I do a 45 min workout 4 sets of pull ups 4 sets of dips, 5 sets of push ups 5 sets of bodyweight bodyrows, and then 3 sets of body weight bicep curls, 3 sets of bicep curls with overhand grip with light weights and 3 sets arm adduction with elastic bands or bench press lol.
For legs I used to do weighted bulgarian split squat and single leg bridges, until this tuesday I tried to do a pistol squat and I started again with bodyweight only for the legs, except calves, I use weights for calves
I did this with two 4kg dumbbells (about 8 pounds each). If I can do this you can too lol
Just started this last week. I’m adding a set to each exercise and super setting the squats/presses and rows/shoulders. It’s surprisingly taxing and I’m loving it.

Claudia I would like to just say, from a woman to woman and a mother to mother YOU ARE AMAZING! I can’t believe you did those ‘Pike Pushups’ LIKE A BOSS!! I couldn’t do them but thanks to you both while you both casually did those crazy Pike Pushups I did traditional pushups from my knees something I have NEVER been able to do with proper form. And finally, Claudia I would be inclined to check to see if Coach Kozak has a pulse. Next time he’s sleeping just check if here is no suspicious beeping come from his body and you can actually feel a pulse….. because I SWEAR THIS GUY IS NOT HUMAN!! I am just left gobsmacked when I see him do these crazy workout positions ALL IN PERFRCT FORM WITH WEIGHTS. Coach you are incredible.

Too many people say that calisthenics is inferior to weight training, claiming that progressive overload is very difficult with bodyweight training. They assume that with weight training one can keep making continual progress with adding resistance, and fail to take into account how much time under tension/muscular tension makes calisthenics effective in building muscle. Even with weights, the natural trainee will plateau, getting to a point where adding more weight increases risk of injuries as well.
I have a question. Can you make a programme that includes Calisthenics work out as well as a Nutrition Plan. I know you can get them separately but a package would probably be more tempting to buy.Would go hand in hand pretty well. Thanks for the great videos and info

Excellent video. One note about the goblet squats and that is I see most people doing this and leaning forward and pushing up through the toes rather than through the ankles. The same with leg presses. I think most beginners need to be reminded of this.

ONE QUESTION PLS the workout routine was perfect for me until the rollouts. up to this point i could do all the exercises, it was challenging but i barely made it, but rollouts seem to be impossible for me? i cant do even one, is there anything i could do instead of them? maybe its my weight, im quite tall and overweight, but i seriously cant do one rollout, especially after all the previous exercises. am i just a beta weak ass dude that should start with taking walks in the park or what? its so dissapointing and i dont know what to do honestly

For those of you who have done this workout while wearing an Apple Watch, do you select weight training? I did the first time. But I just want to make sure it’s accurate.
Seen a lot of videos and I didn’t like the trainer even when they had good advice. But I like this dude. And I learned two new moves watching this and I now know my bent over row had bad form. I knew I wasn’t doing it correctly and now I need less wieghts because that shit hurts so good. Form is everything.
I like this program. I do something incredibly similar ( been training about 8 months). But there is something missing here. We have a push-pull-legs protocol that is missing a vertical pull movement.

I’m consistenty doing this program. I’m currently at the 2nd Phase, day 1 and will do it tomorrow. This was a fun but intense workout tbh. I’m doing this program every other day. To make it more interesting and challenging, I did a Ladder set (start at 10 reps) and its really rewarding.

Can anyone answer this for me please even you Rebecca. When I lie on the floor and do a sit up it’s ok but raising my legs straight like that really pulls on my back esp the right side. What am I doing wrong. I was 360 pounds and now have lost to a 178 pounds at 5’3” but would like to lose around 13 more pounds to 165 I will never be twiggy but that’s ok, if I get there and still keep losing then good if not that’s ok too,
Now I have a hanging gut which has got smaller but the rest of my weight loss I would like it to be more on my gut area. So I would like to do the sit-ups and raise the legs straight out, if it hurts like that would maybe having a pillow at the small of the back be ok.

Fave workout channel. No over thought bs. Explanations and reps. Simple. I’m 50 with 3 sets of dumbells and look like i own a gym. Initially just wanted to gain healthy weight but now just addicted to the pain. Mental health largely depends on this. Imho.

Technically barbell squats shouldn’t be on the side of weights because they are a weighted calisthenics movement. I would say that calisthenics and weight resistance training for legs are similar because most peoples leg workouts primary excercise is the barbell squat which is at its core a calisthenic movement

I am a complete novice to lifting, I purchased the plan, I have my dumbbells & bench ready to go. I did my first P1D1 today using 8lb dumbbells & a 10lb kettlebell for the goblet squat.When I was done my legs were jello & I fell asleep on my living room floor for about 20 mins. My dumbbells are not round so I couldn’t do the rollouts, I did a couple of plank holds & 3 sets of 10 ab crunches. Any other suggestions to replace the rollout?

Hello! I love the channel! I would love to see a video about crosstraining. I am a former triathlete and would still like to continue doing it (with less intensity) alongside calisthenics. I would love to hear your considerations about training calisthenics next to some more cardio heavy sport.

I’d say the only thing I’d change is the way he did the abdominal roll out. He’s working his hip flexors more than his abs. Shouldn’t bend at the hips like that when you’re coming back in

Ive noticed that in case of the push up, you always push through the chest and extend the shoulder also, but you should only move until your elbows are locked out. Unless you do planche or handstand or pike push ups

I love this routine! However, I am concerned if I am pushing myself too hard or not. I keep on failing during the last moves. And they hurt an awful lot, my legs don’t go out straight in a v yet. Should I do a different variation of it? With the plank rows my thumb got bent weird lol too.
This was an awesome workout, I loved that you were not repetitive and kept changing from one form to another. Did weights training after a long time and this was fun.

I have always had so much trouble with the v sit ups! It feels uncomfortable for my tailbone, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I really make an effort to use my abs but I still typically loose my balance.
Hi I have a question I’m doing upper lower split in my upper days i have weighted pull ups and weighted push up I’m aiming around 3 to 5 reps and resting 5 min between in order to make the session shorter in time i do the pull ups and then immediately i do the push up and then i rest 5 min is this method good or should i finish the pull ups sets and then start the push ups

Hey friends! I’ve gotten really sloppy with my eating and I’m ready to get back on track, revamp my workouts, start intermittent fasting, and burn some major fat! I’m going to start this using the app tomorrow morning (early too: 6 am!) and combine this with walking for 1 hour at a high pace and running with the app C25K. I’m a beginner with weight lifting but I work our regularly and am already pretty strong: I was a dancer for 15 years so I understand how the body works. So excited and motivated!

I’m turning 18 shortly (honestly amazed I’ve made it this far tbh), and I don’t have the best of diets nor lifestyle. I’m surprisingly, somehow very thin. In the past few months, I’ve been researching and wanting to incorporate diet changes, exercise, yoga, meditation and all sorts into my day to day life in order to get at least somewhat both fit and healthy. I bought my first pair of hand weights today. I couldn’t even hold the 3kg one so I bought two 1.5kg and two 2kg ones.
Love it! Coming back from a running injury and this is great cardio for me without re-injuring myself!!

quick question, do i have to do a glute activation before doing this workout?
I’m as skinny as a stick and honestly tired of it. Doing these (or any) workouts, I feel the pain so easily and so early on, but I’m trying so hard to push myself a little further every day. Heart attacks are known to run through my family, I’m not exactly the most healthiest or fittest of people, so, I want to make some healthy lifestyle changes in order to prevent that happening to me and to become fit, healthy and strong.
If i do that every day with a healty food, can i have result?

I wrote a message about getting pains in my back when I did the leg lifts and you mentioned that the back wasn’t being kept in place and I did that really concentrated on keeping my back stable and what I difference. So thank u for taking the time to answer me. And now I am loving this workout. I am obese and working it as hard as I can.

So the only ones I honestly can’t do are full pushups (did them on my knees and did a leg lift instead) and the mountain climber ones (did them standing up as knee ups with the opposite elbow) Really enjoyed the cardio even though we were insane with it. Still got a good burn and sweat.
The mountain climber really kills me. Much R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Also want to say thank youfor everyone who’s locked down at home away from the gym. You are a life saver.
Locve low impact workouts! Only modification was no weights. Rights arm bothering me when lifting and some moves. I still got a good sweat sesh!

“and you can’t just make your bodyweight lighter” hmm. Nope. Strap some resistance bands on and use them in the hardest part of the movement:). I loved showing that one to a newbie the joy when they can do calisthenics movements which were far beyond them is amazing:D
