The best way to stay motivated to work out is to devote 30 days to exercising! This helped me build the habit and keep it! I worked out for 30 days then dropped it down to 4x a week. I’ve been doing this for 8 months now:) I also use a calendar to keep track of my progress and put a sticker on my calendar every time I work out. It’s like being in 1st grade again when the teacher gave you a sticker for completing your homework. Works for me!

I’ve been working out plus eating healthy during summer vacation and i’ve lost weight i felt so confident about my self BUT when school begun i stoped my routine i eat a lot i’m stressed i always look at the mirror and see all that fat and feel more stressed every time i think i should start working out i should lose this amount of pounds in this short period i feel more stressed if i can do it or not.

Gonna share my personal story
So once I had a bad day at school. I decided to watch Netflix rest of the day. But before that I did my bowling session because I knew I wanted to represent my country. The only reason Iowa’s able to do it because I had self motivation. I wanted to represent my country. The thing is you don’t need motivation to do sometimes if you enjoy doing it. I managed to do it even after having a bad day only because I enjoyed doing it.
Such a fun video! I’m finally jumping on the blogilates bandwagon a bit late… and I definitely need to up my bedding game lol. I find that working out on my period actually makes me feel better when I’m on my period. I’ve had several clients and patients who refused to work out on their periods have vast improvement in their menstrual symptoms once they actually started working out!

6:32 what you where saying reminded me of a clock. Time flys when you have fun but if you keep staring at the clock the more slower it gets and, like you get me?, What I’m saying is it’s like loosing weight, keep looking at that scale and the slower it is to reach your level ya know? But when you ditch the scale you become more motivated because you are not focused on the pounds but on how you look and feel. And then suddenly time goes faster and you’ve got the healthy body you’ve been looking for!

You’re right. You have to do something you enjoy. When I think about exercise, I think about boring things (like push ups, sit ups, etc.). But there are fun things you can do that are also exercising.

personally i started with an extreme amount of exercise, like people look at it and say, “no way you do that everyday!” and it’s only motivated me because when i first started it was very hard. however now a few months later it’s become more easy, to the point i had to add things. and that shows me the change
Last year I fell in LOVE with exercising and lost 25 lbs! Towards the end of last year I started slack off due to school semester coming back and now this year covid 19. I’ll try to get back in it and fall in love with it but I do it for a week, then just fall apart for a couple then comeback:(

I am not here for information, but to help those who are seeking answers and help! Not too long ago, I was deeply plunged into internet searches and videos in hopes of understanding WHY despite all my efforts, I could not lose weight! I have tried everything under the sun from the modest diets to the extreme and nothing worked. When I say extreme, I mean going for months and months on 200 to 500 calories and not losing a single pound! Not 1 pound. Now, if that sounds completely impossible to you then my comment was not meant for you! This is for those of you who know exactly what I am talking about, because you’ve been there or are currently experiencing this phenomenon. After a while, I could not find anymore motivation. After the ups and downs of my weight, only to end up where I started I thought my mind and body had gievn up. I just did not have it in me to exercise, even though I continued dieting. I used to search “low motivation” and “weight loss plateaus”. I even tried the reverse diet trick, only to be disappointed. After a very long time, I have uncovered the reasons I was unable to lose weight and that’s not to say I may not discover more reasons to my slow wright loss down the line. Anyways, I want to share some of the things I learned about myself and that I am currently getting corrected with medications. Maybe you might be experiencing these problems too or something similar? You just never know! Do what I did and keep asking questions until you discover what is wrong.
1. PCOS which caused a horomal imbalance amongst other things!
2. Severely deficient in vitamin D! Even though I was prescribed a mega dose vitamin D weekly, I had my levels checked a year later and the levels were exactly the same! So they changed the type of vitamin D prescribed, as well as the dosage and frequency and I feel like a different person. I feel normal, motivated and energetic. I had become so used to feeling tired and fatigued that I did not even know something was wrong, because it became my normal! But nothing is normal about an absence of motivation and energy!
3. Depression, but I knew that already!
4. Severely Anemic (I don’t experience heavy bleeding, so my doctors are stumped) I get iron infusiomn every few months now to remain stable.
5. Metabolic Syndrome (hopefully this was caused by the hormonal imbalance and can be corrected).
Now obviously I’m a weird case (why me?) and I don’t expect anyone to be this screwed up. The only point I’m trying to get accross is that I had no idea all of these things was wrong with me, let alone preventing me from losing weight and attributing to symptoms I came to believe was normal, such as increased hunger, mood swings and insomnia. If you find it impossible to lose weight, there might just be a medical reason for it. By the way, I have lost 57.2 pounds in 3 and a half months. Good luck and never give up!

I’m going to give this a go. I was given 12-14 months to live in February, because of a grade IV glioblastoma brain tumor. I don’t know if I’ll fall into the 75% who don’t live longer than a year. The odds are against me, but that 25% has to filled with those who didn’t. I’m going to get in as good shape I’ve ever been, with however much time I have left.
And what Joe Rogan says is true. Whichever route you take, slacker or doer, your brain rewards you either way. Only the healthy route is free of guilt and remorse that come with letting your body go to shit. I’m nearly 20 lbs overweight. I’m confident that I can complete some of these 30 day challenges, and get into shape.

I am just so lazy right now. I feel like i prefer to workout at home rather than going to the gym. I need to make a schedule. It might be easier to stick to it
maybe its because its quarantine, but i just don’t feel satisfied with my workouts. ive developed unhealthy habits, like starving myself and then binging, checking my weight 3 or more times a day, looking at my body and feeling parts of it thinking like “i feel like my arms have gotten fatter” or “my thighs look bigger”. even after i workout, i just think like “i couldve done more” because, i don’t get that euphoric feeling. does anyone have any tips or guidance?

I did the first two weeks of the beginner calendar and decided to take one extra rest day bc my hamstrings felt like they were gonna get injured if I didn’t give them a break (I was also doing the 30 day journey to splits calendar so that’s why, Iwas probably overdoing it as a beginner. Don’t be afraid to try the beginner calendar!! It’s great). BUT that one extra day turned into another day, and another, and another… and pretty soon I wasn’t working out at all, I went into a depressive state bc this month is the 1st anniversary of a family tragedy for me so I just stopped caring about my body. I stopped trying to eat healthy, and stopped worrying about hydrating, I haven’t exercised in a month. I’m so disappointed in myself that I didn’t finish and that I STILL have no motivation to start again even though I’m upset at myself for not trying anymore. But, I’m gonna go for a walk tomorrow morning and if I feel ok after that, I’m gonna start from the 1st day of week 2 on the beginner calendar to try to get back into it again. I don’t want to give up this time even though I really don’t even want to start again. I’m still gonna try and the motivation will come later
I honestly can’t workout in a routine, i workout for a week and then not whole month and then one time and pushing myself again next time it doesn’t work. I don’t know how people do it. I wish i earned more and then do liposuction and be in shape.
I quit drugs and alcohol, felt fantastic. I actually liked sober life (1year sober). Like a stupid idiot, I got bored one day and thought “ I’ll get myself 1 beer and that’s it.” I’m back into my habit of doing drugs and alcohol every day. Once an addict always an addict. I will quit this while I’m still young and never again.

Diet+exercise=losing weight. I mean I can do some exercise, the hard part is the diet one. Some say count your meal’s calories, avoid eating this and that, etc. But I don’t wanna live my whole life like that, I wanna eat some delicious cuisines and delicacies as I explore diff. places. I want to stay fit but I don’t want to restrict myself much and be conscious of my flabby arms, bloated stomach and belly fat plus the calves
I’ll workout anytime, except on my period. Yes, I know it’s ok to workout on your period, but my flow gets that much heavier and stays here that much longer so no thanks.

As someone who never ran a full mile before 30 and now, two years after starting, runs on average 10km a day, I totally relate to what Rogan is saying.
I have been procrastinating everything lately I lost 23 lbs so far and it seems like i just lost my motivation lol
Some people just don’t get it, they cannot understand that eating healthy & exercising is essential to living a happier life… you can have this and that, all the luxury things you think you want, but without your health you will never really feel good. And it’s the truth. You know it is. Sometimes we need an extra push, sometimes we do let ourselves slack off because of whatever reason (working too much, exhaustion, stress, etc.), sometimes we need that motivation back: sometimes we need that slap in the face that makes us remember how important it is and that WE CAN DO IT again! I love how he refers to ourselves (individual human beings) as our own ecosystems. I love that. It’s so true people! Think about the food you eat, for example. You know the organic, natural food grown from the ground is what is truly the most healthy. The food farmers grow on their own and the food we really can grow ourselves too! It’s not convenient, and there are a lot of things so many of us would have to change and get used to… but really think about your health. Do you truly want to be the healthiest you’ve ever been or ever could be? Because I think it’s a worthwhile investment!

the best motivation to exercise for me is thinking about my performance in competitive games. i don’t tilt very much whenever i work out, so im able to comeback from games. my aim has gotten a lot better too

Tip 1 isn’t all that realistic for people who work in retail jobs. We go in at all hours and don’t have a set schedule. I can go in at 5am on day and go in at 8pm the next day. Schedules change from week to week. You can never predict what your schdeule is going to be to schedule workouts is a pain in the ass. I love the motivation and quick and easy workouts you put out for us.
My family all have fitbits and we make challenges to see who gets the most steps, that seems to work!
Fitness definitely isn’t a vanity thing. Those who think it is, need to have their value system revamped:)

My grandmother just passed away, my family is in the process of selling our house with nowhere planned to go afterward, I have nowhere planned to go to college now because they’re moving all of us and classes are a month away….I’ve been really struggling with motivation these past few days. The stress and depression has been high and I haven’t had the energy to want to do anything… let alone work out. But I can’t lose my progress.. I’m gonna try to keep pushing
What annoys me is if my workout doesn’t leave me sore and miserable after I feel like it isn’t working. But if it does leave me sore, then I’m in pain which makes me feel like I can’t work out the next day…

My motivation always stick to me when its cold and raining, but if it is hot and sunny outside i always lose motivation… it’s like I’m not inspired when its sunny…
I stopped most exercise because I had a great body I was lean at 14 body fat and got vert heavy all of a sudden gaining 3 stone. Now I’m 34 percent body fat I’m female and am eating just as much but am now twice the size it’s not hythyroid. I’m wondering if I ate too little and dropped my neat levels or became subconsciously lazy the more I ran and walked the more I weighed. No clothes are wearable and i had health problems like osteoporosis and cancer scare. Now I can’t bring myself to train anymore as I gained nine pounds eating 1400 calories and training two hours. It’s the worst way I can think of to deliberately gain bodyfat. What the hell? I’m really upset. Was it as I trained for so long that drastically slowed my metabolism. I did not eat the calories to match that length of time. My deficit was a 1000 calories and I stayed the same and gained weight. I did 500 cal deficit I lost a bit. Can exercise above a certain point cause weight gsin. I just can’t do it anymore. Its not good.

I just get up and do it. I sometimes feel like skipping out but I ALWAYS feel great after working out. That is the best reason to get up and just do it. You will feel fantastic! And also a sense of accomplishment:D Why would you not?
Helping me to find motivation could save my life.. I’m way too overweight or rather OBESE. I Hate that word ugh . But it’s true. There is no “get fit”. Some people are born with better physical abilities than others, some people can lift weights and eat copious amounts of chicken for decades, and they still won’t be as big as Arnold Schwarzenegger or Kai Greene when they were in their early 20’s.
I feel like believing that you are the cause of everything in your life can have some pretty drastic effects on your mental health like if a lover cheated on you you might start believing that you’re not good enough or that it’s your fault something completely out of your control happened

so i was really tired of them being dicks to me, saying im skinny and i have noodle arms
so i decided to make a change
i grew strong and i got a 6 pack to show off to girls (best part smh)
anyways, i switched schools for 2 years and when i came back to that school they didn’t recognise me
when they realised it was me i put the 2 meanest of them in a headlock and told them not to bully anyone again
the ‘nerds’ and other kids that normally got bullied were fine after and i even got invited to the popular group of kids, which were actually nice

I started with a commitment of 1. I hiked once a week for nearly a year and that was easy when I did for a few weeks then I started increasing and max was 4 a week. I also had some times when I felt so lazy and demotivated but it was not that hard to get back on track. The best thing I did was took before photos and measurements so I can compare. I am now 5kgs lighter, 6cm smaller from waist, 7 minutes faster during hiking. Small progress but there is still a difference. Also mindset, I am also a practicing minimalist so I have mental
clarity and more time to do other things

Now, I should preface this by saying not to take too much stock in my comment as I am morbidly obese (26 yo, 6,5”, 260 lbs) But Videos like this are wild to me. I have never, not once, in my entire life had a positive experience working out and I’ve certainly never felt “good” after. I think people need to stop lying and say that working out is fun or makes you feel better when that simply isn’t true. Will it make me healthy? Maybe? Will it make me lose weight? Maybe. But don’t lie to my face and say it will make me feel like anything other than utter garbage after. It always has and always will. Working out is something people need to treat like going to the dentist or doctors. It won’t be mildly enjoyable in the slightest. But it is mandatory for health. Some people just can’t break the cycle. Some people just can’t find that motivation. And before you start shutting on me, save it. I already know trust me. Just decided to die on my own terms on my 30th birthday so don’t worry.
I’ve just started doing homeworkouts. I’m two weeks in. I hope this goes on and get some results in a couple of months.

New years resolution r junk all we need to do is discipline our slefs we all know being motivated is fine but once it’s whereof it can be even hard to do simple work but having discipline makes everything easy which we can make into good habit.
I remember I saw the #1 Carcinogen in the U.S was being overweight, it leads to cancer, heart disease diabetes etc, all which can lead to very painful ailments and a much harder life, ever since I found this out, I at least do some pushups and lift weights basically every morning compared to nothing and over eating, it scared me enough to make a shift in the right direction!

For me, travel is my motivation. If I am not in shape, I can’t fully experience the beauty of where I go. I LOVE running the stairs and getting to the top before the rest of the tour group, I get minutes of alone time to enjoy the view before everyone else arrives. I love hoping on a bike to see a new city versus a cab or tour bus, I get to see things so much more personally. Here is a statistic for you, 90% of all people who visit Yellowstone will never go more than 10 minutes from their car! WHAT??? Yup, there is so much more to Yellowstone than Old Faithful and if you are not in shape, you won’t see how beautiful this world really is. When I go on vacation, I DO things, not just sit on the beach. Yes, everyone needs something different. I have a desk job so moving on vacation is my huge, for some who have an active job, I FULLY understand sitting on a beach might be just what you need to recover, I am not judging you. Just adding what I do. And YES, vanity has something to do with it to, once you get in good shape, you WILL hear people say things, sometimes sarcastically: Holy crap, did you see him running the stairs, who does he think he is… Wow, he is in good shape… Wish I was like him… Not gonna lie, every time I hear that, it feels GOOD!!!!

Dude I went from 356 the highest I ever weighed to 260, quit going to the gym because I got comfortable. Gained some of it back now with this quarantined. It’s also important to consider that from an evolutionary perspective, our minds are totally geared against expending calories for things that don’t produce results necessary for our survival. Our ancestors were constantly outside working to find food, build shelter, and collect the necessary materials for them to live. When they weren’t doing that, they were conserving calories. While having intrinsic motivation and being aware that you are in control of your life are great steps, I think it’s also important to be aware that there is a basic survival instinct making you avoid exercise. If you can be aware of this, it’s much easier to overcome it and say “My instincts are saying I shouldn’t expend these calories, but I know better.” At least, that’s what has worked for me!

I am more harder to get motivated but I always will motivate myself into anger and vengeance without any care but for me I just don’t like people telling me what to do or what not to do because it takes my god damned rights away From most of my time living in Australia from birth I have noticed that school gives everyone propaganda and other problems that everyone knew but doesn’t want to learn any more because everything taught at school are the same old nothing new. Police give everyone threats and take people’s rights away and the government of Australia just makes shit rules so everyone has their rights and freedom taken away from them Australia to me will always be a shit prison country because of rights stripping.

I’m not sure if I still have a healthy relationship with exercising. I’ve had an eating disorder for 2 years and I’ve struggled with working out everyday even tho I hated it because the only reason was to get rid of the binges and the calories which made it worse cause of the binge attacks. Can you talk more in detial about optimism giving us a sense of satisfaction and making us lose the motivation to finish what we started. Please talk in detail and offer a solution in particular. It happens with me all time and is followed by the what the hell effect later

I’m motivated because I don’t want to get left behind by my peers or people younger then me. I want to achieve higher than others so if they do better than me I naturally start doing better to best that person.

My best suggestion is to wake up early morning and drink a cup of coffee, then watch a good motivation video on YouTube like menstura’s and then work out for around 45 minutes. After that you should feel super energetic and motivated throughout the day! You could also try nofap or Adderall if this doesn’t work out for you. Have fun and acheive your dreams!

I love working out. This worst part is getting up and turning of the series your watching or getting up out of bed. But like once i start releasing those endorphins I just don’t want to stop. I always try to workout of my period too and I literally never get cramp.

I go alone to the gym, but I go to classes, I have a friend in some of the classes. I also take another one of my friend’s who is a group fitness instructor her classes. But I also like solo workout too. Love This.

Sometimes told me about a car now I know where it came from, you. The concept of the car influence my thinking greatly. You talk about discomfort being a friendship I think it could be.
