Don’t forget…… you gots to have heart ❤️.
I went to Panama (1974), jungle training.
Recondo school, North Carolina (1974)
Winter warfare training, Watertown, NY. (1975)
Desert warfare training, New Mexico, (1976)
All these schools are not that tuff, but yet…… almost half the men ( all Airborne Paratroopers) don’t make it through.
I can’t imagine the fail rate of these schools that are known to be tuff.
Kudos to all who try and fail, and my hat is off to those who come back and try again and succeed.
I know it’s not easy…… otherwise…… everyone would do it.
IMHO

Bare feet 15 hours walks cross country every weekend with loaded backpack whole on and off new boots
Chilean (Navy) Marines special forces soldiers and Green Berets lo mejor del mundo! jajaja
I´m a mexican mechanical engineer, in field, and almost every day I walk like 8 hours to day, with 40 pounds of equipment, and yes, that type of work make you harder than the normal office guy (besides I train a lot becuase in helps me to relax), no doubt why the soldiers are a tough mofos.
I’ve never heard someone say, “I’m buff.. I can walk for 3 hours to prepare for selection”
Protect your feet. Two pair of socks. One small tight fighting pair. One larger padded pair. Talcum power. Talcum powder…..and more talcum power.
Could I attain my medical degree before becoming part of the CSOF? I plan to join the reserves in a week (I’m 16) and I’d like to get a degree in kinesiology or human physiology then attend medical school. Is this reasonable?
Jock Willink has so much manliness and testosterone, that through the screen, I went from a beta-male to a body builder navy seal just watching this video.
Why do you say “OR” Delta Force selection? Aren’t they special forces too??
Definitely spot on. Do this and live to tell about it. Been there, done that. (HM2 (Corpsman) USN RVN II CORPS-DUC LAP ’70-’71)
I love the way you just get down to business with these videos and don’t sugar coat shit.
I’m 12 and I want to be a navy seal after college and thanks for the helpful tips
leaving for basic training Monday. really wishing i would have enlisted and chose special forces instead
The guys on the left would probably all be down, with the right guy shooting through the windows, right?

I’m sure Delta Selection is a hell of a lot more difficult than just walking and carrying a ruck all day.
This guy loves to hear himself talk.
Some advice solid. Lot total Bravo Sierra.
Go Ranger when ready. Few years in 75th and you’ll be perfect SF and Unit candidate.
Also a perfect video proving shooting skills are perishable not maintained.
Hi sir. Can I ask what aimpoint red dot are you using? Thanks!
your fan from Philippines.
As long as you don’t tread on American citizens it’s all good
Whats a good way to start preparing and guarantee getting into RASP after enlistment? (Im a junior in high school btw)
Dont know If anyone gave this tips but: When you go out hiking you can either pack your standard hiking kit, or fill your backpack with water bottles until they match your desired weight. If it’s to heavy, pour some out, if it’s to light fill some bottles up. Hope someone gets use for this!
My father used to say that the french special force train thugs. You needed to be endurant, therefore skinny. Tests were mostly forced marches/ running. Now, with the kind of protection and equipement soldiers carry, they need to bulk up. This comes to the detriment of endurance and speed.
4:20… those 2 in the office are dead…. also took 14 seconds for the others to come in and kill the guy.
Echo seems to make a lot of references that Jocko can’t relate to… or Jocko responds that Echo’s reference isn’t really a good example of what he’s talking about and then comes up with his own better metaphor…
Brother! Tip #3 you forgot Mole Skin! Invaluable to the grunt in taking care of his feet! But regardless of how great a shape one is upon arrival at selection, blisters will most likely will be a part of the whole experience:-) Best to anyone that is going through selection…but you can never train too much nor too long…and it requires both mental and physical stamina and if you don’t have it to n your heart ❤️ forget it! You will FAIL!!! AGL
The “box” drill is more realistic, than the “x” drill, but both are beneficial. I really wish that I had an endless supply of.223, and 9mm. Unfortunately, I have to train a lot with.22. I’ve got a Taurus TX-22 for a training pistol(great pistol, with the same trigger pull, and reset as my comp gun Canik TP9 SFx). Then I have a CMMG.22 conversion kit for my AR. I actually get a lot of good training use out of both platforms, but NOTHING like using the real stuff. Is anyone else out there in my shoes?
Nothing can quite prepare your body with having weight on your back. We call it a tab across the pond and no matter how many you do, you’ll always get shoulder/back pain from the weight. You just learn how to try cut it out
Hello. Awesome video as always, but I got one question to everybody, how one can anticipate the “height over bore offset”? and how to train for it?
What’s the difference between Special Forces and Delta Force?
Other than show a bias away from muscular recruits, the tips are good. Just saying in SF in my area of the world all shapes and sizes succeed and fail. Body shape has very little bearing.
Say you go 18x, would there be time to practice all these tips through the pipeline?is there gonna be time for yourself or is it non-stop and should do this before even signing for 18x?
I was all ears till he said “hammers”. His viewers would also be well served by “cadencing”.
learn to teach to live under super stressin sf team work an ability to move on when everyone quits also conqure hunger sleep loss never show weakness, was sf 60 to 70 learn survival we had highest attrican in nam lucky to make it home mental streigth is key sorry for computer skills wrong era for me
Currently deployed. Wanna do something more with my career.
SF is my dream
protip: DONT go into malls or airports with a military backpack.
Hey guys
Song name is MK2hero theme
However shazam first tole me that it was: That everyone inch punch for everyone kungfu Chan chan lin
This sounds a lot like the Roman PT soldiers once did. March in kit up to 20 miles a day, dig and build camps, practice with weapons on a post.
I did 3 selections. Get used to ruck running with minimum packing list plus 8 pounds of water. Alternate with slow five mile jogs. If you get hotspots, stop and try again when they heal. Otherwise, you end up in a cycle of shredding your feet instead of hardening your feet. Stay healthy in training because your body will breakdown in selection. Get massage and do yoga for pliability. Don’t let type a’s psyche you out, plenty quit ranger tab and all. Expect 70% + washout rate in selection. Time your selection to avoid mid summer and intense winter. Join an orienteering club.
First, you got to pass the bare min to even enlist, then without any injury, complete the training to standards… basic,A.I.T, security clearance, airborne school, learning to cope with high stress under sleep deprived conditions, in a timed combat simulation…
short Guys need to take twice as many steps as tall guys. So that 20mile ruck turns into a 40mile ruck real quick,,,
do wild land fire fighting before hand. You may as well get payed to train.
I think he should’a explained that they’re GIANT worms lol…..Jocko’s like “wtf???”…
Great content, thank you for taking the time to post this video.
This is why where the best military on the planet. This is just insane.
Former Security Forces who tried many times for TACP, I tried but sometimes It’s not ment to be. Now as a railroader, I walk for hours… feels like 24h but yeah not even close to these guys. Rock on DForce!
I once played call of duty for 48 hours straight. Can I make selection?
Bro where you been man love your videos brotha big Hooah to you
No thanks I will sit on my couch, in front of my tv, the furthest I will walk will be to my fridge, I Wil do all my tours of duty on my Xbox, playing cod or R6 SEIGE, I will play patriotic music in the background while I issue out military commands to my team online through my headsets that Iearned from watching combat movies and when I die in battle I will just hit start and deploy again
I’m 5 foot 7 and 15,I really wanna join special forces when I grow up and I’m dedicated
What’s the difference between Special Forces and Delta Force? I was in Special Operations Air Base Ground Defense
Just wanted to know
if you are a foreign-born personal but now a citizen
does it affect selection:/
The real best way to train is this, when you dread to do one of your tasks of the day do it right then when you wake up. You hate making your bed make it right then and there. You look outside you think man imma have to cut the grass today that sucks cut it right then and there. Whatever it may be for where your at your job, at home whatever you hate doing and usually put it off DONT fucking do it right then and there.
I made it to the end of this video so i reckon i could make it to the end of selection
During selection do you get to walk with like a granola bar or something cuz 24 hours is long time to go without eating or drinking something?
From a mental aspect, remember. No matter how hard and tough it gets in selection, imagine being stuck behind enemy lines for real. A large enemy force closing in on your position. None of the training or selection course’s that exist in the world can replicate that FUBAR situation. Tired? Hungry? every muscle aching? Remember the fallen and the one’s that made it back.
Great video, perfect for someone like me guys. Thanks you for all you do
I have a serious question is it possible for a foreigner from EU to become US Army’s Delta Force Operator and what things do i need to follow to get there?
i am just like saying it cause i want you to benefit like i do from gym
Ok your mistake is Delta doesn’t just pull from the army. They pull from ALL BRANCHES.
I’m the exact same haha I I’m not the fastest and I’m not the best at distance but somehow I’m a great Rucker!
My partner is a SF 22 veteran, warrior soul and durable.Health wise not too good but every day gives life 100% and I love him dearly.
The thing I hated when it came to pull ups was that I had to be created in getting my first pull up because I could not even do 1 a while ago. I would have to do negative chin ups.
I have not trained for special forces, but I have trained for mountain climbing, which also requires carrying a heavy pack over long distances in whatever hellish conditions nature throws at you. Jogging with a rucksack sounds like a recipe for injury, but moving uphill fast is a good alternative.
I like to wear my 45 pound weight vest while going for jogs and sprints.
Best practical and fundamental shooting practice video I’ve seen to date. Thank you!! PS. Yeah, I was sort of transported back to that first pre-deployment mindset. LOL
I have a love and hate relationship with rucking because I love joggin (not walking) with 50lbs but once u finish ur legs feel like they need a 1 to 2 week recovery.. any way u can prevent pain from joggin with it?
Echo is like the child that’s an absolute unit, and Jocko is his dad Jocko can make dad jokes and Echo will laugh at all of em
What flex cuffs were those?? Does anyone know the SOCOM issued ones?
does basic / AIT/ airborne sufficiently train you for selection? or is training before you leave definitely necessary
Wtf jocko can be in one episode with out the use of jujitsu word
Forced road marches. Been there done that. I loved road marches. 11B!
You need to be able to carry 40kg of shit many kilometers. If you can do that then military is easy. You dont need to think yourself, everything is done for you. Even if you are almost retarded you can make it there.
Ive seen the most retarded people in military not in civilian life.
By special do you mean at birth you were forced to where a football helmet throughout the school year so you would not hit your head against hard surfaces. When I was in high school I used to smack the back of my head against concrete walls in the hallway untill the bell rang which was like 30-45 minutes aday and I had to stop cause my test scores started to go on a dramatic decline plus all the lump made my head hurt too much. I didnt graduate highschool until I was 25 years of age and I kept getting held back a year. By the time I was in my senior year for my final exam the school gave me some crayons and a coloring book and told me to stay inside the lines.
Good thing my High School’s NJROTC Program offers Orienteering as a class and as a team
F350 is a shit 4×4
Range Rover would be a better analogy JW.
I enjoy going straight through myself. Those trying out new things, get 200 push-ups every morning like cake work.
10 normal
10 diamond
10 wide
10 military
10 legs elevated arms at a comfortable stance.
and that’s 1 set of 50 repeat 4 times and that doesn’t feel horrible cause your switching while still working out the chest just focusing on different areas same for your arms and back. it really strengthens the wrist as well. At least it has for me.
You can do wonders with the basics by altering simple things like the way your hands are pointed and or angles.
Kinda hard to believe these are 7 SFG guys… very sloppy movement. And why is everyone bunched up?
Rucking SUCKS! However, once you are comfortable with being uncomfortable you will always prevail!! I walked at a 12 13 min pace in the infantry. I ran pretty good, but not fast. I was an endurance guy and good go all DAY! Like you said sir “It takes practice” even for me.
Any insights into why people become mass murdering bastards?? Maybe you could use your own murdering bastardness to explain?? Cheers jocks
Ex grunt here and love your videos Geeze wish I had them could of been helpful I didn’t really understand much about the military until I joined and just wish I looked into it. Keep em coming
Its a dream of mine to do this. Im a 5’4/5’5 19 year old, barely 125 pounds… Its a dream of mine
But I just know I wont make it
not really the varsity squad here, barely JV team material…..need a lot of work on flow.
The wear and tear on the crotch from long humps, wore biker type shorts to keep boys up and out of the way, OOHRAH!
This is what I will do. To join the marines I will train for SF and to join the SF I will train to be a superhero
This is weird, I’m packing my ruck for a 12-miler tomorrow and this popped up in my recommendations haha.
If you’re wondering how long it takes to harden your feet here’s a good rule of thumb:
20 miles per day for 30 days
Every 5th day is a rest
2 weeks light training and healing (feet)
Then 30 mile days for 10 days
This is who Americans and her followers should give unconditional respect tonot these fat cyber GUERILLAS who with their little computers can do immeasurable life damage to HEROS and STUDs like Jocko. We need to rethink “manhood” v. “terrorist puddies” and never let those cyber suckers know the light of day or darkness of privacy… they gots to go!!
Is there a Seal Team 4. Asking because I bought a jacket that has this on it
Rucking was something I did to train multiple days a week before USMC Boot Camp. It made life much easier after the first 4 weeks as the phycological difficulty was greatly diminished because I knew what to expect.
Mr. Willink I apologize for being rude to you when I met you at a wrestling tournament a year back or so. You may not remember but I was completely rude. My apologies sir I have lots of respect for you.
Is the T box the same location of the mythical clitorus?…. asking for a friend
There is nothing like shoulder straps digging in your traps…especially if your the A.G.!
hes got that shit right.. those rucks get bloody awful after a full days work
When my phone started falling I accidentally disliked the video and I’m assuming it happened 22 other times
Rucking is number one. It’s a suck fest. You also have to be great at running. Then, you need to be strong, and powerful. You have to be great at body weight exercises. I would say be good all around at a lot of things, but the endurance regimen is very important so your body can go for days and recover quickly.
currently at pre-rasp getting ready to go to Ranger Assessment and Selection Program. Two a Days 4-6 times a week
Primary Movements to focus on:
Running
Rucking
Pull Ups
Push Ups
Squat, Deadlift, Lunge.
with a Great Metcon once a day too.
The full name of the program I was in was US ARMY Special Forces Super Soldier Training Program! We had to be labeled as masters of 7 forms of martial arts as well 1 being nin-jitsu!
Echo provided ZERO context for the movie tremors with Kevin bacon
Just so we’re on the same page, you’re suggesting Pilates right?
I wanted to be the strongest cop where I’m at, done. End fights quickly deliberately, decisively=safety.
Can we do a podcast just on Tremors? Echo has to tell the entire story and use a whiteboard to try to sell Jocko I’m watching it
You should try Super Soldier training sometime the edge on the tip of the spear the little flag on top of the Special Forces Triangle no one knew was there! Our ruck sack road march was much more difficult than just a 50 lb pack mine was 1,246 lbs! All laying across my shoulders and strapped to my back mile 4 my feet and ankles shattered like glass total of 28 stress fractures 7 in each foot and 7 in each ankle we were being timed and had to complete with all weight on in under 15 minutes the entire 10 mile run! My time even though injured 13 minutes and 48 seconds!
I got a decent dose of “rucking” at Fort Benning in ’85 and’86. I agree wholeheartedly with the assessment here.
A porche is never ”cool”. its a fancy toy for middle aged men and extremely shallow ppl who love brands. Its like the pretty doll equivalent of a car. Performs best ion display >:P hahahaha

Practice makes perfect but suffering prepares you to deal with things others would see as death.
The law of specificity in training.
To address why Jocko was good at rocking. The shape of the pelvis and angle of the femur will affect your skillset. Most people will have femur angles built for general use, but others have angles for squatting or for marching. Sounds like we know what kind Jocko has.
Haha. Cute kiddo. Great training buddy. Kinda what it is all about. Train to be better able to defend and serve, but also enjoy life with family. Peace. Thanks for sharing.
If I don’t see Echo when he talks there’s no way I believe he has arms like those.
why do you purposely mislead people and make them think you were in Special Operations? Your CSIB is from 36th Infantry in the Army National Guard. You were just a basic ass boot that went to Ranger School. Stop with the bullshit or go EARN a fucking scroll instead of pretending. <3>
I am working out for the upcoming civil war
Gonna smash as many COMMUNISTS and SOCIALISTS as possible
Main take away: If you want to be good as something, do it until you’re good at it. Also, watch Tremors
For the military people would I be able to finish my degree in the military then re enlist as an officer, I currently have a 2 year degree and was wondering. And would my degree be able to be taken through the military or through online school?
Bruh, you the man. I live hauula cuz and I go workout kakela. New ideas thank you
Good vid. I’m an over 50, one tour Iraq (reservists) who will always be military at heart. I’m in decent shape for my age, but was looking for some motivation to break the inactivity that comes with the cold & dark days of winter. This hit the spot for me. Good routine, and great to see a real guy enjoying time with his family, and taking time to clean the beach in the process. You reference Jesus and service at the end was the clincher. Good work!
Hey do you have any swimming exercises that you could share? Thanks for the awesome content.
Hi there, im on the same thing as you are! I live near to river, and also clean it from garbage and tourists’s trash. I appreciate this workout and I love this video! Best wishes to your family.
All you have to do, just find an excuse to win. KEEP GOING!
When I went to the Rowe Center for Special Forces training, I just went. There wasn’t any training to do except push-ups, sit-ups, pull ups, run and do ruck marches. The main thing is just to train the mind. The kids nowadays are fortunate that people make training videos like this one to help them get ready.
2:42 Speed skaters won’t have a probleme with blisters, If any speedskaters are reading this like this comment.
Thanks for the vid, this will be my workout for tomorrow morning except for the beach:)
Respect the workout tips! Nothing beats working out at the beach. Appreciate your service sir!
Amen brother Praise the Lord i pray you and your family stay strong and praise the Lord brother Amen
I prefer steroids and weights then taking a nap and never walking more than 10 min
You need to be giving the name of these instrumentals share the love!
I’m not a gun owner but man, this seems so cool. Definitely moving to the US & getting myself an HK416
I’ve worked on a modified box drill by first eliminating being flanked, then the nearest center badguy. It’s counter intuitive at first because of distance, but is an option to work on.
Going solo against three is not fun odds any way you work it.
love seeing new uploads from u in my notifications. thanks for this video. really motivating for me to carry on training to join the army
Just watched a video about why thumb safetys on pistols are a bad idea because people have to take extra time to think about switching it off. This guy is literally training to use his safety as he shoulders his rifle, just like flicking your thumb over the safety while drawing a 1911. Its all in the training. 1911 guy shoots a glock just fine, but a glock guy will forget to use the safety unless he trains to turn one off anyway. It takes no extra time and no extra thought as long as you train.
Whats the beat from when you were going over what you go through in special forces training 1st month 1st week??
so as a California citizen looking at possible gun confiscation, in looking at this vid with all them dudes rushing in, uuummmm yeah, Im just gonna jimmy rig my property to high power explosives and just blow it all to hell
Where are you from? I’ve been watching your videos. I’m getting ready for that 11-B life
What happened to your deployment videos? Those were dope af to watch
If im already say 185, would you still reccomend doing weighted pullups even though I can only hit about 10 strict raw currently? About 16 chinups raw though. Not sure which one they use on the PT test, also im already in the infantry if that helps. 3/509
We need more black men like you thank vids I’ll put into practice
I agree to what you met the earth should always stay clean and should people should stand together for the greater good
I appreciate your content brother. I’m headed to the Dallas MEPS on 20 May, to get my eye consult knocked out and enlist in the Army with an option 40 contract to get my special operations career started.
Now for my question since you’re not in the Special Forces if you wanted a silencer for your Patrol rifle would they let it?
Hello Karl, another AWESOME video man. You have taught me/us so many cool training drills I appreciate you giving me these tools to put into my tool box. Unfortunately I don’t get to all of the drills I have been exposed to in your channel but the ones I have watched are all tucked away in my head. Just being exposed to things can help a Human in a time of need. Again I appreciate it and thank you for all the lessons…..
Best advice ever. “Don’t push yourself… speed will come… keep it in the kill zone… where it needs to be.”
winning the hearts and minds of the people,,,,,,,,,so 2 to the chest and one to the head…
This is a great basic tactical practice. Even if your seasoned shooter it’s always good to practice basics
I would like to know the type of Duty Belt he is wearing and where I can find it
Major issue with the second exercise, and that is after you shoot him you ain’t gonna be standing still. His head is gonna be wobbling about from you just shooting him, wouldn’t it be better to just shoot him a bunch in the chest?
” at this distance can that guy miss you with an Ak, no “……….. err if it’s africa yes he can
Back in the day this was called the Mozambique ( 3:10) my old Platoon Sergeant in the Rangers was Rhodesian Light Infantry, he was big on ‘put’em down! They aint gonna find the cure to cancer!’ He told us expect to give each bad guy on the objective a full magazine. He was right. Anyone worth shooting once is worth shooting twice or for that matter ten times.
Extreme long marches are very much used in screening for special forced

Awesome. I’m working on these drills next time I’m at the range. Thanks
Yes, like isil and other terror organisations don’t practice the same things.
You have professional military in those organisations.
In fact, isil soldiers were obviously far more better at this than any US soldier that the American military was circling in air all the time during the isil invasion.
Dang Hollywood with magic clips…. No re loads for the ones that laugh last.
Great drills all with one mag. Most bang for the buck. Sensible training is not senseless shooting.
Jocko has never seen Tremors?!? Curious how he would handle that situation…
No reason to practice putting it on safe if your in combat situation. How many operators put their guns back on safe after the first engagement? Just silly.
I noticed that special forces guys don’t shoot a carbine with nose right up to charging handle, is it better to shoot fast this way? I’m an M16A2 guy always nose up to handle. Now I have an M4 so trying to figure out best way to have stock and nose placement.
wouldn’t controlled pairs be better for defeating ceramic armor?
Trust me it’s not them or any of you who are going to be doing the “selection”. I will select you for sadistic games.
Any tips for when the opponent is wearing body armor vest? When and how to shoot
why don`t just shoot him directly into the t-box (face)?:D haha
Time to buy bulk ammo, and learn the right way to handle this rifle
you can wear a 20lb, 30lb, or 40lb weight vest while jogging
I am new to rifle got my 1st AR-15 2 weeks ago. About how far should I do this drill
Good fitness advice even for me at 41. Marry your backpack, walk everywhere, redundant footwear miles, miles, miles!
Great video, excellent instruction and information, thank you for sharing your knowledge
Hey man I like your videos but I’m really sorry if I offend you. I respect you a lot and admire you but why you make like spec ops preparation if you are not spec ops? If you are spec ops tell me because I’m kind of new in your channel.
I love this and I’m subscribed. I can’t wait to go to range!
is a victorious T-bagg on your confirmed kill considered a ‘combat drill’ I mean shit, i’ve racked up many hours of that in Counter Strike
is it just me or do they wear the same camo as Aussie SF not the brighter multicam this sort of darker shaded multi
I can’t stop for comming back to watch this video once and again. Thanks for this great info.
For some reason I’m becoming more and more interested in military type stuff.
Those are some super practical drills. A new shooter could spend three days blowing off 1,500 rounds like that and come away a hell of a shooter. Assuming they have some coaching available to keep them on the beam. It really pays to get training. Also, I’m encouraged to see Karl’s AR is set up a lot like my AR pistol, aside from his illuminator. Karl has privileges WAD doesn’t or they’d be closer.
How come you don’t actually manipulate your fire selector in many instances, but instead, fake it? Our MDS would have had your butt for that. Were you taught differently?
If Mr. Willink were my CO and I was marching with a 50 lb ruck, I would feel exceptionally lucky and just expect at any moment he was going to hand me a mortar base plate.
These drills are in close enough quarters that you can use a pistol as well.
Just what I was looking for. Basic fundamentals you can train on at an indoor firing range. Thanks Karl.
There is no flash or wasted movements. He looks like a robot while he’s doing it.
Overall athleticism
He not wrong, find people that know how to do certain strokes or find someone to do pool pt with and grind at it, but do It responsibly or you’ll end up like me nearly drowning not knowing how to bottom sample
A lil story. 4 guys are at their limits. Strike that way beyond imagination limits. They finish the evolution. The Cadre says get on the truck. 2 guys shoulders drop and say fuck and quit. Other two guys minds go haywire but throw their shit on the back of the pickup and sit on the tailgate. Cadre right in front of the two guys who quit says, you two guys made it good job. Looks at the other two get out of here you’re out. Mind games all fucking mind games.
Do a guide about left handed reload i am really struggling with it
Anyone worth shooting once is worth shooting twice!!!! Thanks man. Great stuff
Awsome, I have a glokey 17 very good with that also have a pc9 also good for home defence, next gun will be a AR 15. MY BUDDY has one.
THE WAY THINGS GOING TIME TO TRAIN HARD. DIRT BAGS FROM THE LEFT AND DEMOFUCKS, GOING TO SCREW WITH MY FAMILY’S FUTURE? I DON’T THINK SO.
the drills is what I have been waiting for, been drilling it out now for a couple of days, got good quick, I guess I was born to do this.
I’ve seen this Jocko dude on a few different podcasts, short clips. I want to like him, but he really comes across like a meat head. I was hoping he’d be the cerebral warrior but I’m not seeing it yet….. am I missing something…
i go to school and walk around trails around my city with my 30+ pound backpack all day and been doing since i was 13, and i got few blisters in first few months but i’m good now, its great idea to improve your endurance and strength.
This is where military and civilian training diverge. Civilian says everyone gets firsts before anyone gets seconds then go back to the first guy.
Wait so ur not special forces what do you do in the military then
What does Jocko know about SF selection. Straight up. I’m sure he would make it and succeed. But he didnt. Others did. Seals are glory and publicity seeking and it’s a disgrace. Wrong title bro.
I sleepwalk with a backpack on while sleeping, does that count for spec ops training?
Im using all of these drills to build my muscle memory so i can join usmc force recon in the near future thank you sir you’re the best
everbody is gangsta until Short guy can bench more than Jocko
I always train head shots inside 250 yards with a rifle. Especially at 7-25 yards. If our guns are ever up for confiscation, I want the idiot that took the job wearing level 4 body armor out of the game permanently.
#2 Strengthen you back lads! Deadlifts, etc. Most of my mates were always complaining about the pain in their lower backs due to a havy backpack.
#3 Unless your feet are white from the bottom, and hard like a stone, don’t bother yourself starting in a selection. Blisters are a sure thing and the worst enemy. If you can’t walk, you can’t anything.
#5 One of the biggest percentege of dropouts in polish SOF selections are due to the lack of proficient navigation skills problems with setting and keeping a course, counting your steps and distance, reading maps etc.
the market for firearms training has grown so big in the last 10 years. There is so many people doing it that its hard to know who is handing out black belts for money and the ones who are teaching things that truly work. A Lot of guys claim to have the experience of special forces from some branch in the military and that by default doesn’t make them the best to learn from but is more assuring. Wish there was a way to verify if someone was special forces but i don’t see someone being able to look up a unit in sf to do a identity check unless you had some sort of security clearance. Not bashing tacticalrifle just pointing how the difficulty in choosing a company to devote time and money to.
How is there 272 people who gave thumbs down??? Totally weird! S.F.O Special Forces Operator giving you free advice and thumbs down? Thats a lot of people. Doesent seen right. Whatever, Thanks I apreciate you and the knowledge you give.
Been coming back to this video several times, using it as a point of reference when doing some weekend shooting in AZ, pleasantly surprised with my improvement…not bad for a beat up 55 yr old hockey player.
Special Forces, Green Beret! Man, that’s awesome Thank you for your service, hope everything works out for you
sir do you have a red dot or scope on the rifle? and whats the name.
You were the Mule. Rucking killed me. Too lean and could run like a rabbit.
Because everyone sits and watches a firefight haha. just jabbin
2:13 or 3:40 Bulletproof underwear to prevent shot in the balls for the enemies, but none for the army.
You brake it down in a way I feel like I can actually learn how to use it right. So many videos show the ninja star throwing before the basic punches.
Sooo these heavily trained operators just allowed one guy with an AK to discard round after round at them from a room 5 feet away without firing a single round back for over a minute (last guy at the end)? I know this only training but if it wasnt they would’ve just traded 2+ operators worth hundreds of thousands of dollars each, for one terrorist worth around 100 dollars USD. I expected better movement and cover from the US special forces.
Hey mr
Life is a Special Operation, where you able to get into Delta Force? Hope you can answer:)
What type of sunglasses does Delta Force wear? I am looking for prescription sunglasses. Also, what are some things to look for when choosing them?
are the guys who are playing the enemy military personal or payed civilans?
It did seem like they were just going the motions on entries, no big deal thought, they’ll sort that out. The most serious no go I saw was leaving the first KIA down too long before securing him and searched, which I’m SURE will be strongly pointed out during the critique. I wish I was there, going thru it right now.
Carry On!
The slinky effect on those forced marches is worst part about it.
I read Eric Haney’s book and he said that the final ruck march after several is 40 miles long. Insane.
Remember, when you shoot someone 5 times, they can still shoot back. That’s why head shots are almost always a must.
1. Walk a lot
2. Strengthen your shoulders
3. Harden your feet
4. Good boots
5. Be great at land navigation
Wow this is the coolest and scariest shit I’ve seen. Fuck paranormal activity movies, Just have a guy with Helm Cam playing ominous music in the background.
Does anybody know what kind of radios they are using? Never seen radios like that before.
