I did the same thing…stop all red meat for about 7months only at baked fish and if I didn’t have fish then chicken breast baked. eventually I gave up the chicken and fish. But it was strange because I really didn’t act up like most people do. Maybe because I was already eating fish and veggies cooked. im doing great and don’t see any reason to go back to meat!
2 mths vegetarian and i feel and look great. I fasted at first so i lost some weight but as a black woman i like a lil weight on it, so ive been studying healthy proteins and fats and my thickness is coming back. I was lean wit no jiggle, but my jiggle coming back now. I started this journey for spiritual purposes. I feel alot better emotional as well. Its worth it ladies, in every since of the way. Oh yeah ph balanced, sweat even taste + smell different.

tuesday i felt so hungry i just got a roasted chicken and ate 2/3 of it i swear. I don’t like grains and bread for the most part so its cool that I don’t even have desire i learned that from the low carb diet. Yesterday was all vegetarian. I guess I am on the part time vegetarian diet. But i feel so much better mostly satisfied and sleep through the night and don’t have very many cravings, (yesterday i was craving blood oranges) Although yesterday I was also feeling a little discouraged at some point in the middle of the day because I had no backup plan to know what to make for lunch. IDK Its is definately an emotional roller coaster.

I’m 9 months vegan, my first month taste was not as exciting for me. But over time the taste of the plant-based foods have become far more pronounced. Also it is essential to eat beans and whole grains. if you are gaining weight on the beans and whole grains switch out for larger salads. if your meeting friends see your salad and don’t think oh my God are you feeding a family of 8 with that?!?!?! In the salad is not big enough. this will help stem the weight gain from eating excessive amounts of grains. Beans have a fair amount of calories if you actually can eat that many. But having a good salad with every meal can be helpful. And I like to eat four times a day. though I am not a small vegan as I tend to eat too many Bobo bars. And some of the other things that have oils in them. Oils are very similar in meat as far as calories to density. So I as a vegan do not recommend oils, but I do not have stain from them either.just be warned oils are bad. Make sure if you are on a total plant based diet you must be taking a B12. Understand that you can get B12 from plants grown in a 100% no chemical farming. Though they are not substantial enough in most cases to sustain the amount you need. As well unless you’re drinking live water, stream or lake. Without filtration which will give you exposure to other bacterias and illnesses. But would sip stain you on your B12 levels. The best thing you can do is take a supplement once a week 2500 units, or maybe 500 units five times a week.

Girl, I needed to see this. I went Pescatarian in February just to try it. I did ok at first but then I cheated with Bacon. I got a migraine that night, which I suffered with for years before going pescatarian. Then for the last month I’ve been vegetarian and the constipation was killing me. I used to be bloated and i would have stomach cramps and like painful gas in my stomach(tmi i know, i dont care) and after i stopped eating meat the only thing that’s different is i dont have stomach cramps anymore and even when i eat the like plant based meat my stomach cramps so i on eat fish and it doesnt bother me ♀️

Make sure to still get plenty of B12. I think that is only found inside animals, so you’ll need to get B12 supplements.

That was just the way my mom was taught to make them growing up in Africa. So it was the way she taught me. I never understood why people said beans caused gas until I read an article telling people to soak their beans before cooking them to reduce gas. Lol

When I stopped eating animal products (I was doing keto), and went back to carbs and all kinds of plants, I lost 10 kgs, got so much more energy. I started my own business and my libido is sky high (2-3 times per day = happy wife). Meat contains a lot of stress hormones, so now I am much more calm and mentally balanced. There are only advantages by skipping dead animals and the like.

I feel lighter and less bloated but I don’t think I’ve lost weight. I am taking vit b complex suppliments and glucomannan yam based weight loss tablets. I am still eating eggs and cheese. I’m definitely eating a lot of cheese. I tried keto last year( up and down) I definitely put on weight as soon as I began to fail due to all the fat consumption

Not all vegan or vegatriain are skinny some of them gain weight without eating any meat.

this is so real. i’ve done the same thing. it feels so good and i have more energy as well. meat has been something my family and i have been working on for awhile. we are now at the point. it makes our tummies feel funny even at the thought of eating meat. you go gurl. you look so beautiful
