2) What if i dont add Vanilla bcoz i dont like it?
3) Can i make these on Foil instead of Parchment paper?
Thanks
These certainly look like the real deal!
Thank you very much and all the best!
I’m making them right now, but a double batch so I can freeze some dough for later
I have these with Strawberry Chia Jam and double whipped cream perfect
Tried these cookies and they were not very good. Too gritty. I read a lot of reviews saying how good they were, so I decided to try them, followed the recipe to a tee, but mine were not good.
Your scones are fantastic. Thanks for this recipe. It was perfect.
I made these just yesterday substituted almond butter w peanut butter instead, added some chopped almonds for an extra crunch and chopped 80% cocoa dark choc! But since i would prefer crispy cookies, i have left the cookie dough overnight in the fridge before baking the next day. and oh my it turned out pretty awesome!! Crispy, crunchy and definitely not super sweet and dare i say, its almost comparable to famous amos cookies! Its perfect! Thanks for the recipe:)
Thank you for this recipe.
My daughter can’t eat flour and this recipe is a blessing.
I’ll be trying these. Never seen a scone eaten that way though!
Thank you for the delicious recipe; I will be making these and subscribing.
I have diabetes and a sensitivity to wheat, these are perfect. I made them as soon as I saw the recipe. They are really good, thank you very much!!! I like the nuttier flavor too.
Dear Grawnya. Please is it possible to translate the measurements in to weight ie ounces or pounds as I can’t figure out cups. Well done for making keto scones. I want to do them tomorrow as I am diabetic. Do you have recipe for cheese scones too. Thank you.
Look lovely. I ve got an electric oven in uk. What temperature should be. Yum
Who has Gluten? Just curious. Energy bars on VAF? Cliff Bar fan like y’all but this health podcast I’m hearing talks about all the sugar and misc ingredients. Looking into making my own. Worth a try.
Great cookies! but I will definitely reduce the sugar. They were a bit sweet for my taste.
Can you freeze the baked cookies?
My dad loves almond cookies and he is vegetarian and lactose intolerant so this recipe is amazing
Question: If I don’t have buttermilk powder and also don’t want to add those extra carbs into the biscuits, can I use okara powder, which is on hand, to substitute buttermilk powder? And how much okara powder should I use to replace it? Thx!:D
Stevia in the powdered form is very different than the safe stevia which is the clear liquid. The powdered stevia is just as harmful as Equal or any of the other carcinogenic sweeteners. Please avoid using powdered stevia. Do your research before you start bringing this ingrediant into your body.
Great recipe I just finished making them this morning how can we make keto cookies crunchy without burning them and at times they’re still not crunchy how can we get a keto cookie to crunch like an old original chocolate chip cookie, thanks in advance be safe
I can tell you are a cook. Used to kneading from your wrists
Yumm!! My Italian roots are screaming thank you for sharing can not wait to share these with my boys. I know they will enjoy s much as I know I’m going to
I’m going to try this but I don’t see how 1/4 t. Can be enough sweetener.
I love almond cookies. Probably because they weren’t overly sweet. I use to stick some in my moms purse to eat again later after the chinese buffet extravaganza. Ahhh, good times
not sure if id get an answer this video is old, but do you think you could sub some or most of the butter for coconut oil? im not so much on low card but just less calories.
I have never gotten anything but the generic fortune cookies. (Probably because where I live). Bummer, those look really delicious.
It’s my second time doing them with my kids
We liked them.
Thank you
These look good does it matter what type of Almond flour do you use? If someone lives in an different country can they just use the almond flour they have available?
What is that paper in your tray? A regular parchment paper or something else?
Can you add oatmeal to it as well? How much would you suggest?
I cook with almond flour some so I will give these a try. They look yummy
Hi Grainne, thanks for your great recipe. I’m just wondering whether you need to add any baking powder please?
Tried this recipe. Turned out awesome without using vanilla extract. Using almond butter was a good idea. I plan to try this with lesser sugar and choc chips next time
Not over my dead body Lisa. YOU deal with you and your mothers demons.
Can this be made Keto? Can you sub out the sugar for a substitute?
The best cookie recipe ever! It was so chewy and soft on the inside. It was so good and I will never make any cookies without almond flour now. Thank you so much I can’t wait to make these again it was too good
Thanks for the recipe! Think I’ll try it today. I live in the USA. I am a bit confused about the oven temp. Would that be 390 here in the States? Thanks Again!
I have a question. Does the brand of almond flour matters? I replaced the buttermilk powder for coconut milk powder and used Greek yogurt. Other than that I followed the process to the T and they were flat and drenched in butter, they looked nothing like your:(. Any suggestions?
Ummm… sorry but… Xylitol is a naturally occurring alcohol found in most plant material, including many fruits and vegetables. It is extracted from birch wood to make medicine. Xylitol is widely used as a sugar substitute and in “sugar-free” chewing gums, mints, and other candies!
And it’s a lot cheaper and convenient
Lard works as a almond butter and or butter replacement,,just add touch more nilla
Absolutely amazing! My family couldn’t believe how delicious the cookies tasted! Thank you
I made this cookie recipe today! I wish I could send you a photo of my results
These cookies are SO. Good. Literally better than regular cookies with gluten. I substitute peanut butter, since almond butter is so expensive in the country we live in, but this is my go-to foolproof cookie recipe now. Thanks!!
Why cant you yanks use proper measurements like pounds/ounces…..grams/kilos…..instead of….. “cups”!!!!! What the fuck is that meant to mean?????
#dumbyanks
What kind of chocolate chips did you use? (Semi sweet, dark chocolate, milk chocolate)
Hi, Your video is very informative and interesting, Thanks for sharing such an informative Videos with us. Keep updating Where Can I Buy Edible Cookie Dough https://worldsbestdough.com/product-category/cookie/
Fresh natural buttermilk is healthier than buttermilk powder.
Omg I’ve been using your website for years now, didn’t realise there was a YouTube channel. Subscribed
Thank you for this recipe. I made the this evening and I fell in love.
Do you think the consistency will be the same if I substitute peanut butter for the almond butter?
Hi..
Are these cookies crispy?
If not please let me know the way to make CRISPY Cookies
FYI: An herbalist told me that the powdered stevia, because it is processed is like using sugar! So I use the liquid stevia instead.
Ok what can I substitute for xanthan gum (gelatin?) and buttermilk powder (milk powder?)
These cookies are consistently delicious!! I highly recommend making them right now.
I just came from your blog and I am loving videos too!! ❤️ Hope you can continue what you love to do. thank you for sharing your passion with us. I can’t wait to make these:D
What can be used instead of xantam gum? And can I use buttermilk instead of b powder?
I just made them and they’re super delicious! And it works with agave syrup as well
Made these and they were delicious. Used coconut sugar and olive oil instead of the stevia and butter respectively.
Tried this recipe but substituted butter with coconut butter and added crunchy peanut butter instead of chocolate chips. It was awesome but clearly the coconut flavour was detectable which some folks may not like.
thanks well explained. someone who has never done baking and never want to try. perfect for me.i m going to supermarket today.
Very good, but I need to know how many carbs/biscuit for motivation?? Have you tried with coconut flour I have heard some people prefer?? Has anyone ever tried that cricket or bug flour what on Earth does that taste like?? It’s so very high in protein….
Please suggest a substitute of stevia? Sugar or honey or what else we can use and what will be measurement?
Thanks, and my mom will thank you too when I make them for her!
I have to try to make them first. But looks easy and promising.
thank you Nadia,,, thanks also for your very efficient and to the point video…blessings
Hi Nadia! Thanks for this recipe. I will be preparing this soon. Also, thank you for the yogurt substitute for buttermilk. A new subscriber!!
Wow. I just found this channel. Now 5.9.2020 where are you? please upload new keto recipe videos I will try this soon! Thanks.
Hi Nadia.
I just made these, followed your instructions to the letter and oh my gosh!!!!..I cannot tell you how much I love them
I seriously cannot understand why anyone would not looking at some of your comments but different strokes for different folks I suppose…
This will be a staple in my home as well, my daughter tasted them and could not stop going on about them. Thank you for this great Keto recipe. Yaybiscuits for breakfast again
I wouldn’t even call those cookie they tasted horrible thank you though they where worth a try
I know it’s been 6 years but do we have to put vanilla?
I just made this recipe and my family loves it!
Thank you this is very quick and easy.
Thank you for being an advocate for healthy and gluten-free baking and cooking. I was inspired by your recipe, but did not have good results in my kitchen. They were too dry and crumbly and not sweet enough. I broke them into crumbs and used them as a quasi-pie crust. Today I started again. I replaced the Stevia with 1/4 C light brown sugar and 1/4 C dark brown sugar (lightly filled, not packed), and about 1/4 C of raw honey, and got excellent results this time. Suprisingly still not real sweet, but yummy nonetheless.
mmmmzzz holy snrf so ultradeliciouzzz i should try this far sure ☕️
Just made these for my dad who is in keto diet (not really tbh hahaha) and it turned out really good! I did change few things, I used some white sugar instead of all brown sugar to help make it crispier, also used peanut butter. I admit its not really keto friendly with all the sugar and chocolate chips i added but dad loved it anyways This will be my go to cookies with almond flour from now on yay thank you so much for the recipe
Mine is much stiffer than yours looks, should I add another egg or just some water?
WOW!! I cannot wait to try these. My boyfriend also loves almond. I am going out today and getting some maple syrup.. I will be baking these tonight. Thanks sooo mcuh for all your recipes! I have tried quite a few of them… all good! I need a recipe for sugar creme pie or custard pie??? I am in the Midwest, Indiana, so you may not have heard of those.. but they are a staple at our Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners… any ideas?? Have a fabulous day! Hi to Shawn:))
Does anyone know or figured out the Nutritional info per cookie? Help.
Note to diabetics and “sweeteners“.
No matter which artificial sweetener you choose, whether it be “natural“ or chemical, you need to test your blood sugar before consuming it, then at one hour and two hour intervals after consuming it, to see what it does to your blood sugar level before you started gobbling it down!
You need a cookie scoop! Btw is that 60% chocolate sweetened with stevia?
What about all dairy is not good for you, you could use dates as a natural sugar SO not so health I’m afraid BUT better than bought at the local supermarket I’m sure.
I can’t wait to try it today I will make it and I will let you know God bless you thank you
I have made your flour scone recipe many times, but would like to start baking with ALMOND FLOUR. I bought it, yes, it’s very costly! I would like your opinion on using 1/2 of each? I don’t have gluten concerns. Thank you .
Is buttermilk powder keto? It says 9 grams carbs and 9 grams of sugar
Best EVER!!!!!……DeeeliSious!!!…. so simple….rich taste….Heaven…….Thank you thank you thank you ❤️❤️❤️
What I did not like is after you put eggs in you did not wash hands you simple put salmonella on your apron. Honey I’m being picky because I grew up with a Chef parent my but would have been on the line for that haha
Umm buttermilk powder has 4g carbs per 8g. For 8 biscuits the powder alone would make this around 6.25g PER biscuit. This isn’t keto at all. No one isn’t going to eat just one damn biscuit a day. I have a recipe thats 2g carbs per biscuit lol
Thanks for the recipe, but your voice and commentary is cringe worthy in ways I can’t describe.
Thank you for the recipe. Just FYI, cage free and grass fed aren’t what they may seem.
https://www.chowhound.com/food-news/190013/what-is-the-difference-between-free-range-cage-free-and-pasture-raised-eggs/
THANK YOU!! This was AMAZING! I cut the recipie in half because I only had 1 cup of almond flour. I also added 1/4 cup of cassava flour because, again its all I had. We added almond slivers too! My 7 and 8 year old boys LOVES them! So I. We like very crunchy cookie so we cooked them for longer (at least twice as long). I took a chance and luckily they didn’t crumble. My 7 year old is gluten and diary free and I am ALWAYS looking for treats for him! It has helped us all eat better. Thank you again. Can’t wait to make a big batch of these soon!
Thank you! Finally a keto cookie that doesn’t need xanthan gum.
My palate never adjusted but all I eat it maple, honey or date sugar, if I do sweetness at all
It’s easy to follow and simple to make
Thank you for sharing
Can the stevia be replaced with raw cane sugar? To produce rebaudioside A commercially, stevia plants are dried and subjected to a water extraction process. This crude extract contains about 50% rebaudioside A. The various glycosides are separated and purified via crystallization techniques, typically using ethanol or methanol as solvent.
I have to try these. I’m kind of nervous about the stevia….you can add more, right? The Spousal Unit has a REAL sweet tooth.
I only managed to get 18 cookies from this batch, and they were small, at 4.2 net carbs. How did you get 40 cookies? LOL But I will say they are very good!!!
Girl, this recipe is perfect, I recently started baking and this was my first attempt at cookies. These ended up so delicious and I’ve been making them ever since. I would highly recommend this recipe to anyone with small children or if you just want an easy recipe for delicious cookies. Thank you so much for this recipe:)
Ahh, I don’t like cup measurements.
What are the grams?
We don’t use cups in Europe.
Hi you should try monk sugar otherwise known as Lakanto sugar looks and taste exactly like sugar some people use ratio 1:1 I am on keto so I just convert about 1/3 of what usual sugar advises for me this is sweet enough 0 calories
Excited to try this recipe! Any suggested alternative if intolerant to butter? Thanks!
Xanthan gum is no good for you. Is there other ingredient to substitute, this recipe?
What about using slivered almonds instead of chocolate cookies? I love almond taste but not crazy about chocolate chips. Thank you for the recipe!
What if you use liquid strabismus how many drops or equal too your powdered
“Palets can get adjusted” is perhaps the most hopeful political (and psychological) lesson we can draw from the twenty-first century thus far.
I’m making your cookies tonight!!! I can’t wait to taste it. I usually make almond butter cookies do looking forward to the almond flour version
These look SO GOOD!! But, isn’t erythritol a natural sweetener as it’s derived from some fruit and natural fermentation processes?
I been looking for a channel like yours. I wanted a channel that cooks American food Keto and Gluten Free but real food. New subscriber here.
Can i replace the butter for coconut, vegetable ir other Kind of oil? I can not eat butter
My cookie dough was a lot softer then yours so I had to add some almond flour. Ultimately it was absolutely delish!!! My best cookies yet!

Do the eggs first then butter. U never know if u get shell or a bad egg.
I have just made these and they are beautiful. Light and fluffy! The best keto biscuit recipe i have found.
?? Splenda and erythritol are both natural as well. I’ve tried all of the above and stevia has always been absolutely nasty-tasting to me. I’ve found the best substitute in a monkfruit/erythritol combo like Lakanto.
Metric system PLEASEEEEE so that people outside of USA can use the recipe.
To reduce the net carbs would 50 gr of buttermilk powder and 50 gr of whey protein powder work without change the taste too much?
Does anyone have the keto macros how much net carbs for one portion?
I have to try it and use dates. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
You make great cookies, i only like Jammie Dodgers, yummy, but your cookies look so nice, BTW, has anybody ever told you that you have a strong resemblance to Elisabeth Shue…i think so, did you notice the lisa in Elisabeth.
Hi could I add a small amount of Xanthan gum to hold them together?
Hamburger buns recipe would be great. Would like less Complicated without the oven or egg whites whipped.
This is amazing i just made this for my kids and they really liked it,thanks for the recipe
I can’t wait to try theses and what’s amazing is I have all the ingredients already! Pre Keto, I would have never had these ingredients in my fridge and I have a wheat allergy so I’m really excited to try. I think this recipe is great for ppl who are fat adapted and do carb up days. Considering a regular biscuit has 25 or more grams of carbs, I definitely think your biscuit recipe is keto friendly. Thanks so much!
Wonderful recipe. Substituted whey protein powder for buttermilk powder. Increased butter to compensate. Biscuits puffed up, looked better than video, tasted just like… biscuits! Thank you Nadia L. You have made living with Keto so much easier.
INGREDIENTS:
80g Cold grated butter
200g almond flour
100g buttermilk powder
4g Xantham gum
4g Baking powder
4g Baking soda
1g sea salt
2 eggs (whites and yolk seperated)
60ml buttermilk/yogurt.
Nadia these are amazingI’ve made them a few times already by following your instructions to the letter and they turn out perfect! I can’t believe how good they taste. Thank you for this great recipe!
Just the look of this type of cookies is a problem in general. They look like a poop.
If they would at least try to shape them with the wet spoon or some cutter, cover them with the cocoa powder or to put cherry on the top, etc. Like this, they really look like little pile of poop. Cannot help it. Don’t mean it as an insult. When I saw chocolate chip cookies my the first time in my life, their look made my stomach sick.
This is the best video I’ve seen on keto biscuits. If I could give you 10 likes, I would!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!
Hi Nadia do you have a written recipe for this buttermilk biscuit recipe please and by any chance can you use the standard measurements for me please! Much appreciate it can’t wait to make these! Great job!
They look really fantastic. I have really missed biscuits; especially during the tomato harvest. Thank you!
Not keto, unless the biscuit is the only carb source for the entire daily intake which is extremely unlikely.
I’ve subscribed to yr Chanel, thank you for your recepie and God bless you,I’m new to keto and I need help, much love from Manchester United!
Thank you Nadia, for wonderful recipe, if I dont have buttermilk powder, can I replace it with liquid butter milk?
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This looks AMAZIIIIIING!!!!!!!!!!
the only flour left at the store was almond flour and i was craving some cookies so u really helped me out thank you!!
Hi dear can i replace the sugar with honey? if this is ok what is the amount?
I just used Cronometer to measure 100g of Buttermilk Powder and it has 49g of carbohydrate.
Buttermilk is not keto.
It’s counter-intuitive, but the most you’re achieving here is making a biscuit that has fewer carbs than the KFC biscuit.
This can be done, but not this way.
Hi,
I do not have buttermilk powder, so how much buttermilk (liquid) can I use as a substitute.
Hi… your video said 1/4 pound butter but your written recipe said 1/4 cup butter (2oz)… but 2 oz is not 1/4 pound haha.. pls confirm as i would like to try this recipe… thank you!
I just made this today Nadia ❤️ Wow, fantastic directions and I followed it to the T and the turn out was absolutely wonderful. This will be my staple. After cooling I tried putting butter and swerve brown sugar….Oh my decadent recipe. Thank you for for being-committed to excellence
I just want to start by saying that I love your videos. I’ve been looking for a perfect biscuit keto friendly recipe that is very close to the traditional flour one. I got very excited when I found your recipe. The only problem is that I can’t use buttermilk powder. I tested your recipe with coconut milk powder and the dough was very sticky and when baked all the butter went to the bottom of the biscuit making them soggy and almost flat:(. What can the buttermilk powder be replaced with?
I made the a couple of days ago and they are awesome!! I didn’t have almond butter so I used sunflower butter and they are so good and chewy. Next time I’ll try it with almond. This recipe is definitely a keeper:)
Can I use 1/4 tsp of liquid stevia in the wet ingredients instead?
Sorry to ask, I’m SURE this is annoying but do you think it will still be good without the dried buttermilk? My husband is allergic to dairy. I was going to substitute butter flavored coconut oil (very cold of course) for the butter but there would be no substitute for the powdered buttermilk. Should I add more of another ingredient if I exclude the milk powder? Thank you for this recipe. I looks DELICIOUS!
Hi, I love your cookies recipe. I was wondering what I can use to replace the St. sweetener? Actually, I am not a sweetener user. Sorry about that
Not trying to be rude here, just a question. How are these keto when there is a ton of carbs in the buttermilk powder? They look absolutely delicious! I’m just concerned about all the carbs in the powder.
I’ve never seen a keto biscuit that actually looked like a biscuit. I hope to try these soon. If everyone who thumbs up, comments and shares, this video might get the recognition it deserves.
