Hey guys, sorry to post again.
Week 2 into this new job and wondering how you guys would approach this situation. Maybe it's a common thing in medicine.
I've worked pretty had last week and this week being the only doctor on the ward while the rest of my team are in clinic/surgery. For most of the day I'm running around, calling around trying to get tasks done. I've made small mistakes along the way but I admit to them and am always very happy to apologise for my mistakes.
Despite doing all this, I feel like I'm not appreciated by my team. I don't really get a "thank you" or "good job" but instead I hear of my mistakes.
I know that transitioning from student to full-time work is difficult but I feel like it's infinitely more difficult in this environment. Am I out of my place to ask to speak to a more senior team member and let them know I'm trying my best and I'm feeling overwhelmed? Or would this cause more trouble?
