This helped me so much! i’m just now discovering your channel and all these old videos. thanks!!
Hi, I was wondering if you could make sense of something for me..I am 37 years old and have been very thin my entire life. i do not gain weight no matter what I eat and never have, in fact if I don’t eat a lot I begin to lose weight sometimes rapidly and feel awful. I have recently started plans on an aquaponic greenhouse using tilapia as the fish crop. I am doing this not because I have weight problems,I just want to eat healthy. do you have any pointers for me on these topics. Thanks.
For a protein based metabolism is up and down stairs a good workout?
I took the g plans test and I’m carbohydrate efficient, which means I do better on carbs than I do fats. Literally I live off carbs and I don’t gain a pound. From what gplans sais this makes up 23% of the population that are carbohydrate efficient. I’m so fortunate because I love carbs so much. I went on keto for about a week and could not function my body felt like it was dying and that diet in general made me feel horrible. Carbs, veggies, starches and fruits are my best friends. I don’t need meat or dairy at all as long as I live a high carb life style I’m good. Everyone is different tho.
Please do some more research on Metabolic Typing before you speak about it!!! Metabolic typing is more than what your Great, Great Grandparents ate, it looks at the Scientific and Metabolic differences that make each person unique. Things like your Sympathetic v Parasympathetic nervous system, Oxidative systems, and Endocrine types. Each of these come together to create METABOLIC BALANCE. You really have DUMBED it down and our doing a HUGE DIS-SERVICE to yourself and your followers.
you rock as usual! I have learned life time lessons from you and this time was not the expection. Thanks for the great work!
why do people go back only until the “caveman era” when trying to determine optimal nutrition? we all descend from Africa’s jungles and savannas (more than 200K years ago), eating mainly exotic fruits, vegetables and of course the occasional prey..
of course, people adapted to a more northern meat-based diet after migrating, because of the colder weather and scarcity, but yet again, people adapted to wheat and dairy, too, so there goes that argument..
Thank you so much for making this video. I really appreciate the direct and clear explanations.
I was diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia. How can I figure out what Metabolic type I am? I want to lose weight. keep my sugars leveled and of course have energy.
Great video!:) Never heard about G-type before, thanks for sharing!
I think I am a protein type but I am a veggie. what so you suggest?
hey vince. You are saying that we should eat foods found in the nature. What about supplements? I have been following you for a while and you are a huge fan of supplements.( me too) These products have been made in the lab. It is all processed. I would like to state that for living longer the best diet is the mediterranean diet. In this diet you should consume meat twice a week!!!!! Maybe too much protein ( eating meat every day ) is actually really bad for us in the longterm? Thank you
You are great, I have been researching, and took the type quiz, I am a protien type. You answered the question as to why I am always hungry. I now know that I need to feed my body with protien, green type fiber, and barely any sugar or bread grains. This research has taught me a lot about the things to make my body healthy and functioning properly.
i am really confuse if i am carbs person should i eat more protein or carbs to loss weight?
hey vince what would you do if you dont have access to any gym. What could be your strategy to maintain that muscle mass for long time. What do we need then stress or protein
I’m a protein type! I love to eat! Breakfast to me is a HUGE deal! I’m irritated my whole day if i dont eat breakfast. The problem is I dont always have time to make an egg and breakfast! I’ve done protein smoothies, but those get me tired too sometimes. What else could I possibly do for breakfast that doesnt involve a whole lot of carbs?
Ok i have a important question and i hope you take the time to answer it. I was diagnosed with Hypoglycemia back in the day or low blood Sugar does this mean I am a protein type?
pls make a video about 30 bananas a day… and their preaching of eating as many calories of fruit-carbs as u want…. they recommend 2500 min. for women and 3000 min. for men. (no limit….)
There’s to many factors to say I felt tired after I ate that chicken.
Did you put your body into state, through fasting and performance enhancing exercise hunting down the prey for survival, because if you did prior to eating that chicken, you would of felt great!
Different lifestyles deserve different eating habits, i believe in being a creative opportunistic omnivore and eating in accordance to the demand s or lack of demands I place on myself Within my environments, regardless of genetic heritage I.e as long as it’s sourced directly from Mother Nature biochemically suited to me as a individual and the biological state I’ve Create through movement etc then my body will digest and ingest what I need effortlessly.
Fact trough fissile prove healthy humans can take advantage of the surplus of vitimins, minerals and nutrients found in meat.
Sick ooptunistic overviours should fast and eat alkalising foods to resort all systems through cellular regeneration.
I have never dove into this topic in depth with anyone but I liked learn something new!
Hey Vince I’m was an endo…now I’m more like Meso after a lot of hard work. I typically eat things like rice cous cous pasta (all wholemeal of course) but was thinking means as sweet potato is from the ground would that be a better carb choice?
Always be hyper-skeptical of “scientific” studies funded by companies who benefit from said results…
Hi vince, really nice videos you are doing, I need to ask you 1 questions about the shoulders. What 3 excerices do you think are the best for the round shoulders?
Are fruit and oatmeal no good for breakfast if I’m a protein type?
Maybe save the really complicated questions/answers for Live Large TV so only the really dedicated viewers like myself will watch them. Personally I love these ones because I’m always looking to expand my knowledge, hence why I got a Live Large membership.
hey I’m a new subscriber and also new to dieting I’ve tried so many times before but it never works cause I’m always so hungry within a half an hour after I eat it’s horrible also I’m the type where when I eat savory food I always have to follow up with something sweet it’s like a need.. I was wondering if in any way you could help me at least give me tips on how to control my hunger or know of any good appetite suppressants
actually I like this video better than the last one you posted, anyway good work vince:)
Can you please recommend some good supplements?(post workout)
My trouble is that my ancestors were from Russia and I do feel incomplete if I just eat a salad or fruit, but my stomach gets angry with all the meat and fat that I crave. Sushi is the only thing that gives me that light feeling I get with the salad, but with the satisfaction of the meat. Unfortunately it’s expensive and I’d get sick of it if I ate it all the time.
I had no idea what metabolic types were before this video. Learned so much!
You are smart and beautiful and sexy and cute. All at the same time.
I have fast metabolism lol I knew it way before just wanted to know if it’s true
BEWARE G-Plans will NOT refund your money if you try to Cancel it. They took me for $170.00 and will NOT credit my acct even though I cancelled it and will NOT be using it. What kind of practice is that??? BOOO to G-plans!!!
This is so interesting. I have been learning about different diet typing, even with your blood type.
I’ll take my advice from you because your always glowing in every video.
I’m a carb type? I can survive on a banana for breakfast.
Thanks for all the knowledge Vince! I am a college basketball player and practice 4-5 times per week for 2-3 hours a day. I do weight lifting 3 times per week, in a basketball focused plan. I am an ectomorph and it has been hard for me to gain weight (unless I spend my whole day cooking-eating-working). I am having some gains, but they are very slow, can you give me any tip about what athletes like me should do to gain weight more quickly? Thanks Vince you’re the man.
yippeeeeeeeeeeee I han now have cannoli’s for post work meal LOL j/k but they are yummy
Thank you for clarifying that we all may not do well on the same diet. Just to be clear though, a correct paleo diet should be moderate meat intake not huge amounts at every meal and it includes lots of fresh veggies.
I’ve had a DNA test done and I have a fast metabolism and need to eat 48% carbs, 34% fats and 18% protein. I was eating high protein and getting it wrong. Tried low carbing. Wrong. It feels weird to eat this way and I still can’t wrap my head around the fact my results say I have a fast (inefficient) metabolim, but I’m learning. What about meatabolic damage though?
Really simple if it swam, ran, breathed and grew outside EAT IT
lol… since 2000 bc we have started to eat carbs like our main food… from 1100 ac in scandinavias most periferistic place that is finland we switched almost fully to things that we can get from fields and finland was one of the last places in europe where that started to happend before that rome lived from the fields almost completely so should we all eat just carb paced diets!? no….
I take everything you guys say into consideration. THANK YOU for your feedback and as you’ve probably noticed from the comment responses, there are a mixture of feeling. Could you be MORE specific about the “basic” topics you want covered and I would be happy to dedicate a few to you and everyone in your camp. FYI the questions I answer come OFF my facebook fan page so be sure to submit questions when I ask for them. Have a blessed day.
Thank you for this informative and interesting video about metabolic typing diets!
Great post Yuri. I love your non-dogmatic approach and open mind to life’s unlimited possibilities. Thank you!
I have more information about this subject on my website, Metabolic Me, if anyone is interested in learning more.
I absolutely love how well-rounded this video was, and how you focused more on the personal aspect of body and less on the expectation on what we should be doing according to fads. LOVE the focus on personal health.
Thank you so much for this wonderful video Brenda. I just started watching your videos and I love them, you are super helpful. I never even knew that there was metabolic types. I’m not sure if I’m the protein type or the mix. How can I tell the difference exactly? Can I still be a protein person if I don’t do well with red meats and salt?
I’ve never heard of metabolic typing and G-plans, super helpful video! Thanks for sharing, Coach Viva! ❤
I feel drained all the time no matter what I eat… The only difference is that I am stronger and less bloated when I eat more protein.
I disagree. Vince is one of the most informative guys out here on youtube. The videos that he makes offer sound bodybuilding advice and make all the sense in the world and he doesn’t get too scientific like Layne Norton. “stick to the basics, spice things up” Most people are already doing the basics my friend. Sometimes you have to find different things to shake up the body into new development. Think outside the box, not just on the basics.
the whole protein, carb, and mixed type explains why the diet world is so confuskng and every “fitness gurus” have different opinions and thoughts when it comes to carbs and protein. this explains alot thank you.
A 50/30/20 (Carbs/Proteins/Fats) macro split is what I recommend for ectos.
VINCE THERE WERE CANCER WE JUST DIDN’T HAVE FOUND IT YET… AND BTW PEOPLE DIED ALL THE TIME ON THINGS WHAT FOOD CAUSED TO EM SO CHECK OUT YOUR FACTS
Could not agree more about eating the foods that our ancestors ate years ago, our bodies are not designed to eat all the processed crap but I’m finding its getting harder and harder to stay clear of it all. I’d hate to be around in 100 + years time, I feel sorry for my children and one day there children!
How on earth do y’all not have more subscribers and views. Your videos are so informative
Hi everyone! I can’t download the questionnaire! can someone send it to me please? I think it’s just out of date or it was maybe deleted from the site…
I was JUST wondering this, the HCLF diet seems so popular right now, but I do love my fats (pb & avocado & coconut) I cannot live without fats! Or go low….not sure how I’d fare on HCLF…but I think I *might fit it, bc I love my carbs, bananas & broccoli & baby carrots & cauliflower could be my life tbh
long time subscriber. Nice to see the quality improving! the info was always top notch. Now the production is off the chain. awesome work!
I’m definitely the mixed type. This info answered a lot my questions
The science behind metabolic type diet is got to do with our Autonomic nervous system. Our autonomic system divided into two parts, Parasympathetic and Sympathetic system.
Different gene type and ethnicity have different set of dominance in these two systems. On one extreme example, Eskimoes and Nordics, traditionally extremely Parasympathetic dominant. On the other end of spectrum, Pacific Islanders and South-East Asians are very Sympathetic dominant.
Parasympathetic dominant people, tend to be more alkaline naturally. Therefore the require high protein diet from animal food (which is acidic) to counter balance their already very alkaline system.
Sympathetic dominant people are the opposite. Therefore they required plant base diet which is very alkaline to counter balance their naturally acidic system.
So true, and once you find what works for your body, youve got it made for life:) thank you yuri you have been a mentor for me for years, and for the earth as well
So as a polar (protein) type a keto kind of diet would be good? Are you involved with the Chek institute btw?
Brenda, what do you think of 21 day fix? I’ve been on it since jan and gained 10lbs. but I’ve been on and off
but so many people lose weight off this.
Wait what? The u look near the boobs area u can see something the looks like that white thing when u use a mouse this person stealing shiiiiit
I’m protein & mixed! Haha I suit more towards the protein metabolic explanation but i LOVE MY CARBS. Healthy complex ofc!
hi Brenda I also heard something about eating according to your blood type is this same or similar to that. thanks
Great episode. I think metabolic types are impacted by the things we eat. An example i can think of are the Samoans on Hawaii. Samoans can eat a lot, but they started getting heavier after immigrant came there with cheaper and more chemically enhanced food. After the immigration diabetes and obesity went off the chart. I read a nice article about this once, cant find it anymore though.
Omg the protein type…you just described me. Always craving salty food…and living to eat, always wanting a big breakfast haha.
Most guys have overdeveloped front delts. So if you want rounder delts, develop your side and rear delts. Lateral raises and bent over lateral raises are a good place to start.
Whoa… this is the first time I’ve heard of metabolic typing or G-type! This content is densely packed and super informative!
I eat soo much gain so much weight but guess what
I look like a skinny legend
This video was so interesting. I had never heard of metabolic typing and you explained the history and lack of science behind it very well. I learned so much today. Thank you!
This makes perfect sense. I’m an Endomorph and I once did the South Beach diet and lost weight steadily for 3 and a half months then maintained for another couple months before I went off track. I definitely do better on a low carb high protein diet. But my weakness is desserts and I love good bread and fries too… And wine… #whyme?
The zone is the best duet. It s balanced between carbi and proteiins
I am either carb or mix however my friend is the carb diet and my other friend is protein diet
i dont know what your saying your too hot i watched this hole video and idk so protine
Do some really intense home workouts…keep you protein high, and you DEFINITELY don’t need stress 😉 haha
this really sounds like a lot of pseudo science… i understand you’re just interpreting your knowledge of this metabolic typing, but i HIGHLY doubt eating frequency preference is determined by what seems to me as arbitrary metabolic types.
You guys are crazy. The guy is one of the most knowledgeable ppl on the net when it comes to fitness lifestyle. If you want the basics there are tons of places you can learn the basics. The basics aren’t so basic though as you’ll learn if you’ve applied anything you’ve learned into your life. You want the basics then you’ll get shitty basic results listen to what’s being said, do you research and get the most from your results.
Thanks for the great advice! I’m 21 and starting to learn more about good nutrition so that I can feel more energised/ healthier and I’m definitely getting confused with all the differing advice out there.
I love that we should just experiment with ourselves to find the foods that make us feel our best:)
there is no such thing as our body is not designed for this. our body adapts to what ever situation over decades
Lol Bruh I have fast metabolism I eat healthy and well some times I eat junk food
You what they say: can’t please all of the people all of the time. I like the “in depth” videos myself, then again, I’m an experienced lifter. Maybe those looking for “the basics” are very young, or just starting out, but I don’t think 6 minutes is at all too long. “The basics” have already been done to death on uTube. To each his own I guess… (sorry, the 2nd cliché…)
To be specific, It’s not so much your topics that are making this channel boring, but the way you present your videos. Every video for some while has been of you sitting and talking as you usually would, which is very predictable. I would think it would be better for us including yourself, to go back to your roots (ex. the workout videos, cooking, one minute answers) to keep everything flowing well, without it being very bland. Thank you.
Vinceeeee lol please read Metabolic Typing Diet by William Wolcott all the way through at least 10 times before you bash the diet. You stated that we should eat like our ancestors did and then you say we shouldn’t. Make up your mind man. And please understand and have applied the knowledge before you say you’re not a fan of something.. Lol
50/50 As a former athletes #Some of the information it true and some is not. There alot of different things that’s hasn’t been mentioned about weight loss and health. In both women and men. A for trying lol
I’m coming out with a True vs False series very soon. You’ll love it.
Thank you, thank you so much for this!!! Off to check out more of your videos. The old adage: if it sounds to good to be true….you all know the rest. Everyone’s gotta have a hook instead of just being honest on what the deal is, but people also like to be sold the whole kit and caboodle and before they go all in, I get it, just that can inspire better food, lifestyle, nutrition choices. We all need a boost and kick in the pants on occasion. I will kick myself in the pants and keep my hard earned monies……and watch more your science based videos!
Make them more interesting, sure.
But if you don’t understand what he is saying, you haven’t watched enough of his vidoes and/or done enough research.
He is making this video for people with serious gains
I’m totally the protein type. Everything you said about the protein type described me perfectly. Thank you! +LeanSecrets
Since when do we refer to bodytypes as protein, carb or mix? Do you not mean Ectomorph, Mesomorph and Endomorph? This just sounds amaturistic.
I have this split. Really good, but had to change food for bulking more pasta and sweat potatoes instead of brown rice
Omg you are so beautiful and knowledgeable
Thanks for the video I’m the protein type lol whenever I eat carbs I just crave more and more food but when I don’t eat carbs I feel full and satisfied
Thanks for the information
I knew it like me and carbs don’t get along
Vince, please go back to quickfire episodes. The 5 questions in under 5 minutes were great. And no need to follow a theme of questions, just a sampling from any given day on your FB page would be sufficient IMO.
Still love the content though, and thanks for providing it!
There is something fundamental with diets, affirmations, visualizations and all the good stuff we use to have the greatest body ever ( and seldom achieve it, or some little percentage of people do). and that is that we need to be clear of emotional blockages. If one is not clear of emotional blockages that impede eating right and and is embeded in our psyche, then dieting of any kind won’t work. Sabotage through confusion, obsession and depression is there to make sure you do not succeed
GREAT AWESOME VIDEO Vince, Furhter thank you so much for your perfect way of speaking as you know u have follwers WW and is so easy to understand when u speak, tks
Hi there, have you heard about Aston Muscle Ripper? (search for it on google) You will discover how to have an outstanding body.
Learned something new today. Never heard of these diets before
Training daily. And I’ve been making a massive amount of gains I’m probably around 15% body fat and I want to slowly decrease this coming into my cutting season. How can I reduce y body ft while still consuming enough calories to keep training daily and build muscle. I am not looking for a frantic cut just a slight decrease.
Can you explain this with picture for someone that is 9 old.
my question is what do you eat if you are a protein type who suffers from high uric acid?
You said eat like your grandfathers after saying dont eat like your grandfathers and then you say eat like your ancestors which is what metabolic typing is
a guy from an area where tropical fruit is abundant can eat it.. it would make my insulin spike
hey vince, i saw in ur videos some really good tips about exercise but i am always doing something wrong so i need some tips bout that. i love exercising however its been a long time that i my belly size stayed the same, in a quite long period of time. i train hard whenever i exercise, i saw ur tips about loosing belly fat, however, my belly shape didn’t really change so could u tell me any tips about foods to eat that could probably help better at loosing my belly fat?
Yo people please checkout my channel. I talk alot about vitality, lifeforce, balance and all sorts of neat stuff. If you want help with your health you can just post a question at my channel. Right now the channel is so small that any person will get their questions answered. And i promise that i will give you a satisfying answer. This is the channel for your health questions!
wow you said it all that’s why I don’t feel big eating a big breakfast lol haha and I desire more carbs
Thank you, Brenda, for posting this info on metabolic body type… great info!
Hey vince, would you say that someone trying to lose weight should cut carbs?
I’m from Scandinavia (Norway) here, feeling a bit offended. OK the winters are hard, but the summers are very summery and quite warm. We have apples, pears, plums, strawberries, little wild strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, currants, black currants, cherries, gooseberries, cloudberries, blueberries and lingonberries (that resemble cranberries, that you thought was our only one) That’s about it. You can tell I look foreward to summer:)
I LOVE this video and all the great information shared! I also love how it was quick and to the point, however, I did find that it was a little confusing to keep up with each type discussed since the subject kept changing. I think words on the screen for each type while mentioned, OR a split screen (half the screen of you talking and the other side the pie chart) would be really helpful. Thank you for this video!!
Good to know there’s a reason I like to eat all the time, and crash big time when I eat sugary food.
Oh Paul Chek, wise guy. he makes hard to understand concepts so simple, cause he actually knows what hes talking about, teaches optimal health and lives it in every sense of that word, not many can say that. To be honest Paul Chek mystic/self realization blogs intrigues me more than his health advice.
Vince, please take this into consideration. In my opinion, your videos are getting a little boring, and that is fine with me, I just want to let you know. Your video topics are getting a little too complicated and we are forgetting the basics. Most of your viewers don’t even need this advice, it just seems a little useless. Stick to the basics, spice things up.
Hey Vince, I would like to get your attention to something that you’re missing out. Yes, the body does secrete insulin and figures out what it has to do with foods, but how is your knowledge standing in how is food actually used via metabolic pathways and how does the autonomic nervous system correlate to that? I would invite you to read “The Metabolic Typing Diet” by Bill Wolcott, there are different authors on metabolic typing, but Bill’s work is the real deal.
It’s so easy to listen to you, and your energy is quite infectious (that’s such a good thing)! Thank you for informing me and making me smile.:)
Great video, Good information. You answered so many questions about my relatives they like foods to be salty.
I personally do not like to eat breakfast morning time and I feel ok. Does this mean I am mixed type?
thanks. good job Brenda.
Hi Brenda, now that your back would you be willing to go a little more in depth about the metabolic typing? How to tell the difference between the combo and the carb metabolic system? Having a hard time deciding what I am and what my sister is.
I do one workout and I lose 1 pound and the workout is 8 min damn
Was I the only one bothered by the little green dot on the screen??♀️
maybe the vegans can listen to this and finally gain a brain. Not everyone is meant to eat a high carb diet.
The metabolic typing diet is basically a system to help you find your own perfect individual diet. Maybe such a system could help reduce the amount of trial and error needed and give a framework or dimensions to work with.
Interesting stuff. I think one of the main points he’s making is just to use common sense with your diet. Whole grains, clean protein sources, fruits and vegetables, the same things you’ve been hearing since you were a kid.
Hey vince i am just wondering what your thoughts are about vegan diets, as well as good muscle building proteins that are vegan friendly. Ive been a vegan for over 3 years and have struggled a bit with gaining good muscle weight while not eating meat.
I crave salty foods all the time and I love eggs and dislike rice and would remove fats whenever I eat meat except for bacon. I have no appetite for breakfast except for bacon and eggs haha. what am i
i love meat and for dessert i would prefer some potato chips, i love cheese and something creamy like milk.
i don’t easily get hungry.
i don’t crave for sweets.
i feel bloated when i eat carbs and sleepy.
i don’t feel full whenever i eat carbs.
i can survive a day without eating carbs.
etc….xD
Thank You so much!!!
this video answered so many questions in my life ❤❤❤❤
I think your metabolic type is “eating the guts, testicles, and flesh of animals for protein”. Great job!
I’m a mixed type, but sometimes I crave food like the protein type.
This is full of so much misinformation and meso types have already been debunked
You look like Scarlett Johansson + Taylor Swift, in a good way.
Is there a reference for us to get our metabolic profile done? Does he Bill have a website?
