Apologies this is left field for this sub. Thank you for being on the front lines of this and fighting for all of us.
Myself and my colleagues are skilled professionals in IT and administration of all kinds, and want to volunteer our spare time (evenings and weekends mostly) to assisting in any way we can, but during lockdown this would have to be on a remote basis. We will be approaching PPE and ventilator manufacturers also to offer our services.
Before we contact hospitals and care providers (when their time is so valuable), is anyone able to offer advice on any tasks that we may actually be a solution for? E.g. data entry, record keeping, organising information, etc. If there are obvious tasks that may help let me know.
I appreciate there are many hurdles, we haven’t taken an official oath of confidentiality and have no/limited medical knowledge. But we can’t bear to do nothing. If there is nothing to be done in this capacity we will find other ways to help.
