If there is no research on plant based diet,
so American Dietetic Association based their position on plant based diet on nothing?
I like Earn Your Happy. It has a lot of really great topics!
If you liked S-town I highly recommend an episode of Real Crimes Profile where a group of people (including a former FBI agent, a writer for criminal minds, and a psychoanalyst) go in depth on John Macklemore’s personality and what might have been going on with him. It added so much to my enjoyment of S-town and gave me a whole different outlook!
Check out The Lively Show if you haven’t. I love, Love, Love Jess Lively. She talks a lot about personal growth and LOA, etc.
As a fan and athlete I hoped this sport would grow. That someday we would be able to see interest elevated to the point that a major network would cover it more. I like to watch a good race. CF Games and now sanctionals, provide that.
I have to say that it seems very telling that around the 21:50 mark Dave says “he doesn’t consider it fun to go to a Crossfit event, nor does he watch”.
I am not ragging on him. I just find it troubling that he holds this opinion.
I wish he would have stated that different.
If the director of the CF Games doesn’t think that any of these events are spectator worthy, how does he convince anyone else that CF is viewer worthy?
I bet the directors/owners of the new XFL league are viewers and fans of the NFL.
Thanks for sharing!! Any tips/advice on starting a youtube channel?
Have you ever thought about starting a podcast? I feel like you could come up with tons of topics to talk about!
I really like Crash on my Couch by Arden Rose and Will Darbyshire! They are both Youtubers and the podcast is kind of random but it just gets me in a good mood whenever I’m feeling down or want to get my mind off of things:))
Dudette, youre too legit and naturally beautiful. Thanks for all the great food idears:)
I always have to slow down my scrolling when I see you in the YouTube feed hahaha. ENTIRELY too cute.
My favorite story podcast, hands down, is The Bright Sessions. It’s a fictional work about therapy for the strange and unusual and it’s SO interesting and the characters are so loveable (…most of them).
Awesome suggestions totally added One Part Podcast while watching this video. My top ones that I listen to are: The Food Heals Podcast, Gastropod, and The Party in my Plants Podcast. ❤️
Dr Julie…i have always admired your excellence in pulling the best stuff out of peeps….love this interview and Dave’s candor. Don’t know if you were having a bad day but you are coming across a bit flat…just a little boost of enthusiasm if you could. thank you and keep up the great work.
Highly important topic. Maybe our mental health crisis is a toxic food crisis.
I love that Dave is straight to the point with no BS. Some people get turned off by that, but I admire that quality in people. Dave is right about keeping his family out of the spotlight, and he’s right about recognizing people’s kids. Rich has his kids in all his videos, and I’m not sure that’s quite the best thing in this day and age. Oh and Julie literally has it all. She’s obviously extremely intelligent, she’s a great athlete, and she’s incredibly beautiful.
Thanks for sharing. Cool stuff. Little tip….when we know the topic is about “Podcasts” or whatever it may be, there’s no need to keep saying the word “podcast” throughout your commentary. I think it would make your already outstanding videos even a little better
I LOVE S-Town!!! I can’t figure out how to get my friends to listen to it!
I went to get some groceries and a little girl about 4 years old was sitting on sidewalk bench witb her family saw me and she immediately started to wave at me! And I realized although i waved back I couldn’t smile back at her! How sad we are unlearning love freedom joy hugging in humanity!
Have they finished removing the asbestos insulation from your office yet?
Thank you , I’ve been trying to slowly become vegan n your channel is so helpful, ❤️you
Ahh I love onepartpod!! I just started listening its so good!
I love podcasts! S-town was sooo good! I also just started listening to Earth to Us and I love it! Some of my other favorite podcasts are RadioLab, The lively show, and Happier! Can’t wait to try out some of these other podcasts!
Change is a part of life to be sure, but callously ripping up people’s lives with little to no communication or prior warning is cruel. Being deployed to Afghanistan isn’t a license to be cruel. His life was not as affected, but people lost their jobs, athletes were forced to change their training, and nobody cared about the fans. This all sounds very selfish to me. I love how when asked to name any negatives he blew the question off.
Interesting information that is applicable and engaging. Thank you both for the wonderful interview and making this information available to the people.
Dave doesnt understand the new format of the Games. The new format demands a higher level of design of the programming especially the order of the events. 2019 was a disaster
Love this video! I live in Fort Lauderdale so im excited to listen to the Miami podcast.
Thanks for sharing! Just nice I’m looking for podcasts. The podcast logo can hang in there longer. Some might be struggling with playing back to that second-long logo.
married over forty yrs, no vacuming eight kids so this is alll bullshit
My mom she yells and complain about everything always cursing shes childish
And i notice its always the black moms like this tho
Wait. These are free… on my iPhone podcast app… what. WHAT? I downloaded audible to buy their super expensive (in my opinion) audio books for my walks and and for work down time. I am so happy to find out about this and I feel like dumb… haha.
Women and children who are collateral damage in war and pestilence in the villages globally! Reassuring consoling massaging anxiety coping skills are being paralyzed panic!2020m
This is SO great!! ❤️ I would recommend that you listen to The Love Bomb by Nico Tortorella. Nico is an actor who interviews a different person in each episode, and everything is related to love, sexuality, gender, relationships, and generally being a human. All of his conversations are incredibly authentic, spiritual, and eye opening! Not to sound too dramatic about it, but I can honestly say that many of Nico’s episodes have changed the way I look at life. I think you’d love it too!
Unrelated, but could you do a video all about kombucha? Thanks!
Love this video!!! And EVERYONE should listen to School of Greatness by Lewis Howes. Any fellow listeners out here? ❤️
Oh my goodness, Caitlyn you should totally listen to Radiolab! It’s a podcast that explores ideas and science, and literally every episode blows my mind. Give it a try:)
I primarily listen to a rather preposterous amount of political and info-y podcasts, but whenever I need to regain some hope in humanity (which has become much more often as of late) I immediately turn to Colleen Patrick-Goudreau’s Food for Thought and Animalogy podcasts. Having found out about her through the 30-Day Vegan Challenge I subscribed to after watching Cowspiracy, she was the first vegan I began following; I’ve been hooked ever since! Just hearing the intro music from her husband’s band makes me bolt to the nearest cosy place and secure myself a pot of tea.
Aside from that, I love just about anything from NPR Music and KEXP, as well as Sustainababble and Earth to Us.:)
I’ve recently begun working more passionately on my mental and physical health, organization and consistency on these things as a whole. You’re videos have helped me so much! Thank you!
I have evidence of governments using brain computer interface and EMP (electromagnetic pulse) to manipulte the brain and every aspect of the body. They can change how you look, remove or add hair or change its color, develop fatty cells on the body and develop cancerous cells, they can modify wants and needs to change your behavior and influence your purchasing preferences and manipulate the market economy, or want you join into certain behaviors like prostitution or drug smuggling due to addictions being sent electro-magnetically into your brain, they can cause pain in any part of the body by sending elecrtical signals to brain center that interprets the pain, those devices can make theets go bad and can make new teeths grow, brain computer interface can color your teeths yellow and doctors will claim it is from tobacco, it can pick up all the feeling from one brain and send it to another, it cas look into history of person memories, they can sends and read thoughts and modify every aspect of the brain and body that you can think of. It can generate any illness imaginable onto the brain artificially. I am a capitalist cryptocurrency investor that is being destroyed and they exiled by communist from Croatia and they nationalised 2 of my apartmamta in Osijek, My brain is heavily manipulated by those devices for the past 2.5 years and I could not follow my investments and lost more then 4 million USD while being captured and my human and common rights are being violated. I have been moving arund EU, went to Malaysia and now Brasil and they are all violating rights and human rights by destroying my body, health and destroying my property, stealing my money and cryptocurrencies. Brasil is now keeping me forcefully agains my will is their country, destroyed my devices that I need to access mu cryptocurrencies to exchange into money, banks in the EU and stealing money from my accounts and somebody from the governments and using brain computer details to read credit card numbers from my head and is spending my money from banks on online services. Government of Croatia is stealing my online accounts bu reading passwords from my brain. I am now in Sao Paulo at the international airport after being denied to board 2 flights and was not refunded upon request, went to report everything to the police but was refuesed service government has monopoly on and you are no other corporation to turn to for a this type of service. Both Croatian and Brasilian government provided a proof that you cannot provide efficient type of services under government enforced monopolies and that they are operating illegally without regard for the constitution and laws.
Here are some of the pictures of my body destroyed with brain computer:

I’m sorry watching two cisgender white men saying prison isn’t that bad is just plain tone-deaf considering things that are happening right now.
Caitling, you have to check out Your Own Magic by Allie Michelle and Raquelle Mantra, it is absolutely amazing. <3
Thanks for sharingI downloaded a bunch! A couple of health podcasts I think you would seriously LOVE are: Found my fitness, Nutrition facts with Dr. Michael Greger, and The People’s Pharmacy!:)!
You’re seriously the best. Just found your channel and it’s my favorite.
185 squat snatch is not heavy enough for that to be considered “heavy” for the games-level male athletes. Maybe if it was fewer reps at say, 225/155 snatch I think you would have heard less complaints.
He has a great attitude about social media. Followers aren’t your friends.
If you watch Sarah’s Day on youtube (health & fitness youtuber ) she also has a podcast The Health Code
I’m curious about the moon phases on your wall? Are u a witch, if so I’m gonna start watching more:) lol
I love “wtf am I doing with my life” podcast. Also for story’s I like “the moth radio hour” it’s short stories not a series but they have a lot of interesting people
Thank you so much I’ve been stuck listening to the same 20 ish podcasts for the past 4 months
Wow thank you ✨ I am so excited to start listening to podcasts again!!!
Great video! I LOVE the Enneagram. What do you think your Enneagram type is? If not here, maybe answer in a future video? I hear ya about Rich Roll. I just fast-forward the ads, but he is pretty great.:)
My two favorites: Risk and Beautiful Conversations with Anonymous People.
if you’re into politics you should listen to pod save america, its hosted by guys that used to work for barack obama its great and they’re hilarious
Stown is so good! I went into it not knowing anything about it and I was hooked by the end of the first episode.
Earth to Us and S-Town are two of my favorites!! Podcasts are so necessary in college. I also really like How I Built This with Guy Raz, and Food for Thought with Colleen Patrick Goudreau (AWESOME for vegan transition/lifestyle) ❤️
if you’re into politics you should listen to pod save america, its hosted by guys that used to work for barack obama its great and they’re hilarious
I’ve been looking for more podcasts to listen to! Thank you so so much for sharing <3 A couple of my favorites are Stuff You Should Know (SYSK) and The Influencer Podcast.
Thank you so much for the podcast tips!! I juuuust realized I have a podcast app on my phone and now I’m obsessed haha
I think you’d look really amazing (not that you don’t already) if you cut your hair a bit shorter to it came to just under your ears! Just a random thought I figured I’d share! Love your videos:)
I love On Air With Ella. It is a health podcast and she always has a guest on and talks about a variety of things. I highly recommend it.
Rich Roll and ABM are some of my favourites too! Also your hair is growing so fast giiirl!
A lot of people hate on Dave without realizing what he has done for Crossfit and the Games. He is also very misunderstood. Most of his interviews (where he seems like a prick) are during the Games or a major Crossfit event where there is so much responsibility/details and stress in live-time that would give you sissy’s a mental breakdown. He’s actually a really good dude and a vet which makes him more likeable and with him: the Games are in good hands.
A very interesting, important interview. Thanks for your time Dr Ede. Thanks for inviting Dr Ede onto your channel/podcast.

Ketosis is our backup system, so living a Keto lifestyle means you are perpetually living in backup mode. And now you have no backup system if you ever burnout on Keto.
We are frugivores and should not be eating the chopped up remains of animal carcasses. Our bodies are temples of God, not graveyards.
I LOVE podcasts!! This was such a fun video to watch! I’m a big fan of No Meat Athlete (even though I’m not into running at all), but the two that I get most excited to see new episodes from are Happier in Hollywood (I also like Happier) and By the Book. If I could only recommend one podcast, By the Book would definitely be it these two amazing ladies pick self help books and live by their rules for 2 weeks. It’s hilarious and interesting and I really can’t recommend it enough.
I love these recommendations!!! I’d recommend the podcast Your Own Magic…I feel like you would really like it! Also you should listen to Bucci Radio! I work with Amanda Bucci and her podcast is one of my faves <3
Earth To Us is TOO good! I love that they touch on more “taboo” topics (ie: normalizing breastfeeding, war, etc) while being really respectful to the guest and allowing listeners to come to their own conclusions.
I thoroughly enjoyed that interview. Thank you for the great content!
Hi Caitlin! I’m portuguese and I’m a huge fan of yours. Can you help me with something, darling? I’m working for a company that sells nutrition produts (Herbalife) and I need to gain clients….can you tell my story in one of your videos? P.S.: we sell shakes, tea, aloé vera extract (wich is what makes you loose more weight) and lot more things…
Love ya!
Great interview! I’ve always liked Dave, glad he opened up a little here! Would have never known he had a wife and kids, he’s making a smart decision to keep them out of the limelight, important to maintain solid OPSEC.
You have no idea how exited i am to listen to this. You inspired me to listen to podcasts and i love them but its hard to find some good ones so this video im so excited for
The quality of food is also very important, meat is filled with hormones and lots of vegetables are grown using pesticides. One Ukrainian doctor also mentioned a sound idea that we should eat the food that our ancestors in our region ate. For example, my great grandpa did not eat bananas, so they are not so good for us. It is also built in our genetic system. And all of this also messes up our health.
I listen to ETU and conversations with yoga girl and that’s it. I have been dying for new suggestions, so THANK YOU for making this video
I like to adjust the podcast settings [as you mentioned Rich Roll’s], to skip the first (or last) 5 minutes (or more), if they have too many ads to suit me. 😉
im disappointed to hear you speaking against a plant based diet, i believe that God provided us with plant based foods they are so rich in nutrients that have everything we need to be healthy. you also say that there have been no studies done on a animal versus plant based diet? there definitely have been studies done proving the damage that animal diets can cause including cancer and heart disease, have you read the book by T. Colin Cambell, PhD and Thomas M. Cambell MD called the China study, The most comprehensive study on nutrition ever conducted
I love the Enneagram!! It’s super interesting to me and very accurate. I’m a 4. Which number are you?
I’ve loved following you stuff Caitlin! I’m such a podcast fan. You should totally try Tiny Spark, that’s my favorite. Also, the Enneagram is super old! It goes back to like ancient philosphers and what not and my parents even did it when they were young haha. Anyway, the Enneagram is amazing and totally changed my life, but there’s some incredible books on it and The Enneagram Institute posts a bunch of great stuff online and you can take a free enneagram test on eclectic enneagram (I’d go with the classic test!)
Thank you for covering this topic. Another type of “food” for the brain, in our opinion, is podcasts. One of our favorites is I Can’t Sleep Podcast that revolves around sleep and mental health. If you want to find similar ones, check out the list here https://desktime.com/blog/why-listen-to-podcasts/
I’ve started to listen to more podcasts, especially while I’m sitting in my Illustration class, as I’ve found it calms my anxiety as I work:3
Giiiirrlll amen on the Rich Roll adds I try to skip them but I can’t when I’m listening + driving. His convos are really deep & interesting but I can pretty much recite the harry’s razors ads.:)
“Why would I travel to Miami to see a bunch of Crossfitters working out…” Well…
This is the nicest interview I’ve ever heard with Dave Castro! More down to earth and less defensive than in the past -at least that was my personal impression.
Thank you for sharing this information!! Dr. Leaf you have changed my life and I was able to go through a difficult season and thrive with applying your tools. Now Dr. Ede is a new favorite ❤️❤️
I’m addicted to NPRs Hidden Brain!! You should check it out.
Another podcast aficionado here:) I love Invisibilia too and S-town was so addictive. Loved this different style of video, Caitlin!
I love the podcast Vegan Warrior Princesses Attack, it is my #1 favourite!
I am plant based with occasional seafood as my body tells me I need it. I listen to my body
Dang it, dang it, goddamn it…my crush has been married all this bloody while and even has daughters, ☹☹☹. What am I supposed to do now, Dave? . I can discard all my high quality Japanese sunscreens with all the shade Dave was throwing, . But on a serious note, I truly enjoy listening to what makes Dave tick and appreciate him sharing as much as he did. Thanks, Julie.
Seems like he should care what’s going on at other events to try to modify and improve as they might think differently than he would and he can choose/blend what he likes and dislikes to make a better crossfit games. Seems ignorant.
I spent 14 years in the military and I have met a few charismatics like Dave Castro. They flourish in the military environment where chaos seems to rule. Dave speaks in certainty about things you cannot know and seems indifferent to things that most people fear. People in the military are looking for a leader and Dave appears to be a leader. He also has a big mouth, running it all the time and to the biggest dudes in the room. The problem arises when you realize he doesn’t really care about you, and he’s not hiding that fact at all. He says continually throughout the interview that he doesn’t care about fellow CrossFitters, he doesn’t care about other people’s events, he doesn’t care about anyone but Dave or people that keep him in power (Glassman).
Kudos to Dave for not being honest, but he really comes off as egotistical and burned out. If I was Glassman, I would have fired him after watching this.
Oooh so many new podcasts I can check out! I am so excited to give them a try:) I love Thought for Food:) Really funny and fasciniating!
Thank you so much for this!! Such great information!! ♥️
Love this episode! So much good info and myths well and truly busted!
