Normal scale, a measuring tape, and an Excel sheet, works well enough for me now.
Doesn’t work, weight tracking is ok body composition Fat, water, bone, muscle on my scales, vary by 5, 6 or even 7kg per day. Highly do not recommend these scales and i know how gadgets work,.
hopefully got you a little coin on this one…totally just ordered this through your amazon shop after seeing you recommend it. Happy to have found your channel man!
I bought a Withings nokia + scale. It basically doesn’t work. I have tried different floor surfaces, and every other variation. Bone weight varies, fat, water, muscle and BMI by 5 to 6 kg daily!! Been using it for months and it is utterly useless. I like gadgets and know how to use them. This is rubbish, if i could post a picture i would the lines are up and down on the little graphs like a heart monitor. Worst purchase in ten years.
Did you check if It is possible to sync the bodyfat from the app to myfitnesspal?
Thanks for the honest review Erin! I’ve been looking for a scale with more reliable connectivity than my Fitbit Aria, and the Withings doesn’t seem to be it!
It’s a fantastic device. It should be mentioned the most expensive one and it’s heart features was removed with a update because it wasn’t trust worthy so get the +.
Can we have your opinion on Garmin’s smartscale? Also, a video per couple months is not enough
Does send data to my apples health app? Not only reading but writing?
Would appreciate it if someone answers.
Also in comparison which is more accurate, eufy by anker or Nokia?
Thank you
I was wondering how well the body weight checker works in this. Because i have other cheep digital scales and if check my weight then move it too a different spot and check again it changes(always hardwood flooring). I believe because my scales use 4 feet to check your weight. I was wondering how well stable this one is when moving from place to place or are all digital scales like that. My analog scales dont have that problem so i was wondering
I can’t get it setup, it keeps connecting for ages, if it connects, it keeps configuring for ages, I tried resetting everything, nothing helps,
I’m not impressed with the WiFi feature of this scale-I’ve had mine for over a year and I constantly have to mess with the app to get it to upload to my iPad. Not impressed!!!!
This is scale is of very good value for it’s money. But don’t bother with the alot more experience cardio edition. A snapshot off my HR in the morning varied so much that I turned the function off as it was a completely useless metric for me.
Is there any difference between Nokia Body+ and withings Body+?
I know that Nokia bought and then sell the company back, but is there any difference in scales other than name on the scale?
I have had a $30 Renpho smart scale for two years. As I have recently gotten more serious about my physical fitness I purchased this $80 Withings Body+ for a more accurate assessment of my progress. The numbers were exactly the same!
Don’t waste your money!
I am thinking of using this scale in my own gym. Can it measures body percentage of unregistered user? Thank you for the review
you don’t need that carpet feet when you’re not on carpet. that’s why it’s slippering.
WATCH NEXT: Nokia Steel HR Fitness Tracker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOhh7RR-zOI what do you think of using smart devices to better manage your health?
LOL @ the video at the beginning…keep it up you’ll be a big YouTube forsure
Get the Nokia Body regular version.
The plus version is too pricey has the useless and incarcerate fat mass, bone mass etc.
Save money and ditch these “features”.
Good review with helpful tips. It seems your diet is working!
Another superficial analysis, not about the technology itself and how accurate it is compared to machines that are just for Bioelectrical impedance analysis
I have used some similar model and it’s great to follow your health condition, being honest u don’t know how accurate it’s to show that extra data besides the weight, but it should good enough to know if you are getting more or less fat and water
I actually use a cheap smart scale regularly, it helps pretty much, being Nokia it should be very accurate.
Video liked my friend
Is this more accurate than the previous model, the Smart Body Analyzer (WS-50)?
My scale works, but I have a pet peeve. M.Grasse is showing instead of Body Fat and IMC is showing instead of BMI on the scale. Can’t figure out why. Location and units are set correctly.
We bought one yesterday. My wife is athletic and had a test at our gym with a professional machine. Last night she went ballistic when the Body+ told her she had 24% fat when the gym told her it was 3.5%! Her water content was WAY down. Today we checked again and now it says 3.5% and water is up to 69% from 52%! Now it makes sense.
Then we found how to change the Units in the App and found some glitches. Changed Feet to metres but on the profile change it kept saying feet. Then you put the cm figures in by the FEET and your profile says Centimetres! Finally, we will give it a week to keep trying it out. At one stage it said her Bmi was 3.7!!!! Skeletal.
Awesome review! I subscribed and I’m ordering my scale, cheers mate!
What did you think of the HR monitor part of it? I have the body+ one which doesn’t have that feature (or the rechargeable capability) but I opted for the slightly cheaper one because I have a HR monitor on my withings HR sport so it seemed pointless to pay extra for that feature
Thank you for providing a decent description of the features along with some footage of it in use, but you failed to “review” the product. Nokia sent you that scale, but all you did was give us the features. This has become a pet peeve of mine. Far too many YouTubers are simply describing the features in their so called “reviews”, but a review should be an assessment and opinion of the features and, if possible, how those features compare to other similar products. I can read all of the features of this scale on their web site. What I expect in a review is what you think of it. I want to know if you found it to be accurate, not how accurate Nokia claims it to be. Are the body composition readings accurate and useful? Do you like how it integrates with other services, not simply that it does integrate with a bunch of services. We want your opinion, not just the specifications. To be fair, you did give your opinion on syncing the scale with a number of services, compared to the Fitbit scale which does not, so I thank you for that. If your intention is to just show us the scale and read the features off the box, that’s an advertisement, not a review. Your channel appears well done, and you’re obviously putting effort into your videos, but I think you can step it up a notch by including your assessment of the product and its features. Thanks Andru.
I see this after I ordered another smart scale that is barely not as smart As yours, and for like 20 more bucks, ughhhhhh you need your phone with this one and it can’t detect who’s on it! Ugh!
I liked it up until when you mentioned that it’s is not stable. I am pregnant and can not risk it moving around on me. Thank you for your honest review.
Nice to see a natural builder. Keep it up bro and stay clean!!!

Great video, as per usual. Something I’d like to see in the future is videos on speakers and headphones, maybe some focused more towards the budget side of things? Thatd be pretty cool
I’ve put away my Body+ and Steel HR the moment they stopped being Nokia Health.
The entire deal of a guy somehow managing to buy back the company was really shady. As such, the moment “Withings” returned, I put my Nokia Health products away. Same as I did once Google bought FitBit.
Health data isn’t trivial data like web search or purchase history, so it’s important to know who you’re giving it to. Google can’t be trusted with such data, and neither can’t Withings, IMO.
I have this one but it’s not that accurate. I weighed myself first thing in the morning, then I had 1 small toast and coffe for breakfast and went to the bathroom. I decided to wigh myself again for fun and suddenly I had gained 3 kilos in fat mass according to this scale.. just from eating a small breakfast and emptying my bowels… yeah.

The first scale’s battery life was terrible. What about the new one?
Great review! We have had two of these scales and found that they are good at doing what they say it should do.
Except, the scale stops working after one year. Way too expensive to only work for one year! We ended up buying a Weight Watchers scale at Costco.
I’ve used this scale for a couple of month now and i can tell you guys that the only thing you can expect from a Nokia Body+ is to see your weight. Body fat, water and bone mass… forget about that.
Renders online look blue, but the name is black, what colors is it most close to?
Does anyone know if it’s compatible with Samsung Health App?
I purchased the fitbit aria 2. its nice but hate it that you have to create so many accounts/emails for the family members, especially my little 3yr daughter to track her weight. i just ordered the withings body+ to give it a shot.
How does this work if it’s a family scale? Does it know whose who??
Is this scale ok for a bodybuilder? Need to know my water and body fat
your like third review person too stupid to take their socks off for fat readings…
I just ordered the scale and the BP monitor. For the seamless
tracking.
putting the tin foil hat on here, who owns the data that your sending up to the cloud? is there a way to send this data to a local stored device on your network?
My LG V30 tells me about how many steps and how active I was that day, informs me if I hit my goal for the day also. Same goes to my Moto 360 (second gen)
I have that scale. I won it back in the day from dietbet. I’m so confused though with it going back and forth between owners.
Hey Andru, follower from Malta here, appreciate a shout Cool informative vid as always, great stuff man
But it’s really not very helpful to weight once a week. Because the circumstances every week may differ. So the most effective way is to weight in every day or at least few a week and then calculate the average of the week.
Nice video! Just bought one as I am to lose weight this year. You convinced me to buy this instead of some cheap old scale where I have to track my weight manually. Found it on sale too!
I can set the scale to lbs but on my iPhone app it shows in kg,can you not have it in lbs in the phone app?
It’s not for me personally but if your into tracking your progress then it looks pretty helpful. Nice video as always guys
Hey coach I need some help!! I’m an 18 year old female, 5’5″ weighing 126.4 lbs at around 17-18% body fat. I’m going to be going to college this fall (August) to play soccer and I’m really trying to put on more muscle before I go. I eat around 2,450 calories a day. Carbs 350, Fat 50, Protein 160. I go to the gym 5x a week and typically have one or two soccer games. Each gym session I burn about 450-550 calories. I’m slowly seeing my weight increase each week about.24 lbs. Am I headed in the right direction with my diet? Should I change my macros? How do I know if I’m increasing my muscle mass and not just gaining fat? I’m not sure how to approach this. I’ve always had a lean body and tiny frame and I really want to bulk up as much as I can. I hope you can help! Thanks coach.
What a fantastic, and honest review! I really liked the fact you talked about how easy the scales were to set up on your phone, the quality of the customer service and how you went through the troubleshooting steps to resolve the bugs. Fingers cross Withings has released some firmware to get rid of the bugs you found.
How accurate is it 0-100% when it comes to calculating the body fat and muscle mass?
@ 2:06 min…. accuracy is “0.2 lbs”?? That’s not accurate at all
Hey Erin! That’s too bad you got hard time to thing going. Also that’s bad it’s a great product. Thanks for sharing my friend!
How do you change lbs or Stones & Lbs for your initial weight to Kg and Metres for your height, in The App? Starting the App didn’t give us a choice. That’s the App from Withings.
Great review Andru! I have to grab one of these. I’m just starting a new health and wellness program and I could use a new scale as mine is ancient!
Hi there, is there any accurate comparison of this scale results to professional body composition scale? Or any reviews have been done with the comparison?
BMI is that bowel movement indicator? LOL sorry Dave I had to. Nice scale, lots of information, looks really nice but is the battery removable? The app looks nicely laid out but could use a bit of tweaking. I only weigh myself once a week, for me if I noticed I either gained weight or stayed the same it puts in the frame of mind to work a bit harder to lose weight all week.
I wanted to see the sweaty footprints that you left on the scale
Erin, I have to say, that price is CRAZY! For that money: 1) It better work FLAWLESSLY! 2) It should interface with ANY app that can use the information which it gathers. 3) It should be PLUG AND PLAY! No difficulty setting up. 4) It better have AMAZING tech support! And when I say AMAZING, I don’t mean Microsoft tech support, whose first order of business is ALWAYS to reset your computer. Thank you for SAVING US ALL LOTS OF $$$$$$$$!!!!! You ROCK!
TYVM. I just ordered mine and got it this week. I was trying to figure out if the scale said the weight aloud, because no other video mentioned it
Whats the best scale and most accurate weight scale out there? Thanks any help much appreciated
I use the Samsung Health app to monitor my walks and bike rides
Coach what are your thought on using the fitbit on your wrist in order to manipulate your macros based on the activity you have each day?
I can’t stand wifi scales anymore. They work for a bit then just dies
Great video, very informative! This cemented my decision about buying it. Thanks!
Love the gadget videos! Always giving me great ideas to blow some cash haha. Really liking this scale so far.
I think it would of been more effective if they came with a myfitnesspal food scale tbh.
I have a similar one from Fitbit. After doing my research basically the body fat is not accurate at all! Just use it to weight yourself and the sync functionality but I don’t and wouldn’t recommend taking the body fat to heart it’s not accurate!
