This give me so much life especially when seeing someone being so happy to see the pups. Like that corgi swimming. 5:22
Thank you so much for helping the dogs❤️This made me cry with happiness because you saved these beautiful and gorgeous dogs❤️They are so adorable ❤️ 1:28
Thank you for your wide ranging review.
I own one similar tracker to the Girafus Pro-Track-Tor, the Marcopolo Tracker. It is waterproof and has a wider range but comes more costly. Also people maybe find in the Girafus Guardian Angel a more economical solution than the Pro-Track-Tor, though it is more heavy.
I am having difficulty seeing this video through my tears, but God bless you and the people who adopted them both! OMG that little Minx is SO stinkin’ CUTE!!! Wish I could have been the one to adopt, but so glad they got the best home EVER! 1:46
Fi dog collar WORST COMPANY EVER!!! Before you order just try to speak with someoneYou cannot. Their chat on the website is a scam. They only will email and it takes 2 days to get a response and even longer if trying to troubleshoot the product. They will not speak with you at all and you have to keep emailing. The product gives you so many notifications you get texted all day. Even when the dog is with you. And it texts every user. Customer service is really poor!!! So before you order try to get someone live and realize that you will not be able to ever chat with anyone or get your money back as they are in control as to when they respond. And they don’t! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
You should really proofread your title before uploading. It’s kinda hard to take this video seriously, when you have tacker, instead of Tracker!!! (lol)
i have the samsung smart tracker that verizon sells. i use it to track my dog. i think it works very well, better that the whistle 3 that it replaced. it cost 25 dollars and about 3 dollars per month to track. much cheaper than the whistle3. you can even add additional trackers for 1 dollar per month. however, it does have one big flaw. occasionally it will disconnect and wont connect again until i put it on the charger and go thru the pairing process again. if it wasn’t for this flaw i would say its the best tracker out there for the price. it tracks and updates really well, i would say its accurate withing 10-20 ft. just hope it doesn’t disconnect when im looking for my dog, i would be very upset. oh yeah, i have to charge it every day because it will not make it through the second day, but to be fair it is in tracking mode often, we live on an acreage. im sure if your dog stays close to home the battery would last much longer.
If whistle is the best these are all junk. I have had countless issues. They keep trying to blame cell tower coverage but I have learned that the very carrier they are using in my area has outstanding coverage. They talked me into purchasing a second device as my warranty eventually ran out while battling customer service. I did and things got worse. I tried telling them that every time their app was due for an update service got more unreliable each time. Nope, its the cell phone towers. Funny thing is, you can see yourself on the app and my location is dead nuts while my dog is blocks away according to the app and all the while I have him on a 4 ft leash. Maybe I should strap my galaxy to my dog.
How about Fi Smart Dog Collar? I heard its’ the best and not even on your list.
getting so frustrated GPS stuff… gonna deconstruct iPhone plug USB in cats output.
I was looking for a list that was progressive. Like a countdown to the best one in your opinion, but the video is still very informative. Thank you for taking the time to make this:)
THOSE ARE big ass collars I need something small and unnoticeable to keep my beloved pet getting stolen from my home,so that I can track the thief down
Which tracker would you recommend for cats that are lost inside a condo or apartment
My dog had a microchip and I wasted $50 thinking I could track him and you can’t
This sucks. Non of these are good choices. One is not even a tracker! And non are Best, due to short battery life. I want my 5 minutes of life back, please.
The happy fur ever after ending made me crythey were adopted TOGETHER BRAVO 2:48
Do the apps for the trackers cost something?. Sorry my English isn’t that good
Hi, great video. The tractive tracker you are reviewing seems to be the old one. I think there is a newer model from Tractive.
i have the samsung smart tracker that verizon sells. i use it to track my dog. i think it works very well, better that the whistle 3 that it replaced. it cost 25 dollars and about 3 dollars per month to track. much cheaper than the whistle3. you can even add additional trackers for 1 dollar per month. however, it does have one big flaw. occasionally it will disconnect and wont connect again until i put it on the charger and go thru the pairing process again. if it wast for this flaw i would say its the best tracker out there for the price. it tracks and updates really well, i would say its accurate withing 10-20 ft. just hope it doesn’t disconnect when im looking for my dog, i would be very upset. oh yeah, i have to charge it every day because it will not make it through the second day, but to be fair it is in tracking mode often, we live on an acreage. im sure if your dog stays close to home the battery would last much longer.
I’m using your referral link because you are the only review I found that is someone actually testing them and not poorly written articles based on the amazon reviews.
hi there have you tried using the pawtracker gps?if not can u do a review of it please i just lost a young kitten that i believe is stolen and it has my wife very depressed he was only 2 months old sigh
I think this is one area of tech where the UK and Europe have better products available. In the UK we have a pretty good range of GPS trackers including a few that are part of the collar itself like PawTrax, Tractive and PetTracer. The ones being reviewed here look huge by comparison.
It might be because in the UK it’s unusual to keep house cats nearly all of them are allowed outside so maybe there’s a bigger market here for these kinds of devices? Hopefully some of these products will break into the US market.
Trackimo 3G Sucks Never buy it. They have horrible Customer Service and the quality of their GPS system is brutal. We bought 8 days ago and the Geo Fence system has given off false alarms several times. Calling into Trackimo has been useless. Emailing Trackimo has been useless. I am sending back to Amazon now. NEVER buy Trackimo. I am buying a Whistle next.
No mention of $1,200.00 telemetry in falconry? Your title says best, not most affordable. Booo
I just want something small and lightweight so I can look on my phone and know where she is. For my own piece of mind.
what if some dirtbag steals your dog? they can just remove the transmitter and toss it…
Ok…but why are most of these designed for dogs? I have a cat. Change your title from pet to dog tracker.
I LOVE that the home owners adopted not only the kitten found in their wall but the other one as well ❤️ 4:21
Great Reviews and very nice products. Thanks for posting these. We really like this collar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6v7FFh5M0KY
Thanks for all this info! Our cat is an outdoor cat by nature and was outside for an unusual 7 hours until 5am today. Since it’s a relatively dense city neighborhood, I figure the Pro-Track-Tor might work well based on your review. Thanks again
My cat won’t keep he’s collar on for me to be able to get any
I’m trying to find a way to integrate the Strava app and FitBit for cat tracking.
THE VERY BEST DEVICE imho is not a Gps, and it is not in this list… it is the radio transmitter called Cat Locator from com-spec.com.
Heavy duty, loooong range, light collar, and super simple: just follow the “Beep beep” of your receiver. Only con.. it is pretty expensive. But i wouldn’t want to rely on cheap electronics. Tried it before and returned the products.
I have been using this device for 4 years now! Old school radio transmission and an antenna! Never failed us. Unfortunately I found no youtube video on that collar, maybe, because the company who manufactures it is mainly producing talky walkies for the Police, so this is just a side activity for them…
I wish it was more popular, because what we want is reliability at all times. And I am pretty sure it will last for decades…
Thank you for review, my cat is missing for 2 days, I don’t know if he died on accident or lock on neighbor’s rooms or garage. planning to buy a tracker now.
Like others have said I really appreciate that you bought and tested them all. So many to lists online haven’t actually tested them and just list the pros and cons from reading the websites. I did want to use your affiliate links since someone mentioned them but they seem American only, maybe get some UK ones set up too? Also just to add on it would be nice to have properly tested out the range claims a bit more, the Girafus one seemed like you just mentioned the companies claim which could be very wrong. It says 500m but it sounds doubtful and I wish someone who had it actually tested it. I think I’m going to go with the Girafus one though, we have 4 pets and have just moved and it’s too expensive to get 4 GPS trackers whereas 4 Girafus ones are £100.
Hi so i saw your review video of all 7 but my issue is my 2 year old male un-neutered cat goes for more than 3 days trips and it always worries me sick. I want to know what you would recommend because I want the tracker to tell me exactly in real time gps like it would tell you when you drive somewhere via google maps shows you line of where to go next kind of thing, does the whistle go one suit my needs? Because now technically he is missing i havent seen him in 4 days i only have a collar on him with my address and number on him…
Hey guys! What’s the most important feature in a cat tracker for you? Do you need a tracker that connects to your smartphone, one that works as well indoors as it does outside, or one with a massive range? Is price your top priority or are you willing to pay anything to keep tabs on your cat? Let us know in the comments!
Just saw in a social media post that Pod trackers are not operating any more since the company went bankrupt. I’m thinking about switching to a “Tractive” device since they offer a free dog/cat GPS device to all Pod customers right now. Here is the link to this offer from Tractive just in case you’re interested as well: @t
What an extraordinary excellent review video. Thank you so much for your help
Tabcat only works up to 60-70 feet… in an open area… Once you add some walls, it s down to 30 feet…
Hi, You forgot to test petTracer, it is available in US but mainly sold in Europe. It is actually the best gps cat collar in the market combining both GPS and Radio search and up to 30day battery. Here: http://www.pettracer.co.uk
Which of these would you recommend for two strictly outdoor barn cats? We have 12 acres of mostly woods, and our cats probably venture onto nearby farms as well. Cell service isn’t very reliable here, so any 3G trackers are probably not gonna work well.
Thanks for the reviews. We used podtracker (GPS + Wifi + bluetooth) with great results for 3 years but they recently went out of business. Our cat hides behind privacy fences so we use GPS to find her general location. Then we use the audible alert on the Tile Pro to find her exact location. Now, we’re looking for a new cat tracker.
I got weenect for my kitty a month ago and that works unbelievably stable.
Thanks for the video! Does anyone know how long the battery life is for the Findster Duo? Let’s say if I press start a walk when I leave for work, would it hold until I come back? The cat would be outside when I’m away. Thanks!
Just wanted to say thanks for the video, answered my questions and pointed me in the right direction as far as how to Track this hide and seek demon of a cat.
Hi, I hope that you can help we with my question: does the whistle go works in canada? Or its just in USA?
I can’t find this information, i did so much research and nobody talks about canada.
If it works in canada, I will buy it for sure, you convice me.
Hope you will reply
VERY good video ❤️
I have a small dog who gets out frequently. I have looked at a number of tracking devices and my frustration is that some of them won’t work in Canada. If you know of a good GPS device with good battery life that works up here in Canada… please let me know
When they said he was dead my heart dropped! im so happy he is still alive 4:28
My cat usually stays within a range about 200 meters around our house. But we have a lot of small houses with different gardens. I didn’t want to buy a very expensive tool at the first time, so I bought the Tapcat Locator. For me and my cat, it works very well. She never goes far away – but if she hides where I cannot see her, it is very helpful.
Then, my neighbour’s cat disappeared. He was found playing with children several hundert meters away, he even crossed a busy street:/ for him a GPS would be better in the end but that is quite expensive. So I just gave her the 2nd Tabcat transmitter and as long as the cat stays in the neighbourhood, I was able to find him within a few minutes, hidden under the bushes or so. Of course I have to walk around until I get the signal, but that is no problem. I find it also more safe as it would be possible to locate the cat inside a garage or another house. I just had to learn how to use the receiver properly, but now I am quite happy with it. It is recommended for people with small budget and a cat that stays in the direct neighbourhood.
thank you for the video. i just bought the new whistle go explorer. Hope you got credit for me clicking your links. take care.
When he said “I think he’s dead” My heart got sad and I cried Then he meowed and I cried harder (happy tears) 3:35
We have a house cat that goes out in a fenced backyard every day. Unfortunately, in spite of our efforts, he has become quite adept at escaping even though we have put in deterrents. we would therefore like a tracker that would do the following:
1. notify us when he leaves our backyard area
2. give us a history track to see where in the fence he escaped from
3. be able to find him once he escapes
Any suggestions on the best tracker for our situation?
Will heavy tree cover inhibit the Whistle GO from connecting with a satellite? Looking to get a tracker for my cat who wanders off for days at a time every now and then. I am concerned that if he’s wandered into a garage (as another user experienced) but wonder if it’d show that he was last outside of said garage. Not sure if the MARCOPOLO would be best or not.
Your video is well thought out, serious, and worth whatever affiliate fee you get if any from the products mentioned. I have a question however, is there a tracker that can access my smart phone with a location feature that is inside only and is crowd sourced like the tile GPS? I also would also require as Much accuracy as possible? I hope this makes sense. I would not be adverse to a monthly fee. My use case, is roaming cats in a neighborhood that could be inside or outside. They could go into the subdivision clubhouse and be in any room and still we could not find them in the 15,000 square-foot multi room facility. Thanks a bunch. Put on your best thinking cap. I would like to do business with you.
“in 2019, this list helped me decide for the GPS tracker scafe.shop/ttbgt2019?Sy hope it helps you out too!”
I love your videos, keep up the good work . Greetings from Portugal
I mean this as constructive criticism: your skin tone together with the lighting makes your face kind of blend in with the colour of the wall, which visually speaking isn’t ideal.
Problem I see with DIY implant is you KNOW that a few people WILL use on their children or senile elderly parent etc….ramifactions of THAT???
I want to get the whistle go for my cat who likes to wander! What kind of collar do you suggest? Or should i do thin strapped harness?? Thanks!
This a very informative video so thanks for your great effort. I’ve looked at many trackers but could never find one that I felt would fit the bill. Speaking of bill since I have several cats I did not want to break the bank either. After watching your video I am going for the Pro-Track-Tor RF tracker as I can use one unit with four different tabs for a reasonable price. None of mine venture too far but I have a large lot and a couple of them can be very naughty and will hide or not come in when called (like today) so this tracker should work great.
The new version of tractive for cats is awesome. I use the one on display for my dog.
Skip this video. There’s audio loss about 1 minute into the video plus there a lacking of important details like where its purchases and the pros and cons
Do you know of an alternative to the whistle go? We live in germany, and they do not offer their service here.:(
I have the whistle3 for one of my cats and I love it. I was looking to purchase one for his brother but it looks like they don’t sell it anymore and only have the whistle go and whistle go explorer. Any idea how similar the whistle go is to the whistle3?
Tell people how when you put a SIM card in the trackers the trackers only work in China.
I bought a tracker bloody useless wasted money.
Why? Cats shouldn’t be outside, unless they’re contained in a catio or wearing a harness and leash which you’re holding.
OMG! What a beautiful story, Thank you to HFP for saving these two little cuties and to the wonderful couple who adopted them both! ❤❤❤ 3:42
You are so awesome to have done this! It was really helpful and I was on the verge of buying one that I’m not quite sure would have been the best fit for our circumstances. We have a 13-year old cat that has spent her entire life in a NYC high-rise but we’ve moved to Hawaii. For the moment, we are in a high-rise apartment but will be moving into a house near a canal and I have great fears about her getting out of the house. Based on your video, I suspect a RF would be best so that I can both find her indoors and outdoors, does that sound accurate? I was hoping to find one that would allow for me to be alerted if she got out and left the house/yard because it’s a big house and we often go on trips and have cat sitters. Can you tell me if the RF devices like the Eureka Technology MARCOPOLO and Girafus Pro-Track-Tor provide an alert if they get out? Again, many thanks!
Hi, Tractive has a different tracker: https://tractive.com/nl/pd/gps-collar-cat?shopCountry=AT&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxfvinoXj5wIVBud3Ch1_aQPcEAQYASABEgKNA_D_BwE
This tracker looks smaller and more comfortable. Do you have any experience with this one?
I like you. Best review of trackers I have seen so far! I am going to use these for my new bike
Thank you for the video, very helpful but I cannot find the Protractor device anywhere on the internet, can anyone please help?
i have just found my cat after 5 days, she was locked in a neighbour’s garage, i want to avoid this happening again. it seems many of these dont work ”indoors’, any advice anyone?
PLEASE….BE WARNED, I ATTACHED A “TILE” LOCATOR TO MY CAT’S COLLAR WITH HIS TAG. WHILE HE WAS PLAYING, SOMEHOW IT FLIPPED UP INTO HIS MOUTH AND THE COLLAR WAS STUCK ON HIS CHIN…..HE WAS CHOKIMG AND PANICING. AT ABOUT 1-1/4″ SQUARE, THE TILE IS THE PERFECT SIZE TO COMPLETELY OBSTRUCT A CAT’S AIRWAY. AS A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL I KNOW WITHOUT DOUBT THAT IF I WASN’T HOME HE WOULD HAVE DIED.
PLEASE ADD A WARNING TO THIS REVIEW VIDEO. I AM CONTACTING THE MANUFACTURER AS WELL.
Have tabcat and find it has about 300ft line of sight, 30ft “through a wall’ range. Foliage can make this anywhere in between. Any chance you have an estimate for Girafus ranges? Considering it as a replacement if it can at least triple minimum detection range through homes.
