Sweet Potato Noodles With Spicy Peanut Butter Sauce | Quick, Healthy, Gluten-Free Recipe

Preheat oven to 350F. Spiralize each of the sweet potato pieces and put in a bowl to the side. On the stovetop over medium heat, add olive oil and garlic; heat for a minute.
Pour in the pureed tomatoes. Stir and add the oregano, cinnamon, red pepper.Pour the sauce back into the pot, add the sweet potato noodles, and cook over low heat about 5 minutes or until the noodles are cooked, but still al dente.
Meanwhile, sauce.1 tablespoon sesame oil. 1 pinch ground black pepper. 8 ounces Korean sweet potato noodles (dangmyun) 1 egg.
2 cups baby spinach, or more to taste. 1 teaspoon light olive oil.Chop Roma and sun-dried tomatoes and add to the sauce base. Blend into a thick, creamy marinara sauce.
Divide sweet potato noodles into two servings and top with tangy marinara sauce. Garnish with additional red pepper flakes if you wish.11. Pour the almond sauce into the skillet on medium heat immediately followed by the spiralized sweet-potato noodles. 12.
Stir to coat and combine. 13. Cover and allow the sauce and noodles to cook for eight minutes. After eight minutes, stir and taste to see if the sweet potatoes.1 day ago · Boil the water and cook the noodles or pasta for 10-15 minutes or follow the cooking time suggested on the packet.

To make this homemade sweet potato pasta sauce simply, Cook Sweet Potato. Wash and rinse sweet potato. Peel off the skin and chop into small cubes.
Cook the sweet potatoes and tomato in 2 cups of water until soften. Peel off the skin of the tomato. Make Sweet potato puree. In a blender add cooked tomato and sweet potatoes.Stir well and cook for 2 minutes, then add broth and simmer for another 2 minutes to thicken the sauce.
3. Add sweet potato noodles back to the skillet. Stir well to combine and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more, noodle should be still al dente.In a medium bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients. Scrub, peel, and spiralize the sweet potatoes. In a large skillet or dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add sweet potatoes and cook, stirring occasionally, 5-7 minutes, until softened.Puree until very smooth. Heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat.
Add the sweet potatoes; toss in the pan for 6-7 minutes with tongs until tender-crisp. Remove from heat and toss in the spinach – it should wilt pretty quickly. Add half of the herbs and half of the sauce.
Homemade Marinara is such a quick and easy sauce to make. I rarely use ready made jars as I find them far too salty. There is nothing like the freshness of a homemade sauce and best of all this one can be made in advance and kept in a lidded jar in the fridge or frozen. Just double, triple the recipe if you want to make a larger quantity.
Put about a cup of sweet potato noodles on a plate, and top with about 1/2 a cup of the meaty marinara sauce. 3 Heat oil in large skillet, and then add in your.In a medium sauce pan over medium high heat, add diced bacon and saute until crispy {about 4-5 minutes} Remove from pan, set aside. Heat a large saute pan to medium high heat, add 2-3 Tablespoons of olive oil to pan. Next add in sweet potato noodles.
Saute until soft, but still somewhat crisp, stirring on and off.

I didn’t catch (even after a rewatch) if you salted the zucchini noodles first. If you salt them a bit first, they should release some of their water so perhaps it would be a good step prior to air frying? Put them on a towel-lined plate or rack and salt them a bit? Dunno. Just a thought since I’m considering trying to do this one of these days soon.:)
(Of course, you might have to be mindful of how much salt goes into the sauce so you aren’t getting too crazy with the sodium.)

I made something like this one time and used angel hair pasta! It worked really well. I usually am not even a fan of this kind of spaghetti pasta since it is so thin and I like thick noodles but it went well with this dish.

All I want in life is spicy chewy noodles. I have a local Noodle Shop that does some bomb Korean Fire Noodles, but this…this is something unlike anything we have in my area.
Bean sprouts (2cups water+ 1/2tsp salt) on med heat 12min
Chop cabbage, cucumber, carrot
Boil water
2cloves garlic, green onion, 1/3 cup gochujang, 2tbsp rice syrup (1tbsp sugar), 2tbsp apple vinegar, 1tbsp soy sauce, 1tbsp hot pepper flakes
Boil noodles for 5min (10min for sweet potato noodles)
Toss sprouts with carrot+cabbage
Wash noodles WELL, ice them
Toss noodles w sauce, 1tbsp sesame oil, sesame seeds, veggies
Top w cucumber, nori, egg, sesame seeds
Done!

I made this for the first time tonight!
However I didn’t have jjolmyeon noodles or soy bean sprouts, so I substituted it for thin egg noodles, and very thinly sliced white onion.
I was debating on whether to use rice vermicelli or thin egg noodles, and I’m so glad I went with the latter! I also didn’t have nori seaweed, so I cut up some snack seaweed.
It was very chewy, but so nice, spicy, sweet, savoury, slightly sour, but very fresh!
I will definitely be making this again in the future!

I’m sure that’s where a lot of the protein comes from, but we have allergens (nuts including lentils, tree nuts, shellfish, and egg yolks). best way to cook sweet potatoe noodles is to douse them in olive oil, toss them up to cover fully in oil, then spice, salt pepper, italian spices i prefer also, then throw them in casserole dish, bake for 15 to 20 at 300degrees, easy peasey, boiling them ruins them dude.

Hey Monson from a fellow teacher! I have one of the oven-style airfryers that has removable racks. Would you recommend spreading the noodles out on different racks or cooking them all together in a baking dish using lower rack? I was thinking using more than one rack with noodles spread out might have good results without need to toss. Thanks in advance!

Whoa, game changer! I love veggie noodles but don’t always enjoy the texture or the puddle produced when sauced. I can’t wait to try this my mom will be excited, too! She makes a vegan dan dan noodle recipe using beet noodles, we’ll have to experiment with the air fryer for those as well!
Try putting your zoodles on a paper towel and pat them dry with another towel and repeat if needed. This will absorb much of the zucchinni water liquid before cooking or air frying

What a great idea to remove excess moisture. Going to try the air fryer using garlic oil or basil oil. This video was very helpful. Do you think if you first wrap the zucchini in paper towels, it would remove even more moisture???

I’ve never used an air fryer.. wondering where does all the moisture go? Is there a another piece to the fryer that gets rid of the moisture? I’ve seen folks add salt to force the water out of the veggie noodles.. could that work in the fryer as well?
I have a pack of overpriced veg noodles and I’m definitely going to try this.

Looks delicious, I need to get me one of those spiralizers, the one I have is the hand held and don’t think it will cut it for sweet potatoes, at least not with out a killer work out in the process. lol
You really are a great go to channel for more how-to and technique videos rather then straight up recipes. I’d recommend investing in a veggie bullet although there wouldn’t be any leftovers for the dogs.
Spiralized sweet potatoes are one of my favorites! And with a peanut butter sauce? It’s like a healthy pad thai!
