March 17, 2019 By specialoffers The Wobble Stool is a modern choice for fans of active sitting. Designed entirely by Uncaged Ergonomics, the stool is mainly used to get more active and burn calories while working at a desk. Easy to assemble and very comfortable when fully sitting in lowered position. I like that it allows movement that forces you to use your core muscles for better posture. Not quite as comfortable to lean on when working in a standing position.I’m altering the position between closer to sitting and closer to standing; and using for not more than 1 to 2 hrs before reverting to fully standing or fully sitting in office chair. The fact that it wobbles is great.
Giving it a neutral 3 as I think it looks like a well made stool that functions as described.Well, it wobbles! A doddle to assemble, and it’s fairly comfortable I can sit on it for about an hour before my backside goes numb, which is probably a good thing as it makes me get up and move.
I am using it as a desk stool, not a standing stool, and it makes for active sitting Weighing up comfort, price, and core strengthening, this stool is my personal favorite. The Learniture Active Learning Stool has a simple yet attractive design. It was made for adults, but children over 10 can use it. The base of the stool is made from thick foam.
With active sitting using Kore Design wobble chairs, seated activities don’t have to be sedentary! Constant motion helps increase blood flow which in turn stimulates Secondary Focus. Concentrate more on the task at hand instead of on trying to sit still.

Can you please do more disney infinity videos because even though they’ve discontinued it I still really enjoyed those videos especially the toy box builds, keep up the amazing videos
It looks like something kids would have in school. Looks silly for adults! It may work but, man it’s fugly:(
that’s clever. thank you for taking the time and free us from having to search around thousands of chairs. I always wanted a big tall chair just like me
Ergonomic chair? There are only 2 kinds of chairs-bad chairs, and worse chairs.
I love your review thank you, your desk looks fantastic too could you please speak about it too. Thanks
Omg its you in real life! XD i was not expecting the unmaking of cryptic fox to be in a unboxing video lol
As soon as you put it together, I saw that it is an accident waiting to happen for me, even before your little experiment at the end. Ironically, I was looking at them last week for my own bad back.
Oh, and I have found Pilates does wonders for my back (when I actually do the exercises regularly). Enjoyed the video!
Excellent advice. I was looking to buy a wobble stool but you just talked me out of one. We’re about the same size..i’m 196lbs and 5’11” so i hope to have the same results. Another interesting point is I have been having issues with finding the right shoes for standing long term but after watching you in bare feet i decided to try that and bare feet no shoes has been the most comfortable. Thanks.
boy, am I happy that I stumbled on your video. I was about to buy a wobble stool. but your video made me change my mind. The past weeks I have been looking for/thinking about/overloading my head with information on making a dynamic environment (because of back and neck pain) in my house, but without any satisfaction. an electric sit stand desk was a thought, but they are so expensive. so, thank you for your video. just as you I like to move around. also I hope, in time, to see my chiropractor less often.
Hope you didn’t hurt yourself further in those last few seconds.:)

A really great review with quality production value!
One thing I`m curious about: is the 58cm sitting height measured from floor to the top of the cushioning?
I ask because I have a Topstar Sitness, where the cushioning seems to go way above the declared sitting height… Thank you!
Well, this company’s really cool for doing this. OF course I’m aware that they see an advantage to this, as you show their products online. But still, they could’ve decided not to do it. Tho, after seeing what you did with that chair at the end of the vid, MAYBE they won’t send you products anymore! XD
The top of your screen should be at eye level, not lower, fyi.
nice job mate!!!! Have anyone try the SmartDesk Kit from Autonomous?
Okay thank you again for these reviews! Very relevant to my own back.
Wow this was an amazingly produced review. As a videographer who is obsessed with productivity setups as well I can really appreciate all the production quality you put into this on top of the amazingly thorough review.
This review is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Andrew for informative review video. Helped me a lot!
thx for this Matt, was about to buy a wobble stool, but was back and forth. I’m 6ft.4 and want to start using a standing desk. you think that draft chair will be high enough for me?
The Focal Pivot has been the best office seat I have ever used. I didn’t love it initially but two years later and my back health has been entirely restored. Having recently purchased a HAG Puls for longer content production sessions (read lots of typing) my back health has decreased. I’m glad I still have the Pivot and am questioning the HAG purchase… The only major issue with the Pivot has been the fact that the base slides on hardwood floors I have not been able to find a solution to this problem.
I’m glad that i’ve bumped in to your informative and funny video. You mentioned a video about how had you setup your standing desk. Where can I can find it if it is still available online?
When switching from using this stool to normal standing, do you feel the need to make adjustments on your sit stand desk?
I’m hoping for something where I can just be “fidgety” and continuously move from standing to “leaning” without having to constantly make micro adjustments to the table.
My god, I have never seen anyone think so deeply about sitting. I loved it, and actually bought one.
Great video. Thank you for the review. I bought my Lidkullen today. Also, on a side note you make great videos, I was shocked to see the low number of subscribers, probably your new. Anyway, keep going. You deserve more and audiences like us appreciate such nice informative candid videos. Take care.
Great Andrew! I wish the best in your new endeavor, I believe you should sponsor by all these products manufacturers I’m guessing it’s matter of time!
MARANATHA
don’t used “gaming chair” when sitting for a long period of time..
Great view! What Keyboard are you using? I’m looking for something with a smaller footprint and this keyboard caught my eye.
Thanks for the review. Informative and fun to listen. It does sound like a lot of effort to find a way to sit to alternate with standing. The reviewer points out that adjustable-height desks also have their own issues, but apart from the cost it’s been an easy enough solution.
Adjustable desk is far superior to this setup. You can’t appreciate how convenient they are until you’ve had one for a while.
Would you be able to provide information on how you set up your standing desk? I have the SAME table top that I have been thinking to convert to a standing desk as opposed to spending $$$ on an autonomous standing desk. Any recommendations would be awesome! Love the video. thank you.
Very good, thank you for the thoughts on what you have used. You might consider shooting your video landscape rather than portrait mode.
Plot twist, it was supposed to help you with your back cryptic, not to make it worse hahaha
Check out Ergodriven’s Topo Mat. That should help a lot with any pain you experience while standing
One of the best lidkullen review i’ve ever seen. I am looking for standing chair and cant decide between Lidkullen and Nilserik (from Ikea too) I need it for my art studio. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
Quick questionHow happy are you with the back support on this chair? Does it help you keep good posture?
What is the link to your IKEA parts standing desk video? Thanks
I’m 6”4′ 190. Wear you saying it has the highest highth adjustmint? Also dos it alow you to rock bak and forth or tilt?
Does it recline and what did they say about the compression spring for a heavier person?
Do you have any suggestions for laptop risers, for those without monitors? Great video, thanks!
I suggest you give this a try. It’s changed my work-life. When new it never felt foreign. I’d say it took 30-60 minutes to get fully acclimated to it.

Look I was gonna shit in the chair but noooo the chairs not meant for shitting I guess.
Straight up. Bit long winded pre production facts missing but Google hones experience.
5:23 what we really came for… Just kidding hope your doing well, looking forward to the 4th episode of Mutant Year Zero!
Hai, I am interested in ‘how you made your standing desk’, but can’t find the video you talk about. where can I find it?
UPDATE: MAY 4
The Trollberget has a higher minimum sitting height — 26″ / 66cm than the Lidkullen — 23¼” / 59 cm. I incorrectly said both had the same minimum height. Apologies. This adjustment makes the Trollberget less appealing to me.
Thank you! It’s exactly what I need. Do you have any recommendation for chairs?
Thanks so much for this review! Im so grateful I found this before I bought the wobble stool.
Yeah get rid of the raised desk. As doctors have said for years it’s all about flat feet on the floor, arms level with the desk and eyes level with the center of the monitor. Your final set up shows how you’ve obsessed your way right back to the original correct position, just 6 in. higher. Lower the desk, get your feet back on the floor with a good chair and maybe a back brace just for awhile to teach good posture and you will feel great. It’s all about the feet position.
I liked your video it was clear and actually helpful:) I will also consider the laptop holder that you have
Thankyou! I was looking at this chair a couple of months ago but they had sold out here in Australia. Just ducked down to Ikea after watching this and grabbed one now they are back in stock. Can confirm it is a great chair to use with a standing desk.
Before this I was using the NILSERIK from Ikea and just find it super uncomfortable. So glad I’ve upgraded.
Hey there, like most computer users they will possibly develop pain on 3 areas: neck/shoulder, wrist, lower back. You already took care of lower back by getting an adjustable desk and chair. You should also consider getting an ergonomic mouse. I personally use the Evoluent mouse and I’ve had them for almost 5 years. By having a vertical mouse, my wrist is resting on the desk/mousepad on the bone. The shoulders and neck is about posture and exercise. I do these for the neck https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxXAYRixcYM. These https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JObYtU7Y7ag&t=0s&list=PLVHh5HblAOoQzyPHFnw21K_Ac18yYX11P&index=2 for the shoulders. Thank you so much for this review. No one has good reviews for office drafting stools/chairs. I was already looking at this chair on Amazon and it looks like it may be a good fit for me.
Is it still holding up well now in 2017? Any issues you have run into since this review? I have a desk that is 33″ and I am 5’2″. So its been a journey trying to find a good chair.
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, ohhh wait…. it fell out of the sky:)
I know it’s been a while since you created this, but I came across your video and not only did I find it helpful it was also very relaxed, funny and honest. I’m in the exact same situation and you are right, you must have the perfect work station for your needs. Thank you for posting and doing the leg work. I’m just wondering..what’s a squatty potty? 😉
I’m trying to surtout my own studio workspace, and standing desk is high up there. And so is cheap… I don’t want to blow loads of cash trying out solutions that may not work for me.
This video was very good it helped me reconsider my approach to a standing desk. Thanks!
Informative and entertaining product review. Extremely helpful for someone like me looking for a solution. Keep up the good work!
I’m using the back-app 2.0 chair but lately I’m back to the normal chair and standing. I think I should start using it again. It cost way more than this one, have you tried that one too?
Do you know how much the chair weighs? Strange that Ikea doesn’t mntion this on their site. I am tring to compare this with the TROLLBERGET chair, and being able to move it out of the way easily is a huge factor.
I’ve been looking into these and other chairs. Man, I need the hookup, haha.
This is useful information, so thank you and from one person who has an injured back to another, hope you feel better!
Let’s us know how you find it after a month or so. I sit at a desk all day for work, and I’m a fluffy guy with a soft core lol
Matt this was the best video i have seen on this topic on youtube. I’m about your height and I had a feeling that if i bought the wobble chair i would find myself slumping over time. My issue is with neck and shoulder pain from being too low when sitting and back pain from slumping. So I am standing but trying to get right height. Im about 6.0 ft. I will have to invest in that chair.
Hey, thanks for creating this video. I found it super informative and useful.

Great review! Thank you! Do you know what the diameter of the footrest is? I am comparing Lidkullen and Tollberget. For the second one they show it in the online description. For the Lidkullen there are no measurements given. Thank you!!
You should do some reviews on large and tall chairs! You may need to get a guest star for that one, but I think it would be a well received video.
Well, I can tell you right now that your monitor positioning isn’t ergonomic!
I have the exact same knife that you used! No not really..
But good chair, definitely fun to sit on.
Love that Anthrodesk have looked after you so well:) Not sure about your superman at the end there though haha
Great review Andrew! Love this new line of reviews from you! Same great quality! Looking forward to future content!
