the full body everyday is amazing for general strengh and fitness, i dont know why this isnt more popular in terms of older people looking to get into shape
Train 5 days a week, run PeDs and still reesmebles a bottom twink
thanks!! I love all your workouts.. 10 seconds rest is enough though!
im really surprised he drinks all those crappy drinks but… i appreciate the info man, thank you
im slightly confused abut the “1x” “2x” 3x” 5x”.
Do those imply that in each individual day u make either 1 set or 5 sets of the given individual muscle exercise?
Would make sense in terms of working your body up for 4 days and on the 5th youre going to hit full 5×5 where the routine of exercises probably resets and start off with the core exercises.
Am i getting this right?
I’ve been doing this for a while now. 6 days a week but each day I burn out a different body part, to shock it at least once a week. The next days exercise on that group kinda sucks but it’s been working really well for me.
Trust in Jesus he died for your sins, believe the gospel. Repent!!! If you do sin confess your sins, ask him to help you overcome your sins he will. Obey Jesus live by his teachings be lead by the Holy Spirit the Lord is coming soon you must live by his teachings. The love of God is beyond our understanding God bless;;;
Kettlebell swings with a stretch band!?! You guys are freaking geniuses!!! That was the last workout move that I was missing in order to be able to get a cardio workout with only stretch bands!
They say you grow when you rest. So I’ve added 7 rest days a week. Working out well.
This is a silly point to bring up but I like it that you guys always throw your rubbish away when leaving a restaurant. Shows respect to yourself and the people that work in the restaurant.
If Athlean-x heard “research says” would be so angry
not going to recover and ‘stunt your growth’…… there is ZERO research out there that states resistance training ‘stunts’ growth. If ANYTHING it would increase growth… SMH… physique quiz…. debunked years ago. WTF. people actually buy this BS? All this guy knows is how to grow a youtube channel and how to use TRT.
Great video Jeff. I found a bit of writing I did regarding this topic and came to a similar conclusion. Thought I’d share to give an ‘alternative’ view of the evidence.
Peer-reviewed evidence has shown that full-body high-frequency training (6-times a week) is no more effective than body-split (e.g. push/pull/legs) low-frequency training (3-times a week) in well-resistance trained men when training volumes are similar [5,6]. Additionally, the same finding (no difference) has been demonstrated in untrained individuals completing one vs. five sessions per week with equated training volumes [7]. Adding to this discussion, a meta-analysis investigating training frequency on muscular strength revealed that higher frequency training was more effective than lower frequency, for women, younger individuals, and upper body multi-joint exercises, however, this finding was largely confounded by the higher training volumes completed [8]. When subgroup analysis was performed in volume-equated studies, no significant difference in strength improvement was seen between different training frequencies. This evidence suggests that a similar finding is plausible for that of muscular hypertrophy, as training volume, given that it does not become excessive, is a primary stimulus for muscular growth. However, this remains to be established, and whether these data can be extrapolated to very highly trained athletes is unknown to the author. From a practical perspective, higher training frequencies may provide an opportunity to begin increasing weekly training volume more conveniently. However, proper exercise programming is recommended to avoid excessive increases in exercise volume and/or intensity to reduce the risk of injury and potential underperformance syndrome. On an additional note, the accumulation of fatigue within-session may be partially reduced if completing smaller, yet more full-body training sessions, that allow for the transition between different body regions (e.g. upper/lower) between sets and thus may allow a higher quality of exercise. However, fatigue from a series of full-body sessions interfering with successive sessions needs to be considered and may be mitigated by appropriate periodization and recovery methods.

@daveperotta in n out over rated?? Bro.. 4×4 animal style once a week MANDO.. it’s still #tacogang till I die @howtobeast but that 4×4 AS deserves a lil RESPEKT..
One of the best ways to grow when your body adapts. Muscle growth requires those spikes on advanced level, thou routine needs to be altered slightly more often to not overload em’.
Omg when I saw it is 50 min workout I thought I wouldn’t be able to do it, but finally I finished it! thank you so much for all your routines Heather, I discovered your channel during the lockdown and you 12 week program helped me so much to be more consistent with workouts and to enjoy them! You’re the best
Where are you finding those duffle/tote bags to carry the sand bags with those handles on it?…. do they have a special/specific name please?
Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. I like the less is more approach. Seems a great way to not burn yourself out

Have any beginners tried this program, because it seems really fun but I am a beginner so I want to know if it works.
Jeff, I was wondering what is considered ‘beginner’ and ‘advanced’ as it relates to this topic. Years of lifting? Certain weight achievements for the big 5? Or it is something you just have to figure out on your own?
Thanks!
In real life people hit all body parts when they do work in general. A lumberjack will hit arms, back, legs, etc. A farmer also, etc. And they will gets stronger and more muscular with time. Now some days might focus on one body part over another, but not solely and isolated.
This is part of the story of Milo of Croton who lifted a new born calf everyday until it was grown. It was full body and incremental.
I like to hit everything in one go, squeezing out every last rep to activate the gainers, but I also think its important to listen to your body, if your aching and sore then you need to rest whatever is sore but if you’ve recovered well then do another workout the following day.
I’m up to 6 days a week just bc it puts me in a good mood before work.
So how do you do this with 2 kids, a marriage and a fulltime job?
I imagine having the sound effects of an NBA JAM arcade blaring in the background is good motivation for a workout
This all sounds good but I don’t have time/energy to go to the gym 5 times a day.
Thanks for watching bros! Here’s the link to take my FREE physique quiz (and find the best program for you): http://beastquiz.com
Whats the criteria to be an “experienced lifter”? I’m definitely not one but I’m curious at what point it would be reasonable to go from 3 full body days to 5.
Jeff, I thought you recommended the push pull legs split. Make up your mind, what’s better?
You sneaky you…leaving the hard total body workout to the final days of the challenge. I definitely worked everything today…abs, glutes, legs and even arms. I’m feeling
Lol steroids are the only way to maintain this as this YouTuber clearly is taking. If you are doing 5x a week full body you’re overdoing it
Your classes are the best. You saved my quarantine here in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Thank you!!
What about push/pull together and next day is only legs? I find my body is so tired after doing legs that having to do pull up session after feels like a torture.
The band pull aparts ( 2:10) is excellent for the Rhomboids. This exercise will assist the chest. This was an exercise I had to perform due to a sore front shoulder and overworked chest muscles.
I did a 3 day a week program and it seemed to work really well for about 6-8 weeks, then I entered a push pull legs program
As a Christian I consider under the law of Moses the Israelites were to work 6 days and rest the seventh.
My dad had big biscep and triceps and I don’t think he lifted a weight in his life. Just 5 to 6 days a week labour. Building /joinery/carpentry. And come home and drink a pint of milk and a plate of food/meat.
Maybe the heaviest thing he lifted was a full wheelbarrow. Interesting to think about
Just admit your on steroids! Who the hell can take 5 full body workouts a week!?
For everyone saying 5x FB is too much idk man. Full body is what I did for four years in high school, Mind you I had time to sleep my 8 hours and I weight trained for 45 min during school and did wrestling 6 days a week two of which were tournament days during peak season and 4 practice days consisting of 1 hour warm up, 1 hour weight training and 1 hour of actual wrestling drills. Only had two injuries. One occurred during a match and the other playing soccer. After high school I just swapped wrestling for Muay Thai 3x a week and jujitsu once a week. I currently lift everyday(my two rest days I go in and just lift light and work on proper form, full range of motion, and flexibility.) I simply hit the muscle that are not as sore and if I happen to be sore it’s usually due to my food or lack of sleep. I do a similar routine to his. Usually takes me no more than 45 minutes plus I’ll hop in the sauna for 15-30 minutes to aid my recovery. I do however sleep 7-8 hours and take a nap during lunch(a siesta) instead of eating and it works great.
Love this one, just the right combo of challenge and release. Thank you!
no hate but you’ve been doing this full body thing for 6 months now and i think you may have lost a little size. i don’t see how these could possibly be better than push pull legs
Hi guys, I’m 50yo Male, but suffers from frozen shoulder. Completed physical therapy and now to have complete range of motion was told that the rest is up to me. About 85% range of motion in right shoulder. (impingement) Are there any other shoulder work outside that I can do to strengthen and stretch those small muscle muscles attached to the shoulder and chest? Just found you guys and compared to the others, your videos “ARE INCREDIBLE “!! WAS 240LBS A FEW MONTHS AGO,BUT BECAUSE OF MY TYPE OF JOB, ITS EXTREMELY HARD TO GET TO THE GYM. WEIGHT LOSS IS DUE MOSTLY ACCREDITED TO DIET CHANGE!!
Full body x 5 per week is for the people under steroids, stop telling people how to train when you are under over powered cheats.
Hard but doable. I liked the length of the workout and no repeats!
I’d say I’m probably still a newbie. What I have discovered (I’m a T1 diabetic) is that squats have a significant impact on my blood glucose. 3 days of squats per week reduced my nasal insulin need by about 50%, at least when paired with weekend hiking. So, I’m starting to explore that and also see how much deadlifting impacts it.
Heather I think I have a love/hate relationship with you! I love love love the way I feel after doing ANY of your workouts but I hate ( and frankly want to sob my heart out) when I have to actually do them. Lol. Some of these make my legs scream STOP HEATHER…. plllllleeeeeease STOP! But I’m happy to say that I’ve gotten better and can now finish most of your workouts without even pausing once.
Seriously, thank you for the amazing videos and for not talking throughout your videos. It makes it so much easier not to hear incessant chatter.
I’ve done so many of your workouts and now can’t follow anyone else without comparing them to you.
Thank you lady!
Imma do this after I finish my upper/lower/upper/lower/upper/lower/off split. I’m addicted to my current split and have been under trained for a year plus i hate long workouts with junk volume, so this fits my schedule very well.
You are truly the best ever and I can’t thank you enough. Your videos are changing my LIFE!!
Thank you for all you do and I hope to keep seeing you! Best wishes for you!!!
Your full body split isn’t 2 on 1 off, also your squatting 2 days in a row and then not doing it for a week.
Beginner gain no benefit from more than one workouts per week?? I thought the usual recommended frequency for beginner is 3 times per week due to not needing long time to recover
I like the upper twice lower twice full once
Monupper
Tuelower
Wedupper
Thur-lower
Frirest
Satfull
Sun-rest
Would you consider a person that’s had years of previous lifting experience and growth in the past, but hasn’t been to the gym consistently over the last few years and just recently started lifting again consistently a beginner?
Thank you so much for this workout. I’m following you from Brazil.
I defiantly prefer full body over targeted these days gains aside it really just feels like I’m being kinder to my body overall and it doesn’t impede my cardio as much either, rather than blasting a zone everyday you can spread out the effort, so to speak; I defiantly feel more tuned into my body too, like each muscle is supporting a greater system great video
I do, and have done for decades, daily-DAILY-as in 7 a week, full body workouts. Nothing wrong with it.
This would be a great split for quarantine ill definitely give it a try
He does not mention that doing a full body 6 days a week is also good if you are trying to lose body fat and get INTO shape. I did it a few years ago and the results were great. I also used lower weights and higher reps as to not max out any muscle group or overwork my joints.
Why can’t you do upper body then the next day lower body and keep doing that no rest days
I came back to this video because of the gyms opening up. 1 Hour limit time to give this a shot.
Are we just going to ignore that gym bro jeff has air pods in and wireless headphones over his neck???
This is actually pretty intelligent… and just the fact that you wouldn’t have to, say, go for a third or fourth exercise (especially for legs) and instead focus only on two exercises is amazing. Everyone that trains for hypertrophy knows how painful leg day is. This is likely one of the smartest training methods.
Amazing!! Currently 23 weeks preggo and your no repeat hiit circuits are energizing me and helping me maintain a healthy pregnancy. Baby girl will give a few kicks and jabs along with me. Thank you!!
Working on getting a gym membership, kind of hard since im 15 and can’t drive myself so its a long road
How about a day for each body part. Chest Monday Arms Tuesday Back Thursday Shoulders Friday Legs Sunday. Again days can differ but you get the point. Bodybuilding style training.
Just bought Jeff’s High Frequency Program and ran Block 1, Day 1. I’ll try to journal/chronicle my journey through the program but thought I’d offer those interested in trying the program some (very) early insights. (1) The program is incredibly thoughtful, even breaking down the distribution of movements by specific muscle groups impacted. (2) There is a surprisingly (almost joyful) balance of push and pull, recognizing that a lot of the front facing compound movements affect multiple groups (chest will inevitably hit tris and shoulders), putting more focus on the back where it’s needed. (3) It’s insanely easy to follow. (4) Unlike the “bro split” I’ve followed off and on with mixed results for years, while I got a great pump in each muscle group, I didn’t leave so smashed that I fell asleep in my car (which has sadly happened many times in the past).
Criticisms/critiques/cautions/notes of the program: Damn you Jeff. Why couldn’t this be easier. Something like: Monday, eat ice cream. Tuesday, nap under a tree while dreaming of post-covid days. Wednesday, consider opening a coffee shop before realizing you’re lazy and go back to your spot under the tree. Thursday, 3 rounds of Friends reruns. Something like that?
Anyhoodle. I’ll try to video journal this damn thing.
Chest triceps shoulders one day then biceps back the other day and repeat forever
Nice piece Jeff. Im 52 and Im thinking of changing from an upper/lower 4 day split to a similar one to this post. Instead of 5 days I will do 4 days Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri full body and keep the total volume to 10-15 sets.
I lift 6 days/wk and I hit each muscle 2/wk and it’s always worked for me
I love high frequency training. Ever since I began to do Bench, squat and deadlift x5 times a week in sets of 3, all my lifts have gone up and they keep going up every week or two. Ive also gotten “thicker muscles” and my weight has gone up several KG.
I do 1 light week at 50-70%
1 moderate week at 60-80%
and a heavy week at 70-90%
So far this seems to work fine, but I’m already feeling that my light week is too light now and I have to increase either volume or intensity
3 sets of 5 reps doesnt seem to be enough anymore, even though I do all the big lifts every day.
on 3rd week at 5th and last workout I try new max for each lift and calulate the weights for the next 3 weeks based on those results, if I improve upon my lifts, otherwise I repeat the same weights, sets and reps as before.
If anyone got any ideas on how to improve this program for even better results, I’d love the suggestions.
How much does your muscle protein synthesis per time change when you haven’t worked out in a while?
I’ve been doing exercises at home due to quarantine but nothing like the gym.
With all the gains I’ve lost, should I start like a beginner again?
This no repeat video made me sweat like crazy! like that you don’t go through the moves too quickly because it forces you to use your core. Thanks for all your amazing workouts:)
Hello. Looking for an anchored resistance band workout that is broken up over several days emphasizing a different muscle group each day so that by the end of the week, the entire body is worked over. PLEASE HELP!!
Great video, I just started working out with a sandbag. I’m older and have a few injuries. This is the first sandbag workout I’ve seen that doesn’t include something high-impact.
Idk bro, Your ass came off the bench almost every rep. looking big though
Realistically, for me, this requires too much tracking and forethought to be a split i would like to try. But i am on board with the science 100%
Great stuff. I’ve just purchased a sandbag, so definitely going to be following this! Also man, you look a bit like Vasyl Lomachenko.:)
Yea Bands are best thing ever. Because its simple to use and you can do anything you want with them. I got my at trainhome shop (check on google) they are awesome.
the 5x a week can the same workout run into the next day like your sunday runs in to your monday
Just saying, in case you guys want to get this bands for workout, I just bought it from my friend’s website (Athletewish) and got it 4 days ago, he also gave me discount code “FRIEND5” for me, idk if that’s work for you too, haha
These are one of the best Resistance Bands out there https://amzn.to/2KRzG9e
Can u change it up if you don’t go to a gym? I have my own gym to were i can do everything on this list but leg press. How long have you been on a full body work out? Thanks for your help & support
tried a lot of home workouts and i can say Heather’s have the most comfortable and amazing set of workouts. Looking forward to more workouts with you
Potresti linkare qualche elastico da Amazon, buono e resistente che consiglieresti?
Grazie e sempre #kingLarosa
Great video I’m 85 years old and haven’t worked with bands in about a year. I’m going to start with this but not overdue each exercise and rest 90 seconds between and add my hip exercises at the end Thanks
OMG,,,, OMG,,,,, 3:52 He’s wearing women panties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy new year everyone!! So I’ve been tweaking and refining my full body program over the last 6 months and it’s finally ready to go. You can check it out over on my website http://jeffnippard.com if you’re looking to try out something new! I’ve also got 5 Full Body Science Applied videos on the way in case you want to get a taste for what the workouts look like so stay tuned for those over the next month or two! Hope you all had a great holiday and let’s get 2020 off to a great start. Peace!
So i am a little confused here (these will be most likely dumb questions but here goes): 1. Is the whole description of the video one full workout for one training day (if so will you make a video for other days too)
2. What are those 3A 3B 3C supposed to mean?
How would this work for someone in a wheelchair??? Just a question I had
I would start with 2 times a week for beginner and add more days over time.
use resistance band set its fcking awesome get one for urself you will love it i got my from trainhome.shop get it there or somewhere alse trust me you will love it
For anyone asking where they can buy the resistance band http://www.relastics.com/products/relastics-bands i got mine here and it is really good
Thank you for the helpful tips and demonstration. Just ordered my bands, until my gym opens up again….. Plus Sal’s a hottie so I guess thanks for that too
If you find it hard to recover does anyone reckon doing a full body workout once a week could give give gradual gains?
Obi Vicent wetin dey happen to your bodi.
You dey look like hulk
Hi thank for the video. Just i have some questions if u have time.
Only the squat supersets with elevated split right?
Dropset (10×10) means perform 10 reps scale the weight down and perform another 10, rest after that.
You choice 3 exercices where it is possible to use dropsets. It just not clear for me:
Front squat 3 sets and 1 dropsets ok?
Barbell oh press 2 sets and 8 dropsets Oo?
DB BICEP CURLS BICEPS 2 sets and 8 dropsets till failure also Oo?
iam not a natif speaker sorry i just want to be sure to understand that point.
Excellent thanks guys. Clear, concise and not too long as some are. Also, will be a big help during self isolation. Subscribed!
1:18 chest press
1:50 rows
2:15 pull aparts
3:08 bicep curls
3:30 tricep ext
4:03 hammys/glutes
I did this with real sandbags that are 70 lbs for blocking water/traction in the back of a truck and ripped sand all over my basement. Thanks
funny what u mean when saying “fullbody” = 50%. Good exercises, i dont criticize them, but thats far away from a fullbodyWorkout
Just got myself a set of bands a month ago and I love them. Thanks for this simple right to the point video!!
So you do around two sets per each body part with full body??
As a personal challenge, I’m taking 122 days and only using bands (and a little heavy bag work for cardio) in my workouts to see what kind of transformation I can make happen. I need to lose fat while building a little and mainly toning up. I’ll be using these moves. Glad I found the video.
I don’t have the bars at home so I ordered a door anchor. Would i be able to do all these workouts with a door anchor and would it be safe?
I Googled “resistance band exercises” and found this video. Well I tried it and added decline situps to the rotation. I was nauseous by the third set… I like it, and have subscribed to the channel. Thanks for shsring!
Any website where I can purchase a good quality pull-up bar and some good resistance bands? Thx
i do the deadlift, but feel none of it in my glutes, even tho im squeezing as much as i can, i really only feel it in my lower back and my hamstrings
I will be using these tips like yesterday..Thanks much! Also, if you doubt bands don’t. I am getting mad compliments from my band workouts. They work if you put forth the effort.
Hello good video! Could you do a full body routine please? Thanks!
For legs: single leg lunges, pistols and sissy squats. Bands are great for when you are travelling or want a quick and easy warmup morning workout. But not just one, get a range of thicknesses. Handy to have.
Another “Ultimate Full Body Workout” minus legs video. Great.
If you like this one, they’ve also got a great dumbbell full-body workout. It’s also simple and accessible. It’s fairly fast, it’s simple, and I’m seeing some gains right away (I’m slim and wasn’t lifting anything before so it was easy to see the difference). I also add in the farmer’s walk at the end for fun because I love that one. If I get bored of the routine of the dumbbell workout I’m going to switch to this band workout for variety. Thanks Mind Pump
Thanks guys. I’m new to working out with Bands and I appreciate that you’ve actually put together a nice little routine as opposed to a bunch of scattered exercises. I look forward to seeing your other videos.
Going to purchase this program and give it a go. Seems like a fun program.
The problem with this video is that it is not comprehensive. Picking up one or two exercises from a whole group of muacles won’t take us anywhere. Better would have been to take up all the exercises for a single group of muacles chest or back or shoulder….. anything.
I did the 2 week bridge program and instantly jumped on the full body one. I just finished my first week of this program. So far so good. I feel great; a little soreness but nothing too major.
After a long time doing a repetitive upper/lower split, this has given me new-found motivation. There are some exercises that I’ve never done before, or at least haven’t done as often and as a result, I’m already seeing some body recomposition. I feel strong.
Awesome program.
Great workouts…thanks! What’s the name of the bands….? I didn’t see the link at the end of your video! Thanks!
How much does it cost to filled these bags with sand or pepples or whatever how much money does it cost to filled these bags of sand?
Top andre sempre il numero 1……. domanda umile ma tu in vacanza t alleni sempre o fai circuiti metabolici? Grazie
Thank u from Vietnam
Make more video like this. I reallly love it!
The problem is that 90% of people won’t have a good anchor point strong enough to handle adequate resistance.
Ah vedo che anche te guardi gli ultimi video di NCS per musica
Dude I love your videos and you’re such an inspirational guy! Also YES! I would love to see a bicep video!

hope super intensity workout is coming soon (this workout is too long)
faresti 1 video al giorno per 1 settimana di 5 minuti dove fai vedere il tuo allenamento giorno per giorno grazie
Alright my man, Im going to try it for 30 days! Im 54 years old, 6ft, 185lbs and am in good shape but havent been shredded for 2 years. I will let you know how it wotked for me.
Grandeee…. dici il tuo segreto… duri allenamenti e alimentazione vero?? Immaginavo..
King Larosa, who went so far until becoming a Legend Supreme!!!
Full body high frequency with lower volume is the best because you spark muscle proteine synthesys(aka muscle growd) for 24/7. If you are not on gear you only grow for 24/48 hours after a session. So all this split routine bullcrap is working well for drug users because drugs spark muscle growd for over a week but for naturals we need the frequency.
Hope you enjoy the videoooo… and as always full workout is in the Description Box! Enjoy!! #BREAKTHEMOULD
Are you supposed to do all these workouts in the same session/day? Or is each “workout” done on different days? Never been sure on this
I am training for last 20 years. I tried 1 muscle a day for years, then full body 6 days a week and now i train 3 body parts on one day and 3 on day two so i train each muscle 3 times a week with sunday as off day.. And i feel it’s the best combination as 1 muscle a day was showing no muscle gain after years of training but training every muscle each day was too much for my body as after 4 days last 2 days i could hardly lift anything bcoz of fatigue. So i train a muscle every alternate day so each muscle gets trained 3 times weekly.. And mostly i do 6 sets for big muscles with 3 different exercises and 4 sets of 2 exercises for small muscles. And i think it is the best combination i have found after years of training..
I really liked this combination of workouts. You were right that it was going to be killer but it was also worth the sweat. This has been challenging and fun. Looking forward to stretching and recovering tomorrow.
Why only one exersice for each body part and how many times we need to do this training in 1 week thanks:)
Great ideas… especially the Romanian deadlift at 4:00. Thanks!
This is great for cardio day. I added more jumping moves like burpees inchworm jumps pop squats from your other video. 40/20 nd a lot of floor work wasn’t raising my HR so after the 5th move of floor work I added some of your jumping moves. That took me to HR 167 and over 300 calories with 177 BPM. These are comments for me not criticizing. I plan my workouts just like my meals. Thanks Heather
It’s not long Obi. It’s hard just the way it’s supposed to be.
9:23 Did he just toss his sunglasses on the ground? Hopefully that was grass. lol
Hey I live in Japan. If you need anything you can HMU. I’m in the north at MIsawa AB.
Everything was great… exercises, your comments, your physic etc…
Except one thing… Your background music was somewhat annoying… When you stop talking, it get so loud that it hurts the ears…
If you get it little softer would just perfect.
Personally, I am not a fan of high frequency trading. It definitely favors big corporations, and I don’t think this video can convince me otherwise.
Is this entire workout one sessions workout? Or does he do ” workout 1″” workout 2″ ext as individual sessions?
Everyone just inventing different gimmick these days but ok I shall try this one too…
Supersetting front squats with bulgarian splits? Lmfao, is this a joke? Also, why make the pushups harder with the bands when you dont use a full range of motion and stop 5-10% short of lockout?
I love this one ❤. Sweaty happy mess of a great Monday this will be. Thank you.
fck the workout… tell us about that bike!??. tsup with that thing
How many times you should do this workout during the week? btw great content as always:)
Workout is too short, I tried it yesterday and I finished today lol
thank you so much! I simply love your videos. I like the fact that there is no talking and great music! In this video especiall the cooldown songs are great!
Intensity is NOT how much weight you are using. You are is shape for sure. Not huge. Don’t get how your holding your arms out to the side like your back is so HUGE that they won’t hang by your side. Just find it humorous.
Hello Obi, great video, great advice. Would you recomend doing this 3/4 times a week, or mix it with something else? Thanks
Thanks for the video! I can’t wait to try this out! I can already tell it will be a good workout. A part 2 would be awesome!
Love the videos, I like the variety and style of workouts put together. Gets me motivated to get the work done!
Cringing extremely hard at this white bread white boy trying to “talk black”
Your audio isn’t level.. when you compare your vocals to the tracks it’s about -6db louder and it is annoying for viewer. Just some feed back but great video!
8:06, please next time you see that guy deadlifting, give him advice his going to die before he finishes his set haha
But, but… your a little guy, so, obviously your workout doesn’t work.
Obi, big fan of the channel, and always enjoyed your workouts. Your full body took my training to a new level. Thanks………and I am currently living in Japan (Okinawa),….for almost 20 yrs, IF you ever do make it to Japan, I would be honor to show you around initially or at least show you some of the gyms they offer here, you would be surprised, lol
i’ve done so many different workout videos on youtube but yours is the best! it’s well-paced, the music is bomb and i know the workout is effective bc i feel sore the next day. i had to take two quick breaks but i’m so proud that i finished it! the comment section really motivated me to keep going. thank you so much for providing great workouts!
Everyone else in the gym must be like Who The Fook is THIS GUY… Man like Obi Won
I did not know how to feel about this workout saw 50 minutes but got it done. Thank you so much for these workouts. I have survive the at home workouts and can’t wait for day 7 cause my body needs a good stretching
I love My Hero Aca as well bro! Great vid. Please upload part 2.
Wow. Just Wow. I finished this workout a few minutes ago and I would like to say that I completely feel fresh after such a long tiring day. Thank you Heather you are the best. Lots of hugs and love coming to you.
My home is my gym I’ve got a lot of weights an ting, I do full body workouts every day I’ve only been going for just over a year this time round a know I haven’t been doing it as long as you and I’m not as big as you but I will say ur legs are massive me I try to cycle every day between 49 to 33 miles I find it better than squats anyway bro thanks for the vid and tips ps mans 55 this time round just thought I’d throw that in keep it up blessed
Are them super sets??? I mean 1A+1B; Or you finish all the 1A squats and before you go to the 1B???
Wait. It’s bad to put plates underneath your heals? I thought that was better for squats.
Many thanks fella”s. You have kicked my 61 y/o butt into action..Stay safe, one & all…
my full body warm
up takes 30 min, but my knees thank me the next day.
Hi Obi I dont quite understand your dropset sequence. How many reps or sets in a dropset?
MORE YOU LIFT MORE REST YOU NEED IS A NORMAL EQUATION.
ALL THE REST IS BRO SCIENCE.
AND BTW I TEND TO BELIEVE MORE DORIAN THEN THE GUY WHO TALKED IN THE BEGIN

What Sealed the deal on me subscribing to your channel was the Deku statue.
That’s not enough exercises for the push pull legs. You can incorporate way more. Bulking push pull wins, full body wins for cutting
That deadlifts needs correction. Barbell is too far away from your quads. It should move up touching your quads all the time and you should push with your glutes more and faster instead of using your lower back that much. More healthy and also more stronger as glutes >>> lower back when it comes to strength and power.
Hi, is this one workout or five different workouts on five different days?
I don’t know if I missed it. But how often are you doing this full body training?
I have a home gym dumbbells, barbells, incline bench and power rack. That’s it. It’s great seeing a routine that doesn’t require a lot of subbing out of exercises because I lack cable machines.
I see multiple muscle groups in this. What kind of rest time after? I’m assuming there will be some nice muscle tears after these workouts in need of healing
I created my own 3 times per week full body program and the main thing is you can lift more weights cuz the balance and the frequency of that full body routine is superb!
Awesome variations from resistance band. Ever since I got a resistance band, it has added a great value in my gym & workout plan.
I never get it, why are sandbags always quite light? I’m looking to purchase one for at home, but i mostly see bags under 20 kg
This has got to be my fav no equipment, no repeat HiiT sesh Absolutely loved every minute of the 50 mins
I think I t s very good workout.
but it lasts only 5 minutes. is it right? or do I have to do first circuit=reps&sets. 3 times each set? or is this enough?because it makes me breathe hard:) thanks
Great work out, question where did you get your sandbag? That bag you have looks a lot better than mine. Second my inserts only come in 20 pounds fo you know where to buy lighter inserts for the bag?
Love your shirt!! I can’t wait to go to Japan as well. My brother lives inn Yokohama and I haven’t seen him in years. Hopefully things will be back to somewhat normal by next April
G’day y’all –
I was on a 7 day workout split:
Day 1: back/chest
Day 2: arms, shoulders, abs, legs
Day 3: repeat day 1
Day 4: repeat day 2
…
I’ve noticed after a month I become less sore. Muscle gains were noticeable. It felt like I was overtraining.
After multiple research on internet, I’m giving a crack to this new split:
Day 1: Chest/Back
Day 2: Shoulders/Arms
Day 3: Legs/Abs
Day 4: Cardio. 20 minutes of HIIT
Day 5: Chest/Back. Repeat of day 1.
Day 6: Shoulders/Arms. Repeat of day 2.
Day 7: Legs/Abs. Repeat of day 3.
Any thoughts?
Thanks fellas
I really like this idea though of shorter full body workouts 4 or 5 days.
Does this mean that theoretically you could do only two sets per body part each work out and provided you still reached your weekly volume goal of 10-20 sets per week you would still be optimising muscle growth. In other words, is there no minimum number of sets that must be performed per session in order to optimise hypertrophy so long as they are performed to an rpe of 8 or 9 and the overall weekly volume target is reached?
Before I start this workout, can you (or anyone else) explain what do you mean by 8x till failure?? I’m hoping you mean last set is at least 8 reps til failure.
I wanted to quit at 40 minutes, was really trying to justify how that had been enough but I knew I hadn’t even reached the bottom of my tank. Stuck with it and SO glad I did. Thank you Heather you’ve been such a life saver through this entire shelter in place. <3
Hi Obi, I can’t find the B part of the workout. Can you link it?
I’ve always found the 5 or 6 days full body per week best for making gains. However, I always notice that after about 6 months I start getting injuries and niggles. I think this is something that needs to be thought about more: whether the routine that promotes most muscle growth is actually the one that can be maintained for extended periods of time.
If Monday and Sunday are the same workout, doesn’t that mean that you’d be doing the same routine two days in a row after the Sunday routine?
I fear for your neck in the future as you seem to look down or use head forward posture quite frequently throughout the limited times you are showing yourself working out.
I did my 30 mins run @ the park and completed my day 6 of your challenge. This is one of the toughest ones you have. I love all of your workouts! Thank you for your inspiration.
Just finished! It was definitely killer, but I loved it! Thank you!!
Oh man! That’s probably some of the worst sandbag instruction and technique I’ve seen on YouTube. You’re going to get yourself or worse somebody else hurt. if you guys want to really learn sandbags go to ultimatesandbagtraining.com amd learn from someone who knows. The DVRTsystem is thorough and well designed.
Can I do 3×10-15 reps at each exercise, with 30s of rest between sets and 1 minute between exercises? I’m just a beginner who’s coming back to training after three years stopped (had previously worked out for two years).
Complete six days it was a wonderful sweat session It was fantastic workout keep motivate like this video more and give us challenge
Big fan, love your videos man but there is a bad example here. Sunday squat and then Monday squat again?
6:06 you can develop that flexibility, but the work will be long and boring
Doing this with my husband, it’s been really fantastic Heather since Day 1THANK YOU! It’s challenging, satisfying and we always feel accomplished after each workout. One thing we found a little distracting was the glutes workoutwe would have preferred to just have 3 seconds break to get us ready/positioned for the next step/set. We ended up missing 2-3 seconds of the next set to do the switch. We’ve subscribed to the 12-week workout, looking forward to getting started! Wishing you all the best Heatherstay well!
Awesome. Killer workout. You’re the best. I’m a sweaty mesh after that sweaty sesh!
Just switched from bro split to full body 5 days
Hooooly shit it’s kicking my ass
It’s really a killer.. i’m dying. Thanks heather. I really love love your workout.
Somehow the no repeat go so much faster and easier. THANK YOU
Where can I purchase this band @? What is is medium or heavy
I just did this session again and this has to be one of my favourite ones, thank you
am I the only one who looks for new routines and expects the demonstrators to use “sandbags”? Not “foam-filled-bags” when going through the routines?
can anyone tell me the calories was burned during this workout to know the average i can burn please?
Good video on how to use proper form while exercising with bands.
A killer workout ️♀️ but doable. Thank you and God Bless.
How am I only now discovering you!! LOVE your manner, you are
I LOST 40lbs!!! You ask how? I visited website called NextLevelDiet. I selected only food I like and they provided me with DIET MEAL PLAN, TRAINING PLAN, FITNESS TIPS and HEALTHY RECIPES.
This is obviously a routine for someone on sauce.
Sauce gives you a faster recovery time.
If you are natural this is over training.
I was taking fat loss pills and almost seriously harmed my health. Now I realise that diet is not pills and teas, but structured plan full of nutritionally rich foods. Visit NextLevelDiet and get a real diet, stop taking pills.
It made me feel awesome!!! A really good one:) Congratulations!!!
does this not take ages with having to warm up every body part before you lift?
Heather, thank you so much for uploading quality videos! I see what you do with the music, how it starts becoming less crazy when we are almost done. You put so much effort and love in this, and I just want to thank you ❤️
As a PT, I really appreciate and respect your quality content, your great form, and creativity. I always enjoy your workouts. Thank you for being such a positive role model: )
Amazing! Love the 7 day challenge. Best home workout on YouTube. Thanks Heather.
So many different ways to work out, i think its better to find what works for you an stick with it. Theres tons of ways to skin a cat.
Nice workout! I did almost every excercises for 50s and rested only 10s that was killer!
This is good and all but studies have shown that a frequency of more than 2X has shown no superior benefits in comparison to just 2X
Wowww, I’m sweating to death. Your workouts amazing and straight forward. I have been going to the gym for almost a decade on and off with no much results but, since I’ve subscribed with you, my body is getting leaner with immediate results. I’m so obsessed with your workouts. Thank you so much.
I love all your workouts. Like you’re an inspiration for me. Your workouts are incredible. The feel while doing workouts just makes me not stop it. I really enjoy all your workouts. I really sweat like I am standing in the rain.
Thanks jef..yes I going to do the 5 days a week..work around shoulder injures..I start around 70% s just in back in gym..thanks for videos
At about 1:45 to 2:05 Obi turns into the biggest kid ever….smh…lmao. Its in all of us bro….lmao
Amazing workout! I didn’t know if I’d make it to the end, but I pushed through! Thanks Heather for another great one!
For a single workout, do I complete all the ‘A’ exercises, and then all the ‘ B’ or ‘C’ exercises are for separate workouts?
Tips on not swinging on hanging leg raises? Or just strengthen core more
Gotta say, you made this “quarantine-gym closed” home workouts for me so easy!
Loved every second of this one and loooved the music!
thank you!
Love this! The no repeat just makes a 50 minute workout seem do able, thanks Heather!!
Great video.
You inspired me to do more full body workouts and since I’m doing them the last few months I’ve had pretty good strength gains. Definitely superior to split training for me.
I always avoided diets because I thought I wouldn’t be able to eat pizza or pancakes. Diet plan I got from NextLevelDiet allows me to have cheat meals and still keep my fitness journey on track. If you don’t believe me, visit their site and try it yourself.
Awesome combination of upper, lower, and abs. Just when I thought I was wiped, you changed up the moves and I could keep going. Nice job! Keep the no repeats workouts comingthey keep me too busy to wonder when is this going to end, LOL!
Love your workouts Heather, thank you so much. I also like your play lists, can you share them?
It was very cool! Thank you! I adore your workouts. Without words, just music and exercises
I never been so sore, so tired yet so energetic at the same time your videos are a daily routine now, thank you so much for everything! After tomorrow on to your 12 week program!
When you are on the juice:) you should do full body 5days a week for nice gainz
I think the legs rutine was worse. This one was more en durable, and been doing them every 2 days
Hey I know Stroops has som really good wall mounts and bands https://stroops.com/store/resistance-bands/ would you recommend using them though?
These videos are going to get a loooooottttt of new views with the current pandemic threatening gainz globally!
This is so perfect for an A.D.D. like me. I’m never bored once with your workout!
I wonder. I have been doing calisthenics, with a big daily number of push ups and pull ups, squats…etc. On a daily basis for 4-5 years. I recently strarted wieghtlifting in the gym everyday. I don’t really feel fatigued on the days following my workout (in the muscle groups i worked). Am i in the beginner group?
Visit website called NextLevelDiet and get complete guide for your transformation. I got personalized meal plan for 28 days which contains ONLY food that I have chosen. They provided me with complete DIET PLAN for 30 days with TRAINING PLAN included and I finally started seeing results.
thats was really killer and now i just finish this home workout challenge only the recover stretch and i will be done thank you heather robertson for this no equipment week, just keep going
If you are in your twenties sure. But after 40, I’m not sure.
Never listen to someone who’s trying to sell you something.Full Body is the way to go when your natural, but not 5 times a week, 3 maybe 4 times at the most.
I do a full body routine 5 days a week as a newbie. Its really simple too, just 9 moves, 2 sets each. Bicep curl, overhead press, bent over row, pushup, calf raise, goblet squat, crunches, leg lifts and reverse wrist curls. Only takes like half an hour and I only need 15lb dumbbells, 20lb dumbbells and a 40lb kettle bell.
Just wanted to know how long these bands last. I hear the life span of these bands is 3 years max. Can anyone confirm please. Thanks. By the way, I’m talking about bands in general and not the ones used for these demonstrations.
how you think working out 5-6 a week and mostly twice a day full body w?
most of things you speak makes scence, but you have an overhead press and triceps on monday and bench press next day, thats not optimal for increasing bench, caus bench includes triceps and shoulders and if they are not fully recovered bench will suffer
Just found your channel, Brother! I run my clients on full body, and their gains have been steady and consistent. Thanks for repping the more old school method.
you built your figure only with the help of these resistance bands?
00:40 I’ve gone to gyms for over 40 years and this is the first time I have seen a video game in a gym.
thanks gentlemen! found this due to the Corvid but definitely useful down the road and will be incorporated into my routine when the gym is back in action. again, good stuff, thx
What kind of drone you use it’s dope and do you have a sponsor for them
loved it so much and i love when there’s no repeat. thanx a lot
With the higher frequency in terms of powerlifting, as long as you’re not overtaxing you’re CNS, I think it could be beneficial in terms of practicing the movement pattern more often.
Yes, if you are on steroids then you can train full body 5x per week.
You got me bro, I’m all in….. from down here in Australia. How many’s sets x reps
It seems like you only considered legs as a whole, with a focus on quads. Do you also include hamstrings in this routine? And calves 1x / week?
I’ve lifted off and on for 21yrs…. what has worked best for me is 3 days on, one day off
What is the best beginner split?
Best beginner program? As Alpha Destiny recommends 3x full body per week in his Novice program.
Do you really do the same workouts sunday then again on monday?
I workout my entire body (for the most part) every time I workout. I found that to be the most effective. I probably gain 50 pounds per cycle and keep 40 of it (losing the water weight). Vs my old style workout where I’d gain only 35 and keep 25-30 of it.
It is not a full body but a weirdo split. Don’t saying it is not effective. Only saying it is not a full body workout!!
Absolutely right.. Indian wrestler do full body workout everyday and thay are super strong with massive gain…
I suppose it’s like getting a sun tan. Slow and steady is better than get burnt twice a week. However I still think it still adds up to the volume of working sets in a week and why would you piss about doing this which would be a nightmare for working out decent Meso cycles. Danger in over and under-training; you’ll either be sore and thinking I shouldn’t be training or fine and thinking did I train hard enough yesterday. But then if you want to sell programmes you need a new angle.
“dont know why they call it mecca, doesnt seem very religious here.”
that’s where you’re wrong partner. you are in the temple of iron, offering sacrifices daily to the God of Swol, so that he may bestow some gains upon you and help you answer the riddle of steel.
Bro, just started out 2020 with this 5x day a week full body routine, let me tell this workout scheme is the bomb. The two things I love about it is that it’s the most fun out of all the routines I have done, and number 2, while overall volume didn’t go up by much, QUALITY volume increased, I am exciting to see the gains! Oh and third benefit, increased frequency, which I feel was lacking for me in certain areas. Also on TRT, keeping strong!
So this is easy, but my question is how do you do this and not have depleted libido for the first 3 or so months?
What are your thoughts on a 3 day full body routine like Leroy Colbert? 6 sets a body part split up between two exercises per body part 3 days a week. I’ve been doing this for years and have had good results. Still debating switching to 5 days a week full body.
Firas Zahabi talked about something like this on the jre podcast but with pull ups. Very interesting stuff
Hey Obi, I hope all is well. I just wanted to ask which brand stretch bands do you have. I’m looking online for a decent pair. Thanks!!!
Can you make a 2nd full body routine please?? (cable version which you mentioned)
Nice vid David! Is it possible to do this routine monday Tuesday rest Thursday Friday rest rest? This would be crazy I hope you will answer. Peace out Maxi
Is it possible to have the squat on two days/week instead of example leg ext. Or legpress?
Poor front rack mobility can also be due to lack of thoracic extension, or kyphotic posture. As well as tight pecs. And pec minor. Oh and also rotator cuff and there’s major
Yo David, I’m looking for a good three day full body workout that doesn’t include dead lifts. Can you give me a routine or point me in the right direction? Thanks bro
Push pull legs theres definitely muscle over lap. I’m not trying to sound like a hater but. Your back is involved with every big compound movement, squats ohp. Bench. Chest even gets involved with pull ups a little.
This etoro ad on every video on youtube is so annoying. The guy sounds so arrogant
“take my sups” “In and Out for lunch” maybe if you ate better you won’t need sups.
I just saw you like My Hero Academia. at 2:01. I instant liked the video and I will follow you channel.
OBI..THANK GOD IVE FOUND YOU IVE BEEN WORKING OUT FOR 35 YEARS AND HAVE NOT GOT THE GAINS OR THE SORENESS IN THE AREAS I WOULD EXPECT.WATCHING YOU AND REPLICATING YOUR SETS AND FORM HAS MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN 4 WORKOUTS…I CAN NEVER THANK YOU ENUFF FOR SHARING EVERYTHING YOU HAVE LEARNED…YOUR VIDEOS ARE MY OBI BIBLE..STAY WELL
If I am repeating myself I am sorry. This is a great channel. I wish I had access to this kind of knowledge in my 20s. Do you have any new books coming out?
This is an amazing video legit you solved all of my problems
No way i can go hard on all of those lifts in the same day
Anyone notice the routine on sunday and monday is the same? How can that work tho???
So do you preform these as supersets? So exercise 1A followed immediately by exercise 1B?
when i was younger i did three different jobs… i had three kids and went to the gym 2-3 times anyway…. I am now 55 years old and I have five children’s children,,, I go to the gym 2-3 times… nothing much changed when traveling with a wife but much more….
Can I use this 6 exercise to lose weight?? FYI I’m overweight
This is literally the same type of programming I’ve started to apply recently.
So no direct hamstring exercise. Years of this program and your going to suffer a hamstring tear.
Where can i find your 5 days fullbody workouts? Greetings from Finland:)
Ciao andre, farai un video su come aumentare le ripetizioni di pull up/ push ups/ dips?
It’s called “The Meca” bc Arnold and many of the greats have trained there. Kinda lost some cred with that one but other than that, great video and insights…
So you’re saying that when you do shoulder press your triceps don’t take part in it and when the next day you do bench press you front deltoids are resting? Seriously? And by the way not only muscles have to recover but also fascicles, sinews and your CNS especially when you push yourself to the limits, practicing failure training (failure workouts). Dunno if i used that term correctly…
