You don’t lose weight to get healthy, you get healthy to lose weight. Eating too few carbs is bad, too many is bad, same for protein, and fats? Eat good ones and don’t eat too much. Nutritional Kinkytosis is out, HRT is in, but only if you need it.
i love this woman. she is brilliant. i screwed up my hormones by going on a ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting. after an initial honeymoon period, my period stopped, i got incredibly irritable, i would wake up with dry mouth and a racing heart at 4am (actually, the latter happened from the start.)
but luckily, after a BUNCH of digging around (the keto preaching out there is STRONG) i (re!)-discovered her work, and i’m finally starting to fix things by following her second book, the schwarzbein principle II. i am so grateful to have rediscovered her. (first read her first book many years ago when i first went on a moderately low-carb diet.)

You mention in your book, “Schwarzbein Principle” that you promote low carb and high fat. In this video you suggest that low carb is basically what is causing many health issues. Can you please explain the contradiction. It’s the contradictions that confuse the public.

Going on the Wheat Belly diet really messed me up. Not because of giving up wheat, but the author really tells you go to low carb.

Dr. Schwarzbein is great. Her work on hormones should dovetail very nicely with circadian rhythm research in the coming years. All these hormones peak at various times of the day, and can be amplified or extinguished with eating etc.
I’ve been saying this for years. Every person who has dieted, is a perfect example of this in reality.
Hi I just had gastric sleeve done on June 22 2017 I’m 3 weeks out and I lost 26 pounds but now I’m gaining weight again is this normal please help me

I followed your plan for around 2 months prior to my surgery (plus i also cut out meat) and found it amazing in terms of how i felt and the almost 40lbs i lost. Since surgery (7 weeks ago) however I’ve found that now i can’t tolerate really any of the artificial protein products as they make me very sick as does milk, cheese, etc. now. So whereas i try to get a lot of plant based proteins in I’m nowhere near my protein goal. I still feel great when i don’t try to force/sneak in these processed products though so I wonder if you feel this is a problem and i should persist trying to keep them down?
