Thank you so much for this video! That was exactly what I needed:) thanks for all your love and passion, love and light to you both
Cristina
Love it… I had wrist surgery years ago and thought I could never do yoga…thanks!
To all you beautiful Bohemians! Hope this helps… in whichever way you might need it today, tomorrow, or one day now that you know it is here. Sending our love and light to you!

❤️☮️
Thank you! This is so helpful, I am 63 and beginning vinyasa yoga with lots of down dogs, planks, and my wrists were on fire last evening. Now I have some new tools!
Love this routine:) would love to see more like this one! Thank you Lauren!!
I’ve been struggling with wrist pain for a while now and I’ve modified most poses to using fists/elbows to jhst avoid using them all together. I didn’t think it gets better! I kinda accepted i have weal wrists and that was that thank you for this awesome video ♥️
Thank you. Lovely class for the end of the day when I’m suffering with shoulder pain. Namaste
I keep comming back to this class, because it is so wonderful! It would be so great if you did another class like this (maybe longer?) or just one without chataranga. I often suffer from tense shoulders and neck pain and sometimes really need some Yin or hands free flows.
thank you so much for explaining through this! do you have any suggestions for similar ankle pain?
I’m glad I found this video! I hurt my rotator cuff recently but still want to keep up with my yoga. This is just perfect, just had to keep my left hand at my waist when doing triangle pose and keep left arm down when doing warrior 2 where left arm is in back. Namaste!
Thankyou, loved t k is video. Have been following you guys for the last few years, you are both amazing human beings. Thankyou for all your time. Lovepracticing yoga with you everyday. I have problems with my left wrist so again Thankyou for this exactly what I needed. Please do some more videos like this one, I struggle doing lunges because of my knees anything you can suggest would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again beautiful people,
Take care be safe..
Just what I needed. I have developed some inflammation in the Bursa in my right shoulder. The process to reduce it is rest, ice and some ibuprofen. Rest is great and important. Without yoga, my back starts to be less flexible so I need me some yoga. This was perfect after two days of rest. Tomorrow is another rest day and perhaps Hands-Free yoga again. I am so glad you offered this. I will need to build a schedule that involves resting my shoulders regularly. Like the orphan boy in Oliver Twist, “please may I have some more.”
Just what I needed today. A nice gentle flow on my very tired body. Thank you!
Thank you so much again ❤️ ur videos so much inspirational and helpful love from hungary
Two months today since my wrist fracture and I managed to be in the downward dog and plank position. Thanks!
I appreciate this flow, and I second the motion for more, longer, and more vigorous arms-free classes! I developed severe shoulder arthritis at a very young age due to a genetic condition, and as a serious yogi and general fitness enthusiast, it really turned my world upside down as all the ways I was used to doing yoga and moving my body now had to be significantly altered. I’ve worked hard to find yoga flows that not only spare my shoulders but give me a deep stretch and good workout, and classes like rhis really make my life better. Thank you, and keep up the good work!
This was really really valuable..as sincee ladt week been soo mindful of where I place mg hands
Sorry for the silly request but can you give hair care tips?:) looking for simple natural healthy hair tip
Wow, thank you so much for these wonderful wrist stretches! I work in order fulfillment, so all day long I am wrapping packages, so my wrists can get pretty tired and sore. I was feeling particularly tired in my hands and wrists today, and these exercises helped SO MUCH! I am going to try to take mini-breaks throughout the day and do these at work, so I can keep my hands and wrists feeling good and healthy.
I did your 5 minute stretches for the neck right after this one (saw it in my suggested videos), and it was such a nice addition to this one. I feeling much better now, and ready to go to work again today! Thank you
Brett, I hope you and your family and friends are holding up during this current world crisis. This is a super stressful time for everyone, and I am wishing you strength and peace amidst the chaos
I just found you and really needed this practice as I have an elbow injury. Loved this practice and your background soothing music. Namaste!
this was even better than expected, a slow mindful class to wake up the body and relax the mind in the morning. thank you very much for your love and dedication, Kassandra!
I’m Italian. I was talking to my (foreign) boyfriend today, telling him about yoga poses, my wrist pain and what I’ve been doing about it. Then it happened. The realization.
Let me introduce you to Yoga for Wrist Pain The Italian Way: https://tenor.com/view/si-hand-gesture-italian-gif-11261469.
It’s also normal to have elbow pain during yoga? Considering that I have to use mouse all day long… thanks
I have repetitive strain injury in both my wrists meaning normal yoga is painful for me so this video is much appreciated, thank you!:) Been doing it every morning since corona lockdown and I feel so much better for it!
The pain was reduced for one day…but it again came back..am I doing something wrong?
This video made my wrist pain so much worse. Was doing this a bad idea when my wrists were potentially already injured?
OMG huge difference! I had a bike crash and pressure on wrist was excruciating on my elbow so I did fists… I can now be on hands but the stretching and strength exercises will be awesome to help me out. Thank you!
this was so needed today, I’m new to working out and was so discouraged because my wrist is killing me! Thank you Adriene, you and I are becoming such fast friends.
ok! Im back when i can grab my feet while standing….
Months later….
…
Me and my arthritic wrists are thanking you! My elbows are very weak and unstable too, they start shaking violently during side planks but what you showed here should help with both.
I’d be grateful for a back strengthening advice/routine!
After countless articles and hundreds of videos looking for comprehensive help…here it is! This is an excellent video! Thank you soooo much!!!
Thank you! I burnt my hand on our woodburner, so perfect as I really can’t do normal flows at the moment
Since I’ve been doing yoga with Adriene and Benji my response to stressful or upsetting situations has been to take a deep breath (rather than fly off the handle or break down or freak out) and it’s so helpful and and this point unconscious that I’m able to navigate stressful situations without them causing too much of an issue. So thank you!
She read my mind! Thank you… This is exactly what I needed to add to my yoga practice.
Thank you so much! I’ve been loving Flow for about a month but due to wrist injuries I’ve been out for a week. Then this video to the rescue.
Wonderful practice!
My mom has a shoulder injury and really needs something positive that she can do. About to try this with her! Thank youvery excited!
If you are experiencing wrist pain, you are doing it wrong. Trying pressing the finger down more and less on the palm. That will engage your forearms. Before trying stretching your forearms. I have corrected so many students and the pain is gone.
Thank you!! I’ve recently been diagnosed with tendinitis in both wrists to the point where I couldn’t cut my own meat or hold hands with my husband. This flow has helped me strengthen various parts of my body with the least amount of pressure in my hands and wrists, and by doing so, has somehow strengthened them as well. It may be a pinched nerve stemming from the neck and shoulder area, so this has certainly helped address the issue and perhaps the real source of pain. Would love to see more videos!!
Hey Adreine! Thanks for showing an excellent stretch. However it is not that practical for my over 60 years dad as he is not that active. I am looking for something a bit more easy way of doing wrist stretch to fix his wrist and finger pain ( finger was fractured at one point and not treated with any operation). Can you please add something for this issues. Thanks in advance
I don’t normally comment on videos but I just wanted to say thank you!
I am trying to return to yoga during these uncertain times not just for fitness but for my mental health as well. I’ve been struggling with on and off wrist pain (thanks to crossfit!) and that has been limiting my yoga practice significantly did this video and OMG my wrist hasn’t felt this good in a long time!
Going to definitely include this before any future practice thank you again! xxx
Thank you!! This is different from other wrist videos I’ve done.
Really good and perfect timing as my mom is starting to practice beginning today.
it is amazing…. videos…. please do subscribe our channel too thank you
Did you complete a yoga teacher training? Where did you do that? Thanks
Thank you!! I broke my wrist/elbow recently and this was perfect helping me to stay positive & active. X
holy moly just invest your precious 15 minutes to this video. at first i was like whatever, lets give it a shot with her but wow my hard rock wrist now became a newborn baby’s wrist! thanks so much angel adriene this video is way better than going to see a doctor!!!
I always have to back off of my practice due to wrist pain. I’ll give these a try!
Thank you for the information, very needed, have a nice day, XO from Honduras
Thank you!!! I so needed this tutorial. Knee pain next please!
Oh my goodness!! I finally got what I was doing wrong with my hands after all this time! I’ve had so many yoga instructors tell me to use all 10 fingers to grip the ground and I never got it till you said “make a suction cup out of the palm”. I had to stop the video and thank you! You are just the best ❤️
Thank you!! I also had a rotator cuff issue and when that healed, a cist grew right at my wrist joint. I have missed yoga for over two years and thanks to you I am back!
This is so what I need I have an injury in my hand which has lead to overcompensating and now I’ve injured my elbow… of course I would love more of these. I keep trying g too soon, as there isn’t a bunch of hands free avail so I keep havi g to start at the beginning thank you for all your work!!
Amazing! I have been doing yoga on and off for several years, but never once really thought about my wrists in this way. Great!
Dear Kassandra please give us another shoulder free but not too easy yoga practice..I had problems with the warrior poses. But otherwise it was fantastic. thank you for this wonderful video
Thank you so much! These modifications were amazing. I’d pretty much given up vinyasa and hatha yoga because of RSS strain in my wrists, really excited that I can take these to any yoga class I go to now!
OMG beautiful woman giving magic healing I can use my hands again after 3 months of suffering from carpal tunnel pain!
Thanks Adriene I love you ❤️
each and every video of yours is amazing. clear perfect instructions, not excessive talking, perfect pace, a perfect combination of relaxation and workout that leaves us sweating makes you one of the best instructors on youtube. thanks aton for helping us remain fit body and mind during these challenging times. Go bless you.
Thanks so much, Britt! This was so great for my wrists and I intend to repeat! I’m looking forward to the neck practice next-I’m your fan, now!
As someone with chronic injuries from various sports this session I discovered joyfully. Hope there are more. Thank you
I have an injured rotator cuff and this was perfect for me to do and not irritate the shoulder. I’ll be using it regularly!
Thank you so much Adrienne. You’re a lifesaver. I have been having wrist pain for a month now and I tried so many stretching videos but none of them worked. But I did this practice for two days and my wrists feel so much better. I was so scared that it was going to hurt like hell when you asked us to do the downward dog. But it didn’t. Wow. A lot of love for you. You’re amazing
Really enjoy the practices with you. Would love some wrist free hour long ones as well. Thanxxxx
Been having a dodgy TFCC and used this video mainly in fixing that after doing it every day for about 2 weeks my wrist is happy to support my bodyweight again without pain, still a little off but certainly better and it’s restored a lot of the forearm muscle I lost during the injury. Taught me a great deal about how much I was abusing my hands when I did press ups too and I’m back to doing all my other exercise, including holding weights just fine. Glad I had the patience to take proper care of it. Definitely reccommended for mild TFCC problems/ulnar wrist pain
Thank you for this! I am heartened that I can resume yoga practice after tweaking my shoulder.
I am SO happy that you created this video! I recently started feeling a sharp pain in my wrist (especially when Planking or doing downward dog). It helps to know that this can be common and that there are ways to prevent it and heal it!! <3 <3
This is beyond necessary!! Thank you for another phenomenal video!! ❤️
Hello, good day to everyone ❣
Could you please make a video about inner elbow pain from chaturanga? I am a beginner in yoga, I fell in love with your videos! But I think.. I overdo it! (3 times a day yoga practice)
Please help❣
What an interesting practice. I felt the most work being done in the palm section below my thumb. I wonder if I have a weakness in the section. I am intrigued to see what happens next when I do these poses during the other practices. Much Gratitude!
My wrists could definitely feel the love. The feel so much better 10 out of 10!
This was sweet. I am in my 60s and I love to practice yoga. For those of us that experience arthritic pain in our wrists and shoulders, this flow was DELICIOUS! Thanx and Namaste
This is fantastic! I have carpal tunnel in both my hands, so doing even simple poses like down dog or plank end up turning into a battle with my wrists and hands. I got so much more out of the poses when I didn’t have to focus on wrist pain!
Thank you for this! I had surgery in my left wrist and I think I would’ve been better off not having it. They messed up nerves and I can’t put any pressure in that wrist, not to mention i tend to get tendinitis in that wrist aswell, so this will help me get back into yoga.
This was so gentle but so effective at the same time! Love it!
As a student pianist who has been struggling with hand related issues for months, these stretches are the first instantly beneficial exercises I have found after copious research as well as physical therapy. I was just struggling with pain, which is why I popped online For some alternative help, and I was blessed find this video. Thank you thank you thank you, you’ve just open a door for me.
Adriene, I have been inactive for years due to some chronic pain (sciatica from herniated disk and bad knee), and I’m in my 20s. I have yearned a connection with my body my whole life and I finally got a glimpse of hope after doing your 30-day challenge from 2013 I believe. I moved on to Yoga Camp after that, so I can continue my daily yoga with your daily challenges. I am finally beginning to feel strong for the first time. I have a knot in my throat writing that. I am endlessly grateful. Anyway! The reason I commented on this video is because I do believe I did something to my wrist by being stubborn and forcing it during Lion Pose, which is the opposite of what you always recommend, and I have had severe Carpal Tunnel pain for 3-4 days now so I am wearing a brace day and night but I am worried I am weakening it. I tried doing the first 15 mins of the video (with a lot of fear because I do not want to overdo it) but I am not sure if its directed to my actual situation where I am experiencing wrist pain doing nothing, not only only while doing Yoga. It seems like a video to avoid getting to the situation that I am in. I had to stop doing the Yoga Camp challenge since the pain started but I do not want to give up and I am not sure about what I should be doingstretching my wrist and putting pressure on it like the suggested poses, or just continue resting it and risk it weakening? Not sure if you will read this, but no harm in trying!
Thank you so much!! This is exactly the practice I needed today
In all my months (since last spring, I think) doing your yoga videos, I did this one because of CARE, which I’m only mostly following along with. This session was a fantastic learning and practicing experience.
Over the many years I’ve been doing yoga, I’ve had many instructors in & out of studio. I appreciate that each teacher uses different analogies and explanations for posts. Last fall, something you said in one of your videos CHANGED my downward dog, and it relates to this video: You used the “pickle jar” analogy for rotating the arms. It was an “ah ha” moment.
A couple of years ago, another yoga teacher on YouTube got my forward bends closer to the floor with a tiny piece of instruction I’d never heard before.
Although your channel is the one I practice to most often, I sometimes deviate because every instructor offers something different and helps me deepen my practice in a different way. You’re all amazing. (Except the instructors who aren’t and surprisingly, I’ve only had bad instructors in-class rather than on YouTube where anyone can upload a yoga video.)
Morning! I often follow your online tutorials and this morning, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you! Whatever I need, I can find it on your channel. From specific exercises like here focusing on wrists (ouch!) to more general sequence like the morning sunrise sequence a search brings up something useful, calming, restorative. It’s always a joy, life-giving, relaxing and useful experience. Content and style really just excellent.
So, once again, huge thanks and please keep going!
As I have POTS I really dislike downward dog or any poses that put my head upside down. Would be really awesome to have some routines that mindfully avoid those poses.
Thank you Adriene for bringing a smile to me each day, you rock!
Good practice. Can’t believe I’ve never done this one before!
This video really helped. Thank you so much Adriene! I love how you have video’s on everything and you explain it so good. And you remind us that it is for us and it is okay to experiment and not be the best but just listen to your body. I am learning more about yoga and my own body everyday being stuck at home these days. But you help me set my intention and get the most out of the day with these video’s! Thank you so much ❤
Wow I didn’t even realise how much I strayed from my foundation until I started this video, thanks Adriene I needed to circle back to my wrist and strengthen them, hope everyone had a lovely practice and Namaste Everyone
Yes! I slept in a brace last night because my carpal tunnel is flaring + woke up so tight! Did this practice + feel so much better. Thank you!
i came to this video after having to quit my hiit workout halfway through because my wrists were hurting too much. when you said the thing about losing patience in the beginning, i literally burst into tears because i didn’t realize how frustrated i was getting at the wrist pain. thank you for this practice.
Just THANK YOU. I thought id have to change of career because of my wrist problem. But I feel improvement since the very next day I did your practice. You’re a magician.
I’m in my third trimester with twins and I have pregnancy carpal tunnel, so finding workouts I can do is getting harder and harder! Thank you so much for creating this video!!!
I was diagnosed with Parkinsons Young Onset 3 years ago and I love Yoga with Adriene. I am fairly active and currently still work since I am only 51 years old. I have learned so much about this disease but what I have noticed is there isnt a lot of choices for exercise programs for young onset as there is for seniors. Can Adriene create something along those lines? Some of the major symptoms is rigidity. I am currently doing 30 day yoga challenge. Thanks a million! By the way we were just watching TV and a commercial came on with different people exercising online and my daughter said “I just saw Adriene” (like she knew her 😉
Thank you so much for this. I suffer from lymphoedema following breast cancer and started back to yoga yesterday. I couldn’t do any pose in class as all required weight bearing on the arms. I was so looking forward to going back to yoga class but reality hit me hard. Thank you for mush for this video and opening up a new world of healing for me. Much love to you. xoxox
BIG Thank you for doing a hands free yoga session. LOVE it! Please bring more.
Adriene, I must say I really enjoy your videos. Been to my first yoga class this past weekend. I do resonate with one commentor before me saying there’s a competitive element in a group class (could be from the teacher flowing the class or from people around me who remember the moves better lol). So I do find myself enjoying your videos so much more now. You’re a great teacher with an ever better vibe. Love from Malaysia ❤️
Thank you so much, Adriene. In this time of social distancing and coronavirus, I’ve relied heavily on the benefits that yoga bring my mind and body. When I started feeling wrist pain, I thought it would be the final thing that brought me to tears. This video helped with my awareness so much. I love all your videos, but finding this today felt like a real blessing.
This class was beautiful and kind. An intractable shoulder injury kept me from practicing, a tortuous hardship. Thank you. Subscribed right after I finished. Any more in the works maybe longer?
Love this! I’ve had surgery on both wrist 10 and 9 years ago and so pleased to see this! Thank you again Adriene you are so caring and wonderful! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I had first one Frozen shoulder and now the other one is affected too and this workout has literally been the only one I can do without having to modify half of the postures… thank you so much!!! ❤
Did you make another one of this kind in the meantime?
I have carpel tunnel in both wrists. I wear braces at night to sleep. Im sure doing any extra strenth exercises would be helpful.
Just something you might want to look into. I really think the ‘sleezy dance video’ advertisements that ask if people are ‘tired of doing yoga’ is a) not targeted to the correct audience and b) in direct competition with your services. Not sure if this is something you have any say in or can/want to control but just thought it was worth stating in case it’s something you aren’t aware of that is occurring (for me at least) in the middle of your videos (which are amazing btw) my husband and I do your complete program everyday now:) peace and love.

Your love and light is a true gift to this world Juliana and Mark. I have struggled with wrist pain for years, because of nerve damage. Thank you so much for the tips!
OMG amazing! The change in awareness really made my down dog easier x
This gave me a real “ah-ha!” moment, should be required viewing for any yoga beginners! Down dog felt 100x better after following this, gonna make a big difference in my 30
day challenge.
I cannot straighten my thumbs, that’s crazy I never realised, something I will be working on
thanks for this…I injured the top of my shoulder doing too many push up in a yoga class and it is still not healed…I need to rest it.
day 51, i wish this was day 1, i pull my thumbs in all the time, and will work on this in every day to come!
Thank you so much for uploading a hand free practice!! I suffer from a rather complicated wrist injury so that video is a lifesaver for me!
Wish you all the best ☺️
I am just starting my yoga journey and struggle with wrist issues (piano for years, sign language through college, dog grooming after). Is it unusual to have one hurt more or have a harder time taking the pressure off of it? My dominant hand/wrist is driving my nuts and cramps up when I try to stretch it all out, can’t seem to push down between my thumb and index either.
My wrists have been hurting for months now and I’ve just been icing them. Found this video out and my wrist doesn’t hurt. I don’t know why it took me so long to find this video when I do yoga with Adrienne all the time.
I am so grateful to have found your video! I injured my arm and shoulder recently and have been issuing my daily yoga vinyasa flow. This is a satisfying replacement. I wish is was longer, maybe add more core, but other than that. I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you!
I get strange pains in my arms hands and wrists.!!! It is awfull. I hope this can help me. Thankyou.!!!
The thumb caving in was shocking to me! I have never noticed it before and even though I have been doing yoga for a while when I actually tried to follow step by step everything you said, I realised how much fire (good fire) I felt with really trying to push the fleshy part to the ground. Need to keep coming back to this practice
I came here with the expectation that I’d get wrist pain. Instead, my wrists are completely fine. Did anyone else experience not getting wrist pain from this video? It is Yoga For Wrist Pain, right?
Love this vid! So useful also for pole dance for me, which is also very hard on the wrists as you hold your body weight often only on the arms, demanding more of the wrists.
Thanks for the nice lesson. I am struggling with tenosynovitis on my forearm but the rest of the body was asking for some exercise.
Yes! I have been wearing carpal tunnel wrist braces at night for a year and this brought my wrists a lot of relief today. They feel much happier! Thank you, Brett!
Thank you so much, this helped my wrist pain almost immediately and is now part of my daily stretching.routine.
I was experiencing wrist pain doing yoga and I asked my osteopath who noticed I have small elbow hyperextension. She recommended not going to the full extension when doing yoga which would strengthen the muscles and it totally worked…it’s been over 6 months now and no more pain! (I would have never said I had hyperextension as it’s not a lot) Hope this helps! Thank you Juliana & Mark for all you do and share!!
Rave! Rave! Excellent video (I really enjoy listening to you!)
I cannot wait to try this. I have been away from yoga for so long due to severe wrist pain. Thank you!
Where are your yoga leggings/pants from, they are amazing! x
Hi Adriene, you are awesome!! I wanted to share something that I learned from my physiotherapist, who is also awesome:), that when you are doing the starfish suction is to think of it like you are catching a little frog
Wow! suddenly DFD went smoothly:) No preassure on the wrist, and lessser pressure on the back of the ankles
If you dislocate your shoulder easily, be careful with the last pose! Do not push your injured shoulder into the ground as it will dislocate it.
I came here searching for no shoulder yoga, as I haven’t went to surgery yet and have an old injury, so my left shoulder gets out easily, especially in that position.
Thanks for the workout!
Thank you!! I love your videos, but damn…sometimes I cannot handle how wrist intensive they are. I often modify to my elbows when I get tired. I’m happy I found this video so I can keep up with you in the future!:)
yes:)
I had an operation on my hand 2 weeks ago en I did this wrist stretches very gentle and it feels good! Thank you Brett x
Hello can you maybe make a video if you are suffering from knee pain? That would be really nice
First time I could do my practice in a couple of years without pain in my wrists. Thanks for the options for wrist-free yoga. I am happy to be able to follow it!
February CARE! I love this practice! I fractured my right wrist a decade ago and it’s never been quite the same since. I never really had any idea that I could do anything to help it until now, so thank you!
Love this session! The background music is like a bonus. Thank you so much Kassandra. I have subscribed your channel and this flow is by far my biggest favourite!
This was great for my body, sparing my injured arm from pressure, and still giving me a good work out. Thank you!☺️
If you are having carpal tunnel or too much pain in the arms and hands and you aren’t being able to do this video just do RICE, rest ice compression and elevation then when your better you can try again
For Day 21 of CARE, this practice was quite a challenge for this arthritic yogi! My hands and wrists are perhaps my most discomfort but with all your therapeutic practices I tried my best because I know from experience they really do work for me. I had to be mindful and breathe through and take breaks but afterwards I feel a lovely looseness and no pain. I shall try to concentrate more on my hands in downward dog and put your advice into practice. It’s those little refinements that make all the difference ♀️♀️
bought a set of yoga jellies at the Toronto Yoga convention this past weekend. They are fabulous! I’ve got arthritis in my left knee and the jellies enable me to hold my poses better and longer. For downward dog the jellies gives me extra leverage on my wrists and am able to go deeper into the pose. I am still exploring the uses and found some of your suggestions interesting and will try them. I highly recommend this product for anyone!
I had the worst wrist pain tonight (it has increased after a couple of days) and couldn’t sleep! Your video helped me find relief. Thank you!!
WholeHealth team did this as our virtual team yoga practice this morning as one of us has sore wrists. This was still a challenging and complete practice perfect for everyone. Thank you.
I had been avoiding yoga because my wrists couldn’t take it. This was right on time!
Hi, just in case any of you are not convinced I was so not a Yogi five years ago when I started my daily practise. I almost gave up thinking I was just too old (35:)) and arthritis was kicking in. I continued my practise with modifications and I now have no wrist. Believe in your body and how powerful it is. Proceed with caution and you’ll get there. x
your energy is so lovely and encouraging, thank you for being amazing and inspiring
And what can I do about the back pain in the lumbar region while doing a downward dog just after a upperdog?
Hi I just wanted thank you for this class. I tripped after yoga and fractured my right humerus in 4 places. Not being able to do yoga as I can’t use my right arm currently has been frustrating to say the least. Now out of sling and doing rehab, and just did this for the first time, it was awesome. Namaste
Thank you! My wrist has been sore for a week and I’ve missed doing yoga.
On Day 21 of Care 2019 My favorite part was standing on my hands. It felt so good!
Thanks Juliana these wrists exercises are so useful as I do have wrists pain after my Yoga workouts. Keep it up ♥
Thank you! Been avoiding yoga due to wrist pain, and this was so helpful!
I’ve had wrist pain for 2 months now and I never realized how my thumb caves in during my poses. Thanks so much!
Thank you this was just the yoga flow I needed falling arm surgery!
Please do some yoga videos to strengthen the arms and shoulder… I find them a lot in instagram… I’m disappointed that I don’t get it from you.. please do some videos to strengthen the upper body
Hello! Do you have any yoga for tilted hips and sacrum pain? My Dr. advised me to do core yoga and it has helped but a lot of on the floor movements hurt. My hips are tilted 7mm (confirmed by an x-ray) and I’d like to get were I can sit on the floor again. I had a traumatic birth two years ago in May, I had a 10ib baby naturally.
I would love to see a partner yoga class . ( You could invite Kassandra Reinhardt )
I love this video! I tried yoga multiple times and enjoyed it, but I had to stop practicing once I started to experience extremely painful wrist pain. This video took all that pain away and I was able to practice like I used to. Thanks you so much! The flow feels very natural and leaves me super relaxed.
I love this no hand flow. Recently I injured my arm so I have to take time out on doing my usual practice. This is a really satisfying session. I’d love to see more of these.
Plus you’re an awesome yoga teacher.
I’ve used your classes almost everyday for the past year
Yes! Wow Brett that felt great!! Was SO in need of something like this for my hands/wrists. Especially now, working from home, 8 hours/day, I’m not able to sit & type the same as when in the office. My wrists and fingers feel better. Thank you!! Stay safe, stay healthy, much love and light to you ❤♀️
I’d love a video like this for people with hip injuries (where for example happy baby’s pose and eye of the needle is impossible).
Thanks so much for this yoga video! I broke my arm a few weeks ago, and this was perfect, I could almost do all of it.
This is so satisfying to still be able to flow with a broken arm thank you!!! perfect balance of envigorating and yet not too strenuous! ✨❤️
Great class for an injured wrist. I appreciate it. I’m just wondering why you don’t end with a savasana.
Well, for me it got worse ans worse. Didn’t get better with time at all.
I used to do a ‘power’ type of yoga and running 5/8 miles. It had been a while though (both) and was hesitant to pick it up again. (Even prior to injury.) I’ve been wearing a cast for 9 weeks now and feeling awful in general. I decided there was no excuse for getting no exercise at all at this point. So I figured going for a run. But that is ‘a thing’. Then I saw my yoga mat. And started googling. Yoga is what I wanted. Was surprised to find a session for the body and yet avoiding(!) the wrist. (And not an exercise to strengthen wrist.) Long story short, I didn’t even bother to change clothes. Just wanted to join in when I was watching. Half way I found myself crying. I have no idea why. Maybe tension, maybe relief, maybe relaxation instead of a work out. Thank you so much. Not sure if there is more like this, but this has been the best gift (for my mind and body) in last weeks. Thank you soo much. (Coming from a introvert.)
I’d like to see you stretch your fingers backwards from a different angle. Like do your fingers bend past 90 degrees? Can you bring your finger nails to the back of your hand?
Brett, you are a genius. This class came at the perfect time for me. I’ve just saved this so I can do it regularly. Namaste
Thank you. My wrists are feeling more at ease. Apart from my yoga and walking, I am a writer, so my wrists do need a lot of attention. i was only thinking the other day, I should do something for them and now I have these exercises……
I’ve been finding it difficult to engage with this style of yoga because my upper body strength isn’t great but this class was perfect for me! It was challenging but doable, thank you!
Wonderful flow. I gave blood this morning and didn’t want to strain my arms or go upside down. This was perfect. A class designed for post-blood donation specifically would be awesome!
I have tendinitis in one of my wrists so I haven’t done yoga in a while. Thank you for this
I have pain in ny hands and shoulders from a car accident I was in forever ago. This is exactly what I need for when it flairs up (or to hopefully prevent those flair ups!).
Just what I needed!! Thank you! Will definitely try these stretches and exercises! You guys are amazing
46 days and I’m still learning and still loving it, also nice to see something a little different. Where’s Benji?
Thank you. I really enjoyed that. Great to do when watching TV etc. Can you please do a video on shoulder opening for beginners/intermediates please?
Hi Kassandra, I just wanted to thank you for producing this video. I’ve been using your videos for my daily practise for the last 9 months or so but I recently had open heart/lung surgery in December due to blood clots etc and at the moment cannot lift much weight or put pressure on my sternum so this video has been a great alternative and a good way for me to get back into yoga which I’ve missed! I love your videos and can’t wait to be able to do my first downward dog again. Namaste Sara
Whew can’t believe I’ve waited so long to try this sweet short class!! So necessary with all of the computer and phone time!! Thank you!!
dear Juliana, so great to listen to you! it would be so amazing if you could make a video once telling us where you buy your yogapants:-) sending you thanks and flowers and a hug over the ocean
It would be really awesome if you can share a practice for upper arm pain..
You are amazing!! I just started practicing yoga and I’m suffering with wrist pain. I’ll try those exercises!! And thanks to encourage me not to give up because I am enjoying a lot your classes♀️
So gratefull for this practice. I have an elbow injury. Thanks.
Thank you! I have been doing yoga daily for 5 months and recently injured right arm…just determined to keep yoga in my life!
in a sling from shoulder surgery so this was a really nice flow. Couldn’t do anything on my stomach but did other asanas targeting legs at those times. Thank You!!
My wrists feel great but the bicep stretches were awesome!! So great, definately will do them more often -namaste:)
Whether you have a wrist injury or just want to take it easy on your joints, this hands free flow is a wonderful way to change up your practice! Did you like this class? Let me know by leaving a comment below!

That was brilliant! The hands free approach felt great, thank you very much!
Thank you thank you! I really needed this, majority of the time when I have to take a break it’s because of wrist pain, I also work on the computer all day, so I think this will really be helpful for wrist pain from that too!
What an excellent refreshing yoga lesson! I can’t wait to get on my mat and work on this! Thank you… Namaste.
Could this be done daily or is it better to wait a day or two in between yoga sessions?
Thank you Cassandra. So happy I found this flow as I heal a shoulder injury.
Where do you get the background music for your videos from? I always find it extremely relaxing and would like to hear more. These wrist exercises are great btw. I’m always having problems with my wrists and I think these will help. Thank you.
I love you guys and your channel so much!! I’m a yoga newbie and have only just discovered your channel. Every question/problem I have you already have a video for. love your ethos, sending love and light to you both
Thank you so so much!, my wrist starts hurting so much since we are on a lockdown ( stock up on household supplies and food) … it’s painful!, I will do this everyday.❤️
My wrists feel so much better after just 1 time doing your video. I have so much trouble with my wrists, putting too much pressure on them doing plank, downward dog etc. I also suffer from numb hands every morning. Will be doing this video daily. Thanks so much!!!
I spend a lot of time on the computer because of my job so I really appreciate this practice <3
Game. Changer. Definitely one to put on repeat namaste
Thank you so much. I sprained my wrist over the weekend and thought I would have to give up yoga for a while..your guidance is great and complete no need to keep looking at the screen or put weight on my left wrist. This will be my go to place. Thank you again
I discovered your channel today while looking for a hands-free practice. I followed along this video since my upper body was sore from moving yesterday. It felt great. Very clear and easy to follow instructions. I liked that you kept it strictly instructions and no talking about other things during the practice. I will definitely check out more of your videos in the next days:-)
This was amazing!! I don’t have any injury but it seemed like a good idea and I felt huge love during the whole class!!!
thank you for this video! I have recently injured my shoulder and triceps on one side and was really frustrated not to be able to work out at all.. and here I go, thanks to you!
I have a sore elbow at the moment and I’m trying not to put any pressure on it for a few weeks, so this flow was amazing! I hope you’ll make more like this one and maybe longer too. ❤️
Hi Adriene, do you have some exercise for elbow pain (golfer’s and tennis elbow)? Thank you.:)
Lauren, you’re AWESOME. I found your post knee surgery video, and now this one I need both since I broke both my left knee and left radius/wrist. I’m finally feeling, after watching these, that I can start slowly getting some flexibility again I’m middle-aged and was wondering how I was ever going to get back to gentle yoga flows. Now, thanks to you, I can! Blessings and Namaste!
Thanks for the video! I hurt my arms during the ski yesterday and this is exactly what I needed!
BTW, the background music was so sad and Kassandra herself seemed so tired in the video. It made it difficult for me to follow the practice. I figured out how important her positive vibes are!
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful flow! I had a breast surgery a week ago and also my armpit is swollen. Now I‘m able to practice again and taking care at the same time. Namaste!
OMG! I’ve had awful wrist issues for months! This felt amazing & I will be doing this class often!
My favorite video that you have made so far thank you!! I have been suffering from wrist pain since starting yoga 5 years ago and not a single teacher explained how to deal with it as you just have!
Great video! My wrist is a little unstable right now and I wonder why there aren’t more of these types of videos. We need education about how to work around particular body injuries.
Thank-you! The finger stretches were the most intense for me!
Having just broken my left wrist and knowing how powerful words and images can be, may I humbly suggest you rephrase your beginning comment of “giving our wrists a break?” Perhaps “giving our wrists the love and attention they are so worthy of receiving” is a better way to restore Energy to our wrists.
Thank you so much! Having an injury and finding this is great, this will help me a lot to keep up with motivation during my rehab!!!
Thank you so much for this practice Kassandra! I had a hand surgery last week, and this practice was perfect for me!!!!!!
What do you mean with engaging the core? Do you have to tighten the core?
love your classes Adriene, practicing your wrist class every day and beginning to feel an improvement.Thank you
My wrists are in a constant pain because of my very loyal ganglion cyst, so I have to modify everything I do. I liked your video except the last sequence starting with the happy baby pose created pain. I don’t know how it is for other people, but pulling my wrists also hurts. So any pose where you have to support a limb with a wrist, or… hold on to a limb with my hands (hence wrist pulling) is painful. Just to give you an idea, I would LOVE it if you had time to do anything video with some poses with zero wrist involvement… Thank you:)
This was such an amazing practice that I NEEDED! I’m looking forward to integrating it into my home practice!
Helpful product but ridiculously overpriced. That’s simple colored silicone poured into a mold. So what if it’s poured in by hand in up-town New York? The price tag is an outrageous rip off
I recently had chest surgery and so am currently under a ban from lifting my arms above my head but thank you so much for this! I’ve been dying to do some sort of exercise after surgery and this video was the first I found that needed little to no modification so my surgeon doesn’t get on my butt for disobeying medical orders. thanks so much!!
Thank you! My right hand has been bothering me but it feels a bit better!
Nice flow, but this is not for beginners/elderly/weak/injured. 40 sec long dolphin followed by forearm plank is not doable by most beginners or even some Level 1 studio practitioners. It’s a helpful sequence, but maybe you should clarify the title of the video. (I am looking for a video for an old, injured, out of shape person. It would take a year to reach the level of this video) Thanks!
I’ve been doing your videos for a solid year now, and for some reason I started having bad wrist pain recently. It was so good to know that doing it on your fists is actually okay! I had done that intuitively, just because I didn’t want to be on my elbows, and still wanted to hold all the postures. Thank you so much for beautiful yoga practices and great advice! Absolutely love Boho Beautiful! <3
Thank you so much for this class! I am currently 2 weeks post-op after a broken elbow, and this flow makes me feel like myself again:*
I’m going to include this in my yoga routine. Thank you for this.
Hi there! I’m a retired dental hygienist and my wrists hurt with certain movements let alone yoga or Pilates classes. I can’t wait to start trying this tomorrow! Thank you so much for your continued relaxing soul soothing classes❤️
This video has divine timing!!! I really struggle with my wrists and it has held me back from consistently getting on my mat for a very long time. I have a brand new mat I have not unpacked yet and was just thinking yesterday I would love to start practicing daily.. THANK YOU
Thank you so much! me and my tennis elbow injury love this practice:D
Adriene, you are an angel. I have repetitive motion injury in my wrists from drumming and this video has been a savior of mine. As much as it may hurt at times in the video, by the end I feel warmed up and nearly pain free. Thanks for all you do.
Hope you could make a video how to deal with runner knee or heal knee injury
Hi Adrienne,
I am looking for videos that are gentle for the ankles, especially after injuries. I saw you had a lot of without hand yoga but way less option if you have ankle or feet pain.
But thank a lot for you video they are awesome!
Awesome practice! I have crippled tunnel these days and this is just what I needed. Thank you and Namaste
thank you for this. i have a bad left shoulder over a dozen shoulder surgeries. anyways thank you. love yoga gave it up and getting my confidence back again, this video really helped with that. ty…
I have EDS with bad wrist instability so this was really helpful and less painful than normal yoga for me. Thank you
My wrist joints have started swelling intermittently after doing yard work, yoga, and other wrist-intensive activities. This was the most challenging yoga video for me! I’m hoping these mindful wrist care techniques make a difference, but I’m honestly worried I’m just seeing the first signs of arthritis. I’d love to see some more no-hands yoga practices, for the times when the swelling is bad. I see myself putting these techniques into practice any time I do yoga going forward, but I’d still like more yoga options for when plank and down dog are just not in the cards.
Hi everyone. So this evening I have done Head & Heart Reset + 7 min yoga for Runners (although am not a runner) + this video for the wrists (much needed). Thank you, Thank you, thank you dear Adriene it all felt really good
Wonderful class. Enjoyed keeping pressure off the heads and wrists.
You are the best. Thank you. I couldn’t dare to make long exercises or some exercises which are including longer planks because of my weak wrists. And I am always worried about my wrists to get hurt because I twisted my left wrist when I was studying karate. Now, I am going to try these daily and see the results. Maybe I will be able to stay at planks as till my abs and upper arms start to exhaust instead of my wrists.
I love having you talk through this video live. You usually voice over your classes which I also love but for some reason, this feels so personal. Thank you for this tutorial! You continue to be an inspiration! Namaste
She says ‘mates’ and ‘bum’, she gives you a cheeky knowing look when she might or might not be making a knob joke……Adriene, are you secretly English?:D
Thanks for this practice today, I think I might have De Quervain’s tendonitis in the base of my thumb on my left hand (which I write with), which is flaring up today, I was a bit sceptical at first about whether this could help me but it does feel a bit better. Adriene strikes again.:) Thank you & keep safe!:) Namaste x
Thanks! i have a question… I have had a R knee replacement and can’t get into it. Do you have in all poses that are knees any ideas for changes. Plus even if I was to lay on the bed to do childs pose I can no longer get my body near my butt. Is that my knee or tight everything flexors. I know I am super tight as get groin pain and down front on r thigh. Sorry for asking but have been meaning to and since my hands are going to sleep at night, this interested me. Oh thanks for neck poses too, I am 62 and need them!
i get shoulder pain…what can I do to prevent that or fix this?
Yes I found this to be very beneficial and a healthy yoga workout. I fractured my wrist 2 weeks ago. Besides the pain etc, in a cast now, I was also disappointed because I wasn’t able to do the last 2 days of the 30 day Yoga Movement Challenge of April 2020. I found this one and did it instead. Thank you Kassandra. I’ve been practicing Yoga for over 40 years and finding most of your classes to be just right for me.
Great flow! I have shoulder tendonitis and this was perfect because I put almost no pressure on my shoulders:) Thank you!
Thank you so much for this class! I broke my wrist 2 wks ago. Love the slower pace as it allows me the time to figure out how to get into & out of the poses safely in a way that doesn’t hurt. I modified the arms as needed, because having the broken side hanging down too much builds too much pressure in my cast. I really liked your music it was calming. I will repeat this class often!
could you try this with a cast on your wrist? I appreciate no full body weight on my wrists, but a broken wrist means there’s a lot more I can’t do couldn’t hold any part of my body for example. disappointed because this is the only video I found that says it’s for broken wrists, not just RSI, carpal tunnel etc, but I couldn’t actually do it.
Thank you I need it so much! I got operated of a wristle cyste a few years ago, but as a graphic designer it’s really what i need ❤️
Thank you so much for this beautiful flow. I’m struggling with frozen shoulder for the last 9 months and am missing my practice. But now that I am almost pain free I can begin to work on freeing up the joint and improve movement.
I’m a professional guitarist and rack about 30+ hours/week with my hands and fingers around a fretboard. This video is seriously the absolute “hands down” best thing I’ve ever done for my playing. I’ve never been able to play so well until I found this. Thanks!!!!
thank you so much for this!! really enjoyed it since my left wrist is a little jacked up.. i appreciate the background music:) would really love if you stayed with us till the end of shavasana.. thanks again! <3
I broke my hand this week and am very grateful for this. Thank you, lovely sequence
Ahhh I’ll feel this tomorrow! I have generally built up my wrist strength and hardly get any pain anymore but this still worked my hands and wrists like I was back at the start of my journey… In a good way. Back to basics. Back to strengthening those building blocks!
This was very helpful. Can you do a video like this for elbows? I still struggle with pushups and chatarunga
I am super excited about trying these exercises. I had been doing so well with my yoga practice but had to call it quits for a while due to wrist pain. I am ready to get back to it, but this time around I will use these tips. Thanks so much Juliana!
Good to know about the carpet and thick yoga mat. Thank you! These stretches are great, my wrists feel better already
Thanks for including some wrist-free practices! I’ve had an ongoing shoulder injury and most practices just aren’t feasible for me right now. It’s really nice to continue my practice without exacerbating my shoulder.
This video is my jam. My left shoulder is in bad shape. I think it is most likely a rotator cuff tear and at the very least tendinitis. I am on a mission. I have done yoga every day for 99 straight days and this is the only video I have found that allows me to feel like I’m getting a full yoga practice in and it puts zero force on my left shoulder. I’m probably going to be doing this video every day for the next month to see if my shoulder starts feeling better. Kassandra, you are the bomb. Thank you so much!
Finally a product that will help me and especially in my KNEES! I’ll be ordering me a pair ASAP!
my net is slow today but this won’t stop me I wil let this video play so It can work easier later on hacks can’t wait to do day 21 yoga and I don’t beleive I have being doing yoga regulary wooooow
Thanks for the video! Julianna do you have a wrist free routine? If not yet would be great to have one
I can’t tell you how grateful I am for this exercise. I have a second degree burn on my right palm and haven’t done yoga in a month in fear of injuring it further. This was just what I needed. Thank you so, so much. <3 <3 <3
I’ve tried so many videos for wrist stretches and this is the best by far! Thank you!
I’m bookmarking this to do every night! I work in social media, a barista and am an artist so I’m always using my hands and wrists to the point they hurt. This is heaven.
Wow, thank you so much! I used to love yoga, but have had several shoulder surgeries and thought I would have to give it up. I have done this flow 5 days now and I feel amazing!
This was so helpful and really made my wrists feel better. Thanks so much!
Another amazing video Kassandra♀️. ❤️ everything u have done for so many yoga enthusiasts
Can you do another one of this hands free flows? Especially strength building? Taking a break from vinyasa while my wrists heal. Love your work as always!!
I didn’t think I’d be able to practice today with wrist pain, but YogaTX always has what I need. Thanks!
I needed this so desperately! I have been thinking about wrist pain and what to do about it a TON lately! This couldn’t have come at a better time. Thank you so much for all of your incredible workouts! I know you both work so hard on Boho Beautiful! You are very, very appreciated. ♥️
I’ve known in the back of my mind that I haven’t been using the hands effectively in weight-bearing poses over the short time I’ve been practicing with you, so it was a joy to find that you have a video for it. You really have a video for everything!
My plank has never been so strong as it was when I was following along with you today. Thank you Adriene.
Finally a workout that I like! I am so sick of the endless downward dogs and planks! Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing! Just what I’ve been looking for.
This was so perfect for me today. My wrists have been suffering from neglect and pulling too hard when I SUP. Thank you so much.
Thank you for this awesome video. It really was a great workout for my arms and wrists
I always have wrist issues, this is exactly what I need today thank you
What variation do you suggest for up dog, I have pain on the back of my hand:(
My arms are sore from your Vin to Yin practice yesterday… So this one’s perfect!
That was AMAZING! I’ll be doing this regularly. Thank you!
thank you so much for this video! I have RA and I love yoga but wrist pain slows down my practice. Can you please do a video about foot pain.
Wow it’s nice to hear you speak on live instead of voiceover! Love your videos.
Hi dear Brett wow cool I did this outside after my CAPOERIA practice it’s raining but warm enough to be in nature and doing this awsome sesh with you thanks Namaste
thanks! I also hurt my wrists, they told me it’s because of my neck and stuff, but I can’t do some rutines, thanks!
Great class! I was going to do a 75-minute virtual live class, was running late, and decided I did not have 75 minutes. I looked online for a 30 minute class, and having prior shoulder injuries, did not want a lot of planks/chaturangas. This class was not too easy/hard or too fast/slow. Just what I was looking for. I usually Take slow flow vinyasa classes. As an instructor, I Teach gentle, gentle/moderate, and yogalates formats. Thanks to Kassandra. Namaste, Laurie
CARE day 21
For the past couple of weeks I’ve felt some discomfort in the wrist and forearms, probably my body is adjusting itself from the yoga practice.
I am thankful for this video!
Namaste.

Hellooo, im new to this channel. Ive started with the beginner video for a couple days and tried to do one of the fat burner episodes. I have had weak wrists and random wrists pain for a few years. Some days i couldnt put any weight on them. So i had to cut that video short, but im glad to find this. Thank you so much for your videos, its so nice and easy for new people to jump in to!
Great detail. Will help with everything else! Including guitar playing. Thanks!
Thank you! I am an art student working on getting into the animation industry. Because of my long history of doing art, my wrists hurt every time I try to do a downward dog. It leaves me frustrated being I am not only pretty young, but it seems almost every yoga routine I find online uses this pose like crazy. I think using this modified version will help me a lot.
Thank you for these hands and wrists videos Adriene! I’ve been suffering from wrist pain lately and these past couple of days doing all your videos for hands and wrists i can already tell how much stronger my wrists have gotten and it is such a relief! Again thank you so much for sharing your time, practice and kindness! Much love! Namaste!
Worth it, but way above my price abilities. Are there more affordable options? my problem is wrists and flat feet, my fiancee has knee spurs and really struggles when I manage to get him to do yoga with me. Makes me wonder if I could use this for my sharp tail bone as well?
