Yess It actually works and it’s shitali Bro. Excellent explaination. But you must seat in padmasan position while performing it.
Love from India
is this good for female pop singer dancer after intense concert?
UK: it’s 80 degrees
USA: oh hey it’s 98 and people still wearing hoodies
I wish she had explained this properly for people who are really suffering from migraine headaches.. notice the first girl is not making any sound and she’s doing it wrong therefore… you’re supposed to do it so that it makes a loud sucking noise… you’re supposed to do 9 in a row and then if you feel you haven’t gotten enough relief you can do one or two more sets of nine
Out of the dozens of videos I’ve watched to make me utilize my breath and tongue in a correct manner, THIS is the only one that has really made me understand. Thank you so much <3
will this help cooling down hot and spicy indian curry, lol, just kidding
i was just wondering if this is good for inflammation in the body;
and is there a breathing exercise for warming the body. i have heard stories about yogis sweating while meditating in the ice cold Himalayas. thanks for the video.
Thank you! Do you have any recommendations for books on pranayama?
Wow, I really am surprised how fast this work:). I’m up late cramming for a math test and I was at the point where I was just too stressed out and anxious to think or concentrate properly. This really helped xx
Hey Adriene! Absolutely loved this pranayama technique! Thanks for the great instruction! Can you please do one teaching us how to do Kapalabhati Pranayama? Many thanks in advance!
Thank you so much for the breathing technique. I work in a sweat shop and water just isn’t enough to keep cool. This is helping me lower my body temp and keep calm in all stress.
returning breath to natural state meaning calming heavy breathing down right? so this would work for female pop singers dancers after intense concert or female after intense workout?
I used to do that from time to time when I was a kid. Never knew it was used in Yoga, so that’s pretty cool.:)
thankyou eckhart my body been over heating and I needed this
genetics are no more fixed than the pathways you choose your energy to explore. 😉
happy tongue rolling.
Love this video! So much love love love to you Adriene! Keep doing what you do, you’ve changed my life and I am forever grateful:)
Thank you so much, I found your instructions really clear, your energy beautiful and the whole video very calming. Thank you
I really doubt inability to curl your tongue’s a genetic thing……
I’m not doing this to get cool I’m doing this to make my friends flinch
Thank you so much for this video! I was dreading my first weights session back after a long break and taco breath helped to calm my nerves in the car on the way there!
This looks funny!! And it’s weird! And it really works, too!
I do one of your videos every morning! Yesterday I did this video…I work with kids with Autism and yesterday we went on a field trip. One of my students began having an anxiety attack on a bus full of loud students…I quickly showed them taco tongue and we did it all the way to the museum!!!! Thank you SO much! This was a life saver!
Thanks Adriene, I start to work out and this Breath really help me cool down and balance.
Awesome for ramazan! I was so thirsty and this let me get through!
even with modification, love this breath. I saw my breath going from disjointed to smooth. taco bliss!
I have been practising Boxing,Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do for about 6 years. These Yoga lessons helped me a great deal to heal my body after hard training sessions. Hell,i have to be honest with you,i never thought i’m going to try Yoga. Also after injuring my lower back, hips and knee,i had to forget about my kicking game for a long time. It made me loose my flexibility. I have tried many exercises and nothing has helped me as much as Adriene’s lessons. And i’m talking about beginner stuff only here. I can only imagine how difficult it is to perform more advanced positions. I am not even close!
So i’d like to thank her for sharing. Best regards!
this is too funny, I just learned this at a yoga retreat this weekend, now I see this.
You are the best!!! ☺️ I already follow you, and I searched this because of a book I am reading. This helped so much!!! ☺️
you’re literally THE BEST. love this. THANX it reallllly helps
Please do a more detailed video on how to relax Im new to this and find it difficult to fall into a zone you take for granted x
There is no way I can make my tongue do that LOL! After drooling all over myself, I gave up 😉 Thank you for this:)
These yoga breath videos are some of my favourites, as a vocalist and as someone who suffers from anxiety, I’m so thankful you posted another!
Adriene, your videos have helped me out of my slump… thank you so much for your help… you are so charming! Because of your channel, it has made it easier for me to start living a healthier lifestyle… thank you again!
Oh my god Adriene! The ringgggggggg! Congratulations! Please share your good news with us! Love you!
+Yoga With Adriene, I love this channel so much, and lovedddd this taco breath!:)
Just had a birthday 2 days ago, started it out at 6am, to the sounds of the first rain, and with your “birthday yoga” vid. felt so blessed and amazing afterwards!
Thank you, so so much!
The source of yoga is India and sanatana Hindu dharma.. Just wanted to keep all of you updated.. no matter what names you give..
Anyone else start giggling when Adriene said “let me know what you think of taco breath down below!”? Lol!
Hi Brett! I felt amazing flow in my body and peace. I would like to do in the morning also to see the difference.
I love all your videos!! I did one one on sitali too
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5gut5vtBxM&t=81s
I think it’s super funny the sexual allusions and outright jokes that are made. In this video it was right after saying erect-there was a pause and a goofy expression, followed by “all jokes aside.” Yoga inherently has an aspect of sexuality because it is dealing with the physical body, and I think there is an appropriate lightness and acceptance of this in your videos. Namaste!
I started to see your videos 2 months ago and my live has changed! you have a very good energy! I’m from Venezuela but i live in Paris. thank you!
Dear madam can you please let me know other than sheetali and shetakri pranayam are there any pranayama’s to cool the body?
Terrifically done, Adriene. Love your authenticity, humor and careful guidance of the practice. Teaching a college class, this vid goes out to my students. Keep up this really helpful work.
Thank you for your video. Would you please to make yoga for cough & sinuses? Best regard from Indonesia
I’m going to use this every single day of my life (slight exaggeration, but will probably be very helpful in many situations). Thank you so much, Adriene.
LMAO! I’m sorry. I’m sure there’s validity to this exercise but i couldn’t stop laughing…it just feels like i’m poking out my tongue at someone.
i’m trying to learn the different types of breathing in yoga and it has really expanded my mind.
“It could be on your knees like MOI” Yay Adriene, big “bisous” from France! ❤️
thank you so much, I never comment on anything on youtube but I really needed what you showed me on this video and i really wanted to thank you!:) xoxo
Wow I can’t believe she didn’t say that this is good to get rid of migraine pain and it really works
i love taco breath, totally got the inner freshness going. thank you so much:D
I didn’t know this practice and I find it’s effective. Taco breath. It’s fun to call it like that. The cooling breath is good for body and mind it’s true. I liked very much. Thanks Adriene.
Thank you for this great breathing technique. The breathing is my favourite part of yoga. I love all Adriene’s yoga videos. Many thanks Adriene. From Sunny South Africa!
my partner has rosacea… so she will try this breath… thanks…
hey Adriene, do you think this breath is good for cracked tongues, if you know about got and cold Chinese traditional medicine?
I will likely use this more than I could ever imagine right now. Could change my reactive personality into a calm one. Love your videos!
actually the best breath practise for cooling down is to stop breathing all together
i am new to breathing techniques. this video was great. i love the lightheartedness of it. sometimes when things are too serious they are too intimidating. this was wonderful for me! i will use taco breath:)
The fact that it says Taco Breath in the title has turned me away from this video
Would you recommend a whole food plant-based diet for yogi’s?; cause my yoga improved since I’ve switched to that.
Dear madam can you please let me know other than sheetali and shetakri pranayam are there any pranayama’s to cool the body?
Love how nice you are, your sense of humour. Been following you quite a while, maybe for a year or two now. Thanks so much Adriene, regards from spain
I have already felt comfortable and cool after seeing your beauty❤️
Thank you or this one, I needed it. I need more breath practices:) <3
Are you 12? The smirking at “long” and “erect” was really disappointing. I didn’t play further.
Seems I always find exactly the practice I need when I need it! Love you!
? why curl the tongue? it’s the same oxygen regardless so it don’t make sense
I tried it.. and it works, thanks Adriene.. slowly getting into the beginner’s yoga series
Brilliant Technique!
I found the exhale to be difficult, do you have any tips in relation to lengthening and sustaining a full exhale for whole 5 seconds?
did you just shown your ring:)))? Is it for an occasion?:)
Love the video! This is so relaxing!! Btw where are you shorts from they’re so cute
All I can say is WOW! Every new practice you introduce me to is amazing. Thank you so much for this technique I feel totally relaxed. I will start doing this before bedtime. Have a great Thanksgiving with your beautiful little one, family and friends. Namaste!
Interesting. I remember me and some of my friends doing that with our tongues during our childhood. Of course we were just playing and being (and looking) silly; but we had no idea we were doing something that (with some structure as displayed in this video) has such good benefits.
Good explanation, Dearest Ecstatic Existence Thank you! Your theatricality made me smile…especially on the exhale where you engage your eyes, forehead, and even your eyebrow in an expression of determined anger. Maybe you should do some Theatre acting! Natural talent. One wee note you may be interested in…the great river of London is pronounced “TEMS” and not “THAMES” as you would think from the spelling.
I was scrolling through my playlist of yoga videos that I would like to practice and when I saw the thumbnail of this video I thought “if not now, when?”, so I clicked on the video and wow!!! This is the weirdest practice I’ve ever done, but I really liked it and taco breaths are relaxing!
P.S. I really like your outfit, you look so good in it!
Hey Adriene, thank you so much for all your videos, I just love them so much. Although you are just a young’un would you have anything for menopause, especially hot flashes?? Would love to share with my friends, we are all in that phase right now:) thanks a bunch… xoxo
I love your videos Adriene. I suffer with anxiety and depression and honestly doing yoga only when I watch you! helps me a lot <3 so thank you.
You look like you are going to burst into laughter the entire video. But somehow you didn’t. Super cool Ad.
thank you for this! I was wondering about cooling breaths recently, because it is so hot and humid where I am living right now. I’m glad I found this video.
I was wondering if you could stay in savasana a bit longer in your videos:) I have a hard slowing my breathe and my thoughts, so I was wondering if you could guide us through savasana for 5-10 breathes:) xoxo
Kept looking at this one thinking “what?” Finally decided to give it a go and you know what? I love taco breath! So glad I tried this one! Going to share with everyone I know who needs to chillax! ❤️❤️
can you do yoga to help breathing with asthma? it would really be helpful!
When you were telling yourself to be serious, I was saying, ‘No, Adriene, don’t be serious, that’s why we love you.’ Loving the pranayama series. As a
singer I’ve been playing with my breath a long time, but it’s nice to try some new (to me) techniques. Recovering from a fall on some ice, so pranayama is great.
This is brilliant for anxiety, am currently doing a dry fast for Navrathri Festival too, thank you Adriene! spot on!!!! ❤
1:50.. really trying hard to hold a smile back, just let it out Adriene!
Is this good to do when it’s really hot outside in order to cool down?
What these are the only comments bummer wish there were well some more helpful in-site about similar things or meditation here thanks for the helpful vid man
3:32 Imagine watching only this part of the video without knowing the context
You might want to season that tongue with some smoked paprika and a bit of salt before you swallow it.
