When you do this diet you can expect 3 hours sleep max. Even with advil PM’s your body is just in overdrive and will not let you sleep. It’s better then coffee or cocaine. After a few days when you can’t shutdown there is nothing better then a slice of pizza to knock you out for 8 hours
I used to workout since 9th grade, and also was in the Marines until 2004. I’ve always kept in good shape until I started having major energy issues which took 4 years to finally get the reason why. I went through all the sleep studies and came to find out that I have Complex Sleep Apnea and Narcolepsy. It got so bad I was falling asleep standing up in the store or wherever I was. Now that I got the help I need I’m on the road to get back in shape even though the best medicine helps but is not a cure. Trying to get back to my normal weight of 185 and I’m at 215. 6ft btw. I used to have a lot of caffeine… 600 800 mgs a day. Then I was diagnosed with a thyroid condition and put on a couple of different medications to correct those levels and one to help with energy. After a couple of withdrawal caffeine headache days… I might have a cup of tea a few times a week or a small cup of coffee on early days now. Major shift.

So eat lean meats, eat lots of veggies, have healthy snacks like nuts and fruit etc, stay away from sugar and refined sugars, stay away from carbs, drink lots and lots of water, keep alcohol limited but if you do drink water??? My caffeine varies between days, some days I do 0 mg while other days im at 350-400 mg, i never go over 400 as that is supposed to be your daily maximum. Most days I should be around 150-200 mg.

Have you thought about doing diets for certain conditions? I have adult onset type 1 diabetes. Learning what works for my body has been a challenge. Having a video out there to show others trying to eat what we should be eating would be fun to watch. Some people say low carb others say plant based only. Also testing your sugars before all meals. Trust me when I say that’s minimal testing. I’m testing a lot to find how everything is effecting me personally. Showing others the struggle others go through everyday would be great. Thanks

For the guy staring at the candy: that’s how I kicked my sweet tooth. I’d walk through the cookie aisle but not buy anything. Resisting the initial urge for ten minutes when I would go to the store was about all it took (though it took me months to really get over it).
Great it helped you:) Just a little hesitant to believe that half of America is intolerant to gluten it’s a serious illness that can be diagnosed by doctors. So if you feel better with less carbs don’t confuse it with gluten “allergies” the substitute products (carbs without gluten) aren’t necessarily healthy, it’s just the only thing people with the real illness can have. (Something else with dairy/ lactose which a lot of people are allergic to)

My food choices are all about my mood and my ever-changing digestive system, and I exercise to make my brain happier. Sure, I wanna look a certain way, but I really want to feel good. It’s so nice seeing you talk about finding foods that make you feel better, and not just focusing on weight loss. That’s something I love about watching you. Keep it up!

I’m sure there’s an ArthristisUSA group that looks at taking out ingredients that aggravate inflammation in the body. Sadly, from what I remember, coffee but not tea is ruled out.

Having even an intolerance to gluten like I do SUCKS because it’s everywhere!! and because I only have an intolerance I sometimes get REALLY bad stomach aches and sometimes I can get away with eating it, but it’s never a good idea for me lmao!!! It’s always nice to see more gluten free options, and dairy free because my roommate is dairy-free!!

Lactose intolerance is very common. Basically a spectrum of how much it takes to make you shit your pants. My husband is about 1/4cup, while I apparently can go through a gallon in a couple hours and nothing.
I have seen that maybe as many as 95% of people who say they are gluten intolerant are full of shit. If you are eating a shitty diet that makes you sick (processed and highly refined) and then drop all of those things and suddenly eat healthier, you will feel different. Pastas and grains are cheap and good, chock full of nutrients (both micro and macro). Just don’t pile on the crap and keep it simple!
I’m skeptical of every diet because what leads to weight loss is reducing what goes in and increasing the energy that comes out. Some plans work better for some people, and only those that can actually become a lifestyle are sustainable.

I would say that Tom Brady’s diet has less to do with thinness and more to do with Health, considerations like Cholesterol, Blood Pressure, Inflammation Markers, Antioxidants, Micro Nutrients, Imuno-function, and Microbiota are the real benefits of his Dietary regimen.

My dad died 1.5 years ago & I am still mourning. I now have 5 autoimmune illnesses that are caused by and/or exacerbated by stress & my cortisol levels are through the roof. Gluten is just one of those things that can destroy you. Many don’t have symptoms and say it’s fine to have but I reality it’s not. Been gluten free for years now and all my stomachache plus bathroom issues are gone. Few seconds of enjoying putting something in your mouth can last hours of a bad day.
