NYT article discussing the economic impact of 'medicare for all' plan, similar to what Bernie Sanders has just introduced.
My first reaction was to scroll to the section "How much would doctors and hospitals and nursing homes be paid?" Some predictions seem to say that medicare would not touch reimbursement rates, other say 9%, which still seems low considering current medicare reimbursements.
Also, I noticed the section "How much more would people use the health care system?" where estimates range from 7% to 15%.
As a medical student, I have come to accept that it is just a matter of time before 'medicare for all' in whatever flavor is ultimately a reality. I am only starting to truly educate myself on the matter. Just looking for some perspective.
