I do some hard core exercise every few day that give me headaches, short periods of time with a lot of exercise added. I’ve been doing this detox for a day and a half, I feel relaxed but sweating so much. Is this safe With all the exercise I’m doing.

Thanks, I am transitioning to raw and doing a candida cleanse and parasite cleanse at the same time. This is week one and it has been an emotional rollercoaster… so glad to know its gonna get easier. I am in a transition stage, eating 98 % organic, coffee free caffeine free mostly raw and no gluten, wheat, or dairy. My diet was formerly coffee, fried, burgers and fries, etc. I have been going through a “detox” for over 2 months it seems. I have had 3 colds and otherwise feel great. Is it possible this is still detox or is something else possibly going on? First week was rough, going to the restroom over 7 times a day. This week I have a headache and have not before.

Hi there, I appreciate what you’re trying to do but what you’re suggesting takes a lot of understanding for different body types. If someone is detoxing, recommending they eat wheat or grains may not be the wisest decision. The idea is to avoid that sort of goo in the intestinal track. The “feel worse” part of the detox varies for everyone and should not be cheated. Slowing down the process might be achieved in a healthier way if the person eats more nuts or seeds.

Converting your body and your diet to a true healthy living foods diet can be intimidating, I know. If you do not take on a vegetarian diet the right way you can easily mess up and send your body into a fatigued state. The biggest mistake I made on a “vegetarian” diet was living off of rice. That was very bad news. Over consumption of white rice and white bread can lead to diabetes because your body is converted all that stuff into un-digestable sugars.
Eating only raw foods sounds a little overwhelming! but it sounds like it would be very rewarding!
Instead of suggesting wheat or cheese, you may want to consider suggesting a “live foods” diet. Live foods allow the person who is converted to not only engage with their food, but learn to create fulfilling living recipes that are somewhat similar to those they ate on the SAD diet. These recipes call for alkalizing seeds and nuts that help create a satiated feeling and also encourage healthy digestion, which wheat and cheese do not.
If you’re going to encourage people, please make sure to provide the wisest information possible. The point of cleansing or transitioning to a raw lifestyle is to Detox. Detox can be controlled by how safely and effectively you can get the toxins out of your system. If someone has the flu, would it be healthier if they took an aspirin to numb the pain or if they pro actively addressed the issue by sweating out the virus and restoring their immune system? Always trust the body to heal itself.

I was already feeling extremely well and mentally clear during the first 2 weeks. But at the end of second week, the detox symptoms are showing up terribly. ‘its weird but it works out and is so worth it in the end
And last, please remember the pace of detoxing and how someone feels when they detox is determined by how fast the toxins are exiting the body. If you juice, cleanse or switch to a raw diet, you should ALWAYS use some sort of organic cleansing method, such as an enema, herbal organic laxative or salt water flush everyday for the first 10 days, and then at least twice a week thereafter until detoxing is complete. @Tesfarezz no. i quit as i went raw. i know it seems like a lot to deal with, getting rid of cooked food AND coffee AND cigarettes, but… becoming raw is about treating yourself kindly. it’s making the choice to treat yourself in the best possible way. smoking cigarettes is just the opposite of this. i think further down the line, when you’ve been a raw foodist for some time, you simply will not want to smoke anymore cause it simply feels wrong to you

It was helpful for me as I’ve had some humdinger headaches this past week since juicing/cutting out meat/dairy caffeine/sugar etc, as well as other symptoms and generally feeling unwell. I’ve got a bad head now as I type. Hope it clears up soon. My mood has defo lifted though, so perhaps I’ve turned a corner? Hope so.
Plz consider breaking down diff detoxing options: 1) raw juicing will cause rapid detox, especially if your diet was considerably unhealthy; therefore, consider you will detox rapidly but will also should adjust back to “feeling good” just as rapidly. The uncomfy process should clear in about a week. Second in line would be whole juicing. This may be easier to endure as whole juicing will provide a more satiated feeling and is higher in fiber.

hmm, not a LOT of things you elaborate on. Only the tiredness and the moodswings. There’s also extreme thirst, possibly acne, constipation or diahrrea etc.
Telling people to eat cheese grains doesn’t seem wise or ethical. The detoxing process is not the fault of the food, but is determined by the method of detox, and should not be cheated if you can help it. Not to mention everyone’s body is diff, so you’re kind of generalizing by boldly suggesting the detox process will make everyone feel worse. I’m not sure your information will be as helpful as you think.
Is blood sugar dropping apart of detox? I’ve been trying to be about 90% raw for a week and I feel like I’m crashing almost constantly. Not enough calories? Too much fat? Any ideas!?!?

I am just starting Raw juicing right now.This is my 5th day.I am feeling awesome. although you are right, I have been quite sleepy and had a bit of headaches these past few days too.I am loosing weight!! What do you think about organic, unrefined, cold-pressed coconut oil? Would you say any other oil is better? I’m concerned that I’m not getting enough fat. For myself, I have a diet of primarily raw vegetables and a little bit of fruit. I have had sugar sensitives for a long time and I balance it out this way. I make sure I have enough protein and omega fatty acids (3, 6, 9) and take vitamin supplements to make sure I am at my optimal health and not deficient in anything.

Hi… What a lot of people do not know or realize is the standard vegetarian diet is not very healthy because you can be easily encouraged to eat processed foods. The only way you can take on a successful vegetarian diet is if a good portion of it is raw, and the rest is homemade, unprocessed, and your starches (breads, pastas) are controlled. Very controlled. In fact I would say if you can drop breads and processed foods all together and increase dramatically in green juicing then you’re gold.

My only issue is waking up in the morning for work as coffee seems like the only thing that helps. I tried apples and other fruit in the morning but for me they don’t wake me up.
I can relate to a lot of this. Thank you SO much. Very insightful. I am on week 1 of raw and I had my first major headache..i slept amazing last night, but woke up with a bad headache and nausea. So I drank a liter of warm lemon water, then had 5 oranges. I ate them slowly to be careful of my nausea. I am feeling 50% better an hour or so later. Its just about accepting these symptoms, taking care of them, and resting when you need to (if you can).:):)
