How do you get down without a wall/structure or anyone to help?
I feel like I’m playing GTA in first-person, but without all of the random acts of visceral violence.
Is he on heelys in that first clip? He’s rolling past that human.
They should’ve helped him. Its not funny. He’s injured for Foxs sakes
What’s wrong with a bear walking on 2 legs….I don’t understand people sometimes…
Newark Ave looks a lot different today than yesterday. I really enjoyed walking with you and remembering what it was like in the 60’s and 70”s. Thanks!
Lame camera work.
You could have filmed alot more stuff, you were walking!!
I still can’t believe they closed off part of Newark ave to cars and they tore down the Flynn halfway house!!
Bears are literally evolving right in front of our eyes. That’s crazy!
Jersey City is very impressive! All the new development and water front are very people friendly!
Wait!! Looks like Utopia compared to LA and San Francisco! And Californians give Jersey a bad rap. Nooooo….
Wow, you was walking by my work’s place neighborhood!! Am actually still here!! Greetings✌
I can see some unfortunate dude approaching this bear thinking it’s a man in a suit, and getting mauled.
still havent found out who the jerkoff was who thought he had to shoot this bear..that is one sick fck,..more dangerous then the bear he shot
Well I’m thinking of doing a costume of a creature called a loft Wing from Skyward Sword and I’m going to make a foot moles looking thing around the bottom of the still but I’m wondering will that make it able to where I can actually stop walking?
“Ohhh look hes so cute!
…… thats my face….. PLEASE STOP!!!”
And thus another bear mauling:v
These are wild animals people, not your chihuahua:v
…… NOT A DANGER TO PEOPLE! YOU DUMB FKS! TELL THAT TO THE MAN WHOS WIFE AND DAUGHTER WERE KILLED!
yes, not a danger to people….. at a distance, allowing a bear to get comfortable in city living is only a recipe for disaster.
Dont get the wrong idea i dont want the bear killed, its a beautiful creature to be respected, only kept out of city living to minimize risk.
Man, if I encountered him in the woods I’d have heart failure. That looks so unnatural that it’s downright creepy.
I am a Mama of 6 beautiful Children. 6 days ago my youngest daughter tried taking her life. God has purposes for her here. Prayers please.:'(
I heard this song today, 2 hours before a 16 year old from my community passed away from a car accident. What a powerful song!
I was searching up if there was a bear that looks like a human and the thumbnail kinda disturbs me
That’s no mystery. That’s TJ Cool Breeze, having fun just blowing some people’s minds
I worked at the Optical at Two Guys at Broad and Raymond Blvd in 1975-6. Looks like a big improvement.
Imagine being a kid going in your backyard at night and seeing this thing standing upright staring at you with glowing eyes I would be scarred for life
Bears better become the next advanced species if humans go extinct.
For me it’s not scary just a bit creepy but mostly I feel bad for my boy cuz he suffering
I think after a long time I will unsubscribe. You are barely making a “quiet” videos… Honestly, I liked the previous ones more. I searched for myself if I needed info. Subtitling would have been a better idea..
ABC NEWS, I’m using a still shot of the upright bear in my book. Do I need any other special permission from you guys to do so other than citing your news name, title of the video, along with the youtube link?
Don’t worry guys it’s just one of Merida’s brothers, they ate the pie again
How can any business make any money without a customer able to drive their car to where that business is at.??? I do not think just only foot traffic brings anything to that area, lots of bored people just walking about with no agenda at all, cheap entertainment.
Good God they can’t help every animal that’s hurt just not possible
Well well i sumtime wunder way you talk so much?
Way do you?

Fifty states in the USA, not one person ever crossed their mind to ever see NJ as a paradise, let alone ghetto cities like Newark, Irvington, Paterson. What a complete dump.
does anyone else just watch these videos to see if they see themselves or is it just me?
Thanks a lot. It’s magnificent this great video. You’re the best
It’s been 50 years since I lived there. I can still recognize it
On a second note. When I was a child…everyone spoke English. Glad my beautiful parents had the smarts to move to California
Thank you Thank you. I used to live in JC in the 1960’s. Gone to Dickenson HS. I wished you turned right and gone up Palisade Ave. It was good to see the Lowey’s movie theater. Thanks again.
Thank you very much for your time, this brings back 25 years of fond memories
When I listened to this song at first I just found it so beautiful and then I listened to it deeper and I’ve never really cried much but listening to this honestly think about everything and understand a lot
It’s so beautiful really it’s breathtaking
Nice video. My husband took me to Windows on the World in Sept. 2000. Amazing place. Felt like we were in a small plane looking out their windows onto the city. Pretty scary. Memorable experience. Enjoy Joysey.
i was born there in 1956 on 185 Pavionia Ave and wold shop with my mother and father on Newark Ave……and Journal Sq……so much has changed……
Really how do you walk past Boulevard drinks hot dogs and not even turn the camera to show it? Man the only thing I miss about JC is the food.
I used to live in the Colonnades but thats near the cherry blossom park on the corner of Clifton ave and the I-80. And somewhat near the Broad st train station which takes you to NYC.
It might have been a slight good news that he was shoot because nobody was helping. I am only guessing that because of his front paws he could not hunt. He was probably in pain. I know it does not justify what the guy did but i would like to guess that the bear is in heaven in all fours enjoying himself.
Nice to see you in my former stomping grounds! Downtown JC is totally different from the time I grew up. But it is for the better. Hope you beat the weather back home!
Cool train station at 5:58. Imagine all the cigarette smoke in that hall when they allowed smoking.
Well Kid you hit on the nail right on that my old hang out Nwk.Ave & Jersey ave. there use to be a greasy spoon that I had the best breakfast in downtown and having long talk with this old guy which I don’t remember his name I think it was John & his son name was Michel plus watch them cook up the eggs on the grill it was the best across the street was Blimpie sandwich shop now it up by the court house. I use to live on Montgomery Street Between Grove Street & Barrow Street. When to PS.3 then James J. ferris H.S. after that join the Navy see the world. WOW what a ride. Now semi-retired in South Florida Just living. Thx. for the memories your the best keep it going=)
I don’t understand why NJ wildlife officials did not capture him for the sake of medically rehabilitating him.
I miss it.
I was just there in March, and I already want to go back
So much has changed since I left in 2009. I do love that he passed through Five Corners which is where I grew up.
Jersey city my hometown! Do a walkthrough of Union City next!
Our regular haunt! Two boots (great Pizza), 99 C dream(Chocolates, yummy)OlivaVeges and Fruits(so fresh),and much moreDuring Yoga day,the whole place was full of people doing Yoga, with instructors, guideing correctly!
Yeah Mayor Foulop had parts of Newark Ave cut off so the Yuppies can take over with their dogs and restaurants got rid of other stores that existed along there at one time. That’s what it is all about the New Yorkers are here to stay in these high priced condos, rentals and the little guy is left in the cold. Getting rid of bus lines that poor people depend on to get to work. Easy access to buses and Path Trains for the newcomers. Now you got bicycle lanes, CiTii Bikes anything to destroy parking accessibility. Yes keep showing Newark Ave and Grove Streets, Journal square and soon Westside Ave. There is still homelessness around Jersey city how about showing that! Make you cameras jump up and down for that.
Newark is finally getting some needed TLC from people. Great to see it getting better.
Been out of JC for 17 years, and I don’t recognize any of that. LOL! I see there is still a nail salon on every street, though, so some things don’t change.
By 19:10 I’d have been pretty winded after climbing that grade from the Turnpike crossover up by Dickinson High School…
He died because he was crippled by his injuries. By the time anyone even considered helping he was dead.
Its crazy i was born and raised in NJ and i have never been there
Such a great and walkable city, the way a city should be. If you NEED a car to get around, that’s automatically suburban and a terribly planned place to live. Good job, Jersey City.
I have a video request. Bergenline Avenue in Union City New Jersey. No one‘s ever done one on YouTube, and I would really like to see one. If possible, can it be narrated?
And yes, you do have a future in the pedestrian crossing voice-over field, when you get tired of walking all over the place.
Thanks for showing us jersey city. It was nice video but didn’t like how the drunk guy showed his middle finger at you. Glad you just laughed it off. Don’t give them any attention.
When you were showing the 9/11 memorials I was reminded of how I was off that day. I was watching the Today Show and saw the whole thing unfolding before my eyes. I remember saying this can’t be happening. Those memories are burned into my brain forever.
Was there last weekend.. You can keep it would never move back to that dump…….You get nothing for your buck… Crowded filthy and just smelly….
My mother was killed in a car accident nearly 20 years ago at the young age of 48. We turned her off life support after a week. So hard to let go. If there’s one thing that doesn’t discriminate, it is suffering.
include some Italian Stone Pines, Holly, Oleander, Bamboo, and Succulents so the gray winters are bearable… Nice Renovations!!!
NYC to new jarsi how and distension for miles and kilometres city is very good and clean and blog is very good thanks please tell me thanks
Dude, that talking crosswalk should have never been allowed to go out like that. We can’t hear that shit. Then you factor in all that noise around it, it basically doesn’t help. The ones in New York City are normal, they have those all over the country. It’s just that the city of Hoboken try to get cute with it and hired the wrong voiceover actor. By the way, this is your blind subscriber speaking.
Damn this guy walks and cycles a lot!… Not complaining though whenever you appear on my subscription I am on it.. Sending hola from UK!
I moved from Jersey City in April. I really miss it. Thanks for bringing me back.
Really like black elegant street lamps very clean place buildings look well kept
Palace Drugs’ name makes it sound like it is sketchy as fuck.
Very nice video…beautiful day!..✔ from Chile!..saludos! Thank you!
I love how all the shops really take care of their storefront. There are also a lot of modern buildings mixed in with the old ones, which actually looks so nice. Surprised at how clean the streets are. Not the case in my area
Lost a friend on March 5, 2015 to a drunk driver. Nicest person you could ever meet. We were juniors in high school. She never got to wear her Prom dress.
Right now im staying here at liberty Avenue and its wonderful’ best thing about this place is that you can hear lot of chirpings, sparrows everywhere.
i lost my bsf from a car accident i miss her ik is she was still here she would be by my side no matter what
you sir, are a legend! thank you so much for this! this is exactly the type of content I was looking for. I miss the days I was able to travel without worry for my health…thank you so much
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxAtC-97h4E They are the best
First of all. This bear got some killer walk. Hes str8 striding.
Walked these streets of downtown Newark far too many times. Newark, NJ the place I was born and raised.
Kenneth, I am very happy that you mentioned Frank Sinatra in this Hoboken video. In 1982 I came from California and made my first-ever trip to NYC to see Frank Sinatra and opera star Luciano Pavarotti do a concert together at Radio City Music Hall. I fell in love with NYC so much that I have been there almost 40 times since, and have run the NYC Marathon 24 times. Thanks for recognizing Frank Sinatra in this video! I am coming again from California for the Marathon on November 3.
I came here from a comment section about a fucker i think is still alive due to he changed his name from danny wood to march clovers
wow…brings back so many memories! use to live in Newark for a year in the 90s
I just watched this for the first time. I was enjoying seeing you press the walk button and walking around as normal, and then, you walked past a truck load of corona beer! Bloody hell, just cant get away from it, but I enjoyed the rest of it.
I remember when they had the Learners downtown, old navy, popyeyes. Now we facing the crona virus
Biggup…miss Newark…I’ll go back and visit one-day…not live but visit I lived their for 28 years
I wanna move to Newark after College I’m a high school Junior rn doing 2 years at Valencia College then going up north im currently in Florida

Sad, they must have had impressively bad town planners in the past to demolish the center of town around the station and replace it with vast parking spaces for cars for the office workers in the few skyscrapers. Very strange that these people were so misguided.
Why didn’t they do a petition to get him caught to go to sanctuary.. He has no chance when mating season comes.. That’s sad.no chance in a fight
Great job, it was nice to review the streets I walked on my visit to Newark
Cleavon Little to Robert Armstrong:”Where the white women at?”Armstrong to Little:”Blondes are scarce around here.”
NY Hoboken is named at the Belgian ( Flemish) city of Hoboken near Antwerp. Many of the early American settlers were refugees from Antwerpen (Antwerp) and the Southern Netherlands, now Belgium. The first settlers in New York were Belgians (Flemish Dutch and Walloons), they came to New York in 1623 (Michael Pauw, from Ghent and Peter Minuit from Tournai) and founded settlements at Wallabout, Long Island, Staten Island, Hoboken and Pavonia. A consul of the “Low Countries” in London Emanuel van Meteren, born in Antwerp, induced Henry Hudson to go meet with the famed cartographer Petrus Plancius (from Ypres) in Amsterdam
Cool video .. Do a video about the Ironbound sections, is an up & coming area.
So How far is the train station from Raymond Plaza west I need to catch to get to the Newark Airport
This song speaks to me.
It’s harsh when a young bright light goes dark in an instant.
My uncle died with 3 friends, in a car crash, when he was 16.
There was a plaque with all 4 boys hanging on the wall for a life time. Well 2 lifetimes been there for double the years he lived.
I always remember him in his cross country jersey. He loved athletics wrestling, triathlons, anything.
I too have questions upon arrival in heaven.
I lost a friend 2 years ago to suicide. My mom showed me this song and I sobbed. If I get to Heaven, instead of asking God, I want to ask my friend why he did it. Rest in paradise Spook♡
At 2:32 When he pans right? I used to work in both those buildings. At 09:20,that used to be a DOUNUT SHOP, at 10:02 was a old store call WOOLWORTHS, that was another on of my 1st jobs outta school, 1987.
For me, Hoboken will forever be linked with Max Payne; though it looked a lot darker and more unfriendly in the game. I’m pleasantly surprised how beautiful it is in real life.
Anybody else get a Grand Theft Auto vibe from this? I’m waiting for somebody to say,” move it outta here!” Or, “no money, no problem!”
The birthplace and hometown of Frank (The Voice) Sinatra! If I’m not mistaken there was a local restaurant who’s bread he enjoyed so much he had it daily flown to whatever location he was at at the moment. That’s star power for you!
My whole family is from Newark. That goes all the way back since the 30s. Newark has had some issues in the past, what big town dont? Newark nj is a cool place with alot of things to see and do. I’m an Irish American. Love Newark til the end. And I’m glad that the town is only getting better each day with jobs and more businesses. Theres alot of good people in this town. Dont worry about the negative comments below if there are any. Those are just from the ignorant jackasses that obviously have no idea. WITH IRISH PRIDE, IN NEWARK WE RIDE!
Ahhhhhh the memories!
I remember cutting school in Plainfield to go shopping in Newark.
My mom and I used to get the train at Penn station to go down south for vacations.
I miss living in New Jersey
But newark is said to be very unsafe…in evenings in car its said to be very unsafe
Una parte di new Jersey assomiglia le città di film western, i grattacieli chi ci abita la notte deve essere molto bello il panorama di Manhattan, bella anche perche’ non e’ molto grande e bella
This song reminds me..when you get older your gonna have kids. You’ll lose some friends, you may never see some of ur friends again. You’ll move into a house.
Newark is a cross between Camden,Philly, brooklyn.,but worse,my in laws still live there, better strap up if you hang in da hood, but I never had a problem.
I’m strapped to a bed so this is the only contact I have with the real world. Thank you
I had a friend and classmate who passed away from an asthma attack sophomore year. They built a new baseball field in his honor.
A much cleaner and nicer place to visit and live thanks to the city reviltilization!!!! A way to go but getting there!!!!
Too many commercials the same stupid HULU COMMERCIAL 4 times come on really
When you’re happy, you enjoy the music. When you’re sad, you understand the lyrics.
actionkid105 you show the city as its inhabitants see it, not tourists. Informative videos.
Lived in society hill and worked at blue Cross and that was almost my daily commute
You should have gone to The Ironbound. That neighborhood is beautiful.
At 25:21, nice play on words:) Acai ya later Acai is pronounced ah-sigh-EE so kind of a play on “I’ll see you later”. Quite clever. I had to watch Mark Wiens on his Brazilian trip to find out how to pronounce it correctly, Lol. I used to pronounce it ah-kai.
Acai is a superfood and supposed to be really good for you. ( “Acai berries are a Brazilian “superfruit.” ; “Some studies show that acai fruit pulp is even richer in antioxidants than cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, or blueberries”)
Indeed, their talking walk signal guy sounds like he hasnt had his morning coffee yet.:) “Nope! I’m not waiting with your attitude like that!” There’s that NY sass! Lol
Nice video! Thanks for showing us a part of the world we may not otherwise get to see!
what a beautiful song. I am balling right now, my son died 2013 and I am the mom who stopped going to church… now I go a few times a year, trying so hard to let go of the resentment, continue to ask the unanswered question. Why did you let a heart stop beating?
…OF ALL PLACES TO GO..YOU GO TO JERSEY CITY…BETTER PLANNING AND YOU COULD HAVE HAD A GREAT DAY….CHOOSE WISELY NEXT TIME!
What a great video! I have never seen that part of New Jersey. Love the waterfront. Thanks so much.
1:28:44 “TRUMP, TRUMP, TRUMP!” LOL what a massive herb hanging out with his grandpa lol. Probably lives with him too.
Yo action when you come to Jersey City go by Grove St, Exchange place waterfront area, Hamilton park area, and Journal Square area. Liberty State Park area. Where you go your on the wrong side there’s no activity at this time bc it’s the business district…
My dad has cancer and he needs surgery. He’s actually questioning if he should have it. He said my brother and I need insurance in case. But I would rather have him alive. He called my mom today in the car and my mom said he needs it. He said he was going to talk to the surgeon but he needs it. I am having a hard time thinking about life without him. We see him every weekend but we always have choices to go sooner. I really hope he has it. I cant live without him. Thank you for reading.
Jersey City looks lovely. Very clean. Do they have reasonable priced apartments? Just curious, is there a slum section in Jersey City?
I really enjoy watching your Videos from NYC and the hole Area, my last visit to NYC was in 2017. Hope i can experience the City again sonetimes. Greetings from Germany.
Can you make a video about Wildwood, New Jersey? I used to work at Morey’s Piers, would be nice to see what it is like these days. Thank You x
I’m only on minute 7. Lived off of Newark Avenue back in the 50s to 70s. All I recognize is Palace Drugs, the two banks and the place called Pino’s used to have the best pepper and potato sandwiches on that half round bread.
You are brave traveller, not like me, and not like stupids who trusts in COVID like in a G-d
Haven’t been to New York, but what looks like a National shame is that every footpath or pavement in iconic NYC looks like it is covered in acne, until you realise that every black spot is actually dried gum on the ground. Such a horrible look up against the beautiful architecture ActionKid shows us.
I never knew this is how Jersey city looks like or anything outside of NYC for that matter. Thanks AK for your hard work in showing us all the different boroughs without which I wouldn’t have known how they look like and most of all, the type of residents living in each city/town.
Re Colgate, I wouldn’t recommend using their toothpaste it contains sodium flouride which is a poison to the body and calcifies the pineal gland. I now use a herbal flouride free one When I used a flouride toothpaste it caused dark staining on my teeth.
That was nice thanks itbrelaces when I see all this places. Take care
The MetroNorth train is the West of Hudson line, which is actually operated by NJ Transit as a contractor for MetroNorth. It leads to Port Jervis, which is in a beautiful forested area on the Delaware River at the border of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. You should go there sometime. It’s about as different from the city as you can get-and yet there are people who commute from there each day.
YOU are at my former neighborhood. Although I grew up in Union City just north of Jersey City. You got the Jersey accent very good. Who ever thought there would be skyscrapers in Jersey City!! WOW! I miss seeing the skyline from Jersey. When I lived in Union City I saw the skyline everyday. Thanks for traveling to Jersey City. I hope you got back home safely. God bless you.
Girl songs like this make me think everything all over again. Thanks.
I loved this stream AK! So cozy in Jersey City, I love the restaurants towards the end 1:27:43 That was a lot of cycling you did before you went live, can’t wait to see the video. That was some work.
I also like the Modern architecture and light rail system. Very nice AK!
I think it’s not necessary to wear mask in the city. Nice view
I wonder if this return to normal is going to seem like a good idea soon. I hope so.
Poor bear it’s the responsibility of the state to help him with his paws
you actually save $$ from living in NJ and working in NYC because you do not need to pay the 3% city tax. You wind up paying the lower of the taxes from both states; you don’t pay tax twice.
Wow I had no idea Newark, NJ was so modern yet so cozy.I love it.
Gross to see the sheeple with their oxygen-depriving germ diapers on.
literally all of her questions can be answered by science but ok
I was briefly in Newark in 2001. My brother used to live in Jersey City. Thank you for the nice video tour!☺
Great, AK. I was born and raised in Jersey City. Thanks for doing this video. Amazing that you biked there from Astoria.
If i was an American. This is ome of the places where i will settle. A tiny calm plsce.
Wow! I still remember I asked u to show around the Journal square area in ur Newport walking tour…Thanks!!
“Great directions past the social distancing stickers on the ground”.
Awesome video. I enjoyed it very much no have not been out the way I used too bit was very calming and relaxing to see the city.
this mite sound weird but my bearded dragon loves this song!!!
My cousin passed away a few days ago from a motorcycle wreck and when I heard this song it warmed my heart <3
The names Yogi, Yogi the bear.
Now where the f*ck is my picnic basket?
AK putting in the work. Bike for 3 hours and then walking with the bike!
I get back to my Hometown like twice a year and am happy to see it every time, can’t wait to get back and see my loved ones again. Miss you BRICK CITY!!!! PEACE.
A nice, safe and clean place to live, study and work. A friend of mine lives there with his wife.
My hometown. Kind of sad that years ago almost everyone knew each other or of each other. Especially in downtown. Now everyone is a stranger. So many outsiders have moved in but it’s also our fault for moving out. I understand that progress is good but it’s just not the same anymore.
There was a kid in my town. He was homecoming king. He played on the football team. He made everyone smile. He himself had a beautiful smile. Just a few months ago he and his mom died in a car crash. His jersey is hanging in the locker room. This song makes me think of him.
I’ve visited Hoboken September 2016 it was pouring rain on and off all-day. It’s such a beautiful, charming place, I will need to come back soon.
I was born and raised here, I’m still living here. One positive thing I can say is that gentrification is taking a big toll on the cities residents now, who can’t really afford it. I just hope when its well gentrified I just hope there’s still a piece of pie left for the people who are less fortunate in the inner urban areas in the city.
Crossing signal in monotone robot voice: “Action Kid, please cross Washington St. at a glacial pace, and don’t kung fu punch me this time….”
Thank you! I love your videos and am so happy you do them great for disabled, armchair tourists like me! Hoboken seems to be a very nice city! I wouldn’t mind living there at all!
Just came across your channel had to subscribe! Great channel my friend!
Nice vid…but u didn’t go to Sinatra birthplace star memorial…Garden St…
You should take the train to Asbury park and just walk around
Hoboken beautiful City it has so much charm very clean n looks amazing
Very nice video
I work in construction and we always have the radio on, different station everyday, but it’s on. I can remember the first time I heard this song so well. It was a sunny day, not super warm, but still beautiful. We had some country station on (btw I’m not a huge country radio fan) and as soon as it started I was interested. The line “why couldn’t you stop that car from crashing” hit me super hard. It brought tears to my eyes, and still does everytime I hear it, because less then two months after we graduated a friend of mine and her little brother both died in a car accident while they were out with their cousins getting ice cream. I can remember going to her wake. I’d never meet her parents before. As I walked toward the coffin to see her for the last time I felt a tap on my shoulder, it was her mom. She looked at me and said “You’re the one who always took her hiking aren’t you?” I said I was, tears forming in my eyes. She saw them coming, looked at me and said “She always loved going on those hikes”. We hugged and cried for what felt like eternity. When I stepped back I said “I’ll never forget her, not a soul here today will ever forget how beautiful and kind your daughter was”. She hugged me again and we went out separate ways. I think about her all the time, especially since I started listening to Tenille Townes, and this song in particular, more often. I hope she’s been with me on every trail I’ve hiked in the last 11 years. I miss you. I love you. Forever 18. Rest Easy Beautiful.
A lot of processing going on with the vocals. She doesn’t really sound like that. Shame on those falling for it.
I think it’s far more likely that it is named after the Hoboken district in Antwerp.
I appreciate your pure nature and dry humor from your commentary. I started watching for your bike rides.
Wow! Thank you. It has been to long. I was born and raised in Newark. I live in Dubai now, haven’t been back home for 16 years.
I’ve never seen angled street parking where everyone backs there car in.
My friend just recently passed away, and as I was sitting in the parking lot after his service this song was on tik tok.. he died in a rollover accident and this song speaks to my soul.
At 48:55 you walk by a famous rock music club (now closed) called Maxwell’s. REM and Nirvana played their very first New York area shows there. Bruce Springsteen filmed the video for his song “Glory Days” there. Many famous rock bands played there.
Looks like a 48 x 16 gear on your ride! Single speeds are the best! That’s what I used when I did messenger work in NYC.. I had a Michelson Kamikaze in the summer time, from California! It was Magenta and Pink fade… super light!
Hi, AK, I have some friends who live in Hackensack, NJ, and I would like you to make a video of that place at some point, would you? Thank you.
Saturday morning a 17 year old boy on the basketball team went flipping in a 2017 challenger and flew out of the car 126 feet away! He was speeding with his girlfriend in the car she just had arm injury Fly high Jayden Reece the second jersey hanging in our high school gym in 2 years
I did not see any supermarks to buy food and did not see any homelessness. Why is that.?
Awesome videos!!!! I normally go for walking with my 1 year old son. It’s been very hot in our state so I wanted to find something on YouTube to walk to. Now I put my son in a carrier and we walk inside our home while watching your videos. He loves it!!! My son wave at the people in the videos lol
I was born an raise in Hoboken, from the 80s to late 90s. I still come to Hoboken to visit family and friends. Hoboken went through alot of changes, even before I was born. So many good memories there. We had alot of things to do like festivals, parade, community gathering, block parties, dare programs in the parks and etc… This place had so many family own business thru out Hoboken from downtown to uptown. Everybody knew each other. When I use to go out by myself, some store owner would say… Say hi to your family for me. My barber Mrs. L use to give me Loli Pop lol. Holiday are the best in Hoboken. Back then we use to chill outside to play with our friends while our mothers look out for us. Now Hoboken change to yuppie town. It was more like a community back then. I still love Hoboken. This place has alot of History. Here’s 2 fun facts for you: The first Oreo was sold on March 6, 1912, to a grocer in Hoboken, New Jersey. And the first Blimpie sub shop opened on May 16, 1964 Hoboken, New Jersey. Love the video.
You are correct about Hoboken’s baseball history. But one thing needs to be clarified. Baseball’s first formal league was formed in Hoboken. But the game itself was actually invented in Madison Square Park in Manhattan. Many people get it wrong by saying, “Baseball started in Hoboken”.
Thanks ActionKid! It took me back to my childhood in the ’60s. 40:28 (821 Washington) was my grand parents place. They lived in the apartment on the ground floor. We spent our summers there. We used to call the church at 4th “Peter Paul and Mary”-we thought that was hilarious:)
What an amazing channel my friend, thanks for sharing the beautyful places of NY an NJ
İn your opinion, which places are good for rasing a family with children in New York and New Jersey?
I havn’t lost a loved one from a accident but these comments are just hurting me.
Well now we really want to know what you eat to keep in such great shape
we need that out here in California making walk videos of places I am going to try to do that
Something about the way the camera bounces with the footsteps is adorable. Also I’m 6’4 so cool to see the perspective. Thanks! Never been there.
And yes, you are a better talking-crosswalk voice than the Hoboken voice actor. Yes!!
9:30 mark is where I once worked, corner Broad and Market at Woolworth’s way back in the seventies.
I think Hoboken is ‘my kind of town’. Quiet but reasonably close to the ‘not quiet’:)
I used to get on those trains at the terminal everyday as I lived in Jersey. One landmark that you missed was the old location of the historic Clam Broth House. The original iconic sign is on the roof. You turned down a street before you reached it. The original building was torn down in the early 2000s. The restaurant went all the way back to 1899. They had very good food there and sometimes when I was not in a hurry I would walk over there for an early dinner.
Great… When I win the Lottery Iam moving to Hoboken. With all its shops. Thanks for this one, you just Keep out doing yourself….
I liked that area of New Yersey. it’s clean and modern everywhere. it’s ideal for going for a walk. the view to downtown Manhattan is amazing!!
Thanks for the details, will watch later the whole thing
Hi there! – I am always amazed at the outstanding role played by bars and barriers.
Holboken is like Birkenhead in Merseyside to a degree..as you go across the river Mersey and look across to the City of Liverpool..you get a similar feel for the view. Hoboken railway terminsl is fantastic. I love tge seating with lights above them. Liverpoil has a nice railway station and one if the oldest in the world ( infact just a couple of miles out of tge city centre is tge worlds oldest working railway station Edge Hill. 1830..George Stephensons rocket went through there..( the worlds first passenger train) Hoboken is far more beautiful.
That was fun. Beautiful terminal! Lovely church bells. Nice wide, clean streets. Great Pier too.
Very nice
ActionKid, how did you manage to manufacture this ultimate success contents? I enjoyed it fully and you introduced knowledge of this city to me that I did not know about. My plan is to continue watching your upload contents to learn about many areas in the future.
Really enjoyed this! And I am shocked, actually, because my impression of Hoboken would be that it was rundown and rather unclean. While I’m sure there are less desirable areas in Hoboken, the places you walked appeared to be so clean and pleasant. I love the layout and the shops and buildings and residences, seems like a great area. Of course, it’s no doubt very expensive and that prohibits a lot of people from living there, which is too bad because there are many good people in this country who’d love to live in a stylish, charming area but just can’t afford it. Anyway, I now have a completely new impression of Hoboken.:) As always, thank you for your videos! (Btw, I don’t think the banana was a big deal, perhaps some birds will munch on it!:)
bro i just want to be a bystander in one of your videos..let me know where next haha
What fun to relive my 2018 trip. Ferry from Manhattan, breakfast at a Cuban place on Washington St, walk around, check out Hoboken Terminal, PATH to WTC. You covered many interesting blocks that I missed. Thanks!
Well, NJ ranks 2nd of the wealthiest states in the US after Maryland. Thank you for the video.:)
This is how they rank in order of the top ten
Maryland
New Jersey
Hawaii
Massachusetts
Connecticut
New Hampshire
Alaska
California
Virginia
Washington
Can you please do the blind community in New York City a favor? If you see a talking crosswalk that is not working, please report it. People don’t report those things. I remember one in Charlotte North Carolina, where I live, that was broken for a year and a half. no one did anything about it until I said something to the city Council
More about that talking crosswalk, or those talking crosswalks actually, that drumming sound they make when it’s time to cross the street is usually the locator tone. The locator tone is blind people speak for that little ticking you here. In New York City and most places around the country it’s used to find the talking crosswalk button.
Very nice video from NJC. The flags are at half flagpole. Who is dead?
Also the home of the famous Carlo’s Bakery on Washington Street featured on the tv show Cake Boss
Hi there from Moscow! I use to work in Newark. Yeah, it was a long time ago back in 1995. Now Iam living in Russia Moscow. Thank u 4 a good video.
So aesthetically enjoyable! I feel like I’m there. JC’s cultural diversity is more visible than in Manhattan where the towers soar and the peeps travel through the canyons.:)
It was a fresh breezy day. The Senal’s windsock was was pushed to its limit. Does Senal offer something more stringent?
Cheers from sunny breezy Vancouver, BC.
See guys, Jersey ain’t so dirty. Thanks for venturing across the Hudson!
The bears are evolving, we need to start a genocide before they take over
I am from the UK and am wondering why you don’t have a lot of pitched roofs on the buildings.?
That terminal… gorgeous!!! Do you know what I noticed? No bars on the windows of first floor apartments. I found this amazing so it must be a safe place to live. The view from the Pier… spectacular!!! It looks like a nice place to live and not far from Manhattan. Best of both worlds lol Thanks Actionkid. Great walk as always.:o)
NYC should annex Hoboken. It might as well be the 6th borough.
Academy Award winning “On the Waterfront” filmed in Hoboken.
I remember growing up in Newark and when I used to go to pen station their was a homeless lady who smoked napkins all day long.
22:35 scared the hell out of me. That’s one of my big fears about living in a city… somebody just starts shooting. Ugh.
I come from France thank you for making me travel through this video
Your comment about the degradation of the rail and ferry station suggests that you’re bugged by the patina on the exterior of the building. Patina is a product of natural weathering that’s considered a badge of honor by connoisseurs of ancient stuff, who howl in dismay if it’s removed. It’s quite superficial and does not indicate any deterioration in the structure.
Thank you for video and beautiful new Jersey but never be there walk very nice ❤
Which route did you take to get to Newport from NYC? From a new subscriber! Live in the heights, Jersey City, and you were walking through Cornelia Street where I worked! Never knew Taylor Swift lived on that street either!
the park at the 44:30 mark is not the place baseball was first played. it is the monument that you visited afterwards
And my son & daughter in law live there!!!! so I a fairly frequent visitor. Very nice town….my wife wants to move there.
Looks like very nice area. I would like to live there. Seems very clean and neat. Must have beautiful views of city at night!!
This for some reason scares me ( the way he looks while doing it
I like how quiet and clean Hoboken is, very nice. Thanks for the walk!
I hadn’t realized you already walked Hoboken. I used to spend a good deal of time in Hoboken in the later 80s to 1990s. A good old friend of mine used to live there too,
although he was closer to the southern Jersey City border, near Observer and a good 10 minute to 15 walk west from the PATH station. Hoboken has sadly changed
a good deal in the past 20 years, and not much for the better. The once-solid music scene suffered greatly when Maxwells changed owners a number of years ago,
and then finally shut its doors for good (after a brief revival) about three years ago now. Also, there used to be tons of bookstores and record stores in Hoboken in the 80s and 1990s,
including Pier Platters (which was closer to the PATH train), which was partly-owned by Steve Fallon of Maxwells, and was a fantastic indie record shop, right out
of High Fidelity. There was also some other small record store across the street as well, or a sales annex of Pier Platters. Any record store that has Iggy and the Stooges’
Metallic K.O. on the top shelf of a CD display, gets my vote. Anyway, this Hoboken is now gone forever, I reckon. At least you can still get some good eats there.
I saw a bunch of great bands at Maxwells: John Wesley Harding, D-Generation, Bob Perry (solo with Winter Hours tribute band), Winter Hours, met Galaxie 500 once since my friend was interviewing Dean Wareham but we weren’t given tix to the sold out show, alas (which was spectacularly dumb of this friend of mine, since she should’ve secured all three of us tix
ahead of time-she also forgot to press RECORD on the Sony tape recorder for the interview, but that’s another tale entirely). I didn’t get there that often years ago, because it was a long arduous drive from L.I., mainly. I was downstairs backstage with D-Generation, who I knew already, but that was hilarious.
There are others I can’t even remember. I always loved the vibe and ambience of Hoboken, it’s just plain cool. Other famous Hoboken scene rock bands were: The Cucumbers,
The Bongos, The Feelies, The Gefkins, and many others.
I found this song on Tik Tok and it hits home. I lost a friend he was 20 years old and he was the designated driver for his frat and was hit head on by a drunk driver. It’s been almost a year and a half without him. His baseball jersey is up in our school.
We lost our precious Baby Blayke due to a car accident on July 9th, 2017. It has been a very hard few years for his family and close friends. He was only 17. A sweet, old soul that loved everyone and everyone loved him. My grandson is named after him, Camden Blayke Morgan!! This is an amazing song!
My grandma passed away aguest 7 2019 i am 13 it wasnt a car crash but my family was in the elivater when she died we were walking in the room when they said she was gone fly high gram gram
Tanks for your amazing Video and love greetings from Germany❤
Wow. This was just amazing. I love how respectful it is and yet how honest and sad it is at the same time.
Lost my best friend when I was in high school. It’s been 8 years and it doesn’t hurt any less. I miss him. I hadnt thought about him in awhile until I came across this song on Spotify. Had to pull over bc I was crying so hard. I have a daughter now he would love her and I wish he would have gotten the chance to meet her. 2012 lost a good one and my world hasn’t been the same since. I love you Jacob and I hope heaven is treating you well. I miss you.
Hoboken looks like it is a big city with a suburban vibe. Thanks for the geographical history lessons.
My beautiful daughter, Lexi, died in a car accident at 17 years old on May 11,2019. My world has collapsed without her.
hello there Kenneth how are you doing today who I’m so glad you went to Jersey City New Jersey that’s a blessing to go there had never been to New Jersey have yourself a good weekend
I lost my son to an accident just over 2 years and such a beautiful message in this song. I still cry and have no answers for me, never will I think.
I’ll be staying in Union City in May for a few days. Would it be possible to ride a bike on the waterfront all the way to Hoboken?
My bestfriend died in a car crash hit a semi head on Feb 22 2020 rip ashton and lexi
My cousin died in a car accident he was a drunk driver and was going the wrong way on a highway he was the only one that died I know it was his fault but fly high my footballer
My dad died when I was 5. It was from car accident. It’s been years already but I’m still asking why it has to be him. I’m still asking why didn’t the car stop. I want to know why of all people it has to be my dad.
Hey ActionKid! Love your channel! You should walk Downtown Newark today..ALOT has changed in two years. Also, take the light rail to Branch Brook Park. Walk through this beautiful park which was designed by the same architect who did Central Park in NYC. Then walk through the historic Forest Hill, with its large homes and mansions. Its a beautiful neighborhood.
Is this Tenille related to John Townes Van Zandt? Grand daughter maybe? Seems to have the tone and writing skill of John.
I still remember the day in Junior High school when the principal made an announcement over the P.A. system to inform the student body that Carolyn Black had been killed in a car accident. It came as a bit of a shock to me as it was someone I knew from some of the classes we had in common.
The first time I heard this last winter, it reminded of patient I took care of who was in the later stages of ALS. She would always talke about a young man who was killed in a car accident the night they graduated.
its weird to see such a big green space at Pier A, yet only 1 person using it:D
I love this song 1st time I heard it I cried because my gramps died in a car crash
This is a beautiful song especially if you’re singing it. You are amazing! ❤️
I lived in newark nj all my life (worse hood of nwk) but i thought seeing it would make me go back but i don’t want to i made it out and im never going back thank u!
My grandma was hit by a cow at her chest which triggered the cancer hormones and she developed breast cancer..she died 6 years ago after crying out of pain for a long time.. #fly high grandma…i love you forever
I grew up over there. It got so bad I had to move. They found body in a janitor closet in one of the apartments where I used to stay and one of my buddies who was only 16 was shot. My grandmother heard the shots. My grandmother still lives there.
You want to walk a boring city? Try Harrisburg, PA. Very boring. A pretty city, but boring. The most interesting thing about Harrisburg to me is the State Fair compass. PA has its State Fair in the wintertime in January.
When you realize that a full grown bear doesn’t even weigh that much more than your fat ass.
My brothers bestfriend who was basically my brother died in a truck crash. A dear ran out infront of his car and fliped it over, the seatbelt came undone and he got killed. I miss him so much. I couldnt go to his funeral because I had a huge dance competiton and in the middle of my solo i broke down in tears because i regreted not going. I miss him so much this song makes me cry all the time. But i know he is in a better place with his grandparents. 4/26/2020
When are you going to do the walk from the opening scene of Saturday night fever?? Past lennys pizza place
No filming in the PATH??!! I film every time I’m taking those trains:D
I lost my grandma 6 years ago when I was five I loved she used to always hug me when I came home from school. My mom got in lots of car crashes when I was young I thank God for keeping her alive
Me encantó el recorrido y las vistas del Río Hudson. Saludos!!
Just started the video and am so excited that I had to comment! I did not know this place existed. Looks awesome already
beautiful sad melody and words were perfect.thank you for this
I lost my mom suddenly and unexpectedly in December of 2018. I have so many questions
She just makes me so happy she’s so sweet thinking about the homeless and the earth
why they don’t put many high trees on the roadsides and i can’t see many gardens out there, no coffes, no restaurantes are visible on the sides to have a rest when we are tired or if we want to take a good coffee. What a city is this!!!
I used to take my road bike up 9W from the GWB toward Nyack and then to Bear Mountain! Have you ever rode up that way AK?
May 26, 2019. 5 days after I watched you walk across the football field to get your diploma. I opened Snapchat to the most heartbreaking news. You were gone. I had so many questions. I still do. Like why did you go in such a way, at least you never felt the pain. The impact is what took you from us. You were 18. A fresh high school graduate. Had a promising future and you died in a car crash. Everyday I miss you and I wonder why you left so soon. I miss you Austin.
I like this. Reminds me of the midsize Midwestern town I’m from but you get the bonus of New York City next door.
This song is like a punch to the chest but I love it. I lost my niece, her husband and her 2 kids in a freak car accident in February this year. This is the question I always ask.
my sophomore year we lost a boy a week before the last day of school…he was freshly 16 and was hit by a car and this song perfectly describes how we all felt and still feel..going on 3 years May 26th. fly high jake #57
this song is the definition of bitter sweet. Tenille you are beautiful as is your voice. God bless.
So, Hoboken Was Founded By The Dutch West India Company? Now I Hate It Even More. You Can Flood Both Of Them, Hoboken And The Netherlands.
Hi action kid I love your videos I will like to see Hoboken in the Christmas season when Hoboken light up for the Christmas season
I lost my best friend on Feb 11th 2017. He was killed in an ATV accident and it seemed like the world stopped for a few weeks. I felt helpless and was torn that he didn’t get to graduate. His jersey hangs on the wall. Fly high #36.
I lost one one of my best friends in 2005 due to a bad rollover in a trench in iraq.He was a sergeant in the army and had just turned 21 that year when he passed away.At his high school in our home town they have his jersey hanging on the wall and have his football number on the ground as a tribute to him.I never got a chance to say goodbye to him or tell him hello when he came back home before the accident because i was in another state at the time. There’s not a day that doesn’t go by that I don’t think about him and remember all the good times we had when we were younger.I remember one time we tried to run away but he got caught first and got grounded for a week unlike me,I got lucky and didn’t get in trouble even though i should have.Rest in peace Sgt.Paul Saylor
The cross signal voice sounds like an emo who’s done with life xDD
5 months ago today I lost a friend in a crash and this song fits exactly everything i feel

I do not now this song but i like it now. I love her voice and this song. but what is her Name my Name is September
Thanks for another great tour. I’m very impressed with Hoboken bright, clean and airy with lots of nice architecture. What a hidden gem. I’ll be sure to go there on my next visit to NYC.
Great song, terrific singer. Re-shoot this video live, with the cuts of the school in the same place it’ll kill, singing in the gym looks out of place, I need to see her sing live with intimate shots.
My boyfriend got in a car wreck in 2017 and he was paralyzed neck down and now he’s only paralyzed waist down and this song tears me up
this song tears me up every time. my cousin died in a car wreck on march 6 2016. 5 months after her 21st birthday:(

The real reason why people report seeing werewolves and werewolf-like creatures.
This song makes me realize a lot and not to be ungrateful when it comes to my graduation and prom and etc for the fact that there are kids out there that may never or will never see those days.
This could be any High School in America. It was mine. Who else’s school has a story like this?
Beautiful song! After reading some of the painful comments I knew I had to share this. I have lost several siblings and relatives to tragedy. The first almost killed me, it was my little sister who died at barely 18 years old, after 12 days in a coma following a motorcycle accident in which she was the passenger. I was angry with God at first. I had begged and groveled for mercy during those 12 days and he took her anyway. Eventually, I worked through it and came to the place where I knew he must have had a good reason, and that someday he would tell me why. A few years would pass before someone told me,” I have a message for you, I think you are mad at God and maybe you should reconcile that”. I thought, I’m not mad at God, but I sat down and prayed and had a conversation with him, during this, I came to an atonement, if you will. And I realized this is God I am talking to, the creator of all things including me, and that was his sole he took back that day, lent to me for a time, a wonderful time. He did not owe me anything and did not need to explain anything, he gave me a gift that blessed my life for the time I had her in it, and has blessed me with so many other wonderful soles, how could I complain or be bitter about this gift. During this atonement I received an incredible anointing (too long of a story in this already long story) Since then I was more capable and in a better place to handle the losses that would come. If you have read this far I think you are the reason I was compelled to post this. God bless and keep you.
Alright gotta find a local circus gym so I can be a clown on stilts
That spot at:53 seconds is where i got on a bus when i was 19 and GOT THE FUCK OUT OF NEWARK! Got shot off my crutches lmao. They are disrespectful
What a lot of bastards. Why wouldn’t the wildlife experts help him?
Thank you. Very interesting. Do you know if there’s an entrance to the Journal Square PATH from the back, i.e. via Magnolia Landing?
wow… Just got my construction stilts today. Sat on my truck at first, then got on my ladder to get up. This is the BEST tutorial I have discovered yet. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
