matzah ball soup, Brisket/Salmon with veggies, and israili salad. The rest of the week it’s eggs, roasted veggies or veggies in dip, and baked chicken. There’s a time for fancy and a time for simple –
This was so exciting to watch…my family experienced our first Passover dinner at home this year!
Oh it all looks great and I must try one of these, presently just doing rye crisp and I would like to do a meal like you showed and that cake looks awesome
So far our menu (way behind planning) is going to have…
Brisket and Salmon (for sure)
Veggies (obviously)
Soup
Dessert is usually Matzoh Crack and I will pick some stuff out or the Pesach desserts cookbook to make.
Looks like you’re going to have a good menu this year.
Very informative ☺ I am not Jewish but, I would like to make a seder dinner at least for one night during this Passover, just to experience & because I’m cooking for myself. Would that be ok?
It sucks that I live in Australia and cannot enter the competition. The cake looks so moist though, and so so yummy! Keep up the great work. I look forward to seeing when your channel has millions of subscribers. Keep at it and it will happen.
that all looks so amazing I will have to try that quinoa recipe
I don’t think that combination of tastes is a good one. It is a lot of bitter things.
We bake a whole bunch of potatoes and sweet potatoes at the beginning of the week, and then use them for snacks and lunches. If you don’t usually make a cooked breakfast during the week, this can be a big adjustment to your morning routine, so having things prepped is really helpful. We also eat much more yogurt than usual, especially if Dannon has the flavors (vanilla, coffee and lemon, usually).
Everything looks delicious to me. I esp like your mains…I’m going to need to revisit this video and try some of them. The cake at the end, I think I’d love it too, with the oranges and the cardamom..I keep whole cardamom pods on hand. When you remove the seeds and pound them and add to bread, cake, they impart a flavor that is amazing. I keep grated on hand too, it is wonderful sprinkled over iced coffee. It’s my absolute fave spice.
I hope there are more recipes to come vegetarian is great too!!! Thanks in advance
Also, I completely agree with you that Passover is a great opportunity to up the F&V intake! I’m more or less planning for the Chol HaMoed between the Yom Tovs to just do meat and veg most nights! P.S Those are the hugest lamb shanks I have ever seen!!:-D
lol…it gets worse…we are Lubavitch and its a custom not to eat any processed foods, or foods that you can’t peel! It’s basically beef and chicken, fruits and veggies with peels, and matzah for 8 days. (we are much more lenient with our kids though) But I am looking forward to the detox! Great video! And that cake looks awesome! If that was me all by myself and my kids weren’t around, I would just grab a fork and go for it, skip the plate. 😉
Yum! I never realized these needed so long to bake. Great video talking us through it
I had made some candied almonds that were a total fail and I ground them to almond meal and i made this cake instead! I didnt add any sugar to the cake since the almonds already had some and it was great! It was delicious thank you for sharing will definitely be making this again!!
I love your recipes and your videos. Can’t wait to find out who won the giveaway!
I enjoyed the video very much. But it’s not clear which “spices” go into the soup while it’s simmering.
I don’t care about religious nonsense, I just wanna eat something good lool
I just found your lovely film! You’re very relatable! I keep a kosher home and change over everything for pesach. I’d be interested in your ideas on quick recipes as I can’t cook ahead like in your video. It’s more of a clean break before change over, then after. This is normally on the day of seder so everyone can eat their chometz for breakfast!
Thanks so much and I’ll look forward to seeing more x
very informative once again! your video are a wealth of information!
You just earned a new sub! My mom is gluten free and I’m always looking for new recipes that look good since most gluten free things are dry. I’m so excited to try this out on her!
Adding rose water and/or cardamom to the cake doesn’t make it Persian!!
“…it just gets worse and worse” Haha! Definitely grateful we follow the Sephardi custom and still eat kitniyot!
Those little roasted peppers were the best ever! Must have been an especially good batch.
For those who like something sweet for Passover I make a lemon swirled honey cheesecake with pistachio crust. (Dairy). It’s so satisfying but a little long to make and definitely need to be done the day before you plan to eat it. I liked the idea of making that chicken and freeze it so you can eat it for Passover week, I think I’ll do that next year
Great Job! I’ll add the orange blossom extract into the cake mixture I guess
Thanks for this good looking gluten free cake! Cute dress too.
Thank you you gave me an opportunity to practice my Yiddish.
I literally LOLed because you said now for dessert and I was like yes that’s what I need and then you said Marion cake looks amazing!!!
