Alright so it’s wheat, but when you let it sit like this, it is actually low-fodmap? How do you know when it turns low-fodmap then? Gosh, all this fodmap info is dazzling on me…
ive been vegan for a year and half now and ive just been pt on to a low fodmap diet and i was freaking out a little as im also vegan but ive found your channel and i truly love it so excited to try this recipie at a girls night soon <3
Be careful of sauces and packaged foods for high Fodmap ingredients and jerusalem artichokes are really high in Fodmaps!!!!
Oh my gosh I love you hehehe. I’m going to make it this weekend.
Now I literally have no more excuses to not start baking bread. It all sounds so scarily simple and straightfoward. I’ll keep you updated on my progress via IG 😉
Is the flour wheat flour? I’ve always loved sourdough bread, but have not had much luck trying baking recipes since starting the low FODMAP diet about 8 weeks ago.
that was a combination of what i eat in a day and a bit of asmr, lol.and it’s always a good idea to eat at the parents house.
Thank you Carrie! I have found your videos to be very helpful and since I started following some of your recipes I have been feeling better. Please accept me in your facebook group!
These recipes look amazing! I can’t wait to make them! Thank you Carrie & Alice & Fred for reminding me about my Polenta Pizza! I’m so grateful for this channel.
So are you off the restriction stage? It looks like huge portions for things that are safe at small amounts.
Also, it would be interesting to know of a brand of ketchup you have without garlic or onion.
You seem really sad and upset. I know the feeling, as we’ve all been there. I hope you have a healthy and happy new year.
New subscriber!! Great video Can’t wait time check out the rest of your videos
Yay love this! Looks Amazing!!! It’s 5am and I want nachos now
just wondering why is the ‘poolish’ stage necessary? could you not just use starter plus flour for the final dough? xx
Henya, have you tried fasting for your IBS issues? I had IBS for 12 years, but not since over 8 years now. Think about trying a 3 day water only fast.
Can you make a video about fitness and bodybuilding on a low fodmap? High protein without soy?
Sorry if you mentioned this already but I didn’t get what flours you used. Are they regular ones?
I do not like gluten free breads. I prefer oat cakes and traditionally made sourdough bread.
Henya as a believer of the FODMAP diet I highly recommend you cut the wheat. I can almost guarantee you will notice a difference. I know it’s hard but think about all the other foods you could eat instead
Interesting but way too complicated for my style. Thumbs Up anyways
YES! girl you are giving me courage to try to reintroduce things into my diet! i can’t have gluten due to other reasons, do you think i could sub gluten free stuff and have it work? also the thumbnail for this video is everything
So Natural what you see is what you get I love the way you make me feel so relaxed watching everything you do with ease. Thanks again for your fast food fix which happens to all of us when we don’t prepare ahead. I’m sharing your channel with so many people your Top of my List x
ketchup and cheese sandwich? interesting. Anyway I still think you’re awesome Henya even if you eat weird shit.
Hi Carrie, I am confused, I thought avocados were high fodmap??? are you saying that 60 grams of avocado it’s safe to eat? Thanks!
Just found your channel. Making sourdough pizza today. Thanks for sharing. PS New subscriber. ^_^
I made this last night and it was delicious. Such a welcome flavor change up, since I’ve been eating most meals with lemon/olive oil or a dash of soy sauce.
Thank you so much for these videos! I recently found out I have IBS and have been trying to find out what in the world to eat that is low FOD MAP:( Your videos are very helpful:)
I’ve heard good things about these kinds of “lids” for a vegan eco friendly alternative to cling film. Silicone Stretch Lids (7 pack, includes EXCLUSIVE XL SIZE), Reusable, Durable and Expandable to Fit Various Sizes and Shapes of Containers. Superior for Keeping Food Fresh, Dishwasher and Freezer Safe https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013QFYFCE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_vajmBbJE5KFRZ
Looks like a great dinner spread! Is your family vegan as well?
There’s a lot of things here that’s not ok on a low fodmap diet:
Like too much blueberries, almond milk are quite high in fodmaps when taking a lot of it, zucchini are just ok when eating like 40 gram of it, green beans are just ok when eating 10 of them, artichokes are NOT low fodmap.
If you can eat a lot of these things, that’s great for you. But for people who are in the try-out part of the low fodmap diet, when they are trying out which food that suits them and what not, than what you ate is not ok for them.
Thank you so much for making this channel. I greatly appreciate the help and It’s so good to know I’m not alone.
Please, what is the hydration boost? I cannot find it anywhere. What is the brand?:-)
I used to have a sourdough for a long time, one I started myself. In the end, I didn’t make enough bread so the base just grew and grew…:P I don’t eat a lot of bread, but maybe I should start a new sourdough now that I’m starting the FODMAP diet, and start experimenting with recipes. My best bread reicpe is a very dark, musty bread made with rye and coarse wheat, but it uses baking soda to rise so I’ll have to figure out how to sourdoughify it.
I have a question how is this low fodmap? The flour you are using is what based that’s not low fodmap?
Hi:) what camera are you using? and I really like your videos I find it really informational, thank you:)
Fun fact I forgot to order spiralina while trying to remake this and accidentally bought maca powder instead of matcha so that’s great
Thanks for this and yes I will give your method which is simpler than what I’ve been doing a go
I like eating bread, ketchup and mayo. It taste delicious. I will try the bread sandwich that you did at the end of the video.
This is dope!! Maybe I can save some money, like you said sourdough can be expensive af (7€/kg)
Do you know how to make a starter? Or I have to take it from someone else? Thanks a lot
I’ve not eaten gluten for 4 years because bread upset my stomach but now I don’t know if it was because of fodmaps. My dietitian recommended I try it again so I’m going to try some sourdough bread this week and see how I get on! I’m so excited because bread is my favourite wish me luck x
I’m sorry to disappoint you but ketchup is considered high FODMAP because of the HFCS:(
Hey! I’m new to your channel and to the low fodmap vegan diet, I just subscribed!:) I have a question about fodmap stacking, im a little confused lol. If i have a low fodmap serving of lentils, can i have another low fodmap serving of rice for example or do i have to half both of the servings for the meal to still be low fodmap? How many low fodmap servings is it okay to combine? Thanks!
I’ve been low FODMAP for nearly a month and a half now. It had helped tremendously, however my symptoms have yet to go away completely and I cannot figure out why. If you have any tips or advice it would be greatly appreciated and helpful!!
I love Hebrew. I bet you can say ”’Scheveningen”. (I”m Dutch lol) kisses! <3
Thank you so much for all the work you put into making this video and doing all the hard work for us! I’ve recently been unable to eat anything because of the damage done to my intestines and colon by a bunch of medical procedures and treatments but you give me hope and excitement for this FODMAP diet I’ve just learned about
Love this ☺️ especially as you’re a fellow Brit & vegan! Stumbled upon this after hearing a talk on here with Jo Stepaniak (the author of Low Fodmap & Vegan). Will try this out ✌️New subscriber xoxo
When you buy tnuva’s products youre basically paying the biggest milk industry in israel.. just so u know.
im vegan as well and i realized that a few months ago lol., so i stopped buying their products.:)
not trying to criticize! ure videos are awesome.
This is SOOOOOOO my type of food. Edamame guacamole is GENIUS! Can we please have FODMAP-afied Indian food next?
How excited were you to have pizza?!? Looking forward to this!
No honey. Your breakfast with proteinpowder, fruit n all this seeds are way to much fiber! Excessive!!! Stop IT! ITS not healthy! At the same time! No! Especcaly with ibs calm down
What is the difference between white flour and brown flour? Is it as simple as white bleach flour and brown wheat flour?
great job, nice looking bread could this be used as pizza dough? or would you recommend using your pizza dough recipe? not sure if there’s much diff. thanks. im very interested in this process now. and it doesn’t seem to difficult which is great!
how many days should I repeat this prosses?..when its going to be bad (the starter) and the (bread)?
Would you maybe do a vegan soup video in the future? Or meals to make in bulk so that I have lunches done for the work week? Thanks!
Came back months after watching to say thank you!! I love this tofu ‘feta’ and make a new batch pretty much every week! <3
Hi! Loved the recipe!:) Do you think it would work with rye flour as well?
Interesting recipe. I’ve randomly been using buckwheat flour in recipes. Works well and is low fodmap. Have u any recipes with it?
Isn’t Banana loaded in fodmap? I have been told to avoid eating it. I guess everyone has a different reactions to it.
This looks so good I may have to be brave and get over my fear of baking. I may have missed it but can you please explain how to make the starter culture? Also on day one when you discard half the starter can it be used in future batches or do you need to get rid of it? Sorry for the questions, as you can tell I really don’t do baking
Henya Mania is still running wild after all this time? I’m, as hip ones say, shook.
Raw vegetables are much harder to digest, so how can raw vegetables have less FODMAP?
Hi Carrie, can you freeze the dough if you don’t want to cook all of the 800g of dough? X
there is a looooooot of sugar in ketchup. thin down tomato paste if you cant go without 😉
Have you tried sourdough baking before? And do you know any good low way clingfilm substitutes?? xx
